RECAP

>The salvage team returns with a large selection of goods, around 10k in guns and ammo, mostly the same gear you already had with the exception of a few Avenger class guns. Around 4k in credit chips, the ships are mostly too damaged to risk taking for yourself and the frigate that isn't you outclassed by a great deal so it would be a downgrade if anything.
>You did find orders for an assualt on a Blood Pack base on a rural moon however.

>The ship made it through the battle without a scratch, money was well spent.

>Oolot wishes to speak with you when you have a moment
>Switch wishes to speak with you before you select a destination.

>Cerberus has requested your prescense in the Horse Head Nebula in a backwater unnammed system. (No time limit)
>You found no trace of the N7 Operative you were after, only a pitched battle orchestrated by Operative Morpheus who apologized afterward but he hoped it would draw Rennick out of hiding to assist you.

BACKSTORY DUMP

>Rox Oolot

Born on his native Tuchanka, Rox Oolot was born into the world of violence his people perpetuate. He was the largest of his litter and grew to be enormous even by Krogan standards. His size made him a natural at hand to hand fighting and he easily overpowered many great warriors even early in his life.

Life is always cruel on Tuchanka however and an attack on Clan Rox left a great deal of his people dead and he decided that rather than try to rebuild as they had time and time again perhaps leaving for greener pastures were in order. There was a great exodus and the Clan Rox pretty much dissolved for a time.

and while Krogan loyalty is among the hardest to win it is also among the best in the galaxy. You trust each other with your lives and you don't see it changing, he'd follow you into hell itself as long as you stand beside him.
>>
>>20482383

He traveled far and wide across the galaxy, finding work as most Krogan's do, as body guards, bouncers, mercenaries. He even tried a period in the Blood Pack but found their methods along with the Vorcha henchmen not to his liking. He was just pissing away his time when he met you, you were unlike most humans. You stood confident even when he threatened to break you, he'd killed bigger humans with his bare hands. He was caught off guard when you tossed him through a table after trying to take you out of the bar you were in. Oolot went into a rage and between the two of you the bar was absolutely demolished. The fight spilled out into the streets and eventually planetary security came to take you both to jail. You sat quietly, both of you beaten and bruised in the holding cell when you said, "Damn, you keep getting bigger the more sober I get." He laughed and you introduced yourself as Michael Clairmont, the first time you'd used that name in years.

You've been with each other ever since, Oolot knows much of your past with the Alliance but you left certain details unknown to even him. You can tell he feels kinship to you, both of you lost your homes to violence
>>
>>20482335
Talk to Oolot, then talk to Switch, then take the choice gear for ourselves. We need to find a good market to sell the rest of the stock.
>>
>Talk to Oolot

Oolot stretches in the cargo bay and turns to you as you approach.

"Captain" he nods

"You wanted to see me?" you ask

He jerks his head over to a pile of crates at the side.

"I was gonna ask Michael, how much do you plan on telling these guys?"

[ ] I think honesty is the best policy, I will hide nothing if they ask me.

"I see, well the time may come sooner rather than later, in the meantime we should get a game plan together on avoiding Aria , she hasn't stopped being a problem just because we've got new friends." he says turning around and laying his gun on a workbench.

"Right, I'm still working on that..."

Tuchanka always needs more guns but getting past the CDEM is always a pain in the ass what with the constant search and seizure, supposedly they're only making sure they don't get ship mounted weapons but they'll seize just about anything if you don't play your cards right. Other than Krogans not too many people are in the market for guns that don't already want us dead. Eclipse maybe but trying to arrange a meeting with them is a level of hell I'm not sure we're prepared to deal with." he grunts pulling his gun apart.

"Later" Oolot mumbles picking up a small screw driver.

More backstory

>Switch

What little you know of Switch is mostly reputation, he is a hacker of sorts, he has connections to nearly every corner of the Terminus through a network of anonymous extranet users. While relatively physically frail he prides himself on knowing a great many things and strives to prove his worth to everyone around him, you trust him as much as one can trust a Salarian and he seems capable if a little off. You know him only by his handle, his real name having never been truly important to you as he never knew yours either.
>>
>>20482651
I'm thinking we could get to Tuchanka with the weapons in our cargo. Although, it might be a good idea to look into building some kind of hidden compartments in our cargo hold and putting the really valuable stuff in there.

Switch's hands glide over the command console, he turns to you as you enter

"Ah, thanks for coming. I was going to let you know Sushoo thinks he's contacted the Drell you had requested, I think I may have also found us a doctor. We will need to head to Kahje to see if we can get the Drell to join us and the doctor is on the Citadel.
If you want to head there just let me know.

More Backstory

>Sushoo

You've talked at length with him on multiple occasions and despite his insistance that he loves space and traveling he is quite obviously homesick.
Where Sushoo picked us his trade he won't say but it's obvious he's put a great deal of time and study into it and you don't believe you've eaten the same meal any night he's been on board, sometimes it's familiar, sometimes bizarrely alien, but always delcious and served with Sushoo's trademark overbearing politeness.
You're honestly surprised when Sushoo tells you he is a master of unarmed combat, it's hard to picture a Hanar as anything but the most non-threatening creature in the galaxy. He offers to demonstrate if you promised you would let him know if he hurts you. You of course oblige and it a matter of moments you're constricted in a perfect hold unable to breathe, you tap out and he apologizes profusely at length which you insist is unnessary.

It bears investing why he has not sought to return home, he is obviously a Hanar of great skill and intellect and you have a hard time imaginging they wouldn't welcome him back.

You know now that we have to start a game in the ship now.

I vote Dark Heresy.
>>
>>20485945
This is a great idea, actually. Build some unity among the crew. I doubt Rin will roleplay much, though.
>>
>>20485835

get the best models they have. In fact, take several of the best models they have, for all in our crew.

And I'm not sure how I feel about cerberus biotic implants as well... although perhaps we should leave that one to the Doctor.
>>
>>20485988
As long as Shushoo DMs I think we will be fine.

I do believe there were implants in the box as well but we haven't had them implanted yet (it would have to be done by a VI)

They have a comparable Omni-tool from Polaris for 20,000.
They also have an upgrade available for Tech Armor for 50,000, it would nearly double the strength of what your current rig has.
>>
>>20486089
GET DAT UPGRADE!
Also, I don't care either way on the omni-tool, but we should get a few core rule books for the most popular holotop RPGs.
>>
>>20486089

Get them. Money is no object. Well at least for now.
>>
>>20486043
Michael will of course play depending on his personality. Swashbuckler, wizard, bard, paladin et cetera.
>>
>>20486057

Right you guys are still using the L3 at this time.
You have a set of L4's in the box from Volkov.

Lol, this is getting seriously meta, you guys want to start a tabletop game with your crew?
>>
>>20486114

also this, although if we're going to go that way, I sure hope it will be off-the-screen, perhaps referenced in random chats. We can't forsake the real action for it!
>>
>>20486152
Oh yeah, totally. Like one of those transit options. Instead of sleeping we play games with the crew.
Also, I imagine warhammer minis and terrains would be good for planning.

ABSOLUTELY What better way to connect with our crew?
Lets get some fantasy type game.
>>
>>20486184
Oh and warhammer minis too. I bet oolet would love orks or chaos.
>>
>>20486215

No. Let's stick with Omnitool'n'Holograph games, don't bring miniatures into it. We may have lots of money now, but if we buy an army for every team member, we'll run dry before you know it.

I'm grow more proud of this quest by the day.

You decide picking up a game or two would help the crew bond on the whole. You grab virtual books for pretty much all the classics at a great rate and enough minis and maps to make the clerk jealous at the game store. 1000 credits later and you think the crew should be ecstatic.

...or would that be too meta? I suppose we are a bit paranoid. At least take 200k and set it aside as a "retirement fund".

No, not at all, feel free to move the money however you please.

The colonies are ripe for investment indeed, many people haven't had a large degree of success as they were unable to coordinate all the resources to come in at once and piracy in the traverse is always a problem. Luckily you know some guys now after cleaning up those pirates.

[ ] Farming-You will essentially dominate the crops coming off planet for this investment.
[ ] Pre-fab structures- You can build quite a few houses to attract colonists to the world but fair warning most colonists prefer to own rather than rent, may not be the most profitable venture.
[ ] Defenses- It's a small colony, most pirates won't dare attack a world directly but you could buy some serious hardware for the world with his money
[ ] Ming's discretion- Ming will invest this money to the best of his ability.

Sure, pre-fabs SOUND like a good idea, but there was that market crash after the Geth attack on Eden Prime, and that was from a colony in Alliance space.
