As long as memories last...
...we will not forget the sacrifices that have been made.

TG QUEST!

On our last episode of progress, your troops managed to liberate the station from most of the Black Ops, leaving only their commander, a handful of his guards, and whatever your sensors picked up at the Computer Core.

As holy water rains all across the station's interior due to Mouse's hacking, you have only a short time left to prepare before you move towards the Computer Core to destroy whatever lurks there.

Last thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/20199622/

Day: 5
Current Objectives: Destroy Yurgus and whatever infests the Core.
Fleet Location:Sector Headquarters.

Here's a rough map of the Computer Core room with some stuff drawn on it.

>From last thread:
Prioritize cleric enchants for the heroes with the more mundane weaponry. This includes Holtz' cyber-spike, and whatever gun of choice that Spike wants to bring along for the fight (if he has no particular gun of choice, get him a phaser or phaser rifle or something). Let's assign that one spare beam katana that Agrias was using before she got Gurthang for Holtz as a sidearm. Mustadio, Lavian, and Alicia get the other enchants since they're just using regular and/or high-tech (but otherwise unremarkable) weaponry. Our other heroes are more or less equipped with Tolkien First-Age weaponry, which will make them very potent even without the enchants.

Remaining enchants are doled out to Demoman/Pyro/Heavy/Sniper.

YVH droids along with Demoman, Spy, and Soldier will keep an eye out for turrets or other hostile mechanical menaces that may pop up out of the walls during the fight and disable/destroy them.

Engineer should construct/upgrade the highest level Dispenser he can muster before the fight.

Get the freshest half of our Auror team to accompany our two teams there.

>Map

Tentative Plan #1: half of white mage group goes with Team Holy Strike, half of them goes into the Holographic Wall / Protego Horriblis shield zone. Engineer also hides in safe zone along with dispenser. Mechanical units will retreat into the shielded area to get repaired by Engineer, while the White Mages inside the barrier will spot heal both groups.
>>
>>20242407
Before we go any further, can ANON calculate a path from the outside of the station to the computer room that we can carve out? We're not talking about using Mecha-Godzilla, but fusion torches and phaser drills to cut a path, closing bulkheads and sealing sections along the way.
I want to suck the boss out into space where we can concentrate our firepower.
>>
>>20242407
Do we have Vol Opt trapped in a locked off section of the ship's computers or was he deleted? And if so, would it be possible for Mouse to reprogram him/reconstruct him to work for us?

If so, we could have him go into the core and secure what he could/get rid of the parts the boss has infiltrated.
>>
>>20242552

>(cont.)

Two YVH droids (and perhaps Mustadio) will remain with Engineer to operate the Portable Holo-Emitters and maintain the wall and provide a layer of defense if any beasties go after the shield support group. If Mustadio is capable of doing so, have Engineer lend Mustadio another wrench so he can aid in repairing units.

Tentative Plan #2: If the beastie inside the Core decides to attack the support group exclusively due to them being a stationary target that exponentially increases the lifespan of hostile forces, we have White Mage group go with Team Holy strike. Aurors will be divvied up between both teams to create Protego Horriblis / Protego Maxima shields to minimize damage.
>>
>>20242574
>>20242504
>>20242528
The psionic technique envelops and enhances the weapon.

Vol Opt was deleted.

>>20242555
The Computer Core is surrounded by vital machinery. Carving a path in would be catastrophic to the station.

Please list out all the units taking part in this operation for ease of updating.
>>
>>20242642
our boss fights are many things but low in collateral damage isn't one of them is there anyway we could lure this thing out?
and i believe we're using Holy strike and vanguard
>>
Dont forget to take backups of everyone.
Also, cast Deathward on our soldiers to protect from death effects.
>>
>>20242642
So I'm assuming there's not enough data left to reconstruct him, then?
>>
>>20242698
Nope.
>>20242676
You are, I want someone to post who exactly is in those teams so I don't have to periodically hunt for it.
>>
>>20242681
Death Ward is a single target spell, and the person who could cast Mass Death Ward burned through his high power spells earlier. I guess he might have a low power version still available though, so you may select one person to cast Death Ward on.
>>
>>20242642

Here's what I *think* each team consists of:

>Team Holy Strike

1 KI Tactical Squad (Space Marine w/ Voiceless Spear) (Space Marine with Ebon Lance of Longinus), Finalon, Darius, Agrias, The Avatar of The Virtues, Gondegal, Ryu, Holtz, Alicia, Lavian, Spike, and White Mage squad B.

White Mage squad "A" will use their remaining MP to do re-raises on heroes that do not already have them. Then dole out haste/wall/shield buffs.

>Team Vanguard

Star-Lord, HK-50, BLU Team, YVH Droid Platoon, Portable Emitters (equipment), Pharaoh Man, Skull Man, 1 Tactical Marine Squad, 1 Devastator Squad.

>Shielding Team

The least tired half of our available Aurors, Behemoth w/ Repair Module (or Repair Scarab if the Behemoth cannot fit in comfortably within the room), BLU Engineer.

It was suggested that we bring in Mobile Infantry to reinforce Team Vanguard.

If the shielding plan leaves our support too vulnerable, then we divide White Mages/Aurors evenly between each group.

Vote which plan you guys like and make suggestions as necessary.
>>
>>20242759

Also, if we want, we can include Mustadio in there. Although I'm unsure if it would be safe to include him on a boss fight when he's mainly there for engineering expertise.

If we're keen on including him in this fight, and if he can use one of Engineer's spare wrenches to repair machines as Engineer does, then he can go with Team Vanguard.

If he can't use the wrench in such a manner, then I suppose we can include him in Team Holy Strike.
>>
>>20242739
Oh, and for Mustadio's special attack, how about the "Kill evil stuff with my gun!" attack.
>>
>>20242739
Damn. Because I was thinking it'd be useful as hell to have a sentient computer program as support for Mouse, and we could set up the core of our main ships to house a Vol Opt Battle Body to protect them, just incase enemies infiltrate our ships again

We could always go to PSO to grab a copy of Vol Opt v2. He respawns whenever you play the level and it shouldn't take too much to reprogram him.
>>
>>20242759

Just to clarify, White Mage Team "A" will not be participating in the battle. They will be returning to whatever safe haven we have and recuperating. Before they go, they will ReRaise and buff heroes that do not have those stuff (or have had those buffs expire), then use remaining MP to buff whichever members of team Vanguard that can't respawn (i.e. Space Marines).
>>
>>20242759

Ah crap, forgot some other heroes.

Team Holy strike will also include Elaine and Lyla.
>>
>>20242759
don't forget we're also enchanting blue teams weapons, we're aligning some of the other weapons with good and star lord who will be part of one of the squad.

i also think we should use our sneaky guys (spike, ryu, spy, sniper and holtz) to their full advantage and have them hit the thing where it hurts (where ever that is)
>>
>>20242759
So this plus Lyla and Elaine. Anything else? Because I want to get this party started.
>>
>>20243058

Enchanting priority was outlined in >>20242552 .

Also, do you guys think we should go with the Shielding plan? Or disperse White Mages/Aurors between each group to do a more reactive-style defense?
>>
>>20242759
I think we should take advantage of Gondegal's phasing ability and have him lurk behind a wall.
Have him phase through, materialize, cut, and then phase back out behind a wall, under a floor, or up through the ceiling before the boss can counterattack.
>>
>>20243095
Hold MechaGodzilla on standby as Plan B outside just incase things go REALLY south.
>>
>>20243126
I agree with this emergency plan. Nothing like a big meaty metal fist to protect you from the evil on the other side.
>>
>>20243097
shielding plan is go but we're only making it so it faces the fighting, easy to heal then duck in cover
>>
>>20243097
The Shielding Plan is fine, I think. Though the Aurors should keep up all three Protego Horribilis wards; one on themselves (and the support team), one on the Vanguard Team, and one on the Holy Strike Team.
>>
>>20243126
umm FUCK NO! if we send in mechagodzilla the whole station is screwed use only and i mean ONLY if there is no chance of salvaging the station and ONLY after evacing all of our people and the station inhabitants
>>
>>20243223
Do you not understand what the words "Plan B incase shit goes really south" means? Or are you just freaking out because your brains only processed the words "MechaGodzilla" and "Outside"?
>>
>>20243183

Well, the idea behind the shielding thing is that the Aurors are not in their best shape, and three of them combining their strength to maintain a singular Protego Horriblis barrier would make the barrier more likely to hold up against boss-level attacks. One Auror doing Protego Horriblis or Protego Maxima may not weather blows from a boss for very long.

Also, OP, the barrier will have openings so mechanical units and other friendlies can easily shuffle in and out. If the boss telegraphs a powerful attack, the Aurors can then seal the barrier.
>>
>>20243246
If they're that weakened though, shouldn't we have everyone pile in under a superstrong Protego Horribilis ward, and sally forth from there?
>>
>>20243281

That was the initial plan.
>>
>>20243244
no i got that i just need the op to understand and i also need clarification "plan B" implies if our first plan fails this is what we go to and that fucks our objective and "really south" is subjective
>>
>>20243294
Alright.
So it seems everyone is okay with:

Plan: half of white mage group goes with Team Holy Strike, half of them goes into the Holographic Wall / Protego Horriblis shield zone. Engineer also hides in safe zone along with dispenser. Mechanical units will retreat into the shielded area to get repaired by Engineer, while the White Mages inside the barrier will spot heal both groups.
Contingency: If the beastie inside the Core decides to attack the support group exclusively due to them being a stationary target that exponentially increases the lifespan of hostile forces, we have White Mage group go with Team Holy strike. Aurors will be divvied up between both teams to create Protego Horriblis / Protego Maxima shields to minimize damage.

Right?
>>
>>20243358

Pretty much, yeah. Also, YVH droids/Spy/Soldier/Demoman will keep their eyes peeled for any mechanical defenses that may pop up during the fight and prioritize those targets. For Team Holy Strike, Spike and KI with ranged weaponry will do the same.
>>
>>20243358

Let's get a phaser for Holtz as well. If he's proficient with handguns, a phaser would probably work just as well.
>>
>>20243358
and weapons will be enchanted as outlined here: >>20242552
>>
>>20243449
And don't forget that we update everyone's cortical stack network backups back on our ships.

I think that's it. Have we forgotten anything?
Anything that Egon, the TechnoWizards, Data, and the Gurus could help with, such as taking the holy energy given off by Vitun and Aeshma and channeling it through the Indefatigable's deflector dish?
>>
>>20243520
>forgotten anything
Yes.
The Farseers are to assist our teams with the powers of Guide, Fortune, Battle Fate, and Doom.
>>
Alright, MetaOP, I think that's it.

>>20243416
>>20243430
>>20242552
>>20243520
>>20243539

Everyone agreed?
>>
I just realized. How are you getting the Repair Scarab into the Core again?
>>
>>20243583
sounds classy but remember kids; "the first fatality in any battle is the plan." so stay frosty
>>
>>20243603
Al'kesh

We can teleport it in since the interdictors are down.
>>
>>20243583

That's all the stuff I can think of.
>>
>>20243603
>getting the Repair Scarab into the Core
Wait, so the Behemoth isn't possible?

As for how to get there, we momentarily disable one of the interdiction field generators so that an Al'Kesh can beam the vehicle as close as we can.
We then, using a map that ANON has created, cut walls and bulkheads as needed to get the vehicle through, avoiding critical systems and junctures.

"Alright, enough waiting around. We've got things to kill," Holtz states, cracking his knuckles.

Your troops are beamed as close as possible to the interdict zone, rally, and then proceed inward. Resistance is almost non-existent from the broken Black Op remnants as Holtz leads the group through a number of carefully concealed emergency access paths. Only two Black Ops squads remain along your path, and with Holtz' knowledge of the area, both are easily bushwhacked before they can even mount a defense.

Finally, your troops near the computer core, a single bulkhead between them and their destination. The Avatar winces.

"This feeling..." he murmurs. "Such an incredible aura of menace... I haven't felt such power since the Guardian, or the Shadowlords..."

Ryu's sword begins to pulsate light and sound, the ninja narrowing his eyes.

"Something is here that should not be. Something that should not BE anywhere," he murmurs.

"A barely restrained bloodlust. A sadistic glee..." Agrias murmurs. "Have... no. The Zodiac demons are slain."

"Just take that feeling of dread and let it feed your desire to kill it," Holtz states, slapping a control console as the heavy doors open. Beyond lies a massive chamber filled with machines and workstations of all sorts. The assault team moves forward hastily, stopping short at once as the shadows at the far end of the room part to reveal a massive entity of black-blue carapace and pulsing purplish flesh that seems GROWN into the base mainframe.

"What the FUCK is that?" Spike shouts.

You ended up deploying a lot more troops than I thought, so Scarab instead of Behemoth.

>>20243724
Your troops prepare themselves to attack, waiting for your order as a cold fog begins to roll in across the floor, no source visible.

As a shimmering teleportation beam deploys your Repair Scarab, a column of light appears between you and what you know to be Dark Force. Out steps Colonel Yurgus. He sneers at you.

"So you managed to push all the way to the Core. Managed to push me to reveal my trump card. It's a pity you had to be on the wrong side of this. You'd have made useful underlings."
>>
>Dark Force melded into machines

What we can expect: Various attacks based on the mechanical systems that it has burrowed itself into (i.e. turrets, special weapon systems, enemy robots, etc.). It may even have cobbled together sophisticated weaponry to integrate into itself; when it melded into the Kuran satellite, it had the ability to sprout machines from itself to fire off napalm rockets and supersonic weapons when it was pretty much melded into a series of computer terminals.
>>
>>20243790
"ANON, we're recording everything, right?
"We've got Yurgus pretty much admitting that he's been suborned and turned traitor.
"Shit, I'd even go so far as to take the two un-infected Black Ops prisoners out of stasis just so they can see this."
>>
>>20243790
"Wrong side? Underlings? You've betrayed the uniform, the Guard, and Earth. Earth and her defenders will never give in to the likes of you."
>>
>>20243790

>Yurgus

Well, shit. Looks like he's done and Zio'd himself up. Aside from the standard Black Ops training he has, we can probably assume that Dark Force is feeding him dark energy and maybe even has given him access to powerful spells. He might be able to put up a magical barrier that makes him nearly impervious to all attacks; the Aurors might be able to pierce this with their "Shield Penetration Spell" (unnamed in the series) or "Reducto" or create a gap in it with "Partus Temporus".

Yurgus may even be able to do the "Black Wave" spell, which barfs pure darkness at a single foe; our heroes may be able to tank this, but any regular unit may face a slow and painful death if hit by it. If we use a strong Esuna or other purifying measure, we might be able to free a unit from its deathly clutches.
>>
Aw shit!
Someone remembered that we brought along Staffs of Negation, right?
It was in the last thread.
>>
>>20243790

"And here you are, gotten yourself ensnared by a dark entity, content to serve as its pawn. For pity's sake Yurgus, as a native of the metaverse should know, those positions are always untenable and temporary at best. Who put you up to this? Kane?"

Yurgus laughs. "Everything will burn to ash, save the single world, the single future. We Firemen will save the true Earth from corruption, from contamination, from the illusions of worlds a pale shadow to our home."

ANON: "Recording..."

"Go ahead. Have Dark Force say that you're its master. If it does, I'll eat my dress uniform hat."
>>
>>20243896

Yurgus...

You're an idiot. No, really, you're just stupid. You don't even deserve an epic white knight speech where we attempt to talk you down or redeem you. Fire every holy thing we've got at the Dark Force.

"Well... technically speaking, Dark Force is more of the white-hot hatred of a fallen goddess given flesh and form. Now, I won't presume to speak for such an entity, but it seems that it is not the type to be the one to serve anyone. Especially not a middle-aged human with megalomania that managed to get one of the largest fleets in the known metaverse scrapped to about 20 ships. If it weren't for it being a proxy or extension for the Profound Darkness, I don't think it would have been serving *it* either."

Yurgus snaps his fingers and the air around him shimmers.

The Devastators begin to set up as the Tactical squad unleash a hail of bolter fire, that unfortunately seems to only strike the computer equipment and infestation around the demon's edges. His body bursts into dark flames and falls completely to ash onboard the ship.

Ryu races towards Yurgus, the Dragon Sword whistling through the air only to be deflected by a magic barrier around the fallen Colonel. Yurgus smiles grimly and snaps his fingers again. A ghostly visage of another Dark Force appears over his head.

Lyla and Elaine use their Staves of Negation in unison this time, the Avatar choosing to boost their efforts by channeling a dispel spell modified on the fly through them.

"An Grav!" the Avatar intones, clamping a hand down on both White Mages as they raise their staves. Yurgus flashes green as the air stops shimmering around him.

"Any of us could help with the repairs, but it would require our deployment into the field," Egon reports. He begins reaching for his proton pack. "If need be, I at least, can be ready shortly."

The air is continually split with the deafening retorts of bolters, autocannon, and blasters as Dark Force's carapace begins to be chipped away. The melee team has reached the monster now, and begins to engage as Holtz races towards Yurgus.

The melee team hack away with weapons legendary and not as legendary, and though they cleave through plate after plate of dark, reflective chitin, Dark Force shows no reaction. Finally twin pods of flesh roll back to reveal two dish-like machines. A piercing sonic shriek splits the air as everyone save the Aurors takes damage, no one's reflexes fast enough to reach the safety of the spell-barrier.

One of the Space Marines launches the Ebon Lance at Yurgus, the Black Ops leader ducking underneath the projectile with startling speed. The lance sails past him, slows, and begins to float back to its wielder's hand rather than embedding itself into the wall like it normally does. At the same time, Yurgus and Dark Force seem to shrug off the Slow spells. Yurgus smiles.

"Your name is Lyla, is it? How fitting, if you knew the history there..." Yurgus says, snapping his fingers again. The ghostly Dark Force above him opens its maw and a stream of black energy bursts forth, striking Lyla in the chest. She screams and falls, Elaine's face going ashen.

"Ly... Lyla?" she murmurs.

>Undo misfortune. A wish can undo a single recent event. The wish forces a reroll of any roll made within the last round (including your last turn). Reality reshapes itself to accommodate the new result. For example, a wish could undo an opponent’s successful save, a foe’s successful critical hit (either the attack roll or the critical roll), a friend’s failed save, and so on. The reroll, however, may be as bad as or worse than the original roll. An unwilling target gets a Will save to negate the effect, and spell resistance (if any) applies.

A wish or miracle spell can rewrite reality. However Vitun is out of spells. It's a good thing Vitun has some http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/wondrous-items/wondrous-items/m-p/pearl-of-power

Observing the fight from a spot on the bridge while he recovers, Vitun reaches into a pouch and lays a finger on his last resort, his pearl of power. The power within the pearl is expended as the hand of Desna is turned against the hand of the Profound Darkness, the wills of two deities vying for dominance over the fate of a single woman.

"No... No, I won't let you die too!" Elaine cries, casting aside her staff as she cradles Lyla's still form. "I can reach farther into death's domain than anyone else! I can stop this! It is Elaine's unique talent for pulling the dead back along with her own bond with Lyla that tips the scales, however. Lyla's eyes shoot open as she takes a ragged breath, Elaine's face brightening.

"Zio, you ain't, kiddo," Holtz says, a sharp metal stake sliding out from his wrist. He leaps at Yurgus. "Now I'm gonna rip out your lungs and make bagpipes or some shit outta them."

"VAS FLAM HUR!" the Avatar shouts as a large portion of Dark Force explodes outward. The incarnation of evil howls in pain, temporarily distracted as Darius, a Space Marine and Gondegal heedlessly throw themselves onto the mountain of flesh, cutting and stabbing with Ringil, the Voiceless Spear, and Gondegal's own ghostly blade.

"This goddamn job- WHY AM I EVEN HERE?!" Spike shouts as he peeks out from the Auror shield to plink at the monster with his pistol. "I feel like a kid with a water pistol who wandered into a tank battle!"

"Statement: You only feel the inevitable recognition of your own inferiority, meatbag," HK-50 states as he fires a burst from cover as well. Spike scowls at the droid. In the midst of the fighting, Agrias pauses as electricity crackles around her.

"Absorb power in the sky and strike!" Agrias shouts, slashing Gurthang through the air. "Lightning Stab!"

A giant, ghostly blade of electricity juts up from the floor to impale Dark Force, electrocuting it before dissipating. The creature seems weakened, but not dead, even as Alicia and Lavian slice into the creature with beam sabers. In response to this, Dark Force unleashes a wave of dark fire from its upper body. Though some of the melee team takes damage from not being able to reach the shield fast enough, the ranged attackers are all able to reach the shield spell safely, and some of the melee team manages to dodge or duck under the wave.

If we can't get rid of the grenades, have our local foot soldiers (UNIT, SCP, whoever's in the core) throw themselves on top of the grenades. We can easily ressurect them later; in fact, this actually makes them safer than they would otherwise be, as they won't be dealing with Dark Force's anti-rezz attacks.

Scout hits one of the grenades with uncanny precision, sending it spinning back at the soldier that threw it along with another grenade airblasted by Pyro. As explosions consume those soldiers, nearby Space Marines throw themselves on top of the other grenades. The resulting explosion cracks their powered armor and pulps their insides, but the reraises cast earlier on them trigger, restoring them to life albeit injured.

The retaliatory fire wipes out the Black Ops, Spike managing to core through one of the remaining Elites with a well placed shot as blaster and bolter fire hammers away the armor of the Elites until there is simply no protection left. A shining ball of light from Pharoah Man slams into one of the soldiers and reduces him to ash as Skull Man lands the killing blow on another with a charged Buster shot.

However, plasma fire from the soldiers manage to take out four of the YVH droids before they fall, and even then...

Three of the slain Elites stand up again, blue, chitinous flesh now covering the holes that had been blasted through them. They begin to steadily move forward, taking advantage of cover in crew pits as they continue to fire.

Dark Force uses the moment of confusion to extrude a pair of rocket launchers, firing a deadly barrage that burns through the re-raises of several of the troops present.

Yurgus holds out his hands, brownish-yellow flames dancing in each palm before throwing them at the group. The Corrosion spell damages everyone, and manages to wipe out all of BLU save the Heavy and the Engineer, who was protected within the shield.

Calling it here for the night. Tune in tomorrow!
>>
>>20245503
We'll need to have the Vanguard Team continue to fight the Black Ops Elites.

Engineer will need to set up a Sentry.

We need to get Holtz back on his feet, and take out Yurgus.
Maybe Ryu again?
>>
>>20245503
There's only 3 of the Elites back up.
One Auror can be tasked to using Petrificus Totalus, Locomotor Corpus, or Levicorpus spells to stop the Elites and make them easier to target.

As soon as BLU Team finishes rezzing, they need to hoof it down to the computer room.

We need to get someone to heal up Holtz; maybe since he's a cyborg, have the Repair Scarab turn its nano-repair system on him.

Also, now that Yurgus is wounded, the Ebon Lance might hit him.

Lyla and Elaine, do a double Holy on Dark Force.

Mustadio should target Yurgus with Arm Shot. Turn Yurgus into Abaddon, and just as useless.
>>
We could also have an Auror throw up a Protego Maxima barrier around the Dark Force head that Yurgus is conjuring up. It probably won't stop the Black Wave, but it may weaken it enough for our guys to survive getting hit by it.

After the mutated Black Ops guys are dealt with, we should assign Heavy, HK-50 and Spike to fire at Yurgus now that the magical barrier is down. We may even want to divert 10 or so of the YVH droids to take on Yurgus as well.
>>
>>20245503

Heavy, hide behind the barrier and eat your Sandvich.I think he would be better used to provide suppressing fire on the mutated back ops.

Thinking about it, I don't think the respawn system would handle reviving a TF2 member hit by Black Wave. So we risk losing one or all of them permanently!

Reading up on Dark Force in PSII he had the ability to turn party members evil but he has only had this ability in PSII.
So we should be safe.
Hopefully.
>>
>>20247635
Maybe we should have one or two of the White Mages try a Cure 2 on Holtz to get him back into the fight.

Putting up a Protego Maxima ward around the shadow Dark Force sounds good.
>>
>>20248285
According to the visuals we have, this is the Dark Force (Form 1) from Phantasy Star IV.

We need to kill Yurgus so that we can concentrate on just one boss, rather than a mini-boss and a boss at the same time.
>>
>>20248285

In PSIV, Black Wave is only an instant kill in two instances; the first one was meant to be a major plot point, and the other was meant to be a harsh way of reminding players to dispel Zio's Magical Barrier when they fought him the second time. If this fight follows the same logic, then Yurgus' Black Wave is no longer an insta-death-fuck-your-rezzes attack. Although it still probably hurts like all holy hell.

I second the notion that we should drop Yurgus as fast as possible. The melee people can continue dicing up Dark Force, but we might want to peel off some of the KI with ranged weaponry and have them focus fire on Yurgus. Maybe throw in Ryu and some other agile fighters as well.
>>
>>20252725
The Vanguard Team have a Tactical Squad and a Devastator Squad.
We could retest the Tacticals to shoot Yurgus while the Devastators shoot the Black Ops Elites.
Either way a single Auror should try to immobilize the Black Ops so that killing them is easier.

The YVH platoon, Pharaoh Man, Skull Man, HK-50, and Spike can finish off the Elites.

After this is done, we should look to see if the Street Samurais from our Shadowrunner Teams have Smartlinks.
If they do, it might help our troops if we integrated the Smartlinks into Spike's eye, and provided Mustadio with a pair of Smartlink glasses.
And do the same for all of our troops that use guns and don't have targeting computers handy.

Erk. Just read that the Black Wave that hit Lyla occurred after the barrier went down. Pic related.

At any rate, we should make the ranged guys' priority to take down Yurgus before he Black Waves someone else, excluding the guys taking care of the remaining re-animated Black Ops Elite. We should look to see if Holtz is holding on or if he's not doing so hot either.
>>
While waiting on MetaOP.

Should we get Aeshma into the fight? Those scrolls of Mass Heal would be handy, but I'm worried that with her magic system as it is, she won't be of much use beyond just using the scrolls.
Then again, maybe that's enough.
>>
>>20255267

She's also a melee combatant. If nothing else, she could stay within the safe zone and use Mass Heal scrolls. That alone would take a significant amount of pressure off of the strained White Mages.
>>
>>20255363
We could also give her a satchel of photon grenades to give to Spike and HK-50 when she gets there.
Or a pair of Mass Rifles.

The barrages of blaster and plasma fire from the robots under your command burn through the vastly outnumbered Elites in moments.

Seeing his minions fall, Yurgus growls, almost feral in his rage. He summons another wave of brown-yellow flames to wash over your troops, dealing minimal damage to your robots, but causing a trio of already wounded Devastators to collapse, screaming as fire burns them within their armor. Darius turns and growls at the sight of his men dying. A momentary lapse in concentration that costs him as a large cannon emerges from Dark Force's form and blasts him across the floor. The Space Marine commander slides across the steel plating, a smoking crater in his armor. Darius slowly pulls himself back to his feet as twin columns of light burn into Dark Force, the demon-king burning under the dual Holies of Elaine and Lyla.

The Repair Scarab turns to work on Holtz, who is breathing heavily and clutching at his wound. He seems alive, but unable to move. The robot takes a few moments to repair the Sector Manager's cyberware, but it doesn't seem to help his condition.

One of the Aurors summons the last of his strength to encase the Dark Force head above Yurgus in a mystical barrier.

Vitun begins to heal up Aeshma's leg as Egon teleports near the fighting, already hoofing it to the battlefield.

Ryu sends a Fire Wheel Ninpo into Dark Force, burning away another part of it as the combined firepower of almost all your troops rips Yurgus apart. The Colonel lets out a squeal of pain akin to pigs being slaughtered as he is mangled by the repeated heavy rounds. However, as he falls to the ground, blue-black growths begin to sprout all over him as his flesh twists and morphs.

Heavy finishes eating and begins to swing Sasha around for another barrage at Dark Force. Your Salarian Engineers are prepped and waiting for orders to deploy, though the battlefield is extremely crowded.

It is this crowding that compounds the damage done as Dark Force sends another rocket barrage into your ranks. Finalon dodges aside and Darius grabs Star-Lord and shields him from the blast with his armor. Agrias and her helpers take severe wounds as shrapnel digs into them. Your White Mage squad desperately tries to keep up with the damage, raising the three recently deceased Space Marines, but six more fall as the damage begins to mount.

As soon as Aeshma makes it to the battlefield and under the shield, have her use the Mass Heal scrolls.

Do you guys think we should have Agrias use Gurthang's Time dilation ability so she can move a lot faster than everyone else? If so, what should she do?
>>
>>20257654
If Agrias uses the Time Dilation ability, then she should behead Yurgus and take him out before he can enter the fight again.
>>
>>20257702

Alright. I think we should have her do this, then.

Activate Time Dilation, dice up Yurgus in vital spots. Decapitation, evisceration, swordobotomy, etc.
>>
>>20257507
Have Star-Lord also now join in slicing up Dark Force.
>>
>>20257754
Actually situations like the ones we're in now is pretty much explicitly why we hired Star-Lord.
Seeing as shit like this has happened to him like at least three times, he might have some tactical advice.
>>
>>20257702
>>20257722

Do you think we should order the Vanguard Team to halt for a moment in their fire while Agrias does her thing? The Time Dilation should offer her enough time to slice and dice and get out of the way, but you never know. She's also pretty heavily injured; that much firepower being levelled at Yurgus could result in a few misplaced shots, which could injure her more or even kill her. She has a ReRaise active, but still.
>>
>>20257782
Star-Lord was hired for this kind of small squad tactic coordination.
Healers heal Agrias, Star-Lord orders Vanguard Team to stop firing on three, Agrias activates Time dilation at the same time, takes out Yurgus, then as she goes out of Time Dilation, Vanguard Team resumes fire.

"Draw a bead on the target! Wait! Agrias, go now!" Star-Lord calls out as Agrias turns and flares with power for a moment as she becomes a blur of motion, slicing apart the wriggling remains of Yurgus into many bits and pieces. The Holy Knight manages to dash back to her original position before the effect wears off and a torrent of energy and high power rounds further reduce Yurgus' corpse to paste, then ash.

>>20257614
It would appear so.

Aeshma is now on her way, another Flare Shot from Dark Force slagging a YVH droid.

Against all odds, the Al'Kesh's timing is perfect, and its beaming precise, the power core hurled into the sun as it detonates to no effect. The interaction of the core's energies with the Al'Kesh however, fry the shuttle and the droid above, but so spot on was the transport that the station is unharmed otherwise, save for the power shutting down across the grid. A few backup generators that survived even manage to activate safely, making small pockets of the station liveable.

>Lose 1 Al'Kesh.
>Lose 1 Securitron.

>>20258809
Is the Al'Kesh salvageable at all? Or the Securitron?

Have Elaine and Lyla cast Raise 2's on anyone still needing them.
Get all combat troops to the Medbay on the Storm. Dr. Han, Dr. Lazarus to try to get everyone healed up, and Medic to help once he respawns.

YVH Platoon, recover all fallen droids and bring them to the Engineering Bay where they will await repairs.

Try to heal up Holtz as quickly as possible.

We need to know if we should move the station to the Vaderverse for its safety, if he can send a message to High Command, with our video evidence of Yurgus going full Col. Kurtz on us.

Also, we need to see if the Aurors who didn't participate in the fight can use scrying to find where Eva's body was taken.
>>
>>20258809

(body, loss count)
>>
>>20258875
Neither is salvageable.

Another issue that requires your attention are the surviving crew of the station. Though it is intact, the station isn't really suitable for long-term habitation given that the vast majority of it lacks power.
>>
>>20258900
Would it be possible to construct a replacement reactor?
Like have MechaGodzilla serve as a temporary power source with its S2 engine?
>>
>>20258900

Can we replace the reactor?

In anycase we need to dock our vessels for Repairs.

Dock them and run power cables off their reactors, that should keep the base running while we effect repairs and consider our next moves.

Does the EO fleet have blueprints? Any would do, especially the Mining Barge blueprints.
>>
>>20258900
Plenty of room on the Star Destroyers for now.

I figure we should probably drag the Base into Vader-verse to prevent any of the Black Ops that bolted from coming back and jumping us.

Have our guys start repairing the base so we can build a replacement reactor.
>>
>>20258900
For now, we have the Star Destroyers and the All Under Heaven so we can have the base personnel take up temporary quarters.

But we need Holtz in a Reconstruction Tank, and talking to us.
We need to know if we can move the station to Vaderverse, if he can send a message to High Command about Black Ops' betrayal.

Right now, the engineers need to finish repairing the power regulators; we'll need them when the base gets a new reactor anyway.
>>
...Damnit all this fighting and we still haven't solved our Orz problem.

>>
>>20258931
Nope, but you DO have a Hiigaran Shipyard.

The base has enough power with your ship reactors to work as a repair dock for now, though it might be touch and go for a bit. Between the casualties and damage taken during the struggle, repairs will take a long, long time.
>>
>>20259123
Okay.
Begin recovery of bodies immediately.
We need to try to Raise and reconstruct as many base personnel as we can, putting them into nannybags as they wait.

ANON, could we use the Storm and the All Under Heaven's Meta Transit Drives together to take the station with us to the Vaderverse we cleared?

We really need to talk with Holtz as soon as he's up.
>>
>>20259104
You'd have to ask him.
>>
...Tassadar forgot to send us that warrior didn't he?
Politely ask him if he could send some forces to assist us now that the combat has ended?
>>
>>20259154
I think the bigger issue is that he had no way to teleport them to us. He had to send them manually.

Also, I want all bodies from our side brought to Medical. I want all bodies from Black Ops sent to quarantine.
>>
>>20259154
>...Tassadar forgot to send us that warrior didn't he?
He didn't forget, the fight simply didn't last long enough for him to arrive.

We need the White Mages working shifts for Raising base personnel and ship crews. Medic and Dr. Han can handle the injured, since they have Mediguns.
>>
>>20259154
Upon checking in on your Protoss reinforcements, you find that they were accosted by a large group of infected Black Ops on their way to reinforce Yurgus. The Protoss managed to wipe them out, but they didn't manage to make it in time for the battle. On the bright side, you didn't have to deal with more than the 6 bodyguards Yurgus had.
>>
>>20259175
Well in that case, thank you for the assistance Tassadar.
>>
So how long before primary HQ learns of this event?
>>
>>20259175

On other plans, start doing these:
>>20259164
>>20259171
>>20259146
>>
>>20259123

Send word to begin production of Resource Collector/Repair Drones and salvage corvettes.

These should help us speed up repairs to the base and our ships while letting us pick up the leftovers of the battle. Gotta be something interesting in all the scrap metal.

We might find some intel from surviving data cores.

To-Do List:
1. Recover all base personnel and ship crew bodies for revival.
2. Get Holtz able to speak again, and contact High Command with our evidence of the Firemen's plot.
3. Question the Black Ops prisoners.
4. Salvage and repair our ships and troops. Great Fox, Prawn Suits, Star Fox Team (some people want to try talking with Falco and Slippy while they're dead to see if they can contact Fox and resurrect him as well).
5. Put Prawn Combat Suits, VF-25, TIE Defender, Securitron Mk. II, YVH Droid into Creation Engine Database.
6. Acquire/manufacture a reactor for Sector HQ.
7. Ask Holtz if we can move Sector HQ to a more defensible location, such as a habitable planet in the Milky Way of the Vader-verse.
8. Pop into a Demi-Plane in order to complete research and perform upgrades.
9. Resettle the Protoss.
10. Go on an acquisition trip.
>>
>>20262860
You forgot
11. Try to salvage the plan to seal the Orz away.
>>
>>20264458
That means staying here to accept the delivery of the Quarantine Frame.
Either way, we should have Vitun create a demi-plane as soon as he has spells back. Being able to double our time working on repairs will be useful.

Now, as for actually containing the Orz.
We'll want to have our own dimensional barriers up and working before we attempt it; otherwise the Orz will just *pull* us when we try to put the Quarantine Frame in place.
>>
>>20264762

Should probably get our Magic-Users on researching how to apply the wards the TSAB gave us. Maybe even see if we can rig up some version of the dimensional stabilizers that we rigged up the Shadowrun canon with.
>>
I return to wrap up this thread.

Most of the bodies you recover are past the point of revival, either with Raise or the Reconstruction tanks, since most of the base personnel weren't equipped with the various life-saving devices you have. However, there are a handful still within the zone of opportunity and you swiftly put those on ice. Resurrection is always an option, but due to its expensive nature, unfeasible for the vast majority of the dead. Quite a queue has built up for your reconstruction tanks. Approximately one fourth of the base's staff has survived, not counting the dead you are working on reviving.

A piece of very good news is that you managed to find the Quarantine Frame in one of the base's hangar bays, completely intact.

I think we should find out what happened to Yellowman, although with our ships providing power to the base, I'm unsure if we can go out on a rescue mission for him at the moment.

How are the captured Black Ops guys faring? Do they show any signs of mutation or any other biological anomalies forming? How about that one Black Ops guy who got punched in the throat?
>>
Hey, OP. Odd question for you. How many of our Lesser Solenoid Engines would it take to power the base in place of the reactor?

Also, maybe get an Auror or two who's not utterly exhausted to attempt to scry for Yellowman? We know Eva's body was taken. Appropriate wards and protections, of course.
>>
>>20267817

>>20267857

Let's get to questioning the non-evil Black Ops guy who has just had his brush with death. Get Douglas to pry information out of him; if Spike is feeling up to it, have him go as well.

>>

>>20267914
"I doubt I'm up for anything for a while..." Holtz wheezes. With a shaking hand, he reaches into his ruined suit and begins to withdraw a series of cards and a small datapad. He presses them into your hand. "Con... Congratulations. You're in charge... for now. Don't... lose these. Or I'll... I'll do... something..."
>>
>>20267914

Do you think we should get the LS2 engines we installed in our mecha and donate them toward re-powering the base? It would be annoying for our mecha maintenance crew, but I think cutting down on the time to get HQ online would be worth it.
>>
>>20267958

For starters we can ask them about the battle the black ops marched in and got their asses kicked.
>>
>>20267958

1.) Name, rank, unit designation.

2.) What happened when Yurgus attempted to destroy the reality distortion with the huge victory fleet was given? In retrospect, did any of his orders seem unusual?

3.) Were there any notable changes in the chain of command before Yurgus was assigned to deal with the mobile reality distortion?

4.) That thing you were talking about before you got blindsided by your buddy. What exactly was that thing they were giving to the Black Ops people? Excluding that one guy who throatpunched you, were any of your other squadmates given that thing?
>>
>>20267958
This stuff right here? Whoever has these gets a round-the-clock armed escort. Anyone even looks funny at these things, backhand them through a bulkhead or something.

As for questions... I think we'd be better off getting his story first. Ask him what happened starting from the transit out from the Sector HQ to the moving distortion's position. Move on to what the specific orders he received during the period from then until he was captured were; in order. Make it clear to him that he should volunteer any and all information even remotely relevant.

The more he cooperates, the better it will factor into what happens when he gets moved along the legal system.
>>
>>20267998

Damn, I meant.
First ask then what happened when they sailed towards the "moving reality distortion" and got their asses kicked
>>
>>20267958
That reminds me, we need to get to work researching that stuff we Ninja-Looted from Guy.
>>
>>20268076

Hmm. Do you think we should draw up a rough mockup of the insignia that was on Guy's reality emitter and see if this Black Ops dude recognizes it?
>>
>>20268096
Couldn't hurt.
>>
>>20267998
"What happened to the fleet, the big one that was heading for the distortion?" Spike asks.

"Don't lie... or I'll know," Douglas warns. The Black Ops pauses.

"I wasn't with the bridge crew... so I don't know exactly what happened. I do know that we lie in wait for the fleet that was approaching, most of our forces stealthed and with many traps prepared. We thought ourselves ready to face down a force many times our size, but..." the soldiers shakes his head. "They detected our ships that weren't hidden and broadcast a message. We didn't respond until they had reached the first range line, when they were in optimum effect range for the first of our traps. We responded by opening fire and detonating the first trap. They didn't fire back, at first, they hailed us again. We didn't respond and kept attacking. Then they fired back."

The soldier shakes his head. "I don't know what happened, I was with a group standing by for boarders. But from an observation port I saw two things. Our ships being ripped apart, and the sheer numbers of the enemy fleet. They were far, far larger than what we had estimated. I'm not sure what countermeasures Admiral Neihy had planned, but I don't think they worked. After about twenty minutes of fighting, my ship was ordered to join Colonel Yurgus and his fleet, falling back for a mission. They kept details to a minimum. We were just told to secure control of the space station at all costs."
>>
>>20268138

As a Black Ops member, I'm sure you've seen a lot of starships from various canons during your service or during your training. Did any of the ships from the reality distortion fleet appear familiar to you?
>>
>>20268138
Is there enough of Yugrus left to be able to Speak with Dead on him?
>>
>>20268020
1.) "Corporal Dmitri Jurgovich. Fifty-fifth Special Operations Marines."

2.)"Colonel Yurgus wasn't in command of the entire fleet, just a portion of it. The orders I received were fairly straightforward, I don't know what he told the rest."

3.) "Quite a few people were shuffled around for the operation, but I don't have details."

4.) "It was an injection... It was supposed to greatly enhance the standard soldier's strength and resistance to damage. We were supposed to take them if the fighting got too fierce for standard protocols, give us an edge. I lost my syringe during a fight, and I'm glad for it... I don't know what 'D-cells' are, but after seeing what they do to you, I know I never want them near me."

>>20268096
Douglas sketches the insignia and shows it to the soldier, who nods.

"I saw that emblem on one of the largest ships, stenciled on the side."
>>
>>20268199

>>20268193
"A few, yes... The enemy seemed to be similar to us in that they make use of Fictionals as well as their own designs. But... there were so many..."

Great, we got a battered station, there is a huge fleet that we can assume is still baring down on us and we haven't given them a good first impression, and we got Orz to deal with.
>>
>>20268215
Hmm. Well, that confirms one suspicion. Frankly, you are perfectly right to be afraid of what those D-Cells would have done. We just got done fighting a manifestation of Dark Force trying to corrupt the station. A lot of the other Black Ops weren't lucky.

We've encountered a small scouting force that had equipment with this symbol. Have you heard any rumors of a new Meta-capable faction recently?

Frankly, Corporal; this is a bad thing for everyone. I mean, drawing on pure evil like that... It's just wrong on so many levels. We don't hold the fact you were following orders against you.

Out of curiosity, we had recently captured a number of SUEs for experimentation into new anti-SUE techniques and technologies/magics.. Would you happen to know what happened to them?

On that note, OP.. Whatever happened to that one girl that got turned into a SUErum generator but got cured. Is she on-base or sent somewhere or what? I'm kinda curious.

Well ok then. If it was a blind pick and only for cloning, I withdraw my rage filled remark.

We should look into getting about 15-20 Guardians with max skilled cap pilots, though.

Why? infinite energy and armor repairs. Basilisks if we want shields.

Back to reading the archives for me!
>>
>>20268554

Did you happen to hear any other Black Ops members mention any rumors or anything related to delicate transportation or valuable cargo transportation while you were holding or taking the station? Anything at all will be helpful, here.
>>
hey while i agree that getting as much info out of both our living and our dead captives. As well healing our injured troops, i recommend that our main healers get some rest and should only be woken if some one destabilizes. And if any of our people as well as the rescued crew have medical experience they take take shifts doing what they can of the injured. but i also think we should take the time to get a estimate of the damages caused and the time and resources it will take to get the station back in fighting shape (as we as taking anything that may be useful but doesn't work counter to our repair ops).
>>
>>20268574
Requisitions is locked down, and with us up for a military tribunal, we wouldn't be able to requisition anything anyway. Anything we get, we have to get ourselves.

>>20268554
"Alright Corporal. During your time with the task force, did you hear any of the higher-ups refer to anyone named Kane? Because the GOOD news would be your task force was compromised by a Meta-Native."

MetaOP, are the Nocturne's cloning tanks up and running? It has enough tanks to greatly help in creating new bodies.

Also, how quickly could our scientists put the designs for the Prawn Combat Suit, Securitron Mk. II, YVH Droid, and the R-9C's into the Creation Engine Database?
>>
If we haven't already, we should have the members of our magical research team get to understanding/adapting the TSAB dimensional wards so we can start slapping them on our ships.
>>
>>20268705
A day for the Securitron, 2 days for the YVH, 3 for the Prawn Suit, and a week for the R-type.

The clone tanks are operational.

"No mention of Kane was made in my presence... but I am just a grunt."

>>20268665
"No... not really."
>>
>>20268768
Already working on understanding it.
They're TSAB spell programs, so without their Devices to help us with magic calculations, it's difficult.
>>
>>20268705

Well, we can always travel to an EVE canon and buy up the ships on Jita if we sell the ships we have. Everything we have now is garbage anyways. Better to get logistics ships for easy repairs/power generation. The only problem would be finding max skilled logi pilots. The inifinite cap trick only works with logistics V.

One good thing about EVE is, as long as you have ISK, noone gives a fuck unless you're red, and that only applies in nullsec.
>>
>>20268705
>>20268554

Bit of an unusual question here, but did you happen to notice any managerial/clerical staff or support staff who had a trim physique, a short beard with mustache, and was also bald? Kind of unobtrusive and bland?
>>
>>20268776

'Not really?' so that means you did hear something at least marginally pertaining to transportation, then?

Those other Black Ops people we captured alongside of you... do you happen to know any of them personally? Could any of them have been in touch with the higher-ups?
>>
>>20268797
Going to the EVE Online Canon will have to wait.
The Star Trek Canons offer far more bang for our energy credit, with their industrial replicators, shield and phaser technology, and transporters.
And then there's the Stargate Canon where we need to acquire ZPM's and a City-Ship from Asuras during its destruction.
And then there's the need to visit the FFT Canon to pick up the plants needed to start up a hydroponics lab to create more Ethers.

In addition, there's still the worlds we need to visit to drop off the Protoss and contain the Orz, as well as reinforcing the Dark Matter Office.
>>
>>20268854
"They were members of my squad. Grunts like me. No, I didn't see anyone like that."
>>
>>20268860
We need to visit Zerg Quest again, to pick up Zeratul and the Spectre Juice. Maybe even have Tassadar leave a "HAHAHA! I'm not dead, fuckers!" message before we leave just to fuck with them.

We also need to get on reviving Falco and Slippy and seeing if we can get ahold of some Arwing II blueprints.
>>
>>20268860

Maybe, but EVE logistics ships are fantastic at repairs, and Bassies and Guardians can make infinite energy via cap transfer arrays.

Are you saying you're too good for infinite energy and armor/shield reps?
>>
>>20268914
We have LSEs, we're fine on the infinite energy front. And we have more important things to do.
>>
>>20268868

Did you notice anything unusual going on with the higher-ups or amongst the other Black Ops forces during the taking of this sector's HQ? Not counting the whole mutating into demonic scythe-men and them piling up corpses to make fun-sized versions of an evil goddess.

>Other stuff

Hey OP, did Mouse and the hacker teams/Elaine manage to recover the data in the recorder? That footage of Yurgus shooting Holtz would still be pretty helpful. And you never know when footage of Ahriman slamming face-first into a Wall of Force will be useful.
>>
>>20268868
"I I think that's all of the questions for now. Undoubtedly as our investigation, and High Command's own inquiry, proceeds we will come back to you with other questions."

"ANON, can we move the Sector HQ using the two Meta Transit Drives of the All Under Heaven and the Storm?"
>>
>>20268914
>Are you saying you're too good for infinite energy and armor/shield reps?
Yes, we are. Because the Lesser S2 Engines can give us infinite energy as well, none of those EVE ships have protection against beaming technology, we have nanite repair systems that just need to be adapted for ship-wide use, we need replication capability to make much of the equipment that our crews and troops require as well as to repair Sector HQ.
And the sensor systems on an Asuran City-Ship outstrip anything that the EVE ships have, and the Ancient Drone Weapons on such a City-Ship ignore shields.
>>
>>20268951

We may want to get into contact with High Command before we start moving bases. At the very least, we need to give them our version of the events. We may even need to decide whether we should stay for the inquiry or cheese it and try to seek out asylum with another meta-faction.

"Like in this photo..."
>>
>>20268986
We need feasibility analysis done first.

But yes, now is when we should contact High Command about this incident before Black Ops can do so.

MetaOP, in the datapad that Holtz gave us, does he list any Messiah or Moderate admirals at High Command that would be willing to help us?
We need to find an ally there.
>>
>>20268947
Yes, the recorder data is fine.

>>20268989
"No."

>>20268951
"It will be a strain, but we should be able to just manage."

>>20269022
None are listed specifically as "potential ally", but all of the profiles Holtz has are annotated with which faction they are officially or unofficially aligned with.
>>
>>20269111
Okay, could you give us quick overviews of the Moderates and the Messiahs?
Specifically ones that would be involved in a tribunal and investigation?
>>
>>20269111

I'm a bit foggy as to the different factions within the Transspace Guard. There's the Firemen, who range from "Meta-Earth's safety is priority #1 at all costs" to "KILL ERRYTHING NOT PURE EARTH". Then there's the Messiah faction, who I am unsure of; they probably view the Transspace Guard as the stewards of reality. And the moderates, who are somewhere in between. If anyone else is more familiar with the Editors setting, please correct or add information to this.

At any rate, we should organize our evidence. Here's what I think might be important:

1.) Footage of Yurgus demanding control of the station and shooting Holtz and Eva.

2.) Records of the Black Ops fleet still acting in a hostile manner after confronting them with this footage.

3.) Computer records of our ships getting hacked and control systems of the Storm being compromised and forced to fire at Black Ops (and at our ships).

4.) Footage of mutating Black Ops guys and Black Ops mutants stacking corpses in an attempt to recreate the Profound Darkness.

5.) Footage of Yurgus' whole speech, along with Dark Force. Also Yurgus mutating after being shot down.

6.) Footage of various battles taking place outside and inside our ships and the station.
>>
So what happened to BLU team?
>>
>>20269253
7.) Records of how Black Ops did not provide a legitimate authorization command code for their actions here, and tried to pass off only half of a valid code as the full command code.
>>
>>20269263
They respawned and are back at base.

>>20269203
That will have to wait for next thread, I don't have those characters completely ready yet. You can assume the information is on there, though.
>>
>>20269287

8.) Records of Vol Opt. virus attempting to permanently delete everything on the Oncoming Storm's recorder.

9.) Footage of Black Ops mutants turning on their non-mutated brethren.
>>
>>20269325

OP, just to make sure, Holtz is no longer in danger of dying, right? But he's just going to need a lot of time to heal up from the damage caused by the Black Wave?
>>
>>20269386
he's stable but it's going to be awhile until he's back in peak shape
>>
>>20269386
Holtz is no danger of dying from the Black Wave.
>>
>>20269325
Okay, then other things to note are that we are having the Hiigaran Shipyard (which is still unnamed) use its capabilities to repair ships from our task force and the Protoss fleet.

The Hercules is pumping out Repair Scarabs so that the Nano Repair Systems can be used to repair ship hulls and systems.

Pull all scientists except those working on the Foreign Transpace Communicator to work on putting designs into the Creation Engine Database.
>>
>>20269433
Do we have enough spells/magic/Juju left between Vitun and Tosh to try and contact Falco and Slippy and see if they can get Fox to come back with them when we revive them?
>>
Should we try to attempt to contact Yellowman with the Comm. Array?

Also OP, how is Dr. Cossack doing? And for that matter, is his daughter safe and sound?

If we can't get a hold of him, then I can't think of anything else we should get in order before we contact High Command. Unless we want to interrogate the remaining Black Ops guys.
>>
>>20269470
Items to put into Creation Engine Database in order:
1. Securitron Mk. II
2. YVH Droid
3. Prawn Combat Suit

We should probably discuss which aerospace fighter we're going to put all of those Solvalou fighter pilots into.
The R-9C has a powerful attack, but the VF-25 is very versatile.
The TIE Defender, on the other hand, is cheaper by giving up its atmospheric capabilities.
>>
>>20269526
>I can't think of anything else we should get in order before we contact High Command
There's still engineering and science queues to hammer out.
>>
>>20269526
>>20269524

Cossack is out of the tank, but still recovering from his neck being snapped. You don't know what happened with his daughter, but you can bet he'll be worried when he comes to.

You'll need to use True Resurrection to bring back Falco and Slippy.
>>
>>20269595
Holtz's datapad has the transpace frequency of the off-world colony that we sent Kalinka to, right?

I think we should call up the colony and confirm that she's safe.
>>
>>20269674
It does, and she is.
>>
>>20269595
Yeah, I know. So we have to wait a day for that, I mean right now see if we can have Vitun and Tosh contact them while they're still dead to see if they've encountered their Fox and if he'd be willing to come back with them.

Also be all "Sorry it's taking so long to get you revived, Vitun had to use his spells and we ran into an encounter with an evil deities that risked permanently killing some guys, so they got moved up the Queue to prevent that."
>>
>>20269541
>>The R-9C has a powerful attack, but the VF-25 is very versatile.

The VF-25 has specialized gear to itself. Part of the training involves remote control via the suit/powered armor, operating the powered armor that doubles as the pilot seat, and learning to carefully pick up eggs with the mech and/or the powered armor.

There's also the part where the VF-25 behaves too differently compared to every other fighter we have available.
>>
>>20269695
Alright. I assume that the Meta Comm Array is capable of handling multiple connections; is this right?

Once Cossack is recovered, we can let him phone Kalinka.

>>20269716
What else? The TIE Defenders are easier to pilot, and cheaper, but only perform well in space.
>>
>>20269716

We really need to loot some resocialization tanks. Or at least see if the Terran Scientists we have on hand already know how to construct them.
>>
>>20269774
The Fire LEO's weren't too great in that battle. I don't know how well the Vic Vipers performed.
Maybe a squadron of Gunstars?
>>
>>20269774

Well, we do have blueprints of any/all Battletech Clan-tech on hand. If the TIE Defender/VF-25s or R-types are too limited or unfamiliar, we could cherry-pick the best of the Clan Aerotech fighters and see if we could program those into the Creation Engine.
>>
>>20269954
We'd need to refit them with shields, though. BTech aerospace fighters are kind of fragile.
>>
>>20269938

Fire LEOs have a huge range of weapons for different opponents and purposes. They have what is basically a rapid-fire homing shot (pretty aimbottish actually).
>>
>>20270005
That's true.
Here's the full list of weapons.
http://shmup.wikia.com/wiki/Fire-Leo_Series#Fire-Leo_2:_Exceliza

But the TIE Defender does have extremely high maneuverability, shields, and an onboard hyperdrive.
>>
>>20270067
>>20270067

Do you think we could outfit or modify the TIE Defender for atmospheric conditions? Or would that require a drastic redesign of the fighter?

At this rate, perhaps the Fire LEOs might be best just because of their versatility.

Also, OP, I got a question about redesigning mechanical units we have on hand. How long would it take to refit something like a Securitron with a Micro Pulse Laser or infantry-scale SRMs?
>>
>>20270182
Too much redesigning of the TIE-D would be required, I think.
Though on the Fire LEO-2, only the Twin Shot and the Back Shot are listed as standard equipment.
Do we know if the Fire LEO's we currently have are equipped with the other power-ups?
>>
And I'm out for the night. My schedule is chaos for the next few days, I'll try Monday or Tuesday for next thread, though.
>>
>>20270289
Understood.
We can continue discussed the pro's and con's of the different starfighters here.
>>
>>20270261
Fire LEOs are good when you abuse Hunter and Wave.
>>
>>20270332
Thing with Fire Leo is that you don't have to be in their sights (forward or backward) to be hit by them if they're using Hunter. There's no blindspots to that weapon except for very strict openings.
>>
>>20270569

So it basically has something like an autoaim bot built into it? Seems like all the pilot would really need to worry about with that is dodging enemy fire or deciding whether to switch to another weapon whenever the need arises. Sounds like it'd be real useful in a situation that calls for heavy evasive action.
>>
>>20271332
Yes. In the games, using hunter means you can focus entirely on dodging.

In the games, wave is like this huge spatial-bypassing super-maser/microwave beam (TF5 and TF6), or it's some kind of scattering/wide shot.

I bet Kane's back at Black Ops command doing this right now.
