One and a half years ago, you were a Magical Girl.

And back then, the idea of going insane was something you weren't really all that comfortable about.

No, no one can call you completely stable and well-adjusted with a straight face. Even you yourself would find it much too ridiculous to even consider yourself as someone who's playing with a complete deck of cards. Even your own Incubator shares the same opinion. Your aide has never said it outright herself, but you know she's just being polite.

But to see things that have never been there to begin with, to talk to pink-haired girls with the same eyes as yours. To flirt with them, long enough that they actually felt bad enough about shooting you down that they gave you a kiss as consolation. only to realize that you've been simply standing all by yourself, staring at a painting, for mere seconds when you could've sworn it had been more than a few minutes.

You've always felt that sanity is overrated.

But at the same time, you're not that much in a hurry to lose your marbles.

As much as you'd like to believe otherwise, you have too much to lose.
>>
>>20823000

You are Valnikov Kharn, Warmaster of the Ninth Incubator. It is currently late morning, going to noon - you know this because you're starting to get a bit peckish yourself. At around this time you and your aide would be hitting up a very nice ramen shop downtown called Hanegawa's. Suckin' down on home-made noodles just chock full with good stuff like pork fat, crunchy vegetables and other things you like but cannot be arsed to learn the proper terminologies of(much to your aide's consternation).

You should probably take your new aide there, someday. Perhaps when you're done with this bothersome matter of meeting the Third Incubator's Warmaster, in her pretty little indoors gazebo. You didn't really think this meeting was necessary yourself - but Kyuubey, in his infinite wisdom, had decided that he needed just a bit more proof before letting you do what you want.

What you want, of course, is simple enough: to mobilize the entire Officio into a full-out assault. The Ninth against The Third. A thousand Magical Girls doing their level best to murder another thousand.

The city would be torn apart by the collateral damage alone. A fact that Malal had reminded you of whenever you toyed with the idea of full mobilization. It wa salso a fact that had always cheered you up immensely whenever you thought of it.

A nice, bloody calamity is always good for a city, you had reasoned. If anything, it would give Mitakihara a bit more personality, a bit more history.

[1/2]
>>
>>20823011

You've never liked how so irrepresibly shiny and clean the city was. Even the red-light districts were impossibly neat.

It's a thought that comforts you in your sudden moment of weakness, of vulnerability, as your latest acquisition - a deadly and taciturn time-stopper you've dubbed Murderface - pulls you towards the gazebo where the Third Warmaster is sitting prettily, sipping her freshly-brewed tea in that stiff-looking white kimono of hers. Her long platinum-blonde hair done up in a rather elaborate coif, with golden hairpins securing the entire thing. Her cold blue eyes set firmly on the opened book in front of her, the writing small, spindly and barely readable.

Ahriman. What a stupid name. What kind of name is it, anyway? It is a weak name, a nerdy name. You sneer and open your mouth as you approach the gazebo, about to call her such - maybe it will start something and FINALLY give you an excuse--

"No calling the other Warmaster names, Kharn." Malal quietly murmurs as she comes up beside you, grasping your arm with one hand and pulling out your seat with the other. "Let's start this right. They want things to be peaceful, let's at least try to play along."

You grudgingly acquiesce, settling into your seat, letting your greatcoat drape itself underneath you. Taking off your cap, you place it on the table in front of you, turning it just so that the polished skull at the peak is grinning up at you with empty sockets for eyes.

[2/3]
>>
>>20823015

"I'm glad you're able to take time out of your busy schedule to actually come to one of your appointments in time, Valnikov." The first words out of Ahriman's mouth is condescending enough that you despise her immediately. "From what I've heard of you, all you're good at is taking skulls and seducing other Magical Girls. Not exactly Warmaster material, in my opinion - and I pride myself in always being right."

She says this while not looking up from her book.

Working up a smile on your face, you murmur a small prayer to a blood-soaked diety upon his throne of skulls to help you get through this little farce of a meeting.

Because from the looks of things, you may be making an offering to him soon enough.

How do you respond?

Guys, we promised to at least TRY to be diplomatic. No open accusations just yet. Try to get her to slip up. I say express regrets too for the magical girls that are apparently still kidnapped, since we've found none in that dreadful trainwreck of a mission.

Phew. Looks like I'm still relatively on time - I had to catch up with the last thread since I missed it.

So, since this flashback is Kharn talking to Chiaki, I wonder how Chiaki reacts to Kharn telling her that she hit on Pinky a year and a half ago.

>>
>>20823132

You do not rise to her baiting, choosing to ignore the veiled insult. It is not like it is not the truth, after all, and it is not something you're ashamed of - but to bring up something like that during a formal meeting, well, you know what she's getting at. But you will not give her the satisfaction of getting a rise out of you - you are Valnikov Kharn, after all. You may be wrathful, you may have a temper, but no one in your position should allow such puerile antics to incite them into rage. This is not amateur hour.

Instead, you cut to the chase, leaning both your elbows on the expensive table linen - cradling your chin with one fleshmetal hand, and drumming your fingers on the table with the other. Casually ruining the fabric with your clawtips in the process.

"You wanted to speak of the incident, in which three of your squads failed to kidnap one of my girls, yes?" You say, the smile still on your face. "So speak."

There is no discernible reaction from Ahriman - other than the smallest sigh escaping her lips, and her hand reaching up from underneath the table to gently and carefully close the tome in front of her. A moment more, and she raises her glacier-blue eyes to look at yours - and it's the first time that you realize that if the Third Warmaster actually wiggled the stick out of her ass once in a while, she would actually be a viable choice for you.

It is a pity, because it looks like that stick will not be getting pulled out of there anytime soon.

[1/2]
>>
If we're looking to insult her we could also mention that the door greeter should have been more insistent about handing over skulltaker.
not that we would have, just that it was lazy on her part.
>>
>>20823750

"No niceties. No pleasantries. No formalities. Just straight to the quick." Ahriman shakes her head. "Well, partly my fault for letting myself get carried away for the moment, but let's push that aside for now. I'm sure you have more urgent matters to attend to, whatever they may be." She seems genuinely taken aback by herself, but any doubt is quickly replaced with a cool, collected sort of determination obviously borne out of confidence, determination, and an ace up her sleeve.

You will have to watch this one carefully, you think.

"Yes, Valnikov Kharn. Let us talk about the three squads - no, the twenty-one Magical Girls who one of your agents slaughtered in cold blood." Ahriman's smile is brittle as she waves a hand - and you see Red Twintails, from earlier, walk up behind her to pass along a rather slim book, bound in black leather. She opens it at the first page, before placing it on the center of the table, turned around so that you could see.

Twenty-one photographs. Headshots of girls smiling in front of the camera, some looking dutiful, others excited, others sullen. Three squads, all of them Eversor rank, as noted by their names at the bottom of each picture.

"Squad Amon, Ankh, and Sobek. Our finest Eversors. Daughters, sisters, all. Now dead, with their soul gems shattered only moments after their bodies were." There is a slight tremble in Ahriman's voice, but only slightly - the rest is acidic, venom-laced steel. "Twenty one souls, Valnikov. That is how much you've bled us. We should be mobilizing against you right this very moment."

[2/3]
>>
>>20823750
>It is a pity, because it looks like that stick will not be getting pulled out of there anytime soon.

Wait, we AREN'T going to beat her to death with it?

>>
>>20823760
Twenty-one traitors and betrayers, I believe would be more accurate. Refused to aid comrades. Plotted to ambush said comrades, and kill all but one, who they would then... possibly do unfriendly things to. No, not souls then. demons do not have souls. They were monsters, and it is only by good fortune that one of ours discovered this before vileness could be committed, and the cancer within your ranks ripped out. Good, yes.
>>
>>20823787

What a coincidence, you almost say, were it not for Malal pre-empting you just in time to place a small saucer of sugar cubes - most likely stolen from the tea table beside the gazebo - in front of you, each cube neatly arranged to spell the word 'NO'. Instead, you take one between clawed fingertips delicately and pop it into your mouth, crunching it loud enough for Ahriman to hear. The Third Warmaster's scowl deepens, before she continues, pulling the book back to her and touching the images almost wistfully with an extended finger.

"But no. There will be no mobilization. Mitakihara doesn't deserve to burn under a war between two Officios, not right now. You understand this as much as I do, don't you, Valnikov?" It's then that Ahriman's lips curl gently into a smile. "So, to cut to the chase. I am expecting two actionable deliverables from you, Valnikov Kharn, and they must be given before the day is done. They are non-negotiable."

She takes a moment to sip from her teacup.

"The first is the soul gem of the culprit." Ahriman says, her smile widening just the slightest bit.

"The second is Tomoe Mami herself."

Red Twintails, who had taken her place behind and slightly to the right of Ahriman's chair, smiles beatifically at you.

"Those are my demands. From another Warmaster to another..." Ahriman herself leans forward, smiling behind her steepled fingers. "You can see how I'm letting you off so easily, Kharn."

How do you respond?

Here is my counter offer
Mourn your losses and keep out of our way unless you want to have many more events like this happening. The agent has been dealt with and Tomoe Mami is not involved in this nor would I hand her over to another officio if she were.

The punishment of traitors is the sole responsibility of their officio after all or do you wish to disrespect us so greatly as to force our hand?
>>
>>20823964

This anon has style. I support getting RedHair's number.

Also, we can either ask Ice Blondie here and now why Mami, or we can wait until the interrogation chamber.

Your choice anon.
>>
>>20823853

Non negotiable? Well that simply wont do, I so rarely get a chance to haggle... Oh well, it was to be a no to both counts any way, the subject known as girl A has been 'retired' already, and we aren't in the game of giving away valued members of our staff for no observable reason. Is there anything else you would like to discuss before I leave?

>>20823853

We already killed the culprit, shattered her soul gem, and burned the remains, and slagged what wouldn't burn.

now what would they want with Tomoe Mami? the largest mistake she made was not paying close enough attention to Girl A and even if she did do that, there is little one can do to make sure a magical girl with full time stop isn't going anywhere.

does Mami have vital knowledge on the ninth incubator or is this just a way for that stuck up arrogant bitch to get a new plaything?

pancake monopoly!?

or maybe she knows that Mami at one point pulled a golden weapon from her... person.

it is also entirely possible that they want to resurrect Girl A with her soul gem and then keep her under control by keeping Mami captive.

full timestop is a very very rare thing. enough to betray allies over?

Sometimes villains are dumb and will provoke violent characters just because they can't keep their swinging asshole phallus in their pants for five seconds to literally save their own lives.

...On the other hand, sometimes a villain isn't that dumb.

I will worry if this villain isn't that dumb, because intentionally triggering our wrath could mean bad things.

...Maybe we should have gotten a meeting with their Incubator instead. It's hard to get mad at those(unless you don't know how magical girls work and feel betrayed, but Kharn already knows everything), it's like getting mad at a graphing calculator.

You cannot help yourself. You cannot keep your face straight any longer, no matter how much you try. You canot hold yourself back.

It does not start slowly. Rather, it comes out in a completely unexpected burst, like a taciturn damn suddenly and abruptly exploding into pieces, issuing forth a destructive torrent of hilarity. Your laughter is loud, long, and fills the now graveyard-silent room. No, it is not laughter anymore - it is cackling. You are honest to god cackling. Like a witch, or a crazy grandmother. Such is your amusement at Ahriman's temerity. Such is your surprise at her bald-faced audaciousness. If you had a camera crew recording your reactions, you would have looked towards the direction of the Get A Load Of This Guy Cam and pointed a clawed fingertowards Ahriman herself.

"MALAL!" You cry between gasps of hilarity, leaning over to the side, still cackling as you reachout with both hands, the tears in your eyes blinding you - and you feel more than see your aide come up to your side. You grasp at her arm with both hands, and shake her. "Did...did you hear what she had said, to me? Did I not hear her correctly?" You giggle as you look up at her tinted visor, and she nods quietly.

"What did you think about it?" You ask her, and she shakes her head before shrugging, as if exasperated that she had to say it herself.

"It's dildos."

"DILDOS!" You exclaim, loudly, slamming a clawed hand into the table, the noise sharp enough that even Red Twintails seem to jump slightly at it. You look around, and point at Murderface, who is staring daggers at Ahriman. "Y-you! Little girl, on the street! Hahaha...w-what do you think?"

[1/2]
>>

This seems to snap her out of her murderous stupor, and the young woman blinks behind her glasses, clearly nonplussed. "It's...it's dildos?"

"DILDOS! AGAINS!" You slap the table again in a thunderous impact, still cackling your own merry way. "Do you see, Ahriman? Do you see what we think about your actionable deliverables, or what do you call them?"

Ahriman's scowl deepens. "It hardly matters what your underlings think about them, that is my offer. And it is dildoES, not dildos--"

You cut her off with a wave of your hand as you finally manage to calm yourself down, the cackling subsiding into mere giggling. "Ah, very sorry. Have not cackled like that in some time. Last time, I was enjoying a joke, about one of our own Vindicares killing three squads of Eversors all by herself." This almost sends you into another round of hysterics, had it not for the fact that you are currently feeling everyone else in the room glaring at you.

"Maybe you know that joke? Is okay, I will tell you soon. Anyway, yes, for your two demands." You hold up two clawed fingers. "The first, the...culprit's soul gem, you ask? Well, I cannot give it to you. Impossible. Cannot be done."

"But why--"

"Because there is nothing left of it!" You smile at the Third Warmaster. "I have done it before you have even asked! Girl A, as we refer to her, is dead! Extinct! Removed from existence! Body burned to ashes, gem reduced to powder! If you still persist on that, then you will be making me root in my Officio's garbage bin, to give her to you with a dustpan!"

"No. Nyet." It's then that you let the friendly, jovial smile fall from your face, so quickly and so completely that those looking upon you at the time would wonder if you had ever been smiling at all.

"This thing, asking me to hand over Tomoe Mami to you like some borrowed pair of underwear? No, no, that is not happening." You shake your head. "It will never happen, so long as I am Warmaster, so long as I am required by my rank of office to wear this very fetching hat."

You take your hat from its place on the table and wave it at her direction. "I do not deal with traitors, cowards, fools and bullies, nor will I use my own girls as barter pieces. If you want Tomoe Mami, woo her and make her yours, but I will not hand her over to you like some piece of meat."

Ahriman's eyes narrow at you, and you return her venomous glare with one of your own. "Do consider what you're saying here, Kharn. You are at the cusp of forcing my hand. We have lost three squads to you, while the only thing you've lost is...one unstable psycopath who managed to win the Incubator Lottery as far as abilities as concerned." At this, Murderface visibly stiffens. "The balance must be restored, and I am offering you a way to do so without any more bloodshed. Tomoe Mami is just one girl, out of your thousand. Surely you can allow a trade of two souls for twenty one?"

How do you respond?

Only that torturing Megucas is completly retarded. Thanks to the Soulgems they barely feel any pain at all.

The Soulgem-Liking did give me an Idea on how you could possibly torture a Meguca without causing bodily harm nor destroying her Soulgem.

If they can be dipped in Alcohol and liked, I wonder what would happen I we put a Soulgam in say... boiling water.

Not that it makes the Idea any better, press them too much and they witch out on you due to Suffering-Overload.

If we're going to do any "torturing", it's taking Ahriman's Soul Gem and licking it until she ends up mindbroken.
>>

Sigh. With torture, people tend not to say the truth, but what you want to hear.

And it was widely used for that, and only for that. When an inquisitor asked you if you were a witch, he didn't want the truth. He just wanted you to acknowledge it and sign a pre-written confession.

It's common history. What are you, twelve?

Wrap her tongue around the entire gem, then slowly suck it back into her mouth.
>>
>>20824965
Yes, because I was advocating torture as a viable source of information in the real world.

Kharn was raised in a Russian gulag and had a fetish for collecting the skulls of her victims.

You can't into rollplay can you?
>>
>>20824965
What are you? Five? Torture needs preparation. Lots of it, but it can work. You can get the information you want. You just need to prepare right.
Do your homework, so to speak.
>>
>>20825012
You can't into intelligence can you?
>>
>>20824968
>>20825012

But you do not torture people in gulag for info. Or even torture in traditional sense.

As a gulag manager you simply plan guard shifts and watch people work themselves to death. If someone refuses, you shoot them in the head.
Learn some history.
>>
>>20825016
The only real way torture can get accurate information is when you can check the information's accuracy immediately: ie "Tell me the combination to this safe right in front of us."

You shake your head. You are starting to get annoyed at this. You are decided; you do not like the new Warmaster of the Third Incubator. Well, if you are honest, most of the other Warmasters you do not agree with, except for a special few. Being an Incubator's proxy can do certain things to a person's idea of self-worth and confidence. You would hacve probably turned out the same, if you did not have someone like Malal by your side at that moment.

Still, this Ahriman...she is clearly hiding something. SHe had not said a word about the alleged 'kidnapped' girls, or what Girl A - now Murderface - had heard the squad leaders sniggering about. Add to this the...relative generosity of her offer. No Warmaster worth her sexy hat would even think about such a trade. Twenty-one souls for two? Had you been Ahriman, you would have mobilized, right away, no meetings. Blood for blood, soul for soul. No negotiations, no delays, no sneering and jeering over a linen table. You would not do any mourning - you would respect the dead by making their murderers do the mourning for you.

You drum your clawed fingertips into the table, before leaning forward again.

"Alright. Time for giggles and funny ha-ha is done now. That is in the past. Serious, now, no more tricks." You point one brutally-clawed skeletal finger at her. "You like to hear yourself talk, very much. Okay, I can understand. You have nice voice. Now tell me, so the both of us can hear you talk more, why you want Tomoe Mami so much. We have been talking and you have never given me one single reason to consider it - besides you talking about balance or some kind of stupid nonsense like that."

Ahriman narrows her eyes at you, before shaking her head. A smirk curling her lips.

"Kharn, please. We both know that this is not your area of expertise. I would be wasting my time - and yours - if I tried to explain everything to you in a way that you can understand." She lets out a sigh. "Can't you just accept the fact that I'm simply trying to mend this...obviously strained relationship between our Officios? We don't need to fight. Full mobilization is something I dare not take lightly, even in these conditions. I am willing to bear the shame of having lost three Eversor squads in my command, and so much more. Just let us have Tomoe Mami, and we can all go back to our lives. Especially yours."

It's then that her smirk turns cruel, ugly almost. "Hiding your...disgusting, cancerous corruption. I can smell it myself, even before you've entered my building. Where is it up to now, Kharn?"

You find yourself stunned at this, feeling your body grow cold - except for your hands, which seem to grow just the tiny bit warmer. How...how could she have known? No one knew. Only Kyuubey and Malal, no one else--

"Surprised? I'm not. I've spent much of my career studying and perfecting what's been given to me, except of shooting or hacking away at mortals and Witches. I know more than you can possibly know, and have more strength in my little finger than you have in your entire body." The smile in Ahriman's voice is obvious as she raises one hand to her side - and a bolt of golden electricity snaps into existence into her hand, solidifying into a brilliant gold hequin staff, topped by a hissing snake head, fangs reared to strike.

"Magic. Something you Girls have forsaken in lieu of swords and guns and other pointy things. How can you call yourselves Magical Girls even if you've left the first part out so much?"

The eyes of the golen snake seem to glow at the sight of you.

"Anyway, yes. Going back to your little affliction." Ahriman smiles. "The Officio of the Ninth Incubator is certainly strong, strong enough for us to take stock and consider other places to take root in. Agreed, but in the order 2, 3, 1.
>>
>>20825614
YES!
>>
>>20825464
You sure said a lot and never answered my question. Why Mami? why not another girl? Two souls for 21 is indeed cheap, but why Mami? Or is there a reason you are not telling me? Or anyone else here?
>>
>>20825570
>3. Contact QB and say in a voice that everyone can hear. "Negotiations have broken down, mobilise everyone, we are going to war!"

This but do this with a Happy-Go-Lucky-Smile in Happy-Go-Lucky-Voice.
>>
>>20825464

we come here and try our very best to keep this as peaceful as possible but this bitch has done nothing but try to provoke us, i feel sorry for the lower ranked girls.

>she can stick that staff where the sun don't shine.

where is the 3rd incubator anyway?
>>
she probably needs mami for a ritual. probably something having to do with one of pure heart or soul. either way, her clear weakness is the fact that she thinks other people are as 'reasonable' as she is. Like in not wanting to see an entire city/state/country burned to the ground in the name of honor, violence, and retribution. she is... overconfidate. but still most likely very powerful. high level magic users can be broken as shit.
>>
>>20825626

Seconding this order.
>>
I really wish we discussed some plans with Murderface before hand. It would be great to go 'Murderface, plan E' at which point Ahriman sees 20 or so of her magical girls spontaneously explode in showers of gore. It would certainly give us a better position to continue these 'negotiations' from.
>>
>>20825665
No Mami has a golden weapon. This bitch has one too. She want Mami's, simple as that.
>>
>>20825665
this >>20825680

Also, Malal can antimagic.
>>
>>20825691
You'd think in her infinite wisdom she'd realize we had a Culexus with us.

Spellcasters in an AMF don't do so hot unless you've got Initiate of Mystra. Bullets, on the other hand...
>>
Also any bets that its this bitch that has the collection of 5 golden weapons that Pinky was talking about?
>>
>>20825721

It being a flashback makes it very unlikely.

But if it really is a Gold Weapon and not just staff with some fancy decoration (yeah, right?) that means it probably greatly enhances her powers or something.

Might not be a good idea to rely on Malal's antimagic to save our ass, though Kharn obviously doesn't know that at this point.
>>
>>20825721

She is probably about to be violently dismembered. No bet.
>>
>>20825679
Oh well, suddenly I saw a scene
>Murderface, timestop and eradicate those brides
>... It's broken.
>What.
Suddenly!
Explosions everywhere this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bX7V6FAoTLc
starts playing as girls start battling and shooting and Malal keeps shouting "...LDOESSSSSSS"

The building was destroyed soon after
>>
>>20825741
Relying on any of our overpowered abilities, anti-magic, time stop, etc. is probably a bad idea as I'm sure some bullshit contrivance will prevent us from using them.
>>
>>20825721
>implying that kharn didn't take them from her corpse and is keeping them locked up with her in siberia.
actually you know what i was thinking about?
>20 incubatior officios
>20 golden weapons
what if there was supposed to be one for each and all the magical girls were supposed to kill each other so that when madoka comes back to the real world instead of time stop land, theres about nobody left who can deal with her?
thats evil.
>>
When it is over, Kharn needs to compare her tongue to the tongue of the snake staff.
>>
>>20825774
>Our sarcophagus is the storage of the five golden weapons Kharn has collected
>>
>>20825774
Nah, our officio has two confirmed golden-weapon users, and there's one who got 5 of them.

If shit like that is common in other parts of the world, pinky can easily squeeze 20 of those things in 10 officios
>>
>>20825774

Ninth Officio has had three Golden Weapon users so far: Mami, Kirika and Chiaki.
>>
>>20825839
>implying kirika didn't kill anyone to get her weapon
>implying chiaki didn't get hers by the fact that the prior owner of them pissed off pinky and got eaten, then her weapons given to homura because lols

also we have no clue as to WHY mami even has a golden weapon.
>>
>>20825872

Kirika stated that Pinky gave the sword to her. Might have been lying, yes, but she wasn't stark raving mad at that point just yet.

>>also we have no clue as to WHY mami even has a golden weapon.

Mami is the only one of Chiaki's acquaintances that Pinky didn't say anything negative about. Pinky probably likes Mami. Maybe she thought it would be nice to include her in her game too, what do I know?
>>
>>20825872
Officially, we have no idea that she has one at all, and Ahriman's insistence on not telling Kharn about it in the past is preventing Chiaki from knowing in the present.
>>
>>20825872

We don't even know by what criteria Faust is giving out the golden weapons in the first place. It's useless to assume that one theory is more valid than the other.
>>
>>20825560 >>20825570

"One moment, please." You smile as you raise one brutally-clawed finger into the air, your other hand taking your smartphone from your inventory. The dinged, scratched-up device chimes to life as you carefully input QB's number onto the screen, before holding it up to your ear. Three rings, and the Incubator answers, in his usual fashion.

"Yes? What is it, Kharn?"

You smile at Ahriman, before you reply.

"Negotiations are not going as planned. I am sorry, Kyuubey, but I will have to ask for you to consider full mobilization." You laugh, despite yourself. "Also, I am going to kill everyone in this building. No matter what you say."

"...I will consider it, Valnikov Kharn. Good hunting."

The line is severed, and you stand up, all smiles, carefully placing the battered device back into your inventory. The rest of the Third's Magical Girls - with the exception of Red Twintails and Ahriman - steps back as you do so.

"You insult...a guest." You say as you replace your sexy cap on your head, making sure that it is a flawless fit, and not crimping any strands of hair. "You threaten those who come in peace." You straighten the back of your greatcoat, and dust off imaginery lint from your skulled epaulettes. "You use mourning for the dead to disguise your plots." Finally, you step back from your chair, replacing it neatly where Malal had pulled it from.

"You are no Warmaster, you are a thug, a cruder child than one raised in a Siberian gulag."

[1/2]
>>
>>20825872
I like the theory that Mami actually doesn't have one anymore. In-between the flashback and quest start she ditched it somehow, so to keep things balanced Pinky gave it to us. Only now it's a DEagle instead of a flintlock because it suits Chiaki better.
>>
>>20825872
Pinky is trying to make a new generation of witches, using her experience with corruption.

She's trying to replace the slow and flawed (proved by Kharn) soulgem corruption system for the more direct system of corrupting bodies through golden weapons.

She's still at the beta stage, though

>>
>>20825949
....
Remember that Kirika started mocking us when we took Muramasa.
The sword is not just a cursed golden weapon.
Its a Kirika possessed cursed golden weapon.

Perhaps if a magical girl dies while in possession of the golden weapon meant for them. Their soul gets transferred to the weapon.

You shake your head, and sigh.

"I will give the death you so desperately want, Ahriman. I swear it by the name I gave up."

Beside you, Malal is reaching behind her helmet, turning what appears to be a dial affixed to the collar of her suit. You smile at this, slightly, before reaching your hand out to your newest acquisition.

"Murderface. Bring me Skulltaker."

A shriek splits the tension in the room, followed by a deafening sound of splitting metal - and your subordinate flickers into existence beside you, the scarred shield on her arm clicking. Holding out the black length of Skulltaker to you, which you gratefully grab by the handle.

Ahriman's sneer is cloying, and yet you see a trickle of sweat drip down her cheek. Crimson lighting, blinding and acrid, crackles along the golden staff in her hands. "You ignorant fool--"

You and your retinue, in that perfect moment of clarity, did not wait for them to attack.

All three of you were already running forward. Towards Ahriman.

"DEATH TO THE COWARDS OF THE THIRD INCUBATOR!" You cackle, the deafening roar of Skulltaker joining you in bloodthirsty chorus.

Malal and Murderface take up your war cry.

"BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!"

In all seriousness, we still don't know what kind of battle this is going to be. Easy, hard, messy, clean, fast, and action'y or tedious.

I mean It's like the Killgore's Flesh of Fallen angles scene. Only after seeing Chiaki's FoFA's mode we can truly say that Ave Maria fits.

Since this might be the last thread of the flashback, i think i'll leave this here even if the thread is done for the day...

>Apparently, we need to inform Kharn that Souji said she has nice... Mamis.

>We also seem to have forgotten to share Mami's greetings with Kharn

>Get an Ushanka hat for Kyouko.

>If we have to go under for a month to resist the corruption, we should let everyone who likes us know we'll be delayed. Luckily, this is a very short list. Mami, Kyouko (inquire after recovery and impending Hue), Iori, Pinky (lol), am i missing anyone?

>We may want to call [Kaname Madoka] and [???] again sometime to see if they start working.

>In addition to the killswitch, we can apparently track and 'take control' of Midori through the soul link, which could be... interesting. We might try it to see how it works. (We could literally make her hips move on their own!)

>On the subject of green and eager, we should probably have a talk with her. Suggested topics - Golden weapons/Pinky/FoFA, we're a bad end waiting to happen to her, she seems a bit stockholm syndrome.

>Oriko is still out there and probably still incredibly mad. We should keep an eye on that, she could easily make a wish for vengeance.

>Fabiola's meido boss has issues she'll want to pester us about eventually.

>We might ask how and how much Kharn knows about golden weapons.

>If we actually end up Warmastering, we'll need an aide. Midori has trust issues with the rest of the officio, and Kyoko and Sayaka come as a pair, so, there's problems/fun either way.

>After all, remember, Betrayer gonna Betray.
