OP, I was thinking, could we set up shop in other towns like DBRL does and get even more RUs out of them? Darwians specialize in medicine and sell services and products related to them, we, on the other hand, could set up our own consulate where we use mechanical, computer and electric skills that we have. Repairing, modifying and or pimping vehicles, weapons, equipment. Offering our services to repair faulty infrastructure equipment. Etc.

Also, I liked the idea of recruitment offices that were brought up previous thread. I don't think they would have negative impact on our reputation.

Our consulates should be like the one in Parish, heavily manned with PA troops and having hefty building defences so that we can always help defending the towns.

Is this possible? And how much would it cost and net us RUs?

Developing a chain gun would give our attack helicopters and IFVs some punch. We would still need some Air to ground rockets, but those should be simple to develop.

It is my firm conviction that geoddite batteries and technology is the way of the future. We just only superficially tapped into this brand new power-source and it already performs at the same rate as traditional ones. I'm sure if we keep developing it, we will have much more efficient batteries with greater output. Remember, right now, we can make batteries that recharge themselves. Imagine what we could do in the future!

We should forgo any more expansion of biofuel facilities, stop making equipment that runs on it and gradually convert our existing equipment to geoddite engines.

I'd like to put do two types of research,
the first is power armor interface upgrades, right now it's a reactive interface, the person moves and the suit does its best to follow the movement we should try to make it more active as if the suit were an extension of the users body this should improve speed, reaction time and stability.

the second is energy, theoretically the AB batteries will work on any scale, so we should try to shrink them down and instead use multiple batteries in sequence with B type Geddonite acting as an independant amplifier we should be able to provide far more power that way.

Crownbreakers make up for their lack of fire rate with a very high caliber round, a gatling gun, by its very nature, has to have a lower caliber round. You have Computer Software dedicated to picking out enemies and firing systems designed to help hit a target from several miles off.

What you're talking about is trading in a weapon which has 3-12 barrels, rotates, cannot be used in the field without a fuckton of specialised equipment, and is really only useful mounted on vehicles.

You would replace a line of single barreled weapons which come in several different calibers and sizes, which you have an entire line replacement parts and secondary upgrades (expanded magazines, targetting scopes) with an entirely new technology because it gives you a high firing rate and spinning barrels.

I mean Rule of Cool is half this quest, but you'd basically be exchaing Orange Death for Blue death here.

Also I would very much like to fix up that monorail system that connects our cites, I can easily see a bump in either recruitment, RU, or even relations with the other groups due to ease of transport.

Project WATCHER a specialized stealth aerial vehicle. Its first focus will be the identification of priority/high profile targets. Later with sufficient upgrades for its arsenal it can also eliminate said targets without be detected.

Project LEGION This research will be for the sorry situation when we have more suits then people to put them in. The research will be an modification that goes to power armor creating another soldier ready for battle. Naturally legionaries are piloted by AI.

Project SPECTRA Is the development of a specialized kill bot. 360 vision capable of climbing up buildings yet able to use stairs. Luckily many of the research for this should already be done. Rather were researching and developing a specialized platform for the job and not just a modified one we have been using.

Our Combat Rovers, Power Armor, and Vehicles all share several integral design elements. This is mostly so that any software or hardware updates to the designs can be shared among our product lines. Recently we began PROJECT ANIMA an attempts to imrpove our software by developing non-sapient AI that can aid in combat or non-combat operations.

So far the weapons we've been using have benefited from the use of Software that aids in targetting and ammunition amanagement. We recently decided to make more specialized versions of project LONGBOW's targeting program. So far we've managed to improve the guidance systems of our missiles but there's ropm for improvement.

As a note on new project proposals: typically, I save those and the codenames for something that we'll need to take a lot of steps toward, like RINGMAIL/LONGBOW. That shit was incremental. Non-incremental stuff is just 'let's produce x.'

A lot of these are more cool than required at this point.

Stealth vehicles are redundant given our vantage point.

Bombers and bombs tend to blow up a lot of the shit we want to salvage, are expensive and require airbases, and are typically vulnerable.

A 'specialized' killing machine type robot is less than a huge change from our existing systems. Reinforced rovers with BARDING and Crownbreakers are nine tenths of what we'll need anyway, and the situational awareness that the robot would afford our pilots is worse than what troops on the ground would have.

An AI is, at this point, a pretty big risk. Cool as it would be to have one, imagine not making it friendly enough on the first try and having it rebel...or having it become subverted.

The time to research AI is when we have achieved excellent cyber-security AND have a command and control bottleneck.

Drones are pretty cool, mind, but we don't really need a dedicated, multi-step project to run there.

This is on the right track, but fails to exploit our stated advantages. I'd change the goals slightly as follows:

All vehicles for the first stages must have VTOL/STOL capacity in order to deal with the lack of airbases and the overall need to land in ruin-covered urban sprawl. This effectively limits us to the following:

Yes pretty much, now you can develop the systems required to support a fleet of 200ish air drones that are controlled via remote. If you're unsure of whether or not you can do something ask, provide some articles or whatever, now your Teuton suits use Brainwave readers in the helmetr along with nervous system sensors and Mocap tech. Inroads are made towards developing a super heavy version of the Teutonic armor. One of the details on the design schematic is a gatling gun as the main armament. this is switched out for a chain gun, then a rapid fire grenade launcher, then a flame thrower, then an upscaled crownbreaker, then a gauss weapon, then a gun that shoots teddy bears.

In the end management is forced to step in and start making demotions to make sure anything resembling progress is made on you Project.

-If we can build the air cover drones fast enough to provide cover , we should refurbish the monorail this turn.
-SANGREAL - needs a means to superoxygenate the blood of the wounded when necessary and/or to start up a bionanotech project with Darwin to provide repairative systems.
-Heavy PA/Mech development. Integration of Armored Core style tank tread legs that can be unfolded for normal walking. Integration of controls compatible with a PA-wearing user or someone with a brawler package.

We've been trying to nab some Majesty goons with Sonata weapons, some short-range jammers, and the remains of self-destructed Majesty armor planted at the scene to fake their deaths for a while now.

If we get enough yea votes, we may be able to nab some Majesty troopers and debrief them. After the production run this turn, we'll be ready to repel reprisals short of a fucking nuke.

If we gain good data, one more production run for heavy PA, osprey transports and gunships, and some air cav training should put us in reach of a strike on the local base.

Without pure chaos in the laboratories some work is finally accomplished. A succesfually upscaled version of the Teutonic MK3 is produced. The Head is phased out entirely, along with the control circlet, Shin Guards, and Bracers. Instead users of a Vulcan armor make use of a Giest Helmet and an interface suit. Efforts are put forward to develop a manufacturing base for Helicopters and Fixed Wing Aircraft. What appears to be a love affair gone wrong caused a great deal of miscommunication and very little of note was accomplished this month in the field of developing VTOLS or STOLS.

The manufacturing and development facilities for Tilt Rotor Aircraft and Jump Jets however, was built and resources were slated for the production and research of advanced aircraft.

As it is, I imagine EYEBUG lets human operators pull up a feed from one of them by searching for available cameras kind of like how google maps/street view works. An AI would make this more useful, but we can get something out of them.

Operation SONATA Switch-around. We set up a dummy lab out in Light City in where Majesty troops can access to it, but we'll plant hidden AA guns near the site and keep them deactivated until they spring the trap, when they do spring the trap in the lab, the AA guns come out of hiding and the radio Jammers come out and keep the Majesty locked in, then our boys come in armed with Sonic based weaponery and blast any Majesty armor guys. When the dust is settled, we collapse the building, leave a few broken down armors so the Majesty think their boys have been killed.

We drill our men for this for a while first, so as to get them used to working in a communications blackout,using hand signals, etc.

We wait until the next patrol and force a Majesty chopper to land, either through concerted overhead passes of drone formations enveloping it and cutting off escape or through flak fire. If these do not suffice, we begin engaging their helicopters with our expendable aerial drones with increasing aggressiveness until we manage to do enough damage to one to down it. We drive off any airborne escorts.

We use smoke screens, the kind that involve burning fuel with certain carbon-rich additives that screw up radar penetration, to cover the area around the chopper so Majesty sensors are effectively stymied by the smoke. We use cheap but effective short-range jammers (basically a bunch of jury-rigged things made out of parts you can buy at radioshack) to produce a limited communications blackout in the area as well, though our own forces should relay in comms with hand signals, etc.

We surround the area with tanks; these are to be outside the blackout zone but close enough to offer support if necessary. We then deploy a force of veterans in Teuton suits armed with nonlethal kit, sonata gear, and semi-auto crownbreaker weapons, working to capture the Majesty personnel on site.

We then plant previously recovered remains of Majesty self-destructed power armor in the area to confuse the teams that are likely to return here and assess the situation; it may be effective to convince the enemy that we were simply working to create blackout conditions and break their C3 functions.

The survivors are immediately removed to a prepared location where use of SONATA gear is continued to prevent them from triggering the self-destruct mechanisms on their power armor. Armored technicians and manipulator robots then work to safely disassemble and defuse the self-destruct systems, using concerted EMP blasts after overcoming Majesty power armor EMP-hardening if necessary.

The entire operation should be done with redundant cover and air support in case Majesty attacks and with the knowledge of our allies.

We were however able to enforce a communications blackout before the enemy was able to send a distress signal so we were able to capture roughly 4 people with the Sonata Equipment.

We were able to use SONATA to subdue 8 men but the remaining 4 or so unaffected soldiers took it upon themselves to execute their comrades when it became clear that we were attempting to capture them.

We were forced to kill all 4 remaining soldiers and the 4 captives we have are dead, they died an hour after being removed from their armor. Autopsies reveal that they have variety of cybernetic improvements, among them dispensor devices that release cyanide.

The Majesty Troopers have been extensively modified, in fact they barely qualify as human anymore. They have no more sexual characteristics, and they have a layer of antiballistic armor grafted to their skin. They have no more eyes, noses, ears, tongues or anything in the way of sensory equipment left. From the looks of things they depend totally on their armor for sensory input.

In fact their digestive systems have been totally supplanted by the armor, we were forced to hook them into life support equipment after we removed them from their armor. (The DBRL were surprised to learn that we captured majesty troopers period, much less alive. But they were eager to help.) Futher examination of their armor shows that a good portion of its equipment is dedicated to feeding these people and giving them sensory information. Autopsies of their brains show that a good portion of their grey matter has been modified or replaced with artificial nuerons.

The Darwinnians have put their best people on this and they can't give you an answer, they don't know if these troopers were modified humans, biological androids, or something stranger. Regardless its clear that all biological weaknesses have been removed from their troopers and that they are about as close to a machine as its possible for a human to get.

We lost 3 specially modified Rovers to majesty armor self detsruct systems but we were able to recover one Majesty "Pawn MK12." The armor is one part life support system, one part extremely complex communication suite. It does have some strength enhancement systems in the form of artificial muscles (Nano Carbon Fibers) that give them roughly the same strength as Teuton armor and they use Fission batteries for power generation. (this also supplies the self destruct with a radioactive element.)

Due to the nature of the Self Destruct disabling process we were unable to recover any usable data from the Pawn MK6's computers, period.

You can tell that the suit makes use of a highly advanced communications suite that was designed to relay a simply monstrous amount of data and that they were probably in Real Time communication with some outside faction at all times. Secondly you can tell that the suit had extremely advanced secondary systems, they are vaguely reminiscent of LONGBOW or PANACEA or RINGMAIL's computers (you don't know what processes they were running but it was something that required a lot of computing power)

Looking back on it your soldiers tell you that the squad they engaged was all Pawns, they used to encounter Bishops, Rooks, and Knights but lately all they've seen on the ground are Pawns.

We seeded the area with destroyed fragments of armor and pulled out entirely after capturing the Pawns. We don't know much about the order but from this it's pretty clear that The Order doesn't think much of human life.

Well thanks guys, I may have flubbed the Geddonite recharge dealy (I think I'll just retcon that the batteries can absorb sunlight and stuff in the field, easier make rechargeable batteries with a mix of A-B then to use say...lithium.) But I like to think I'm pretty decent at world building.

As for your people? Everyone's pretty disturbed but there's a resolve to fight the Majesty to a Stand Still. The DBRL have set up what appears to be a funereal for people kid napped by majesty forces and Bishop Harlan has requested additional texts from you so that he can fully understand the implications of this revelation.

-1 RU to Majesty reverse-engineering lab. We learn everything we can from the fuckers. Bring in Darwin, there's not a thing there we can't learn from.
-1 RU to aeronautics. V-22gunships and transports and a Harrier wing, all running on Geddonite, will be the next step.
