You are a Magical Girl. And as you glance at your own pathetic reflection on the brushed metal walls of the Mitakihara Tower One elevator - you realize that you are slowly going insane. It's a bit ironic, in a way. You'd always thought all the drinking and painkiller abuse would do you in, finally send you over the brink. All those chemicals and alcohol, burning out synapses, nerves and brain cells, combined with a terminal sleep debt that you only pay by installments - or whenever your body just shuts down and refuses to move. The hallucinations you've learned to tolerate, until one of them started talking back, smiling with dead eyes, bearing golden gifts that drove their recipients bloodthirsty and hungry for flesh. You're in bad shape, and it could only get worse from here. Whatever god or deity that picks up dead Magical Girls after they've kicked the bucket is going to have an awful start to their workweek when you finally expire. Closed casket burial only - you don't want your friends, what few of them are left, to turn away in disgust at your funeral. You let out a sigh. You've never really considered that something like this would happen. If you did, you'd probably have turned the gun on yourself a long time ago.Of course, that's only if you had the guts to pull the trigger in the first place.30, 31, 32. The electronic floor display ticking away the floors as you ascend. The elevator is taking its own sweet time, but you're not exactly worried. You are, after all, in no hurry. No one about to die usually is.
It's already rapidly approaching sunset. You've lost count of the hours, but it's been definitely four or five hours since this all started. Assigned to kill a fellow Magical Girl that's been declared as a liability, you decided to talk to them, in person, at a place of their choosing. That turned out just as well as you'd hoped. A secondary murder attempt and a haphazard rearming later, you find out that your target has taken someone close to you - someone who, while you were asleep, told your would-be murderer that you were gunning for her.And now you're here, to carry out what you've been told to do. A decommission. A retirement. Fancy-sounding words for an ugly job. Sure, you hated the person you're going to do it to, but it never fails to leave a bad taste in your mouth.Because one day, it will happen to you. Not a question of if, but when, and who is sent after you.Despite the fact that you're currently in a fiberglass-and-steel vertical tunnel heading to the roof of a skyscraper in ear-popping altitudes, you hear the faint chatter of both Sayaka and Misaka, in the building a couple of blocks away from the one you're in. They don't seem to be encountering any resistance, and you hear Sayaka cheerfully introduce Misaka as her younger sister. Cover story, probably. That's the thing you admire most about Sayaka - she can act like no one's business.58, 59, 60. You feel the elevator slowly come to a halt as it reaches the top floor - the floor where the helipad should be. And if you played your cards right today, the place where a Magical Girl finally dies. You or Kirika, you're not particularly concerned who at the moment. One of you. It's just the way it has to be.The golden Desert Eagle snaps into your hand like it's the most natural thing in the world as the doors slide open.

>>19721553You step out into the Helipad, your heels making sharp noises on the hard tarmac. You immediately see two people, right at the very center of the pad itself: Mami, bloodied but standing, a firm and resolute expression on her tearful face; and Kirika, behind her, arms crossed, a small smile on her face, pleased at some personal joke. Her eyes are the darkest black you've ever seen. Darker than Pinky's.And her smile is bloody."Salutations, Murderface." She calls as you approach. "It's nice of you to join us."How do you respond? How do you react?
>>19721553Keep our grip tight on the weapon and step forward, ready to meet our foe. We need to trust now that Misaka and Sayaka will be in position and ready to do their part when the opening comes. It's our job to create that opening. Kirika will be ready for us, so we should expect to be at the disadvantage. However, it's very possible that Kirika, given her particular contempt for us and our style of fighting, will indulge in some self-serving monologuing before attacking. We should draw it out as long as possible to give Misaka time to set up her shot.Walk out cautiously and purposefully, and assess our surroundings as quickly as possible. We need to know exactly where and how to maneuver Kirika so that there won't be any obstruction between her cranium and the armor-piercing round coming to greet it.
>>19721618This. Oh, and check discreetly if Sayaka and Misaka are in position.
Put the deagle away and get out one of our other guns.Tell her to let Mami go since she isn't involved in thisMake sure Mami is ok then tell her to go back to HQ so she can get patched up if Kirika let's her goWe can have a chat with her about leaking info and such things later but right now we need to get her out of danger
>>19721611Check Mami."Mami, are you alright?"Focus on Kirika. Keep the golden desert eagle and get ready toss a flashbang and equip the AA-12."Let her go.".
>>19721618We'll talk to Kirika until Mami is close, and in mid-sentence, signal Misaka to fire while throwing the flashbang.
>>19721611Try to discreetly check if Misaka is ready to introduce her to the 20mm.Get ready to use a flashbang and the AA-12, keep the deagle about.Hey there Kirika, I'm here, one of us is going to die, would you mind letting Mami get out of the way, she isn't needed here any longer.
>>19721538OOC: I thought we agreed to leave the gold Deagle alone after what happened last chapter. We don't want Pinky getting her claws into us any further than she already has.
>>19721713We are going to try but it is one of those cursed items that will just keep turning up as we go for a gun
>>19721618Second. Getting Mami out of the line if fire and out of here is our first priority, though.
>>19721713As these quests go on I'm thinking it's a cursed weapon, like the kind you find in roguelikes.> where's that scroll of identify
>>19721611"Fuck you."Drop the DEagle. Don't stash it, just drop it. Pull out something else.
OOC: We need to have a talk with Mami too if we survive all of this. I understand she doesn't want her friends to die but this Care Bear faggotry will end up getting all of us killed, and she needs to understand that.
>>19721720So...we can use it like a (blunt) boomerang?
>>19721756Yeah but we have to aid sure she is safe before we can have a talk with her.We might be a bitch but we don't want our friends to get hurt ( there aren't enough of them to begin with ) and we want to keep our pancake supply safe
I don't think guns will be effective
>>19721626>>19721618You step forward, slowly, deliberately, the Desert Eagle glinting heavily in your left hand as you make your way over to them - stopping just ten paces away from Mami, and twelve paces from Kirika. You realize with a small smile on your face that you could, in one moment, shoot the both of them before they could react. The range is short enough that their skulls will be pulped with the impact, their faces rendered unrecognizable.Mami is the first to speak, and when she does, she is pleading. Begging."Chiaki-san, please." She is in her Magical Girl costume - a costume that you've always thought looked especially nice on her, accentuating her curves, complimenting her colors. Her Soul Gem gleaming by her ear, pinned next to her beret. Her voice is quivering as she begs you to do the impossible. "You don't have to do this. L-let Kirika-san go, please. She won't hurt anyone else. Just let her go - Kyuubey doesn't need to know. He won't find out. He'll never find out. I'll...I'll take full responsibility for it! No one has to die here, Chiaki-san! Please! Let Kirika go! For me!"The Desert Eagle seems to twitch in your grasp. Or is it your own hand twitching?
>>19721926You know I can't do that. I may be a killer but Kirika is a mad dog, she'll never stop killing people, she needs to be put down. Get out of the way Mami, get somewhere safe.
"Give it up, Mami-chan. It's impossible." Kirika says from behind the blonde, smiling her shark's smile. "Do you think she'll actually listen? We don't know if she's even sober enough to actually comprehend what you're saying. Look at her." She gestures to you. "She probably doesn't even know where she is, right now. Do you really think someone like her could understand?" "N-no," Mami murmurs, seemingly rooted to the spot, unable to turn towards Kirika. "I...I trust Chiaki-san. With my life. She'll listen to me..."You watch this play out in silence, before murmuring quietly into your headset's microphone."Misaka is ready," You hear the arms dealer whisper, a tinny voice in your ear. "Misaka has Kirika in her sights, but Mami-san is too close. You have to get her away from Kirika-san..."A crackle. "Jesus Christ, Murderface. You should see how big this goddamn thing is. It's--""Chiaki-san? Are you listening?" Mami is crying now. "I...I told Kirika. I told her when I saw your dossier. I didn't want to lose either of you, and...j-just please, let her go. She's not going to bother anyone else. Please...""Kill them." Another voice, a third voice, whispers in your ear, hissing like a snake. "Kill them, Homura-chan. Make this easier on yourself. Kill them both."You're not sure if it's Pinky, or just your imagination, picking out words in the static. Either way...How do you proceed?
>>19721945This.Then grin to the mad magical girl. "Remember the prediction ? Remember the number on this gun ? Tomorrow I will live, and you won't be alive anymore.". That will maybe destabilize her.
>>19721926Check their soul gems for corruption. Why aren't we losing the damn desert eagle yet? Take a deep breath. Resist mental compulsion. Drop it. NOW. And use the AA-12 instead."That depends on Kirika."
>>19721948I am starting to think that killing Kirika is a bad idea
>>19721948Flashbang, time stop, grab Mami and pop out, then have Misaka cripple Kirika.
>>19721948Toss the fucking deagle either in the shield or off the roof but either way get it out of our hand.Tell Mami to go. We can't have her hurt due to us, then turn to Kirika and ask if she is sure she wants to go this way because we aren't dying here today
>>19721948"Mami, I'd be more incline to listen if you hadn't betrayed me. You could have at least warned me that she knew." Raise the gun, point it at Mami."You're a liability. Aside from your fucking glorious pancakes, give me a reason not to pull the trigger, right. Now."If we hear Misaka fire over the mic, timestop and pull Mami away, and fire at locations Kirika is likely to dodge.
>>19722007Don't. That makes it seem like we are even more unstable then we already are given that we just pulled a gun on Sayaka before coming up here.
>>19721948Stop listening to Pinky. It's the booze talking. It's a fallen angel. It's the final revenge of painkillers. We are our own woman. We fight on our own terms. We /kill/ on our own terms.Reach down, reach for our bottomless ewer of antipathy and rage. Every slight and every wrong, every person we had to see die, by the hands of another or our own. Feel out the insinuating influence. Then drown it.Drop. That. Fucking. Gun.
>>19721963>The prophecy is coming trueAs Guts, Kamina, and any other badass would say Fuck the prophecy we make our own destiny>>19722041This
>>19721662 >>19722005 >>19722041You glance down at the Desert Eagle in your hand. You're gripping it tightly enough for the grip's texture to imprint itself onto your palm, tight enough for your knuckles to burn white with the strain. Your index finger impatiently tapping against the trigger, like a persistent spasm. You close your eyes briefly. One by one, you feel your fingers uncurling from the grip. Each one relaxing.Nothing is compelling you to hold it, you tell yourself. Nothing. No one. Not even the pink-haired girl from your nightmares. You open your eyes as you hear the dull thud - followed by a sharp clatter - as the Desert Eagle falls from your hand."Murderface, did you just--" You hear Sayaka snap at you from your headset."I can't."It's the first words you utter ever since you've stepped into this nightmare. You are slightly horrified to hear how dry your throat is, and how gravelly your voice sounds like in this eerie silence. Mami blinks at you, eyes widening, tears streaking down her cheeks as you refuse her the one thing you cannot give her. You would give everything else for her, you know - just as she would have. "Why?" Is all she asks, tearful, heartbroken. Disappointed in you. As if you could have said anything else. As if you could have been anything else than worthless.
>>19722275Because it needs to be done. I'm sorry.
You could answer her. You could convince her. That her friend behind her is unstable, a danger to herself and others. She is unpredictable, a maniac psycho-killer that kills as easily as she breathes. She does not care who she kills, so long as she does. Being paid for it is a bonus. You could make that case against Kirika.Knowing full well, of course, that you've made that same case against yourself, too."I told you, Mami-chan." Kirika's smile grows wider. "See? She refuses, but she can't tell you why. Why so, indeed? Is it simply your dedication to your job, Murderface - or Chiaki Matsuda, whatever the hell you call yourself now? Is it loyalty to the Incubator, who sends girls to do his own dirty work for him?" Kirika one-handedly draws her weapon - a brilliant, shining blade of gold, gleaming where the dying sunlight hits it. "Or is it simply because you cannot bear to let someone like yourself live and have her own happy ending? Like some sort of misguided penance, like you don't deserve it."Kirika cackles at this. In a voice not entirely of her own. A harsh, grating cackle, not at all like her smooth, dulcet tones."No. No, I don't...no, Chiaki-san. You wouldn't do that." Mami shakes her head weakly. "I know you. You're...you're better than this! Just let her go, please--"
>>19722364Mami's eyes grow wide, suddenly, as a brilliant crimson lower erupts right in the middle of her chest. A sliver of golden light stabbing forth from the rapidly-expanding flower of blood, piercing her uniform's ribbon at the very center, undoing it, letting the length of yellow cloth fall downwards."C-Chiaki...san..."There's a liquid sound - and blood hissing as it splatters on the hot tarmac - as Kirika tears her sword away from Mami, the sunlight on the blade turning the bloodstains an ugly black. Mami's own form jerks back at the sudden movement, before crumpling into the floor, limp, a puppet with its strings cut."No more babbling." Kirika laughs as she licks Mami's blood from the sword. "Come on, Murderface. Time for that retirement."Your entire being screams at you to pick up your gun. This you ignore. You're much too angry for that, now.The loaded AA-12's bulk falls heavily in your hands just as Kirika charges you. What do you do?
>>19722377"Nobody messes with my pancakes, Bitch."Circlestrafe, keep firing the shotgun at her, don't let her get close.
>>19722377She killed Mami! Shoot her down!
>>19722377Time Stop.Empty an entire drum magazine in front of Kirika.Throw in a flashbang for good measure. Then go and pick up Mami's body and her Soul Gem, and get them to cover and safety.
>>19722377Yell "Mission, execute!" Begin pumping buckshot towards her. Timestop once she crosses half the distance,
>>19722390If we time stop, pin a few grenades on Kirika's person (preferably on her legs). Then get Mami & her soul gem the hell away from there.
>>19722377Sayaka warned us about this, didn't she, when Kirika would try to charge us? Let reason and reflex kick in for now, there will be time to grieve and rage later. Step aside, to her main-hand side in order to avoid both the impaling charge and any swing she might take at us. Get out of her way. Misaka has a split second to lead her and blow a new cavity through her chest if we're lucky. If not, open up on Kirika as she recovers from her momentum and put her down for good.
>>19722377Dodge her charge, then timestop and shoot all the bullets.
>>19722377Jump out of the way of her charge, listen to Sayaka's advice. While doing so Time Stop, we've got 32 rounds in the AA-12, we're going to use all of them. Focus on taking out her legs to turn her into an easy target for Misaka, but don't ignore the rest of her. Leave a pile of cooked grenades right in front of her, flashbangs in front of her eyes, frags by her limbs and so on. Get to Mami and move her out of there.
>>19722377Dodge the charge. Sayaka warned you about it, she might not be the sharpest knife in the drawer, but when it comes to melee she knows her business.Keep calm. As much as you can at least.Keep your distance and keep your eyes at her.
does spiderchan just not find these thread? fuck my life>>19721948haha, seeing a 7 foot rifle for the first time would blow my mind too>>19722377hostage is down, fire the 20mmdodge the charge if she lives and pump her full of buckshot
>>19722465>haha, seeing a 7 foot rifle for the first time would blow my mind tooit gets even more hilarious when taken out of context
Stop time and unload into that whore.Let's make her into Rin to go with EmiThen go help our friend and pancake dealer. See if we can get her healed
This, >>19722503 after we dodge the charge.
>>19722503We should avoid timestopping unless she's in out facepink is sure to be here, doing whatever it is she does.she probably feeds off the violence
>>19722377Dodge-shoot to the right, like Sayaka hinted. It's max payne time."Maybe we-"Give the signal to Misaka."-can schedule that later."
We should probably give a "Man Down" over the radio
>>19722519She's charging from 12 paces way, for a skilled swordsman who's as fast as she is, that is in our face.
>>1972258912-foot rule, aye
>>19722600If you are speaking of the Tueler principal, it is 21 feet and refers to the time it takes to draw and put the first round on target. and the time it takes to get within contact range (approximately at parity at that range)
>>19722624Except she can slow time and move faster than most people even without that
>>19722624Whatever the rule says, I don't think it applies to Magical Girls with time manipulation powers.
>>19722624A pace is usually considered around 2 to 2.5 feet long, so she's about 30 feet, but add in that she's a Magical Girl, which means she's way faster than normal, and that she has time slowing powers, it still counts as in our face.
>>19722411 >>19722390 >>19722385The shield on your arm - the device that stops time itself around you - is behaving strangely. It's clicking, as always, and you feel it grow warmer with each passing second - but there's something strange in the way it clicks. Like the gears are catching against something, unable to function. You'd have thought this strange, of course, if you weren't busy at the moment, snarling an oath at the cackling, black-garbed form of Kirika Kure as you roll to the side to dodge her just as she comes charging past - and it's then, on one knee, you start unloading at her general direction. Pulling the trigger far enough and hard enough that you're pressing it into the grip. The first shot takes Kirika by complete surprise as it slams right into her back, tearing into her uniform, tearing into flesh, and blasting her across the helipad. She manages to right herself in mid-air a split-second after, and you're shown just how quick and slippery the cackling bitch can get with her time dilation ability as you try to track her, firing all the while. It's difficult. She phases out of reality one moment, phasing in the next. Like an animation with some of its frames missing in between, her motion is incomplete, jumping and then landing in two places while being non-existent in between. It's her time dilation ability, working to her favor. Kirika is not giving you any time to activate your Time Stop, either - she's sticking close to you, making you move, making you dodge, making you react instantly just as you strive to blast her full of holes. She cackles as she hears your drum magazine click empty, and you curse as you let it drop and shove the other one in.
>>19722652Nope. Though it would be pretty damn funny asking someone like Masad Ayoob for his thoughts on this upcoming fight.
>>19722710Ah crap. Pinky must be interfering with our Time Stop.We should probably use a flashbang now while warning Misaka so she doesn't get blinded.
>>19722710Whatever we do, we need to avoid using explosives or spraying bullets randomly. We could end up damaging Mami's Soul Gem if we do.
>>19722748This. Getting her to stop long enough for Misaka to put a hole in her would be nice.
>>19722785Aye, we can't have that happen.
>>19722748Or it hasn't cooled down from last time we used it. We don't actually know how often / long we can use itWe did push it to the limit when we were talking to Pinky earlier on after all
>>19722710normally, I would say go full Danmaku on her, but I think we might hit delicious pancake maker more than stabby bitch. Throw some flashbangs to get her to stop moving, have overwatch take the shot
>>19722809Maybe, but I wouldn't be surprised if Pinky's bullshit was fucking with it.
>>19722814Can we get Mami behind us so we CAN go all out Danmaku?
>>19722710Flashbang, then reload.
>>19722831She's dead bro.Well, her body is.
>>19722843But her Soul Gem is intact, and that's what we need to protect.Making sure that Kirika isn't near Mami when Misaka takes the shot, or us covering Mami's body and Soul Gem when Misaka fires, is probably what we should aim for.
>>19722843We can get that fixed. That's sort of the point of soul gems anyway. Kyuubey or someone will be able to patch her up and flip her back on
>>19722710even at 1/10th time dilation, overwatch bullets would still travel ~260 feet a second.so, get pancake maker behind us and fire more sparingly.
>>19722710You roll to the side once more as she lunges toward you in mid-reload, barely dodging a golden pig-sticker aiming to seperate your head from your shoulders. You scramble to your feet, desperate to increase the distance between the both of you. Kirika laughs again, a demon's laugh, as she saunters slowly toward your direction. Her eyes shining wetly with black, tarry blood."I have tasted the flesh of fallen angels, Murderface." She grins, licking her bloody teeth. "I've tasted the Devil's sweet blood. It runs in my veins." She steps over Mami's prone body, on top of the puddle of scarlet expanding underneath the girl who smiled at you and baked you pancakes whenever you asked her to."I've seen beyond the world of skin and flesh, the architecture of blood and bone marrow. Death...death is coming, Murderface, and hell follows with her."Shut up, you scream at her. Shut up, you crazy, murdering bitch. The words have barely left your own lips as you raise your shotgun again, intent on ventilating her - when you feel a horrifically cold sensation on your right arm.You look down, and realize you don't have a right arm anymore. Cut neatly above the elbow, your shield clattering on the ground. Joining your dismembered limb on the tarmac, your soul gem still firmly planted on the back of your hand.
>>19722869Dimly, you hear Sayaka and Misaka arguing over the headset, panicking, the faint patter of gunshots in the background. At the same time, you feel your own blood dripping down your side, your skirt, into your stockings. You fall forward. First on your knees, and then on your one remaining hand. The AA-12 falling around your feet in two distinct pieces. You never even saw her coming."This is the twilight winter, Murderface. I am ready to be her herald." Kirika's voice is the only thing you can hear now, above your own pounding heartbeat. "Her time is now, and all who stands in her way...must die."You feel shock settling in, with adrenalin pumping hard in your veins. The Golden Desert Eagle glowing brightly, on the tarmac, no more than six paces away from you. Kirika is approaching from behind, evidently moving for the kill. What do you do?
>>19722869I leave you people for an hour and this happens
>>19722869WELPIts either overwatch saves or our doom.>Captcha>Among testesWat
>>19722883We will not use that thing
>>19722883fuckfuck shit ballsdie or use the deagle, not coolWe have like 20 seconds, unless we can use the shield while it not attached to us we have to use the deagle
>>19722883grab it and fire.I'll take a deal with the devil over certain death any day of the week. Iori is expecting us home before supper after all
>>19722883Go for the DEagle. The girl with the VIII weapon has to kill her, right? Presumably with the deagle."I am the wolf."And blow her fucking head off.
>>19722883Don't fall for that golden gun. We're better then that. Even if we are going to die, we were prepared for that before. We look at her and smile. She's gloating. Standing still. We win.
>>19722883reach over to our severed arm and timestop.
>>19722883i really do not want to pick up the GDeagle, do we have any other options?
>>19722883We still have our knife in our ankle holster.Draw it, and throw it at Kirika. Tell Misaka to take the shot.
>>19722883Six paces is too far for us to crawl before Kirika, unwinded as she is, merely lunges forward and finishes us. Sayaka and Misaka seem to have problems of their own now, with nothing to stop Kirika's inevitable advance towards us. But we do have a weapon even without our shield, don't we?Draw the knife from our boot, flip over, and throw it straight for her heart.
>>19722883Wait, is our soul gem far away?If so, then go kamikazi on the psycho. Take all our grenades(or any explosives), prime them while the bitch is coming from behind, then embrace her.
>>19722883Wait for her to strike, then grab the hand holding the blade and call for Misaka to snipe the fucker while she's disabled.
>>19722914There's gunshots in the background and Misaka & Sayaka arguing. It may be possible that they're getting swarmed by Yakuza or other hostile forces.
>>19722883Fuck this shit. Grab it by the barrel and lob it at her.
>>19722883We don't really have a choice, our Overwatch is compromised, fuck you Sayaka by the way you were supposed to keep Misaka free to take the shot, we can't use timestop or retrieve more weapons quickly enough with our arm off. Get the Deagle, ventilate the bitch.
>>19722883Mule kick when she's close. She thinks we're down, she's gonna want to savor this.
>>19722930we have golf clubs
>>19722883are those fucking yakuza ambushing our backup?we still have the knife.
>>19722883Don't fall for it, leave the gun.Violently throw ourselves into her.Fuck Pinky.
>>19722914This.Kirika has just made the biggest mistake possible, Misaka is the best sniper Kyuubey has and she is slowly walking in a straight line towards us with no interference. She is about the get a 20mm lead aspirin
>>19722949we're going to pass out in 20 seconds max from blood lossI doubt we'll be able to stand by the time she waddles to use
>>19722883Ask her why she didn't kill us back at the bar.
>>19722967We are a magical girl lich though. We may well be able to hold out longer than that
>>19722883"Yippie kai yay, Misaka."Prime flashbang. Don't touch that deagle.
>>19722963>>19722914Misaka's position is compromised, though. They're currently under attack by Yakuza and Sayaka is being a worthless bitch like always.>>19722973This might get us a few extra seconds, maybe enough time for Misaka to ready the Anzio again and take the shot. At the least, it'll give us time to get our knife.
if overwatch is being ambush I'm gonna say I said they should have been farther away
>>19722981We do keep stuff that's not in the shield, right? Right?> This is what happens when you don't get Misaka to shoot first.> Oh shit, we dead now.
>>19723004Knife on our leg iirc.
>>19722912This.We'll deal with whatever comes of it when it does.
>>19723004It's a fine question, as to how the inventory system works, if it requires our shield or not.
>>19723004>>19722993I trust Misaka to pull through. They can put us back together so long as our soul gem is alright, can't they? So no worries, our arm's a few metres away, it's not in the way.
Fuck it, grab the gun, use it, shove it back into the shield.
Get the deagle. Our immortal soul and sanity can go fuck themselves, she killed Mami.
>>19723014Use our Knife then
>>19722998This is Kirika's final showdown. Its not surprising if she pulled out all stops and asked her yakuza friends to set ambushes on ALL possible overwatch positions>>19723016>>19723026>>19723031I suggest we put that on back-up plan. Misaka still has the time to shoot.Besides, if shit goes south, we can stilla) knife, claws and bite.b) Ram her off the roof.
>>19723031Pancakes isn't dead until her soul gem shatters, it hasn't happened yet.
>>19723025There's nothing guaranteeing that Kirika *won't* go for our soul gem except for us. Unless she's just sadistic like that in her current state.
>>19723023The capital I Inventory is accessed through the shield. Afaik the only thing we have on our person is the knife in the boot.>>19723031Well, disabled her body at least.
>>19723031>>19723026If we use the deagle I'm betting we'll kill Mami.Remember it's whispering kill them boththrow the knife, hope for overwatch>>19723041she has magic claws and the sword. we're missing an armmelee is a no go
>>19723041>b) Ram her off the roof.Oh shit, she cut our arm off. Our Soul Gem is safely here on the roof.Even if we go over the edge, taking Kirika's Soul Gem with us, we won't be permanently dead because our Soul Gem will be intact.
>>19723063This. Fucking awesome.
>>19723050She seems pretty fucking sadistic like this given last time she decided to take one stab at us, taunt then run
Oh godYeah, try to keep her distracted and away from our soul gem- granted, that probably won't matter if she lops our head off.
>>19723063Aye, exactly. She's lowered her guard, just a bit. Maybe time it with the shot that may or may not come?Pity we cant use the grenades. Now is a good time for some ALLAH ACKBAR
>>19722883No, wait!"Kill me, and you'll never know what happened to Oriko." Bluff, get us time to flash her.Whisper, "Now, Misaka, fucking now!"
>>19723063If there is any chance we can do this, do it. It's just too delicious not to do.
>>19723089>>19723051Fuck, combine the two. Bluff her with Oriko and ram her off the roof with the knife.Misaka might save us, but Sayaka's not as fucking effective as we thought.
>>19723063Okay yeah this is great. Let's do this.
We're going to have to lecture Sayaka when this is over.
>>19723109What for? She actually sat down shut up and did her job as far as we know
>>19723102Okay, do this. I like the sound of this plan.
I think the main problem is that we havn't had anything to drink in the last 8 or so hours. That's just wrong.
>>19723114If she was doing her job correctly the men who are shooting at Misaka would be bloody smears on the ground before they got a single shot off.
>>19722932 >>19722930 >>19722928>>19722918 You find yourself being strangely calm and peaceful as you continue to bleed out on the tarmac. The Golden Desert Eagle still calling out to you, begging you to use it, to save yourself. You ignore it. It's not worth it, not even now. You're still angry, of course. You're still angry at just how badly you've screwed this one up. You're angry that an uppity little bitch like Kirika Kure managed to get the better of you, even spouting that crazy monkey talk direct from your nightmares. You're angry that you let a hallucination get under your skin, making you doubt the very skills that have seen you through worse. And more, still, you're angry at yourself for letting Mami get hurt.Gritting your teeth, you lean forward, grinding your forehead into the hot tarmac, using it to support you as you reach back for the combat knife strapped to your ankle.Funnily enough, it seems that Kirika has walked around you to face your front. Gloating long enough to mistake your awkward last attempts at setting things right for abasing yourself to her, to beg for mercy."No need for that, Murderface. I'm not in the business of granting you any." Kirika licks her teeth again, a rasping noise. "But I've always thought that groveling fits you."You have ten seconds of consciousness left. The knife comes away easily from its sheath, and you hide your smile. You only need three. The first is for you to spring forward with the last of what you have left. Your heels finding easy purchase on the cracked tarmac, you lunge right for Kirika, catching her immediately off-guard as you all but crash into her. The second is for you to stab your combat knife, held in a reverse grip, right in the middle of her chest - right where she stuck Mami from behind like the coward she was.
>>19723102Make sure we scream, "DDDDDAAAAAMMMMMMIIIIIIITTTTTTT, SSSAAAAAYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!"As we fall to our death(?).> mfw Didn't pack a parachute.
>>19723102This plan! SO MUCH THIS PLAN! "Wanna see if that flesh of those fallen angels of yours actually gives you wings?"
Golden Deagles, not even once.
>>19723143Smile at Mami as we take her off the roof.
>>19723146>mfw Didn't pack a parachute. And you know the infuriating thing? I remembered to list it as one of the things to get, since we're going to be fighting on the roof of a skyscraper. But it got drowned out in getting guns.
>>19723146>>19723169We won't die because our soul gem is still on the roof on the severed right hand. That said, falling 60 stories and hitting pavement is probably going to hurt like a bitch.
>>19723143we didn't stab her handswe're fucked
>>19723159Yes. Yes. Say this.
>>19723143The third is for you to scream into your headset's microphone - as Kirika stumbles backward, stunned from the knife sticking out of her sternum, right into her spine, making it difficult for her to breath - for Misaka to take the shot, just as you fall back onto the floor. You hear Misaka crying out your name over the channel just as the Anzio's thunderous discharge blots out everything. A moment later, you hear the exact same report - only this time, it's followed with a wet, crunching explosion, and the sensation of a warm sticky mist settling onto your skin.Propping yourself up by your one remaining arm, you open your eyes. Seeing nothing but rivulets of blood misting your glasses.Oh, and the bottom half of Kirika's corpse, standing for just a moment before falling back onto the tarmac."Nice shot." You murmur into your headset, before closing your eyes as you lie back down. You are Chiaki Matsuda, and you're very tired.
>>19723143Thanks for giving us a hand, Kirika. Augh, the puns. They hurt.
>>19723202Heart shot. It will put her out of commission just like it did when she stabbed Mami
>>19723217Crawl to Mami, apologize and pass out
>>19723217Yeah! Mission complete.Time to get smashed.
>>19723217Good, that settles that.Look for her soul gem. There is still the chance that it survived the blast. Best be safe than sorry. After that, check on Mami. This is not going to go well for her.
>>19723217>mistsay that's what you get for bring a sword to a gunfight bitchthen this >>19723230
>>19723217One last thing left to do. Go over to Mami, make sure her Soul Gem is alright. We still have a Grief Seed left if we need to cleanse her Soul Gem.THEN we can pass out.
>>19723217Fuck is that a knife or a machete?Sternum to spine is a decent depth
>>19723238And once we get back, get a crateful of gin, the strongest they have.
>>19723232What we say to Mami is, "Now you know why it had to happen. I'm sorry."
>>19723217>You are Chiaki Matsuda, and you're very tired. No fucking time to rest! Crawl over to Mami.
>>19723245oversized bowie knife
>>19723217First confirm the kill, make sure her soul gem is utterly destroyed.Second grab our arm and keep it close. Third get to Mami and apologize, ask if she'll still make us pancakes tomorrow. Make sure her soul gem is alright.Fourth get some fucking sleep.
I'm pretty sure we ran out of blood here guys... I don't think we'll be taking any actions for a bit. We should just focus on replenishing our liquids, as it were.
You all seem to forget we're going to pass out in less than 7 seconds.
We should make sure Mami doesn't flip the fuck out. In the anime when she realized that magical girls were basically liches destined to fall into despair and become witches she went crazy and killed Kyoko before trying to kill the rest of the girls before offing herself.
>>19723260Second. Just because we're bone-tired and bleeding out, doesn't mean we can leave a job half-done.We're a Magical Lich Girl, after all.
>>19723264it's magic, we're talking to panckes
>>19723264>Fuck Liquids>Acquire Mami
>>19723270Psh, naw. We don't even need seven seconds to do this shit.
>>19723264Pancakes > human limitations
>>19723260Also get Sayaka and Misaka to get our asses out of here. I hope they're not dead.
>>19723280It's girl-on-girl. Both of those are implied.
And now>NEXT TIMEYou all know it's a good time for it.
need to crawl over to mami if at all possible and grab her hand, this isn't a suggestion this is necessity.
If there's anyone nearby still conscious, we should make "need a hand" jokes with our severed arm.
>>19723298We're only at 168 posts, I think we can get to another UNTIL NEXT TIME good point. I hope.
>>19723318Someone had to say it. I volunteered
>>19723272>Mami... went crazy and killed Kyoko before trying to kill the rest of the girls before offing herself.Actually, Madoka killed her in that one timeline.
It certainly didn't feel like you closed your eyes for longer than a few seconds, but when you open them, you notice that you're looking up at the star-filled night sky.Well. You would be, if it weren't for Kyuubey's stupid face blocking your view. In fact, he's almost nose to nose with you, as if trying to peer into your soul."Ah, good. You're finally awake." His irritating voice stabbing into your mind is...well, irritating. "I should remind you, Matsuda, that sleeping on the job is not all that professional. But I'll look the other way this instance, considering the circumstances."Stupid asshole bastard cat, you ought to -- wait, what's this? What the hell is he doing here? And why does it feel like your head is resting on something really soft and warm, just like your favorite chair? You look around as well as you could, and you realize that you're not alone in the Helipad any longer. A rescue helicopter is cooling its rotors a few ways from you. You spy Kyoko fussing over Sayaka, the latter peppered with bandages and gauze. Misaka is the same thing, but she seems to be talking animatedly about things exploding. You see Mami lying strapped onto a stretcher, seemingly conscious, but hooked up to an oxygen mask. She sees you looking at her, and she turns away. This is...all well and good, but it doesn't explain--You hear sniffling and sobbing above you, and you crane your neck upwards, as painful as it felt. You manage to see no one else but Iori looking down at you, dabbing at her eyes with a handkerchief. Your head, it seems, is pillowed on your thighs. You try to frame the obvious questions, but you can't seem to bring them into words at the moment.
>>19723299feebly swipe at the catask about Mamiwhen did lori get here?
>>19723349What I meant was that Mami killed Kyoko and tried to kill the rest of the girls before Madoka stopped her. But nevertheless, we need to make sure this Mami doesn't lose it as she'll probably be wondering how she survived getting impaled.
>>19723352"Got a smoke?"
>>19723352"She insisted. And yes, she can see me, for some reason." Kyuubey glances down at you, before shaking its head. "Nearly kicked me into oncoming traffic when she heard me talk. Anyway, congratulations on your assignment. Kirika Kure has been retired from this agency." The mutant cat nods, satisfied. "We'll have your arm reattached in a few days. In the meantime, your bonus has been wired to your account.""This...this is what you really do?" Iori murmurs down at you, still tearful. "Being...a magical girl?"Kyuubey stares at Iori, before shaking his head and turning away. "I'll...see about Kirika Kure's remains. Stay right here. Minase Iori, make sure Matsuda doesn't move around too much, or she'll tear her bandages open."The Incubator leaves in a huff, leaving you alone with Iori. How do you respond?
>>19723352We know what started this shit; the golden weapons. This is a case of "when in trouble, disclose on the double." No matter how much we loathe QB, they've got better intel than us. We know the golden gun is fucking us and our shield is messing up. We keep this silent and it gets worse we're looking at being on the wrong side of that sniper rifle next time.
>You try to frame the obvious questions"I feel like I`m short on hands. Do you see an arm laying around here somwhere?" "
>>19723380>Nearly kicked me into oncoming traffic when she heard me talkshe heard me talkGood on her. Make sure she doesn't get any stupid ideas about becoming a magical girl to help us.
>>19723380So you took my advice on what to do if you saw that little shit, good girl.>>19723375I think she would know about it in this setting. We have had things like Emi turning up after all
>>19723380"Could you give me a hand here? I seem to have misplaced mine."We have been waiting to use that since FOREVER.
>>19723380"I guess there's no hiding it, is there? Fine."Yes, that is what I've been doing all this time."
>>19723391holy shit someone agrees with me>>19723380well, we killed several people to save you toonever become a magic girl, it sucks
>>19723380Completely straight-faced: "This is why you never talk to mutant cats."Then crack a small grin and continue, "Got a smoke?""How's the Mami, Misaka and Sayaka doing?"
>>19723421She was probably a little preoccupied with rape at the time to put two and two together.
>>19723380Sorry to worry you.Got any vodka?
>>19723380"Un. It`s nothing like in the mangas. Sorry."
>>19723391Plus, he already has suspicions we're not telling him something. He was told that we would know about Kirika's psychotic episode.
>>19723380"This is why I wanted you to stay away from the freak cat. Becoming a Magical Girl is never like how it is on TV. "Anyway, help me up. I need to talk to Mami."
>>19723391Sayaka mentioned that she'll be the one retiring us. QB might get us nice and dead before we can get to the bottom of the golden gun mystery.
>>19723380Never. Ever. Make a deal with that cat.
>>19723437Mami? She has undoubtedly seen things like this before and especially if we act like this all the time
>>19723380More or less.Kyubey takes contract work and passes it on, sometimes it's nice like body-guarding or killing a monster, often it's wetworks and black ops. Retiring one of our own is rare.Could you get me a cigarette, left inside breast pocket. The lighter is in the opposite pocket.
>>19723466Woops, misread your post, Thought you meant Iori knowing about Magical girls
>>19723380ask how Mami, Sayaka and Misaka are doing.need to talk to Mami, not sure what to tell her but i doubt anything we say would get us back in to a good standing right now.
>>19723462Which is part of why we need to get this shit out in the open ASAP. QB obviously has suspicions. We don't come clean, we'll probably be seen as off the rails. We bring forth how someone is infiltrating their network not only do we probably save our own ass, but have a solid chance of getting to the bottom of it.We call QB and talk about the golden weapons ASAP. This is not something that can wait
>>19723380>nearly kicked me into oncoming trafficso...how close to the traffic did you get him?
>joke about making katana bitch into Rin>shit hits the fan>No, Murderface, you are the Rin
>>19723512I've tried saying that we need to tell the god cat these things.they think the cat will just off us in laziness. The damned thing is pretty lazy though.
>>19723352>She sees you looking at her, and she turns away. She was trying to commit suicide-by-you, wasn't she.
>>19723541>>19723512If you want to come clear to the lazy uncaring boss who will probably just kill us instead of letting us sort shit out then sure.I will be sitting here waiting to say I told you not to go full retard in a noir setting
Are people seriously suggesting we confess to QB that we have been compromised by pinkie ?I mean, there is no way it could possibly go wrong, right ?It's only good old Kyuubey after all, he will surely understand because he care for each of his magical girls !
>>19723553Oh god no
>>19723541No, not in laziness. But as an attempt to cut his losses and cut whatever links Pinky has to his operation.
>>19723541The cat WILL off us if we don't come out with what's happening. An agent that keeps work related secrets from her superiors is useless at best and a liability at worst. He knows something is up and there's a good chance he'll think it's just from us getting crazy in our unlife. We get what's actually happening out there, not only do we have a chance to fight it ourselves without being called a renegade, but we may have the organization's prowess and intelligence behind us.Seriously, there are other people we care about who will get fucked over if this shit doesn't get taken care of. If we go down, who knows if Mami will get the next golden weapon? Go tell QB
Gentlemen remember that we can travel back in time
>>19723512Mami was the one who told Kirika, right? She's the leak?Well, QB already has a plan to kill us anyway. But he let us live on the helipad, so we might not get wasted on the spot if we tell him. Then again, he might not have any information for us anyway.
>>19723593Actually, that's debatable. Homura could only go back to when she woke up in the hospital, and this is obviously long past that point and our shield is broken. I don't think we could.
>>19723587Alright, screw it, tell him now. All our friends are here, he can't slay us on the spot.I think.
>>19723569QB isn't stupid. He the acquisition of the golden katana and how it went hand it hand with a sharp slide into full out crazy land. He saw us break out of our death spiral into a full plummet... corresponding with the acquisition of the golden gun. He's lazy, but he's also smart enough to put 2 and 2 together. We don't get this to our boss, he's going to have us offed. QB might be an uncaring, lazy fucktard, but someone is messing with his organization. He's competent enough to know that he needs to get to the bottom of it, and we're the only obvious way to do it.
>>19723593Don't think so. That ability was bound to (preventing of) one specific event, which already passed one way or the other.
>>19723593Our shield is broken, missing one of its jewels, and so it's unlikely that we can generate a new timeline.
>>19723587>>19723579>>19723569>>19723541Let's not tell him about Pinky. We should tell him about Kirika talking about the flesh of fallen angels, the black eyes and that a golden gun popped out of our Inventory and she acquired her golden katana.
>>19723587It is obvious most the people here never watched Madoka so I will spell it outKYUUBEY IS NOT TO BE FUCKING TRUSTED WITH SHIT.He is a manipulative cunt who makes deals which only serve him and he will cut losses on things short term to avoid bothering with longer term issues. And that's in the relatively nice world of magical girls. We are in a noir setting, the place where paranoia doesn't exist because everyone IS out to get you at one point or another. You don't trust your friends, your boss, your colleagues you don't even trust your family because they will just fuck you. We trusted Mami and it nearly got us killed, while we may like her we showed a massive fuck up in forgetting what the tone was
>It was QB's orders to retire Kirika>We hate QBWhy didn't we try to talk it out with Kirika
>>19723633We hate Kirika more than QB.
>>19723633We did. She didn't care.If she really wanted to run, she would have, instead of coming back and taking a hostage.
>>19723626WrongMami trusted us and we let her down
>>19723633Basically among the few people we despise more than Kyuubey the number one person on the list was Kirika.
>>19723633Yeah, I tried telling them that and no one listened.
>>19723432 >>19723429 >>19723421It's only after a few moments of silence - and of you realizing that you've been generously dosed with painkillers, seeing as you're not even feeling the stump where your right arm should be - that you reply to Iori, a small, sheepish smile on your face. You admit it to her, slowly, about what you really do. She knows the sort of things you get up to, but she didn't exactly know about the Magical Girl part."I...I never knew Magical Girls were real. I thought...um..." You see her glance down at your hand, and you lift it up to your face, looking at it. Your Soul Gem, in its diamond form, is affixed to your left hand now. Kyuubey must've placed it there for you, for convenience's sake. You ask if she thought that you were just a bodyguard with a cosplay fetish."N-no! Of course not!" Iori shakes her head furiously, trying her best to look offended. "Nothing of the sort! That's patently ridiculous, I..." Her cheeks turning pink, she looks away. "I...I thought it was just a cute uniform your agency makes you wear..."
>>19723652You would have laughed, if Kyuubey hadn't come around again. Kirika's sword, back in its sheathe, gripped between his teeth. He drops it beside you."Your salvage, Matsuda. Before the other girls get designs on it." Kyuubey smacks its feline lips a few times, as if trying to get the taste of something out of its mouth. "I've placed your pistol back in your inventory too, at that. You can thank me later."You glance down quickly at the blade, expecting it to suddenly come to life and finish the job Kirika started, but it just stays there, just like an inanimate object."I told you, don't move around too much." The incubator seems to frown, before shaking its head. "Now, about that leak, Matsuda...did you find out who it is?"You blink, and then look at Mami, who seems to be crying again.Tell Kyuubey about Mami.Don't tell Kyuubey.
>>19723648>Mami trusted us and we let her downHow exactly? It was impossible to stop Kiriko any other way than to kill her.Besides, it was not us who stabbed her though the chest.
>>19723633Read the thread, we tried, she tried to kill us, kidnapped Mami, and we lost an arm.>>19723626> meta as fuckErm, okay, we shut up for now. Not stopping us from looking through his documents though. Assuming magic cats have documents.
>>19723648How in the fuck do you get that?We let Mami come into our house while we were sleeping, she was able to look at documents intended for us only and then went and leaked that information to the targetThe only one I am seeing at fault here is the one who wasn't meant to be looking at the paperwork. Because if she hadn't told Kirika the job would have gone ahead without problems and we wouldn't be missing an arm right now
Don't say anything to QB that may make him doubt us more than he is already
>>19723657[x]Don't tell Kyuubey. And hey, may as well tell him about the golden weapons, give him something else to fixate on.And see how badly it comes back to fuck us in the ass.
>Don't tell Kyuubey.LIE GOD DAMN ITI don't care if Mami hates us, but goddamn we cannot have her die. Think of the pancakes!
>>19723657Just whispers on the wind.Holy fuck did I just say something poetic? Iori, hit me up with alcohol ASAP
>>19723657Don't tell. This is something that is between magical girls not for him to knowMention that Kirika seemed to go off the deep end and blabbered shit about the flesh of fallen angels. Nothing more
>>19723657[x]Don't tell Kyuubey.Mami's too kind for her own good and he might retire her if we tell him. She doesn't deserve that.
>>19723657Fuck Kyuubey. We don't know nothin.
>>19723633We did, she had goons shoot at us then took a hostage. The bitch was completely nutso, absofuckinglutely bonkers and she had a magic katana given to her by Pinky. There was about as much hope of us talking it out as there is of an innocent puppy surviving atmospheric reentry.>>19723657We tell him it is likely he'll get her retired. She fucked up bad this time, real bad, but I don't have the heart to condemn one of the only things we give a fuck about. It may bite us later, but that's what this is about. Also we'd lose our pancake wench. Ask if Kyubey knows anything about the Golden weapons.Ask Iori to give us a cigarette.
>>19723626He still understands fucking priorities. He has the very real problem of right now, someone trying to turn his organization against him. Someone who has been contacted by this nefarious agent is far, far more useful to him alive than dead.We pretty much have a choice. We can assume Kyuubey's retarded and won't pick up on anything. If we're wrong, then we're dead. If we're right, we're still trying to fight Pinky, someone who seems like they could kill us on a whim, by our lonesome or with very little support. Or we can come out with all the information we have. Kyuubey can either off someone who has already effectively rejected the offer, solving nothing, or he can help us to take down Pinky.Seriously, Kyuubey might be a manipulative cunt. But he still has goals and is fairly logical and rational. If we don't get a wider backing, then there's a good chance that Pinky goes after Mami next. That's not a risk I'm willing to take
"Yes." That's it. He doesn't get anything more from us. She did wrong and knows it. If she doesn't we deal.
>>19723645She was giving us a chance>>19723668Most of that was our fault>>19723669she wanted us to talk with Kirika
>>19723669>the job would have gone ahead without problemsActually, I doubt that.Pinky would have known, being omnipresent as she is, and would likely have given Kirika warning about us at our planned ambush. So we wouldn't have gotten into that fight in the bar, but we snagged a really nice bottle of whiskey, so I'm willing to say it balanced out.
>>19723657hhughuhguhguhguhguhgughguhgughgughguhgughdefy god cat, save our favorite person, get killed. fuck shit ballsdistract him with golden weapons talk, pretend the painkillers are getting to us. say we don't want the sword
>>19723657We say NOTHING about Mami. This is information that is of no benefit to him and will only get her killed. We instead bring up Pinky; it's a good segue and will keep us all alive longer
>>19723702And we did and it ended up with her setting yakuza onto us, then trying to fillet us and disappearing with time fuckery to go off to our apartment and cause trouble. This situation still came about because Mami leaked that we were assigned to kill Kirika
Feed him some information about the weapons and the flesh of fallen angels. If it comes to it, blame ourselves for Kirika suspecting.
>>19723657Don't tell Kyuubey.Mami shouldn't poke her nose in jobs unless asked to by the one who needs to carry it out.she found out what that could lead to in the most horrible way possible.
>>19723703We also had our house broken into, a good friend nearly killed and now seriously doubting herself and us.We may have gotten a good drink out of it but we still got screwed on it.>>19723657Distract the little shit with talk about the weapons and Kirika going off the deep end about angel flesh etc.
>>19723711No just say we don't know where she got the intel from. Then get Kyoko or Sayaka over here and get them to watch Mami and make sure she doesn't tell him she leaked the info
>>19723657Don't tell QB. We'll handle Mami. Assuming she doesn't flip out or something."I think it's plugged for now."> smacks its feline lips a few times, as if trying to get the taste of something out of its mouth"So, how's it taste like? 'Flesh of fallen angels'? Kirika loved screaming it at me."Try to prod him to revealing more information, about Pinky, fallen angels, the works."What the fuck is that sword anyway?"Grill him about the katana. We can make him know of it but without knowing we have it. Don't tell him we're infected.
Also, now that we know that Iori can see QB, we better make sure she understands how shitty (un)life as a magical girl really is.
>>19723748I'm not saying that we say we ,leaked the intel, but our attempts to gain information from her led to her suspecting. I can't point my index finger on anyone." pause "and it's not only because the one that I usually use is not attached at the moment."Look at Iori, smile, then back at QB"Anyway - I'm gonna need a new appartment. Kirika payed a visit and she is... well... was one hand with Yakuzas, so now they know as well. Therefore, unless your next order's gonna be to hunt down every single one of them, I better more."
[x]Don't tell Kyuubey. After he leaves tell Mami we're sorry. Break down.
>>19723773> She took Mami hostage just so she could prove that we could not be reasoned with> And she was rightI'd like to think it was the influence of Pinky's golden gun. I, for one didn't advocate wasting Kirika without reason. When she shanked Mami from behind, I think we have reason enough.
For god's sake don't tell Kyubey.
>>19723784>>19723773The future looks bleak and pancakeless. And we probably should do something about the Idol, too. It`s safe to assume that she`s fallen for us and I don`t think I need to spell out how bad of an idea that is.

>>19723753You really want to be asking pointed questions with no rational outside of "I'm curious?" Shit, the only way faster I could think of to a quick retirement would be to shove QB in a tea kettle and declare yourself Queen of England while mutilating everyone else in the room.WITHHOLDING INFORMATION WILL GET US KILLED. Seriously, since when did QB sound like a guy who would just tell us everything? The son of a bitch will lie by omission until the heat death of the universe (which comes about because the organization is compromised because we didn't warn our superiors about fucking Pinky). We are right now the best shot at stopping Pinky. We make sure he knows that, we have a chance to save ourselves and our friends. Otherwise we're dead, they're dead, and we'll have accomplished nothing.
I actually reread Oriko Magica and realized that Kirika has a lot in common with Homura
>>19723773We didn't go to the bar to kill her we went to find out about the golden weapons. She burst into our apartment, started wrecking shit and then beat Mami up and took her hostage. "Can you hear me, or did the paramedics give you too high a dose of painkillers?"You shake your head, looking away from Mami, before murmuring to the Incubator that no, you have no idea who the leak is. As deadpan as you can, you posit that Kirika may have known right from the start. You give him the Disney version of the events - that Kirika had gone completely fucking insane and tried to gut you every step of the way as soon as you talked to her.Kyuubey stares at you for a few moments too long, before slowly nodding. "...I see. I suppose we may have jumped to conclusions about a possible...leak, as you say. She could have simply arrived at that conclusion when you approached her because of her paranoia and coincidentally turned out to be right." He turns slightly to glance at Mami, before back at you. "It sounds logical enough."You couldn't agree more. You open your mouth to breach the subject about Pinky and her golden toys, but somehow this doesn't seem to be the right moment to."I'll give you a few days to rest, and then you can report to the office for your debriefing. I mean it, Matsuda. The office. Don't make me commute to your apartment again." Kyuubey reminds you, and you nod. Seemingly satisfied at this, he goes off again, this time to talk to the helicopter staff.
You reach out with your one remaining hand to grab the sword by its sheath.It...doesn't feel that bad. Feels nice in your grip, actually. You think you'll keep it, for a bit. You're scared of the thing, but what's the alternative - Sayaka getting her hands on it?You turn to Iori, and ask her to give you a hand getting up. She's not...ready to talk to you now. Not just yet. Still, it means something if you make the first move, right? You murmur to her that you're sorry, and reach out with your one remaining hand to squeeze her own, briefly. She doesn't squeeze back, and you leave it at that. You ask Iori to help you towards the other three girls in the vicinity - the ones loudly chatting their heads off."Ah, heeey! Is Murderface! Murderface, heey!" Misaka, sporting her own bruises and bandages, but surprisingly less injured than Sayaka, beams at your arrival. "Not too bad way to end assignment, eh? BANG! YOU ARE DEAD!" She giggles. "Ah, that one felt good! Wish I could have taken picture of Kirika-san's face just before impact!"She blinks at your stump of a right arm, seemingly disturbed, before grinning up at you. "Ah! Is just flesh wound! Cannot hurt Murderface that easily, eh?" She jumps up and pokes at you. "Misaka can make you augmetic arm, good as new! With it Murderface can be as strong as TEN gorillas!"You smile at this and thank her for her assistance. You mention something about her getting the power armor ready."Ah, of course! Of course! >>19724375Only problem I have is with Number 5. We're a Magical Girl; we're usually solo operators. Not necessarily by choice, but by how QB assigns us missions. So most of the time we likely won't be able to get backup.
>>19724361The way she talks, I keep picturing Misaka as the Heavy's daughter or something.
>>19724406That works for mehttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEgjqcI03xw
>>19724361While an augmented arm would be cool, it would probably be best to just have our old arm healed. We're familiar with it and sense of touch is something you tend to take for granted until you lose it. Besides we have the power armor for augmentation.
>>19724406She does seem to be leaning that way so far.Wondering what ammo she used on Kirika since she basically blew her upper body clean off from how I read the bit earlier
>>19724361>"Misaka can make you augmetic arm, good as new! With it Murderface can be as strong as TEN gorillas!"Oh cripes she's going to turn us into Commisar...Oh heck, was it Yorick? I'm not too knowledgeable on WH40K/
>>19724361As nice as an augmetic would be, our old arm is probably better because of the tactile feedback.
>>19724437I say we get a programmable arm, it's magic land after all. How hard can it be to have a arm that can use weapons on it's own.>>19724440It was a 20mm rifle at like two blocks away. I'd say that's pretty close to what would happen irl. Not the head and arms yeah, butt he upper torso would be gone.
>>19724445Yarrick, the guy who tore a giant claw off an ork then told them to stitch it into his arm basically
>>19724361You pat her on the head - she's a good few inches shorter than you - and it's then that you walk a bit farther to get at the two lovebirds, Kyoko and Sayaka. Kyoko is unharmed for the most part - Sayaka's the one who looks the worst for wear, even with your lack of a right hand. Her cape is bloody and torn, one arm is bandaged from shoulder to wrist, and one eye seems to be swollen shut. She is still holding what looks to be a broken sword of hers, most of the blade seemingly having been broken off in someone's spine, or something.Kyoko seems to brighten up at your arrival, while Sayaka merely smirks. That's....a good sign, you think. At least she's not rambling about how this is all your fault because Mami got hurt."Hey, Murderface--" Kyoko starts. You remind her to call you Chiaki."Fine, whatever. Grats on the assignment, seriously! I mean, retiring a stone cold bitch like Kirika? That takes a lot - and in your case, your entire frickin' right arm, haha!" Kyoko seems not that surprised with the news, even deigning to laugh about it. "I'd give you a hand, but I kinda need both for our new resident pigsticker here!" She slaps Sayaka on the back, who hisses in pain. "Watch it! Bastard Yaks got me there!""Sorry, sorry!"
>>19724404Well, it depends how creative you are with the constraints at times, yes? Maybe having remote-triggered mines or proximity mines would be nice.
>>19724481You nod at Kyoko, and turn to Sayaka, who seems to be glancing at Iori, and then at you. You thank her for helping you out by protecting Misaka at her sniper's nest."Nah, s'alright. No need to thank me." Sayaka says after a moment, cheeks turning pink as she looks away. "Wasn't that hard, anyhow. And I got to see you get nearly murdered, so that's sort of a plus for me."You laugh and call her an asshole, and she returns the favor. It's then, though, that you see her looking at the sword you have tucked underneath your arm."Hey, that's Kirika's, right? Can I see it?"Show her the sword. How about not showing her the sword?
Right arm is Schlicking arm. Let's avoid mechanizing it if possible.
How about we just get our old arm back? Bad enough with our device being disrupted without having to worry about a new metal arm giving us trouble.>Power armour.Ugh. How about we leave the science fiction toys to Misaka and stick to /k/ load outs and gritty determination. We're no spess mahrine and giant robot hands just comes across as going down a list of fanservice at this point.
>>19724440pic of the rifle she used>>19724493show her, don't let her keep it
>>19724493Let her see it but that's it.Tell her we think it was related to Kirika going crazy
So how do we indirectly say that Kirika's sword has bad voodoo going with it?
>>19724493"look, but try not to touch. I think it might have something to do with what was fucking her up in the head more than usual lately."
>>19724510I wasn't trying to get it for ourselves. Misaka needs something to compete with magic girls.
>>19724493>fffffffffffff i think its best to not show her, well, at least not let her touch it.
>>19724510The problem with the metal arm is that it's not just the metal arm that's put on. There's also stuff after the metal arm that they insert in your torso and spine to balance it out and to be able to handle the power.
>>19724493We should have thrown that damn sword overboard when we could.
>>19724522Say we think it caused her to go mad from using it too much and we are going to look into it.She seemed really fixated on it when we talked to herUntil we know for sure we aren't using it or the deagle if at all possible
>>19724516Let's go with this.
>>19724493[x]Show her the sword. In the spirit of not immediately killing each other at the first opportunity, she can look, but no touching. "Hey, Kyoko said Kirika started going real batshit when she started using this thing. Hell, even QB seemed to get a weird taste from it. I think something's wrong with it. Maybe even cursed or something by another Incubator? Fuck, we know there's another one out there, we got one of his girls in the Silent Room, after all."Deflect suspicion from Pinky and our hallucinations onto a rival Incubator.
>>19724493Look but don't touch.
Come to think of itThis Misaka seems more like last order than one of the imouto
>>19724501we have iori for that now though
I'm going to be the baron of bad news and suggest we let her look at it. Her insight might for once be helpful or just seeing her reaction might reveal something.
>>19724572It is also our drinking arm I thinkSince the OP pic shows her holding the gun in her left and you keep your gun hand free
>>19724493Let her see the sword but tell her sternly that you believe it's probably the reason Kirika went crazy. If we told her no, she'd just get more suspicious and probably try to take it away. The one thing I still don't get is why Kyoko's eye never healed after Kirika stabbed it. Her soul gem wasn't destroyed so she should have recovered. Unless the golden weapons do permanent damage to magical girls? Which would be bad news for our right arm.
Can't we just reattach the arm with magic after all>as long as a magical girl's soul gem remains intact their body can be repaired with magic
>>19724565Let's tell Sayaka THIS VERSION of our story. Anyone with me?Oh yeah, repost the pastebin SOPs every new Noir thread, 'kay? I keep showing up late.
>>19724493[x]Maybe just a little. We're concerned that it was related to Kirika's… condition. We're keeping it safe.
>>19724572I suggest we don't get too close to Iori, she's a bit of wreck right now and acting out a saviour complex on us. Better we treat her with care but at arms length. Be cool about it and don't get too close... though with Mami on a downturn it might be tempting for you guys to turn to Iori I think she's going to be bad news in the long run. If we encourage it she might become obsessed and push herself further into our job (especially if she gets recruited).Though I dunno, maybe we'll get weak and go with it. We should probably drink this one out and keep her from getting too close, she can reallly do better and she's just acting on our one good act.
>>19724565Bad idea guys, Sayaka has seen us use the GoldenDeagle, and has seen us go batshit (with black eyes) while using it. Either we tell her the whole story or we just make her suspicious about us.
>>19724591I think it would be due to needing magic to repair it and kyuubey probably either asking for a bullshit cost to do it or being too lazy
>>19724644We need to fix Mami and keep Iori safe, so we can have a harem along with Misaka.
>>19724651they've already heard us talk about flesh of teh fallen angels before toothis is why I want to talk with the cat
>>19724651And we have avoided using it as much as possible
>>19724651>>19724493We whisper to her."You can take a look at it, but remember what happened with the golden gun a while ago. It's bad voodoo touching the sword."
You're not too hot in letting someone else get a hold of something so dangerous, and especially not someone who is more or less just as talented with a blade as Kirika was. So you decide to take Sayaka's request literally by letting the sword drop to your hand, before biting the handle gently and then pulling on the sheath - revealing a couple of inches of the golden blade itself."Yep, that's Kirika's all right." Kyoko remarks, just as Sayaka frowns at you - she seems to have been expecting you to hand it to her. "Solid gold. Is that a thing nowadays, really? Making your main weapon gold? I mean, sure it looks good, but it's got to be a bother sometimes, right?"You shrug and sheathe the weapon fully once more, tucking it back in your arm. You think it's just a passing fad, you say. Nothing really important.Kyuubey walks up to your group. "Well, that's all settled. Kirika Kure's remains are disposed of, her Soul Gem confirmed destroyed. Everyone, let's try and move on from this unfortunate event, and strive to do better in the future."Silence."In any case, let's thank Matsuda for a job well done, and both Misaka and Sayaka for providing support. Oh, speaking of which, Matsuda, would you want a lift to your apartment? I assume you'd want to recuperate there before we reattach your arm?"You nod. You're still tired, but having Iori by your side helps. You can't wait to get home, get back into your chair, and drink. "I made you dinner," Iori murmurs after a moment....And dinner. Yes. Maybe that, too.
>>19724644>at arms length...cough...
>>19724644As I said at the end of last thread, Iori is Waifuing on Chiaki, and Chiaki doesn't really know how to deal with it. I think it should… mostly stay that way.
Lack of communication kills. We should consider at least telling our fellow magical girls as this shit could happen to them next. QB is a little more iffy though, he could either decide to use us as an asset to kill Pinky or just cut his losses and retire us.
>>19724684Quietly warn Sayaka about the whole black eyes and insanity thing. Remind her about the whole thing with the deagle a while ago; explain to her why it's a bad idea to hold these weapons.
>>19724644>she might become obsessed Are you saying we might get a yandere out of it?
>>19724698this for the most partwe'll just drink until we fall asleep and not even eat the dinner
>>19724711don't temp me son
>>19724707Yeah, let's warn Sayaka about the whole thing and remind her about the insanity part.
And I think we can put a period on Kirika's retirement right here.Sorry for the massive delays, storm season is here and the network is a bit intermittent. Thank you for everyone who participated! It's a pleasure running this for you guys.
>>19724684I'm slightly unnerved that we haven't actually confirmed the kill ourselves, and we're going off QB's word that the job's done.Relying on QB's word is never a good thing.
>>19724699We could still run with the 'maybe another Incubator messing with him giving his girls golden weapons' story, as something that just occurred to us. And that way, we give him the golden DEagle as well, wash our hands of the DEagle and katana, and Sayaka knows not to mess with golden weapons. Of course, since this is a noir setting, things won't go that smoothly, and we'll still have to kill the people we don't want to, but at least we'll have tried.
>>19724714Oh god, Iori's gonna slip us a roofie.
>>19724739When's the next session? Remember OP, we're planning to quietly explain to Sayaka about the sword and the black eyes insanity thing.
>>19724711>we get yandere idol>good looking>good singing>willing to help us with whatever needs doingI see no problems. especially if we wind up going renegade
>>19724742I think thats the best idea in this thread. If we give him the Deagle we are pretty much on the save side, and we dont want to use it anyways.
>>19724744>wake up to lesbian rape>swig some whiskey>"eh, whatever"
>>19724699Here's the deal; we can not tell QB. If someone else suddenly starts waving around a gold weapon and goes nuts, he's going to connect the dots and we'll be dead. Hell, everyone close to us will probably get gibbed just to make sure. If we don't come out now we are gambling with both our and their lives that Pinky will give up. This is not a smart gamble. Seriously, those who don't want to tell QB about this seem to assume that both Pinky and QB are utterly retarded. QB is smart; scary smart even. He's not moraled since he's playing a game so long that we can't comprehend the timeframe, but he understands threats to his project. Pinky has managed to undermine and compromise a significant aspect of the way that we work. We've established that she's an enemy to us and those near us.Seriously, for someone like QB who highly values information, we're committing a cardinal sin here while putting our friends in danger for what? The thought that QB will act contrary to character and have us killed on a whim? This is noir. We don't communicate, we die. Do we really want Noir Quest 2: you have a cryptic note from the crazed magical girl "Murderface" you just had to retire; figure shit out? I don't, since that would mean we lost, and I fucking hate losing
>>19724791losing is bad, I agree. But we're the only two who think talking to cat god is a good idea. He would be alarmed someone compromising his work so easily and it'd be much easier to use us as a link to pink then try to find her with a cold trail.hell, I think it's a 60/40. But 60 is still better then 40
>>19724791Pretty much this.
>>19724739oh. You are awesome for keeping this up.see you soon
>>19724836losing is bad, dying is worse.i prefer if we did tell QB and the girls TBH because of the fact that we ignore the people around us, we will die a horrible horrible death and nobody will give a flying fuck.also yes QB is a dick, a really really big dick, however QB loves his plans a hell of a lot more then he loves anything else though and he does have the right to know about the shenanigans going on.
>>19724699That makes sense in most situations, but we're basically dealing with broken magic girls here. What happened with Mami is a pretty clear cut example; she clutches on to the idea that you are all better people then you think you are, you love her for it but it makes her act in ways which endanger the mission. She wants a good ending but couldn't see past what she wants you all to be.Paranoia, grudges, rumours. Your team is a hot pot of teenage issues mixed with a grim mission and a harsh reality. Kyoko is probably the safest girl to be open with because she rarely reads between the lines she doesn't like thinking too hard about implications.Sayaka dislikes us and might even try and twist any evidence we give her we're losing it as a excuse to try and get you retired.Mami is a good shoulder to cry on, she plays the big sister to cope with the cruelty of it all, she wants it all to be worth something, she can't handle some parts of the job.Misaka seems like a mad scientist, good for theory crafting but I'd be cautious handing her anything too explosive (at least in magical terms like your golden weapons) who knows what she'll do with it. We don't know enough about her to know if she can keep a secret either. Kyoko at least seems to respect that kind of thing to a point. So I think we need to be honest to a point, but keep certain things like our failing control of our emotions to ourself.
>>19724791I agree, and GIVE him the Golden Weapons to safeguard. That way he can feel in control and we look like the obedient, controllable agent we wan't him to think we are.We will never find anything out without more resources, and Kyubees Resources are damn impressive.
>>19724880True, but consider that we've already been having episodes such as the black-eyes bit with Sayaka which seems to be out of our control. Regardless of what we do we're going to start drawing suspicion, if we haven't already, and it would probably be best to seek help now rather than wait for everything to fall apart. Ounce of prevention versus pound of cure and all that.
>>19724880Oh yeah, we don't tell him about our bits of almost uncontrollable rage.but he needs to know about pink >>19724915
>>19724880I think we need to make ourselves seem better in a report, yes, but QB still needs to know. Knowledge is power and by "losing" I mean "we die." If anything else pops up Golden weapon related and we haven't reported everything we know? We'll be considered to be compromised and dealt with accordingly. Thus anyone who doesn't want to report to him is basically banking on a combination of Pinky giving up or QB being merciful... two horribly out of character ideas. We are making a classic mistake if we don't come forth with all the information we know; let's be at least a little interested in the survival of us and our allies and tell QB
>>19724836He's saying don't tell QB, do tell other girls.I think. Which sounds fine to me, though one of them might blab to QB.
>>19724739Dammit, Deculture, your quest is the only thing making me visit /tg/ this days.I love you, man, you're great.
>>19724938I think he ment to "can not not"otherwise the rest of what he wrote wouldn't make sense.
>>19724953Then where do you normally go
>>19724980Got plenty of other places to hang out.
>>19724967Huh, yeah, that does make more sense.
>>19724938No, I'm saying tell QB. Telling the other girls and not QB is suicidal. We know we can't trust Mami as she's almost retardedly naive and another fellow MG is counting the days until she gets an excuse to off us. This kind of information has will make it to QB eventually; the longer we wait the less chance we'll have control over how he hears it. Thus we need to make sure that QB hears it from OUR mouth, not secondhand. We tell QB and the rest of the squad after we've been debriefed. We make sure to tone down the out of control raging parts, but QB absolutely needs to know. This is someone fucking with his plans, he takes this sort of shit seriously. If we do not make sure QB knows about this and that we're a reliable agent on his side of the equation we're dead, sooner rather than later. Really people, there's a reason "when in trouble, disclose on the double" is a useful goddamn phrase. We're up to our neck in shit and if we don't make sure QB knows we aren't going to fuck him we'll be fighting a battle against Pinky and him. That's not something we'll win
>>19725009Yeah, typo; we cannot not tell QB. Damn you internet and your tendency to make me not proofread!
>>19724758That sort of goes against the idea we were trying to look what is best for her in the first place. If this incident taught us anything; we are dangerous to be around. We'll take almost any job, we drink to escape some terrible memory and we rub other psychos the wrong way.Not that it matters though, I figure she'll go down that route no matter how distant we try to be. I doubt we'll flat out reject her hard enough to make her hate us.Harem is a poor term for our relationships and it's not ideal (or even fitting) to try for one. Rather we have people who we don't hate, who even to a degree seem to look up to us. Mami is the only one I feel we have any real feelings towards, without prompting (as far as we remember) she thinks better of us. Or at least she did. Mami inspires this with most of the girls, probably because it's how she copes. Still she's out blonde dame. Iori is more like a dependant, she feels safe around us, she's getting confused about it but we only really wanted to make sure she got better. We had no real desires towards her. Misaka is just a trusted contact as far as I can tell.Seems to me what we really want here isn't a harem to engage fantasies with, rather people we can rely on and wish well of. Yes, there is a difference.
>>19725079this for the most part. save the waifuing for when we're not going crazyI say we could temp Misaka by hiding guns in our bed though near the end.
I'm thinking. We can tamper with the Deagle to make it unsable, right? I'm thinking we can unchamber the bullet in the barrel, remove the magazine and wrap/stuff duct tape all over it. Alternatively we can pour silicone or liquid rubber down the magazine hole in the handle, and into the barrel. As for the golden katana, we can do the same around the pommel and make it difficult to unsheathe. Alteranatively we can seal the pommel and opening in a block of bakelite. Why am I not suggesting we just encase the weapons entirely in bakelite? Because what if the weapons disappear inside the brick and re-appear outside?
Seems like we're pretty much all in agreement about telling everyone. So our plan is as follows:1. During the debriefing, tell everyone about Pinky, the golden weapons, and the corruption.2. Make sure we look reliable while doing 1.3. We should dispose of the golden desert eagle and katana, probably best to just put it into QB's possession for study and confinement. Also make sure Sayaka doesn't do anything stupid like try to take the katana for herself. Be sure to mention that the weapons have an annoying tendency to reappear in our possession so it doesn't look like we stole them back or anything.4. Explain to Iori fully how being a magical girl works and all the horrors of it. Make certain she isn't going to do something stupid like become a magical girl to fight with us.Any comments or objections?
>>19725167Before locking up the weapons we could tamper their usability in the right places. If we completely pour them into a brick case, they might just disappear and escape their cage. But if we tamper with the components, they have a better of chance of re-appearing, but tampered and unusable.
>>19725107Isn't Misaka in this quest sort of like Vlad from Max Payne? She's a crazy weapons dealer with a weird speech inflection and a dark sense of humour.I don't think we know enough about her yet. We get along with her and seem to have a history, question I keep thinking of is if she's the kind of person to treat information like a commodity, she might even have a price for information about us.Could just be meta and paranoia talking, but remember she wanted in on this mission partly as a favour and partly because she doesn't like Kirika.Point is, she's a good ally for now but we need more information before we make assumptions about her.
>>19725167Technically the debriefing was supposed to be in a few days.If you really want to tell QB as quickly as possible, it would be better to either catch him now as he's still talking with the helicopter team, or immediately the next day at the office.
>>19725207Do it while he's with the helicopter team. Tomorrow at the office is bad. See, something terrible might happen at dinnertime tonight.
>>19725159>>19725201I dunno, seems worth a shot but I think they'll magically just appear when we really need them, perfectly functional and ready no matter what we do to them.Fucking magic, how does it work?
Should we tell QB that Mami was the leak? We tried to lie earlier, but it didn't really seem like he bought it. We could reveal, but do it gently to minimize Mami's punishment. Rather not have Mami get retired simply because she tried to avoid bloodshed.
>>19725250We've never tampered with their usability before outside of unloading the ammo. It's worth a shot.
>>19725260No, don't tell that it was Mami. We need to redirect the investigation in a different way.
>>19725250That is the tricky question, innit?>>19725079I think it's fine if waifu scheming happens on a player level, so long as it doesn't enter to the character level. Idly conspiring about setting up a three way with Iori and Misaka could be amusing, so long as its left there.>Harem is a poor term for our relationshipsI agree. I think it's a poor term to use in general. It's not really related, but it's why I kept trying to push the term "family" in MSQ. Not that I really want to bring in MSQ bullshit.
>>19725271Actually I just realized, we're going to reveal PInky's involvement and Pinky did give Kirika the prediction about us killing her, so we can just blame the leak on Pinky. Kirika said she didn't believe the prediction, but no one needs to know that.
>>19725206We trust her enough to hand off a suit of space marine armor and weapons. It'd be hard to trust someone more then that in teh 21st century
>>19725206If we can't trust our technophiliac arms supplier, who can we trust?
>>197251671 and 2 are good, I think we should just give QB the Golds, no point in messing with them (fucking wizards man). Then >>19725295 as it's technically true
>>197251671, 2 and 3 seem pretty reasonable to me, though I'm a little hesitant about trusting QB on this matter, he might even try experimenting with the weapons and actually allow Sayaka to handle the sword. That said, I see the argument for being open about this possible incursion on his operation. Not happy with being open about it but it's probably for the best.4. However is a little more hard to swallow. Again it seems like it's for the best, but could have the opposite effect. Not sure how to handle it to be honest. Iori's in a dangerous state.
>>19725403I agreetell her it sucks balls. wave you detached arm around if you have too
>>197254034 will probably be difficult as I can easily see Iori making a contract to be with us as she's stated herself that we're all that she has now that the other idol is dead. Nevertheless, we should still at least try.One thing we need to lookout for is a possibility someone brought up in another thread: Iori wishing for us to become happy and the wish going grimdark and killing our emotions or something and leaving us an empty happy shell.
>>19725340>>19725298I think we can sort of trust her, I just won't be surprised if she turned out to tell some information we told her about or makes a power play much later on. Meta sense tingling.
