The doors produced a loud, cavernous booming once closed, cutting off and trapping some remnants of the creamy fog that lingered for a moment, dancing in the air before evaporating altogether, the sight of the tall, colored and beautiful Radiance cut any possibility of speech between you and Hadraniel, the fair maiden compliment to the Hero was met with stunned silence as the 4 winged Embodiment of Faith plucked out the long spear from its resting point, and turned to face the both of you once more, her small rosy wings flapping in unison, producing a brief jolt of refreshing wind carrying dusts in its wake.

Plastered with a confident, almost teasing, smile, the angel closed the distance in a slow march, her pale dress cutting open at her legs, camouflaged by the same set of plate that Hadraniel is garbed with but your trained eyes easily identify some very well hidden chains linking the plates, her armor is much lighter than what your shield has been equipped with.

‘’I’m sorry for taking so long to come and finally speak to you, Hadraniel’’

In one fluid movement, Radiance shove the spear on the tiled ground, the sound of pierced ceramic reverberate in the echo friendly chapel and you regain your composure, sending a gaze to the angel atop her perch, her face is still tear stained and humid but at the very least her tears have stopped flowing, replaced by stunned, mute astonishment.

‘’Don’t treat it like a javelin, a Hero weapon is to be carefully taken care of you know?’’

Said in a tone betraying a very clear amusement, the angel cast a glance toward you and you find yourself unable to hold it, instead opting for the option of looking away with hidden fluster, Hadraniel confession was still very present on your mind and almost completely eclipsed her every words after that.

She has completely forgotten about the soul link and the cascade of emotions is almost confusing in its intensity, but it’s clear, this Hero has very, very strong feelings about the second angel.

‘’Embodiment of Faith Radiance, but you of all people should really call me Lysta’’

A strong feeling of nostalgia cascade down the link as you keep silent, right now you feel really out of place amidst these two divines beings.

‘’Lysta…?’’

Hadraniel voice is only a murmur, but it reaches yours and Radiance ears all the same.

‘’You’re feeling some déjà vue aren’t you?’’

Radiance flaps her wings, sending an intense wave of wind that force a grunt when it slam unto you, however you find yourself puzzled when the rosy angel has her gaze upon you with a calm, soft smile, such vision alone is almost hypnotic in its gentle otherworldliness.

‘’A hero has to give humanity what it need, Hadraniel, and right now you have to accept the fact that the specie you’ve been sworn to protect isn’t on the brink of extinction, our past struggle has ended, but you have another one to accomplish’’

She’s mirroring your words, but right now you feel content in staying silent, the affection Hadraniel has for the gentle angel make you feel simply privileged to witness this reunion.

‘’I’m sorry, I won’t be able to stay for long, the Tenko summoning is about to end and I wanted to help her however I could, she’s really has grown, huhu’’

Said in a motherly tone, Radiance goes as far as crossing her arms on her chest, the atmosphere feel less charged by that simple relaxed gesture, as if this person could sway your emotions by being there.

But her statement wasn’t in jest, her piercing gaze crosses yours as you realize just what it is exactly she just revealed.

Tsukiyomi-no-Mikoto is the Tenko, for a moment you forget your place as you remember the content of a certain small book.

‘’I don’t remember, I can’t…’’

A resounding hollow boom inside the chapel make you wince as the resulting blast of wind force you to shield your face due to the carried dust and small debris, even so you aren’t blind to the movement of the 4 winged maiden, her sudden charge carry her to Hadraniel in a flash, you don’t even have time to lower your arm when she land on the ornate throne, with Hadraniel simply continuing to stare, unmoving, until the closing proximity of Radiance send a very clear wave of fear that squeeze your heart.

But, undaunted, the maiden step close enough to put a hand on the shoulder of her comrade, then you hear a brief chuckle as she force the warrior forward in a one sided hug, the two armor meeting in an audible smack.

‘’Even after all this time, wherever you will find yourself and whatever struggle you choose to fight, I’ll always love you, keep this simple truth at heart’’

You watch in silence at the two battle maiden, no, two heroes embrace. You didn’t have much time to get to know this woman shining in the brightest light you’ve ever seen, Radiance always left you a unique impression yet her very presence always soothed your worries for the very short time you’ve seen her, and now small humid trails are escaping the fair maiden eyes and you force your vision shut, Hadraniel emotions are simply indescribable, a chaotic mess of pain and fear that is slowly whittled away by resolution, nay, pure raw strength.

‘’Please, at le-‘’

‘’See you later’’

The angel soft pleading is implacably refused by reality, for a moment, you locked eyes with Radiance when she cast her gaze downward, her face was serene and calm, posed in a gentle smile.

This hero is dead but somehow, Tsukiyomi granted her some sort of temporary life, and you are witnessing her departure, from the moment Hadraniel started to speak, Lysta hand gently stroked her helmet and… her form became illuminated in white, concealing every trait of her physique, standing there for a few precious seconds before evaporating in a cascade of brilliant small stars, disappearing into the shrine.

And not a second after, the fog behind the large, single window of the church disappeared, granting the sun passage to illuminate Hadraniel throne in gold, while the Valkyrie stood unmoving, kneeling.

But the mix of negative emotions isn’t enough to topple this warrior, she stand up, taking in a deep, deep breath, her eyes looking fatigued, yet resolute although confused: she has barely any recollection of the departed angel, but as an amnesiac yourself you know just how powerful meeting an important person of your past can be, you really hoped that… whatever was the cause of Radiance presence could have allowed her to stay, but it would reality was much too cruel a mistress, but unlike Mana or Avina she is not completely gone.

Hadraniel cascades of emotions have settled into a resolute peacefulness, her voice is a simple murmur as she rubs her forehead, her eyes unfocused as she looks down at you.

Taking in a deep breath, Hadraniel jump down from her perch, landing fast and strong on the ground in a concert of clunking metal, her wing folding to rest near her shoulders.

Hadraniel statement is lost in time as you slowly recover from the scene, now alone with the hero whom offered you her downcast profile, the heavy mixture of emotions that were tearing apart her very ideals and self-seem to have completely settled, but even so the vision grip you with an inexplicable, poignant sadness.

‘’Siegfried?’’

The fact that she isn’t fleeing or forcefully rejecting your embrace fills you with untold joy, while the impersonal, cold armor act as batter you still gently pull her to you, your arms squeezing her without much strength as a brief cascade of warms emotions leak from the façade of the link and, completely silent, the stubborn girl finally relent.

With a voice barely above a whisper, your hero doesn’t seem to acknowledge anything, her arms lies without strength at her side, thus you resolve to squeeze with enough force for two people.

Her tone is broken, her word only a croak, thus she clear her throat.

Of course, she’s not the one to worry about herself.

>Ability of the holy sword unlocked: Phantasm.

Phantasm: With Radiance separated from her comrade, she can manifest unto the world for the briefest of time as a magical ghost, having been a very powerful holy mage in her lifetime she can be summoned from the blade and cast a single, middle level Holy spell to either harm or heal yourself and allies.

The time between these summoning is irregular.

Can be upgraded by having Hadraniel enter the shrine-world, doing so would allow you to literally launch the hero in a spectral charge, but once done she would need to reenter the blade in a more conventional way for she become a full part of the world once outside.

You blade has now gained a permanent Holy nature, very effective against demons and able to purge small amounts of corruptions as well as healing wounds (but not fatigue or weariness) by having it free of its scabbards, the small quantity that is irradiated by the sword allow it to work on monsters without side effects.

May activate your hunger, keep that in mind and putting it in the scabbard completely remove the magic until you draw your weapon again, and the holy will inevitably work on your humans foes, for the ones that manage to get close enough of the aura and constantly glower, making for a very effective torch but also killing any attempt at sneaking.

As you gaze into her eyes, she return you a stern look that almost make you chuckle given how emotional she was not a few minutes ago, but it seem you won’t be able to argue otherwise with this angel, she gently push you away, breaking the hug and step back.

Hadraniel is the master of this domain, you watch in silence as she extend her arm and… a blanket literally spawn in her palm in a brief shower of white firefly, the same sparks enshrine her legs, removing the heavy armor and replacing it in a long, long silky, peach dress that seem to glide on the floor as she step closer to you, however this hero has no sense of fashion whatsoever, she’s still garbed with her chest plate and helmet.

Her oceans eyes are literally fleeing your own gaze, but she gently and slowly sit on her knees, extending the blanked on the ground and patting her thigh.

Due to distance, they didn't feel what Hadraniel did when Siggy transformed but it's a sure bet they felt enough to know some weird shit happened. The way she smile while looking down is lovely indeed, for her face flushed ever so slightly while you felt this incessant, constant wave of warmth coming from the link that… you just don’t know how to describe.

Weariness assault your body even before you fully lie down, the blanket isn’t exactly a proper mattress but you feel so tired that you just… don’t care, your head met her leg and immediately after you feel her hand gently funning along your forehead, prompting you to look up and now you notice that her helmet is gone, the long cascade of blond hair fall down her back and over her shoulder while she’s looking at you, this maiden before you is truly heavenly, she even go as far as gently flapping her wind to create a nice, fresh and relaxing wind.

Ah if only… if only you could…watch a bit more…

You don’t even need to make a single step after reaching the door, your body isn’t yours anymore, it disappeared into nothingness yet your consciousness remains, it seem that you are now condemned to be the spectator before you is a scene held in stasis, now moving, the stage is set.

A battlefield, no doubt about it, the ones you remember were mostly covered in snow, here the contrast is stark: long blades of grass stained in blood, gorging the overused death where myriad of corpses, maiden in battle dress, slain by many a different weapons, most lay prone on the ground and you can see some figure on their knees, hands on the pommels of swords, spears axes, offering a last sepulcher of honor in their departing stances.

The wind stink of fire, and the air relay screams and clang of irons, the psychosis of the battlefield is in full swing.

With a sudden burst, the echo of the battles are dwarfed when clangs, grunts and harsh breath resonate unnaturally while two bodies cut the wind in impossible speeds, moving with different styles and angle, the long, elegant spear of Hadraniel thrust then slash without hesitation or remorse but even now, as you watch from a distance, you can’t follow the weapon as it shatter an axe of glasses, shards suddenly springing forward and imbedding themselves right in the angel torso but thankfully, her armor stop the attack and with a burst of holy light, the wind clack in a resonating ‘’pop’’ as the wings of your companion grow twice they’re size, glowing in the greatest of white as a distance is forced by the shockwave.

The first one you observe is her.

She’s standing amidst the maiden’s corpses, outstretched wings bringing the illusion of a Valkyrie, plate armor of deep cerulean rival the intensity of her eyes, the dress that gave her elegance was discarded, instead her legs are covered in the same blue, form fitting plate as she hold her spear upright, and the emotion you see… it’s one of shock, mixture of sadness and disbelief as she stare ahead, at her foe. Yet atop her head glow a bright halo of golden white, an elegant circle pierced by the point of the helmet.

A man whose armor is scratched and pierced, a design you do not know but it is chainmail and irons plates, his skin is slightly tanned, only the piece you can see however, for he is covered in strange symbols of black and red, glowing and hurting as you look for they seem to slither like half dead serpents, its covering him entirely each lines forming an alien alphabet that, itself, form into a grander, larger whole but thankfully he look at the angel with eyes of focused dark chestnut, his mind is whole.

Departing from his shoulders are two large wings in the black of crows, feathers falling as they move and flapping with his breath, he is not particularly tall or large, but the… marking you can see on his faces and hands are more than intimidating enough, as are the wings, a perfect contrast to Hadraniel.

‘’Kyorn, my friend!’’

Her voice is strong, but even so the shock betray it utterly as the angel step forward, prompting the adversary to laugh derisively before he… cast? Whatever it is he does, his hand grasp a large claymore of glass, ready to shatter at a moment notice, pulling it out of the air, his movements slow and deliberate as he circle the large blade with one hand, its transparent nature glistening under the harsh sun, you now notice that both of them are sweating profusely.

‘’The reason of your coming here…’’

A deep bestial voice, yet tinted with youthful vigor and energy, twisted into some kind of… of anger, one can learn a lot from a man tone.

‘’…is you clinging to your ideal of misery’’

He says in an accusation voice, pointing at your companion with his transparent claymore.

But the rebuttal is strong and sincere as Hadraniel take another step, her wings flapping… ah yes that prove she’s nervous, how old is this memory?

‘’We are Heroes! Is it not our birthright and duty to help humanity, to lead with justice and chivalry!? Kyorn you were with us! We are here to inspire, why do you work as a mer-‘’

There’s another ‘’pop’’ as the air around them break, rip and burst in a shockwave enough to unearth the planted weapons and it is with a fearsome war cry, combined with the glowing tattoos on his skin, that the black one charge with the claymore forward and when it collide with the spear, Hadraniel try to parry and slide but the sword shatter and immediately, the shards charge and stick in her armor, but she manage a painful strike with the blunt-

No, the staff land on the side of the man head but he bring his hand as guard and take the hit while striking forward, palm first, right unto the middle of the angel chest and there she goes, flying only to land and slide but a powerful strike of her wings propel her upright once more, but you see a clear silver fluid leaking from her side, a shard has pierced.

‘’It’s dead!’’

The man bellow now armed with a staff of this same, shattering glass. While his wounded hand tremble slightly, but he seem numb to the pain.

‘’The Crusade is dead, Hadraniel, chivalry, glory, justice… none of this was ever found on the battlefield. We’ve earned naught but death, decay and stasis!’’

So he say, wings flapping and charging, the duel is now airborne as Heroes clashes, retreat and circle each other in an dizzying spiral of incomprehensible speed, but all of it come to a crashing end when Hadraniel spear pierce her foe and slide across his belly, but his hand, a short sword of this transparent, crystals glass piece Hadraniel armor and lodge itself in her stomach, producing a pained cough as her silver blood is spitted out but the foe grab her throat while her grand wings shrinks, flapping uselessly.

‘’Yet now you hold back’’

She… was?

‘’Hadraniel, you were my comrade, but Radiance is dead the world has changed. Living flawlessly, believing in others, bringing peace and shouldering the evil like we did are age old beliefs that need to be casted off’’

His grip tighten, producing yelp of pain from the angel and you can’t help but growl as your own jaw hurt your teeth, your rage at the distress of your comrade is more than heartfelt.

But she resist, her dominant arm is gripping her spear despite the pain of the wound as she grab his wrist and her movement is a blur, the man chin is now held hostage as the spear of the angelic hero stand perfectly still despite the lack of air and the open wound, now you notice that the blood flow freely, its silvery, brilliant color crawling down her side, the blade has disappeared.

‘’W-whether… it is pure hypocrisy…’’

She stops, wince, cough but the spear is not even moving.

‘’I-I will believe and strive! Lysta wanted to change the world! W-We did it Kyorn! Now we need to change…

…the heart, yes I know’’

A scream of pain, the one with wings of black suddenly fall, bringing the angel with him and the two almost slam to the ground were it not for him giving a furious flap of wing and landing gently, the resulting shockwave tore patches of dirt out of the soil.

And he slams the armored angelic knight, hard, to the point that she bounces lightly and rolls away.

‘’Look where that got you now, the Heroes are dead, only three of us are left and you are the only one keeping your title’’

His fury has dissipated as he look around, the numerous displace corpses lay strewn, as well as the weapons, yet in the horizon, screams and clashes, unending.

‘’This is our home, Hadraniel. I certainly hope you’re making Lysta proud’’

And so the tattooed Hero exits the stage, but before he disappears in his flapping of wings, his face is one of rage, almost uncontrolled, if not maddening.

There lay the crouching, pitiful angel who held back for the sake of an old comrade, her wings cocooning her defeated form as she kept on believing, even with her silver blood gently traveling down her mouth, accompanying the clear liquids form her eyes.

This battle would go down in history as the defining moment of the unification of the Faith, but a lone girl wanting to shoulder the world forced herself upright for soldiers invaded the area.

Consciousness rouse your body, the dream and strong in your mind your eyes open to stare a set of slightly shining gold, two tails rubbing your leg ant two fluffy ears atop her head, the window is shining in great orange as the sun set, Mylen masking some of the invading ray but, when your gaze fall back to Tsukiyomi, she simply stare at you in silence, her close proximity send a very real flutter in your heart.

Almost by reflexes, your hand extends and land upon Tsu head, rubbing the two vulpine ears between your fingers, prompting a very small ‘’unf’’ from the foxy maiden as all her tails move in response, her eyes closing with the caress.

"Good evening, Tsu.’’

You say in a hoarse tone, prompting you to clear your throat and trying to chase the lingering weariness, Tsu still hasn’t opened her eyes; her expression is one of quiet bliss as you continue to rub the fluffy ears.

‘’ How do you feel? Did I miss anything interesting?"

Finally, the queen-mother open her eyes and you almost lose yourself in the beautiful gold, her smile is more than enough reward.

‘’Rested’’

She says her tone strong and dignified.

‘’And nothing of note happened, I was just about to wake you for it is now time to depart’’

You hear a brief grunt from Mylen as she stretch, various clink and clunk catch your interest and you see that she’s arming herself with swords, daggers and a single spear resting on the wall, the remainder of the Regalia already latching on her arm, her armor being a mixture of chains and half plate.

… You’ve slept a while.

I have an idea for that. I think Mylen's earlier hostility towards Tsu is more due to her jimmies being rustled about Siggy having 23 days to live than pure jealousy. Sounded like she was trying to get more info from Tsu, info Tsu either doesn't know or can't tell (Siggy got the same thing and decided to let it be, but Mylen tried to push the issue and got on Tsu's bad side).

I believe the key to getting Mylen to calm down and stop antagonizing Tsu is talk with her alone, show her the vampire potion, and explain it as the trump card: if nothing else Siggy or the others do changes the fate of his impending death, open it, pour it down his throat, and hope for the best..

Then give the other girls the same talk so that IF that happens, they all know what to do on Day 30.

She's a fighting woman, so is Athena. Mylen also likes to troll, thus giving her and Sylphis something in common (plus someone to help our mantis train and improve her fighting skills). Mylen undoubtedly has some good (and embarrassing) stories about Siggy when he was younger to share as well.

Siegfried should encourage them to get along and, if they don't fight, the three of them will be fembro'ing it up in no time.

Then Ame-no-Uzume start to fan herself, and you almost gets rammed when Bletsia charges you, tis thank to Mylen reflex that you still have your footing but the girl is hugging you fiercely.

Mother and daughter all but glare at one another with Athena making herself very small amongst the pale, white tails of her queen.

Then she camouflages her mouth with her fan, leaning in while her tails start to move at uneven interval.

One hand on your sword, you slowly draw it in a long, deliberate movement, the blade is shining, casting incredible brightness all around you, the white is almost blinding and just from holding it, you can feel the holy energy being sent all around you, pumping constantly like a gentle heart, every gaze inevitably drawn on the magical sword and, on cue, Hadraniel appear in a shower of white firefly, garbed in full armor and holding her long spear, looking both solemn and resolute while the eternally shining sword illuminate her body.

‘’How wondrous…’’

The one to speak, surprisingly, was Mylen but she’s right: this sword is truly captivating, it irradiate pure holy in a constant, gentle stream yet shine powerfully like the brightest flame, a weapon fit for a paladin.
