OK THANK YOU FOR YELLING AT ME
>>
And apparently also somewhat crazy and with a death wish. We're still on Benning, yes?
>>
The MSV I<3 Ponies is now a fierce fighting machine, with the addition of the Javelin launchers, heavy military grade frigate armor and huge new engines you feel you could slug it out with a ship of the line and have a decent chance of coming out smiling.

Rin worked around the clock but you should be ready to launch.

The crew knows what's on the table but you didn't include them in the backstabbing plot, you were afraid Cereberus would find out if you told too soon.

You are standing in the cockpit with Switch and Oolot.

The ships systems read all green and the improved interface begins launch proceedures.

"Where to Captain?" Switch asks

>To Erebus
>Other (Default on the cereberus OP)
>>
jump into dark space and have some thorough discussion with the crew. They know the magnitude of the task from their paychecks, but we need them to be completely dependable. And hear their opinions would be nice.

you know, somewhere away from cerberus spy devices, in case such are planted at the spaceport.
>>
>>20457048

Indeed for the moment
>>

Hey tim I think I got the a rough draft of the personality mechanics done. Want me to dump it?
>>
TIM I love you
>>
>>20457085

You plot of a course that will leave you on the far edge of Benning's system. You give Switch the order and he begins pre-flight procedures, Rin joins him in the cockpit at Navigation.

You should lift off shortly.

>Oolot supervised the loading of several containers, that were left for you on the dock. They passed his scrutiny, looks like your care package from Volkov has arrived.

>>20457107

Absolutely, I think we may be needing a personality roll shortly at any rate.
>>
>>20457161

Whoops forgot to ask

>Inspect crates (D100)
>Leave them on Benning
>Other
>>
>>20457161

how thorough was the scrutiny and who performed it?
>>

>>20457241

the way you ask it reeks of trap.

but we're not afraid of traps, right?

>>
>>20457242

Oolot did, he checked his Omni-tool scanner, reads like a weapons crate, no bugs as far as he can tell. He kicked them each a few times for good measure.
>>
>>20457261
Tell the crates that you fucked Volkov's sister.
>>
>>20457107
Hey, remember that the chick from Cerberus referred to us as Ryan? I propose that we add Ryan Hastings, the suavest motherfucker this side of the Veil to the list of personalities.
>>
>>20457297
Gotta talk to the personalities guy, he had quite the list from the sounds of our crunch session.

>>20457278
"Hey Volkov, I fucked your sister and she moaned like a whore." You say kicking the crate.

Nothing.
>>

They do have some towing cables based on heavy magnetics, you could alter it into a ballistic spear gun but it would be less effective that way. (Arguably, piercing the ship is seen as a bad thing for their intended purpose, for yours, not so much.

too bad we're not going to that water moon to test it out. But we'll see what good comes out of it.

>>
>>20457380
Bob Drake doesn't seem to be Chaotic Good, seeing as we made the deal to kill Geronimo in his persona.

Also, some of these personalities seem to be extremely close to each other and unnecessary.

My proposal:

1- The Butcher of Torfan- Berserker, amazing in combat but ONLY combat
2- Barnacle Bob- Space pirate
3- Robbie the Mobster
4- Berto the Biotic God
5-16 Michael Clairmont- Default
17- Ryan Hastings- Suave mutherfucker
18- Bertie the Tech- Wimpy but a nice guy
19- Robert the Palabro
20 Bob Drake- Cold, calculating, and very, very, dangerous
>>
>>20457550

we didn't take this deal without reserve. There was argument about refusing the job altogether.

I suggest finding out what sort of person Geronimo is before we decide to follow through or double-cross the Cerberus.
>>
>>20457550
>seeing as we made the deal to kill Geronimo in his persona.
Didn't we agree to help geronimo and backstab Cerberus at a later date?
>>
>>20457550
>17- Ryan Hastings- Suave mutherfucker
>ryan
Do you even get the joke?
>>
>>20457550
I think Robbie should go since Bob Drake takes care of most of that stuff.

Instead:

1- The Butcher of Torfan- Berserker, amazing in combat but ONLY combat
2- Barnacle Bob- Space pirate
3- Robbie the Biotic God
4-16 Michael Clairmont
17- Ryan Hastings
18- Bert the Tech
19- Robert the Palabro
20- Bob Drake

Also changed the names up a bit
>>
>>20457618
>RYAN
>>
>>20457603
I don't get it either.
>>
>>20457437
So we never became Michael Weston? Phooey
>>
>>20457550

Absolutely a viable option

>>20457547
1- Barnacle Bob- Space pirate
2-4 Robbie the Mobster
5-7 Berto the Biotic God
8-14 Michael Clairmont- Default
15-17 Ryan Hastings- Suave mutherfucker
18- Bertie the Tech- Wimpy but a nice guy
19- Robert the Palabro
20 Bob Drake- Cold, calculating, and very, very, dangerous

The Butcher is more the beserk button. In times of great need and stress he comes out but only if you fail to resolve the situation. He will hurt anyone that gets in his way though, friend or foe will not matter.

At least this is my alternate proposal. As one personality see's more play he may become more dominate.

If that's the case then we should start off with a fairly low chance of any single personality coming forth, then as they become more frequent the chances increase.

Also, vetoing Robbie the Mobster. He seems kind of ,,, unneccessary.

Also, I vote in Michael Weston as the super accurate agent. Basically comabt version of Bob Drake.

>>

So our disorder comes packaged with supernatural powers? Perhaps subconsciously operated biotic aura?

sounds handy.

I suggest we tell the crew the plan as we told it to Volkov - we're going to try and bro it up with our "target" and take off the "disposable" cerberus squad that will conveniently attack.

I also suggest to include the point where we try to learn the other version of Volkov's story before deciding whether or not to carry out the deed.

Y'know, I don't think it needs any more money, considering the fact that it met its goal a while ago.

The clasps release and you hear air flood into the container.

"Wow, he really does want him dead..." you mutter pulling out what you can only surmise is a a low-yield thermonuclear weapon in a case.

L4 implants, anti-material rifles with superior grade AP rounds, high level armor for pretty much the entire crew with the exception of Sushoo, the latest from Logic Arrest in Omni-tools and what you can only surmise are enough timed explosives to level a backwater colony or two.

Other than that, let's armor up and distribute our weaponry.
>>
>>20458284
I say we get on implanting ourselves with that L4 post haste...
>>
>>20458320
It's a pretty complex procedure, Switch thinks with the ship's upgraded system and new medical VI he may stand a good chance of being able to perform the operation on you successfully if you're willing to give it a go. I mean what's the worse that could happen.

>Medical mishaps table here we come!

>>20458313
Hanar don't traditionally wear much in the way of armor, it severely hampers their movement without expensive biotic field generators to lighten the load.
>>
>>20458369

I'd rather not trust a VI to do that. We can do it once we find a medic.

Divvy up the loot, watch crew's reactions.

>>20458871

"Time to go. Get us to these coordinates, double time." You tell Switch and Rin.

They head to the cockpit and you can feel the ship climbing as the mass effect generators re-orient gravity on the ship to match the ships deck.

You clear the atmosphere and jump out into dark space.

"Captain?" Switch looks to you

>What do you tell them Captain?

Tell them our plan we made with Volkov - with helping the Geronimo out of some trouble (which we don't know nature of yet).

and tell them

"However, I'd like to hear the whole story from the other perspective before I start executing people. The amount of money Volkov seems ready to expend is too staggering not to be worried about what we are getting into, as you've no doubt noticed by what came into our loading bay."

Everyone nods and Luke still looks conflicted.
Maybe you should talk to him.

Switch spins the drives back up and you're on the your way to Erebus now.

"You alright Luke?" you ask him as he heads towards the Mess.

"No, no I'm not, this is some heavy shit, from what I understand Cerberus is some sort of former Alliance black ops organization that went rogue. What benefit is there to them killing one of our best? Nothing about this sits just right. I'm not good with killing Alliance soldiers no matter the pay, we both were once. Don't you feel this is wrong?" he inquires storming into the hall towards Sushoo who seems taken back by his pace.

He seems to accept that answer.

"He'd better be puppy kicking evil if you decide to kill him..." he mumbles as he sits down with Sushoo who places a plate in front of him almost immediately. He smiles to him and says "Thanks Sushoo..." and the Hanar dips slightly into what you can only surmise is a bow.

You decide you'd best rest up before you arrive, there may not be time to later.

You awake as Switch pings you you're 5 minutes out.

You drop into normal space. You can see Nepmos in the distance like a little slice of hell. Rabidly volcanic and has recently moved from a Travel Advisory to outright ban on anyone setting foot within 100,000 miles of the planet. There are several Alliance survellience satillites in orbit. Tagged by the 5th Fleet it seems.

"So where's our boy at?" Oolot asks looking over your shoulder

"Damn good question...Switch?" you look to him in the pilot's chair.

"Nothing on the scanners, this system is damn quiet. Wait, we're receiving something on tight band." he taps a few keys on the holo-display

He's here but we're not sure where, his ship also seems to have advanced stealth capabilities but we're sure he's watching wondering why you're here. I advise your cover being you're a mining crew scouting Nepmos for it's vast deposits since the previous mining company is no longer claiming stake, but you'll have to keep him off your ship as you obviously don't have the equipment for that. Otherwise any cover you please." he clears his throat.

"Now then as for the lure, we'll have to get him to come out of hiding otherwise you can't get close to him. If you'd be so kind head towards Nepmos and I'll get his attention. I recommend having your aft shields at full power by the way." Morpheus says as the tight band is cut.

Shit, what the hell does that mean

"Captain, have a look at this." Switch waves you over

"What am I looking at here?" you ask

"Looks like...incoming mass effect fields and there are a lot of them!" Switch informs you.

Several ships appear from the ether.

The only problem is you know, you can't please everyone. I would love it if other people did MEQ as well. I honestly think it has some great potential storywise and I don't know that I'm necessarily the best person to portray it. I like Edinboro's writing style as well.

English and Grammar is by far my weakest area so I feel like one those twits over at fanfiction everytime I do one of these. I honestly hoped the people that mocked the earlier threads would start their own, hell if it encourages them more power to them. I'm a player at heart, not a DM.

Also as usual looking for around noon sunday for the next session. I usually never know till a few hours before if I won't have shit going on. If I haven't posted by 2 you can safely assume there probably won't be an MEQ that day.

Don't cell yourself short, this quest has been great. The last one was fun too, but yeah we did waifu up a bit early. Honestly, I don't know why every quest needs a waifu.

Only if you can turn biotics into swagger. But as always I'm sure you'll find a way if the spirit is willing. Speaking of which I'll have to make some dossiers on your crew and what you know about them so far.
