Last time on Mobile X Destiny, Anon-kun broke the news about Chiyo's abduction by the Destiny Syndicate to Roslyn, Miyuki, and Sayuri. Roslyn fled to inform Tadashi, and in the meantime, Anon and company agreed to form a plan of action. Heading into English, Anon-kun teased the tsundere a bit before she was taken out of class by her brother. Anon-kun was grilled by the English teacher, but Anon put him in his place by relating his 'story' concerning his mother. In gym, Anon-kun spent time with Sora and caught a glimpse of Sora's home life, and as class started to end, Anon-kun hung out with Sayuri. As he headed home, he bumped into Miyuki and upset Sayuri by shrugging and looking to Miyuki instead of saying outright whether or not the diminutive girl could spend time at his house or not.

You open the door to your house and step inside, sighing. You set your bag down and find a seat on the couch, and you sit down roughly. You didn't really mean to upset Sayuri, you were just hesitant in getting her involved with the Syndicate again. With Chiyo being kidnapped by someone you've never seen and someone that could potentially be Ramius, you feel on edge. Miyuki leans over the back of the couch and looks at you. "Want something to drink?" she asks.

"I don't know." You really don't. You've got three hours to kill before you have to be up at Roslyn's house. That's three hours spent not knowing the future, and that's enough to make anyone wary. "Maybe some water."

"Alright." She gets up and heads into the kitchen, leaving you to your own devices for a few moments. You sit down on the couch and rest for a while. Miyuki comes back in with a glass of water and hands it to you. "Thanks."

"No problem." She sits down next to you and leans her head back against the couch. "What are we going to do?"

"We'll go to Roslyn's house," you say, "And then we'll find our answers. Once we know what they know, we can make a move. Until then..." You take a breath. "...Until then, we're going to need to relax and keep our head on straight. So for now, let's just relax a bit and, when the time comes, head out." Miyuki nods and then picks up the remote, turning the TV on. You let her flip through the channels and you close your eyes for a bit.

You open your eyes with a sigh and watch TV with her. Nothing really special seems on right now, and she settles on a local news network. You aren't really paying attention as the news anchor drones on and on about the latest news. It's not all that interesting.

You slip your phone out of your pocket and stare at the screen unsure where to go from here. Before you realize it, you're typing a message to Sayuri. 'Hey Sayuri... I wanted to apologize for earlier. With everything that's going on, I'm... I'm not exactly doing as well as I should." You stare at the message, then shake your head before deleting it all and starting over. 'Sayuri-chan, I'm sorry for earlier. I'm not exactly thinking straight with this situation regarding Chiyo.' Something about the message still doesn't seem right, so you start to backspace. 'Sayuri-chan." You slowly backspace more. 'Sayuri."

Bzzt bzzt bzzt. You blink when your phone vibrates in your hand. You check your inbox and see you have a message from Sayuri. You can't help but grin when you see her picture on your phone with the embarrassed look on her face. You take a breath and open the message. 'Anon-kun, sorry about exploding at you.......Chiyo has me worried, and I know it must be making you worried too.'

You aren't sure how to respond to this. You weren't exactly expecting a text from her first.

'It's okay. I know you didn't mean anything by it. Just let keep me in the loop, okay?~ Love you, Anon.' You start to type a response, but you don't know what to say. You glance over at Miyuki, who turns and meets your gaze.

"Something wrong?" she asks with a tilt of her head.

"Nah," you say with a shake of the head. "Just texting Sayuri."

"Is everything okay with her?" she asks.

"Yeah," you reply, "We exchanged apologies."

"That's good." You nod your head and then turn back to the phone.

Your first and only response that comes to mind is the thing you send. 'I know.' You can only imagine how she might respond to that. Almost immediately, she sends you a response. '<3'

Oh, well that's a cute response. At least she liked it. You sit there on the couch with Miyuki awhile longer, and eventually she changes the channel. A few hours pass, and it's almost time to be at Roslyn's house. You go wash up and slip your shoes on. "Are you ready to go?" you ask Miyuki. "That is, if you still want to come with."

"Yeah, I do," she says, standing up. She slips into her shoes and follows you out the door. The two of you make your way out to Roslyn's house and have a relatively calm walk out there. Remembering the message's instructions, you ensure no one follows you. The streets are fairly empty tonight, surprisingly. You hear thunder crackle in the sky above you again.

"Did they mention the storm on the news?" you ask.

"We're supposed to get a lot of rain soon," Miyuki replies. "That's all they really said, though."

"Ah." You see Roslyn's house up ahead, and the two of you approach the front door. You knock a few times, and Tadashi answers the door.

"Anon-kun?" he asks, a surprised look on his face.

"No," he says with a cautious look on his face. "Er, come inside. Oh, Miyuki? Come on in as well, make yourself comfortable."

"Thanks, Tadashi," she says. Once the two of you enter the house, he closes the door and locks it back.

"So, you want to explain this to me?" Tadashi asks you. "About you being told to come here." He looks aprehensive, so you show him the text message. "Whose number is this...?" he mutters.

"That would be mine." You all look up at the stairs, and you recognize the man standing there. Crossfire. "You weren't followed, correct?" he asks, directing the question to you.

"No, I don't thin--" You're cut off by Tadashi's words.

"You," he says heatedly.

"Yes, me," Crossfire says with a grin. The two of them stare each other down, and then Crossfire shrugs apologetically. "Sorry I didn't tell you about this first, Tadashi."

You glance between the two of them, confused. "You really need to work on your communication skills," Tadashi says with a shake of his head. "I thought this was a giant trap by the Syndicate to have Anon-kun lead them straight here."

"My apologies," Crossfire says as he walks down the stairs. "I wanted to tell you, but you know how work gets."

You sit back and let them talk. Now might be a good chance to learn about Crossfire, since it appears that Tadashi knows him. "I understand work gets crazy," Tadashi says coolly, "But when you start using my house as a base of operations without telling me at all..." He narrows his eyes. "I think the phrase is 'dick move.'"

"I said I was sorry," Crossfire says defensively. "Come on. Is this really all that bad? I've been looking out for your sister for years. The least you could do is cut me some slack. Things got complicated."

Tadashi steps toward Crossfire and bares his fist. "And if things got so complicated that Roslyn got hurt?" You can see the intensity in his eyes as he Crossfire down. "The GPS is supposed to be secretive and protect the Gears. Your 'complications' could have just ruined that objective."

"He wasn't followed," Crossfire says calmly. "Put your fist down and relax. Besides, I called him here because of the news I received a little while ago."

"What news?" Tadashi asks.

"About Saiyama-san." Tadashi takes a step back and visibly calms down. "There you go. That's the Tadashi I know," Crossfire says with a slight smirk. In the lull of conversation, you decide to speak.

"Wait," you say, holding your hands up in disbelief. "GPS? Are you two talking about a fucking TomTom or something, and if so, why?"

"Eh?" The both turn to you. Crossfire then glances at Tadashi. "So much for secrecy," he says sourly.

"He was bound to find out one way or another," Tadashi says evenly. "Anon-kun, I presume Crossfire told you he was in a group dedicated to stopping the Syndicate?" You nod. "That group is called the Gear Protection Squad, or GPS for short. And yes, I know that name sounds strange, but it suffices. We locate Gears and their owners and do our best to shield them from the Destiny Syndicate's influence."

"'We'?" you repeat.

"Yeah. I'm a member of the GPS, too, though it's more of a technicality than anything. I don't actively serve on the front lines; instead, I do my work by protecting my baby sister," Tadashi explains.

"You've been keeping this from me since day one? Really? This sort of information would've been a lifesaver, Tadashi."

"He didn't tell you," Crossfire interjects, "Because he's not allowed to. The general populace doesn't know about the Destiny Syndicate, right? The same goes for the GPS. We're both shadow agencies, Anon-kun. If the country, let alone the world, knew we existed, there would be hell to pay on both sides. That sort of conflict would mean the Syndicate would turn to use its almost infinite resources to subdue the world openly, and then we'd have the Salem Witchhunts all over again." You arch a brow at his words. "It was a period in United States history where people were branded as witches, then burned at the stake without due process for something they weren't."

"Right..."

"The point is, you shouldn't know the GPS exists, but current circumstances allow for leeway within these strict rules. You know about us now, so you ought to make the best of the knowledge now."

"Right," you say. "Sorry."

Tadashi waves his hand. "No worries." He turns to Crossfire. "So what do we know?"

"Two things," he says gravely. "One, we had confirmation on the girl that picked Saiyama-san up. Her designation in the Syndicate is 'Tempest.' Eyewitness reports state she can create fire and lightning, but we're not entirely sure how."

"Wonderful," Tadashi says quietly. "And the other?"

You hear footsteps from the stairs, and you glance up to see Roslyn coming down. You hazard a glance over at Miyuki and see her frowning. "What's going on?" Roslyn asks.

"Syndicate news," Tadashi says. "What about Chiyo, though? Any confirmation on her location?"

"I'm still waiting on that," Crossfire replies. "I should be getting an email shortly." He reaches into his pocket and produces a sleek looking cellphone. "Speak of the devil."

"You've got news?" Roslyn asks.

"She's been taken out of town," Crossfire says. "They've got her located at a garage maybe forty klicks south of here."

"They certainly love their warehouses and similar buildings, don't they?" Tadashi mutters.

Anon is dex based over strength. The kevlar vest will slow him down and I imagine Ramius is a good enough shot to not have to worry about it anyways. We'll have to rely on the smoke grenades and flashbangs at this point. What kind of weapons does he have available for us besides the knives?

And there is no reason the others with us can't carry the medkits. Probably best if we head straight to that location and but stop early and approach by foot. Best way to scope out the garage to make our approach.

I did a few searches for something, but I can't get an image that looks right, so I'll give the layout.

The building itself is approximately 300 feet long by 120 feet wide, standing approximately twenty feet high. There are six garage-styled doors along the west side of the building, and there are two single entrances, one on the north side and one on the south side. On the east side of the building, there is a double door entrance that, from images, looks to open into a foyer and then into a set of small offices. Windows are all boarded up, and the building would appear abandonded if not for the images of a van pulling in to one of the garage doors. The single doors and the double doors are all made of steel.

Satellite images also show six guards on patrol, moving in pairs around the building. Two pairs make four rounds, then one pair enters the building and is replaced by a different pair. This means that there are at least eight Destiny Syndicate operatives in the warehouse, plus one hostage. One operative is a Gear owner.

Other useful information that could come in handy for our upcoming venture:

- Anon, Miyuki, Roslyn, Tadashi, and Crossfire are the only party members we have. Sayuri's at home thanks to indecision on Anon's part, Chiyo's obviously in captivity, and Sora...well, she's not here, and that's how it is.
- There is a storm coming up ahead. Considering that Tempest can create fire and lightning, this COULD be used to our advantage.
- WE DON'T HAVE SAYURI. The only means of healing we have at the moment are the medkits, so keep that in mind when asking for healing. Medkits are also probably scarce as well, so careful planning on who gets healing priority is a must.
- We're facing against both Tempest and Ramius in this battle. It is uncertain whether or not Ramius has strengthened up since our last encounter with him, but we'll assume he has. Either way, exercise extreme caution.
- We also have physical weapons, too, alongside other equipment. Proper assignment of arms and other gear may also be essential to this fight.

That's all I can think of, at least.

Crossfire should take the AUG, he's probably the best trained of the group firearm-wise. Taking one of the handguns each would make sense, but the issue is that Anon/Miyuki likely have no experience with them and would more likely to be a liability than anything. Give one to everyone I guess, in addition to a knife

Kevlar vests for everyone but us, smoke grenades/flashbangs for Tadashi and Crossfire, medkits for Miyuki.

The big thing is that Tadashi and Crossfire have the most experience, so they need to be on the ground, and Miyuki should be with them in order to be covered/provide aid if possible. Though Tadashi might be a better option for piloting Roslyn if we need to, our lack of ability with a gun makes us a better choice of pilot since we've done it once before and the other two candidates are better placed elsewhere.

we're going to be coming from the North(warehouse is south of here, after all), we're probably best if we drive out as close as we feel we can risk and moving in on foot so it'll be more difficult to detect us. Circle around and come in from the South(the guards are circling the building, but I'd wager they're expecting us to come from the North, since it's where they know we are), have Tadashi, Crossfire and Miyuki in one team, and Roslyn with us.

They approach on foot from the south side, all stealthy-like, and take down one of the pairs of guards with knives/Miyuki's abilities. We move in with Roslyn and try to get Chiyo out of the building via the South entrance/draw out Ramius and Tempest, since getting them away from the warehouse will be our best bet. If it looks like we can get Chiyo out, we try it; if not, we draw them out while Tadashi and Crossfire handle the guards that stay behind and get Chiyo out while Roslyn goes all were-mecha and we hold off Tempest/Ramius.

That's what I got.

"Alright," you say. "Crossfire, take the AUG. You're probably our best marksman."

"You have no idea," he says with a grin.

"I've never used a pistol before," you say with a frown. "Have you, Miyuki?" She shakes her head. "Well, we may as well take them in the event we need them. Pistols for everyone, and a knife as well. Everyone could use a vest, but I'll forego that in favor of mobility." Roslyn glances at you, but you shrug it off. "Smoke grenates and flashbangs can go to Tadashi and Crossfire, and Miyuki, you could bring a few medkits along."

You close your eyes and think. "We'll be coming in from the North, so we ought to get as close as we can without being detected. Once we get to a good point, we should probably move in on foot since it'll be easier to sneak onto the grounds. From there, we circle around to the South side. Tadashi, Crossfire, and Miyuki can then move in on one team, while Roslyn comes with me. Your group," you say, gesturing to the trio, "Will attack from the South and remove one pair of guards, preferably silently."

You look at the three of them. "That means knives and anything you can do to help, Miyuki." She nods. "Roslyn and I can then head to the West side of the building and enter through the garage door the van went through. If we're lucky, which I'm not counting on, we find Chiyo relatively close to there. More likely, we encounter Ramius and this Tempest chick, in which case we need to draw them out and away from the warehouse. Tadashi and Crossfire, you'll need to keep removing the guards and potentially infiltrate the place to get Chiyo out. Roslyn, we may end up having to use your mecha form at that point, and if Tempest is a Gear owner, that means mecha fight."

"Surprisingly," Crossfire says, "That sounds well-thought out. I think that might actually work."

"Loving the confidence boost," you say sourly.

"Well, honestly, Anon-kun," Tadashi says, "You're not known for your brilliant tactics. We narrowly avoided serious trouble last time, so this... this is good."

"Thanks. I guess."

"I believe in you, Anon-kun," Roslyn says reassuringly. "At least, I think I do."

You shake your head. "Let's go." You distribute the gear to everyone and get into the vehicle Crossfire provides.

"If there's a god of war," Crossfire says, "I bet he's saying to himself, 'This plan is so totally going to work.'" Tadashi shoots him a dirty look. "What?"

"Don't be an ass," Tadashi says. "We've got this. They won't see this coming."
