"Job's done." Kiyara said, stretching her long, orichalum gauntlet. "But for now I'll just set Sparrow to follow us- we can stay onboard until we need it."

You nod, and examine Jormungandr's map, marking out where you plan to go- First, to Carved Fortress to pick up Kaliel, and then southwest to Cerulean to pick up Leon and Cerulean's knights, and finally south to Ursae to pick up Fellwind and Jeanne.

You nod, and then look over the city for a place to set down- and you find one. A tall tower, with what looks like ship ports sticking off of the sides. .

It's an airship tower. Newly made. Sirius did mention that they were planning on building them, after all.
You dock at it, and the snoozing guard there suddenly snaps awake, mumbling something and saluting.
"Welcome, your highness!" The guard says, acting as if he hadn't been snoring more loudly than even Grayson does. "To Cerulean city! The High Lady bid me to escort you and whichever companions you wish."

The monument was.. much different than last time you saw it. It was clean, and candles were arranged around the base, and hundreds of names sat there, names of knights from the lizardman war- knights who died, and fought for humanity. The structure was larger, and much more brightly lit, with marble bricks and stone surrounding it.

In awe, Kristoph looked around, and stepped into the building, staring up at the monument, in awe.

You start to walk in as well, but then a wave of anti-magic bursts from him, sealing your magic inside of yourself.
Raziel takes a step back, and looks down at her hands.
"What." she says, and whispers a spell. Nothing happens.

You try to cast a few spells- to break his projection, to create an anti-anti magic field, just even to cast a wisp of flame.
The spell swells inside of your body. . but never casts. It's like the anti-magic field stops at your skin, and doesn't go any further. You have the feeling you could still shapeshift or heal something, if you needed to.

"It's beautiful, Kristoph." You say, walking into the room. "They deserve this."
"They do." He said, his voice thick.
"Just so you know, you're projecting. You've made a bit of a magical deadzone."
"Am I?" He asked, and closed his eyes. "Sorry."

There's a strange *twist* in the air, and the anti-magic field is gone. Your magic can breathe again.

"Am I still doing it?" He asked, and you shake your head. "Okay, good to know."

He turned around, and stepped away from the monument. He didn't meet anyone's eyes.

"What." Raziel said again, and looked down at her hands. She whispered a spell, and a spark of light appeared in her hand. "What *was* that?" She asked.

You reach out, toward one of the unlit candles, and . . focus, power rushing through your body.

And then you turn back to Kristoph and continue following. If he noticed what you did, he didn't say anything.

"We'll have to play around with it and see what you can do later then. But we should pick up Leon first."
He grinned. "Yeah, I want to see how his swordsmanship has improved."

You make your way to Cerulean Hall, where a group of five helmeted knights salute. Lady Cerulean is standing there, in a thick petticoat that you're certain is armored.
"Welcome, your majesty." She said, giving you a smile. "I'm glad you came- would you like some tea?"

He'd. . grown up, since last you spoke with him. He was taller, and had a strange sense of grace that wasn't there before. He bowed, deeply.
"Good day." He said. "I'm sorry for taking so long."

Energy drains out of you, and you quickly take your hand off of his arm, as if they were burning. Your soulfire serpent uncoils from your arm, unbidden, and pokes one of the runes. A burst of magic comes free, and the serpent re-coils around your arm, sated.
Leon, however, now has his entire arm aflame. He looks at it, carefully, and then grins as it goes out.
"Did you just. . use my own talent cast one of my spells? I'm rather impressed, Ishelda."

You leap forward, bringing your sword to the left, and then feign a slash. He brings his blade up to parry it.
And then you hear a shattering noise. Mid-swing, he un-conjured his blade, and re-conjured it in his palm again, catching your true attack on the edge of his blade. Rikar and the conjured, nameless sword screech against one another as he pushes against your blade.

He swerves away from you, weakening, and you press the attack, surprised that you're stronger than him. You bring Rikar down half a dozen times, weaving your blade through the air- he catches it with his own, parrying each attack, slowing as he gets exhausted. He starts breathing heavy, and his guard falls for just a single moment.
You take your chance, and push the weakness in his guar-
Things happen quickly. A foot swept under the back of your heel, knocking you back, and his blade's guard caught yours, and tore Rikar out of your hand, and it went flying through the air.
With the sound of something shattering, Leon unsummoned his blade, and caught you before you fell completely.
"I'm sorry, Lady." He said, and pulled you to your feet. He picked up Rikar- it swiftly turned transparent, almost like glass, small arcane sparks dancing from hilt to tip- and handed it back to you, where it returned to the standard violet color.

You say your goodbyes to Lady Cerulean, and make your way back to the Jormungandr. While you do so, Leon and Kristoph seem to be talking in a low tone, and the knights seem in good cheer.
". . you were outclassed." Raziel said. ". . Very, very outclassed. You can't get better with training, but you need more experience. It looked like he was toying with you at first, but he doesn't seem like that kind of person."
