File: 1350160430202.png-(90 KB, 300x300, Erik the Lich.png)
90 KB
You are Sir Daniel, an old hero long dead, or were, until Erik the Lich resurrected you to be his helper.

Fortunately, Erik is the laziest man you've ever known, and only wants to read erotica. But you're a good servant, and want to help your master by clearing the ladder to the top.

Last time you went on a journey with your Frenemies to the head church of Iustitiam.

Once inside you were brought down below to be interrogated by Bolorum, or the Red Death.

Due to a bureaucratic error you were sent to a magically inert room, where both yours and Bolorum's.

You delivered a pimpin' back hand that no man can experience twice.

You freed a fellow follower of Hydra, and grab a cool new helmet.

Then you staged a kidnapping and got your frenemies out, and ran like the wind.

In the forests you discovered Adrian's gender. Both.

Back in town Adrian tricked the Inquisition following you, and got them off your trail.

Just when you thought you could settle down for the evening, Steve, you apprentice, burst onto the scene.

He told you that Erik had summoned a demon to alleviate his boredom. Knowing Erik it wasn't hard to guess what kind of demon, and now it's taken to Library.

You are standing in Steve's cottage, with the frenemies and Steve.

What do you do?

Previous thread.
>>
We better go check on Erik before he sells the souls of everyone in town for a psychic blowjob or something.
>>
>>21110231
You decide that checking in on Erik is the best idea for now.

You walk through the town, noticing that no one is out on the streets. Weird.

As you reach the bottom of the hill leading to the Manor you can see the library windows illuminated by a red glow.

You walk up, frenemies and apprentice in tow.

You enter the Manor house and make your way to the Library.

"Erik? Stumbles? Rebecca? Anyone?"

>"Daniel? Oh thank goodness you're back!"

Erik comes speed walking out of a hallway.

>"Some harlot has taken my Library! Would you go do something about it?"

What do you do?
>>
>>21110267
Tell the frenemies to stay behind, we''re going in.

As a skeleton, she shouldn't be able to steal positive energy from you. Theoretically.

But first, ask Erik what he offered when he summoned it.
>>
>>21110334
"What did you offer it in return for... services?"

>"The rest of Beric, and a dress made by Stumbles. She didn't want Beric, but Stumbles' clothing got her interested. I got one from him, gave it to her, and that wench took my Library and turned it into a sex dungeon! I've been beating the men from town away with a broom, and the only thing stoping those boys of your going in there is the fear of what you'd do to them."

Seems that a punishment from you is a greater thing than a night with a Succubus. What do you make of that?

What do you do?
>>
>>21110366
Head in, full armour, get her in close for ther seduction and then BAM, no dick.

Thennnn, BAM decompression.
>>
>>21110366
Laugh uproariously at our well maintained image, in a creepy way. Then proceed to deal with the succubus the old fashioned way. Murdering her if she isn't reasonable.
>>
>>21110417
"OK, stay here, all of you, I'll go deal with it. Like usual."

You put your helmet on and buckle up your sword and shield.

>"Try not to cover my books in juices."

The image of Meryl's thorax bursting with young rears up in your mind.

You go to the Library, and open the door, step through, and close it behind you.

The room is very different to how you remember it.

There's silk curtains hanging up everywhere, and massive bed-pillows dotted about.

There's a light smoke in the air from the scented candles.

>"Oohhh... A new client..."
You hear it from behind one of the curtains. What do you do?
>>
>>21110456
Ask, quite bluntly, just what the hell is going on here, and if we need to choke a bitch.
>>
>>21110456
>>21110422
"You have to ask yourself one question, miss. Do you want to be boned, or cuddled? Makes no difference to me."
>>
>>21110456
Go to work :[ Archive it for me please :[[[[[ It's even worse that I was here for the first few minutes and now I gotta go.
>>
>>21110456
"I like what you've done with the place.

I'm Daniel, nice to meet you miss. Could I have the pleasure of your name?"
>>
>>21110495
"What the hell are you doing in Erik's library?"

>"A library? It looks more like a boudoir to me. And it's mine, not Erik's."

"Do I need to choke a bitch?"

>"Oohhh... I do love a bit of rough and tumble."

>>21110496
>"Bones? That's amusing coming from you... Seeing as how bones are all you've got, just like that master of yours. I offered him all kinds of pleasure, I was even willing to reenact stuff from his books. But he declined, saying that books were sacred and a hussy like me shouldn't mention them."

The Succubus pulls the curtain aside, and you get a clear look.

Red skin without fault on a seemingly fragile frame. On her head rests two curved horns rising up. She's smoking a long cigarette on the bed-pillow. The cloths, which are more like wound up tooth floss, are a lighter red than her skin.

>>21110545
>"Areal. I believe you've met my big brother, Azrael. Oh, he was furious about what you did. Ranting and raving about some stupid mortal foiling his plans. Nice work, if he controlled this planet, I'd have no more fun."

She blows a smoke ring at you, a lilac circle that hits your chest and dissipates.

What do you do?
>>
>>21110587
Let's just cut to the point here. What will it take to make her leave?
>>
>>21110587
"Well, I could always grab you and explode your over the room, but that'd get gibbets of flesh on all the books.

Honestly I've killed enough people this week and I don't feel like adding you to the list, at least not right now.

So Areal, what do you want out of life on this plane? Because I'm willing to help if it's reasonable, help you set up your boudoir in a place other than the library, in exchange for your expertise and knowledge of demons, contracts, yadda yadda.

Talk to me Areal, I don't want to have to kill anyone today."
>>
>>21110587
"Alas, the delights of flesh are long forsook for one of my condition. I have no wish to interrupt your reverie, but my Master commands, and so I must. Tell me, would you be willing to go peacefully? For once, I do not wish to Dance."
>>
>>21110637
>"Oohhh... Let me see... I want the head of John the Baptist, the first brick from the Great Pyramid, and the left eye of World Turtle."

Greedy wench.

>>21110650
>"Oh I know, we have satellite down in the Inferno. And you're a big entertainer. After what you did to Janus and my brother, there's betting boards on you down there. I'm rooting for you to succeed. But I know in a fight I'm not match, your God favours you far too much for my wiles to affect you."

>>21110684
>"I can service in other ways than flesh. Why else would Erik summon me? But I don't want to leave, it's far to warm down there for a woman of my complexion, and brother wont stop ranting and plotting about you. But if you find me somewhere else, I'll leave this little library."

What do you do?
>>
>>21110727
She just up and admitted that she's no match for us.
Commence with the cleaving and the smiting and the stabing and the slashing and oh lord there's blood everywhere somebody get me a rag.
>>
>>21110727
" I take delight in screwing with my opponents, not in being screwed myself."

"I can help you, maybe. This mansion holds many secrets and passages, ideal for your purposes. But not this one; this is a room of study. Even if of the corruption of minds."

"There's one condition of my own, however. You are not to tempt either my friends, my family or my apprentices. If they want to partake in the silky reverie with you, then so be it. But you must not led them astray from their path; let it be their own."
>>
>>21110727
lets set that bitch up in a nice place. CONDITIONS: men from our town can patronize the establishment WITHOUT losing their souls, in exchange they will forced to pay for services in tradtional methods of coin and items. She will be required to be at Erik's beck and call regarding anything relating to demonology and learning of concepts and practices.

In excahnge for these requiremnts we set her up in a nice place and take care of protection while she resides in our mortal coil.
>>
>>21110727
"I'm not going to get you the brick, the eye and honestly John the Baptist is far away and I don't feel like killing him.

What are you looking for in a place to live? Because I can help you with that. There's more rooms here than the library, and I really want this place to be clear so Eric can finally get some studying in, lazy fuck.

Should I help you with this there are some conditions. You don't steal or purchase any souls. You don't lead men astray with magic. You keep me up to date on happenings in the Abyss and if I have any questions on a subject you know about you answer them.

Is this acceptable?"
>>
>>21110727
Erik did obviously want her or something, see of there's a spare room on the house. Let's just remember the wonders of the Arcane Lock spell and remind to only hand the word out to select clientele.
>>
>>21110868
>"Oh yes... I know the violent history of this house. Many a sacrifice has been made to summon me and my skills. Hmm, this house is made of more blood than stone, my skeletal friend."

>>21110894
>>21110875
>"I know of a room that suits my fancy, if that is your offer, than I accept. Nothing will make me happier than to be in the company of my brother's greatest enemy."

She stands up and walks over to you, she's a big Succubus, as you have to look up to her.

>"And yes, you have another deal on the second terms too. The souls of these men in this town aren't really to my liking, anyhow. Far too set in their ideals of 'Hard work and honesty'. Wouldn't work in my devious machinations."

Do you allow the demon to set up residence in the manor?
>>
>>21110947
Remind her that we expect our pact to be held quite well in intent. Loopholes will very well mean her neck on a pole. In a way most decidedly unpleasant. We do not fuck around, so do not around fuck us.
>>
>>21110947
What kind of room are we giving her, here?
Did we just get a demonic sex dungeon?
>>
>>21110947
"So long as you follow the spirit of the agreement and not just the letter I would be just fine with you staying here.

Also, you said earlier that you could service in ways other than flesh? What did you mean by that?"
>>
>>21111035
yes i would like elaborations on that.
>>
>>21110999
>"Oh my dead deary, I'm a demon. Contracts are our currency. You have my word, take it as you will."

>>21111027
>"There's an old maid's chamber on the east wing Erik's forgotten about. I'll resign to that. But if men seek my services, you must allow them to use them. Not for their souls, but for a price, one I'll have a little think about."

>>21111035
>"Well, like most meta-physical beings I don't have to affect the world in a physical manner. I can use my mind to bring pleasure, no sticky mess that way. It's usually the one chosen by some naughty priests with too much time on their hands, or fellows like Erik."

She smiles down at you, cigarette smoke escaping from rows of normal looking teeth, apart from overgrown incisors.

What do you do?
>>
>>21111071
"I don't mind men using your services, that's their choice.

If you interfere with my students' training though I will be rather annoyed.

So let's get you moved, we can discuss the non flesh servicing thing after we have set up your room."
>>
>>21111071
"Well, that's that then, do you need a hand moving your things? No? Cheerio then."
And walk right out.
>>
>>21111071
Put on the maid outfit and you got a deal. You know, until you inevitably try to fuck us in a way not agreed upon and we murder you ironically.
>>

>>21111106
>"Of course, my deary, no touching the boys. But I'll still tease them, from time to time, what kind of demon would I be if I didn't?

>And I don't need help, my belongings are like me, not bound by normal physics."

She snaps her fingers and all her belongings in the library disappear.

>>21111124
"Remember, if you try and fuck me over I'll make sure your death is ironic."

>"What? Penetrated by your sword?"

>>21111117
You turn and leave, taking one last look as Areal follows like her luggage and disappears.

She's most likely gone to the maid's room.

Erik is standing outside the library doors, along with several men from the village.

>"Well? Is the hussy gone?"
"Yeah, but she hasn't left the house."
>"But she's not in my library?"
"Well, yes."
>"Good work, Daniel."

Erik moves past you and into his library and gets back to his business.

>"Errm... She's still in the house? Where, exactly? Just out of curiosity..."

One of the villagers asks.

What do you do?
>>
"If you're married, go back to her before I smite you. If not, GO to church.". Wave your finger at him like he's silly. "Scram! She's a fancy lady who does fancy business."
>>
>>21111215
"Yes she is. In the maid quarters. Aren't you married?

Don't come in for a while, I'm going to pay her a visit. I think a massage is just what these old bones need."
>>
>>21111250
"Any married men, leave or I'll smite you. If not, then off to church. NOW."

You wag your finger at them like scolded children.

"Scram!"

>>21111254
You explore parts of the house you didn't even know existed and find the maid's quarters.

>"Oh, Daniel, to what do I owe this pleasure?"
She asks.
"These old bones need a massage."

She laughs and smiles.
>"Massages are for men with muscles, if you want my services, you only have to ask."

What do you do?
>>
>>21111283
well apparently we need some sort of mental release. why the hell not.
>>
>>21111283
Flex. Who needs muscles when you run on pure awesome? Ask her why she has a hate on for her brother.
>>
>>21111283
"I miss muscles. Sure I'm stronger than I used to be, but there's something nice about having them.

Considering that most of what I've been doing since I got up out of the ground is killing people and complaining about things I suppose I may as well. Should I leave the armor on or not?"
>>
>>21111319
i like this.
>>
>>21111305
Because, her brother is demon we banished earlier, that's why not. Why should we trust her?
>>
>>21111305
>"I'm not going anywhere near your mental blocks. I took a look in there earlier, and saw all the stuff you're holding back. Not a chance, my dear."

>>21111319
>"Ah, my brother thinks that the world should be his because he can conquer it. I think that we should integrate and slowly rise to power through business and trade. Much more mutually beneficial. And he's a bit of a prick."

You flex, nothing really happens, because flexing shows off muscles.

>"I'm not sure what I'm seeing here."

>>21111328
>"I miss being summoned into little villages and showing the some basic agriculture, and then being revered as a god. But, alas, times change. We are but dust to its whims. And like I said earlier, not a chance am I doing that. I've worked with soldiers and their PTSD, not a problem. But what's going on in there,"
She puts a red, slender finger on your forehead.
>"Ha! No. I like my sanity, thank you."

What do you do?
>>
>>21111382
>>"I'm not going anywhere near your mental blocks. I took a look in there earlier, and saw all the stuff you're holding back. Not a chance, my dear."
see we're that messed up that we protect ourselves!
>>
>>21111382
"Mental cocktease.". Huff in disappointment, but proceed back to business mode. "What did Erik summon you for? He may be lazy, but he's not stupid. What did he want?"
>>
>>21111382
"I know, I'm utterly fucked in the head.

So you saying you aren't going to mess around in my head, does that interfere with the services you mentioned earlier?"
>>
>>21111382
What kind of piss-poor demon can't handle the mind of one dead guy?
Erik clearly summoned from Hell's bargain bin.
>>
>>21111428
"Fucking mental, demonic cocktease..."

>"If you had the tackle to tease, my dear, then perhaps."

"Why exactly did Erik summon you, he's lazy, but not stupid."

>"Why, information, of course. He wants the locations of these others that you're hunting like animals. And I must say, I was half tempted to give it to him. With the carnage you commit, you'll probably be a Duke in the Inferno when you finally leave this mortal coil. If you leave that great snake, of course."

>>21111450
>"What's going on in there, it's like a warzone between philosophical ideas, morality and amorality and a very, very warped form of ethics."

>>21111451
>"I'm the sister of an Arch-Demon, and lord of the east hells. If you were anyone else I'd flay you for that."

What do you do?
>>
>>21111475
Oh lord, she's looking right into /tg/ itself.
We need to apologize at once.
>>
>>21111502
Apologize for nothing.
Go head on. Into adventure, and limitless gains!
For as long as we never look back, we'll be looking someplace else.
And there's usually something we can pawn there.
>>
>>21111475
"Your sense of humor is lacking, you lack a funny bone in you. Maybe I can help?". Make suggestive motions with our arm, as if fisting. Re enter serious mode. "I kill because I have to, I'm just misunderstood. Also, Hydra is the best god ever, no homo."
>>
>>21111541
Come to think of it, do we even know Hydra's gender?
Does s/he actualy HAVE a gender?
>>
>>21111475
"So, those locations. Given that you just closed the only avenue I have found for pleasure on me it seems like the only thing I have left is training the kids and murdering those fuckers. Seriously, not one little mindfuck?

You know, I used to be a tall, broad shouldered man, hundreds of pounds of pure muscle, I could just walk into a bar and be covered in barmaids.

Now I'm under a hundred pounds of bone, ladies scream when they see me, and I can't even contain my murderhobo instincts with wine and women."
>>
>>21111475
"I'm sorry. sometimes the other voices take hold and say something or other not all of us mean to. I do not know whether tis be the influence of the Many-Headed God, trauma from my past life or some other magical malaise. But it does grant me uncanny perception and ingenuity. Which, as you have seen, are used to great effect."

"In any case, it is beneficial for your long-term goals that I eliminate the raving madmen who would destroy entire villages just because they pancakes didn't come out right. The world is better off without such chaotic influences. And, when the time comes, I will find my destiny too, perhaps."

"I wish to rid the world of their great influence, to let man re-assume it's own agency upon the world. The great age of heroes and villains will soon come to an end, and I will be the harbinger crow. The reaping scythe, the executioners' sword. I am become Death, Destroyer of Worlds."

"Where is my blade needed?"
>>
>>21111502
"Yeah, being a professional killer, one that can't die, does that."

>"Oh indeed. When you get some therapy or memory suppressing drugs, we'll talk.

>>21111541
She give a light chuckle.
>"Another time, for now I don't have the time or exercises ready for that."

>"And I kill because I have to, I'm just misunderstood. Also, Hydra is the best god ever, no homo."

>"Oh I'm sure, oh yes, fuel that inner conflict going on in you. Justify the things that would make that Dolorum character shiver and revel with disgust. But it's not my place to judge..."

>"Ah, yes, Hydra.."
She says with disdain.
>"He interferes in mortal affairs more than us. Gods aren't meant to do that, but he's not really a god, though is he? No, Gods are embodiements of ideals, like hope or honour, Hydra and his ilk are very much more... Unlike the rest of the Pantheons, he actually exists on this earth."

>>21111578
>"For this pleasant conversation, I'll give you a name. Nomad, a sorcerer in the east, so I've heard. And I also heard he's been preparing for you, after hearing about this little crusade of yours. He's a little whelp, too young and too big headed. He thinks he can just take whatever he wants because he can make cows appear in thin air and give the finger to thermodynamics and the laws of conservation of mass. Be a dear and kill him for me."

She gives you a little book with details on Nomad.

What do you do?
>>
>>21111658

Hydra is here?! Oh my God I have to meet him! We can swim in chasms and save misunderstood creatures and cuddle his heads and kill badguys...
>>
>>21111720
Yeah, roughly 30 miles to the sea, and then down 40,000 feet.
>>
>>21111658
Prepare to venture East, after making sure our apprentices are capable of handling things while we're off stomping mud holes in people.
>>
>>21111658
"Great, now I have a stupid fucking kid trying to kill me and I'm going to go kill him right back.

Fun.

I'm going to oversee the training of the kids for a bit."
>>
>>21111658
Does winking at people in general cause madness?
>>
>>21111740
"I'll get right on that."

You leave Areal's room and out into the gardens, your light steps allow you to sneak up on your training apprentices.

>"I knew Master Daniel was badass, but binding a demon through an iron will? Without a sacrifice? That's hardcore."

Steve block's Gary's attack.

>"Don't forget about Kerm, he killed her Brother, singlehandedly, while on fire. That's why his armour's black."

Gary parries Steve and performs a perfect shield bash.

>"Damn I'm glad he's training us."
Steve kicks Gary in the face while he's talking.

>>21111779

Only in clarice. I support winking at Areal as we leave.

"While I appreciate your information and will be most likely be coming to you in the future, I work only for Erik."
>>
>>21111796
Right here ladies.
>>
>>21111796
Encourage Steve.
"Good call, honour will earn you nice words on your tombstone, but practicality will let you live to kill another bastard."
>>
>>21111927
You compliment Steve on his practicality.
"In an honourable duel that'll be looked down upon. In battle it'll be written on your grave. What matters is winning, not how you died with dignity."

>"Thanks, sir."

Will you go east now?
>>
>>21111952
Yes. Straight east for as long as possible.
And if there's any wall in our way, we go through it.
>>
>>21111952
Not quite yet.

"Kids, don't end up like me. Even a demon thinks I'm fucked up in the head. You ever noticed how guard dogs are much closer to the wolves they protect people from than anything else? That's what I am, I'm closer to the stupid fucks who let power get to their head than I am to the normal person.

Learn to fight, learn to survive, learn to protect what you love, and pray that my teachings are never of use to you."

Teach them a bit more, lay down some dirty fighting for them.
>>
>>21111927
"It's important that you know that in the battlefield not only swords met, but also ideals, emotions, vendettas and wills. Master your resolve, make the enemy doubt theirs. Keep your emotions in check, but let the enemy betray theirs and use them to your advantage. Play with what they hold dear, feint them, make them fall. Capitalize on the moment. Strike."

Pray to Hydra.
"Hey Hydra! I heard you live on this plane. Is it okay if I visit you some day? I'm your biggest fan and I'd love to meet you!"
>>
>>21111978
You give your little talk to them, but it falls on deaf ears. Kids these days, don't care about moral integrity, only on how man barmaids they can get and how many monsters they can kill.

>>21111977
You grab your things and begin the familiar travels that have accompanied you through your life.

You're walking down a long stretch of dirt road, fields on either side and not a single person tending to them.

After another hour you hear something coming up behind you.

You turn around and see a cart being pulled by a team of oxen.

They close up on you, the drive wears a large brimmed straw hat and chews a barely corn.

>"Evenin' son. What's a fancy man like you walking out at this time?"

>>21112020

"Heading east, I have an errand to run.

Mind if I hitch a ride on the back? I can take care of any trouble you may encounter with bandits and the like."
>>
>>21112079
>"Well I'm heading east too, just came back from the market. And there's no need to defend me, the Lord Nomad protects these lands."

You climb up besides the man and travel at a faster pace than walking.

What do you do?
>>
>>21112098
"The Lord Nomad, mind telling me more about him?"
>>
>>21112040
Bandits! Mark my words.

>>21112110
>"You ain't heard o' Nomad? Well, you really aren't from 'round here. He's a magic man who protects the people of these here lands. Any bandit or brigand is brought to him for trial and punishment. Don't know what happens to them afterwards, though."

>>21112126
>"Well Dan, I was selling my barely and malt harvest, for the brewers. My crop makes the best malt liquor in these lands, I dare say."

The rest of what follows from his never tiring mouth is a detailed description on the process of growing his plants, and harvesting them.

By the time he's finished you've arrived at his home.

It's a little cottage surrounded by fields, a few grazing animals wander about, eating grass.

>"Will you join me for dinner? Not often a man around these parts can host a knight for a night. Geddit? Knight for a night?"

What do you do?

You slowly lift the visor on your helmet.

>"Well, that's one bad skin condition. I think the doc's got a cream for that."

You explain what you are.

>"I see... Well, I'm a god fearing man, so I'm afraid I must take back my offer. No offense meant, of course."

>>21112186
"Understandable. I've got more ground to cover."

You give him a little wave and thank for the lift, then you head off once more down the road.

During the night you come to a crossroad.

Straight, left, right. Which do you take?
>>
>>21112210
Straight, why not.

Also, start thumbing through the book on Nomad we were given by Areal.
>>
>>21112210
East. Even if that means going off the road.
>>
>>21112210
>We didn't ask for directions.
Nice going guys. Might at well go straight, I guess.
>>
>>21112221
No time to deviate from the road, you go one forward.

You take the little book out and read it.

>Notes on Nomad
>Classification: Sorcerer
>Age: 25
>Height:5'7
>Additional personal description
>Nomad's attempted to grow a mustache, failed. A rather baby faced man. Thinks very highly of himself, due to magic. Believes himself to be a living god. Heard about Sir Daniel's crusade against magicals, got paranoid, then let his ego get the better of him. Believes himself to be a match against our Dancing Knight, oh boy, he's going to be surprised. Taken local Lord's castle by force. Believes he's going philanthropic acts by "punishing" local law breakers. Irregular bowel movements.

Not much else apart from a little on his history, and that's not interesting either. Just a kid who discovered he was a sorcerer, decided to take the world, by force.

You see a town in the distance, and in the center a small castle.

What do you do?
>>
>>21112269
Head to the town, that might be the lord's castle. Keep our visor down, people might have heard of the dancing knight and we don't want to tip Nomad off.
>>
>>21112269
>"punishing" local law breakers
>the man didn't know what happens to the criminals
Let's find out what this all means. It might come in handy when we're beating Nomad's head in. Or it might not.
>>
>>21112294
You put your visor down and walk into the town. Dawn will be in a few hours so no one's out and about, but you can hear a few laughs from the inn.

The castle in the center overlooks all of the town and lands around it. Heavy wrought iron gates guard the entrance.

A man as egotistical as Noman will probably be holding court in the morning, so the people can ask and beg of him.

What do you do?
>>
>>21112311
Yes, I too am curious about it. Perhaps you could impersonate a guard, if they have full helmets.
>>
>>21112269
Ironic death is calling. I vote we get him killed out of office.
>>
>>21112341
How do you plan to do that?
>>
>>21112398
Go to bar, collect information, or round up a posse from his captive subjects and let them do our dirty work. After all, what good have we done if we just murder the guy?
>>
can someone post me a tl;dr since the second thread?

Also, I'm pretty sure that Erik's books are coded
>>
>>21112341
A foolhardy plan. We'd have to deal with an enraged population then. Let there be no more death than necessary today.

Perhaps we should attend the proceedings, study the prey. Form out a plan tonight an go in for the kill tomorrow. Infiltrate his castle, await him somewhere inside. sneak stab and flee. Political turmoil would be sure to follow, naturally.
>>
>>21112428
That would explain so much.
>>
>>21112434
Why don't we see if he's wrongfully punished people, then turn the population against him?
>>
>>21112423
They wouldn't be likely to turn on him. And, if they are truly loyal, then our element of surprise would be gone. Too much at risk.

Plus, if they were willing to go with the deal, I doubt it is within our meager economical mediums to achieve.
>>
>>21112428
>Second thread
That may take a while.

>>21112423
You enter the bar. Naturally, all eyes turn on you. You pay no mind to them and sit down, and they return to their drinks.

"I'm looking for information on Nomad."
You exclaim to the general population of the bar.

>"I don't think you're gonna be welcome 'round here, boy."
The bartender says.

>"Ay, what do you plan to do with this, information?"
One of the patrons asks.

"What ever needs to be done."

There's a general nervousness in the air now. You can feel the tension rising.

>"Could you stop him? For good, I mean?"
>"Shut up you fool, Nomad's men will come for you."
>"No! I'm sick of living in fear of that bastard. If he can stop him, then more power to him!"

The little argument goes on for a while until they come to the agreement to answer your questions.

What do you do?
>>
>>21112487
"What does he consider a criminal and what does he do with them?"
>>
>>21112530
>"Anyone he don't like, wanna see what he does? Look in the sewers."
>>
>>21112487

Do you know what Nolan does to the captured "criminals"?

What was Nolan like before he "became" a Lord? Was he a decent enough guy?

What magic does he use?
>>
>>21112487
So I want to be put in contact with his chef and i will soon challenge him to open combat. If I defeat him, this settlement will become an autonomous collective who elects one person every other week to be a supreme executive ruler who's actions must be ratified by a super majority of all voters. There will be no royalty and magic will not get anyone anywhere politically
>>
>>21112539
how many bodies are down there?
or has he altered the victims in some way?
>>
>>21112487
Some of you, perhaps in irrational rage or underestimating his ruthlessness, must have raised arms against him. How did he fight?
>>
>>21112539

He turns them into rats? Are they still sapient/sentient? Do you think it's reversible?
>>
>>21112546

My finger slipped earlier.

>"I don't know what it's called, but's it's evil if I ever did see."

>>21112550
>"Sounds good, if you can pull it off."

>>21112552
>"Oh, I wish they were bodies. Atleast in death they'd get some release. What's down there is a foul mockery of life."

>>21112558
>"He just laughed, and then they were those, things, and herded down below."

>>21112573
>"Rats? Oh no my friend. Oh no."

>>
>>21112586
Transmutation magic? Hydra must be granting some resistance against that, with it's unnatural tone and all that. Still, a backstab would be a better approach maybe.
>>
>>21112586

Maybe we should check out the sewers? They might just be phsyically changed, maybe we can talk to them.

Infact, "Are they still human inside? Do they still have empathy, emotions and all that jazz? Or has their minds been changed to a monstrosity as well?"
>>
>>21112614
>"His chef? Dunno much, he's just a cook. Lives in the square like us."

>>21112591
You leave the inn and find a sewer hole. You lift the grating and drop down.

The sewers are lit by torches to burn excess gas build up.

You can't see what's so ba-

And then you do.

Things that were once men, now boneless slime creatures crawling across the walls, and floor, each of them hunting rats or eating human refuse.

You can hear a faint sobbing from all of them. What ever he did to them, he removed their mouths. They hunt by absorbing prey into them, as they have no mouths. The sobbing is just radiating from them.

One of them slithers over to you, and extends an appendage towards your sword. He wants you to kill him.

What do you do?

You lift the conch.

"Erik, there's some pitiful things down here. They look like they were once human, but they're like giant slimes now. Can I do anything for them?"

>"There are ways, but would they be better than a quick end? Even if you did return them, they'd still remember their lives as what they are now. I'm afraid I don't have the mental strength to tell you what to do."

>>21112708
>>21112709
Seems he does.

You God's voice comes from the sewer waters.

>"Daniel, what ever these things are now, know they were once men. Decide for yourself if you'll try and reverse it by removing Nomad, or give them a swift end. If you do the latter, I shall take their souls as my charge and comfort them until they are ready to move to their own gods."

>>21112733
Boom, someone sees it.

If you do reverse it, most of them will probably kill themselves anyway. I know I would. Some will soldier on, broken, but alive.

>>
>>21112751
We don't know how many of these things there are, or if we can even hurt them.
Let's move to slay Nomad first, and see if that frees them. If not, it will at least let us turn our full attention to granting them release.
>>

Quick and clean.

Maybe a dance, they at least deserve that.
>>
>>21112771

>>21112768
You give them the release of death, one by one they form lines waiting for it.

One by one you put your sword through their hearts, killing them painlessly.

Each one looks up and you as he passes from this world, each one gives a silent thank you.

They break apart upon death, dissolving back down into their primal elements.

The deed is done, each one of them is given the greatest mercy you can muster.

You feel your hatred become manifest. You charred armour grows a shade darker and the lights dim.

Things are about to get Thermonuclear levels of rage now.

You leave the sewers and the horror behind, and go up to the streets.

There are people moving about in the streets, heads hung low and voices hushed.

You march to the castle like the specter of death.

The guards that try to stop you suddenly think twice about it and get out of your way.

You push open the main door that leads to the throne room.

You see Nomad, sitting on a great wooden throne enameled with gold.

He's eating grapes while judging more criminals in chains. One of them is a boy no older than 12.

He sees you.

You march towards him like a glacier, slow, but unstoppable.

Nomad tries to move, tries to run. But after meeting your eyes, he knows his time on this earth is up.

He begins to whimper and sob, and begs for mercy, saying he's sorry. No words can stop the flood of hate that's spewing out of you now.

You step closer and closer. The light in the world goes out a little, only to be replaced 10 fold with the fires of your rage.

You ascend the steps to the throne, passing by the bound prisoners. They avert their eyes, as to not bring the god of death down upon them.

Every atom in existence freezes from the heat sucking cold wrath burning in your soul.

You extend a bony hand out.

>"Please... No..."
"Is that what they said?"

You slowly push your hand through his guts, and up until you grab his rapidly beating heart.

"Find forgiveness in death, for there is none here."

You decompress him. The decompression, which is multiplied by your rage, sends bits of him scattered across the great hall.

There's a Rorschach blood blot on the chair, it resembles a skull, you thing.

What do you do?

So much potential, wasted. You could have wrestled with the Gods of magic, drowned in the murky waters of the deep inly to come out stronger. Filled this world to the brim with life and pleasure, made this reality your bitch. But instead, what did you choose but to squander your talents in naught but the most predictable and sadistic way possible? You are no godling, you are but a mortal with shiny toys. You could have been so much, yet choose to be so little.

Your scream of rage shakes the earth, somewhere in Kerm the scholars are wondering what someone did to piss you off again.

You grab each chain and shatter it like it was made of daisies.

>>21113228
OH SHIT SON. HERE COMES THE FURY.

Your rage tears a hole in reality and you see him. Nomad is there in the inferno, but the tortures aren't enough. Nothing will ever be enough for that little shit.

You stare through the tear in reality, the demons of the pit back away slowly from their target, knowing not to get in your way.

>"No...No... You've already killed me! Wasn't that enough?"

"There is no enough."

You decompress his soul. Scattering it throughout all of reality. Every moment for all eternity for Nomad will be one of pain and unimaginable agony as he futilely tries to bring himself together.

He will never know peace, or rest. Just pain.

Reality closes again and you leave that wretched place.

What i'm mildly concerned about is that news of our deeds against this low level guy will spread and the smarter dudes will armor up even more.

The first couple of guys we took out with pretty low key methods, these last few have been balls to the walls awesome are we using all our best moves on people who dont deserve them?
>>
>>21113396
>don't deserve them
I think tearing reality apart to make this man suffer was entirely deserved.
>>
>>21113333
>"A town? Daniel, I can just about run this house."

Nomad has no books on magic, just children's stories. He thought himself too good for study, as he was a god.

Each of the prisoners tells you why they were locked up. Most of it is refusing the recognize Nomad as their god, a few for attempting a political coup. Nomad was doing it to people who wouldn't worship him, or thought against his actions.

>>21113316
You don't actually sleep.
>>21113317
No sound is uttered from the town, or anywhere in 100 miles.
Apart from your whistle as you walk home.

>>21113324
You leave everyone in your wake.

>>21113337
Nomad had no books on magic, or anything other than aristocratic cloths.

>>21113343
Areal hears from her friends in the inferno about a human breaking down the walls between reality and blowing a soul, something thought to be indestructible, apart. She's glad she didn't go into your head earlier, things like that aren't done by the sane.

You feel Hydra's gaze upon you.

>"Daniel, I saw what was done, it was the right thing to do. For you actions I am making you my champion."

Da-Ding!

You are now the Champion of the God, Hydra!

Once a week you can adopt a visage reminiscent of Hydra. Meaning, you grow scaled skin and snake like appearance for one combat scenario. Other Champions will seek you out to prove whose god is the greatest.

What do you do?
>>
>>21113354
I really think we should check through them to make sure there is not a serial killer or something that we would re-unleash on the world. I mean sure this little jerk deserved to die but that doesnt mean the people he found to be judged didn't deserve it.
>>
>>21113419

H-how do you grow scaled skin on bones?

Does that mean we get flesh?
>>
>>21113430
Even if there were, we just tore apart reality to deliver justice. I doubt they'd even think about crime again.
Anyway, we left that to the people.

>>
>>21113419

You gather bacon, bread, butter, and a lot of alcohol.

You return to the manor, fry the bacon, put it on some buttered bread and pour a drink. You are very exited for this.

>>21113614
You enter Areal's room, put down the breakfast butty and beer.

Then assume Champion form. You feel nerve endings grow, organs fill your body, and all the other soft stuff.

>"My my, what ever are you doing now?"
Areal asks.

You reply, through a mouth full of bacon and beer.

"The thing I haven't done in 150 years."

You swallow breakfast, and tackle her onto the bed-pillow.
