http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/19741278/After defeating Tassadar, negotiations have begun over how to restore the Overmind to the Head of the Swarm. Kerrigan's objections were addressed when we increased her psionic powers to the point that the Overmind will be unable to dominate her mind. However, Khas outright refuses to allow us to use the crystal at Zhakul to revive Father. For the moment, we are stuck. On the other claw, we managed to talk Khas into letting us drag Zerg World away from Aiur! We have placed it in orbit over Moria, where it is being transformed into the most exciting theme park in the universe, and we plan to drag it back and forth between Moria and Tarsonis regularly, so that everybody can enjoy it. Artisanlord is hard at work crafting rides and attractions (and composing a horrible jingle for the It's A Small Swarm After All ride).
>>19797089How goes our re-armament efforts? Also, how much of the galaxy is actually mapped? We should begin putting together an extra-galactic colonization force to check out the Andromeda Galaxy for colonization.
I propose that we drop some drones in hibernation-cysts to the deeper shafts in Moria's complexes. The mining magnates of the Morian Combine will be in for a surprise when they dig too greedily - and too deep.
>>19797089I say we bake some pies, and build battlecrusiers with carrier beams instead of yamato cannons. Wait! Better idea. Orbital platforms, since Kerri's was mobile in BW ours should be too. So we build a bunch of those, cover them in cloakiing fields, and warp them all to Zhakul. It's so simple... why did we never build any? Oh right, ZergWorld was a cooler idea. But now it's orbital platform/barges all the way.
>>19797185Why would we do that to our client state? Which is paying us tribute?
>>19797146We are at approximately 2/3 of the troop strength we had before the final battle with Tassadar.Travel to the Andromeda Galaxy by conventional warp travel will take a prohibitively long time. Should we appropriate a heighliner for this?
>>19797215I'd prefer to finish exploring the galaxy we're in now. Especially since we know where all the planets are, and just need to know it there's anything interesting on them. Xel'Naga cartography is handy like that.
>>19797215>Should we appropriate a heighliner for this?Yes.We have two main focuses for the Swarm in the near future: Exploration and Re-Armament.Exploration is two-fold: seek out a crystal formation which will allow us to revive the Overmind, and to explore the universe for other threats to the Children of the Xel'Naga.
>>19797257And yes, I agree with TUCAMP we need to finish exploring this galaxy. Just send a single Heighliner to Andromeda with a colonization task force to begin scouting the new galaxy. Andromeda is not a priority yet.
I only have one Question. How the fuck is Accountabrate handling this, I imagine that he is either having a nervous breakdown, or he is as giddy as a school-girl at the prospect of the revenue ZERG WORLD will generate as a theme park.
>>19797272You should also agree to start building orbital platforms, like Tarsonis used to have. Even if only to defend Xenta, Yoshous, and Dagoba. I'm pretty sure they can be used offensively, or an elaborate trap.
>>19797373...Let's make a Dyson Sphere to explore the cosmos with, spreading our Creep of Love.
>>19797373>You should also agree to start building orbital platforms,What?! The work on orbital defense platforms around Xenta, Yoshus, Dagobah, and our Beta Site hasn't started yet? That was supposed to be started when Tassadar went rogue. Also, we need a defense platform around Nuke World as well.
>>19797420I don't remember a definitive statement saying we started. Regardless I want to toss in some ones designed to be used offensively. So we can... warp them into orbit around Aiur and blot out the sun before raining death upon the 'brave' sons of Aiur..
>>19797367As with any investment, Accountantbrate is currently Schrodinger's cerebrate, both freaking out and satisfied at the same time until it pays off or flops.>>19797373Yoshus already has two orbital platforms, though they are both used for ship assembly. Xenta already has two under construction.
>>19797582At least one defense platform needs to be built at Yoshus, then. Shipyards are NOT defense platforms. We will need defenses at Nuke World and Dagobah. What is the status of repairs on Cyberbrate's transmitter arrays?
>>19797648Nuke World is currently shipping its last missiles away, and will be empty afterward. Are we defending an empty planet? The Southern array is completely repaired, with the Northern at around 50%.
>>19797754Oh, that's right, we're abandoning Nuke World. I thought that with Tassadar defeated, that we would be resecuring it.Has another Nuke World candidate been found?
>>19797754No, which is why I omitted it from my list of planets. But I suppose we should also defend... it's either Antiga or Tyradoor, which ever one we put the main ZergTV broadcast array on. At this point we could build a better array, with hookups and black-boxes.
>>19797821We can move the missiles back. Nothing's stopping us. Or, we could centralize our nuclear arsenal on another world. That's also an option.>>19797828Tyrador. Antiga is still a mutilated, uninhabitable lump of rock.
>>19797892Mutilated you say, I think it's Artisamlord's next project.
>>19797892Okay. Are there still minerals and gas enough in Nuke World to make it worth keeping, or should a different planet be found and Nuke World's remaining mineral and gas reserves turned over to Accountanbrate??
>>19797989You're not saying we should interrupt its work on Zerg World, are you? It's trying to work out how to make an Epcot-like hypercube.
>>19797996Nuke World has been tapped out for some time. Toaster has been using it as a planetary missile silo, while mining the rest of the planets and moons in the system to build more nukes.
>>19798007Notice how I said 'next.' The implication being that he plays with it after he's finished making what I hope isn't a theme park based on the crappy Cube 2:Hypercube.
>>19798064We have more nukes than there are human beings don't we?
>>19798064Find a candidate system, then. We've already moved most of the nukes, may as well finish the job.
Have we tried making railguns using a regenerative organ yet?
>>19798082All humans? No, definitely not. Uninfested only? Pretty sure no again, since Moria and what's left of Tarsonis is at least a couple billion.
>>19798204Since this is the first I've heard of this idea I'd say no, we haven't. Not sure why we would, but that's not our problem, Let Labrate and Nargil figure it out!
>>19798068No, a real hypercube. I'd attach a gif, but it's too much for 4chan.>>19798082Nope. Our production has been slowed as we've redirected funds into general replenishment of troops and special projects (including the heighliners), and we've been helping the Terrans breed quite a lot, recently.
>>19798204But why would we, when we already have the gausslisks?
>>19798272>Helping the Terrans breedOk. Take organ A and insert it into organ B. How the hell have your species not gone extinct by now, I do not understand.
>>19798288The Terrans we let live are the product of generations of inbreeding by criminals and other undesirables that the UED kicked out.
>>19798361Oh yeah. Only people we let live are space-rednecks. . . Maybe we should make some Elvis-themed educational sex-tapes for them?
>>19798288The species was almost completely depopulated. We've got in vitro labs open to keep the genepool varied. In fact, once this first generation of Zerg-bred Terrans grow up, the Terran genepool in the Koprulu Sector will have more variation than...well, ever.
>>19798406Okay, so, items to work on:Find new system for Nuke World 2.0.Begin constructing more defenses around Yoshus, Dagobah, and Tyrador (Xenta defenses already underway).Send a heighliner with a colonization force to the Andromeda Galaxy.Use heighliners to finish mapping the rest of the Milky Way Galaxy, and attempt to find another crystal formation that will let us revive the Overmind.Buid up our armed forces to pre-Tassadar levels.Complete the new Zerg World Theme Park.
>>19798549>Buid up our armed forces to pre-Tassadar levels.Correction, it's to greater than, much much greater than pre-Tassadar levels. Since I assume Khas is nearly as good a tactician as Tassadar, so we need to out number their capital ships by... I'll say 10:1.
>>19798667Make it 50 to 1.
>>19798675
>>19798549Accountantbrate demands that we focus our interests on fewer goals.>>19798675>>19798667Accountantbrate is seething.
>>19798667>>19798675But why? We're not planning on going to war with them any time soon, remember? The whole 'spitting on Tassadar's grave' bullshit?
>>19798752Accountantbrate can shut the fuck up.10:1 would be good against any NORMAL opponent, Khas is not a normal opponent, he is a Hero of the Protoss and a Tactician with no-one we can actually compare him to.50:1 is a better odds in our favor, because we are WOEFULLY INCOMPETENT when it comes to Warfare that isn't Swarm tactics.
>>19798752Tell him not to worry. He'll have a whole new galaxy to infest and strip mine soon.
>>19798802Khas is just a single Protoss, a Very important and influential Protoss yes, a leader of his people yes, but still just a single Protoss. There will always be some dickbag in every race, Tassadar was only the first Dickbag the Protoss have to mobilize for war. Also for security, because as >>19798804 said, we are actually kinda incompetent when it comes to space-faring combat.
Oh, and since we finally have time, I want to create a cerebrate to search for new strains of DNA to add to the swarm.
>>19798752Accountbrate, you should talk to Labrate about mining black holes. I don't know how you'd do it, but I'm sure the stuff in there will be valuable.
>>19798849But..we already have Nargil.
>>19798868Oh yeah. Forgot about him.Nargil, go out and search for new strains for the swarm. We need new breeds!
>>19798752Tell Accountantbrate that we are currently in a time of peace and can afford to do many projects, especially once the mapping of the rest of the galaxy is complete and we can begin stripping more planets for resources.
>>19798885It contends that sending all our heighliners out, building on a wartime footing, expanding our borders, building amusement parks, and exploring other galaxies carry high costs.
>>19798954Oh very well. Downgrade the rate at which our military is reinforced (we would need to do that to not raise the suspicions of the Protoss) until additional revenue streams are stabilized.
rolled 43 = 43Pardon my rollan.
>>19798954Don't you remember when you said "Resources exist to be consumed. And consumed they will be, if not by this generation then by some future. By what right does this forgotten future seek to deny us our birthright? None I say! Let us take what is ours, chew and eat our fill."-- Accountbrate, "The Ethics of Greed"So stop complaining about us using them.
>>19799024Not yet, then.Sooooon.>>19799017So, slow unit production? Should we halt construction of the orbital platforms?
>>19799048Once we get one at each of the planets we're defending.
>>19799091Each planet, or just Yoshus/Xenta?
>>19799172Youshus, Xenta, Dagoba, and I suppose Moria, Tarsonis, and that new one we gave them.
>>19799172Each of the major listed planets. So Xenta, Yoshus, Dagobah, Tyrador, and Nuke World 2.0.
>>19798853Seriously, Accountantbrate should talk to Labbrate about this.Black Holes contain significant amounts of material.
>>19799202>>19799207>Yoshus, Xenta, Dagobah, Moria, TarsonisAccountantbrate estimates that to keep at least on a par with the Protoss' expected growth, complete these platforms, and indulge in a moon-wide amusement park, extragalactic exploration might be the best program to cut. Nargil chimes in that the Overmind had never extended Its control past the edge of the galaxy, and thus the limits of the Zerg's range of control is unknown; we might send a heighliner to Andromeda and simply lose a heighliner to the cold of space.Considering the cost of heighliners, Accountantbrate suddenly feels much more strongly about this.
>>19799337Labbrate is open to suggestions, if you have any idea how to get at that material without spaghettification ensuing.
>>19799394Very well. We'll cut extra-galactic exploration to a small amount, say, using a dropship filled with nutrients and supplies for extreme long-range travel, and have it attempt to leave the galaxy to gauge the full range of our psionic control. If it works, we'll open up entire new galaxies for mineral exploitation. If it fails, we lose a single dropship and a cloned infested Terran. A small price to pay for scientific progress.
>>19799394how about we do a test then. We'll bring a leviathan (or whatever those zerg whales they used for warp travel is called) to the edge of the galaxy and send it out. see if we lose control after a while.
>>19799437>>19799438>I mean, you may think it's a long way down the road to the chemist's, but that's just peanuts to space.Traveling at a snail's pace through warp outside the galaxy is to hopping into the Andromeda galaxy like walking to the fridge is to Apollo 11, guys...
>>19799490We're not expecting it to get there, we're simply using it to gauge the full range of our psionic control. We've got lots of other projects to fill the time. This is meant to be a long-term project.
>>19799490It's not a dedicated project. It's a probe, a long-scale job, to accurately gauge the range of our control. But mostly, to see how many psychic-nodes we would need to create to consume this entire galaxy and the closest one to us.
rolled 27 = 27>>19799500>>19799517(Mkay. Just wanted to make sure we had the relative distances in mind. We've always played a little fast and loose with it, but extragalactic travel's a huge-ass proposition.)A heighliner takes a dropship loaded with supplies to an arbitrary point at the "edge" of the galaxy, such as it is. It begins its journey. There is no immediate change in control. So, at least, we know that some of the Terrans' fiction about Great Barriers around the galaxy are as fantastic as they seemed. Still, wefind ourselves a little relieved.
>>19799588So back onto pressing issues. Taking over every unaligned planet in the galaxy.
rolled 23 = 23>>19799588Suddenly reapers?(Seems like the quest as a whole is slowing down.)

>>19799661center works. We'll work going out.
We could have used a heighliner with a preprogrammed terminator and some kind of caged zerg. If the zerg shows any sign of losing control (like going feral), the terminator must return the carrier to Xenta.Actually we could have a zergling dancing, or some sort of very coordinated action, if the zergling stopped that, the terminator returns the ship.We should ask labrate and cyberbrate their opinion on this plan.

>>19799751>>19799770The first world we encounter is volcanic, and unstable. We wouldn't have expected life, but a surprisingly vibrant ecosystem is there. Nargil spies two species that catch its interest: a large reptile with chemosynthetic appendages, and a plant that ambushes prey under ashen cover. It asks which one we want it to pursue, first.
>>19799867Oooh. Plant.
>>19799867Plants. Seems like a good passive defence to incorporate into the Creep.
