While there is a distinct possibility of her becoming a yandere variant, she also shown to be capable under duress and has a sort of maturity that comes with a lifetime of hardship. She's been burned badly by life and has coped with it by crushing on Murderface, but as Chiaki's subordinate, she'll be exposed to almost every bit of the Warmaster training that Chiaki will experience. As long as she doesn't bury her head in the ground (or in Matsuda's chest) and isn't scarred by everything, she could become a very capable MG.We just need to make sure that she doesn't turn into Iori 2.0, or the MG equivalent of Petyr Baelish with frightening illusion powers.

Guys, I'm less worried about making Midori into something that inconveniences us(yandere, whatever) and more about just emotionally wrecking a poor kid like her. This is less about self-preservation and more about not being a douchebag.Besides, not all emotionally obsessive people get "entertaining" mental problems when broken, sometimes they just get depressed and shut down. :|
>>20597262This will be quite a journey for both Chiaki and Midori. Perhaps Midori can teach Chiaki how to be more of a human being while Chiaki provides Midori stability and emotional support. Kind of like what Mami seemed to intend with Iori's relationship with Chiaki, only with less clingy over-protectiveness. As odd as it sounds, I think that Midori has a higher chance of developing a healthy relationship (platonic or otherwise) with Chiaki moreso than Iori, despite the less than auspicious introduction of having her legs shot out from under her.
