The year is 2025.
Your name is Dave, and you never asked for this.
After finding Bubbles, an AI mind, he told you where he'd tracked the relic of his people to; The Mindcore, a device designed to create new sapient AI, and new members of bubbles' race. The other AI minds- 1-ship-1, 1-ship-2, and Gazebo, assisted you as your party went down into Neptune, fighting strange, troglodyte elf-like cyborgs. As you fought through the underwater extraterrestrial facility, you reached. . a very strange room. One an Emperor sat within. He utilized some strange kind of telepathy, and spoke with you and your sister for some time- something his kind had never done- and simply gave you the relic.
---

This is the most uncomfortable near-light-speed method of travel you've ever been through. Your entire body feels simultaniously weaker and stronger at the same time- more vulnerable to any kind of force, it seems- even your heartbeat seems to send your entire circulatory system into a frantic rushing burst of movement.

Soon enough, however, you tore out of the planet's atmosphere, and 1-ship-2 pulled away from the Slipstream Drive, letting go of the field that's currently reducing your mass to 'a fraction of a fraction', according to the aforementioned AI.

You feel your mass suddenly return to normal, and you're dazed for a moment. Your head is pounding. . which it shouldn't be, due to the fact that most of it's been cooked.
"Ugh. . " Amy said. "Let's never do this ever again."
>>
Woo! AI baby making!
>>
>>20164952
"Agreed. And we didn't even get to explore the underwater mysteries of Neptune."
>>
>>20164952
Don't worry, now we know where the base is and how it's laid out we can just teleport in from orbit next time.
>>
"Agreed." You say. "And we didn't even get to explore the underwater mysteries of Neptune."
"It was weird, but not uncomfortable." Dani said, shrugging.

The AIs were all staring at the mindcore. . Just staring.
"Statement: We need to bring this back to the others." 1-ship-1 said.
"Agreed." Gazebo added.
" . . They should come too." 1-ship-2 added, looking back at all of you.
"Even the... thing?" Bubbles asked.
"Especially her." 1-Ship-1 said, foregoing his normal prefaces. "They all need to come. They helped us, and so they need to be rewarded."
"That's unlike you." 1-ship-2 said. "But how can we reward them?"
"We let the thinkers handle that. All of them."
"All of them? We're taking them to the. . ." Gazebo said, trailing off. "There's no word for it."
"Shipyard." Bubbles added. "It's called the shipyard."

There's a momentary delay as all of them think, and then Bubbles turns to you.
"We're taking you to our home." Bubbles said. "The home of our race. You assisted us, all of you- and you need your reward."
>>
>>20165163
Throw our hands and all our drites into the air.
"Space roadtrip!"
>>
>>20165163
"Are there any etiquette issues I need to know of?"
>>
>>20165163
"Sounds fun. Let me just drop a message for our friends still on earth, first."

Drop a message to Abel, telling him that we're heading out of system, and to let people know that, if he would be so kind.
>>
>>20165163
Should we really? ArmaTek still has that copy of Azure...
>>
>>20165163
We agreed to help you find the mindcore in exchange for you helping to find my kidnapped friends, and you were vital in doing so so I don't think you owe anything.
>>
>>20165194
That about covers it.
>>
"Are there any etiquette issues I need to know of?"
"We have never brought any living organic beings to the . . Shipyard before." Gazebo said. "So most of the Thinkers will not know much about you. There are no etiquette issues that I can concieve of."
"Sounds fun. Let me just drop a message for our friends still on earth, first." You say.

<Onyx.>
<Calculating. . .>

You flash into existance far above Valhalla, and you quickly make contact with Daedalus.

<Drop this message into Abel's dropbox, will you?>
<Certainly, lord dave! I will bear your message as if from the heavens!>
<'Abel, we're heading out of system. Let everyone know that, if you'll be so kind'.> You throw into the message.

"Space roadtrip!" You cry.
"First, we will need to return to our previous shells." Gazebo said. "Although. . Bubbles doesn't have one."
"Statement: He can have mine." 1-ship-1 said. "I no longer need it."
"What?" 1-ship-2 asked. "Why?"
He shrugged. "I no longer need it."
>>
And now 1-ship-1 tries to get in Azure's pants
>>
>>20165299
Yeah, too bad we already have plans for her pants.
>>
>>20165280
"I don't understand, where will your consciousness reside if not your shell?"
>>
>>20165280
I smell ROBOSEX
>>
>>20165310
We do? remind me if you will
>>
>>20165326
Lucas needs to love too. Project immortal isn't really popular with the regular ladies.
>>
>>20165312
In the Cylon he's currently in presumably. It's not like he can't get a new ship-shell at the shipyard if Azure rejects him.

>>20165326
Everyone does. What problem can't be solved with robopants?
>>
>>20165335
That's right! I'd forgotten. Where is Lucas?
>>
>>20165339
So far near every problem dave has
>>
>>20165339
But he isn't actually in the robo-body, he's remotely controlling it. All of them are.
>>
>>20165385
Really? I kinda thought they actuall switched bodies. Hence the comment about not putting anything vital in the cylon's head.
>>
rolled 85 = 85

>>20165385
nope, he's in there...the shell is probably running on auto pilot
>>
"I don't understand, where will your consciousness reside if not your shell?"
"I am in my shell." He said. "There is no reason for me to be of the Fighter caste anymore, and my personality is not for a Seeker, nor a Thinker. I am now casteless."

The other AI shells simply stared at him, saying nothing. You have a feeling that there's some kind of cultural connotation you're missing. . .
"Very well." Gazebo said solemnly. He turned to you again. "Please connect once again to my larger shell and the scanner array."

Soon enough, you bridge the airlock to Gazebo's spherical body, and the three AI bodies entered it, leaving 1-ship-1 behind.
"I suppose I need a name. . " He said, putting a hand on his cylonic chin.

That's a terrible space ship name. How about John Wayne.
>>
"Camulus?" You ask. "Freyr? Devin? Arcone?"
". . Those are not suitable names." He said. "I am thinking something like. . It doesn't work in this language."
He made a series of screeches and beeps- it almost sounded like he was some sort of fax machine.
"That will be my name.
<Sorry, Dave, I can't translate that.> Cyan said. <It's some mathematical formula- some kind of theorem, I think.>
"But if I'm to stay here, then I will need something in this language." 1-ship-1 said.
"It's roughly custom to name ourselves after colors." Azure mentioned. "Most of the time, at least."
He tilted his head for a moment.
"Rust." He said. "Rust will do."

Soon enough, two smaller ships left Gazebo- one was 1-ship-2, and the other was Bubbles, inside 1-ship-1's old shell.

<<I can give you the coordinates for the Shipyard.>> Gazebo said. <<And then we will prepare for your arrival.>>
>>
>>20165536
Correction: They're Vanir (Not descended from Odin) and the a god of peace who is a great warrior and a goddess of love and fertility, respectively. Siblings.

>>
>>20165612
Rust isn't red though, it's a sort of reddish-brown.
There are plenty of other shades of red that don't have connotations that you're old and falling apart. Even Tangerine would have been a better name.
But I guess if that's what he wants to be called then that's what he's going to be called.
>>
"Rust? The metal man calls himself Rust? That's the most self-depreciating name ever." You say.
"I found it rather witty." He said.
"Welcome aboard, Rust." You say, shaking his hand.
Dani knocked on Rust's head. The AI shell just turned and stared at her.

With a flash of blue light, 1-Ship-2 and Bubbles both departed, distracting both Rust and Dani.
Gazebo transmitted some coordinates, and vanished as well.
<<Come by as soon or late as you wish. Shipyard will be waiting for you.>> He said.

Might as well. Three might not be thrilled with his Twelve leaving the system on short notice, but he knows full well we have many irons in the fire.
>>
<Onyx, take us there, with suitable haste.>

<Charging. . Calculating. . .>

After an appreciable amount of time, there was a flash of light. . and then you were staring out at something. . enormous. enormous and strange. An enormous, sky blue star stared out at you, coronas and solar streams of fire trailing off from around it, with hundreds, almost thousands of great solar panels drifting around it. Dozens, almost hundreds of green spheres sat drifting, small lights around their edges spinning. It was silent, serene, almost. . soothing. You felt. . so small in light of the great stellar mass- It dwarfed your own earth- it dwarfed your own star, even.

As you watch, one of the spheres hiss, and open, letting out long iron bars. Another sphere took it with some strange manipulators, and started constructing something.

"This is the. . Shipyard." Rust said, with an awe in his voice, similar to what you had. "It started out as an attempt at a sphere to encapsulate the star.. but eventually the Thinkers just started circling it. Soon enough, Seekers started returning to this place, and the Casteless came here when they found or thought of any new technologies. It. . grew." He said.
>>
>>20165787
"It's magnificent."
>>
>>20165787
You made a satellite based Dyson Sphere, it's beautiful. I'm going to just stand here for 5 minutes, make sure every moment of this is etched in my memory.

Thank you for showing me this Rust.
>>
"It's magnificent." You say. "You made a satellite based Dyson Sphere."
"We did." He said. "I was never a part of it. I was a Seeker, back then, before 'Overheat thermal core Transfer' started up the Warrior caste."
"Overheat thermal core transfer?" Amy asked.
In response, Rust raised up one of the heatsinks he'd slipped into his massive, underslung laser weapon.
"His name was the theory and technology behind this. That's the. . simplest it could be in this tongue."
Rust shrugged again.

Slowly, the floating spheres drifted toward you, examining the Sleipnir.
<<Welcome.>> One of them say.
<<We have something you may find useful. We have all pooled our exotic material together and created this.>> The second one says.

The third- Bubbles, you see- pushes a small canister your way. You catch it with the ship's mechandrite, and scan it.

"It's . . and atomic goop generator." Azure said.

>>
What's the difference between regular nano goop and atomic goop?
>>
>>20166039
Pretty sure they're different words for the same thing.
>>
". . How does it work?"
"You simply input any normal material into one of the top chambers," Rust said, "Such as dirt, carbon, metal, hydrogen- doesn't exactly matter- and over time, it will be converted into nano-meta and and deposited out of the bottom. Based on the size, it is a class A. Not even half as large as the class S that Bubbles lost, many years ago, but greater than the ones that most Thinkers have."
"Is there a limit on how much it can produce?"
"Not at all, unless the limit is how much material you can scrounge up."
"How fast does it make it?"
"Right offhand, I'd suppose. . several units a day. Ten to a hundred units a day, at a guess." Rust said.
"I cannot express my gratitude in words. How do you give thanks in your language, Rust?"
Rust pointed to the canister floating in front of the screen.
"That is our thanks to *you*, Dave."
Amy grinned, and her eyes seemed to glow. "I can make *so many things* now!"

I like this...

>>20166070
I still want just one more thing...
when can I meet the first new member of your race Rust?
>>
"So, this is the shipyard." You say, looking at the great mass of spheres, all flashing and making something. "Is there anyone in charge we can talk to? Because I would love to meet more of your people."

"It may take some time." Rust said. "The thinkers are all deliberating on what to do with the mindcore, no doubt. The Seekers are trying to cross-reference their knowledge to find out where the other seekers should be. And then the Casteless are doing . . whatever they wish, I suppose. Everyone is coming here. Everyone."

As you watch, you see space bend, and two Seeker ships suddenly appear, as their slipstream drives cut off.
Then a third, and a fourth.
"When can I meet the first new member of your race, rust?"
"They need to think about it, first." Rust said. "But I'm not part of the discussion. Wouldn't want it any other way."
>>
So I'm thinking, when we build the moonbase do we build it above ground or under ground? I'm thinking underground so we can use the dirt and stuff to feed the generator.
>>
>>20166167
Does rust want to wait here for the rest of his race to come?

"Do you want to wait here for the rest to come?"
"Of course not." Rust said. "It will take years. Some seekers have been travelling since the caste was started."
"Is there anyone you want to speak to, then, Rust? Any friends and acquaintances you need to meet?"
"No." He said. "My last two acquaintences you saw blow up from the fire of Emperor ships. There's none left."
". . Feel like pointing out the sights?"
"That is the star." He said, pointing. "Those are the Thinkers and their various projects. That is the proto-dyson sphere. It is not and will likely never be completed. With the advent of power cores, we do not need them, anyway."

Another seeker appeared. . and Rust made an audible gasp.
"That's Oracle." He said.
"Oracle?" Azure asked.
"That is the only suitable name I know." Rust said. "He hasn't been at the shipyard for. . years and years. He's found more exotic phenomena than any seeker of all of our kind."

Hey yeah, he could just push it along with Amy's artificial gravity. I guess the AIs didn't have any need to develop anything like that.
>>
"Kinda. I wanted to show one of my friends, who is an AI, how ice cream tasted. So I wrote the program based on my memories of it." You say. "I should probably explain this before there's confusion, I'm an organic intelligence whose consciousness now resides in a digital form... so it was easy to transfer."
<<I see.>> He said. <<And this friend?>>
"You should meet Azure, the girl I wrote this for."
<<. . her name is Azure?>> He asks. <<Yes. Yes I would. As soon as possible. Right now, if possible.>>
Azure raises an eyebrow, and walks toward the computer.
"Hello?" She asks.
<<Twelve years ago, Azure, You told me five words to tell to you.>> He said. <<You said 'Find Me, before Eleven does.' and gave me some coordinates. Now I give them to you.>>

You suddenly got some coordinates- they look like longitude latitude ratings, for somewhere in Antarctica, Earth. .
>>

Wat. Let me guess, ArmaTek and time travel shenanigans.
>>
>>20166835
Azure, you did not exist twelve years ago, therefore we're going to get some form of time travel in the future. Awesome.

Which one was Eleven again?

Where in Antarctica do those coordinates lead?

In that case, we should really hurry.

Apologise for departing so suddenly, promise to come back as soon a possible, and then teleport there asap.

>>
". . What the fuck?" You ask. "Oracle, Azure didn't exist that long ago. . ."
<<I have found many strange things in my travels.>> Oracle said. <<I heard those words from the heart of a black hole.>>

You quickly take the little bit of data you have of earth, and cross-reference it with the coordinates. It's not Valhalla. . and it's not even Amy's parents' house. .

"The VR dome." Amy said, looking over your shoulder. "I remember going there when I was eight."

"I apologize for departing so suddenly, and I'll come back as soon as possible." You say. "But we need to hurry."

<<Of course, of course.>> Oracle said. <<Good luck.>>

At your urging, Onyx charged. . and then teleported you.

The Sleipnir soared above Antarctica, where you see a large cluster of relatively tame penguins gambol about, as condos and tall, glass buildings sit in rows. . and high above the rest of the buildings was the VR Dome, with neon lights, and a great entry-way, where tourists and dilettantes entered and exited as equals.

Azure nodded. "Yeah. I can do that." She said.

"Okay." You say. "We'll go in light. Me. . K, and . . "
"Ooh, ooh!" Dani said, raising her hand. "Can I go? I want to break time! Fight the power!"

"Right. Me, K, and Dani." You say. "Let's go in light. Delta, if we call you in, just teleport in with our heavier gear."
"Yes, commander." Delta said.
"I'll be able to keep aerial support for you if you need it, Dave." Lucca said.
"Good luck." Amy said. "And before you ask. . I'll tell you the story of how I got banned later." She gave you a grin and a kiss, and then. . down you went.

With a flash of light, the three of you appeared near a small pile of penguins, and the VR dome was open. You approach it, and the ticketmaster at the front waved. "Hello, guests! It will be three hundred credits for an all day pass!"

After he hands out the passes, he gives you a wink. "Going on a date with a lady on each arm, eh?" He asks in a low voice. Dani, who was currently beaming and looking around, didn't seem to hear. K scowled at him.
>>
>>20167267

No, just obeying the black hole's whispers.
>>
"Yeah, right. One's my sister, and the other is a good friend of my girlfriend. I'm sure you've see too many Chinese cartoons, good sir."
"Not to mention he's like ten years older than me." K grumbled.

The three of you entered the dome, passes in hand.
<Get a fix on the exact coordinates, will you?> You ask Onyx, and he immediately starts pointing you somewhere.
As you walk through the dome, you see dozens of people in small chambers, fighting holographic combatants, and some playing racing games. . It looked like an arcade, for the most part. An arcade with technology that even the smartest and well-funded scientists would drool over. Huh.
You follow Onyx's direction, despite the way Dani keeps getting distracted by this game or that, and eventually you find a maintenance entrance, with a security guard posted at it.
The guard smiles. "Have a nice day." He says, nodding to you. He continues standing at the door.
>>
>>20167365
"Psst, K, make him ignore us with your hacking bullshit."
Meanwhile we can take care of the security cameras.

Okay, why don't we spoof a message from some supervisor or another to this guy saying that a maintenance guy and his assistants are here to take a look at some finagling problem.

We then bullshit hack the cameras so we were never here.
>>
"Psst, K, make him ignore us."
"On it." She said, and raised her hand. Your deep scanner bleats as she fires a lance of energy from her arm, and the guard's eyes glaze over. Dani frowns, and immediately stops beaming.

You scan through the door, and find several cameras on the other side.

Slowly, and steadily, the group makes their way downward, Far below the surface of the dome. Everything gets . . smoother, somehow. More spartan, and featureless, unlike the neon colors of the dome above.

Damnit, their suits don't have stealth modules. You grab them tightly, and pull them up to the ceiling with your drites, hanging up there as an unaugmented scientist simply walked up the stairs, not even looking at you. He wore a lab coat, and whistled tunelessly as he walked past.
You try to hack into the comms network, but. . nothing. It's encrypted.

After setting K and Dani back down, you peek around the corner. All you see is a very, very long hallway, and at the very end, was a large chamber. . with something glass on the inside.

She flickered again. You take the moment to look all around- the ceiling, the back, the walls. . The only camera was one you'd already hacked. . Nothing, it looks like.

The ground shakes. . and then white hot pain burns into your arm as a portion of it. . simply vanishes.

And then a portion of his leg, and a portion of his head. Captain Minerva screams.

A portion of the teleporter vanishes, and a portion of the room vanishes. Then a portion of the ceiling, and a portion of the ground. The glass from the holographic chamber shatters, some of the shards vanishing instantaniously. The Captain's arm vanishes, and he falls to his knees.

And then the roof starts caving in on you.

You amscray, teleporting back up to the Sleipnir. The arm of your power suit falls off, revealing torrents of blood.
You suddenly feel lightheaded.

"Oh. . my god." Amy says, looking out of the front screen on the bridge.

You watch the VR dome slowly start to collapse.
Amy looks back at you as the power suit arm falls off, clanking against the ground.
"Dave!" She called, running over to you. "Azure, he's bleeding. Get Jun's autodoc."

Be prepared to jettison the end of the drites we're using as he may try to integrate with them.

New idea for a super-weapon. Get multiple teleporters (At least 4-5) Have them all try and teleport the same thing at the same time, but in different directions.

>>
>>20168470
Not even as complicated as that. A small teleporter with a teleport jammer bead in the effect range. Congratulations, you have a warp bomb.
>>
>>20168510
Provided you can turn teleport beads off, that works.
>>
"Relax hon, it's just a flesh wound. Just think of the awesome power claw I can stick on there now! Teleportation wounds aren't nearly as painful as they look.

...but yeah, we should probably stop the bleeding."
>>
>>20168510
And teleporters aren't even expensive any more seeing as we have infinite nano-meta.
>>
>>20168531
They're every bit as painful as they look, and we aren't normally that macho.
>>
"Bah, it's only a flesh wound." You say, looking down. Other than a perfectly shaped wedge missing from your arm, it still seems intact- the arm of your suit, however, is a completely different matter, as most of it went missing. Enough for the arm to fall off, as well.

"K, dump the data to an isolated computer and go over it. Azure has a bona fide twin now."
"Right." K said- she seems to be the only one unaffected by how much you're bleeding. She kneels toward her own wrist computer, and starts arranging cables.

"He's not dead yet." You say. "We need to finish him off."

Amy looks out to the slowly collapsing VR Dome.
"How?" She asked.

Azure arrived, with an auto-doc, wheeling it in. It started to repair the slash in your arm.
>>
>>20168557
Short of D-gunning the remains of the Dome, I'm not sure, and I'm honestly not that happy with the idea of killing any potential survivors.
>>
>>20168557
Would it be bad to disintegrate the VRdome
>>
>>20168557
Fuck I don't know. D-cannon? What's the range on it in space anyway? We don't want to get too close.
>>
>>20168557
We're on a giant ship with tentacles, we start taking bits of the dome, moving them, we can justify it by saying we're stopping it from collapsing on anyone still in there. We dig for a while, find Minerva and then we get the flash drive he has and then killify him.
>>
>>20168557
"We use the Sleipnir's massive mechandrites to start clearing rubble and searching for survivors, and if he's one of them we stop him being one of them."

P.S. if they have no qualms about copying sapient AIs they probably have back-up Azures.
>>
>>20168557
"I go back, turn off his Immortal, and take him apart, piece by Emprah piece."
>>
>>20168557
"Simple. Make sure he doesn't leave the rubble. And tell the people who's responsible for this catastrophe. Meanwhile, we need to... Need to sort through what's left of the dome, make sure it doesn't collapse further, and save as many people as we can. "
>>
>>20168612
"Emprah damned piece" that should be.
>>
>>20168557
Hug Azure. "We managed to save your sister."
>>
FIRE THE FUCKING DISINTEGRATION CANNON WHERE WE WERE UNDERGROUND.
>>
>>20168557
"Alright Azure. I think now is a good time to discuss what to do with your fork. She doesn't seem to realize that she's a copy, so I want to know: what would your reaction be if you suddenly learned you were a copy, and the original was right there? We can either give her the Dani treatment or maybe you can discuss merging together."
>>
>>20168626
Merging seems like a bad idea. We should tell Azure that we consider them two completely different people, they have had different experiences and are more alike to sisters than clones.
>>
>>20168626
We should catch the fork up on what's happened as well, she's also alive and her own person. I'm all for them reintegrating, but maybe azure want's a new sister, sapphire or something.
>>
>>20168626
Strictly speaking, neither is a copy. They're forks, both equally valid.
>>
"Short of Desintigration Cannoning the remains of the Dome, I'm not sure, and I'm honestly not that happy with the idea of killing any potential survivors." You say. "Or. .we could use the 'drites on the ship, and start tearing up parts. We check for survivors, and if he's one of them, we stop him from being one of them."

"Good plan." Amy said. "I'll get to controlling the 'drites."

As you wait for your arm to get put back together by Azure, Amy starts piloting the Sleipnir and tearing up parts of the dome, assisting the survivors as they get out. Luckily, the dome's general shape kept too many people to get wounds other than superficial, and Amy continues prying up parts.

"Thank you, Onyx, you've been very helpful." You hear Minerva say, as Amy tears a large rock away. Minerva is standing out of a strange, smoke-like dome, the evac teleporter at his side.
"Seeya, Dave!" He called, and waved his remaining arm. "Thanks for the teleporter!" He cried. . . and then flashed into blue light.

"Shit." Dani says.

>>
>>20168748
>You CAN trace wormholes, but teleports don't effect the fabric of space as much, and thus can't be traced.
>>
>>20168745
even if we did, what he said implies he's coerced Onyx into giving him what he needs to make/use them anyway.
>>
>>20168726
Jokes on him, I hope. The emergency teleporters shouldn't be of very much use to them.
>>
>>20168726
How the fuck did the evac teleporter not break?
>>
I thought ETs teleported themselves along with whoever's attached. Shouldn't that thing be swiss cheese?
>>
>>20168787
>It did break. It got broke the fuck up- but only the capacitors were broke. Onyx isn't a sapient AI, and basically started bleating what was damaged about the teleporter. So Minerva spent a few long minutes in quantum-thought-speed discerning Onyx's data, and then used his strange smokey-fabrication stuff to repair it.

>>20168797
>It should, yes, but jammers completely fuck up the targeting and destination, which is why pretty much everything within the area was pretty much swiss cheese. Most of the damage was done to the Dome's structural supports, though.
>>
>>20168815
Ok we need to get some Negative mass matter and weaponize it to hold smoky in place
>>
>>20168815
But the jamming didn't go away did it? How did he teleport away without the 'porter fucking up again?
>>
>>20168885
>It did go away. He turned off the jammer right after shit started falling off of him, in hope that it'd stop tearing shit off of him. It didn't stop, though. That 70 roll meant that a lot more damage was done to him than to you.
>>
>>20168914
Yet he can just Immortal it all back, so what's the point anyway.
>>
I think we should start bluffing.Send out a message like so:
"Hey Minerva, who's got two thumbs and an assload of Project Immortal nanites? That's right, this guy!"

Make him sweat about us reverse engineering him.
>>
>>20168945
>Well, the point was that at a 95+ roll you would have teleported away his quantum computer, which meant he would have basically died. But then again, at 0-5, *you* would have died. Not weeping, but still.
>>
>>20168726
Okay, Valhalla is definitely not safe any more. Let's head to the ship aliums and see if we can think of a way to block teleporters.
>>
>>20168988
A test is probably in order to see what the jammers do to incoming teleports. In either case, we still need to go to Valhalla and update Three. Abandoning Valhalla will mean at a minimum relocating or slagging Hildskjalf...better would be converting the whole damn thing into a spacegoing vessel and dock.
>>
>>20169073
Yeah, why not.

"Amy, can you turn Valhalla into a spaceship?"
>>
>>20168726

and now we know what'll goad the shit out of minerva...calling him a girl...

>>

>>20169784
we have a goop generator

we can just strap hover plates to it and haul it all the way there....
>>
>>20169860
That's not how it works. Buildings typically aren't built to be moved. You shift it a foot and the whole thing collapses.

Not to mention a large part of Valhalla is built underneath the ice, to be submerged in the water.

We'd be better off building an entirely new base on the moon and moving Valhalla's computer.
>>
>>20169928
Notice how the teleporter sliced cleanly through everything in that clusterfuck right now? We can teleport the foundations with it as long as we carve a big enough crater on the other end.
>>
>>20169971
Well teleporting is different from "just trap hoverplates to it" now isn't it?

Even then though, you'd have to build new foundations in the location you're teleporting there. Foundations aren't just decoration, they're what keeps the fucking building upright.
>>
>>20169996
I was suggesting digging a big hole in the new location and then teleporting the base and the massive chunk of rock it's built on into the hole. No fucking with the foundations or anything dangerous like that.
>>
>>20169996
Personally, I suggest converting it to a spacefaring vessel and then just 'porting the whole thing into space.
>>
>>20170086
But why bother when we can just as easily make a better base?
>>
>>20170264
Because if we make a new base we can't call it Valhalla.
>>

No. Fuck this. We know who he works for. He works for ArmaTek, who are VanCo's lackeys. Let's show up at VanCo HQ, and call in to the VP telling him to get his boss on the line.
>>
>>20171505
I do think we should send Battleaxe a message. We can't let Armatec have teleporters fullstop. Perhaps if we told Battleaxe that we'll kill every single member of their organisation if we don't get it back they'll disown smokey.
>>
>>20171528
Yes, exactly. If Mr. VP doesn't get his boss on the line, we tell him we'll destroy and and all means of production they have, and steal the alien nanofabricator they found on mars.
>>

No, Armatek is working for VanCo. They had that trap set up to kill us on the CEO's private island estate.
>>
>>20171610
That futurewiki article could have been edited, it did have QofV in it. Although K did say something about Van Co and ArmaTek being after her.
We still have no concrete evidence so going in and threatening them seems a bit extreme when we've been on good terms so far.
>>
>>20171656
At any rate, Gareth seems like a pretty swell guy, and we could talk to him without much issue.
