Iffram as a faction's so based around magic, it's essentially the 'rule 0' faction. There are some basic things that can be explained about each class's mechanics, and then there's a bunch of stuff that's GM prerogative. And they need it, trust me - they really would lose a straight fight with a tank. Most of the damage types have been explained, but I'll write up a condensed summary in a bit; unfortunately again, most of those damage types are rule 0 stuff.

This tends to be a double edged sword tough, you know if people go to the IRC and chat about stuff there it gives the impression that the the threads themselves are deserted and people only post their moves, which quickly leads to boredom and apathy. This kinda takes the fun out of the game because it gives the picture that the players are only interested to post their moves and spend 99% of the time doing other things.

He does post about stuff usually 1-2 days in advance, that is what the VVaroom threads are for besides being "general" threads.

You are absolutely right. However there is one crucial difference, and please do not take this the wrong way, this quest can run without a few players (not without all of course) but it cannot without the DM so naturally the DM is the one who have to dictate when sessions are held and the players have to be the ones to follow.

That aside I am sure both the Monday and the players do their best to find the time that suits everyone.

The weakness of knights is getting flanked. You avoid their shield, they die like anyone else. This happens when you try and engage an enemy in an open field, like what happened against the sivvian ghouls.

Damage Reduction is ultimate - if you engage a decently strong knight when his shield is present, you're going to have trouble breaking it. Strength 2 or 3 shouldn't be too hard for a Knight to get.

As for the adepts dying... yeah just biting off more than they could chew.

Yes, deploy an entire army of Evokers. Monday's reaction to that would be hilarious. There would also be a lot of dead Evokers by the end of it.
I won't deny that the castor and ranged classes have and do outshine the melee classes in every army all the way back to SQ. The sheer lethality of this game has made it so that being as far from the enemy as possible, while still being able to do even a few points of damage renders you immediately superior to anything that has to get closer to the enemy than you do.
This no way invalidates the viability of melee classes. It just requires them to be smarter and more clever than the ranged and castor classes. They have to carefully when to attack, when to hold back, and to withdraw completely. They must also be able to rely on their allies to support them and currently they can't.

He quickly takes the Nearby stone wagon, it's Bloqmastered shape lighter than any stone has any right to be. Charging up he leaves it by the wall, knowing that his Bloqmaster's Hammer could summon the other materials he needed from it at will. Up the stairs he goes, until he reaches the crenelated crook. Once again masonry shifts, mortar cracks and resettles, bricks form, hinges and sling arms take shape, an orb of summoned stone forms in the cup. A catapult takes shape, aimed for the fore.

Now little voice in the sky, I dont know much about ye, but what I do know about the 10 sons and daughters of Iffram, is how they want to lose their mind erry once in a while ! These 1 an' a half guns o mine is equipped to make drinks with one hand, and throw you out me haus with the other.

Y'see while we humans discovered our finer qualities through the rich burnt smell of our father's grain fields, you'd be surprised by how a Ryvern can get plastered by a wee bit o' crushed berries !

For Ryvern, I hear that many walk through the fireplanes just to have a sip o' my Orange Juice.

For Tams, Tams are tricky, you gotta play it by ear you see, sometimes their shadows play tricks on you- sometimes they're hinting at their special weakness. Sometimes they just want Moonshine. Hahahahha Arthur should have executed me for that one.

And Sivvians ? Don't get me started with sivvians one time i tried to order no less than 10 kinds of poisons to attract a few of them in my bar and now they've been siezed by the redguard in a week for treasonous plots. Now that was an arm and a half of trouble. Ahh yes. Poison. They like most poisonous drinks. And now theres a drink up there with my face and name on it: Barton: Wanted for Treasonous Plot. It's literally SELLING ITSELF !

Now where was I ? Oh yes. Treason. And Sleekfoots. Sleekfoots don't drink did you know ? I just found that out. But I hear they like staring at cups of milk till it disappears. Which makes you wonder... where does it all go ?

Dorfs are my toughest customers ! For every one of them on my stools outdrinks three on a table ! Dorfs are a true Bartender's test of character- character that can be tested with enough stock hands, 12 barrels, a long night, and a horse cart waiting in the back just in case there are survivors who need it. Otherwise they like Gin on the Madrocks.

And Centaurs? I've got a story fer each one that ever threatened to take my life. But you can bet that a glass or two of Horse Shoes is the way to go. Creamy up top, but /horse tranquilizer/ at the bottom.

You'll be amazed at how little Castors drink. Which is why a drop of anything will hit them hard. Problem with that is... you don't realize it till the next week. I recommend Potato Fire.

And Drakkei now you're asking, what do those fellers drink if they have fire in them already ? And I tell you, theres a reason why I live next door to a magma forge. . . ..

I did notice. I also noticed that everyone else and I have been shouting at storm mages not to make conditions worse, to turn down the heat. Instead, you increased humidity?

I'm not singling you out, this goes for all storm mages.
This class affects everyone on the map, allies included. If the weather is slowing us down and actively hindering us all (and in this case it is), when asked to tone it down you don't ignore that and keep on trying to make a large storm.

If that sort of instruction is something you can not follow, then this is not the class for you.

Starting now, I am not allowing people to make storm mages as their first character. Play a game or two as a different class first, and then I may allow them to choose storm mage.
