Einstein's Twisted Theorem! TG QUEST?!

When last we left Task Force 38, they had finally met an advance fleet of the Great Crusade in orbit over the ravaged world of Chaosbringer. With the deity himself defeated and his remaining forces in disarray, not much left remains to do. The Crusade officer you are speaking with has asked for an explanation for the spectral horde you've admitted to setting loose to ravage the land, while contact with Mihoshi has been lost in Washu's lab.

On the planet's surface, Washu and Tsunami are still duking it out, and the legions of the dead you've summoned are mopping up the remainder of the planet's armed resistance.

Early start today because I hope for early end and the sweet oblivion of sleep.

Holy shit this is early!

Anyway, contact Cheryl, ask her to contact the Ghost Army and if they can scale down their operations.

Also, how are the prisoners we rescued?

And I take it the Crusade is still spluttering at realizing we have a 3 billion-strong army of the damned.

No, the Crusade is awaiting your explanation.

The prisoners are fine. If you didn't have a hilarious number of wounded, Doc Lazarus would be seeing to them now.

Cheryl nods. "What exactly do you want me to tell them to do?"
>>
>>21568917
>>21569084
In addition, the Indefatigable and the Rodger Young should have logs for when the interplexing beacon we gave Mihoshi crossed the subspace barrier into Washu's Lab.
Can the Rodger Young beam a team into Washu's Lab? Or will we need to take the traditional route of using the door?

Also, I was originally thinking of having Cheryl and Okku kill Aeris right now, but since Tsunami is still fighting Washu, she might need the help more.

We can always kill Aeris later (or let the Great Crusade stub their toes on her), but helping Tsunami and making sure that she comes out victorious is more important.
>>
You forgot the pissed off fleet of a million ships pointing their guns at us.

You can attempt to beam a team in still using the last coordinates you have. It'd be somewhat blind, though.

>Cheryl the Ghost Whisperer
"Cheryl, please tell the ghosts that Chaosbringer is dead, and that they have gotten their revenge. Ask them to pull back from civilian areas, and just keep the military bases under siege."

>Explaining to the Crusade about the ghosts
>don't use this yet, we need to come to consensus first
"We needed something to keep Chaosbringer's armies at bay while we took him out. The ghosts of this world let their desire to strike against Chaosbringer known to us. We came to an accord; they would attack his military, and we would strike at him when his defenses were otherwise occupied."

It seems your worries are in vain. Despite a vicious assault on the very fabric of reality by Washu that rends space-time around the ruins of the Palace, Tsunami counters with an enveloping wave of energy that covers Washu, causing her to let loose a startled wail that changes to a high pitched cry. A baby's cry.

When the energy recedes, Washu has been reduced to a tiny infant, bawling her eyes out and wriggling in the pile of clothes now too big for her to wear. Tsunami moves forward and bends down, scooping up the infant in her arms.

"I am sorry you had to experience this again, sister..." she murmurs. "But it is for the best."

She turns towards your camera keeping track of the battle. "It is finished. I am going to rest for a while now. I thank you for your aid."

With that, the goddess vanishes.
>>
Rolled 53

>>21569239
Cheryl nods and closes her eyes, sending an invisible message out to the ghosts.
>>
>>21569270
The vast majority of the ghosts do as asked, pulling back from civilian centers, though large groups still mob the ghost hunters still in the fight.
>>
>>21569186
We still need to confirm the rescue team to go into the lab.

Spike, Star-Lord, and Darius are my choices.
They get in, set up the network taps, and once the Hacking Team takes control of the Lab's defenses, they look for Mihoshi, Tenchi, and Ayeka.

Tosh, Finalon, and Skull Man would be my choice for finding Yami and Anzu, and setting up a pattern enhancer to get them to safety.

Cheryl, Okku, Vitun, and Aeshma for taking out Aeris once we're ready for that.
>>
>>21569293
Those ghost hunters are enemy combatants, so I'm not going to shed any tears for them.

Also, consensus on the explanation to the Crusade about our use of ghosts?
Are we going with this >>21569239
Or are we going with the "As for the spectres, they already existed on this world before we got here. They were already in agony for the years that Chaosbringer had them wandering this world. We didn't kill them in order to raise them as an undead army."
>>
>>21569299

I think we also have those two summoned Solars still kicking about. We might want to have one or both of them accompany whichever group is likely to run into the heaviest resistance. I'd send one with the Lab rescue group and another one on standby to teleport to whichever group needs the backup the most.

As for explaining the stuff to the Crusade... here are some talking points we could use:

1.) Chaosbringer and his minions are strong. If we didn't have those billions of spectres keeping the conventional forces at bay, our ground (and possibly) space forces would have been overwhelmed or suborned by hackers/compulsion.

1a.) See footage of fight with Chaosbringer. Our heaviest hitters took heavy losses taking out his mortal form.

2.) Wading through that many conventional forces would have obstructed our rescue attempt on the prison. Spectres running intel and also killing conventionals = much less guards present at the prison and we were much more capable of dealing with defenses. Even then, still took heavy losses getting important prisoners evacuated.

Main point: If we didn't have those spectres, we'd likely be getting killed by your thousand-billion ships while screaming praises to the glory of Chaosbringer.
>>
>>21569487
>>21569391
Confirmation?
>>
>>21569259
With Washu out of the fight, her Lab should be running mostly on automated defenses. My only two concernes are Ryoko and Washu's aide.

Get Data to replicate another set of modified network taps.

Pulling the ghosts back should have bought Yami more time.
>>
>>21569884
Lying isn't going to work since the Crusade seems to have a magical means of determining the truth.

Tell them that the ghosts were organized as no other option had such a high probability of success.
>>
>>21569978

Seconding. Tell the truth, and say that we probably would have been killed or suborned if the spectres weren't used.
>>
While that's going on, rescue teams.

Tenchi's life support was reprogrammed by the Hacker team to repair him, so one way or another, he's getting free. I think we can afford to be careful with the Lab rescue.

Rescuing Yami and Anzu should be done quickly, though. They're currently in an underground bunker and we don't know their status.

Tosh (because he can talk to ghosts if any are there and tell them we're allies).
Finalon ( excellent tracking and stealth ).
Mustadio ( engineer might be needed to help get past damaged sections ).
1 EMH, 1 EEH, 2 ESH ( doctor is always useful, engineer to set up the pattern enhancers, 2 security holograms as scouts and bait).

The Crusade officer considers this.

"I see. Given those circumstances, I will withhold judgment until more facts roll in, then," he states. "If you have a mission log or something of the sort concerning this world I would like to see it in order to expedite things."
>>
>>21570329

I'm alright with sending this guy: Scans of the world, Estimation of their defenses, Known enemies before the mission started, A list of enemies that appeared during the mission, A list of characters who were known to be corrupted/blackmailed into fighting us, as well as logs of the fights with major enemies.

Should we send a list of casualties incurred as well?
>>
>>21570329
"We will see if we can arrange for one; our computers were nearly compromised once and our computer specialists just experienced dump shock when they were ejected from a security network.
"But more importantly, we need to get started on our two rescue missions. We will keep this channel open, but if you will excuse us."

We probably have mission logs, but we may want to edit out classified information. And we didn't lie or omit the truth; Su got as far as showing up on our screens and the Hacker Team got ejected from Wasgu's network.

Now, are Tosh, Finalon, Mustadio, and Skull Man prepared to be beamed down to the location of Yami, with the 4 holograms and a set of Pattern Enhancers?

How is Data doing replicating those new network taps?
>>
>>21570480
Hell. Send him the whole fap fiction Chaos bringer is from.
>>
>>21570427
>>21570480
I approve of these; with the aforementioned caveat of censoring classified stuff. Make it obvious (read: tell them flat out) that said censoring is taking place for operational security on our end. Professional standards and such. Cooperation is a good idea right now.

As far as the casualties list... Maybe? They might react badly to so many named characters in our ranks. But if you guys think it'd help us, then I'll go with it.

>>21570590
Not sure if should. May cause them to shoot us. No one should be forced into that shit.
>>
>>21570329
Mission logs specifically for this world. Planetary defenses, conventional military, the fight against Chaosbringer.
I assume it'll include things like how we needed to put together a decoy fleet, and that we needed the ghosts to scout the defenses.
>>
>>21570620
Agreed with the obvious censoring. We're both professionals here, and standards need to be maintained.

I don't think the casualty list is that relevant, though. The Crusade will likely be looking to see what kinds of actions we took.
>>
>>21570620
Actually, funny enough, most of our "named" characters aren't "important." Our guys are mostly home-grown heroes. Or, home built in regards to the D&D guys.

Oh, and a bunch of us are in irc @Rizon #tgquest if anyone wants to join.
>>
>>21570480
They are.

Data is working on replacing the taps... again.

ANON begins compiling a censored mission report to send over with the requested information. It only takes a few minutes before it's ready. What specifically are you deeming 'classified'?
>>
What if they ask us about the terrible fanfic Chaosbringer 'originated from'?
On our world, works of fiction are valid sources of information on parallel worlds?
Even if it's true, it sounds insane.
>>
>>21570897
Mostly, our list of looted personal and bodies, exact lists of our troops (Ok to give a general idea, as well as video), security codes, knowledge of the demiplane, spells cast, info on how we got the Chaosbringer fiction.

I'm totally OK with giving it to them. If they ask where we got it, we'll just say "our computer's knowledge base had it for some reason."
>>
>>21570958
Are we sending them footage of MechaGodzilla Caramelldansen?
>>
>>21570991
And http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJEvppm1rNc just because we can.
>>
>>21570897
The obvious stuff first, of course.
Comm frequencies, encryption keys, security codes, and shield harmonics.
Also censor names, and refer to them with codenames.

Also, have the mission reports list Corrupted characters as neutralized, that's all.

I also think we should leave Shin-Ra out of this. The last thing they need is a Great Crusade fleet peeking over their shoulder as they go about their operations.

Don't mention the EVA units we beamed up. Just that MG was sent to Tokyo as a diversion and potential honeypot for Kaolla Su.
>>
>>21571026
Instead of MechaGodzilla rampaging through tokyo, we send them that episode of Mini-Goddesses.
>>
>>21570958
Good catch on the spells, and I agree with neglecting to mention the bodies and such we've beamed up, and the source of our intel.

Maybe if they ask for where we got the intel, an they ask very forcefully, we warn them that they asked for it, and send the fapfic to them.
>>
We should be careful with what we don't say.
Considering how easy it is to get magical scrying specialists, the Crusade might just scry on the remains of Chaosbringer's lieutenants.
>>
>>21571040
>>21571115
Guys, if they say they want to send one of their officers with us as an advisor and perhaps contact, we request Guy and his Squad.

Then we lock Guy and Ryu in a room together and make them sort out their rivalry like reasonable gentlemen.

And if that doesn't work, use his Spirits Say skill to find the spirits of the place and find Yami.

Shes owes us our toys and I kinda want to see what happens when we stuff her and Mouse in a room.

Eh, I figure we'll call them if we need them, or they'll call us if they get into trouble.

Have we had any luck with getting ahold of Mihoshi? And do we have enough SUE Cure to begin experimentation?
>>
>>21571518
Me at least? I'll be explaining to the Crusade why the ships that have been attacking them are not affiliated with us.
>>
>>21571518
We're giving the search team about an hour, and they're to use Tosh and the sensors from an Al'Kesh to find Yami.

As for the Lab Team, get Spike, Star-Lord, Darius if he'll fit through the door, and an EEH ready with pattern enhancer, interplexing beacons, and those network taps.

I don't want to try beaming in blind. Have them beam to outside the subspace door, having the Rodger Young make sure the area is clear first.

They beam in, go inside, activate the network taps, and wait for the Hacking Team to suborn the security.
>>
>>21571577
>>21571518
And while they do that, have the Farseers try to find Paine again.

Also, if Ryoko is inside the Lab, then we will need Wonder Woman to help fight her, since she's one of the few people that can take that level of punishment.
>>
>>21571518
I say give it an hour. More if they start finding reliable leads.

Meanwhile we get the whole ghost army thing under control, heal up/evac who we need to heal up/evac, secure perimeters for whoever needs to stay where they are, and just generally get ourselves ready to get the fuck out if we need to in a hurry.

>>21571625
Yes. We should probably add Wonder Woman to wherever any Ryokos are gonna be. Give her a fast summary of what we know of Ryoko and warn her that she may have new abilities due to Chaosbringer's corruptive influence.
>>
>>21571649
Should we attempt to revive Seifer, Fuu and Rai and add them to the squad?
>>
>>21571649
The primary thing we need to do is get control of the Lab's network. Ryoko's powers can be turned on and off by Washu, so if we get access to that subsystem, we can depower Ryoko.

>>21571659
We only have Seifer and Fuu's bodies. Raiden's body is still in their home Canon and we can't revive him while we're here.
>>
>>21571659
Seifer possibly. Fuu is still tainted.
>>
>>21571674
We have Vitun roaming about, and a large compliment of diamonds. And I'm pretty sure we can ambiguously discribe him by time and type of death.
>>
>>21571804
No. True Resurrection requires that we be in the same Canon as the person to be revived. We already went over this when we first tried to revive Gaunt.
>>
>>21571649

Don't forget that Ryoko, being mutated and corrupted, may have the same sort of retroviral corruptive power that Chaosbringer's other entourage had. We do not want to send down Wonder Woman only to see her turn into one of them due to an unlucky bite.
>>
>>21571831
We can give her a nanite immuno-booster.
We can also have the EMH of the Indefatigable work to isolate the retrovirus and attempt to create a refined nanite specifically to target Chaosbringer's retrovirus.
>>
>>21571852
It's magic as well. We'd need someone who can cure, and we're running low on those
>>
>>21571852

If we get any more research time, perhaps we can see if we can combine Borg nanites to try to overwhelm viral cells and reprogram them to become normal. Although we're on a strict timetable here, and our research list is always full.
>>
>>21571555
Experimentation? Sure.

>>21571577
When you deploy them to the door, you find it's no longer there.

>>21571649
You recall your troops, given that there's nowhere you need to be. After an hour, everyone is safely recovered.

The Crusade Officer reminds you of his request for the remains of the slain Chaos lieutenants and any living ones you might have.
>>
>>21571865
That's true. The magical component of the retrovirus is the dangerous part.

Maybe a Staff of Negation could be used to purge the magical effect?
>>
>>21571884

Ask him what a grown man wants to do with a sailor uniform.
>>
>>21571884
Continue to attempt to find and get ahold of Mihoshi.

Inquire why the Crusade Officer wants the remains.
>>
>>21571884
>door no longer there.
Dammit.
Okay, have the Rodger Young attempt to beam the holograms into the lab. Make sure that their Mobile Emitters are equipped with interplexing beacons. If they successfully arrive, they are to install the network taps so that the Hacking Team can get started.

As for the Rescue Team for Yami and Anzu, have the Farseers assist them in attempting to find the two. Tosh, use your psionics, and Mustadio, use Tosh's exographic scanner to look underneath the surface for the two; they were supposed to be in an underground bunker.
>>
>>21571884

We can provide those.

Or perhaps we can invite the officer onboard our vessel to view the procedure.

We were about to test our anti-virus, after all.

>>21571993
As for the SUE Cure tests, get out Fujin's body and begin introducing the SUE cure to it under controlled conditions. Make sure everyone working is wearing standard hazmat suits and has the immune booster nanoprobes injected. We should probably revive Seifer as well and let him watch over this while we do it.

We still need to get into that lab.
Have the All Under Heaven replicate some more holograms. We'll send them in, one at a time, with an interplexing beacon.
Once one them succeeds in getting through, we'll use the beacon to get pattern enhancers and network taps in there.

As for Yami, have the Farseers attempt to scry his location again.
>>
>>21572069
He declines the offer to board your ship, but would appreciate the tests being televised or allowing an observer from his staff aboard. He still wants the bodies, though.

>>
>>21571884

I'm thinking we create some kind of SUE cure Bacta tank and drop the remains in there, heavily bound. Rez them with Vitun. Hope they come back normal, or at least screaming in pain as the cure burns away the corruption.

>>
>>21572152
We're not going to revive them today, because we can't use up Vitun's spells until we're sure that the planet has been pacified.

We need to concentrate on finding and rescuing Yami, Anzu and Paine, and getting into Washu's Lab, and killing Aeris.

Recently arrived to thread so don't know if resolved or not:

Is it possible that we and the Crusade could work together to restore the canon protagonists from the dead?

I do not have an adequate explanation for the horde of the dead so I'm going to STFU and let someone else handle it.
>>
>>21572232
Heh, I think we have the same job then. We've got a few ideas, and require the bodies to implement them and see if they produce results. Seeing as we're after the same thing and all.
>>
>>21568917
What mutated/brainwashed Canon characters are left?
We should try to capture the corpses of as many of them as we possibly can, so that we can restore them to their place in their canons. I dunno what we're gonna do about Teedus though.
We'll need to purify Sailor Moon's plot crystal. How this is to be done, I do not know.
Has Queen Serenity been screwed over by chaosbringer? I know Usagi and Chibiusa were pretty damn wrecked. Thinking of who might be around to use a purified plot crystal.
We could also try to get Cheryl to transform into Princess Heart, and see if that works.
>>
>>21572409

>>
>>21572429

>>
>>21572304

We've already explained to the Crusade that we recruited a (totally awesome) 3-billion spectre army because we would have failed without them. They appeared satisfied with this explanation so far, but will undoubtedly take this into account when they decide fully what they should do with us.

Actually, scratch attempting to beam holograms into Washu's Lab.
Try to beam in just the interplexing beacons. If one gets through and starts transmitting, the Rodger Young can lock on to it, and beam in the holograms and network taps.
There's less loss this way.
>>
>>21572262
"We are offering to attempt to restore them, alongside anyone else that deserves it and we can manage, to as close to normal as we can manage. Memory may or may not enter into this depending on the level of psychological damage incurred."
>>
>>21572730
"Alright, well, we believe we have a very promising new treatment to remove any corruption caused by Chaosbringer, and we do have the memory manipulation techniques needed for proper psychological treatment.
"So how about this: We'll send you all of the data we have on the retrovirus and some tissue samples. We'll begin preparations for treatment while you go over the retrovirus. Then we'll see if our treatment works better, or yours. Does that sound acceptable?"
>>
>>21572730

I'd say it's worth a shot to see what they can do. We can always give them some of our SUE-cure to see if that will help out, or see if they'd be happy with accepting a few of the corrupted characters while we keep a few of our own to try to cure. If their treatment is more effective than ours, we can hand over the rest of the SUE victims to them.
>>
>>21572795

I'd be OK with this, although perhaps we should decide which of the SUE victims we should hand over to them if they insist upon it.

Repairing her Canon would involve trying to find Su, Haruka Urashima, Sarah McDougal, repairing their minds, reviving Keitaro and Naru, us handing Kanako and Motoko over, and repairing the Inn after it burned down.

Or Lulu, since her Canon requires global memory editing and repairing an entire city-state.
>>
>>21572987
Let's keep Lulu and Rikku. It'll help Yuna if she has her friends. We should keep Fujin and Ayane for sure too.
>>
>>21573047
>keep Lulu and Rikku
>help Yuna if she has her friends
You...really don't know what they did to her, do you.
I really don't think this will go the way you think it will. Because, you know, they committed war crimes and essentially wiped out most of Humanity in that world.
>>
>>21573092
Eh, mind control and shit. Besides, they're both useful as fuck.
>>
>>21573092

Enlighten us, anon.
>>
>>21573145
Lulu and Rikku took part in raping Yuna, they also helped with an aerial bombardment of Bevelle, the genocide of the Guado, the extermination of Al Bhed men and the taking of most Al Bhed women to become comfort women and become brainwashed members of Chaosbringer's regime, and riling up the Hypello and Ronso to invade and wipe out all remaining humans on Spira.
>>
>>21573212
We might forgive these transgressions because we understand that they were under SUE influence. Their victims are unlikely to be so forgiving and understanding.
>>
>>21573224
Which is more reason to keep them as part of the task force.
>>
>>21573269
Keeping them as part of the Task Force and under our jurisdiction is different from pushing them together with Yuna who does not want to see them.
>>
>>21573297
Eh, we don't know that Yuna doesn't want to see them. You're assuming that she doesn't. If the situation is explained, she may be more willing to forgive them, especially since they were not in their right minds.

Besides wasn't that all what X-2 was about, forgiveness and letting go of anger and hate in favor of love?
>>
>>21573366
Until there's actual evidence to the contrary, I'm going to go with the emotions she was feeling in the fapfic.
Unless you're willing to dive in and come up with evidence that I'm wrong.
>>
>>21573433
Yes, because the fapfic says it, it must be 100% true. All hail the fapfic. Yuna's a smart girl, she knows better then to turn into Shuyin.
>>
>>21573366
It's... a bit different.
Really it's probably best to let the Crusade handle this one, because if the infected people remember anything, it'll take an effort to make them not kill themselves.
Maybe they have better magic in that area?
>>
>>21573470
do you know know what our job is?

Our job is to kill SUES which cause reality distortions. The type of reality distortions that make retarded fapfictions ONE HUNDRED PERCENT TRUE!
>>
That reminds me, have Vitun cast this on Yuna.
Heart’s Ease
Enchantment (Compulsion) [Mind-Affecting]
Level: Beloved of Valarian 3, cleric 3, Pleasure 3
Components: V, S, DF
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Targets: One creature/level
Duration: Permanent
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: Yes (harmless)
Heart’s ease cures emotional wounds in the same way that heal wipes away physical ones. The subjects are cured of any fear effect, despair effect (such as the crushing despair spell), or similar mindaffecting condition, excluding charms and compulsions (such as charm person, dominate person, and similar spells). It removes any lingering psychological effects of torture (including the increased effectiveness of torture devices, as described in the Book of Vile Darkness). It cures confusion and insanity, restores 2d4 points of Wisdom damage (but not permanent Wisdom drain), and leaves the targets feeling refreshed and at peace.

If it works, we'll need to find a way to cast it a lot.
>>
>>21573366
Eitherway its worth mentioning that to her that Everything that happened to her, from her friends, was not hers, or their fault.

Chaosbringer warped the minds of billions, if not Trillions of people, purely for Himself. That she held on, even until now, shows she's one of the strongest we've met. We need her, to help her friends. "When we pull them out of this taint, we can make them forget, forget all they've done, but they'll need you Yuna."
>>
>>21573514
Except not, if that was true, none of the shit we did would have worked and he would have laughed and disabled our reality emitters because he's perfect and everything he does is ONE HUNDRED PERCENT TRUE!
>>
>>21573470
And as far as the characters are concerned, so long as the effect remains (which it still is, even after Chaosbringer's death), it is 100% true.
We're not going to ignore one of the best pieces of intel and insight into the minds of the affected just because you want to believe that a protagonist can just shrug off life-scarring mental and emotional trauma.
>>
>>21572730
It's been an hour, you okay MetaOP? Did you pass out?
>>
>>21573560
Actually Chaosbringer kind of sucked.
He got severely wounded by a Holy spell cast by a relative nobody.
>>
>>21573590
AND he said himself, he could only be defeated by a god, and we brought 4 to the fight (5 if we include Desna by proxy).
>>
>>21573571
Except protagonists do that ALL THE TIME. Fuck, Final Fantasy protagonists more so then not.

Hell, Yuna is good at that even within her game. She found out everything she believed and learned was a lie, that her father turned his best friend and someone she considered an uncle into the thing killing people all over Spira, and eventually that the man she loved didn't really exist. She still managed to shoulder that.

She's a tough, smart girl. And I'm willing to believe the game she's from over a goddamn fapfic. Especially one that makes shit up and ignores character traits and shit to achieve what they want.
>>
>>21573660
REALITY DISTORTION!

What you know about protagonists? Throw it in the trash. It means nothing now.

SUES can change that "tough, smart girl" into a crying mess who wears diapers and shits herself. And I bet there probably is a fanfiction for that somewhere.
>>
>>21573698
REALITY DISTORTION!

Then that means these characters are worthless to us for recruitment anyways. Because the SUE effects change that constantly, 100% of the time, even when they're dead. So Yuna's a weak as fuck sniveling crying bitch who can't do anything but get raped and all the corrupted characters are forever crazy furry rape monsters.
>>
>>21573720
Except curing that restores the reailty of the individual which means they either fade out, are meta shifted back to their own canon, or.
Returned to their canon state, but still present in the current meta. The Ideal Recruit, as no waves are made.

For Example. We may be able to keep Yuna, but for Wonder Woman this is her home canon, removing her from it causes another distortion.

At least by my reasoning, ANON, would this be correct?
>>
>>21573720

No, it means that these characters have deep-seated problems that won't be fixed by just willpower alone. Our reality emitters can cancel out the powers of a SUE.

After a SUE dies, it's power weakens. After enough time, things may even snap back to normal.

In game? Chaosbringer died a few HOURS ago. There has been very little time for any of his influence to wear off, let alone reverse itself.

Now, Yuna here finds her friends to be monsters due to the things they've done and she's seen them do. She has serious mental issues.

We can fix those issues by having Elaine heal her sanity.

Her hatred of the monsters who brought her to the Chaosbringer and had her made into an immortal rape-doll? Not going to go away quite so easily.
>>
>>21573762
We have Ryu and Cossack, they didn't get meta-shifted back to their own reality when 8-Bit Dystopia fell apart.
>>
>>21573797
That's because we shifted them out before the meta wave caught up to them. They would have either been erased or rewritten if we hadn't taken them with us.
>>
>>21573793
Nope, you don't get both. Either they're 100% forever permanent, or they're not. Currently you're arguing both when it suits you.

When we killed the other SUEs, the effects snapped back pretty damn fast. Hell, we captured the AMG SUEs and those effects snapped back relatively quickly. Especially when encouraged through prodding by us.

There's no reason not to believe that Yuna's original personality won't reestablish itself fairly quickly. Not everything requires Elaine to fix it before it works, it'll smooth it along, sure.

Like I said, she's a strong girl, she'll be fine.
>>
>>21571884
Inform the crusade that we're trying to bring the slain back to life, and cure the living of Chaosbringer's influence. Undo the damage that Chaosbringer did to this universe.
Tell the crusade that Chaosbringer's ability to warp the minds and bodies of people means that these lieutenants shouldn't be held accountable or judged guilty of crimes they did when under Chaosbringer's compulsion.
Tell him that we want to make sure the dead are revived and the living are treated fairly.
Also tell him that we have our own possible ways of removing Chaosbringer's corrupting influence, and that we want to try curing Chaosbringer's SUE-corrupted lieutenants of their corruption, so they may stand trial as their real selves, and not as Chaosbringer's slaves.

Also ask the rest of the command crew if they agree with this or if they want to object.
>>
>>21573574
I'm waiting for you guys to figure out who you're sending over to the Crusade or what in general you're doing.

>>21573925
"We are aware of the mental alteration. Be advised, however, some of them joined willingly before being affected by the compulsion. The few that did so may expect no help from us. The rest, we will see. We are the Crusade. Our blades are for the wicked, our guns meant for monsters. The faultless and innocent have nothing to fear from us."
>>
>>21574068
You really should have told us you were waiting then.

Because, this was what we were saying, and waiting for a response: >>21572795
And we were going to send over Mitsune Konno.
>>
>>21573762
ANON: "Destroying a SUE's influence usually causes changes to a character to fade out to varying speeds depending on factors we don't fully understand. No teleportation or transport occurs, normally."
>>
Who's still left on the planet that we need to deal with?

Did we kill Chaosbringer's daughter?

Did we manage to loot that Corrupted Bullshit Crystal?

I figure that finishing up the planet and unfucking the crystal is a pretty good bet of what to do next.

Crusade seems to have the exact same goals as we do. I'd say we co-operate with them as much as possible with the SUE Curing. Let them see our SUE Cure files, and try to work together to get things set up.

Remember that their reality emitter was more advanced than ours - maybe their SUE Cures are more advanced than ours too?

For those arguing about Reality distortions, try to do things around Reality emitters.

When White Mage B squad was killed, can we True Res them? Or are they gone forever? If they're gone forever then that makes me sad.

What, in this bullshitfiction, happened to that Silver Millennium Crystal? How realistic are our chances of unfucking it now that the Avatar's gone?

>>21574068
Imo we're continuing the plans described in >>21569299
Also, judged on the Crusade's reply? Send over whoever was warped by Chaosbringer. Whoever joined willingly? We dunk 'em in the Cure tanks.
>>
>>21573925
We are the command crew. And as a member I agree that we shouldn't judge those affected by Chaosbringer for what they did unless it was of their own volition. A SUE is a monstrous thing, warping reality itself. Hopefully his influence will soon be wiped away...actually...I just had a thought. What if Chaosbringer had some sort of failsafe in place, just in case this sort of thing happened? I mean, is it possible he's pulled an Emperor Palpatine and has a resurection planned on some bastion world? I mean, I highly doubt that SUEs can be cloned but...man, who knows.
>>
>>21574089
Sorry, you guys seemed to be debating fairly vigorously.

That's it? Just Mitsune?
>>
>>21574104
We might as well send just about all of them over. They're better equipped to fix this shit.

We should see if we can do some trading of technology before we take off though.
>>
>>21574104
Wait, why are we sending Mitsune over? Can't we just send samples via transporter?
>>
>>21574068
"Can you identify the ones that joined willingly? Our intelligence reports seem to differ on that account."

>>21574104
We were debating vigorously between several of us and 1 anon, about whether Yuna is ready to see her friends or not.

And yes, we're sending only Mitsune over because we haven't seen any evidence to show that their SUE-Cure is better than ours.
>>
>>21574068

Send over Mitsune and retrovirus/tissue samples. Say that we also have some treatment options that we think are promising. We want to see whose treatment works better on the SUE victims.

Also, we want to see if those who joined him "willingly" were affected by something before they did so. If it is highly out of character for those people to have joined Chaosbringer, they may have been ensnared beforehand.
>>
>>21574104
We're only sending Mitsune Konno over if the Crusade refuses the offer of tissue samples.
>>
>>21574068
Those that joined willingly usually end up having been effected by the natural reality altering effects of the SUE. Unless you mean people like Queen Tranquility. In which case, yeah, fuck that bitch over. Damn, Non-Canon, Stupid, Bitch.

Excuse me, officers, but that Luck Stabiliser magic-machine you requested is ready for its prototype run.
If we've built this thing correctly, it SHOULD be able to suck up bad fortune by making the gambling dice in this tube roll poorly, rather than having the bad fortune bring pain and death onto us.
Time for a trial run!
>>
>>21574118
I don't know. They're already wary of the TG. And wasn't there something about past TG operatives stealing Crusader meta-drive technology?

Damn. Back to the drawing board then. Seems the Luck stabiliser is working backwards.
>>
>>21574118
I'm only for sending the tissue samples for now. We can send over actual bodies if they continue insisting.
>>
>>21574160
STOP THAT YOU'RE ROLLING OUT THE HUNDREDS.
>>
>>21574141
Your machine failed horribly.

Guys. We aren't really in a position to bargain. They can kill us without breaking a sweat. Our best bet is to turn over the stuff they want, offer to trade some shit, and get the hell out of here.

Possibly keep Yuna, though that's a stretch.
>>
>>21574170
That sounds good to me. How about we send them samples from each of the bodies we have, so they have a number of variables to consider.
>>
>>21574174
We're not done here yet.

Besides needing to attempt a number of True Resurrections, we still need to breach Washu's Lab and save Yami. We can let the Crusade handle Chaosbringer's daughter, sure, but we still have things that need to be done here.
>>
>>21574104
>Sorry, you guys seemed to be debating fairly vigorously.
We were debating vigorously over nothing because you hadn't responded.
>>
>>21574191
Like hell we're letting them take her down. Why haven't we let Cheryl and company take her out already? I seem to recall her, Okku, Aeshma, and...Vitun?
>>
>>21574104
Anyways, I think everything we wanted to attempt was to constantly beam transporter beacons into Washu's lab and keep trying to contact Agent Mihoshi.

Send them samples, and inform them we're using the bodies to attempt to remove the corruption and cure the people. Not sure if we're allowing an observer or not.

Continuing the search for Yugi and Anzu.

We also need to deal with Chaosbringer's daughter and Bliss. As well as Tranquility inside the crystal.

I want to see how Yuna is doing, and explain to her what happened and how Lulu and Rikku were severely mind controlled and how she wants to proceed with handling that when she's up to it.

And then, test the SUE cure on Fujin. I liked the SUE Cure Bacta Tank idea personally. I also think we should revive her and Seifer, but some of the others don't want to use the 9th Level Spell Slots.

We also need to try getting Gondegal back and seeing if Desna can help speed along the Avatar's recovery. Which would also require 9th level spell slots.
>>
>>21574210
Should probably get that shit rolling on our own.
What's Agrias doing in all this?
>>
>>21573517
Any objections to attempting this spell?
I'd like to see just how powerful this magic is.
And since it's such a low level, Vitun should have the spell slot free.
>>
>>21574174
I don't think they'll let us go anyways until they're done judging if we're evil or not. So we might as well let them know we're working to the same cure and we need some of the bodies.
>>
Are you waiting on us again, OP, or are you writing?
>>
Rolled 29

>>21574261
I think he's waiting for us. At this point in time I'd flip a coin and go with it.
>>
>>21574228
I forgot that there was a hostile entity inside the crystal. Damn, that's going to be tougher than I thought. Also, who is Bliss?

For actions, I vote for: continuing the search for General Yami; allowing a non-military Crusade observer onboard, properly checked and devoid of recording, transmitting, or weaponizable equipment; checking up on Yuna; starting research on the SUE Cure Bacta Tank; inquiring Desna if she can assist the Avatar in his recovery.
>>
>>21574280
Also continue Lab operations.

There were still some things groundside to deal with - Someone mentioned Aeris, and also Chaosbringer's Daughter who might have survived orbital bombardment somehow.

Heck, might as well wait for MetaOp to give a recap.
>>
>>21574279
Why? We have a set of talking points and objectives already laid out:

>Crusade
Offer them tissue samples, that we have a new and promising treatment, and that we want to see which will work better, theirs or ours. If they keep insisting that they want a body, give them Mitsune.

>Washu's Lab
Beam interplexing and subspace beacons into the Lab until one gets through. Then latch onto it and beam in the network taps. Once the Hacker Team has the place on our side, send in some Heroes.

>Yami
Have the Farseers scan for him, and the Rescue Team to keep looking. Mustadio to use Tosh's exographic scanner to look underground and Tosh to use his powers to search for Yami. Finalon to track him and Anzu.

>Aeris, Chaosbringer's Daughter
Either let the Crusade deal with her, or prepare a strike team of Cheryl, Okku, Aeshma, Vitun, and maybe Agrias.
>>
>>21574291
I thought Aeris was his daughter's name? Is Aeris from FF7/Kingdom Hearts on this world? Because I avoided reading the fiction for this place.
>>
>>21574291
Aeris is the name of Chaosbringer's daughter. She's in a secure underground bunker beneath the Chaos Palace. When the Indefatigable tried to bore a hole through the defenses, a low roll resulted in Washu sending the phaser beam back at the Inde and causing major hull damage.
>>
>>21574324
Wasn't the Indefatigable destroyed by that?
>>
>>21574304
>>21574280
>>21574228
In addition, we need to know who the Crusade considers to be willing accomplices of Chaosbringer.

Because our list and theirs are unlikely to match.
>>
>>21574339
No, just damaged and retreated to the rest of the task force for repairs.
>>
>>21574346
I agree, that is quite important. Also, anyone who actually has read the fiction on Chaosbringer and remembers enough after the mind bleach application please point out inconsistencies.
>>
>>21574353
Ah, right, I see in the Inventory now that it was the Valiant. Damn it, our fleet took a lot of damage from this.
>>
>>21574368
Orz killed that one. Nearly took out the Storm too.
>>
I dont like the idea o just handing over bodies, and our prisoners, to the Crusade.

It wasnt an offer either. They told us to hand over, Everyone. They might be akin to Requisitions, just mindwhiping and controlling every place they roll over. This was our operation, and when two verse spanning organizations cross there is that jurisdiction issue. We need to politely let the Crusade know that this section of the meta/multiverse (maybe they call it that) is under Task force 38s jurisdiction. We would hope they would understand our hesitation in handing over people that've surrendered to, recovered, or been captured by Us.

I just got a bad feeling, we cant just Hand them these people.
>>
>>21574368
We're getting quite shitwrecked. We still have 2 Lynchpins, that Void Engy vs. New Chaos battlefield, and SHODAN if that's our problem rather than someone else's.

Personally? I'd say spill all_the_beans on black ops and SHODAN to the crusade and sic the crusade on 'em. We have no love for Black ops.

>>21574386
1 badly damaged fleet of perhaps 1000 ships vs. 1 fully intact fleet of 1 million
Hm. I'd say anything above "Unconditional Surrender" is above what we'd expect, to be honest.

>>21574386

>>21574405
I don't think we even have a hundred ships. Hold, on, I'll check.

>>21574527

>>
Anyone up for some games of poker while we wait for op?
>>
>>21574549
We still need to determine who we're sending into Washu's Lab, once a subspace beacon gets through.
I've got Spike, Star-Lord, Darius, and an EMH given what I know is in there. Probably also Wonder Woman, too.
But with the consideration that Ryoko might be in there, and she could re-infect Wonder Woman, we might need to send Elaine and Lyla as well. Or a White Mage with an Economizer.
>>
>>21574127
>>21574133
>>21574304
"Tissue samples and data on a possible cure would be extremely helpful, but..." the officer looks at you intently. "Are you prepared to rehabilitate and re institute them into life? Do you have the time and resources to do so? Can you keep them safe and secure while healing them? We have specialists on hand for that sort of thing. If you can show me that you are capable of taking care of them long term and have the means and facilities to do so, I'll leave them with you. But from what we know of your organization, I wonder if that's the right choice for them."

There is a pause.

"As for those who willing sided with Chaosbringer, the only names that spring to my mind are Tranquility and Mitsune "Kitsune" Konno, as you said. There might be others depending on the results of the investigation."

After an hour you still can't find Yami. Nothing seems to be able to pick him up. Your beam spam into Washu's Lab seems to be equally fruitless.

Your strike team is ready to bring down Aeris-spawn.

>Sorry for the long pauses, I got a little busy. Part of the reason I tried to start early, but responses should be back to normal speed in 10 minutes.
>>
>>21574589
That seems like a good plan. Although maybe have Lyla and Elaine check on Yuna before they go. We should see if we have any equipment Wonder Woman would be comfortable using.
>>
>>21574652
Long term? That is a problem. I don't think the TG currently has the resources for several worlds' worth of rehabilitation, memory alteration, and/or SUE Cure dispersal. Can someone confirm the situations with Tranquility and Mitsune?

Also, let's kill the little SUE-ling.

"Rehabilitation and restoration of pre-existing conditions IS our job. We can discuss at greater length once we've neutralized all reality distortions. Can we agree on that much?
"Tranquility, bah. She's hidden herself within the Millenium Crystal. We're currently trying to come up with a way to prosecute her and her accomplices, while not dragging out the previous Queens who resisted and voted against Tranquility. As for Konno, we would argue that as soon as Chaosbringer entered her world, that he began manipulating her mind simply by dint of his presence.
"But we could use your help on two operations.
"One is a rescue operation, to find and recover Anzu Mazaki and her companion. Here's her picture. We were able to contact them to attempt an emergency beam-out, but there was too much interference, and they're no longer at the evacuation site. If you can find them, we'd appreciate it.
"The other one is a sanction, plain and simple. Chaosbringer's daughter is still alive, and is in a secure bunker. We're going in to terminate her. Do you want to help?"
>>
>>21574652

He does have a point. Unless the Crusade is willing to lend their fuckhueg victory fleets to us, we're not going to have enough time to rehabilitate and/or cure everyone and every world barring some sort of creative applications of a Wish/Miracle spell casting spree (plus high rolls for each of them). We still have to deal with SHODAN and one or two other Lynchpin worlds, and pay a visit to the STALKER canon for the Noosphere research upgrades. We're going to be constantly going into danger, and the branch office in the Shadowrun canon might not be able to house all of these people (and not to mention that it's likely that Black Ops/SHODAN knows the location of it.

But I'd say that it's still worth it to see if we can come up with an effective SUE-cure cocktail. That's something that will benefit us and any future TG operations, and it may be something the Crusade needs.
>>
>>21574652
Continue spamming subspace and interplexing beacons into Washu's Lab. One of them must get through.

Have the Farseers continue their efforts to scry on Yami. As soon as the Aurors and Abjurers are available, have them attempt it as well.

Confirmation on Sanction Team:
Cheryl, Okku (with Douglas), Vitun, Aeshma, and the two Solars if they're still with us, Elaine and Lyla, Agrias, Lavian, Alicia.
Maybe Darius as well.
>>
>>21574652
>"Tissue samples and data on a possible cure would be extremely helpful, but..." the officer looks at you intently. "Are you prepared to rehabilitate and re institute them into life? Make bargain:
We send across people, Crusade rehabilitates who they can. If they judge a person to be guilty, they send said person back and we'll try to reform them into good people rather than kill them
Tranquility needs to get dead though.

I think we should send the Crusade details of the Fapfic this damn place spawned from. Inform him that Chaosbringer was an entity with the power to make what he wrote into Truth and Law, and he used this power to turn everyone into enslaved penisgirls so he could masturbate.
Task Force 38's job, as well as the Crusade's, I assume, is to un-write all that shit.
>>
>>21574652
Continue attempting to contact Mihoshi on her communicator. Can the hacking teams use it as a beacon or something to hack back into the lab?

If not, we might need the crusade's help at dislodging Washu's lab. In which case, tell them that we're trying to ferret out all remaining boltholes for resistance, however one vanished into a subspace pocket when we got our agent in there to rescue the trapped people inside and we lost contact.
>>
>>21574791

The G-man told us that reality in the Crusade's territory works a lot differently than how it does here. They might not be interested in resolving these differences right away, but we may want to try to speak with them about it before we go sending them transcribed events of what all these terrible abominations have done in the past. The Crusade utilizes fictionals, yet we do not know how they interact with them.
>>
>>21574652
WAIT! We've had hackers in the subspace lab, which means if we take the readings when the door appear and compare them to the hacker's telemetry we should be able to figure out the phase variance of Washu's lab.

If we take that and emit a subspace pulse through the deflector dish, modified for the phase variance of Washu's Lab and then target the spot the labv vanished, we should be able to force it to manifest.

Then it's just a matter of adjusting the transporter coils to reinforce confinement beam and redirecting it through that subspace pulse into the lab, allowing a beacon to punch through whatever's keeping us out!

Terminating Aeris-spawn.

We know she's in a bunker, that it's heavily warded, and it's likely got a lot of defenses.

I suggest we make our own door.
First, we use scanning equipment (some ghosts and exographic scanners) to make sure that the area is clear of civilians, and any other important targets.

Using the RVF-25 to coordinate and provide a firing solution, have the R-9A squadron use their wave cannons to drill a hole down to the little SUE.

We have BLU lead in, with the rest of the strike team coming up behind.

Make sure to include Ryu in the strike team. Equip the team with Reality Disruptors, because they'll need them.

Why are we being so hostile to these guys?
Because... really our best bet was that we would find someone who would be able to serve as a magical reset button and fix everything.
That was our strategy in the last two clusterfuck worlds with Ebon Night (Cheryl activating the World Pillar to create a limited Instrumentality) and Doctor Grimm (The Three Goddesses reshaping the world back to their image).
Aside from that, we don't have what it takes to clean up this mess.

I don't think we're being hostile, we're just being cautious. We don't know how they're going to act or reacted, and honestly I expected them to come in guns blazing. Though they seem to be taking a big brother approach.

Also, we have a magical reset button, we just got to dislodge the SUE from it.

OR we can use the subspace phase variance telemetry data sent by the interplexing beacons we sent with Mihoshi to modify a set of pattern enhancers with a high-fidelity phase discriminator. We can set them up at where the door to Washu's Lab was located, and using a phase conditioner in conjunction with a Type R phase discriminating amplifier create a subspace field in-phase with Washu's Lab, allowing us entry through the pattern enhancement field.

Which world do you want to know about?
I'll just do Tenchi Muyo, since that's the one that's important here:
Washu welcomed Chaosbringer to their world.
She activated brainchips she had secretly implanted in everybody, and knocked them out.
Kiyone was offered a job as a planetary police chief and accepted, she also asked that Mihoshi be raped by monsters for 3 days straight and then stationed at a remote border post in Siberia.
Ryoko tried to fight it, but Washu kept shutting down her powers and finally was infected.
Tenchi was cut up and put on life support inside a gel tank.
Ayeka had her body modified at the genetic level to become a breeding factory. Ryoko then raped her every day, as Ayeka could now produce at least 6 children per pregnancy per day. These children were then immediately placed into growth chambers where their minds were programmed in with loyalty to Chaosbringer, Ryoko, and Washu.
Sasami had her memories altered to forget everyone and Tsunami extorted into going to sleep. Sasami then lived the life of an average schoolgirl, alongside Sailor Saturn, and the less said about their relationship the better.

Oh, I almost forgot (because I wish I could); Chaosbringer had Washu televise Ayeka getting raped by Ryoko all across the galaxy, and on all channels on Jurai.

Earth is probably burnt to ash, after the entire Juraian fleet arrived to try to rescue Ayeka.
>>
>>21575524
Wait. No growth chambers, no Ayeka? That's strange.

Have the Security Holograms set up the network taps and have the Hacking Team see what they can recover. Look for information regarding Ryoko, Ayeka, and their children.

We might want to examine that holo-disc. It might hold more than just TV shows. Knowing Mihoshi, it'll either be important research data, or it'll be exactly what it says; TV shows that we already have in our databanks.

"I am Admiral Kurt Veleth. And you? Ah. The Great Crusade's core goal is quite simple. In order to one day eradicate all needless suffering, we move from world to world, doing what we can to stem the tide. Often this takes the form of destroying any overwhelming malevolence we find, but in the case of worlds where there is no clear opposing force as the source of suffering, we take a more subtle method, and destruction is not the only means we employ. Rehabilitation, reconstruction, and diplomacy we use when there is no urgent need for violence." he pauses. "The Crusade believes that even though this task may be impossible, we have an eternity to find out, and the goal itself is worthwhile. Even if it is impossible, so long as we leave behind us a trail of worlds bearing brighter futures, that is enough."

Admiral Veleth's features seem to relax slightly as he recites all this.

"The Crusade moves from world to world as a large mass of fleets. We take very few permanent holdings because we do not want to grow attached to one area or another, or become yet another nation or empire. We move through all realities because we feel everything that exists deserves what help we can offer, not just one corner of it or another. We have no desire to be rulers. Contrary to what you may believe, nor do we wish to force everyone to act in a specific way. Our Judgment Code is a large set of criteria composed in ancient times that states when an intervention is called for, and when it is not."

>>21576010
Thank you for the explanation.
The Transpace Guard holds that each world has a certain key sequence of events and people over a period of time, that is in fact intrinsic to the stability of that world, and indeed the universe it takes place in.
Oftentimes this is a period of conflict, though the magnitude can vary to surprisingly small degrees.
Our research indicates that interfering with that sequence destabilizes the universe, and can eventually lead it to collapse, while removing the destabilizing influence causes the universe to 'heal' itself, restoring the key sequence to the proper order.
So essentially that's what we do, remove those who try and interfere with multiversal harmony, by any means necessary.

(I'm pretty sure that's accurate right?)
>>
>>21576010
"Well, we are the Command Crew of Taskforce 38. I am called Greyheart, although not all of us care to share our names. I understand your creed, and your desires are admirable. May I ask for a point of clarification on that? You mean to say you have no static bases, at all? Not even shipyards or civilian planets?"
>>
>>21575729
"We achieve our goals through force of arms when we have to, and diplomacy when we can afford to. Depending where you are, the multiverse is not a kind and understanding place, and words only have value when backed by action. Generally, we try to at least give a fair warning before initiating any sort of military action. There are exceptions though, depending on circumstance and what we learn through our intelligence services and Truthseekers."

>>21575826
There is indeed a player in the lab, but it's smashed up.

>>21575913
There are five lifesigns within. None are human.

"Gottfaust squads specialize in assaulting reality-warping foes like powerful spirits, demons, and if we're especially unlucky, minor gods," their leader states. "I'd tell you more, but it's classified. At least, for now. Our guns can fire continuous beams or short bursts, and are rather accurate, so you shouldn't worry about friendly fire. Our reality emitters should shield us from the worst of whatever she can muster, and can shield you if you're close by. Keep that in mind."

"Interesting, Admiral. We are, collectively, the Command Crew.
"The Transpace Guard has, as our jurisdiction, a certain area, that we divide into sectors. Our goal was to maintain stability in our region of space.
"In this area, reality has a set course for each world. Changes to that course, results in reality distortions, tears in space-time that can get progressively worse. This can be as simple as an object being not where it's supposed to be, to a person being alive when they're not supposed to be. Within these, 'bookends', of events it is our duty to make sure that events follow their scripted path. We've had groups try to go against the flow of events; each and every time, it's always resulted in more catastrophe and suffering than what they thought they had alleviated.
"The greatest threat to the stability of space-time, however, are what we call SUE's. Supernatural Unbalanced Entities, by their very existence, they cause reality distortions. Chaosbringer was what we call an Arch-SUE; an extremely powerful variant.
"We have at last, developed what we hope is a non-lethal method of neutralizing the destabilizing powers of SUE's. However, we have yet to be able to test it.
"Of course, in addition to all these lofty ideals, we have the nitty-gritty real-world problems of pushing back against the predations of the Universal Union, and chasing down interdimensional criminals.

Entities such as SUEs are often found in unstable 'fanons', alternate universes, which sometimes seem to have their creation centered around a particular SUE's existence."

(This sound like a good explanation?)
>>
>>21576231
We don't really know our selves. Not strange considering that before this calamity happened we where grunts in the back ass end of nowhere. But we do know that when these events have not happened the universe (well really the cannon) has imploded in on it's self. Considering the danger of experimenting with fouces that can distory dimensions full of innocents we have not looked too closely.

Though the shows play normally, in the process of setting up the player, Data notices a pattern in the disk's data storage system equivalent to a code. It appears to have been partially taped over by Mihoshi's shows, but what remains are a number of highly advanced scientific theories. You can only imagine what might've been done with the full product, but as it stands, this can significantly boost your research output.

"We're not sure. It's not true for all universes, all realities. But the vast majority in this sector DO work that way. If a person lives when they shouldn't, there's a reality distortion. If they die when they shouldn't, there's another reality distortion. Or sometimes nothing happens.
"Do we believe in Fate? No. But there's something damn close to it operating in some worlds in this region of the multiverse.
"We heard from a traveler that has some experience with the regions you've traveled through. He said that space and reality works differently where you're from. I'd keep that in mind, Admiral."

The R-types fire a blinding column of light into the bunker, boring through it in an instant, and incidentally wiping out the goat-demons. The sound of feet staggering on stone echoes around the area, Aeris apparently having survived and moving towards the group.

Okay, battle plans for taking out the spawn. I'm thinking we have the Gottfaust focus on the axe demons first, and have Okku drop a Megidola right on top of Aeris to hit them all. >>21575540
BOOOOOOOOTLEEEEEEEEEG!!
>>
>>21576010
Before the civil war started, the Transpace Guard was dedicated to preserving Canon. Canon is the story that takes place in a world - a tale of good triumphing over evil. Or, sometimes, evil triumphing over good. You might call it fate or destiny, but we call it Canon.
We do this because Canon is the natural state of a world, and we try to preserve that. Those who inhabit the multiverse and change Canon are those that destabilise and eventually destroy the natural order.
It's not just rhetoric. A universe can implode under the stress of having its natural course of events altered, and this implosion can cascade and weaken or destroy other universes nearby.
The usual threat to a universe comes from Idiot-gods with the power to bend reality. Said idiot-gods use their power to stroke their egos or stroke their dicks, either oblivious or uncaring to the way reality is crumbling around them.
Other notable threats are conquerors who view each world as just another barracks or manufactory for their conquest, or those who impose their values of Good and Evil to "fix" what they view as wrong in a world. These "fixers" often end up destroying the places they try to fix by making reality collapse - to say nothing of how wrong it is to force your own values and morals on a people.
After the civil war? Shit, who knows. For all I know, everyone other than Task force 38 might have turned from protectors into yet more conquerors.
>>
>>21578077
Besides ignoring everything we discovered about the nature of the Meta, you make it harder for any other TG group that encounters the Great Crusade to have a peaceful meeting by saying that the rest of the TG could now be actively conquering Canons.

This really isn't well thought out at all.
Oh, and it's very late, and we've moved on from this conversation point.

>battleplan
Alicia, Lavian, and Agrias shoot Aeris with Reality Disruptors while Cheryl tries to immobilize her via TK or muscle control.
Lyla and Elaine use Holy and Slow respectively.
Not sure yet which spells Aeshma and Vitun should cast.
BLU and Darius keep their distance and fire their weapons.
Ryu will her with a Fire Wheel ninpo.

Gottfaust try to create a half-circle and fire their weapons on continuous.

Okku should throw magic at Aeris.

Aeris does not have any real magic attacks, but her physical strength rivals that of Hercules. Therefore she must not grappling range of our troops.
>>
>>21578337

In the off-chance we manage to capture Aeris alive. I wonder if we should hand her over to the crusade. OTH Very unlikely she is going to allow us to capture her alive.

I wonder where is Bliss however, since she is Chibi's dark half given physical form Because Chibi was forced to give birth to her that might give some trouble in true Rezing chibi
>>
>>21578367
We may be able to track down Bliss by waiting for the Aurors, Psions, and Abjurers to be revived via their RED-2-GENERIC injections, and then having them scry for her. We also need to scry for Ryoko, and we should find and neutralize any remaining ghost hunters that are left on the world.
>>
>>21580890
Oh, we need to land the Hercules and begin resourcing operations. We need to send mining Scarabs to Carlin, Nevad and Yanacocha, Peru for gold-mining to pay Selphie.

Then tomorrow, we can go to the Kimberly Mine in South Africa and the Letlhakane Mine in Botswana for the diamonds we need to power our True Resurrection spells.

We really should check to see if any other landmarks of the DC Cannon are around, like Gotham City, Metropolis, Atlantis, themyscira, blackhawk island, Quarac, etc.

It would also behoove us to ask Diana if she recognizes or has heard of any of the following: the justice league, the justice society of America, the blackhawks, or their constituents by their cape names or civilian identities. Batman, Bruce Wayne, Jay Garrick, the Flash, Superman, the last son of krypton, etc.
>>
>>21582959
Reading through the source material, there's no mention made of any DC properties, except Themyscira and Wonder Woman. Especially since the source material went into detail on the genocide spell that Chaosbringer cast to kill all men on the planet, and no superheroes were ever mentioned. Also, no superheroes were mentioned in any of the history lessons of contemporary history given in chapters that involved schoolgirls.

You're not going to get anything.

Your troops don't wait for Aeris to make it out of the tunnel, instead, they charge into the ruined bunker before she has a chance to react, backed up by the Gottfaust. Alicia, Lavian, and Agrias fire their Reality Disrupters, but the little demigod darts away from each of their shots, surprisingly fast even while dazed. Cheryl attempts to grapple her with telekinesis and has more luck, the small foe giving a sudden squeak of surprise as her body locks up.

Lyla casts Holy and Elaine Slow, but both spells fail against some form of spell resistance surrounding her. The Holy itself is twisted and thrown back at Lyla, though the sacred magic doesn't do much against the White Mage. It does inflict light burns and hurt like a bitch, though.

BLU and Darius, along with the Gottfaust fire a vicious barrage into her. She lets out a cry of pain, though it is noticeable that BLU's weapons have minimal effect. Darius' bolter fares much better, blasting off one of her legs while the Gottfaust's energy guns fire beams of searing golden light that pierce her in several places.

Ryu's Fire Wheel is added to this, and Okku casts a Megidola that slams into her. The wounds on her are getting grotesque.

"You're bad men!" she spits. "BAD!" Cheryl grimaces.

"Getting harder to hold her!" she calls out.

"Almost there..." the Gottfaust leader says, directing his squad to slowly move their beams around to increase the damage. Aeris howls in pain. Suddenly Cheryl lets out a strangled gasp and Aeris is free, moving towards the Gottfaust. Darius is there, though, intercepting her with Ringil. Aeris punches into Darius' armor with impossible strength, dealing heavy injuries to the space marine. Darius just grunts and forces Ringil around to plunge into her. The blade shimmers and Aeris lets out a final scream before disintegrating into ash.

Alright. Scratch one SUE.

I *think* the next things on the to-do list are: Find Yami and Anzu, although it seems like we're just sitting tight until our scrying crew gets revived. The Farseers could also attempt to scry in their stead, however.
>>

>>21585260
The Farseers do so.
>>
>>21585312
The Farseers locate Yami and Anzu stalking through the ruins of a metropolitan area far removed from where you last sighted them. You're not sure how they got there.

A Crusade scoutship is in the area and will be sighting them in a few minutes.
>>
>>21585260
We're also waiting for a planetary scan for Juraian DNA to finish from the AUH' advanced sensor suite.
>>
>>21585416
Have the Rodger Young beam them up into Containment, and have an EMH go over them for injuries.
>>
>>21585450

Do you think we should try to contact them first? Teleporting someone without prior warning can be disorienting and very agitating. Especially so after being kidnapped/blackmailed by Chaosbringer.

While Yami isn't likely to cause any harm if he sticks to his card-game schtick, we don't know if he has any artifacts on him that could cause harm to our personnel or interfere with our equipment.
>>
>>21585416
>>21585450
Once they're in Containment.
"Pharaoh Yami, Miss Anzaki. We apologize for it taking so long to extract you from the surface.
"You will be happy to know that Chaosbringer is dead. We also just finished turning his daughter to ash.
"Please excuse the current accommodations; I assure they're only temporary."
>>
>>21585530
Since our previous attempts to get ahold of him after the failure to beam him up also failed, I'm guessing that he doesn't have a communicator on him.

If you're that concerned we can have Spike meet them first, tell them were going to beam them up, then do so.

But he only has a few minutes. I'd rather that Yami gets an opportunity to "defect" to us first, before the Crusade gets their hands on him.
>>
>>21585416

>>
>>21585827
Assuming you mean give him back his original body, Yami is quite happy at that. Not so much at the joining part. He's had quite enough of being press-ganged into armies, thank you.
>>
>>21585897
We aren't going to press-gang you into our "army." We're going to ask you nicely and if you don't want to be, well, we could drop you off at your home if you want, but well. . .

I don't think there's much of your home left.

But we're not going to force you to do anything. We just found your skills to be legendary and were hoping you would like to join up.
>>
>>21585960
If there's not much of his home left, do we leave it up to the Great Crusade to relocate him, or do we divert some time to seek out a meta-hub for him to settle in (and grab supplies/make trade)?
>>
>>21585997
Well, we need to go to Pathfinder or 3.5 next for resupply run. He might like it there.
>>
>>21585997

We do have a couple of colonies we can drop him off at but I'd say we should leave the final choice up to him.

Going with the crusade is effectively joing their crusade fleet, though.
>>
>>21585897
If you don't want to join, please feel free to hang out here and play a few Children's Card Games. Please no Shadow Games, those end up a mess of paperwork.

Then we call Admiral Crusade Guy, and see if he wants to help us drag Tranquility out of a rock and punch her in the cock repeatedly so we can deus ex machina this bitch.
>>
>>21585897
"We're not going to press-gang you. It's a simple offer; no strings attached.
"Now, returning you home is going to take a bit. There's a lot of damage there that has to be undone. It could take a while.
"But before that, we have to discuss your status as a defector from a hostile nation's military, and the 4 million-strong battle fleet currently in orbit, and how they want to put you on trial.
"We think you've got a good case going for you; you were extorted into joining Chaosbringer's army, you didn't join willingly, and you defected to us at the first opportunity."
>>
>>21585997
There's two other people from his Canon here, one of which needs to stand trial. Then his Canon, while in a bit of a mess, isn't irrecoverable. It'll just take time to repair. That's something that the Crusade can do.

Our plan is to find a way to get into the rock or more likely drag her ass out of the rock, because she's probably more powerful inside the rock and then punch her in the cock until she explodes.

Our goal is to hopefully use our psychics and mediums to contact the canon queens and have them assist us in drawing her ass out. But seeing as this is our first Rock to Asskicking attempt, any experience you guys might have would be helpful.
>>
>>21586164
>Yami
Alright, we'll let him get his case together, and Data could potentially help him with any legal preparations. At the least, getting his thoughts in order will likely help him face his trial.

"Our plan was to attempt to contact the Queens inside of the Crystal, and gain the assistance of those that opposed Tranquility's measures. With their help, we want to try to draw Tranquility out, and erase her from existence. If you can provide any experience in such exorcisms, that would be appreciated."

>>21586212
We called her once already to make sure that the colony is safe. And yes, it's a TG-operated off-world colony somewhere not in our sector. The best thing we can do is let Cossack make a Robot Master or upgrade a YVH droid and send it to her as a bodyguard.
>>
