So I am still having occasional bouts of irritating pain that make it really hard to focus. On the other hand, nobody expects me to get any real work done for another few days, and I am out of painkillers which means I am completely sober. So let's do this thing.

If anyone's wondering where I've been, I had a really minor surgery. Went home the same day, figured I'd be fine to run the quest anyway, so I didn't bother to give anyone a heads-up. Spent the last week alternating between being in too much pain or having too many opiates in my system to really concentrate on anything. The mild painkiller highs gave me a lot of awesome /ideas/ to work with, though, so as a consequence I have like five sequels ready for this quest in the event we actually reach the end of it. Painkiller highs are not so good for calculating probabilities and judicial use of time.

Anyway. Super Villain Quest.

You are Smith Sterling, the Iron Master! You have discovered the secret identities of the superhero Amp (Kurt Dobek, a high school teacher) and his sidekick Kestrel (Sofia Span, a high school junior at a different school). After attempting to blackmail them using their secret identities, they enlisted the aid of their super friend Behemoth and foiled your attempt to use a robotic impersonator of Santa Muerte to usurp control of the Santos Espada gang. Nonetheless, they were unable to gain control of any of your bots and discover any further information on your criminal activities.

You have sent a robotic infiltrator named Steve to Sofia's school in an effort to learn enough about her and build a close enough relationship to turn her to the dark side (the reasoning was that a younger target would probably be more susceptible).

It's been a while, so I'll remind you that you have control of both the neighborhoods out on Catalina Island (the tip of which is just barely visible on the map). The Avalon Goblins in Avalon are still nominally loyal to the Goblin Gang, but since winning over the Avalon Goblins' leader, Rica Rivera, they've defected to your side. The Morelli Outfit you destroyed completely with the aid of another defector, Julio Pedone. This has no doubt earned at least some ire of the Family, but they're far away for now.
>>
The most immediate situation facing your gang (as yet unnamed) is the issue of what to do about the police crackdown, however, as the authorities do not appreciate the vicious gang war that's taken hold of sleepy Catalina Island over the last two weeks. Julio suggested you create a distraction over on the mainland to take the heat off, while Rica recommended attacking and subverting the local police departments before the big guns could be brought in. You ultimately went with Julio's more cautious plan, but unfortunately your effort to kidnap the mayor and blame it on rival gang Chimera failed miserably, mostly due to poor luck.

At some point in the near future you'll also have to expand onto the mainland, which is far less forgiving than Catalina. Julio recommended heading to Compton and taking sides in the ever-vicious war between the Hounds and Stalkers to get a slice of the pie yourself, then use that as a base from which to defeat both the other gangs. Much like yours, the Hounds and Stalkers are small gangs which gives you more of a fighting chance. However, they're also surrounded by enemies who'll gladly swoop in to take a tiny piece of Compton for themselves.

Rica favors an attack on the Nine Rollers instead, since two of their sets (a set being a single unit or "franchise" of a gang) can make incredible bank off of drugs. This gives the Rollers plenty of money to toss around, which will make them harder to defeat than the Hounds or Stalkers, but if those sets can be successfully converted (and Rica doesn't think those two in particular will be too hard to persuade so long as you can get to them through the others), it'll be a huge economic boost. Plus, the Rollers are in a corner, limiting the number of rivals who can swoop in to steal your prize.

lets go for the drug money?
also how close are we to that superhero girl can we steel some think like the sonic weapons she has??
>>
dispatch them both to explore their perspective plans then when they return with info we shall decide i don't like the idea of just charging in there and hoping for the best.
>>
Also supporting drug money. Don't want others to take our stuff too easily.
>>
While waiting for responses, I whipped up a new rules set that includes an updated powers list and the rules for weapons, armor, and heists, which were some pretty glaring omissions from the existing rules.

Kestrel uses a supersuit with wings built into the arms that lets her fly, it's Amp who has the sonic blast tech.

The Nine Rollers have got six sets over at Palos Verdes. Their O.G.'s in Rolling Hills are called the Steel Killer Nine Rollers and they're pretty tough, plus two more sets you know of, the Smiling Nines in Rancho Palos Verdes and the Twenty-Third Street Nine Rollers in Hawthorne. Smiling Nines are your average footmen, and the Twenty-Third Street are a worker set, so presumably the Nine Rollers ran out of decent shields.

The other three sets, including the Easy Nines and Dream Boy Nine Rollers you're looking to subvert, are all shielded, so you can't get any information on them.
>>
Oh, and I forgot to add.

Exactly how do you plan on going about your attack on the Nine Rollers? And do you plan to do anything else about the police since your original scheme didn't end well?
>>
Well. This is going poorly.

relapse leaders with robots?
>>
What're the odds that Sorc quest takes a weeklong break at more or less the exact same time I do?

You don't necessarily need to be totally familiar with all the pastebin rules, I should add. I'll typically explain things in the narrative so that you understand your options more or less even if you don't know much about the mechanics. The rules are mostly presented because first, they took like twenty hours to make all told and I wanted to show SOMEONE and second so that you can rest assured that there are in fact rules in the quest, and if something goes terribly wrong it's probably because you rolled bad, or your build wasn't right, or some other reason that is not "the idea you thought was clever failed to impress me so I am arbitrarily making you lose, now grovel at my feet and beg forgiveness, peons!"
>>
>>20374251
You mean do something to replace the failed mayor kidnapping?
>>
'sup
>>
>>20374627

I think he'd meant replacing the leaders of either the city or the Nine Rollers with robot duplicates.

Which, despite the poor delivery of the idea, sounds downright diabolical to me.
>>
>>20374627
Other idea was to repeat the gang war we started on the island with the parent gangs
>>
>>20374709
I'm clearly not thinking large enough. I like it!
>>
So, we're going with replacing people with robots, then?

Well, bugger. Maybe this is just a bad day in terms of competition? I seem to have found an audience, but they didn't stick around long enough to make a single decision.

>>
>>20375317

Maybe I should start putting up a note mentioning that reading the archives is unnecessary, since I strive to make the quest totally accessible to newcomers with the summary at the start.
>>
>>20375484
But there was stuff that I read that did explain some stuff [or that I should explain to you, since I'm the anon that made the map]

I gave the Ronin Anaheim/Garden Grove because downtown looked tiny, and also because that area is all Viet, all the time.
>>
>>20375587

Ah, I see. Interesting.
>>
I don't like robot duplicate plan. It's not very good for continued loyalty once shit gets revealed. We just need to convince these guys they're better off siding with us.
>>
>>20375705
Lets just start a big nasty gang war between the goblins and the family. Then we can go with one of thw two expandion plans. While working on the little sidekick too ofc. Also, assume julio spemds two of his actions to manage both gangs unless instructed otherwise.
>>
>>20375786
>>20375786
Sounds like a good plan.

I think Rica should scout the Goblins. If news hasn't spread back to the mainland about her "extraction", she should be able to get us a ton of information on how to hit them hard. And Iron Master/Steve to keep working on Kestrel.
>>
bah why don't we start our own gang instead of trying to infilterate them considering our names.
>>
>>20375863

You actually already have one. The Iron Giants set is part of your unnamed gang and it openly controls Two Harbors (in the sense that other gangs know that Two Harbors is Iron Giant turf, the cops can still work a beat there...Both of them).
>>
Oh, and also, plan for starting the gang war between the Family and the Goblins?
>>
>>20375978
More or less identical to the old plan. Use darkness, dress as enemies and use synthskin. Shoot blokes. After the fight on the island, they should believe it readily enough.
>>
>>20376028

In that case, the only question is which one are you going to hit first?
>>
>>20376051
Goblins. Underwater escape makes it easier.
>>
>>20376051
Gotta hit the Family first. They look to be a bit smarter than the Goblins, so we've got to rile them up, make them make mistakes.
>>
>>20376215
Lets do it his way
>>
Best part about this scheme is, you've already got the costumes from the last time you pulled it. You make some SynthSkin for your four warrior-bots while Rica scouts out the mainland Goblins. She gets confronted a couple of times about how the Avalon Goblins haven't sent any money in for like a week, but she's able to deflect the heat by claiming that this is the reason she's here, since she's still sending the money but apparently it isn't getting to where it's supposed to be. The Goblin Gang is in roughly the same position as it was a few years ago when she was working Santa Monica, but she updates a few valuable details on the mainland operation while she's there before heading back to Catalina.

With her help, you're able to pick the ripest target for attack, however there are two possibilities to be considered: The Maniac Goblins are easy pickings but are famed for their crazed devotion to the gang, or else just to the concept of beating people up. They won't break easily and the gang might not actually take much notice if you kill a few members of a set that couldn't care less. Besides, they're /always/ spoiling for a fight.

The Nightmare Goblins are another potential target. They lack the constant drug-induced hypermorale of the Maniacs, but are generally tougher and (a bit) more organized. It's less likely your attack will succeed at all on these guys, but if it does, you're more likely to deal a blow the Goblins can't easily ignore.

>Which one will you attack?
>>
>>20376270

Sorry, should've refreshed before composing. You're blind on the Family, though, which basically means hitting the first set you run into. That could be a nasty one, the Family have some tough blighters, too.
>>
>>20376526
>>20376432
We're going to incite a gang-war, right? So there's no point in killing off the dumb, aggressive Goblins, we need them alive to counter-attack and start the war.

We've got to hit the Nightmare Goblins.
>>
>>20376625
Agreed
>>
Your bots make their way into Nightmare Goblin territory. Unfortunately, you haven't had a whole lot of windfalls with regards to weaponry lately, so they're only equipped with pistols. Good pistols, but still.

"You walked into the wrong neighborhood," a voice says behind them. The bots spin around and discover that a whole pack of a half-dozen Nightmare Goblins, each wearing some kind of black monster mask (werewolves are popular) has somehow snuck up on them. "Tell you what, though, you give us a little something for our trouble and we'll pretend we never saw you here," the Nightmare Goblin says.

Well, there's only one response to that. Your bots are better at shooting things anyway. You open fire on the Goblins, and they're not nearly as good at fighting as they are at sneaking. One of your bots takes a shot to the chest and you have it mock staggering about, one of the others helping it to hobble away, but in truth damage to motor systems was pretty minor. One of the hard drives got hit and you'll have to replace it, but that's why you build these things with redundancies. It's perfectly functional for now.

Either way, there's already three or four Goblins on the ground and you can hear police sirens in the distance, so it's time to go. Your bots make their escape, ducking around the corner, while the Goblins split before the police can arrive. Fortunately, you're able to slip your bots back to the beach beneath the boardwalks uneventfully, where they put everything water damagable in plastic bags (Family outfits are not cheap) before walking along the sea floor back. You've already rigged up an undersea lift for retrieval purposes, far from Avalon and Two Harbors where people almost never go, and from there it's an easy hike to your hideout, particularly for bots that don't tire.

That went pretty well.
>>
>>20376868
It's disturbing that they got the drop on our robots. If they had decent weaponry, and shot first that could have ended badly.
>>
You've still got one action left for Julio if you want him to do something, incidentally.
>>
Have him look into getting better guns
>>
Alright, guess we're passing up on Julio's action, then.

The LA Times are very informative, and your ghosts even more so. The Maniac Goblins launch a counter-incursion into Family territory way up in Burbank, which gets stopped cold because even the Conti Outfit can beat up a bunch of Maniacs. As is usual for the Goblin Maniacs, however, they make a big huge scene and someone's terrible cameraphone footage of the fight is all over YouTube with minutes and hits the local news the next morning. It's relatively tame, in that no firearms get brought out, but bricks and baseball bats are enough to leave a few on both sides bleeding on the ground. The police are still trying to sort out which of the plainsclothes targets were members of the Family and which were innocent bystanders caught up in Maniac frenzy (and it's quite possible that all of the Conti thugs will walk, the Family has good lawyers).

Not ones to be upstaged, the Goblin Kings go looking for trouble way up in Beverly Hills and end up in a brief shootout with the Rizzo Outfit that leaves two Goblins, one Family thug, and one innocent bystander dead, plus a few more injured.
>>
Dammit, I /really/ need to start refreshing before I hit submit. Julio is able to drum up some black market contacts mostly in Chimera who can give you a nice set of SMGs and assault rifles in exchange for 2 resources.
>>
Okay so how many resources do we have? If I remember my build correctly we want to buy more power
>>
One of your ghosts follows Kurt one night and observes the following.

Doctor Span was not a terribly old man, but his hair was beginning to thin lately. He suspected it might be because of his daughter's ever-worrying school performance, but these clandestine rooftop meetings certainly weren't any easier on his nerves. At least they were rare.

"Sorry to keep you up so late," Kurt said, and Doctor Span nearly jumped out of his skin.

"How do you manage that?" Doctor Span asks, "even with all my nerves on edge I never seem to notice you coming..."

"You learn to get quiet when you want to be in my line of work," Kurt said, hands in his beaten up old jacket.

"Ah, yes, I suppose what with all the gangsters involved," Doctor Span said.

"Eh, they don't usually come to class anyway," Kurt said, smiling, "it's the basketball jocks that're fun to sneak up on, when they think the teachers aren't listening. 'How long have you been standing there, Mr. Dobek?' I wish I could take a picture of the looks on their faces."

Doctor Span might've laughed on most nights, but tonight he could hardly manage a brief smile. "You've hardly done a thing in over two weeks, and what was the, with the call, what was that?" he asked.

The last time he'd called Kurt, the answer had just been "don't call this number again," and then he'd hung up. "Sorry about that," Kurt said. "I've been trying to limit any unusually observable contact, just 'cause..." Kurt sighed, and then said "someone's found out our secret identities, me and Kestrel."
>>
Doctor Span just stared for a moment, then said "so that's why she was like that, the other night."

"Hm? What do you mean?" Kurt asked.

"The night of the incident out on Eastside, with those Hispanic, uh, people? And the robots? She came in late and she didn't look hurt but I could tell, I can always tell when she's been out with you and when she's been out with her friends...And besides, she never goes out with her friends anymore. Well, anyways, she said she wanted to tell me something, and I could tell she was going to let me in on her big secret...And then she just said she loved me and went upstairs to bed. I think, can you imagine, now for once it's her worrying about me." Doctor Span smiled again, but a grim smile.

"So did you have your surprised face all ready, or were you finally going to get a chance to use the 'all-knowing father' look she hasn't seen since she got herself into this whole super business?" Kurt asked.

"You know I hadn't decided," Doctor Span said, and actually laughed a little, "she'd put me on the spot, I suppose it's good she went back on it or I might have tried both at once and made a mess of my moment."

"Oh, that would've been terrible," Kurt said, chuckling along with him.
>>
Then his face grew somber once more. "We don't really know what to do, to be honest," he said. "We tried finding out who Santa Muerte really is, sort of a mutually assured destruction thing, that was with Behemoth. That didn't work, preparing for a half-dozen different possibilities he hadn't thought of the possibility of robot minions that self-destruct. Had to plan the whole thing himself, of course, any communication between him and us was too dangerous, we still have no idea how Muerte found out. Or who 'Muerte' really is, since she clearly isn't Holy Death, not with robot minions. Could be some sort of apprentice to the Artificer come to break him out...Could be totally unrelated, might be coincidence that the threats came in so soon after we started investigating Muerte. But, I mean, it's been a week since we tanked that scheme completely. No word. Maybe the Muerte impostor was actually a sentient bot, killed himself when he realized his plan was failing." Kurt shrugged. "Sure would be convenient for us. Not much we can do but wait for the hammer to fall and hope our enemy will drop his guard when it does."

"I only hope no one's caught in the crossfire," Doctor Span said, furrowing his brow.

"We can do our best, that's it. Kestrel won't hang up the cape and cowl, though, says she can't let the city see a hero beaten like that. Honestly, I agree with her. We get to the bottom of this, beat the bad guy, throw him in the Towers, then she can resign. It was just too close a call and she needs to focus on her studies...That's the sort of example the city needs."
>>
"Unless she gets killed in the process," Doctor Span said.

"She won't," Kurt responded, "I promise. And I'll make her hang up her wings when this is done, I'll steal them if I have to. Should've done that months ago." Kurt paused a moment. "Sorry about all this."

"You can't be expected to sacrifice the wellbeing of the entire city just for one worried father," Doctor Span said, sighing. "I just wish there was a hero for the heroes. Good night, Kurt."

"Good night, Doctor Span. See you around," Kurt said. And the two men parted ways.

You've got six resources on hand. You'll only need 3 to bump your Power up to 3.

And also you now have a bunch of awesome guns.
>>
yes more robots there is no such thing a too many bots.
>>
Oh, and about that soul hiding power, could we get it cheaper if we restricted the ability to taking over mindless clones of ourself that we hide in stasis somewhere?
>>
ah that reminds me how would robot specific weaponry work as in good luck in using this if you are not super human or something? also do we need specific resources or research for or what and how about defensive turrets. During the info dump i noticed a section about body armor how can we get some of that i mean i don't see us having a issue of using armor and alternative heroes commonly use.
>>
>>20378367
i was looking that the dragonskin armor what is that by the way and how do we get some?
>>
>>20378361

No. That is not only not at all a restriction on the power, it is also clearly superior because you do not have to bother about finding a new host.

>>20378367

Easiest way to get guns that regular people can't use is to build them straight into the machine. Means there's no trigger for humans to pull. Downside is that it'll make your machines clearly inhuman.

Generally speaking, the way you get armor is through really expensive black market deals or by shooting cops and taking their stuff.
>>
>>20378404

The kevlar/ceramic plate dragonskin is a very, very recent line of body armors that's just now reaching the market. According to early tests by the National Institute of Justice, it is /absurdly/ good at stopping bullets.

The skin of an actual dragon is basically a joke. If you were a more heavily magic-based guy then something like that would be totally doable (and other magic-y armors would've been added in if you were the Death Knight or whatever), but as it is you can't really get your hands on magical artifacts for the foreseeable future, so it's mostly just a joke on the fact that the prototype super armor is called dragonskin and we're on /tg/. If there's going to be confusion, I may as well take credit for it.
>>
>>20378455
heheh in that case i know how we can get some nifty quality gear but first thing first how many bots do we now have and for weapons what i meant was massive weapons that you would have to be super human or a bot to be able to pick up and wield.
>>
>>20378455
True, on the other hand, I see nothing in the power as written that prevents us from doing that anyway so I doubt it is better.
>>
>>20378520

You can't give your bots a weapon that you don't actually have, that's why you spent one of Julio's actions and two resources on getting better guns. Exactly how many weapons that practically nobody can use do you think are on the market?
>>
>>20378524

The main obstacle is that you'd have to be able to clone people.
>>
you never know op you might very well choose to send some magic users against or we might nab ourselves some allies. Hey while thinking about allies is there anyway we can keep a look out for new upcoming villains.
>>
Anyway, shouldn't a new turn start now?
>>
i was more along the lines of thinking of designing our own stuff sorry about not clarifying that op. In any case lets do another attack to help blow up the gang warfare situation again.
>>
>>20378592

Oh, forgot to mention, but yes. It is a new turn now, you have +4 resources. So that's at 5 now.

Action Points:
Iron Master: 2/2
Julio Pedone: 1/3
Rica Rivera: 1/2

Note: Your henchmen are currently set to automatically take up a few actions leading your various sets, so that's where those went.
>>
>>20378569
Oh yeah, if the anon thought cloning was incluided, then yeah, broken. Otherwise a decent restriction as it does have downsides;
1. You can't change identity, so the hero that propablly killed you is going after you again
2. Another way to die (they can effectivly kill you by smashing all the clones instead of finding your soul hidey place)
3. You can't possess the mayor
>>
>>20378667

Having the clone available doesn't actually stop you from possessing the mayor. And destroying the phylactery is always a potential method of finishing you off for good. Deathless basically makes you into a not-undead lich.
>>
>>20378652
Continue the whole kestral thing. Then prep to make a move on whichever gang we decided on.
>>
Have Rica command some bots to make another attack to help add fuel to start another gang war.

Have Julio scout out some armories(national guard ect) and labs/research facilities.

Us meanwhile uhm op what our skills and social connections basicly whats our life like?
>>
>>20378714

In terms of super villainy, your career has just got started, and while your rise would normally be of quite some note, you've gone to great pains to ensure that the vast majority of your crimes are not traced back to the Iron Master. Net result is that very few people know you as a super villain. You do have one major contact, however, Whisper. Whisper is a major neutral party over on Team Red, who doesn't strongly associate himself with any gang or super and only denies services to people who are against the interests of LA crime in general. So, knowing him basically just means that you can officially call yourself a super villain.

Your secret identity Smith Sterling works at a nondescript engineering firm in Long Beach, working on something that is presumably not at all related to creating murderbots. You have cordial relations with co-workers and neighbors and maintain the facade of liking to take frequent short trips into nearby countryside when you are actually retreating to your secret lair. You also claim to be an avid gamer, but in truth you traded your video games for your remote Terminator OS a long time ago. Your busy life has left little time for anything more time consuming than Angry Birds in recent years, but time enough for the games and the hookers and the drugs and whatever else you want once you have achieved immortality and any given mortal coil becomes completely expendable.
>>
>>20378825
Send the ghosts and spy bots to locate all the various subgangs of the 9 rollers. Chose a nice vunerable one and subvert it. Then launch a general offensive. Meanwhile, build 3 more murder bots and continue work on kestral.
>>
>>20378920

The Nine Rollers spying is a nice easy infodump, so let's get that out of the way first.

The Dream Boy Nine Rollers are in Playa Del Ray. They are quite vulnerable and extremely profitable, but are shielded by the Steel Killer Nine Rollers and thus unreachable (except maybe with massed poltergeist attacks or something?).

The Easy Nines are in Redondo Beach, and are statistically identical to the Dream Boys. They're shielded by the Smiling Nines.

Manhattan Nine Rollers are from Manhattan Beach. This has nothing to do with Manhattan Island. They're a weak set, but not as weak as the other shielded sets. They are shielded by the Twenty-Third Street Nine Rollers, who are actually just as weak as the Manhattan Nine Rollers, but hey, they had an extra shield lying around so why not?

The Twenty-Third Street Nine Rollers are still in Hawthorne.

The Smiling Nines are still in Ranchos Palos Verdes. Pretty nasty, too, though no worse than what you'd get as standard from other gangs (on par with the Nightmare Goblins in general, in fact).

The Steel Killer Nine Rollers in Harbor City get their name from their rivalry with Chimera, who are sometimes associated with steel because of all the fancy alloys they pilfer over in Long Beach (most of which is not actually steal, since that's stuff you can just buy and it's not even expensive). This rivalry doesn't actually end that well for the Steel Killers, typically, as even the toughest of the Nine Rollers can barely stand up to the average Chimera set. Fortunately for them, Chimera's not really interested in expansion, they've already got the parts of the city they want.

Subvert the 23rd, then crush the manhattan nine. Then the 9 rollers will have to either expose their money makers, or stay passive on the defense.
>>
Right-y then. Questions of how.

How do you plan to continue things with Sofia? I like the characters and basic concepts you guys have given me to work with in regards to her, but unfortunately I'm kind of struggling to find any sort of compelling high school drama. I thought the bit with the bullies turned out alright, though, and that grew out of player suggestions, so maybe you guys can get that gear turning again. I don't want earning the trust of an actual named character to be just a few die rolls, especially when the longterm goal is to make her a henchman.

Similarly, while the "crush" part of the plan is pretty straightforward, how exactly are you planning on running the subversion of the 23rd? Are we still on for Rica taking some bots and stirring up trouble between the Goblins and Family? What about Julio's scouting trip?

Sofia: you could have us somehow or another stumble into a discussion of her social habbits/suspected drug addiction, where we say "Sofia, I've tutored drug addicts, I knew drug addict, some of them were even friends. Ma'am your no drug addict." then we admit to cribbing from bensten.
Subversion: find disaffected people, offer power/money/women/men if they help us. Use our ghostly gotten knowlege to steer them into leadership positions. Then make our move

And yes on Rica and the bots. As for the whole "Sofia is antisocial" thing, see if we can get her to bring it up while we act all understanding and stuff.

Rica stirs up more trouble alot more hopefully as in try to target leaders if she takes out a leader or two there will be war.

As for Julio is job is to locate them acquire blueprints for them and then help plan a raid. This scouting will get us prepped for any raids and robberies we may choose to commit and will eventually allow us to hopefully acquire enough weaponry and armor to establish our very own personal armory and give us info on the labs allowing us to decide which one we will eventually want to raid for tech.

What we shall do for our turns is beef up our base and develop some more robot line types who will be built with a specific focus(just blueprints)

Um...Julio is not James Bond. He can't get you blueprints of top secret government/corporate facilities overnight.

You typing something GM? Or are we in an awkward silence?

I stumbled through a few drafts of the next Steve and Sofia segment, but it turns out I am too exhausted to continue today. Managed to push my efforts in correcting my sleep schedule forward by like six hours, though, so that's good.

So, archive is here:

Should be up and running again tomorrow at 14:00, I'll just go ahead and open with the Steve and Kestrel thing, and also the subvert the results of subverting the 23rd and stoking the fires of war. For now, however, good night.
