= About Building =

It would seem that our bloqsmiths are resourceful enough to make any kind of structure, so long as the space that they occupy is "broken down" to a flat base. Usually this is done by hammering the area into one. Alternatively using an axe to cut down on trees and vegetation is also as grand way to clean the site.

When solid tiles are broken down from previous structures, they are left as a pile of useable materials. The more damage done to the base piece, the more quality they contribute to the things they build.


The bloqsmiths really CAN piecetogether anything....

You spawn a mook kobold by spending your entire turn making it. This means spend a turn not moving, not acting except to use Statuesque in order to make your helper. I honestly don't know if the mook is a base kobold or has your stats. This mook kobold then acts as a second character in your unit, moving with you but having independent actions to use. Or you could hand off these mooks to other players to control. Of course, such kobolds could be supplied with weapons and what not from a forge, if the funds are willing.

Home Instinct would be the same cost, but function almost exactly like the bloqsmith, being able to carve out walls, trenches, stairs, etc. in the terrain around you. Uncertain if you can build siege weapons in this way, but I don't think so. Worth experimenting with at some point maybe.

I'd suggest, as such, that building a fort here is probably not actually necessary so much as an outpost. Get walls up around the place to hinder enemies but we don't need to make them full blown fortifications :P Let's do that when we're coming to the rescue of Greywind ehn? Right now we should get the basic walls up, MAYBE a gate house, definitely a smithy and 2-3 bases, and then chop down a forest or two to produce plenty of catapult and Ballis wagons to pull through the portal with us!

That particular wall block represents a special action wall, built to fuse into the cliff face so that the enemy has to CLIMB the cliff's sheer side to be able to get up. Since they'd have to do the same with the wall, I see little reason to waste time building more than we absolutely need when more constructive (haha!) things can be done, especially since we already have ONE wall linking into this, and we'd have to spend time knocking it down.

They're a fun race sure. Really they're good for a lot, we got some with casters already, Their shadows have A LOT of combat potential all wrapped together. A knight or Adept for super high damage potential, or another tracker. I think we have enough Bloqmasters right now, don't know the mage classes well enough to say one way or another.

Stealth rules are pretty universal, most people can use them in their most basic form. Namely, go prone behind a LoS-blocking piece of terrain, then stay out of sight, prone, and don't attack. Running would also break stealth in this case. But no, Iffram has no stealth specialists like the Voss Hunters or Stealth trained Clovis operatives. Trackers are the closest thing to that paradigm.

Is there some kind of record of all the pervious Skirmish Quests? These sound as awesome as the Plains of Blood and Hand of Fate, Fleet Command, and Mech Wars games from the old Drowtales forums before the flame war there a few years back killed the rp community o-O want to read the logs if I can :D
