Glowing runes and wards sear across the walls of the inside of the vault, to your enchanted, magic-seeing eyes. You'd seen most of them before, when the vault was being made, but.. there are more runes, extra layers, and spells laid upon the walls, ceiling, and ground- ones you'd never seen before, made with a strange, maddened fascination and obsession. It's making it impossible to sense anything through the wards, even with your communication ring.

"Zeke?!" Raziel calls, falling to her knees in front of her battered brother.
"Just a broken wing." He snarled, his fists clenching. You'd rarely seen Ezekiel like this- when he was angry, it was like a switch was flipped in his head, making him terse, and impulsive.

He pushed himself to his feet, and you see that his beak is badly cracked.
"Kristoph... cast a spell, then killed my magic." He snarled, spreading his hands into some kind of casting stance. "He even did somatic components."

Raziel put her hand on the vault to open it, and you see a spark of magic from her, but the thick, heavy vault door stayed shut.

"Kristoph? No, that my friend was 'Vanko' or should I say Gareth. Back from beyond the veil to be a nuisance once more.
>>
"I'm glad it's only a broken wing, Zeke." You say. "I was worried he'd done something worse to you."

You reach out with your hand, putting your palm on the door, and you try to open it, the same way Raziel did. it sparks, but the door insistantly remains locked. Gritting your teeth, you decide to use one of your signature spells- control magic. You put your palm against the door, and slowly start to peel away the wards-

And something explodes, throwing you back. Your armor drains itself keeping you safe, so you're still unarmed- but the wards are guarded against tampering, it seems.
"Ishelda?" Raziel ran to you, pulling you to your feet.
"Do the two of you have any idea what kind of spells were added to the vaults? I'm afraid I can't recognise them."
Raziel whispered a spell, and her eyes gleamed with divination as she looked around.
"He added more wards?" She asked.
"Evocation wards." Zeke said. "Whoever that was, it wasn't Kris. It wasn't the work of a novice. There's also wards on communication, and it seems, strong abjuration magic, focused on locking us in. Stand back, I'm going to blast out of here."
>>
>>20773244

Try to contact Kal's ring. If it's an artifact that's somehow attuned to us, we might somehow get around the wards.

>>
>>20773324
Nah man, Eidolon didn't do no blood magic. We have no idea if the VQ got him.
>>
"Wait a second, let me try something else first." You say... and you remove your communication ring, dropping it to the ground. You close your eyes, and reach out, toward the wards...

And you hear a heartbeat, far above you, strong and powerful. You hear her say something to you, but the words are muffled, difficult to understand- and you're not sure you can respond. She says something else.
You try to respond, but whatever message you send her gets stopped at the vault walls itself. You open your eyes, sighing.

"Raz." Zeke said. "I'll need some chalk."
"Why?" Raziel asked. "What do you need a ritual circle for?"
"Charms. Every charm I know." He said. She relucatantly gave him a piece of chalk, and he started scribbling runes all over the ground.

Your arms blaze into green energy, and you raise them, bringing forth your magic. Like long cables, the spells wrap around you, Raziel, and Zeke, the power coiling around, and locking into place.
"This will take some time." Zeke said, still writing.

You turn to Zeke. "It's not like we have any other option. If I can help you, just say so."
"You need to find out the truth, with Raziel." He said, his voice starting to warble. "You already used a powerful ward to protect us from the backlash, so you've done all you can. This spell is the most powerful I've made. It will cut through the door."

Raz, could Gareth have used some of the times that Kristoph's anti-magic was off to sneak back in and lie dormant? If he hid in someone else we could have noticed but Kris acted as obfuscation for it. Because it's only recently that he's been exhausting that talent, he hasn't had a chance to do this before.
>>

"He said he followed me. That would imply he returned after we revived Cassiel, when the veil was thin."
>>
"He has anti-magic, and he's been training up that anti-magic by exhausting himself of it until he has none left." You say.
"Wrong." Zeke added. "After the first few days, he came to me, worried that without his talent he'd be unable to protect you. Since then, we cut down the training so that he could keep his resistance."
"I..." Raziel said. "Mirror time." She said.

She opened it, and cast the spell. Looking over your shoulder, you see her and Kristoph kissing, Her pushing Kris against the wall. In the present, Raziel's eyes were wide.
"Th-that wasn't me." She said.
"So... what brought this on?" Kristoph asked, in the past.
"I can't stop thinking about you." Raziel, in the past said, a sultry, silky tone in her voice.
Raziel peeked ahead a bit, and then closed the mirror. Despite that, you still hear Raziel's voice, in the past.
"You know what really did this to me?" She asked. "The memory of you... as a kalak."
"Oh no." Raziel, in the present, said. "No no no."

"Well..." Kristoph said, somewhat uncomfortably. "If that's what turns you on... I guess I can spend a little bit as a Kalak. As long as you don't make me fly."
"That's fine." Raziel responded, putting a hand on his chest. "Your species of kalak can't fly, anyway. Now go on and let me shapeshift you."
"Well, okay." Kris said, and concentrated.

Raziel collapsed. Kris looked down at his hands... and then left the area of the vault, coming back with the Fell on his hand. He slipped his armor back on, his gauntlet hiding the ring from view, slung Raziel over his shoulder... and left the vault.

She nodded. "Right."
"I remember him telling me, as Vanko, that you can't be sure if you erased someone's memories completely." You say. "Let me try reversing it."
"G-go ahead." She said.

You put your palm onto her forehead, and bring forth your magic. You feel an intricate lattice of her mind, sparking and spasming as she thinks, and.. you find a very well hidden, camoflagued lattice of enchantment magic, layered there. Gently, ever so gently, you peel it away, careful beyond reason. When you open your eyes again, Raziel's own are wide.
"I... The last thing I remember is being at the table." She said. "After you called the fell. It was all dark... and then it went golden, and everything went... dark." She said. "And I woke up in my bed, a day later."

"At least he didn't force you to do anything as terrible as he has done to Kristoph. He'll feel horrible once he finds out he hurt Zeke, even if it was while being controlled."
Raziel frowned. "If only I'd finished the mirror earlier..." She said.

"It is done." Zeke said. "Stand behind me."

Zeke raised both arms, pushing his palms toward the door, and started chanting. It was eerie. He'd never chanted before.
His chanting suddenly grew... and split, into two different words, two parallel chants, weaving and balancing with one another, complimenting one another, his body perfectly still.

His chant grew louder, and more powerful, even to the point that you could feel the vibrations in your chest, and his voice split again, into three chants, each saying different words of power at the same time..
And as the magic whirled around him, he grinned, savagely, took a breath, and cast a single spell.

Light.

A white-hot beam of light shot out of his palms, toward the door, making the wards instantly hiss and flicker, the magic coming from the wards pulsing, and ebbing, as the beam of flaming light tore out of Ezekiel's hands, his chanting calm and measured.

Finally, he fell to his knees, panting.
"No good." He snarled, as the wards continued flickering, before coming back.

"I can't." She said. "I can't communicate outwards at all."

As soon as it started, the combat stopped, and there was a loud crunch. And then another. And then a third, and the vault door itself dented inward. And then outward.

Suddenly, the wards shattered, much more vulnerable from the outside. two, very different pairs of claws rended through the door, peeling it away, as the spell quickly alerted Nahzit, and Redglare, the closest two things you have to a military commander. However, when he manifests his talent as an anti-magic field, it breaks or dampens enchantments. Rikar, even dampened, is much stronger and sharper than any mundane blade.

As you watch, cloth-covered lizardmen start running across the roads, their strange shoes padding loudly as they run across the road in a rough V formation.

Violence is the solution for everything. If violence doesn't solve it, you're not just violent enough.

"Oh no, you don't!" You cry, and bring up one of the first evocation spells Zeke taught you, just yesterday. Force. You start to cast, saying the word, and he grins, raising a field of anti-magic around you.

So you tackle him to the ground, knocking the knife out of his grasp.
He continues laughing as you pin him down, completely maddened.
"Well." He said, chuckling. "I'd best give you your knight back."

His eyes rolled into the back of his head, and the knight fell back, unconscious. With the dregs of your remaining divination spell, you see something pure black, flicker and vanish.

<Mar, we need you. Kristoph is hurt, badly.> You say.
<R-right!> She responds
You grab the knife, and turn to the small, black, flickering being, and you reach out with your magic...

And the flickering being burst into anti-magic, slapping down your spell. Exhaustion suddenly takes you, your arms and legs weak.
He...
He's using Kristoph's talent.

Your blood goes cold, and you feel translocation magic, as a small portal opens, a word of power emanating from the small wraith.

>Fate point is not used.

You reach out for the spirit, trying to bring forth your magic, but your limbs burn, wildly.

And the being whispers something to you.
... Your name. Identically to what you heard during the resurrection ritual.
It cackles, and the wraith slips through the portal, vanishing, and the portal vanished entirely.

Kristoph moans.. and moves.
Then he starts screaming in pain, his flesh shorn off.

Kaliel leaped in through one of the windows, still wearing her living armor.
"You just vanished!" she said. She ran to Kristoph, and touched him. The man's eyes rolled into the back of his head, and he was once again asleep. "What happened?" She asked.

That's...actually a good idea. Lending my support for this (on the way back to New Arcturus and Marigold onboard Sparrow.)
>>
From what I can gather of the past quests with the main antagonists I cant say it is gareth or eidolon, why destroy the fell? why not use it like they tried to use other artifacts. It's possibly Ragnarok, come back after being released by the void queen. Either that or someone that is new from her past, possibly from arcturus, or a character that has been dead for a long time...possibly an ogre? just my take on it.
>>
"Thanks, Kal." You say. "Marigold is on the Jormungandr, so it would probably be best to meet up with them as soon as possible."

You take the knife, and the remnants of the Fell, examining the rest of the tower.

You look down to the ring. Maybe...
You bring forth your magic, and your muscles burn. You fall, gasping, to your knees. You used up most of your magic today, it seems.

"Ishelda..." Kaliel says, pulling you to your feet. It's awfully strange to see her with Kristoph slung over her shoulder like that. "Just... try not to use magic. You're wiped out. Do you want a spark?"
>>
>>20775076
"No, I can manage. Do what you can for him instead."

>>
"No, I can manage." you say. "Do what you can for him instead."
"There's little I can do..." She said. "But he's still conscious in here."
She touched him, and whispered into his ear.
"You'll be fine, Kristoph. I've disabled your sense of touch, but nobody else is harmed." She says, softly.
Kristoph gasped.
"He... hates you, Ishelda." He said, his voice hoarse. "He's... insane, so insane."
Kaliel, holding you up with one hand and slinging Kristoph over the other, the three of you made your way to Sparrow, which, surprisingly, has no tea on it.
Kaliel touched the control crystal, and Sparrow made it's way down to Jormungandr.
>>

"I think you should have a ward for your mind, when you go." You say. "I don't want anything to possess you when no-one of us is there to help you."
"It won't be a problem." She said. "I... fight off my passion every time I cast. It never comes at me the same way, so I've had to learn to fight it off. And I have a feeling..."
She looked down to her ring. The Soul.
"I have a feeling this will protect me." She said, amber eyes meeting yours.

You turn to Kris. "It's okay, Kris. We're getting you to Marigold right now. I'm so glad to have you back. What would I do without my noble knight?"
"Noble?" He asked, his eyes still rolled into the back of his head. He started laughing bitterly, self-derisively. "A noble knight wouldn't have dropped his defenses just to spread someone's legs."
>>
You can't blame yourself for that. It was someone you trust. It was someone I trust. We both were fooled. If he hates me so why didn't he just kill me? Razial, You. It would be easy.

Nevermind, he wants to destroy everything I find precious doesn't he?
>>
that's true gareth was a prick until the very end but this doesn't seem his kind of moves, unless he truly did come back for the sole purpose of taking everything we can use as a last fuck you. however, now that I think about it from what Exabyte wrote about the new wards that were placed on the door and the mind altering done to Raz it does feel like its being pointed at him. I just cant help but think it may be a twist.

A noble queen wouldn't have let the powerful insane psychopath go and begin his plan of world domination because she's too scared of wasting a point which we're probably going to have to use to stop him later anyway seeing as he's incorporeal and immune to magic.
>>
>>20775190
"Why do we fall, Kristoph? So we can learn to pick ourselves up."

>>
"You can't blame yourself for that." You say. "It was someone you trust. It was someone I trust. We were both fooled."
"I knew she was acting strangely, but I still..." He shook his head.
Sparrow set down next to Jormungandr, and Marigold ... vomited off of the side of the ship when she saw Kristoph's flayed flesh, before immediately bringing forth her magic and starting to heal her.
"This..." She said. "This will take a while."

<Come below deck of Jormungandr.> A perfectly neutral voice said, keying into your ring. <You and I need to speak. In private.>

"I thought something was wrong as well, Kris." You say, and turn to Marigold. "I'm sorry you have to see this, Mar, but I'm exhausted and this is beyond Kaliel's powers."
"It's... It's fine." She said. "I have to deal with these sorts of things sometimes."
You reach into Jormungandr's power, and quickly get as much as you can. You're still tired, but you have enough to cast a spell or two. Paranoid, you check if your mental ward is intact- and it is.

You make your way below deck, and Dras'lea is sitting on the power crystal there, the long, golden blade sat on top of her knees.
"The Wanderer." The woman said, her cloak covering her eyes. "Is my problem. This was not meant to happen."
She drew a small, pure black sphere from under her cloak, and held it out, for you to take.

Man, I've been following Exabyte's quest since NFCQ thread 1. Most people don't trip/namefag.
>>
>>20775810
>>20775812
Whoops, didn't mean Udz. I assumed it was him since another tripfag with no name also used to play.
>>
"Kaliel? She's... I'm not sure if I could find the words." You say. "I love her. She's lovely, feathery, and warm..."
"You love her." She said, and she nodded. She turned, and raised her arm to the wall, where a portal sprung open. "I see. Good luck."

She stepped through the portal, and then it closed, with a flash of un-color.
The small, dark sphere glints at you.
>>
>>20775801
I've been following since the first Sorc Quest thread, I just don't put on a trip or a name (unless it's the afterthread, in which case I'm Smutfag).
>>
"Hello Ragnarok."
>>
>>20775828
So have I, we've had a few trip and namefags come through here.
>>
>>20775834
If you're referring to me, I sometimes drop the name. And I'm usually driving to class for most of the latter half of the threads these days.
>>

Been here since the very beginning of NFCQ.
>>20775839
Turn on the magic-sight, see what's up with the orb.
>>

I apologise for that, I just can't stop it.
>>
>>20775843
THERE YOU ARE!

Did you ever finish that one with Raziel and Ishelda?

Can you do one for Kaliel and Ishelda?
>>
>>20775855
Yeah we've had a few, but to say most of the original players are gone based on the absence of certain tripfags is ridiculous.
>>
>>20775877
He's working on it, he's said.
>>
>>20775839
"Hello Ragnarok. Are you going to help me?"
He can do the Arcturus portal spell, fuck yeah.
>>
>>20775839
"Hey, Aeriel. You okay in there?"
>>
>>20775877
No, and I don't intend to because I'm working on a much, MUCH better, three-part Kal/Ishy. I'll tell you more about it in the afterthread where this sort of discussion belongs.
>>
>>20775839
Grab a piece of cloth or something and pick up the sphere with it. Don't want to touch that thing directly(yet) but still want to take a closer look at it.
>>
>>20775883
Actually it's not that far off. We used to have about a dozen or more players during NFC. We've dropped off quite a bit since then.

And nowhere near the amount that answered that vote.
>>
>>20775930
Could be plenty of lurkers.
>>
"Hello, Ragnarok." You say, picking up the sphere. As you touch it, you feel three, strange magics melded together- it feels, roughly, like Enchantment, Necromancy, and Abjuration, fused. "Are you going to help me?"
The sphere glimmers for a moment.
<Who are you now?> The response came. <Tch, and like I have a choice. Hello, holder of The Cage.>
>>
>>20775930
We always get a surprisingly high number of votes during greentext choices. It's been that way since I've NFCQ 6, or at least I think that's when I started reading these quests.
>>
>>20775930
Not everyone responds to every post. I'm fairly busy at this time of day, and usually only manage to respond to every second or third post.
>Now knock it off with the meta, goddamn.
>>
>>20775930
I only respond if I've got something to say. Maybe 1 in every 5 of Exabyte's posts. There will be people who do more and people who do less. But they're all going to vote on something like that, so it will have a lot more votes than a normal post.
>>
>>20775956
<I'm Ishelda. And I have no idea what The Cage is. I assume it's this orb?>
>>
>>20775930
I don't usually participate anymore, mostly lurk and respond during important decisions.
>>20775956
<It's Ishelda. What can you tell me about the former holder of the cage?>
>>
>>20775956

>>
>>20775964
>>20775945

You assume we have that many lurkers.

Anyways, time to knock the meta off gentlemen.

<Hello again Ragnarok. It's been a while>
>>
>>20775956
"I'm Ishelda. The Void Queen gave you to me. What does the Cage do?"
>>
>>20775956
"That's a very interesting question. Who do you think this is?"
>>
>>20775956
<It's me - Ishelda. Someone who apparently looks just like me but older who gave the name Dras'lea just handed you to me.
Gehenna's missed you.>
>>
>>20775992
Actually, seconding this. let's be mysterious, then go with this:>>20775987
>>
<That's a very interesting question. Who do you think I am?>
<You're someone different than Dras'Lea, that's for sure. But all I get in my itty bitty living space is a voice. Nothing else.>
<Hello again Ragnarok. It's been a while.>
<One of the Kalak, then. Raziel, perhaps? You're female... Neiriel? No, you'd smash this crystal as soon as you knew it was me...>
<I'm Ishelda.>
<Ah. that one.> He responds.
<And I have no idea what The Cage is. I assume it's this orb?>
<I like to pretend it's an artifact, so I gave it an artifact name. Feels less pathetic that way.Yeah, I'm the guy inside the glowy orb.>
<What does the Cage do?>
<There's a ritual, somewhere, a necromancy one.> He said. <It's called the Arakoatoa compact. This is one of those... but with an infinite amount of boons. While I'm not required to do them, I prefer to, because at least doing something is better than nothing. How is my brother?>
>>
>>20776061
<Gehenna's doing quite well. He's been an immense help with running New Arcturus.>
>>
>>20776061

>>
>>20776061

>>
>>20776061
<He's fine. He's working as my Steward. I'll let you talk to him when we get back.>
>>
<He's fine. He's working as my steward. I'll let you talk to him when we get back.>
<Really?> He asked, and the sphere gleamed happily. <Awesome, thank you. You're already better than Dras'lea. She just kept wanting me to move her everywhere, and teaching her about translocation. Then she learned how to, and stopped using me.>
>>
>>20776135
"Kaliel and Raziel are around here, as well. If you wish to speak with them just say so. And I would be very grateful if you could teach me about translocation as well."
>>
>>20776135
<Yes, I got the impression she doesn't talk much...are you aware she happens to look almost exactly like an older me? It's *quite* disturbing.
Anyway, I'll be happy to let you do as you please as much as you can, as long as it brings no harm.>
>>
>>20776163
"Of course you don't have to if you don't want to."
"Would you like to meet Azariel at some point, perhaps?"
>>
>>20776135
"Oh. You can teach someone how to use translocation. I find myself in need of such lessons. If you be so willing of course."
>>
>>20776135
<Yes, she said she had no use for you any more. Why were you so loyal to her again?>
>>
>>20776188
He was loyal to Eidolon. Gareth was loyal to VQ.
>>
<Yes, I got the impression she doesn't talk much... Are you aware she happens to look almost exactly like me? It's quite disturbing.>
<She doesn't look like you.> He said. <She shapeshifts. When she gave me a body for... shenanigans, she was a female version of me. That was almost creepier.>
<...Anyway, I'll be happy to let you do as you please as much as you can, as long as it brings no harm.>
<As long as I can talk to my brother, I'll be happy.> He said. <That's all I've wanted for... some time, now. Time... flows and ebbs in here. I don't know how long it's been.>
>>
Why were posts getting deleted in the last thread that really only went against somebodies opinion of how this campaign should go, but all of the people talking about how many people are in here are not getting posts deleted?
>>
Its been two years since you died. For us at least. I suspect Dras'Lea plays with time.
>>
>>20776209
Yes, that's why when we brought him back with necromancy he mistook us for his master. Because Eidolon looks a lot like us. Just because he was trying to bring Eidolon back doesn't make Eidolon his master.
>>
>>20776223
<Shenanigans, eh?>

"... Shenanigans, eh?"
<... Dras'lea is a horrible lay.> He responded. <And she was bored the entire time. Dunno why she had me do that...>
"It's been two years since you died." You say.
<Two years, really?> He said. <It feels... much longer than that. I've had a lot of time to think. Mostly... about my name, and family. I'd kind of like to be Aeriel again.>
>>
>>20776294
"I'm surprised she... did that. She wasn't even interested in tea with me."
>>
>>20776294
<She made you... do it with a female version of yourself? That's just weird.>
>>
>>20776240
I just checked the last thread on foolz, and they're usually quick enough to archive posts before they're deleted. I didn't see a single delete in the entire thread.
>>
>>20776294
And also every post relating to it, and any post that made mention of the deleted posts. It seemed like whoever it was had a lot invested in it to clear all of those posts like that. Matter of fact it was probably you.
>>
>>20776294
<I'm glad to hear it, Aeriel. According to Raziel, I've become somewhat of a family member to the Kalak myself, at least as far as magic is concerned, to the point where I was able to participate in the ritual to restore Cassiel to true life.>
>>
>>20776337
How the hell would Exabyte delete other people's posts? He's not a janitor, you know.
>>
>>20776336
They got deleted within just a minute or two of being posted. It was several people discussing how best to romance Gehenna.

I'm willing to believe that there is a janitor who follows the quest, but I doubt it's Exabyte himself.
>>
<She made you...>
<She's insane.> He responded. <Or... something. Not insane, not exactly. It's hard to describe her. she's like an elemental, or a golem- she doesn't seem to feel. Except curiousity, if anything, with some kind of... hunger.>
<I'm glad to hear it, Aeriel. According to Raziel, I've become somewhat of a family member to the Kalak myself, at least as far as magic is concerned, to the point where I was able to participate in the ritual to restore Cassiel to true life.>
<She can do that, now? Wow.> He responded. <That's seriously impressive.>
>>
>>20776422
"Yeah. However, we managed to bring Garreth back to reality as well. So it's not the great success it first seemed to be."
>>
>>20776422
It was hideously complicated, and very nearly didn't come off. And wound up releasing Gareth back into the world, unfortunately.
>>
>>20776422

We've had A new janitor/mod for a while. He's done pretty well, actually.

>>20776422
<It is. It didn't go exactly to plan, but it worked.>
Let's go back up on deck.

<It took a *lot* to do.> You say. <It didn't go exactly to plan, but it worked.>
The orb in hand, you make your way above deck, where Kristoph is leaning back, his skin pale and baby-soft, and his goatee entirely gone.
"How are you feeling?" Marigold asked.
"I need a drink." He responded. "But I'll live."
"Ishelda." Kaliel said. "How's your magic?"
>>
>>20776501
"Bearable. I presume you remember Aeriel?"
>>
>>20776501
"I've got enough for 1 or 2 spells, I think, but I'm really exhausted right now. Did we bring Grayson? I need a pillow. Oh, here, take the sphere - it's your brother."
>>
>>20776501
Rub his cheeks...
>>
>>20776501
"Better.

We had a guest drop this off." (show off the orb)

"Before anyone ask. It's Ragnarok. Or as he wishes to be called again, Aeriel."

"Something about a Arakoatoa compact with infinite boons or some such."
>>
>>20776501
Hug Kris. "I was afraid we had lost you."
>>
"Bearable." You say. "Oh, here, take the sphere- It's your brother."
"... What?" She asked, and took the sphere.

You run over to Krisk and rub his cheek. It's almost unbearably soft. If the process didn't involve having your skin flayed off, you might be tempted to do the same thing with your hands.
"I was afraid we had lost you." You say.
"I'm glad I'm still alive." He said. "...But... I... I tried using my anti-magic. It... didn't work."

The look on his face is one you've hardly ever seen before- the only one closest to it is when his sister died.
"I... I don't think I can be your knight anymore."
>>
>>20776501
Holy shit. Think about it. INFINITE BOONS. Of course, we aren't going to misuse that, but I believe that we should at least get Aeriel to manifest in some form so we can talk to him face to face.
>>
>>20776633
You do realize it's only things he's capable of actually doing, right? And even then, only if he wants to apparently.
>>
Before she leaves we might want to ask Kal if she can make a kalak body for Aeriel and whether it would be possible to integrate the cage into said body (in the driver's seat) or transfer Aeriel over from the cage (latter seems doubtful).

Ask Kal about feasibility (and her opinion on the plan) before talking to Aer.

Want at least some support for this idea before anything goes forward.

Dammit, time to console him.

"Sir Kristoph, you were my knight not because of your anti-magic but because of your heart. You are a good man, brave, loyal, strong and, best of all, candid. You are everything I want in a knight. >>
>>20776621

Hand him Rikar, see what happens

Your sense of right and fairness. You're still skilled with a sword, and your mind, though hurting at the moment, is still as sharp as it ever will be."
You take Rikar's scabbard off of your belt, and hand it to him.
He takes it... and pulls.
The sword stays in it's sheath, refusing to come free at Kristoph's will.
"Yeah." He says, refusing to look at you as he sets down the blade and the sheath. "The magic sword that senses honor or whatever doesn't trust me. Par for the course."

"Yes." You say. "Dras'lea stopped by, said she would deal with Gareth being back in the world, and gave me an Ariel in a ball. Kali has him right now."
Kaliel was examining the orb, which flickered with power every few moments. She's staring at it, mumbling.. and then she nods.
She raises up a hand, and then something burst into existence. A living, pulsing being, slowly growing and swelling into something that seems to resemble a kalak, with a large socket in the back of the head.
"Now, I'm not as good as Sardiel with this..." She mumbled, and shoved the sphere in the back of the kalak's head.

It twisted back, and the kalak's eyes opened.

He grinned, and pulled Marigold into a hug.
"Thanks, Kali!" He said, chuckling.

".... That is somewhat disturbing but I'm glad that you have a body now Aeriel."

Hug him.
>>
>>20777190
"Well. Now we're just missing Uriel."
>>
>>20777190
Address Aeriel.
"So, Aeriel, got something to say now that you've returned to life?"
>>
>>20777227
He's not alive. He's a ghost in a ball controlling a meat-puppet. Completely different.
>>
"Uh... what did you do, Kal? Should I be worried?"
"Not really." She said. "I made an empty shell, like I did with Cassiel, but he's puppeting it instead of being truly alive. Just kick him in the head and the orb should fall out."
"So, Aeriel, got something to say now that you've returned to life?"
"Pseudo-life, actually." Kaliel said.
He tapped his beak for a few moments.
"Happy birthday to me?" He asked.
>>
rolled 100 = 100

>>20777190
Let's make a sword for him now that he's sort of alive again.
>>
>>20777251
Yes.
>>
>>20777251
... Did we just make a second Rikar?
>>
>>20777251
Nah, he's got two swords, i'll veto that.

>>20777245
"Looks like we'll have another kalak in a robe running around."
>>
>>20777245
"Nothing to say about your last actions before you managed to get yourself killed?"
>>
>>20777267
We can only hope.
>>
Since we named Riker afterfellwinds old name, this one can be Ragnorak.
>>
>>20777245
Giggle. "Happy birthday."

>>20777251
For fuck's sake swordspammer. He doesn't even use swords.
>>
>>20777251
All it took was, what, 15 tries?
>>
>>20777245
"That's not what I wanted to hear, but we can talk about it later."
>>
>>20777271
How did Ragnorok get two swords? He's been dead for years. I'm going to support making the magic sword for him.
>>
>>20777251
Sonofa-

Meh, Exabyte can still ignore it if he wants to.

I actually advocate making a staff if you're going to go with it Exa, and to do it much later.
>>
>>20777285
This is why we should ignore the roll.
It doesn't count if you roll the same thing over and over again, and then picking the best.
>>
>>20777285
Only one try for a sword for ragnarok. I assume you're also counting sword votes for Kristoph and Kell?
>>
>>20777299
Hmm, agreed. As much as I hate seeing a nat 100 go to waste, it's probably best to ignore it just like the other posts.
>>
>>20777299
But this is a whole different weapon for a completely different person. Are you saying that Ishelda shouldn't give him a birthday present?
>>
>>20777311
Yeah, shame that such a nice rolled was used because of some fag.
So, congrats, random spammer fag, you managed to rustle a few jimmies.
>>
>>20777251
>It's one thing when you get a 100 in standard play, those I take and use, like with The Soul. In fact, it derailed my plans and I had to deal with that, and that's perfectly fine and I went with it anyway.
>But it's something completely different when you just make thousands of rolls aiming for a 100, and other people go 'this,' 'yes I concur' simply because it was a nat 100, expecting me to take it.

"Looks like we'll have another kalak in a robe running around." You say.
"Running?" He asked. "As if I'd do so anything as crass as running. Watch."
He spread his arms, closed his eyes, and his fingers started twitching, as if he were playing with puppets...

And Jormungandr and Sparrow were suddenly floating above New Arcturus, moved quickly.

He panted, and fell to one knee.
"Whoops." He said. "Took a... bit too much out of me."
"I didn't give you any magic energy." Kaliel said. "You'll need to regrow it the old fashioned way."
"Aw, sis." He said, frowning.
>>
>>20777307
yep, also who in their right mind would give kell a sword.
>>
>>20777331
ILU Exa
>>
>>20777299
Yep. And then he'll do his whole >Exubute ignoring me again. Fuk u Exabute. routine again.
>>
>>20777251
Do it.
>>
>>20777251
You have some kind of determination. I like your idea.
>>
>>20777331
"Almost as good as when I do it. I do have a portal I want you to cast, Ragnarock, but that won't happen for a few months yet. That will be your forgiveness for your past life."
>>
>>20777331
"I still haven't even decided if I'll let you keep the body."
>>
>>20777331
See, Exa hates that shit.

"Impressive, you'll have to teach me that trick one day. For now, let's meet with Cassiel"
<Cassiel, get up to the mooring towers, we found your brother.>
>>
>>20777331
"Be happy that she made the body for you."

Then. >>20777361
>>
>>20777331
"Sorry Kaliel, your body obviously isn't good enough. You'll have to take it back."

>>20777366
Do you mean Gehenna? Whatever, get all of the Kalak up here.
>>
>>20777366
I'm sure everybody who is running a half-serious quest hates that shit.
>>
Heh, you gotta love the mods when they actually do their job.
>>
"Impressive." You say. "You'll have to teach me that trick one day."
"Can't really be taught." He said. "You have to feel for the dormant portals. You might have some natural skill for it, might not."
"For now, let's meet with Gehenna."
<Gehenna, get up to the mooring towers.> You say, as Jormungandr docks there. <We found your brother.>
<What?!> He responded. You see him leap out of a tower window, a quill falling to the ground, as he darts up into the air, wings spread. He landed on Jormungandr, panting, and pulled Aeriel into a hug, clasping talons with his.
"... I'll be able to explain." Aeriel said. "Long story."
"Of course." Gehenna responded.
"You don't really care, do you."
"Nope. Been a long two years."

Kaliel took your hand.
"I think... I'd better take go soon." She said. "It's almost lunch, and I planned to go after breakfast. Would you mind... seeing me off?"
>>
>>20777522
"Of course. You've earned your 3 kisses, I think."
>>
>>20777522
"Of course." Wave to everyone else, "I'll see you down below, gonna go see Kali off."
>>
>>20777522
"Of course. I'll try not to get trapped in any vaults while you're gone."
>>
rolled 99 = 99

>>20777522
"I think you've earned your kiss. You said you had something to give me?"

Create a small veil, so nobody comes to find/interrupt us. This is between us and Kaliel.
>>
>>20777522
Take her hand

"...I'll miss you."

Also, earlier she implied she was expecting more than a kiss goodbye.
>>
>>20777522
"Of course, I'd say you'd more than earned it. Not that you needed to."
>>
Explain to Gehenna what happened, and also do >>20777549
>>
"Of course." You say, and turn back to everyone. "I'll see you down below. Gonna go see Kali off."
"Be safe." Zeke said.
"You've earned your three kisses, I think." You say, as the two of you make your way belowdeck the Sparrow, erecting a thin enchantment spell around you and her, your arms blazing with power.
"Oh, really?" She asked, and pulled something out from the desk near the bed. "Then how many kisses is this worth?" She asked, holding up what looks like an elven spellcrystal, but more intricately carved than anything you've seen.
"... You wanted to be a dragon." She said. "This is the spell for it."
>>
>>20777572
You know that only the first roll counts, right?
>>
>>20777597
"At least one more. It's great, thank you, Kal."
>>
>>20777597
"If this works, you can have as many as I can give you."
>>
rolled 51 = 51

>>20777597
"Ohmygodreallyyoudidthatformeiloveyousomuch"
>>
>>20777595
300, but when your posts were deleted and anything linking your posts were deleted it set the counter back.

>>20777597
"Thank You."

Kiss her. (and more)
>>
>>20777597
"Lets drop the pretense and do this already." Fade to black. End thread.
>>
>>20777597
"You certainly know how to please a girl."
>>
>>20777597
"This is worth more then a kiss, but..."
>>
>>20777622
I'd rather not. We should wait with that until she's returned. Give her a reason to actually come back and not get herself killed.
>>
>>20777649
In that case it doesn't matter. Thread usually ends around now anyways. Besides, /tg/ is a slow board. The thread might survive for a few more hours as it passes through the pages.
>>
"If this works, you can have as many as I can give you." You say.
"Well, you have to charge it, and it will only work on you..." She said, and you kissed her, pushing her partially onto her bed.
Suddenly, she stopped kissing back, instead just clinging to you, tightly.
"I'm- I'm going to miss you." She said, pushing her forehead up against yours.
>>
>>20777695
"I know. I will too. That's why you have to come back."
>>
>>20777644
I kinda agree with this anon, we should hold off on sexing Kal.

>>20777695
"I'm going to miss you too. But that's why I made the ring. Now we can hear each other's hearts if we get lonely. You know mine beats for you. You know what happens to it's beat whenever we touch."
>>
>>20777695
"It..might not be so bad, if Aeriel can explain trans-location at least."
>>
I say don't initiate sexings, but don't say no to them either.
>>
>>20777714
No they don't. I only close them when they 404 and I've never had two open at the same time. A couple of times they've lasted long enough but then Exabyte deleted them so he can repost the image.
>>
>>20777695
"Me too." Wrap our arms around here.
"I hope you're going to find what you're looking for, and return to me as quickly as possible. I'm glad we will at least have the rings."
>>
>>20777714
Then why are you wasting your time rolling?

>>20777695
"You better come back you know that? Otherwise I'll have to hunt you down."
>>
>>20777760
Oh, so you're a spineless autistic.
Good to know.
>>
>>20777760
Yeah, I don't see that.

You know he's still not going to take it right?
>>
>>20777783
It's funny because he uses asspie as an insult.
>>
>>20777791
No, go ahead, dance around like a retard.
It's amusing now.
>>
>>20777791
We'll tell you when to stop, doooon't worry.
>>
"I know." You say. "I will too. That's why you have to come back. But that's why I made the ring."
"Magic..." She said. "It's always melodramatic. You wouldn't have been able to make it... to make an artifact, if it didn't mean something." She said.
"You better come back, you know that?" You say, wrapping your arms around her. "I hope you're going to find what you're looking for, and return to me as quickly as possible."
"I will." She said. "I promise."
She kissed you again, and then pulled away, her cheeks pink.
"Well..." She said, somewhat awkwardly. "Uhm... Goodbye."
>>
>>20777820
Come on, we should do -something- naughty. Almost feel bad for poor Kaliel's blue cloaca.
>>
>>20777820
"Kaliel, I love you. Be safe... I think I should leave now, or I'll never let you go."
>>
>>20777820
Exa, can we get a thread end soonish, the autosage and the autistic spammer are dragging it a bit down, more focus on the former then the latter.
>>
>>20777820
"Bye, Kal.
Oh, Dras'lea was asking about you. If you see her, be nice. She's not that bad and there's nothing you could do against her power anyway."
>>
>>20777820
Grab her by the tits.
>>
>>20777820
If Dras'lea was able to visit us in our dreams through space and, possibly, time, we should be able to surprise Kaliel by doing that.

"You still need to sleep on your voyage, right?"
>>
"Kaliel, I love you." You say. "Be safe... I think I should leave now, or I'll never let you go."
"Well... While that wouldn't be too bad..." She said. "I think you're right. But you can 'never let me go' when I get back. I love you too, Ishelda." She said.

"You still need to sleep on your voyage, right?"
"Erm, right." She said.
"Okay." You say, and give her a cryptic smile, a hug, and another kiss. You take the crystal, and make your way abovedeck.

She gives you one final glance- And then a wide smile, and Sparrow slowly drifts away from the tower, before shooting north.

Good luck, Kaliel.

>End of thread!
>>
Now then, I said I'd talk about this here.

Kal/Ishy is gonna be three parts. First part is vanilla lesbian heavy on the romance and development, second part is Kalfuta, third part is Ishyfuta and also some summoned tentacles.
>>
>>20777920
Okay, we're good.

SMUTFAG! WHERE ARE YOU!
>>
>>20777958
Whoops, I spoke too soon.

Eh, works for me. Have you started?
>>
>>20777973
>>20777954
So, change of tactic, spammer fag, now that we find your showing of autism amusing instead of infuriating?
>>
>>20777958
So long as there's delicious cute lesbianism throughout.
>>
>>20777973
I admire your style far more my good man.

>>20777966
Yeah I've got an outline of the entire thing and a few solid paragraphs laid down.

>>20777990
Of course.

ALSO I've been let's say, 'commissioned' by someone I owe a favor to, to do a scene about Raziel, Kristoph, and some skeletons taking place in the vault.
>>
>>20777990
I agree.
Frankly, I can find the later 2 in a few minutes of browsing /d/, I just want the first.
>>
>>20777987
Dude. Nothing's wrong with BadEnglishFag.
>>
>>20778010
But it never happened in the vault. That's not the kind of place you casually go into for fun. Just make it Raziel's creepy basement.
>>
>>20778052
Huh, you're right, it's a little adorable, in a sad, look-at-the-three-legged-puppy kind of way.
>>
>>20778015
Yeah, I understand that. But other people wanna see the porn style smut too. And besides, it's kinda fun for me to write about weird things like sex'drites on cyborgs and detachable dicks on bird girls.
>>
>>20778010
You still kinda "owe" us some Ishelda/Raziel, if you aren't going to finish the other story.
>>
>>20778063
Well, it's supposed to be kind of a 'what if' thing from the last thread where they were making out in the vault. The person in question may want to change that now, I dunno.

>>20778072
We'll see what happens. No promises though.
>>
>>20779124
Nice. It's good to see Grayson getting some love too.
>>
>>20779124

So is bad english now grounds for deletion? That's shit. I vote to keep the story. I personally like them.
>>
>>20779698
It was funny the first time, I think it's got stale now. But deleting it is getting into 'stop liking what I don't like' territory.
