The way is SHUT.

TG QUEST!

Last thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/21099910/

When last we left Task Force 38, they had laid out their plans and were preparing to make their move to take down the insidious Arch SUE Chaosbringer. Unexpected complications occur as reports of a third party believed to be Strider Hiryu arrive. The moment draws near as the final orders are awaited.

Noon, Day 22
>>
>>21113042
MetaOP, did MechaGodzilla come with his Fake Godzilla disguise?
>>
Well I say we should proceed with the plan except that we should deploy some way to observe Strider Hiryu just in case Chaosbringer decides to take him out rather then participating in his ritual. So get someone monitoring the airwaves and/or send a probe/observer
>>
>>21113117
No he did not.
>>
>>21113227
Dammit. How long would it take to make a fake Godzilla disguise for him? Could we do it in about an hour?
>>
Strider's a ninja right?
Which means he's one dodgy motherfucker.
Monitor his condition and hope he can survive until we begin our assault, at which point things will be so chaotic we can beam him up no problem.
>>
>>21113141
OK. Reposting plan.

Cheryl: Reality Disruptor Rifle
Agrias: Girthang
Lavian: Nameless Blade
Alicia: Voiceless Spear
Aeshma: Ebon Lance, Hard-Suit
Regina: Reality Disruptor Rifle, Hard-Suit, RED-2
Sonya: ORANGE II, Hard-Suit, RED-2
Lyla: Reality Disruptor Rifle
Elaine: Reality Disruptor Rifle

While Cheryl is the more powerful psychic, Aeshma can wield the Ebon Lance better.
Lyla and Elaine have the RD Rifles more as defense than as actually attacking.

All members have Reality Emitter Mk. II's, Anti-Viral Booster Shot, and their regular equipment loadouts. That means spellcaster armor and RED-2 injections.

Emergency Security Holograms:
Armed with Phaser Rifles (with Frequency Remodulator), Photon Grenades, Plasma Grenades, Exographic Targeting Scanners, Tricorder

HK-50:
Armed with enchanted Blaster Rifle, Photon Grenades.

YVH Droids:
Photon Grenade bandoliers.

All equipped with standard equipment:
Communicator, Reality Emitter Mk. II

Second Strike Team:
Cpl. Shephard
- Reality Emitter Mk. II, kinetic barrier
Darius
Star-Lord
Finalon
Tosh
Spike
Douglas
Falco
Fox
James

The Wrecking Crew - destroy the wards keeping the ghosts out
MI A & B, X-COM NOVA, Mad Cats, Prawns A & B, all KI, TG Soldiers, Dystopian Troops, MetPharm High-Sec, Zombie Hunters, Baneblades, Tomahawks

Wrecking Crew to only be deployed if the anchors for the wards can be identified.
>>
>>21113356
Agrias, Lavian, Alicia, Aeshma have Reality Disruptor Rifles as backups.

BLU Sniper in a cloaked Al'Kesh with his exographic scanner and micro-transporter module-equipped anti-tank rifle.

Mammoth Tank Mk. III
Equipped with Incursion Holo-Emitter, Mammoth Railgun Transporter Module.

Al'Kesh 1 takes the Mammoth Tank to the abandoned hill area that Darius identified, and beams it down. The Mammoth Tank activates its holo-emitter and prepares to fire. Al'Kesh 1 is on standby in the air to beam up the tank and escape if our cover is blown and we can't just kill the opposition.

Al'Kesh 2 and 3 transport the Strike Team and the Support Platoon, respectively.
Support Platoon being HK-50, YVH Platoon, ESH Squad.
They are beamed down to the insertion point identified by our tacticians and make their way towards the main hall. Al'Kesh 2 and 3 will beam personal Reality Emitter Mk II's around the ritual hall so as to not trigger anti-teleport wards inside the hall itself, and the Emitters will activate on our signal.

Al'Kesh 4 will be on standby in the air, with BLU Sniper ready to take the shot when the opportunity presents itself.

Ghost Force Recon to prepare to come crashing down on Temple complex when the signal is given.

Pieces to be in place as the scrying ritual is going on.

And it looks like you want to add keeping an eye on Strider to that list. Anything else?
>>
>>21113042
In the future, when the last thread is still ~live~ link the new one.
>>
>>21113369
We still going to try a Kyoto Shuffle as a distraction? Send part of the ghost brigade and MechaGodzilla over there to try and draw their spirit fighters away and give cover to Hiryu?

What if we equip an Incursion Holo-Emitter to MechaGodzilla? How long would that take?
>>
We are going to obliterate him, just as planned to a T.
Makeuse of Holy Weapons, Spells, and Abilities Alpha Team (I dont think they'd like being called Amazon team to their face!) research shows Arch-SUE is vulnerable. Cheryl! If he starts getting mouth, use your biopsychokenetical powers to destroy his voice box, no somatic spells available for him in that case, nor can he try to seduce you. Alpha team, he likely will try to seduce you, if you have anyone near and dear to you, think of them. Agrias, You're squad leader!

Bravo Team, Star-Lord, you're Squad Leader!
>>
>>21113369
Ask the ghost of Mamoru Chiba to come forward, given the whole "Moonlight Knight" think was some kind of weird astral projection of him, if I recall correctly, he should be especially powerful for a spirit.
Also he might know about the specifics of the Silver Crystal, specifically how to purge a SUE dwelling within.
>>
>>21113454
Nah, that's still unnecessary.
MechaGodzilla is an anti Kaiju weapon.
Unless Chaosbringer managed to recreate Sin thanks to Yunalesca, his time hasn't come yet.
>>
>>21113536
You're using Anti-Kaiju weapon as a drawback, when really it isn't. The thing can smash Japanese cities and airships just fine. And if it draws away some of the defenses of the temple, it'll be an easier time attacking it. Especially when they're caught between choosing to fight MechaGodzilla (and the ghost hordes if we send some) and you guys attacking Rome.
>>
>>21113633
It kind of is.
Beings like the Sailor Senshi have vast power and mobility but a very small size in comparison to MechaGodzilla.
So MechaGodzilla could hit everything but whoever is fighting him.
>>
>>21113670
We're not using him to kill the Senshi. We're using him as a massive distraction. The reality emitter and his Space Titanium armor should be enough to keep him intact, and we can try and reinforce his command signal from being compromised while we ready him to launch.

He also should be rather resistant to the Lantern Rings seeing as he's a goddamn Robot. And if we relay a message while dressed up as the Space Simians, we're hoping to make them think it's just a standard universe enemy attack instead of a Metafaction.
>>
>>21113776
I don't think Chaosbringer knows metafactions exist.
>>
>>21113813
Even if he doesn't, a bunch of space monkies that have mind controlled Godzilla isn't a big enough threat that requires Chaosbringer to visit. We send some of the ghost troops there as well, hopefully draw away some of their Priestesses/Miho, and then drop MechaGodzilla on them while extracting Hiryu.
>>
>>21113843
Eh it just seems too risky to me.
>>
>>21113959
And committing the bulk of our forces in a head on assault to his main base where all his forces will be for a ritual isn't?
>>
>>21113776
To be fair though, Mechagodzilla did absolutely Trounce magical girls by the hundreds, Including Sailor moon (Although she was in a small mech) before. Back in the Vaderverse.
>>
>>21114004
You do realize that Godzilla is actually much much MORE dangerous than MechaGodzilla right?
Due to being borderline indestructible?
I'd say having the King of All Monsters turn up out of nowhere would be enough to cancel the ritual.
>>
>>21114026
I think they were all in giant robots.
>>
>>21114047
That's why we drop him in late, once the party's already started. The Ghosts go in, start causing trouble and try and get in contact with Hiryu. Assuming half the world was men, that's 3,500,000,000 Ghosts. Send 500,000,000 to Japan to start dicking around. Hopefully he'll send out some of his dudes and Sailor Mars to contain it while the ritual is going on. When they're draw away, the main assault force attacks the ritual. While the main assault force is attacking, we drop MechaGodzilla disguised as Godzilla on Tokyo, using the appearing of the King of the Monsters to cause more Chaos and Panic.
>>
>>21114101
...Why?
By that point the Chaosbringer will already be dead.
I mean all the forces will obviously disengage to support their master.
It just seems like deploying MechaGodzilla just because we can.
>>
>>21114047
Just FYI, he's not Borderline Indestructible. Only two things in the universe are known to kill Godzilla 100%. Dr. Serizawa's Oxygen Destroyer, and Godzilla himself melting down like a giant nuclear reactor.

I think it's safe to call him Completely Indestructible with two exceptions.
>>
>>21114178
Super MechaGodzilla II was able to kill him, wasn't he?
But then Fire Rodan turned himself into a phoenix down.
>>
>>21114151
You can see the future now? Well, that's awesome, I'd like the lotto numbers for next week.

You're forgetting three of the most important rules of warfare:
3: War is the Art of Misdirection.
2: No plan survives contact with the enemy.
1: /tg/ dice HATE THE SHIT out of us. (With the exception of MechaGodzilla, who has four+ smashing shit related crits under his belt.)
>>
>>21114151
If we're lucky, he'll be dead. If not, better to have his forces split in case of a protracted battle.
>>
>>21114209
Super MechaGodzilla destroyed his second brain, and had him on the ropes. And theoretically, he may have been able to kill him, but Fire Rodan healed him.

However Godzilla's also been shown to shrug off and destroy black holes and regenerate after being left a heart on the ocean floor.
>>
>>21114222
...And you want to toss down our most powerful asset against enemies he can't hit, but can probably bypass AT fields and hack the shit out of him, as a distraction?
Why not take down the satellite defense network (which will be shooting the fuck out of the enormous target that MechaGodzilla)?
That'd be a distraction.
>>
>>21114238
Technically, the one that was just a heart was even more overpowered than usual, being made of angry ghosts.
But yeah, I see your point.
>>
>>21113523
This will take time to find him among the many many ghosts you've summoned.

Equipping enough holo emitters to MG will take about 2 hours.
>>
>>21114247
Mainly, because I figured with us commiting everything to this assault that the orbiting ships would be taking care of the satellite defense network so they couldn't take potshots at the forces attacking the temple.

Unless you guys just hoped they'd ignore them once the firing starts.
>>
>>21114261
It would be very cool if that heart was around.
Very, very cool.
>>
>>21114299
Do it. While you're equipping MechaGodzilla with the Holoemitters, if we have any hackers/magical means up here, use them to reinforce MechaGodzilla's control antenna and try to encrypt the signal so it's as difficult as possible to hack him.
>>
>>21114311
I'm hoping we can channel the rage and hate of the ghosts we summoned into forming Godzilla after they're done being a giant ass undead horde.
>>
>>21114309
Given that I can't imagine satellite weaponry being anti-infantry, I kind of figured that they wouldn't like blowing up their own temple.
But fine, lets try your plan and get to work.
If we can spend two hours.
>>
>>21114299
Wouldnt Cheryl be able to find him? She could rend a titan asunder with her mind, she can do anything
>>
>>21114299
Try and keep a transporter lock on Hiryu as well.
>>
>>21114299
Eh, he'll turn up eventually.
>>
I'd like to offer a small addition to the breaching team's approach to entry. Instead of demolition charges they should use phasers.

It should be a lot quieter than explosives, and every second we can buy of stealth will be worth it.

As for finding Mamoru, Gondegal should be able to find him faster with Cheryl's help. He might be a good thing to find because we can use him to distract/deconvert Sailor Moon. If we can get to her, she may be able to use her crystal and purification powers to help us with the other Sailors.
>>
>>21114355
The problem with this is that you really have no idea how to do it.

>>21114373
Sure, it'll just take time.

So you are waiting 2 hours to equip MG with holoemitters? Confirm that?
>>
>>21114476
...That would put us an hour after the ritual right?
Because I don't like that going off.
>>
Rolled 33

>>21114500
You're not sure when the ritual will have finished, but it will have started, yes.
>>
>>21114299
Have them begin making a Quantum entanglement communication set up similar to the one used on the Normandy in Mass Effect to contact the Illusive man so that Mecha-Godzilla can only receive signals from one system which can be made a sub-network separated from any other wireless system save its link to MG.
>>
>>21114514
One hour later...

Cheryl has not managed to find Mamoru, though she has sensed him fleetingly, and is quite sure he's somewhere in there. It is now a few minutes to the start of the ritual.
>>
>>21114500
MechaGodzilla can show up late to the party if he has to.
>>
>>21114514
no waiting, and whats the roll for?
>>
>>21114517
You really, really do not have time for this.
>>
>>21114517
Brilliant. And we have that mass effect scientist dude, he should be able to smooth over setting that up.
>>
Guys, >>21114539.

Seriously. Let's get everything in place and rock and roll.

I want to be able to Clever Girl these bastards with three billion enraged ghosts when the ritual starts!
>>
>>21114539
This is a project for later, its mostly just getting measurements which should be 5 minutes tops.
>>
Alright, get everyone in position.
Wait for maximum dramatic irony to attack?
>>
>>21114560
Are the Five-Hundred Billion going to attack japan at the same time at you guys do your assault?
>>
>>21114598
*million, not billion.
>>
>>21114598
I figured we'd just beam Strider up, since things will already be exciting enough.
But whatever, I'm getting bored now.
>>
>>21114598
I'd say before. We want the ghosts to try and draw away the anti-ghost dudes at the temple, so if the massive horde attacks it, all their anti-ghost dudes will be in japan.
>>
Ghosts attacking Tokyo will mostly target the "recently-grown" troops and not care if they're killed. They are allowed to attack youma, but preferably not kill them.

Other than that, they can pretty much riot like Canada after they lose a hockey game.
>>
>>21114653
They should be attacking Youma, Military, Officers, Scaring the General Population. Just cause trouble, and if they can kill Youma and shit, go for it. Just don't start indiscriminately killing random people.
>>
>>21114681
We should have one keep aside Hiryu and get in contact with him.
>>
>>21114653
>>21114681
>>21114682
The ghosts in the Tokyo attack are to attack anyone who is armed, part of Chaosbringer's military forces/officers, and general scaring of the populace.

Innocent civilians are to be scared out of the area. Everyone else is fair game.

Also, >>21114709
+1 to this.

Meanwhile we wait untilt he ghost hunter SUEs are away heading towards Tokyo then we spring the real attack on the ritual once we bring the anti-ghost wards down.

Kill everything here that's not one of the Sailors. They are to be restrained and force-injected with SUE-Cure.
>>
>>21114744
Sailor Moon, or as she is now known, Nightmare Queen Ecstasy, may be an additional problem.
There's a corruptive presence known as Tranquility within the Obsidian Crystal (formerly Silver Crystal) that facilitated Moon's transformation and appears to be an ex-lover of Chaosbringer.
The Obsidian Crystal is also used for most of Chaosbringer's more powerful rituals.
>>
>>21114744
Well, Kill anyone that isn't a known corrupted fictional.

We have a huge list of them, like Gwen Teneson, or Kim Possible that we should also save if possible.

Or. . . Futa Yami Yugi. Need to turn him normal.
>>
>>21114799
... What.
He got those two as well?

They come from the sea, a sweeping wave of howling voices and transparent forms clutching ghostly rifles, blades, clubs, or just their bare hands. Some have turned fearsome in their transition to undeath, their fury twisting hands into claws and teeth into fangs, but no matter the level of humanity the ghosts have retained, they all share one thing.

Unbridled rage.

They swarm over the few guards and police they find along the coast and move in an unbroken line towards Tokyo's military bases and the docked airship. The airwaves are alight with panicking transmissions as insubstantial blades cut through body armor and beams pass through the wraiths without incident.

>>
>>21115111
Well, we do have Team Amazon coming in to break it up.
'Where are our enemies?'
HERE.
>>
>>21115042
First team is to head through the catacombs I believe, to surprise them. They'll engage and hopefully those reality fields will be in place. Then second team will head in to catch the enemy in a surprise pincer. I assume they'll be heading in through the front?

Wrecking Crew is to disable the Anti-Ghost wards to allow the Horde to attack, which they should do as soon as the wards are down. Until then, they could keep hidden. Except for Mamoru Chiba, he should appear during the fight with Sailor Moon and throw his signature rose at an appropriate time.

>>21115586
>>21115051
The first Strike Team breaches into the temple with phasers, silently cutting a path through the stone as the second Team and Support Platoon wait on standby in the other Al'Keshes.

The Al'Kesh swiftly find that beaming reality emitters into the temple itself is impossible, the entire structure is warded. Beaming them outside will do nothing, as the effect radius is too small.

Beneath the earth, the rest of your ghostly legion await the time to emerge.

The team readies itself to burst into the room as the Mammoth takes the shot...
>>
Shit! Secondary preparations needed to be done.

Have the fighter squadrons and Mobile Suits of the task force launch and prepare for hyperspace jump; a few minutes before the strike teams, well, strike, the ships of the task force will warp in. The Indefatigable has the locations of all defense satellites: before the task force arrives, the Inde fires photon torpedo salvoes at all satellites.

Also, the 'decoy fleet' still has hyperspace drives; we can lock in hyperspace jump coordinates using our much more accurate navigation computers and use them as huge bombs.

Aurors need to get scrying and find those anchorpoints for the wards protecting Rome; we need targets for the Wrecking Crew and the task force to hit with orbital bombardments when they arrive.
>>
>>21115757
We'll do that right now. Calm down.
>>
>>21115735
Now that the Mammoth has taken the shot, have the Strike Team 2 and the Support Team beam down and immediately begin making their way to the ritual chamber to assist the first team.

Oh shit, get Vitun into Strike Team 2; fuck, forgot to include him.

Al'Kesh 6, load up the White Mage Squads A & B, prepare to beam down the White Mage Team once the ritual is interrupted, so we can get 14 Holies on our target.

Aurors, Psions and Abjurers, get scrying and find those ward anchorpoints so that the Wrecking Crew can get started.
>>
Rolled 62

>>21115757
The aurors inform you that the wards are all part of the Temple. Blow it up to get the wards down.

Your space fleet assembles and makes the hyperspace jump, arriving in orbit around Earth and immediately engaging the planet-wide satellite network. There are far too many and far too spread out for one ship to destroy them with one salvo.
>>
>>21115757
Sure, we can use them as huge bombs, or.
Now stay with me here, Use the Decoy fleet as a fleet.
Since it is a fleet of space battlecruisers.
>>
>>21115832
>Far to many for one ship to take

I laugh in the face of numbers! Release the Gunstar!
>>
>>21115832
>one salvo
Not one salvo. Keep firing, the task force stays in a support formation.
Have the Nocturne use its drones and and the Hiigaran Battlecruiser its Fire Control Tower.
RVF-25 is to target all satellites and link firing solutions into all fighters and the point defenses of the AUH, Guardian, and Relentless. Have the Gunstar use a Death Blossom to give us breathing room.
>>
>>21115841
The Decoy Fleet is unmanned and only has autopilot.

>>21115832
Well then. Prepare to destroy the Temple.
Will having one of the MI fire a micro-nuke into the Temple not collapse the catacombs, but be enough to take out the wards?
>>
>>21115938
Your team is in the temple now.

>>21115884
What do you mean the rest are in a support formation? Who's fighting?
>>
>>21116031

The wards prevent passing through or area denial?

If passing through, find a non-structural section, blow that wall up. That'll allow our ghost army to enter.
>>
>>21116031
>task force
By support formation, I mean in a formation where they have overlapping fields of defensive fire to shoot down missiles and can support each other.

All fighters and Mobile Suits should be launched.
VF-25 and TIE Defender squadrons, Char and Crowe take out the satellites.
Nocturne launches drones in support.
R-9A and R-9C, Vic Vipers, Galaga, FIRE LEO-02 also fire on defense satellites.

Have Mouse and the Hacker Team (Sandmen, UNIT, Isel, Shadowrunner Team's Deckers, Data) ready to counter-hack if someone tries to take control of MechaGodzilla when he launches.
>>
>>21116031
Can the Aurors identify any places in the Temple in particular to destroy?
If we blow open the surface of the Temple, could the ghosts enter that way?
>>
>>21115735

Then we'll shall have to do it the old fashioned way. We'll need troops to bring lug those babies in by hand.

Maybe the Zombie Hunters to lug those things and an XCOM squad or two to cover them.
>>
Rolled 52

>>21116137
Your space forces begin cleaving through the enemy satellites as they launch barrages of missiles in response. Your carriers lose a few drones and a lot of your ships get damaged, but so far there have been no casualties. Currently you have managed to wipe out 25% of the enemy network.

>>21116059
Passing through. You begin beaming your Wrecking Crew down around Rome, civilians screaming and fleeing at the sudden appearance of heavy armor as soldiers in bizarre armor begin to engage.
>>
>>21116189
You do realize your troops are EQUIPPED with them, right?
>>
This is a bad time to mention this, but we did unlock those Sniper Joes recently, we couldve used them for ground forces to secure the entrances to the temple.
>>
>>21116226
Alright, have Strike Team 2 (with Vitun) and the Support Team beam down now and make their way towards the main ritual hall.

Once the Wrecking Crew opens up a way in, have the ghosts start to pour in. Wrecking Crew continues to tear down walls, disintegrating barriers, and using Blaster Bombs and exographic targeting scanners/micro-transporters to ambush local resistance with extreme prejudice.
>>
>>21116226
Have the VF-25's switch to long range missiles and the Fire-Leos switch to their HUNTER weapon.
>>
>>21116226

Have the RVF-25 do its job, bring up all its jamming and ECM equipment online.
>>
>>21116226
Oh shit, forgot, right before Strike Team 1 breaches, have Elaine and Lyla cast buffs on everyone in their team.
ReRaise, Haste, Shell, Wall.
>>
Just double checking, some anon in the last thread said holy would do well against chaosbringer?

Bacuase most of Agrias sword skills are of Holy element and last I recall, she was hefting a rifle...
>>
>>21116471
She also has her sword, Gurthang - The Sword of Time.
>>
>>21116471
Yes, Holy worked against Chaosbringer. He can't control Light magic, being a god of shadows.

Agrias does still have Gurthang for when she needs to show Sailor Pluto what it means to face the Time Cleaver.

Man, I wish we could hear Gurthang's thoughts.
Probably something along the lines of "Finally! Time to cut a bitch."
>>
>>21116500

Ah ok. Cause I recall she was training with a Reality Rifle in the last thread.
>>
>>21116521
So she'd have a basic training in firearms. Basically, just a side-arm.

The Mammoth's exographic scanner locates the only male form in the hall and fires its railgun, the shell teleporting just in front of where the wards begin to pierce through several layers of brick and mortar. As the cannon fires, Regina kicks down the door and your team boils into the chamber, a vast hall with a dark altar and vaulted ceiling. Around the altar stand the dark coated form of Chaosbringer, a still smoking cannon shell in his hand. Beside him are three demonic looking women, barely recognizable as a heavily mutated Setsuna Meiou, Lulu, and Kanako Urashima.

"Your enemies are right HERE!" Lyla shouts.

"...what?" Kanako asks.

"Damn it, our timing was off!" Lavian curses.

"Shut it with your jokes!" Sonya roars. "This monster was behind the rape of my world! Now is the time for KILLING!"

"You were fools to come here," Chaosbringer says, without inflection as his priestesses begin to spread out.

((I'm sorry guys, but we'll need to pick this up tomorrow. I'm wiped from so many all nighters.))
>>
>>21116609
Apparently he's just wearing sunglasses of some kind.
Which is boring.

>>
>>21116609

>kanako

I want to mount his head on a stick at the prow of AUH.

(yes, i very mad)
>>
>>21116609
Regina should fire her RD Rifle at the priestesses to depower them, while Cheryl puts up her TK Field.
Lavian and Alicia, keep Lyla and Elaine safe as they first buff the team with ReRaise, Haste, and Wall. Then turn to firing Holy after Holy at Chaosbringer.
All reality emitters to full!

Have the Mammoth continue firing, but this time switch targets to Lulu and Setsuna.

Agrias is going to need Gurthang to deal with the former Sailor Pluto.
Come, Gurthang, show this pretender what it means to cleave time!

Also, Strike Team 2 (and including Vitun) and the Support Team should have beamed down by now into the staging point. All they need to do is disintegrate walls to appear from an unexpected side of the ritual hall.

And now that the railgun shell made its way into the ritual hall, the ghosts have a way in.
>>
>>21116609

To the newly mentally scarred, what can we expect from those 3?
>>
>>21116801
Lulu has all of her black magic available.
Kanako still has her incredible disguise-in-plain-sight.
Setsuna is still the Sailor of Time but she doesn't use those powers much anymore.

Their transformations have all given them increased speed, strength, and resilience. Assume them to have the equivalent of Wired Reflexes and Subdermal Armor.

That said, we need magical defenses up, and Haste.

I think we should have Al'Kesh 5 or 7 used to get White Mage Squads A and B down there so that we can get support buffs to Strike Team 2 before they breach.
>>
>>21116870

This would be a wonderful time to have someone with MP Drain but i dont think we do.
>>
>>21116927
Screw MP Drain.

Reflect is far better.
And Elaine and Lyla should know it.
>>
>>21117006
Okay, so according to the MetaOP in the IRC, Strike Team 1 did buff up before breaching the ritual hall.

So that's Haste, ReRaise, Wall, Regen, and finally, Reflect on everyone.

Anyone know where Chibi-Usa and the Bliss thing is? If it's in Japan, we have another goal for MechaGodzilla.

>>21116792
Your Mammoth continues firing, but its camouflage is now down.

Your orders are received and the troops move to intercept their chosen prey...

>>21116226
Baneblade after Baneblade is beamed down as the guards around Rome immediately deploy to assault them. Beams of energy and high explosive splash off of the hulls of the super tanks as they fire a salvo from their demolisher cannons into the side of the Temple, destroying that wall entirely. The ghosts underneath the city let loose a wild cry of glee as they boil up from beneath the streets to stream towards the breach.

Wrecking crew continue to deploy as troops move to meet them, the area outside of the Temple turning into a chaotic firefight. Driving by unholy zeal, more than a few civilians take up dropped weapons to continue the fight, or even assault with their bare hands.

In space, the AUH detects military mobilization from pretty much all corners of the Earth.
>>
>>21117249
How long until MechaGodzilla is ready?
>>
>>21117249
I don't think we can hope to use MechaGodzilla as a distraction anymore. Perhaps better to launch him and the SY-3 now.

There are prisoners on the floating palace in Tokyo.
Specifically Yuna. We should perhaps have MechaGodzilla break in there, kill the jailors, and free the prisoners.

>or even assault with their bare hands
So yeah. I suppose we shouldn't simply fire a single photon torpedo at each staging area on the Earth, since we're supposed to be trying to not wipe all life from this planet.

Question: does the capital ship-grade reality emitter on an Al'Kesh have the range to penetrate into the ritual hall if the Al'Kesh tried to get close enough?

>>
>>21117249
Come on, ghosts, get in here!
Here's your target! Here's the one you want!

If the ghosts can get into the ritual hall, they can do a lot to help us by keeping the 3 priestesses busy while we concentrate on Chaosbringer.
>>
>>21117441

Those trying to attack us are fair game.

I say take out those facilities while they're still preparing to intercept us.
>>
>>21117589
I suppose you're right, though I don't much like it.
Full yield on photon torpedoes? All 25 megatons?

Ah, should we send down the Mikasa have it drill its way into the floating palace above Tokyo?
>>
>>21117327
With holoemitters? Another 50 minutes. Without? Anytime.

>>21117249
Agrias lunges at Sailor Pluto, the Garnet Rod materializing in her hands to block the knight's overhead cleave as Chaosbringer makes a gesture and sends Sonya barreling back to impact hard against a wall. He then twists his body to avoid the Ebon Lance sailing past him to imbed itself in a wall.

Regina manages to nail Kanako with her rifle as Cheryl erects her TK Field. The corrupted teenager collapses to a knee for a moment before standing as strength is sucked from her. Lavian and Alicia fall in to guard Lyla and Elaine as they chant.

The Mammoth fires again, but the shell goes wide as Lulu and Setsuna leap into the air, flying on dark wings as the projectile crashes deeper into the temple.

"Bright Light shine down on bloody impurity! Holy!" the Lyla and Elaine cry out as twin columns of light erupt around Chaosbringer. The dark god leaps back from the first, but the second catches his arm, causing him to hiss in pain.

"Master!" Setsuna cries out in shock.

"How DARE you..." Lulu growls, magic dancing around her claws. "Know pain! FLARE!"

A gigantic explosion knocks Lyla back and off her feet, the white mage taking a terrible wound.
>>
>>21117249
Man, I was really tired when I came up with those initial team distributions.

We still have Al'Kesh 7 in reserve, BLU Team, and the Mikasa.
What say we use the chaos to our advantage, and have BLU mount a rescue operation on the prisoners in the floating palace above Tokyo?
>>
>>21117643
"Regina! Take out that spellcaster!
"Cheryl, TK back the Ebon Lance!
"Elaine, continue Holy!
"Aeshma, cast Heal on Lyla then on Sonya!
"Sonya, you've got to take out that spellcaster!
"Agrias, keep Setsuna from using her time powers.
"Mammoth Tank, continue with barrages to allow the ghosts more ways into the ritual hall!"
>>
>>21117643
As Lyla falls back, Kanako jumps forward and grapples Regina, baring fangs and biting the agent. Regina gives a grunt of pain as the skin around the bite-marks slowly turn a shade of black.

Chaosbringer gestures at Elaine and clenches a fist. The white mage's heart bursts in a moment, the woman falling lifeless to the floor only to be brought back a moment later thanks to ReRaise.

"I have sensed your presence for days now," he coldly states. "I want you to know that when all of you are dead or my slaves, it is your ships that will carry my salvation to the rest of creation. Only that great service to me makes this sin against me forgivable."

Then a flood of angry ghosts bursts through the collapsed wall.

((NOW I'm going to bed.))
>>
>>21117704
Esuna on Regina to cleanse the taint, Recast Reraise on Elaine.
>>
>>21117712
Forgot Setsuna's action.

Setsuna knocks Gurthang aside and attempts to grab Agrias by the throat, but the swordswoman grabs her by the wrist to stop her. Unfortunately, this leaves her open for a brief moment and the priestess darts in and bites at her neck. She takes a shallow to her wing as Agrias brings her sword around again, but withdraws laughing. Agrias grabs a part of her neck and starts breathing heavily as the skin slowly begins to turn yellow.
>>
>>21117643
>>21117712
>>21117749

All that on a 33? Fuck we need backup from the wrecking crew.

Anyone knows what the bites do? I'm tempted to try to shoot Agrias and Regina with the Reality Rifle. It shouldnt do anything to them and it might neutralise the poison.
>>
>>21117712
Because I am fool, I didn't note Reflect. Instead of Lyla, it is Lulu who gets hit, blasted off her feet and left with a nasty burn splashed across her chest. She groans in pain and rage and begins to stand once more.

Okay, the nanite immuno-booster shot has given us 5 turns to try to fix this mess we find ourselves in.
Reflect is on all members of Strike Team 1, so we can't use Esuna. Heal is also likely to be reflected.

HOWEVER!
Aeshma has scrolls of Heal and Mass Heal; spells cast via items and arithmeticks are NOT reflected.
We can have her use the scrolls on Agrias and Regina.

Cheryl still uses her TK to pull the Ebon Lance back, Elaine and Lyla (triggering both of her special abilities) hits with Holy again, Sonya takes out Kanako, and since Lulu is trying to get back up, Mammoth Tank, give her a lovetap from your railgun.
>>
Next round, we're going to have Aeshma cast Mass Heal on the entire room.

It's cast from an item which will ignore Reflect. It cures diseases so it should cleanse everyone in the room, including Chaosbringer's Lieutenants.

It also acts as a Harm against undead, which considering he's shadow based, should count.

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/h/harm
>Harm charges a subject with negative energy that deals 10 points of damage per caster level (to a maximum of 150 points at 15th level). If the creature successfully saves, harm deals half this amount. Harm cannot reduce the target's hit points to less than 1.

So, have fun Chaosbringer.
>>
>>21117643
I think the Abjurers are still on the ship. If so get them to MechaGodzilla and have them cast Seeming on him. The spell discription doesn't list a maximum sized covered, just that the creatures have to be within 25 Feet + 5 Feet per level and lasts for 12 Hours.

>You make yourself—including clothing, armor, weapons, and equipment—look different. You can seem 1 foot shorter or taller, thin, fat, or in between. You cannot change your body type. Otherwise, the extent of the apparent change is up to you. You could add or obscure a minor feature or look like an entirely different person.

That, with the few holoemitters we have installed installed should allow him to pass as Godzilla.
>>
>>21118193

Might also consider the Astral Deva special ability, "Holy Word". It might not be strong enough to cause blindness in them or instant death, but causing deafness to them grants a penalty to spellcasting time and/or a chance of failure in D&D terms.
>>
>>21118206
Planning on it. We'll also use Holy Aura to grant protection.

Hopefully, though, the Heal spell works. If it doesn't cleanse them, Holy Word may work on the virus in them instead of just them ending the possession. I don't think it'll do much against Chaosbringer.
>>
>>21118206

Doesn't holy word only work on those who are of a lower level than the caster?

Fuck that, we've got a ghost on his tail, and we're going to beam him out ASAP. Also, he's a fucking ninja, he can last an hour and ten minutes.
>>
Uggg... I found that blasted fanfic and just barely skimmed the first chapter of that travesty. I did get some laughs about it however, like how it states that these abomination's dried spunk is stronger then steel and how the thing that used to be Sailor Moon just hands over Chibi when chaosbringer asks like it was nothing.

Anyway, it did make me think of something, we need a backup plan. We can't just assume that roughly 3 billion ghosts are going to do him in. Remember how we took down Sapphirus? We had her look in a mirror that showed her that she wasn't really a goddess and instead was just some overweight women. ChaosBringer is the same way, he fancies himself as a god who 'liberated' women from the 'tyrannies' of men. Perhaps when he looks in the mirror he would see that he is really some fat reject who gets off on futa furry porn.
>>
>>21119966

Damn, scratch that. The reasion why the mirror worked so well on Sapphirus is that it was stated that her weakness was herself.

Anyway, one thing we should do now is pay attention for reinforcements.
>>
>>21119966
Not to mention we need to get the SUE cure planet side for injections. Those bites im betting are going to change them.
Or we could do the Teleporter trick we used on the Auror before when he turned furry.

Cheryl? Think you could use focused telepathy blasts to shatter these girl's teeth?
>>
>>21119966

We kinda derped on the prep.

With all the ghost and the military targets around the planet and their inability to attack incorporeal targets, diverting small portions to the bases around the world would have decimated their military and reduce the response that is coming at our fleet right now.
>>
You guys think we should deploy strike team #2 to support our first team? Vitun's rerolls could be very handy here.

I also recall something about Aeshma having similar reroll abilities.
>>
In DnD terms, would Chaosbringer's strength and weakness be Negative and Positive energy respectively?
>>
>>21120515
We have orbital bombardment capability with what are essentially nukes.
Since we've cleared out the local area surrounding the task force of satellites that can engage us, we can have the Indefatigable fire photon torpedoes dialed anywhere from 10 kilotons all the way up to 25 megatons, anywhere on the planet.
Those reinforcements don't have a chance, because we can nuke them from orbit.

>>21120592
Strike Team 2 and the Support Team were already supposed to have beamed down and on their way. Though I suppose we need confirmation from MetaOP on their ETA.

>>21120926
It gets kind of weird. He has a weakness to Light Magic, but Life Magic apparently is fine.

>>21120386
It takes TIME to manufacture any SUE-Cure.
The only options we have right now, due to Reflect being on Strike Team 1, is Mass Heal scroll used by Aeshma (since item-based spells aren't reflected) or the Support Team gets there and we convert the ESH Squad into an EMH Squad and we have them try to purge the virus via targeted nanites.
>>
>>21121383
Yeah that part is odd.
In theory if we're able to cure Sailor Venus, with like... darts with the cure or whatever, she should be able to do some heavy damage, seeing as light is her element.
>>
Also there is another thing. The Only way to get a good ending here is to purify the silver millennium crystal and turn sailor moon back to normal. I am not entirely sure but in the manga Sailor moon managed to res the entire planet.
However she might not be able to do this to the other worlds.
>>
>>21121916
And to purify the Silver Millenium Crystal we need to exorcise the SUE known as Tranquility who dwells within it.
She apparently sealed Chaosbringer once before, but died at his hand, but also loves him and made sure Sailor Moon didn't resist the corruption (else I'd wager she'd have been able to shake it off).
She views Chaosbringer's methods as "harsh, but can't argue with the results" so... fuck her.
Because I most certainly CAN argue with his fucking results.
>>
I propose we send BLU team and additional assets currently on standby to rescue Yuna.
Vitun has a spell ready that "removes any lingering psychological effects of torture", so that should at minimum patch up her psyche enough to fight.
...And seeing as Chaosbringer was dumb enough to make her immortal just to make her suffer more, she could be a powerful asset.
>>
>>21122216
Well thats a good proposal.
We've plenty of XCOM troops to pull it off
Let's say some Vets of them, psi troops, and Ryu? Or should we limit it to Amazon Squads on it?
Do we know where he's placed Yuna or will we need to find her?
>>
>>21122448
G-Force will open a path.

BLU Team (minus Sniper), VP-98, VP99, Pharaoh Man, Skull Man, Ryu, The Avatar, the Hercules, Al'Kesh 5, 6, 7, MegaGodzilla (currently undergoing upgrades), the SY-3 squadron, and the Mikasa are currently on standby.

Here's what we can do:

Operation Ninja Cavalry
Al'Kesh 5, beam Ryu and the Avatar down to Strike Team 2. Ryu'll be our ace in the hole while the Avatar helps with his magic.
Al'Kesh 5 will then assist the Wrecking Crew by providing eyes in the sky, and emergency beam-out to the AUH medical bays.

Operation Prison Break
Al'Kesh 6 transports BLU Team (minus Sniper), VP-98 and 99, Skull Man, Pharaoh Man, 12 Securitron Mk II's, Psions, X-COM Squad. Known as Breakout Team.
Escorted by the VF-25 squadron, the Mikasa and Al'Kesh 6 will fly towards the Floating Palace above Tokyo.
We have the Aurors scry for Yuna's location.
The Hercules will begin construction of YVH Droids on 2 of its launchpads, and Phoenix attack helicopters armed with Scalpel machine guns, Longbow missiles, deflector shields, and Soulchips on the other two.
Al'Kesh 7 will provide dedicated beaming from the Hercules to the Mikasa. Phoenix gunships will provide protection for the Mikasa, YVH droids are beamed in to the Palace to provide support for the Breakout Team. If there are anti-teleport wards, they beam to the Mikasa and then board over to the Palace.
Hopefully MechaGodzilla and the SY-3 squadron can open a path for the Mikasa.
We have the Mikasa drill a hole into the Palace near where Yuna is located.
The Breakout Team beams in, VP-98 and 99 lead them to Yuna, with Securitrons providing support and taking point. YVH droids arrive as support when created.
They find Yuna, break her out, and retreat back to the Mikasa and the waiting Al'Kesh 6 for extraction, freeing any prisoners that they can along the way.
>>
>>21122644
Operation Prayer
The Farseers attempt to contact Tsunami, and convince her that the memories Sasami has have been doctored, and that if she's going to break out, now is her only chance.

Operation Mending Gear
All Hiigaran Support Frigates deploy and begin hull repairs on the Task Force.
The Spirit of Triumph continues resourcing operations in the asteroid belt to fuel repairs and unit construction.
Hiigaran Battlecruiser uses its long-range Heavy Ion Cannon, assisted by targeting data from the RVF-25 and defense grid location data from the Indefatigable, and engages and destroys the remaining defense grid from beyond their sensor range.

Currently in the fight:
Strike Team 1:
Mammoth Tank targets Lulu and fires.
Cheryl TK-pulls the Ebon Lance back to us.
Aeshma uses Scroll of Mass Heal.
Lavian protects Aeshma while the spell gets cast.
Lyla and Elaine cast Holy on Chaosbringer again.
Sonya, if she can get up, engages Kanako.
Alicia makes sure nothing stops Lyla and Elaine from their casting.

Strike Team 2:
Get there as fast as possible and get into the fight.
Tosh and Finalon provide fire support.
Darius, Star-Lord engage Setsuna.
Spike, Douglas, Falco, James, Fox fire on Lulu if she isn't down yet, otherwise fire on Kanako.
Cpl. Shephard is free to engage as he sees fit.
Vitun will cast Shield of Law (http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/s/shield-of-law) when the arrive, then supports with his luck powers.

Support Team:
Get there as fast as possible, provide support fire.

Addendum to Operation Ninja Cavalry:
Al'Kesh 5 will also take up Bruce, equipped with a spare Reality Emitter Mk. II, hard-suit, Crossfire assault rifle (Mass Effect Canon gun), photon grenades, and a squad of Emergency Medical Holograms with Starfleet medkits, especially nanit immuno-boosters.
Beam Bruce and the EMH Squad along with the Avatar and Ryu.
Bruce and the Avatar will link up with Strike Team 2, the EMH Squad with Support Team, and Ryu will also get there but be his sneaky ninja self taking out targets as opportunity presents.
>>
>>21122837
Speaking of Vitun, there are some spells he has ready that we could try on the Chaosbringer.
Spell Vulnerability
Transmutation
Level: Cleric 4, sorcerer/wizard 3
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 round
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: One creature
Duration: 1 min./level
Saving Throw: Fortitude negates; see text
Spell Resistance: No
This spell reduces the subject’s spell resistance by 1 per caster level (maximum reduction 15). This reduction can’t lower a subject’s spell resistance below 0.
The target of the spell takes a penalty on its saving throw equal to your caster level.

This one ignores spell resistance, so that's a bonus.

And might leave Chaosbringer more susceptible to
Vulnerability
Transmutation
Level: Asn 4, Clr 5, Sor/Wiz 5
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Touch
Target: Creature touched
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: Yes
This spell lowers the subject’s damage reduction by 5 points (to a minimum of 5). For instance, if you successfully cast vulnerability on a dragon with damage reduction 10/magic, its damage reduction becomes 5/magic.
For every four caster levels beyond 11th, the subject’s damage reduction lowers by an additional 5 points: 10 at 15th and 15 at 19th.
>>
>>21123274
The best bet would be to try getting this spell off:
BEWILDERING MISCHANCE
Enchantment (Compulsion) [Mind-Affecting]
Level: Adept 5, cleric 5, shugenja 5
Components: V, S, DF
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft. /2 levels)
Target: One living creature
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: Yes
Your deity's laughter rains down on your suddenly clumsy foe. Bewildering mischance causes extreme bad luck to befall the target. For the duration of the spell, the subject must roll each saving throw, attack roll, and skill check twice, keeping the lower of the two rolls.

Since we use a 1d100 system, by transitive property, the lower of the two rolls for Chaosbringer would be the higher of two rolls for us right?
>>
>>21123328

As for Vitun, I'd suggest

GREATER VISAGE OF THE DEITY
Transmutation [Good]
Level: Cleric 9
Components: V, S, DF
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal
Target: You
Duration: 1 round/level
As lesser visage of the deity, except that you take on the qualities of a half-celestial or half-fiend (see the Monster Manual for complete details). You do not gain the spell-like abilities of these creatures.
Your creature type changes to outsider for the duration of the spell. Unlike other outsiders, you can be brought back from the dead if you are killed in this form.
Good clerics undergo the following transformations:
• You grow feathered wings that allow you to fly at twice your normal speed (good maneuverability).
• You gain +1 natural armor.
• You gain low-light vision.
• You gain resistance 10 to acid, cold, and electricity.
• You gain immunity to disease.
• You gain a +4 racial bonus on saving throws against poison.
• You gain damage reduction 10/magic.
• You gain spell resistance 25.
• You gain the following bonuses to your ability scores: +4 Str, +2 Dex, +4 Con, +2 Int, +4 Wis, +4 Cha.

Mostly for the disease immunity, but also because it's cool.
>>
>>21123336
In addition, maybe try
PACT OF RETURN
Necromancy
Level: Cleric 7, Spite 7
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal
Target: You
Duration: 1 hour/level
This spell allows you to establish the conditions whereby you will be brought back to life upon your death.
When you cast pact of return, you must state either a specific creature or a set of specific circumstances that you expect will be responsible for your death at some point within the spell’s duration. If you name a creature, that creature does not have to deal the deathblow to trigger the release of the spell, but it must play an active part in your demise. If you name a set of circumstances, those circumstances must be reasonably specific or the spell will fail, leaving you well and truly dead.
An acceptable set of circumstances would be, “I expect energy draining to play a pivotal role in my demise,” whereas an unacceptable set would be, “I expect to die from loss of hit points.” The DM decides whether the terms are acceptable.
Whether the subject of your demise is a specific person or a specific source, you must die (that is, reach –10 hit points or lower) for the spell to take effect. If you do, and the circumstances of your demise are similar enough to those described when you cast the spell (DM’s discretion), you are instantly resurrected (see page 272 of the Player’s Handbook) with no level loss.
You can have more than one pact of return active at the same time, each one to be triggered by a different foe or set of circumstances, but you must keep track of the total time that has elapsed for each. A pact of return that has not yet taken effect is still a magical effect (and a powerful necromantic one, at that), which can be dispelled by one who detects its presence.

Yea I know that. What is funny is that when she first appears she says "Queen Serenity didn't approve of what you are doing at first but since you are so happy being a futa nympho bunny monstrosity, she has decided that's ok for you to work with Chaosbringer."

Thinking about it, when/if we kill Chaosbringer.
...

>>
>>21124431
...Yeah, this whole situation is fucked.
Maybe having Ghost Force Recon kill everybody is actually the more merciful option?
>>
>>21124505

Well, I do have sort of a plan if killing Chaosbringer only cuts the mind control and everyone alive starts committing mass suicide when they realise things like that their male loved ones are dead, they have been living a perverse lifestyle for so long which includes licky things like incest or their forms have been twisted into something unnatural.

1. Get ghost squad to find their immediate loved ones or failing that, scare people into not taking their lives.
2. Find and secure Queen Ecstasy and the Obsidian Crystal.
3. Purge Tranquility.
4. See if Queen Ecstasy/Sailor Moon can fix this situation with the purified silver crystal.

I probably won't work. The dice will cause us to fumble somewhere along the way.

I was considering, instead of using Ryu Ninja as cavalry, grabbing Hiryu and having Hiryu and Ryu Ninja infiltrate the Sky Castle. The Confederate Marines, the two Drone squads, the Delta Green Squad, SCP Squad, Aurors, White Mage Squad A & B, 378 Securitron Mk. II's, M270 MLRS, Slippy, Peppy, Von Luckner MBT's, the Leopard dropship, and the Overlord dropship.

Addendum to Operation Prison Break:
Add 1 squad of Droids, Confederate Marines, 150 Securitrons, Delta Green Squad, SCP Squad, Aurors, White Mage Squad B to the Breakout Team.
The Securitrons will be on the Mikasa, and will fan out and secure a beachhead once the Mikasa drills in. The Delta Greens' Mass Rifles and the Aurors should provide heavy firepower to the Breakout Team, and the White Mages can provide healing and raising in case anyone gets wounded or killed.

Addendum to Operation Ninja Cavalry:
Add White Mage Squad A to the reinforcements.
We can send down the Von Luckners to provide additional armor support. The M270's and 150 Securitrons to go to the Mammoth Tank and set up to fire into the Temple (avoiding where our Strike Teams and Support Team are where they're going) and a defensive perimeter, respectively.
Use the Overlord to bring the Von Luckners and the Securitrons to the location of the Mammoth.

Addendum to Strike Team 1:
Aeshma uses her called reroll ability and Tactical Expertise ability when she uses her Scroll of Mass Heal (roll twice and take the better of the two, and +20 on a d100 roll respectively).

We can have the Indefatigable fire photon torpedoes at each of the military staging areas from orbit, dialing each torpedo to 10 megatons, as part of Operation Mending Gear, if you guys want.
However, that goes against the intention of this entire battle, which is to attempt to do this as bloodlessly as possible.

We don't want to use an EMP in Rome because a lot of our forces are there and could be affected.

Lyla recasts Reraise on Elaine as Aeshma chants aloud from a scroll of Mass Heal. The powerful enchantment wipes away the infection on Agrias and Regina, allowing them to regain their footing as Cheryl pulls the Ebon Lance back to the ground.

Sonya attempts to bum rush Kanako as the tank fires again. Lyla just flips Chaosbringer the bird and tries to hit him with another Holy.

All of the actions are made somewhat difficult by the sheer mass of angry ghosts pouring into the room.

Elaine should be recasting Reraise on herself, sorry for the mixup.

Sonya tackles Kanako away from Regina and deals her a wicked slash with the Orange-II, slicing off her wing at the joint and causing her to wail piteously. She stumbles back for a moment, dazed with pain, and that is all the time the swarming ghosts in the room need to overbear her. Her form vanishes underneath the mass of undead as her screams of pain echo throughout the room.

Setsuna is pulled off Agrias by the ghosts as well, who claw and bite, drawing out her life essence. The demonic priestess snarls and hisses ferally as she infuses the Garnet Rod with magic, blasting the ghosts around her to dust. More and more keep coming though, giving Agrias some breathing room after her close call.

Lulu does the same, her attention diverted from the heroes in front of her to the masses of ghosts in all direction. After a few seconds of desperate fighting and casting, she takes to the air, several wounds that do not regenerate present on her stony skin.

Chaosbringer howls in pain as Lyla scores a direct hit with her enhanced Holy, burning away a good deal of the dark one's skin and fusing his dark glasses to his face. He does not reply, instead snarling and sending a wave of dark energy in all directions that destroy all the ghosts in the room and severely wound the entire party. More ghosts flood in, however, an no one dies from the magical attack.

Then Lulu's head explodes as the Mammoth finds its mark. Her body falls to the ground, twitching as a few ghosts rush over to sup at her ebbing life force.

The Second strike team arrives at this time, just as a group of soldiers bursts in from another door, a snake-like Yunalesca at their head.

"Fools!" she hisses. "That is not dead that can eternal lie! You have sealed your doom!"

The soldiers surge forward as Yunalesca begins casting.

Next round, both Aeshma and Vitun cast the spell <Holy Aura>

A brilliant divine radiance surrounds the subjects, protecting them from attacks, granting them resistance to spells cast by evil creatures, and causing evil creatures to become blinded when they strike the subjects. This abjuration has four effects.

First, each warded creature gains a +4 deflection bonus to AC and a +4 resistance bonus on saves. Unlike protection from evil, this benefit applies against all attacks, not just against attacks by evil creatures.
Second, each warded creature gains spell resistance 25 against evil spells and spells cast by evil creatures.
Third, the abjuration protects the recipient from possession and mental influence, just as protection from evil does.
Finally, if an evil creature succeeds on a melee attack against a creature warded by a holy aura, the offending attacker is blinded (Fortitude save negates, as blindness/deafness, but against holy aura's save DC).

The Mammoth takes aim at Yunalesca and fires, but its crew notes a group of aircraft approaching it at high speed, some sort of mechanical giant turtles.

The Lance floats in front of Cheryl, responding to her telekinetic manipulations as she aims it at Chaosbringer.

A firefight breaks out as your other troops lay into the reinforcements.

"Let's make this interesting," Chaosbringer says, drawing energy to him.

Aeshma then casts Holy Aura, shielding the group with the essence of pure good.

It has been said by MetaOP that:
1. The Support Team will not fit within the Main Ritual Hall while there are ghosts.
2. The ghosts we have are generally WoD spectres. As such they have energy drain as well as physical damage. The energy drain is an automatic effect if you try to pass through a ghost.
3. The energy drain will FUCK droids and holograms, draining their power sources.

So!
Order HK-50 to take the Support Team and loop around the Ritual Hall and hit the enemy soldiers from the side.
Leave behind 1 ESH to operate the Portable Holo-Emitter, which will generate a defensive wall to provide our Strike Teams with cover from the enemy soldiers.

The Mammoth's railgun catches the side of Yunalesca, opening a large wound in her side, but failing to kill her as the large tank begins to swing around. The incoming aircraft are moving too fast for the exographic module to track, so instead a salvo of missiles erupts from the twin launchers on the turret.

As Yunasleca is about to complete her spell, the Avatar holds up a hand.

"An Ort," he states. Yunalesca's spell immediately fizzles, energy sparking away in her hands. She scowls.

"Wretch! Let's see if you... What? What is this? What have you done!" the she-demon screams in fury as she attempts to begin spell after spell only to see them all fail in the first few moments of casting. The Avatar smiles.

"Reminded you that magic is a tool, naught more. And like all tools, it can be taken away from you," he states, calmly approaching. "Do you yield?"

Yunalesca hisses and springs forward, claws bared.

Between the ghosts and the fire coming from Bruce, Spike, Douglas, the StarFox team, and Shepard, the soldiers that had arrived to support their god were overwhelmed in a matter of minutes, only a few minor wounds a mark of their passing as Shepard finishes the last by launching a pair of grenades from his modified MP-5.

The rockets from the Mammoth manages to catch and damage one of the strange machines, but the rest retaliate with a virtual wall of missiles, tearing apart the Mammoth in a matter of seconds. As the tank detonates, the turtle squadron turns towards the city proper.

Cheryl's eyes narrow and the Lance flies true, impaling Chaosbringer in the chest and driving through him, leaving a sickly wound spurting black blood. The dark god scowls at Cheryl.

"You foolish child... Why are you fighting for them? With all you've seen... You must know I am right," Chaosbringer murmurs, clutching his wound. "There is no saving man. They bring death and suffering wherever they go. They are a twisted and perverse creature, unworthy of life. Look at how peaceful my world was until you came here, man MUST die."

Cheryl's eyes seem to flash with quiet fury.

"...My father was the best man I ever knew," Cheryl softly says. "He raised me by himself, worked hard so we could have a life... and even descended into hell itself to save me. Even if every other man I'd ever met was what you claim they are, for the sake of his memory alone, I'd cast you down." Her voice rises in force and volume as psychic energy dances around her. As your Wrecking Crew redeploys around the temple to cut off any soldiers that make it through the swarm, the spectral horde sweeps through the city, massacring anyone that dares take up arms.

Scans of the barrier indicate it is strong enough to withstand any bombardment, but is temporary.

Yunalesca falters in her charge as Tosh fires several gauss accelerated rounds through her, Finalon joining the assault with his bow. The unnatural physiology of the mutant enables her to endure the attacks for not, but with the amount of blood she is losing, it is only a matter of time.

Gunfire explodes around Setsuna as she darts around in the air, Darius and Star-Lord attempting to shoot her down as Agrias calls on Gurthang's power and imbues herself with a Haste effect. The High Priestess spins the Garnet Rod around and calls forth words in a guttural, dark tongue. Several black orbs appear around the battlefield.

A storm of pure primal psychic power erupts from Cheryl, destroying the temple around the combatants and tearing apart Setsuna, Yunalesca, what enemies were left in the temple, and battering Chaosbringer into the ground. When the smoke clears, all of your troops are untouched, and the only enemy left within the barrier is a withered and burnt Chaosbringer, looking almost like a skeleton of ash. A few shreds of his black coat still cling to his body. The dark glasses covering his eyes suddenly shatter, empty eye sockets set with red points of light beneath them. The dark god howls as he pulls himself to his feet.

"Good..." he hisses. "Not good ENOUGH! I'll make you watch the fates of your comrades first."

The black orbs around the room suddenly flare with light and expel the rest of the mutated Sailor Scouts. They seem horrified at what they find.

"The Temple..." Venus murmurs.

"Chaosbringer!" wails Usagi, rushing to his side. "What have they done to you?"

"A futile gesture, nothing more," he murmurs as he raises a hand to the heavens. "Say goodbye to your friends."

Incredible pain sears through each of the male strike force members as their internal organs begin to seize up and in some cases melt.

The StarFox team is slain yet again, collapsing one by one as Finalon utters a strangled gasp, convulsing before falling. Darius jumps to Star-Lord's side and brandishes Ringil before them, a bright light shining from the blade.

"Come on, old friend," Darius murmurs, putting a gauntlet-clad hand on Star-Lord's shoulder as both are beset with pure agony. "You wouldn't be so cruel as to make me plan the tactics for this lot by myself?"

"Yeah... I guess that'd be too much..." Peter Quill coughs, offering the space marine a weak smile. "..even for me."

The two cough up a lot of blood, but remain alive after the magic fades.

Douglas collapses, clutching his chest, face clenched in agony.

"Douglas!" Cheryl screams. Her cry is drowned out as a great ghost bear emerges from Douglas' chest, bellowing a challenge as Douglas falls unconscious. The detective still lives, however.

Tosh utters a pained scream, clasping the sides of his head as his skull begins to distort and horrifically bulge. Finally his head explodes like a ripe watermelon and he falls to the floor, body shaking a little.

Have Vitun use his next turn to cast Miracle.

A miracle or a Wish spell can retcon the last round to help us.

>Undo misfortune. A wish can undo a single recent event. The wish forces a reroll of any roll made within the last round (including your last turn). Reality reshapes itself to accommodate the new result. For example, a wish could undo an opponent’s successful save, a foe’s successful critical hit (either the attack roll or the critical roll), a friend’s failed save, and so on. The reroll, however, may be as bad as or worse than the original roll. An unwilling target gets a Will save to negate the effect, and spell resistance (if any) applies.

>>
>>21131096
Ooh, how about this one?
Righteous Smite
Evocation [Good]
Level: Cleric 7, exalted arcanist 7, Wrath 7
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Area: 20-ft. radius spread
Duration: Instantaneous
Saving Throw: Will partial; see text
Spell Resistance: Yes
You draw down holy power to smite your enemies. Only evil and neutral creatures are harmed by the spell; good creatures are unaffected.
The spell deals 1d6 points of damage per caster level (maximum 20d6) to evil creatures (or 1d8 points of damage per caster level, maximum 20d8, to evil outsiders) and blinds them for 1d4 rounds.
A successful Will saving throw reduces damage to half and negates the blinding effect.
The spell deals only half damage against creatures that are neither good nor evil, and they are not blinded. They can reduce that damage by half (down to one-quarter of the roll) with a successful Will save.

Just a side note, but if killing Chaosbringer does not restore people's normal loyalties / memories, we should try a mass spell of some kind using the Mirror as an additional focus. I think it could at least help reveal to people what they were and what they have become if the change to their minds remains after Chaosbringer.

Vitun begins casting his miracle as twin pillars of Holy light burn into Chaosbringer from Lyla and Elaine.

"Target!" Regina shouts, firing her Reality Disruptor Rifle as Alicia and Lavian join in, the beams sapping Chaosbringer's power even further.

"Righteous Desna, spin your snare around this one, let him be consumed by the consequences of his actions..." Aeshma prays, Tugging the Strands of Fate against the dark god.

Okku roars with utter fury, reality itself seeming to shake under his rage as space explodes around Chaosbringer and his minions. The Megidola spell manages to blast off one of Chaosbringer's withered limbs as Okku puts his whole being into the technique.

Sonya dashes over for the Ebon Lance and grabs it from where it lay, turning and tossing the spear into Chaosbringer. The Lance sticks in his chest, flaring with power.

"Do it! Squad, on my target! Blades, encircle and attack all at once after ranged barrage!" Shepard shouts, bracing himself and firing a stream of hyper-accelerated rounds from his upgraded M249. The weapon perforates the villain's chest and tears apart even his bones. Spike's own assault rifle joins Shepard's, tearing up more of the body. "NOW!"

Vitun's reroll cancels out the 5, Flash of Insight 25+18= 43 for Miracle.

Vitun pleas with Desna for her intervention and Finalon, Tosh, and Fox McCloud's corpses glow and reassemble themselves, restoring those three to life.

Darius, Agrias, and Star-Lord spread out around Chaosbringer, raising their swords high. Just as the blades are about to land, the dark god breaks free of the spell turning and grabbing Star-Lord's wrist with one hand and Darius' with the other.

"No." he quietly says as he breaks Star-Lord's wrist by clenching his hand. Darius is made of sterner stuff, his wrist is only deeply bruised by the assault. Agrias however, is behind the dark one, and he does not have a third hand.

"FOR IVALICE!" she roars, swinging Gurthang up to slice cleanly through Chaosbringer's torso. The dark god does not cry out, but utters a low groan as scores of tentacles burst from both halves of his body where the sword cleaved him. Star-Lord and Darius manage to escape Chaosbringer's grip and step back as Agrias nimbly does the same with a leap.

"I bring Chaos," the dark god mouths, his form beginning to shift and mutate. "And Chaos will have you!"

Aeshma, use her once per day Heal to repair Star-Lord's wrist.

Vitun, cast Righteous Smite with Flash of Insight and Reroll.

Regina, Lavian, Alicia, fire RD rifles at Chaosbringer again.

Spike, grab an RD Rifle off of Lyla or Elaine, and use that against Chaosbringer.
You too, Shephard.

Okku, another Megidola if you can.

Lyla and Elaine, another round of Holy.

"No..." the Avatar states, luminous eyes narrowing. "He is a pale shadow, raging at that which casts it."

"Your words will not save you," Chaosbringer states, glaring at Vitun. "Nor will your pathetic goddess."

A storm of dark energy erupts around Vitun, the cleric weathering it with a clenched face. He does not scream even as the magic bites deeply into his being, leaving him barely alive. Agrias and Darius attempt to attack Chaosbringer, but he skitters out of the way, super-humanly fast.

His other half melts into little more than a cluster of tentacles. That half ignores the hail of gunfire directed at it as it closes the distance to Cheryl and leaps upon her, holding her fast as some fluid begins to leak over her.

"I will turn your best warriors into your worst nightmares..."

The Time Stop begins to fade, your ship intercepting a transmission from Tokyo.

"He's trying to escape! Close the portal! Close it!!! Curse you, Strider Hiryu! YOU WILL NEVER LEAVE EURASIA ALIVE!!!"

Tosh and Fox do as requested, pulling a pair of grenades out and tossing them at Chaosbringer. The dark god catches both and throws them back at the two. Fox is knocked out by the explosion as Tosh suffers heavy damage, saved only by his Spectre encounter suit.

Lyla and Elaine summon another Holy, but the dark god dodges both shots as he mouths another spell. The Reraises scattered around the group are rent asunder by a brute force blast of chaos magic into the ether.

Some of Cheryl's skin begins to turn a deep black as the liquid coats her.

"Embrace it. Join your sisters and bring my utopia of perfect pleasure to all corners of existence."

"That shit..." Cheryl grits her teeth. Her skin slowly returns to normal. "Is fucking..."

Cheryl's TK-field expands outward, sending Chaosbringer flying through the air just as the Sailor Senshi come to.

"Kill the men!" Mars roars as the Sailor Scouts enter the fray, Jupiter and Uranus drawing big swords from their backs. The rest begin to charge up their rings.

A vicious melee breaks out as your troops attempt to fight off the mutated Scouts and land a finishing blow on Chaosbringer, whose halves dart around the battlefield with speed that should be beyond the disgusting things.

Lyla and Elaine manage to raise Bruce and James, while Falco is raised by Aeshma. Vitun burns his scroll of Mass Heal just in time to avoid a few more deaths as the Sailors slice into your ranks, dealing grievous injuries. It has the side effect of wiping away infection in a few unlucky females to get bitten.

Your troops that were surrounding the temple have formed a perimeter around your battleground, but are having trouble supporting you with all the chaos. Occasionally one sees an opportunity and fires. A large group of Security Holograms attempt to join the melee and overbear Jupiter only to be annihilated by a lightning blast that takes out their mobile emitters.
>>

Keep at it!

HK-50, put those assassination protocols to use, and snipe Sailor Mars!
BLU Sniper! Now's your chance! Target one of the unengaged Sailors and remove their head!

Vitun, on Chaosbringer.

Aeshma, use a Scroll of Mass Heal.

With the avatar calling this guy a false god, I think there's a good chance the Mirror of Truth would have an effect on him (maybe not as strong as with Sapph, but still something).

The YVH is fried in an instant before it can self-destruct.

BLU sniper takes a shot that goes wide as Okku bounds over to Sailor Venus.

"Sailor Love-Me Chain!!!" she shouts as a golden chain materializes and wraps itself around the God of Bears.

"This pathetic bauble won't hold me for long..." Okku growls as he strains to burst through.

Tosh attempts a Psi Blast, but through the psionic explosions hurts most of the enemy combatants, not a one of them is stunned by it.

Sailor Mars breaks through to Vitun and generates a giant blade with her Yellow Power Ring, cutting deeply into the cleric as Sailor Moon fires a violet beam at him that burns him badly.

Darius manages to intercept Uranus before she can add her sword to the assault on Vitun, but his swing goes wide, and the demonic scout parries Star-Lord's attack.

"I am the new master of this world," Chaosbringer states as Aeshma's Holy Aura is dispelled. "I have recreated in my image, your army of ghosts is just that. Ghosts. Faded remains of a lost age. All sons of old gods die!"

An amused chuckle can be heard from atop a nearby pile of rubble.
