"Will Ayasaki Hayate please proceed to the Student Council's office? The President would like a word with you."
Thinking that this was the signal, you head back to the clocktower.

There, at the base, you meet Hinagiku waiting for you.
"She's up in my office. This is your chance to talk to her." she tells you as she walks away.
"Thank you again Hinagiku-san."
You ride the elevator up, unsure of just what's waiting for you.

There she was standing on the balcony over-looking the school.
She's grown from the lovely little girl you remember to a stunningly beautiful woman.
Even if her back was turned to you, you are still sure that it's her.
You would never forget that golden blonde hair that you had the pleasure of brushing so long ago.
Its her alright, your first love, Athena Tenousou, A-tan.

WAT SAY/DO?
>>
Hello A-tan. You were absolutely correct. My parents are scum.

>Fuck yeah, MSQ.
>>
>>20588969
I'm not all that familiar with the HnG canon (after following these threads since day one, this kind of surprises even me). I'm not sure how... familiar, I guess, we should be with her after not seeing each other in so long.

What the hell. "It's good to see you again, Athena. Have you been well?"

Don't be a faggot. Be direct.
>>
>>20589035
>>20589063
Well, basically, if this follows the HnG canon more accurately, she'd claim that she doesn't know who we are, and then cry after we leave.

To beat that, we have to hopefully shock her into talking to us by apologizing. Mostly because we actually recognize our parents are dicks, as opposed to normal Hayate who's too nice to point that out.

I just lost all interest in it, although, if I found it, I might reread it.

Athena Tenousou, the girl that once stole your heart.
The one you promised to spend forever with.
The one that turned you into a butler.
Your first master. Your first love.
The first girl to have broken your heart.
"It's good to see you again, Athena. Have you been well?" you ask as you step out of the elevator.
She turns around, that golden mane dancing as she did.
"Excuse me?" She asks, "Who are you? Are you a new member of the student council? I was told that the President wanted to discuss some things with me and so I came hence."

She doesn't seem to remember you.
That's... unfortunate.

You relent and let go of her soft hand, the fear showing on her face making you do so.
"I'm sorry..." you say finally as you head over to the balcony and get up on the rails.
"I'll see you some other time A-tan"
"Wait...! Don't ju-" She tries to keep you from jumping but it's too late.

You leap from the railing towards one of the cluster of trees below.
Crashing, tumbling and breaking through branches, you hit the ground in relatively one piece.

You stood up and brushed off the leaves and dirt clinging to your suit.
"Sooo.. things didn't go as planned I suppose?" Hinagiku, who happened to have been standing under one of the trees asks.
"Nope."
"And you needed to JUMP OFF THE FREAKING CLOCKTOWER BECAUSE OF THAT? Are you crazy?"
"Yep." you answer simply.

"Err... What?" she seemed to have been too occupied thinking of something else to hear the rest of what you said.
"Nothing, it's nothing... Have a good day Hinagiku-san."

Hayate does not exist in this (simulated) iteration of whatever home canon he came from.

>WILD SPECULATION TIME

Perhaps escaping from the simulation involves coming to terms with the fact that there are many universes which involve his home, but the majority of them may have nothing to do with him? Trying to insert one's self into a foreign universe is not something that the IDPKB would want its agents to do. In this, Hayate realizes that he is but one individual in a very large metaverse, and should learn to accept reality how it is and stop making the universe conform to his views. Even in the IDPKB, Hayate seems to actively try to draw everyone in and change them.

The only thing not mentioning was an ad for a new Nintendo rythm game for the Wii that said in bold white letters on a red background, DANCING! FEEL! MOVE!

These, when combined with an out of place American STOP sign near the entrance of the park completes the enigmatic phrase STOP DANCING FEEL again.

You investigate the STOP sign.
It really is out of place.

Not only was it an English sign in the middle of a japanese city, it was also not placed in a logical place for a stop sign since there were no crosswalks or junctions near by.

The sign was relatively new judging from the scratch-less appearance, and it also seems to have been pounded into the sidewalk instead of cemented into place.
You check the back of the sign and find a local phone number which you jot down [03-3993-1578]

finding nothing else on or near it, you leave the sign and head off.

You take a look at the phone number in your hand and try to do a reverse search on it.
The phone-books available at the combini, though obsolete, should be helpful.

You purchase one of them and look through them to try and find this enigmatic Dan.
A quick 15 minutes later, you find the number listed under a different name but in a neighborhood nearby.

Wasting no more time, you pocket the phone-book and head to the place.
-------------------------------------------------

The address listed in the phonebook was a shopping district.
The narrow street, lined with shops on either side, was covered by a transparent roof to keep the elements out.

The Singpil residence itself was part of small set of apartments build above a meatshop.

You knock on the door calling out to Dan.

"Alright, I'll leave. I suppose you've never heard of the IDPKB, either. Good bye."

Leave, but find a place where we can observe the apartments, and see when he leaves. We can tail him then.
>>
>>20591468
Might as well check out the game.

We can come back and harass Singpil later.

Or hunt down some guy named Dancing Phil.

You leave the man alone, making sure to remember his address, and head out of the shopping district.

This is all going nowhere.
It's been a long empty week in this world, interacting with people that seemed like nothing more than incomplete copies of themselves.
You need to get out.
You need to break out.
But still, you have no idea just how to accomplish that.

You have some leads, true, but they might not even be that.
Your last encounter with the phrase Stop Dancing Feel, leading you to what appeared to be a dead end.
There must be something you're missing.
Something that's been right infront of you all this time.

Still not knowing what that was though, you decide to check out the game from the newspaper.

You head back to the school and dutifully await your master's dismissal.
Making sure to avoid the scrutiny of the security personnel that might still be after you.

After picking Nagi up, you bring her home on the bike with you.
"Milady," you ask as you parked the gold-plated bike "have you heard of this game?"
You pull out the paper and show her the ad.
"OH, I have that. We have controlling shares for the company that made that. I got sent a copy about 5 days ago... It's a dancing game though, so I had not much interest in it."

"can we play it?" you ask your tiny master
"Err... sure, but I'm not very good at this kind of stuff."
"No worries milady, I, Ayasaki Hayate, will do my best to assist you."
"Mhmmm, okay! Let me go get changed first and then we'll play!"

----------------------------------------------------------------
later, you head to Nagi's gaming room to find the console all set up and the game ready to go.

There, Nagi was waiting for you.
"Okay Hayate, let's play!"

I feel like this is a stupid question, but did we ever try asking the Dude what we were even supposed to do in this sim? He never gave us a briefing, just told us to escape. I thought it was weird that we'd gone all this time without checking in with him. Would it be too much to ask to see if we can mentilate him?

What's the worst that could happen? We face-palm at the ease of the mission or he doesn't answer. No harm, no foul, right?

You and Nagi begin to play the game.
It's a rhythm based dancing game as expected, and you managed to play it fairly well.
You mistress, on the other hand, what with her poor physiology and bad reflexes, sucked at it.

The game itself was a colorful almost disco-ish world where you had to mirror the in-game avatar's movements with your own.
Like as expected from many japanese games, it came with its own liberal sprinkling of Engrish words used for emphasis.
"YEAAAAAAH! DANCING!" the in-game announcer said after you cleared each section of the game.
"FEEEEEEEL!" he shouted for every combo accomplished.

At the third song or so, your mistress having had enough physical activity for the day, collapses in tiredness.

You stop playing and see to Nagi, the little tired girl now collapsed onto the Persian rug.
"Milady, are you alright?"
"I'M okay Hayate.. I just need to rest a bit."
"Want me to get you anything to drink?"
"No... I'm okay. Continue playing, I want to see you beat this game that made a fool of me."
"But Milady!"
"Hayate! This is an order! Beat this game for me!"
"Yes, milady! I will do as you say."

You put her on one of the nearest couches and continue, proceeding to clear stage after stage of the game.
At the final stage, a hard, fast song titled BREAKOUT that tested your reaction time, you barely manage to succeed and finally clear the game.

"Milady! I have successfully finished it!" you turn to your mistress but find her sleeping on the couch.
You turn back to the game to save your progress when you're surprised to find a familiar face on the screen.

It's Mike.
Or at the very least, a CGI gorilla that looked like Mike.

Well, at least we got the fucking hint we wanted.

I still want to go kick the shit out of Dancing Phil though.

Finally! Progress!
>>
I can't help but think that this is actually "you failed this test" because we engaged too much in looking for exits within the simulation itself.
>>
>>20592124
Yeah I'm fairly certain we failed, specially in LG's eyes atleast.
>>
OK, no A-Tan clues, but at least progress.

My bet is that the whoel simulation went bonkers and was 10 times harder when it was supposed to be and the whole STOP DANCING FEEL was the bureau's attempt to break through the whole mess and get us out.

Also No Science/Sousuke?
