Previous two threads:1st - http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/20144621/2nd - http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/20160608/Official site: http://1d4chan.org/wiki/Black_LocksOn this thread:A CLOSE LOOK INTO THE CRIMSON BLADES COMPANY, AS WELL A BIO OF THEIR CAPTAIN, PETER THE BLOODED (as well why Dark Eldar do everything not to get into his proximity). Also:Xeno serfs (aka: Eldar Maids......because it takes a lot of their inhuman grace not to spill the drinks). As everyone knows already about the Black Locks (well, some of /tg/ of course), and you know what is about them. Fearless pirate marines traveling the both explored (very little) and unexplored (to a gargantuan degree) regions of the Calico Stars in search of clues to the Ultimate Treasure and keeping it away from the Emperors enemies, else the Imperium would be DOOMED.As the previous threads fleshed out the elements of the chapter, the following ones will focus on the companies of the Chapter. The first company to have a history of its own is the first one that was created in the very first thread. AND THEIR NAME IS THE CRIMSON BLADES COMPANY.
>>20176298Also nearly forgotten. Aid of drawfags requested (if they have time and if they'd like to do this kind of stuff) at making some pictures and sketches of the Crimson Blades Company.
How did it go with the muzzle loaded bolt rifles?
>>20176379There were flintlocks. I thought about making the flintlocks a separate type of weapons. A one-shot, one-kill weapon capable of killing instantly enemies that would survive a semi automatic from a bolter, or enemies that are really heavily armored. How powerful would such a flintlock be? If the bolter is a weapon that fires miniaturized RPG's, then the flintlock of The Black Locks would be a pistol capable of firing a miniature melta charge that can do horrid damage.
You lot iz proppa orky, sure you'ze boys ain't orks under dat flash arma?
>>20176472Nope, not Orkz, but you greenskin have something we really would like to have......
>>20176490"BRING HER ABOUT! I SMELL LOOT!"
>>20176455Ah, how would the flintlocks work.Because as i see it working they'd have to have two charges, one that is set of by the flintlock mechanism, wich in turn set of the bolt. And one could go with vengance bolts shells.
Now I'll go and try out about the fluff of the Crimson Blades:Of all the companies of the Black Locks marines, none can match the ferocity of the Crimson Blades. Ferocious, bloodthirsty, hotblooded and with a very short/explosive temper, these marines are the chapters assault specialists that excel brutal CQC. Just the rest of the chapter companies, the Crimson Blades differ to some point when it comes to the tactics they employ. The most notable difference in them is that when boarding enemy ships they utilize to a great degree teleport technology while on planet, they make great use of Jump Packs, as well that a large portion of their members can equip Terminator Armors. The catch is that only members with Terminator honors can wear the sacred armors while younger members without said honors can only wear them only if the boarding actions are going to be exceptionally difficult (when the company is on planets, the younger marines switch back to Jump Packs). The Crimson Blades are known very well for their mastery of sword fighting and taking on multiple enemies in combat. The companies marines attack fast and with such fury that a storm shield would be barely a defense against them. Even their Dreadnoughts, inspired by the Furioso Dreadnoughts of the Blood Angels have access to Lightning Claws and Dreadnought sized cutlasses that can cut through Chaos Terminators like a knife through butter.
>>20176506The greenskin have a precious STC. And I heard it's a death-ray of immense power.
>>20176521Indeed but the ammo used by the flintlocks would be different than that used in bolters. One would be a powerful anti-personnel one. The other would be a devastating anti armor one.
>>20176524Psychologically, the marines sometimes border on being psychotic flesh tearing killing machines, yet calm down in the presents of either the more stern members of the company (like their captain or any other senior member), or in front of the one thing that nobody normal would've thought they would, and that's they calm down in the presence of children. Why do they behave like that it is unknown, but rumors have it that these warriors like to tell kids stories of their dauntless adventures when they make visits in the various colony ports. This would also explain why they usually care a lot for civilian populations and why they go berserk when somebody targets said civilians. One such situation occurred when the Marines Malevolent appeared in the Calico System in order to wipe out a Ork uprising on the colony world of Saint Juan. The Crimson Blades were also in the planets vicinity thus they made planet fall in order to fight the Greenskin menace. What they found was utter devastation to the civilian districts and surroundings of the colony caused by the Marines Malevolent Whirlwind barrage. The Blades wanted explanation for this destruction from the commanding staff of the Malevolent as well that they took responsibility for this. Nobody except the Blades senior staff knew what the answer was that the Marines Malevolent commander gave to the companies 1st Mate (who was a calm and collected person), but it was more than enough for him to:1. Rip out the Marines Malevolent commanders bionic arm.2. Beat the commander's face with it.3. Breaking his back the same way Leman Russ did to Magnus after beating his face to a unrecognizable pulp.
I'm surprised this guy or any of his shipmates hasn't been brought up yet. Definitely need to include something about this shit though. Maybe Zolo is a dreadnought?>captcha: formDat Large.Yes, captacha, a dreadnought is extremely large.
>>20176695Hmmmmmmmm.....dunno how the rest of /tg/ would react on this kind of stuff. There may be people on /tg/ that like One Piece, but to include elements of it into the Black Locks fluff? No, it's much more serious than you think.> And it's Zoro.
you struck a special note with me. have a concept. One shot is all you need when its in their face. har har.
>>20176691Continued:When this happened, the rest of the company started also to beat the Marines Malevolent to bloody smears. Even the Inquisitorial troops that were sent as help to the planet tried to calm down the situation before the Marines Malevolent were literally dead. The Crimson Blades, however were so angry that If it wasn't for the arrival of Captain Peter and a squad of their companies Terminators, then the inquisitorial forces would've shared the same fate as the douchebags they just beaten to bloody pulps. Since then the Black Locks earned the scorn from the Marines Malevolent, yet at the same time, they earned the respect of such Chapters like the Salamanders and Space Wolves.
>>20176733I'd have a problem with it, but i'm just one person, and if /tg/ agrees to it then /tg/ agrees to it, though i predict an outcry of "keep you weeaboo out of my 40k"...
>>20176747Make it a little longer, and have the gun barrel be like a Sea Serpents head.
>>20176770I can tell you on the other hand that the Crimson Blades Dreadnoughts can sport two giant cutlasses.
dawfags be as fickle as the sea winds. Now make your own dream happen and figure out how to use MS paint. this took no skill and i use used a pencil thickness, a custom color, and shape tools, then a little free hand with a mouse, and max zoom in for control, with a reference to a "pirate gun".Also if they are rogue traders, they need to kill and steal, or get a Writ for it from a trader.
>>20176770>>20176695Hey, have a crazy commander of a specialized shock troop squad/company who always insists on being at the front of boarding parties. He dual wields chain/power swords and has a chain bayonet attached to his helmet, like a crest. Can't have the head sword stick out to the side cause lolpauldrons.Crunch-wise he can play like a faster, weaker Tyberos the Red Wake.
Damn, that's a lot of new chapters being created recently. We got the Arab/desertmarines, aztecmarines, and piratemarines.
>>20176866They loot and pillage from xenos and heretics (in case of heretics, the loot that is suspiciously looking or demonically possessed if threw out the airlock with a shitload of explosives and detonated there). Some of the loot is also sold in order to gain riches for newer equipment, or stuff normally not available to space marines.
>>20176695Isn't a Zoro... a little too fast for a Dread?
>>20176880I'm thinking about making the Captain of the Crimson Blades become such a close combat monster. The fluff that I'd create will describe him perfectly why......but now I need to make my research papers.
>>20176866Love itThe "LeChuck Pattern Boltgun"
>>20176866Plus you didn't need to make it on the spot. You could've done it when you had the time for it.
>>20177030hey friendly, things you failed to do: not complain, say any form of thanks or indicate any form of appreciation. driving off drawguy, mission accomplished.
>>20176935The entire company should be CC monsters. Blood Angels without the black rage or red thirst essentially.
>>20177090-_-............FUCK. I knew I forgot something. Can blame that on my tight schedule.
>>20176957Speaking of Lechuck, is he and Guybrush around in marine form too?
>>20177107Yup, shame on you and your schedule.
>>20177118Nope. But the name sounds fair.>>20176866Forgot to thanks for the pics. THANKS.>>20177104More like Angry Marines that can behave calmly and then go on A RAAAAAAAAGE-O-PILLAAAAAAAAAGE when they're fighting.
>>20177118They should be! Maybe LeChuck is the name of the Tomb Lord of the Necron ghost ships. And perhaps Brother Guybrush is a veteran scout
>>20177164But the Necrons are Egyptians in Space. Would be actually a nickname given to him by the colonist of the Calico Stars.
>>20177176The Necron Lord Le-Tzuk suffered numerous degrading problems with his mind during his eons of slumber. Upon reawakening the maddened Lord believed himself to be a Necrontyr pirate of millenia long gone. Taking his entire tomb world's force with him upon a vast fleet of ghost-like ships he set sail to plunder the Calico Stars and terrorize the colonists, who came to call him "Le Chuck".
>>20177233Very legit.
And now BTW, who wants to help with creating a bio of Peter the Blooded? The captain of the Crimson Blades. I have some ideas on his origin story, though what would be your take on the story /tg/?
>>20177774I thought about to make his story like this:As a child, he always wanted to become a physician, thus he spend a lot of time studying his fathers books. When he hit the age of ten, his father was accused of a crime he didn't commit. While his father was executed, he was sent off as a slave to work on a mining ship in the asteroid belts. When he was 12, Dark Eldar attacked the ship and done the usual (aka.: taking prisoners for torture, rape and all the other scary things they do). In self defense, he kills three of the raiders, thus knowing for the first time how it is to take another beings life. The Crimson Blades arrive in the nick of time driving off the Dark Eldar and freeing many of the prisoners. They find the young Peter and decide to take him as a crew member. TBC.....
>>20178000After years of training, he earns the right to have his power armor, as well becoming a apothecary in training (since the other apothecaries saw his affinity with medical implements back at the slave ship, they decided to train him). After a decade, Dark Eldar attacked again in stealth, this time trying to get vengeance on the command structure of the Crimson Blades for their intervention back then. The captain and mates get killed while the other marines made planet fall to crush a Chaos Warband. Peter takes command of the survivors and defeat the raiders once more. As for his tactical cunning and courage (as well his lightning fast reaction), he's awarded the title of captain (though the most of the company frowns at his promotion).TBC......
>>20178212The res I myself have to construct well, so any storyfag should take a shot at his bio. At the moment I'm waaay to busy with my research papers at the moment, so good luck.
The LeChuck pattern bolt pistol is, any regular fire fight, a weapon of last resort given its slow as balls reload time when compared the the modified archaic Godwyn pattern traditionally employed by the chapter. The reason all marines carry one is becasue of the Trial of Harrowing where they are left for a year and a day on the blasted surface of Istvaan III. 12 billion ghosts are their company and their only way out is time and hope or to press that weapon to the side of their head and give in.Upon full membership the bolt round is replaced with a different round. The case is cast from silver, engraved with runes and marks of banishing and blessed by the company priests.Exceptionally devastating to the deamonic as well as Enslavers.
The flagship of the Crimson Blades, Red Fall, is a reconsecrated Oberon class battle ship captured in battle from the Traitor Admiral Warded Laaw. The extra space comapred to other standard battle barges is used for more cargo holds and more laboratories. the former is used for storing the loot and the latter for the storing an processing of genetic samples to determine which populations are most capable of providing viable recruits.
>>20178798This is a really good idea. A last resort super weapon against daemons. Only I'd change it into a gun that carries three types of bullets. One of each type. One being a insanely powerful anti-organic bullet that can kill a Carnifex in a instant if shot in the head. A bullet of anti-armor issue that can penetrate Terminator armor and detonate its melta charge. And the third being what you described. Each round can be shot only AND only once. Although the stuff with Istvaan III should be reconsidered again, since probably the Calico Stars are quite far away from them. Maybe among the planets of Calico would be a graveyard planet where horrid tragedies occurred and where the warp influence is strong enough to bring back the spirits of those who died in days past.
>>20179322In these laboratories, the Apothecaries of the company experiment with various chemicals and substances found in both known and recently discovered planets of the Calico Stars. Among the substances the Apothecaries produce are immensely powerful painkillers, as well poultices extracted from roots of exotic plants that greatly speed up the healing of battle brothers that got heavily injured in battle.
>>20179322The recruits are usually children from ages 10 to 12 and usually they come from the more violent stock of the colonies, as well from places that became recently bloody battlefields. The recruit doesn't need to be necessarily of exceptional physical strength, but the Crimson Blades look specifically for recruits with strong will as well as a natural fighting instinct (still all these traits are welcomed very much).
>>20179351How about Ravenholm IV.When ever a brother is asked about that place he simply replies "We don't go there anymore".It was the sight of a bitter and doomed battle against an Enslaver incursion that went critical. Multiple companies were involved and nearly annihilated as they held back the thrall-zombie horde so just one more shuttle of uncorrupted civilians could be lifted off the surface. As the auspex signature of the last brother on the surface winked out.The then captain of the Crimson Blades was the one who called down the Exterminatus becasue the Inquisitor Swan would not."let no joyful voice be heard, let no man look up at the sky with hope, and let this day be cursed by we who called forth EXTERMINATUS!"http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LFYawtPCdfEIn remembrance of their failings all must tread the path of the Broken Oath before they can call themselves brother. The extra laboratories on the Red Fall are also store houses for genetic samples to ensure there is no mass loss of unique genelines as what happened in the burning of RavenholmIV.
>>20179667Now this is awesome. This also shows that the Crimson Blades company, although being hot-blooded and brutal warriors, are actually pretty nice guys, and that they regret deeply what they did. This should be put into their fluff when it's fleshed out.
>>20179667Add to this that when they got there they tried to rescue as many people as possible, yet the Enslavers were causing so many casualties that the marines didn't knew if they'd manage secure the remaining survivors. Hell, even people were dying in their hands and their Apothecaries were powerless. For the first time, the proud Black Locks of the Crimson Blades felt an emptiness that would haunt them and their gene-seed to the very end of existence. That would be also a good explanation for the psychological element of theirs that I've wrote a couple of posts back. Because of them being powerless back then, the company swore that they'd fight as if there was no tomorrow and save as many human lives as possible, so that another Ravenholm IV wouldn't occur ever again (and would literally massacre any enemy/Imperial force that would target civilians).
>>20179991Well..........not exactly massacre, but they would beat Imperial forces like Marines Malevolent to bloody smears and call out the Inquisition and Grey Knights for the stuff they do. If the Blades heard from the Inquisition/Grey Knights stuff like there was a 0.00000000001 % that there were a couple of corrupted people among the population and they had to bombard a area, then the Black Locks wouldn't buy that kind of shit and call the Inquisitors irredeemably lazy bastards that rather than mind-scan the people for corruption, they'd simply pull the trigger because it's less time consuming..
>>20179734They are not 'nice'. Nice is not something that survives over the edge of the star-chart. They might be good. They might seem like knights in tarnished armor with an insane nobility and peculiar morality and indeed they themselves my try to believe this to sleep easier at night, but they are not nice. They slash and they stab and the maim and the kill becasue that is what they are for. They are what they do. To try and get them to be otherwise is to try and reason with the tempest. The reason they seem to care about the common man is becasue they are citizens of their Imperium, their Emperor and their predatory instincts tell them that no one infringes on what is theirs. There are exceptions to this mode of behaviour.
>>20180274Well said..............but there can be a place for calling out the Inquisition on things the Crimson Blades would openly and publicly call it BULLSHIT, as well beating such Imperial forces like the Marines Malevolent to bloody smears for making civilian casualties.> Copyrights belong to the anon that made the pic.
>>20180398That is the human voice present in all Astartes and should always be in contradiction the the engineered predator that they have become. But all know what happens when the human voice is left unchecked, the Damned Company of Captain Jones.
>>20180489In Captain Jones situation, it ended tragically for to poor fellow. Yet in the case of the Blades they do this also so that the past tragedy that they didn't avoid wouldn't ever return to haunt them again. As well even if somebody is a Space Marine this doesn't mean that you have to be a bastard.See the Space Wolves who are like a thorns in the Inquisitions eye (and foot, not to mention the ass), or the Salamanders (who like to chill out with the locals and go berserk if douches like Marines Malevolent ignore civilians around them).I mean that the Crimson Blades would be near unstoppable pirate versions of Angry Marines that are wracked with guilt for something that they failed in the past, but I'd also like to see them, like the rest of the Black Locks, to be capable to talk with normal people like civilized citizens, to be able to calm down and control that great rage of theirs and even tell children that are interested a story or two about their adventures in the unknown. That's how I've envisioned them
OK, time to go to sleep. If anyone has any further ideas when I'm not around, the save this thread on:> http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive.html?showall=1
