Tymora's tipple!!!! TG QUEST?!

Last thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/19678625/

When we last left our heroes, they had managed to get the Dimensional Stabilizers at the Vault online onto discover communications with Holtz and the Sector HQ were being cut off, and Yellowman sent a frantic transmission before vanishing. With their business concluded with the Vault, it's up to our Command Crew to decide where to go next, and what to do.

Day: 5
Current Objectives: ???

Fleet Location: "The Vault", TG UCAS base.

Inventory: http://pastebin.com/HGsJUZZb
Descriptions: http://pastebin.com/UpKiRZnh
>>
>>19715598
I'm voting that we form up and make best speed for Sector HQ. We need to find out what's causing the interference, and inform Holtz of the distortion fleet that's coming our way. We may need to start an emergency evacuation.
Also, he may have some Scout Ships or stealth ships to try to find Yellowman.

Let's get the Vault's Commander on the line, inform him of what's going on, and see if he needs anything else. If not, then we make the Jump.
>>
Let's see...
By my estimates, we have successfully installed the S2 Organ into Mecha-Godzilla, and 1 of the 2 Mad Cats has been equipped with a Lesser S2 Engine.
The Indefatigable has been repaired and its crew transferred back to it.

Have our magic users been able to figure much out concerning the TSAB Dimensional Ward formulae?
>>
Contact Sector HQ and tell them to go on alert. If they have a ship that can get there faster and/or sneakier than us, get them to go right now. If not, then we need to go there and rescue Yellowman.

All hands are to assume battle stations until further notice. Troops, gear up.

Oh! Check that Foreign Comm Unit and see if we can get anything off of it.
>>
>>19715863
They've managed to decipher how to cast it as a more traditional spell, and analyzed much of its makeup. Effectiveness, along with other odds and ends, are still being researched.

Your engineers were busy helping build the stabilizers, so no progress was made with their other projects for those four days. The science team, however, has managed to produce designs for a prototype Psi-Shield based on a synthesis of X-COM Psi-Shield technology, reality emitters, and some designs from the captured Covert Ops and Science Facility. The device generates a psionic dead zone in which ordinary psionics cannot function.

>>19715765
Base Commander Ferecelli thanks you profusely for your help, but says he and his men should be good now that the stabilizers are up and running.

If no one comes up with a different plan in 5 minutes, I will execute the warp to base.
>>
>>19715960
Before we make the transit, see if that Foreign Meta-Communicator we have is picking up any communications.

Concerning the Psi-Shield: is the Psi-Shield Research project finish? Did it open up any new research projects?

Finally, have the Terrans that we rescued come to a decision on what they want to do?
>>
Before warp go to battle stations!
>>
+1 vote for base plan
>>
>>19715960
MetaOP, don't forget that we determined last thread that all ships in the task force go to Yellow Alert and general quarters when we make Meta-Transit Jumps, as part of our new standard operating procedure.
>>
thinking about it. Perhaps we should trap the *you know who* first.
>>
>>19716033
The Quarantine Frame hasn't arrived yet.
And if it has, it's at Sector HQ. Either way, we can't contain the Oscar Romeo Zulu yet.
>>
rolled 61 = 61

>>19715993
The device is silent.

The project is finished, it did not open up any new routes of inquiry.

The Terrans in containment have...
>>
>>19716165
...half decided to join, the other half is still undecided. The scientists among them have quietly asked to be hired on, their loyalties not as hardwired as the others.
>>
>>19716058

Well at least if the Oscar Romeo Zulu *slide* somewhere else it won't be our fault that we failed to contain them there. It would just be our fault that that they are there in the first place.

Oh and Meta Op, I assume that our engineering bays were busy and we haven't upgraded anything yet.
>>
>>19716207

Whoops, I forgot to actually READ anything.
>>
>>19716165
Voting that we put the newly freed up science resources towards the Foreign Communicator; if we figure out their comm frequency and crack their encryption, we can listen in on the Distortion Fleet's comms.
>>
>>19716200
Is that the scientists and the workers have agreed to join, while the Marines, Ghost, and base commander are still undecided?
>>
Your ships get into formation and execute a transpace jump, arriving back at Sector HQ to find a small fleet of ships surrounding it. Most look battle-damaged, and they all register on your IFF as ships belonging to the Black Ops arm of the Transpace Guard. About half their number are docked, the rest orbit the station.
>>
>>19716308
Well, shit.
And here I was, hoping for 90% casualties just so we could go "We told you, bro".

Anyway, open a comm-channel to Colonel Eva. Tell her that we've secured the UCAS base, and we need to speak with Holtz about organizing a search and rescue for Yellowman.
>>
>>19716308
....
Alas the reminds of the fleet have returned.
Well they are either destroying the base, looking a scapegoats or even both.
>>
>>19716308
Well, contact the base as in >>19716329, and see about Yellowman.

Maybe see what's going on with Black Ops. We need intel on what they fought. I mean, numbers and weapons and shit...
>>
>>19716399
This is an opportunity to salvage the Black Ops wrecks they left behind when they escaped.
>>
>>19716399

I got the feeling that they are going to rope us into 'defending' the base, fire a shot if it look like we are attempting diplomacy with the enemies and the flee.

Anyways I think that the time for judgement is at hand. We will have to pick a side.
>>
>>19716329
The fleet is EXTREMELY smaller than the one you last saw amassing here.

Some of the ships begin to break off their orbit and align towards you.

You attempt to open a comm channel to Colonel Eva, only to wait a full minute before the connection is made, the comm-display showing an empty communications station, but plenty of people behind it.

Clearly caught in the display's view-area, at the base's main command bridge, are Colonel Eva and Sector Manager Holtz. Colonel Yurgus, flanking by four heavily armed operatives, has a gun trained on them. No one seems to be aware the channel has opened.

"...and I say that I DO have the authority," Yurgus replies. "Now give me the command codes."

"Kid, if you HAD the authority, you would've gotten NEW codes," Holtz shoots back. "And you sure as shit wouldn't be pointing a goddamn GUN at me."

"I'm pointing a gun at you because you are refusing to follow orders!" Yurgus shouts. "You might outrank ME, but my orders come directly from Director Machryn himself."
>>
>>19716536
Signal for the channel to be muted immediately.

"ANON, record everything on this channel, and this conversation. Full command authorization.
"ANON, cross-reference with Transpace Guard regulations: the Black Ops unit has illegally taken control of Sector HQ. They refuse to provide valid command authorization codes. We outrank them on the chain of command.
"Are we within our rights, and our duty, to consider these Black Ops forces as rogue elements no longer sanctioned by the Transpace Guard, and to retake control of Sector HQ?"
>>
>>19716536
"Even if that's true, you still need to have the right papers to prove it. We're the Transpace Guard, not a goddamn Khornite Warband. You can point that thing around all you want, you don't scare me a bit," Holtz shouts back.

"Hmmm. Annoying. I guess I don't," Yurgus replies, turning to Colonel Eva and shooting her in the gut. She falls back, a look of shock on her face before she collapses on the floor, bleeding heavily. Yurgus wordlessly turns the gun on Holtz.

>>19716585
"Under current law, you are authorized to retake the base. Recording..."
>>
>>19716652
Aproximate location of Holtz and Eva?
>>
Plan of attack:

Quickly check if teleport interdictors are in place. If they're not, begin teleporting people off the bridges and engine rooms of the ships into our Containment Bay (LOCK IT DOWN!). Also try and teleport Yurugrus and co. as well.

Psi-Matrix do a mass mind-stun on all of them; aimed primarily at the Black Ops crewmen we teleport out and the guys holding Holtz and Eva at gunpoint. Just short of coma-inducement.

Stun grenades EVERYWHERE that isn't Holtz/Eva's current position!
>>
>>19716652
Would it be possible to teleport a KI squad in and Eva out?
>>
>>19716683
>>19716652
In addition, have ANON ready to change the IFF on all Black Ops assets to HOSTILE as soon as we launch the attack.

Have Mouse, the Sandmen, the Deckers, and Data all ready to get into the Sector HQ computer mainframe and shut down all interdiction defenses.

Have Tosh telepathically inform all captains of all of our ships what is about to happen; we don't want Black Ops realizing we know that they've gone rogue until they're safely in the brig.
>>
>>19716652
If we're close enough, Vitun can cast Wooden Phalanx which would create 1d4+2 Advanced Wood Golems to serve as bodyguards. They could easily take down the Black Ops guys near the asshole.
>>
>>19716733
We have valid command codes, right? That should let our hackers into the base mainframe easier.

Also, what about Yew, our Rigger Hero, patching his drone control signal through the Nocturne's ECM and Drone Control systems, to take control of Black Ops fighters?
>>
Guys, we should get all of our combat troops ready to help in securing the base and repelling any boarders from the Black Ops fleet.
>>
>>19716780

In that case, we should prep the Securitrons for security data onboard our ships. Use our psychics to alert our personnel about the shit that's about to go down.
>>
>>19716762
>>19716687
The base is warded against teleportation, and Holtz had command codes for this base.

QUEST PAUSED. I'm being called away, be back in 30, hopefully.
>>
>>19716803

Er, security duty, that is.

Have our psychics also notify Tassadar and his fleet to prep for combat operations. Also suggest that Tassadar coordinate with Pellaeon to maximize our fleets' combined firepower if it comes to blows.
>>
>>19716825
Hmm...The base is warded against teleportation.
What about against ghosts?

We could have Gondegal go to the interdiction field generators and do a manual shutdown.
>>
When we're not in a state of emergency, we need to have Vitun teach a few of his crafting tricks to the techno-wizards.

I think they'd like "Impart Mind."
http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/i/impart-mind

I think all new Lacy Mana Panties would be able to talk.
>>
>>19716825

We might be able to send a psychic message to Holtz that we're here now, and that we could work on disabling the teleportation interdiction with the command codes. We could also tell him to stall for time while we do so, and perhaps reveal our presence on the comm channel if we need to distract Yurgus. If we can't get the codes or disable the

Although, I wonder if teleportation interdiction works vs. a Protoss Arbiter's Recall ability. It's more like opening a wormhole than true teleportation.
>>
>>19716958

(cont).

If we can't get the codes or disable the interdiction, though, we may have to board the station the old-fashioned way. How would we go about accomplishing this? Do you guys think it would be worth trying to talk down the Black Ops ships currently surrounding the station by broadcasting Yurgus' insurrection?
>>
>>19716825
What a terrible night for this, but responses might be erratic. Sorry.

Holtz's eyes narrow as Colonel Eva falls. A fire is there that was not before.

"Son, you just made a big mistake..." he whispers.

"Will you give me the codes?" Yurgus asks, leveling the gun at Holtz.

"Go fuck yourself."

Yurgus fires the gun again, Holtz is knocked down from the impact and the channel gets cut off as the Black Ops ships approach and hail.
>>
>>19717010
>>19717010

OP, would a Protoss Arbiter's Recall ability be able to pierce the interdiction around the base? If so, we may be able to get Holtz and Eva to a safe place by directing the Recall to one of our capital ships, or request that one of Tassadar's Arbiters enter one of our Capital Ships' bays and recall Holtz/Eva there.
>>
>>19717010
Well shit.

What are the Black Ops ships saying? And make sure that ANON is recording everything.

In the meanwhile, have Gondegal go over the base plans with Data. See if there's a way to get him there and shut down the interdiction generators.
>>
>>19717010
MetaOp, would a GATE spell be considered teleportation. If not, we have a way on board.
>>
>>19716984
Let's try it; see if the rest of Black Ops is on the same page as Yurgus.

Oh and, don't fight Black Ops fighter-to-fighter. We're outclassed.
>>
>>19717010

OP, how big is the Black Ops' fleet compared to our own? What ships are the fleet composed of?

Also, battle plans:

>1.) Who's going to be our boarding party?

>2.) Who's going to be repelling boarders on our ship?

>3.) Do we have any sort of teleportation interdiction on our ships?

For #2, we could probably use the Securitrons since there are so damn many of them.
>>
>>19717010

Respond to the hail from the ships. Let's see what they have to say.
>>
>>19717149
It doesn't exactly matter too much as the fact that they got R-90's up their sleeve. They basically have super-huge capital ships, but nothing the size of the AUH. They do out-size almost every other ship we have by 2x or 3x though.
>>
>>19717149
2. The Securitrons should work for that purpose.
3. The only anti-teleport measures we have are the regular shields. With them up, we should be immune to most teleport attempts.

As for 1:
First wave to secure a breach: Mobile Emitter Squad (Emergency Security Holograms) with Portable Holo-Emitter support generating holograms as needed, YVH Droid Platoon, led by HK-50. Right behind them is BLU Team, setting up sentries and dispensers.

Spy and Gondegal make their way down to the Interdiction Field Generators and do a manual shutdown while the breaching team gets everyone's attention.

Follow up with the Mobile Infantry, Knight Inductors, UNIT, Delta Greens, TG Soldiers. Star-Lord and Darius in the lead, with White Mage support, and Agrias, Lavian, Alicia, and Mustadio.

Third wave to prevent being out-flanked will be the rest of the ground troops.
>>
So... if we can't force our way through this, how will we deal with this situation? They don't know that we just witnessed what was going on. Yurgus is probably dumb/arrogant enough to order our destruction, but we have no idea if the Black Ops crewmen within the ships necessarily agree with him. They're probably well acquainted with his work, seeing as how they lost a significant part of their fleet.

If we have to talk them down, how do we go about doing that? The recorded communications could go a long way to swaying the more level-headed Black Ops members.
>>
>>19717252
We need Virtun and Douglas to do the talking with Black Ops.

At no point can we afford picking a fight with Black Ops in space right now. We haven't gotten IDs on all the ships yet, only the fighters attached (which already is bad news).
>>
>>19717252
Assuming that we can peacefully end this, we can tell them that Yurgus is just trying to cover his own ass for getting them killed.
He's broken regulations that even Black Ops follows, he's essentially going rogue and taking all them with him.
Do you know what they do to Black Ops assets that go rogue?
Let that mental image hang in the air for a bit.
>>
>>19717289
That would only work if we were facing actual Black Ops soldiers.
Unfortunately it seems pretty obvious that they were replaced by cartoonishly corrupt villains at some point.
>>

The Black Ops fleet is composed of eighteen Peregrine-class vessels, 1 Albatross-class battleship, 4 Aegis-class heavy cruisers, 2 Texas-class battleships, 4 unknown-type heavy transports, an unknown number of fighters and support craft, 6 Minotaur-class battlecruisers, and 2 Behemoth-class battlecruisers. Your advanced sensors also pick up a number of cloaked Caldari vessels, 4 Tengus.

"Task Force 38, power down your shields and weapons immediately! You are trespassing into a classified operation's conflict area! You will be boarded and searched. Do not attempt to resist or you will be fired upon!"

It may be worth to note that your protoss fleet is almost entirely cloaked by the Arbiters among them.
>>
>>19717322
How many Arbiters do we have out there?
>>
>>19717322
Get an ID on the fighters.
>>
>>19717322
"Black Ops task force, transmit your authorization code, or we will be forced to consider you engaged in illegal actions against the Transpace Guard and the legitimate chain of command.
"You have fired upon legitimate Transpace Guard personnel, you do not have the proper authorization codes, and you WILL be classified as rogue elements. Power down YOUR shields and weapons, or transmit your authorization command codes."
>>
>>19717322
MetaOP, have Tosh and Cheryl send a telepathic message to all of the captains in our task force, as well as to Tassadar, what's going on, "Elements of the Black Ops fleet have possibly gone rogue. They've shot Col. Eva and Holtz, and we may be forced to fight them."

And have the Psi-Matrix prepare a mass psionic stun attack against the Black Ops personnel.
>>
>>19717322
If we have enough Arbiters, we can chain Stasis them while we "loot" the fleet from these dumbasses.
>>
>>19717322

Notable ships: Albatross is from Macross. Texas-class battleships are WarShips from Battletech, Minotaur ships are new Terran BCs while Behemoth ships are old Terran BCs.

It might not be a good idea to try to engage in a protracted firefight. Or any firefight if at all possible.
>>
>>19717358
Most are probably in their hangars, you are only able to detect a few squadrons of Sparrowhawks flitting around the fleet.

>>19717374
"Our code is Kappa Alpha Nero Epsilon. All other information and codes concerning this operation are restricted. You have two minutes to begin power down of your systems or we will assume hostile action!"
>>
>>19717499
"ANON, verify that code. If it's even a second out of date, we will classify the Black Ops task force as rogue elements and take appropriate action."
>>
>>19717499
...ANON does that check out?
Because it seems like they just confessed to having betrayed the Transpace Guard and are currently employed by the rogue entity known as Kane.
>>
>>19717499
>>19717499

So when do we transmit footage of Holtz & Eva getting shot by Yurgus to determine their loyalty? And what do we do if we're unable to retake the base?
>>
>>19717499
Kappa Alpha Nero Epsilon..... It's KANE! Black Ops has been inflitrated by Kane! All hands to your stations! We may be going in hot!
>>
>>19717549
Do it right now.
While we verify their codes.
And have our entire task force telepathically warned that we're going to go to Red Alert in about 30 seconds.
>>
>>19717561
RELEASE THE GIANT MUTATED ANTS!
>>
>>19717561

Alright. Let's hammer out a battle plan then.

Gallente drones can probably serve as an anti-fighter screening force and point defense. The Nyx can help coordinate the drones and use that repair beam it has to make sure that our capital ships stay in healthy condition.

Not sure how big the Protoss battlefleet is, but it was big enough to warrant sending an entire Zerg Brood's forces plus a Protoss warfleet. Have Pellaeon get in touch with Tassadar and have them start coordinating our forces. A strike team of Scouts with strategic Arbiter Stasis on the huge capital ships should enable them to ravage most unshielded targets with ease.

Which capital ships should we prioritize to destroy? Those Starcraft battlecruisers' Yamato cannons can be devastating at long range. So can all of those WarShips' PPCs.
>>
>>19717499
K A N E.

Kane.

KANE, goddamnit. They've been compromised! Goddamnit.

Send the footage of Holtz and Eva getting shot to determine if any of them are still loyal and just kept in the dark.

If any of them respond with "what the fuck?!" mark their ships as neutral. Everyone else is to be assumed to be compromised.

ANON, note for the record that we are refusing this order from Black Ops units on grounds of suspicion of subversion. Any actions taken hereafter are done under that assumption until otherwise proven.

ALL HANDS, PREPARE FOR BATTLE. Paelleon, you have ship commands. Protoss, if you can be sneaky. All mecha, prepare to launch, but hold off until they fire the first shot. Teleporters, once the battle starts see if you can teleport out the attackers' power cores far away.

>essmtt massacre
Captcha thinks the code's bogus as well.
>>
>>19717608
>>Those Starcraft battlecruisers' Yamato cannons can be devastating at long range. So can all of those WarShips' PPCs.

Alright, deploy the R-Types. Cover then until they can charge their wave cannons. Make sure the Shadow Force devices are in front of the craft to absorb enemy fire.
>>
>>19717623
Seconding all of these fleet preparations.
>>
If this is all Kane I have only these two tHings to say:
HOW.
And: We should have seen this coming.
>>
>>19717322

>18 Peregrine Class

Star Trek Maquis vessels. Modified couriers to act more similar to an interceptor. Their base armament/shielding aren't too impressive from what I can tell from the Star Trek wiki, as they were mostly employed to fill up the lack of firepower the Maquis had. Heavy modification by Black Ops may make them more dangerous fighters. Correct me if I'm wrong.

>4 Aegis Class

From Gundam SEED. Has machine guns and missile bays as standard outfit. The mobile suits it deploys are probably more dangerous than the vessel itself. If we assume heavy modification, then it may have energy shielding or even phaser banks.

> 2 Texas-Class Battleships

From the Battletech canon. Huge Warship, sports flexible missile bays and has a notable medium-range armament. It also mounts 16 Naval Heavy PPCs; very dangerous at range and at any ships it can hit with its Naval Lasers and Naval Autocannons at medium range. May have to disable with fighters or bombers or sneakiness.

>transports, fighters, support craft

Assume Battletech Aerospace fighters, Gundam Mobile Suits, EVE fighters, converted transports to carriers, etc.

>6 Minotaur-class & 2 Behemoth-class

Starcraft battlecruisers. Minotaurs are newer, have lots rapid-firing close-range laser batteries and lots of armor, whereas Behemoths have one single laser that hits hard. May be outfitted with anti-fighter missile systems OR Yamato cannons. Extremely dangerous at range while their cannons are charged.

>Cladari vessels & 4 Tengus.

From EVE online. No idea how these things fight.
>>
>>19717759

>Caldari

Known for missile-boating and impressive shielding.

>1 x Albatross-class

Has MANY beam cannons, chaff pods, and fucktons of missile spamming ability.
Looks like we're fighting a starship equivalent of a Lyran Wall of Steel. We're going to have to be crafty about how we disable/destroy these vessels.

Those ECM valks we have could help out with defending us against missiles and messing up the Black Ops battlefleet. Their bubble should be able to extend pretty far while staying out of harm's way.
>>
ANON: "According to my information, the code is valid, but it should not be enough to authorize an operation of this magnitude. There should be additional codes."
>>
>>19717818
The ECM on the RVF-25 extends out for 1 light-day. I think we're covered in that regard.
>>
>>19717829
"ANON, transmit the video of Yurgus shooting Eva and Holtz.
"Black Ops task force. Your authorization code is incomplete, and your commander is going rogue. Either provide the complete authorization code, which you would have if this was a real Black Ops mission, or stand down. If you do not, then we will be forced to tag your ships as rogue elements and take appropriate action."

ANON, do any of the Black Ops ships have shields that will block our transporters? Are they within the base's interdiction field envelope?
>>
>>19717889
+1

Prepare for fighting. Have the Inde stealth out and be ready to do serious damage with it's torpedoes.

If this goes sour (and it probably will!), teleport out the power cores of the various ships AND mass mind-stun the crews. Drones screen, mecha reinforce screen, and once hostilities begin MechaGodzilla eyebeams and energy beams and all sorts of nasty shit at them.

They may have decent ships... But we have a Kaiju fuelled by an endless power source and WAY more guns.
>>
>>19717945
Speaking of MechaGodzilla.
Can the S2 organ augment MG's existing force field into a true AT field?
And can our Drone Rigger hero further boost MG's capabilities?
>>
>>19717945
>>19717889
Yes, as soon as Cheryl and Tosh send the telepathic warning to our task force captains that we may enter combat, have them get the Psi-Matrix together for a mass psionic assault.
>>
>>19717970
I'd rather not have MechaGodzilla's Space Force Field be turned into an AT Field. Sure an AT Field has utility, but the Space Force Field currently is pretty much indestructable.
>>
Should we give Holtz a True Resurrection?
Or is there a chance that being shot just made him angry?
>>
>>19718000
True, but can't an AT field be used defensively, while MG's force field means it is pretty much immobile? Or at least incapable of attacking?
It's been a while since I saw the movie.
Ideally, MechaGodzilla would have both.
>>
>>19718018
And by defensively, I meant offensively. Like I'm pretty sure the various Angels and even some Evas have weaponized it.
>>
>>19718018
I think it's incapable of attacking while it's up, and I agree. Both would be fucking awesome. The AT field there for constant protection and then the Space Force Field when SHIT IS GOING DOWN!
>>
We should also prep boarding teams (KI, MI, Sandmen, YVH Combat Droid Platoon, and others) the rest scrabble to repel boarders.

We should try to board (by teleport or stealth shuttle) the most dangerous ships which look like Albatross-class and the Texas-Class Battleships or the 6 Minotaur-class & 2 Behemoth-class.

Those we don't board we should try to Stasis.
>>
>>19717829

I vote we stall and ask for more codes. Even if they have them, we still can refuse on the principle of mutiny/murder of TG command staff of a location base.

"You are outside your operating powers with even that level of verification. Provide the correct codes to take command of a field outpost in an unstable sector or we will have to consider you to be in direct violation of TG law."

Get ready to broadcast the recording we just received to all the ships in the fleet denying the Black Ops have the correct authority. We consider this team to be rogue until proven otherwise based off the evidence in this video.

To friendly ships IMMEDIATELY:

"All TG ships, Black Ops is operating outside their permissions and has fired upon members of the unarmed command crew of the station. Any Black Ops vessel that does not stand down immediately after the fleet wide message is to be consider a hostile unit. Prepare for immediate combat. DO NOT ENGAGE UNTIL WE HAVE SENT THE SECOND SIGNAL"

To Black Ops (delayed as much as possible to buy time for the rest of the fleet):

"We have video of you attempting to overtake the command deck without proper codes. We have operating authority in this situation. Stand down or you WILL be considered a hostile force attempting to overthrow a TG installation. You have 10 seconds to comply."

Start coordinating the fleets. Set up communications with all non Black Ops ships. We are going to have to direct this cluster bomb of a battle.
>>
Hmmm... seeing as we're in space, I have a pretty nasty idea.
MechaGodzilla launches itself towards an enemy ship, with jets at full capacity.
Then it cuts the jets and activates its forcefield.
Due to being in space, MechaGodzilla should still be moving, effectively being turned into a giant invincible bullet.

Or in other words, "Sir Isaac Newton is the deadliest motherfucker in space."
>>
>>19718000
I think it just provides enough power that Mecha-Godzilla can power all of its systems at full power.
I still think we should put a shoulder-mounted nuke launcher on him.
>>
>>19718073

Suggestions for debate:

Ask Cheryl if she can mind stun as many people as possible. Preferably command crews of the Black Ops ships. I don't know if you can actually do that, but it would be really, really nice.

Farseers, check to see if there is a way out of this without killing everyone. Have Cheryl give you a physic boost if it will help. Barring that, start the divining the skeins for the safest route of our troops.

Trigger a silent red alert to all our assets. One way or another, this cold war is about to get rather toasty.

Move the R-Types into formation with Mechagodzilla. Use the Shadow Force devices to block enemy fire.

http://rtype.wikia.com/wiki/Shadow_Force

>>Upon reaching Level 2, The Shadow Force gains a Shadow Unit. This small indestructible satellite unit fires in a direction opposite of where the R-90 is flying; skilled pilots can use this mechanic to make precision, otherwise impossible, shots. A Shadow Unit is slowly drawn towards the Force; if given long enough, it will align itself and fire forward as a default. Level 3 grants another Shadow Unit, but the firing pattern doesn't change. This Force recalls itself to the R-90 faster than most other Forces.

>Gallente Task force (see on inventory on pastebin)

Gallente ships are known for their sensor dampeners which baffle long-range targeting, especially missiles. They also have lots of armor, heavy blasters which shred stuff at short range, and railguns which can accurately blast targets at long range. DROOOONES can also help out with point defense and taking out cruisers, depending on their weight class. I could spend 8 hours studying the EVE wiki and still have no idea how these things really compare. If someone's more versed in this, have at it.

>Gallente supercarrier "Nyx"

According to this one guy in a previous thread, the Nyx-class can tank lots of hits, give bonuses to drones/fighters, and also has a repair beam that it can use to transfer shielding/armor from itself to damaged vessels. No idea how this works, never played EVE.

> 3x Star Destroyers

Star-wars shit. The Relentless is an updated Victory-II, whereas the Valiance and the Guardian are older Imperial-class. From the weapon descriptions, these seem to be close-to-medium range brawlers that can chew up sub-capital ships (but not fighters). They also have tractor beams.

>1x Super Star Destroyer

The AUH. Like the regular Star Destoyers, but ramped up like 100x.
>>
>>19718091

>TGS Cruiser

The Storm! Has long-range capabilities with Railguns and long-range laser batteries. Has also decent close-range offensive capabilities with the Singularity Lasers and Hellbore Cannon Turrets.

>Hiigaran Shipyard

Keep out of combat! Constructs ships, but not sure if it could do so safely within combat.

>Protoss Battlegroup

Iunno. Scouts are murderous close-range fighters, Carriers have a slower-charging but very devastating long-range main gun but are mainly there for interceptors. Arbiters can freeze large vessels and recall shit and cloak shit. If they have Corsairs, these are very effective anti-fighter vessels. Disruption nets from the Corsairs may also disable weapon systems on larger capital ships.

As it stands, extreme long-range fire from the 2 Texas-class and the 8 Starcraft Battlecruisers, combined with fuckhueg missile spam from Caldari vessels/Macross Albatross are the biggest threat to our capital ships. We dunno how many fighters they have, and we don't have much in the way of point defense aside from what the Gallente have.
>>
>>19718103
We can use the Shadow Forces to take down/absorb the missile spam.

That, or we go to the "shield MG with forces" plan.

"As suspects under investigation, you are not authorized to receive those codes. Colonel Yurgus gave Sector Manager Holtz a legitimate order to turn control of the base to him and he refused. We are taking command of this sector. You WILL stand down, or you WILL be destroyed."
>>
>>19718103
The Texas-class and Battlecruisers are not normally equipped with shields, and so we may be able to simply beam their power cores out of them, or simply beam the entirety of their crews away.

As for the missile spam, the missiles have to be able to get a lock, and we have a lot of ECM.
The RVF-25 and the Nocturne, Nyx-class Supercarrier, as well as the Gallente Task Force, all have very powerful ECM systems.

Hell, with our Yew, our Rigger Hero, routing his signal through the Nocturne, we might be able to use his Harbinger and Puppeteer abilities together to take direct control of the missiles launched at us, and turn them against our enemies.

"You will either transmit those codes or we will be forced to tag you all as traitors."

Prepare for battle based upon the plans we have outlined.

Have Cheryl and Tosh contacted Pellaeon, Tassadar, and the other captains of our task force?
>>
Should we transmit Yellowman's signal as well, and say something like
"We have strong reason to believe otherwise."
>>
>>19718144

Looks like they're not gonna back down...

>>19718155

We could have the Gallente task force deploy their remote sensor dampeners to shield us from most missile spam and interfere with long-range targeting. For laser weapons and railguns, though, the aiming probably won't be *that* difficult seeing how large some of our ships are.

For small-scale space fighters, we got 12 TIE defenders, 12 VF-25s, 24 Solvalou Fighters, 12 FIRE LEO-02 Exceliza fighters, 1 Galaga-class fighter, 6 Vic Viper class fighters, Slippy and Falco in Arwings, Char in the Gaia Gear Gundam, and a replacement pilot for the Hyaku Shiki. No idea how the Brasta performs in space, and I don't think it would be wise to deploy the Swordfish.

Should the Hiigaran shipyard be pumping out fighters or corvettes or what?
>>

That is not Trans Space Guard protocol, if you do not proved correct codes we will assume hostile actions in 5 minuets. (we attack in one minuet)

We would have been called and told to return to base if this way a legitimate operation. Now transmit the proper codes, or be designated as rogue units. We WILL defend ourselves otherwise."

Let them fire the first shot! So if anyone asks we're in the clear.

Also, try not to kill all of them. We need to get to the bottom of this.

>>
>>19718233
The Hiigaran Shipyard should stay in the rear for now, and basically act as a fast repair bay.

ANON, we still need that assessment on the effectiveness of our transporters; did Black Ops upgrade their ships with shields that can stop our transporter beams?
>>
>>19718144

Well, so much for stalling. How does this sound?

"I was under the impression, commander, it was generally operating procedure to ARREST resisting elements unless they were attacking you. Especially if they are unarmed NON COMBATANTS. While you may or may have been running a legitimate operation before firing that shot, you certainly aren't now. This video is clear proof of a direct violation of TG operating law. What is your response to that? And opening fire would be a very cliched answer. Protocol requires a complete stand down on all activities while this is sorted out. Preferably before we start wasting what precious few assets we have left in an internal squabble. And, in case you were wondering, handing over power to unauthorized personnel with incomplete codes DOES NOT count as properly standing down. So I humbly suggest you sit quietly for a bit while we get someone else to confirm your operations."

>>19718082

Any word on these while we plan the next move? I mostly want to know if we have time for skeins or not. Signs point to no, but ANY intel right now would be very, very useful.
>>
Four cloaked Tengu's eh? I'm sure our Gallente Navy Task force has plenty of experience against those things. Our sensors caught their cloak, so we can have our Gallente Navy Comets warp right on top of their location, and the ship proximity alone will forcibly disable their cloak. The Comets then "tackle" the Tengus, meaning hitting them with Stasis Webifiers and Warp Disruptors. Right after the Comets land, send in the Myrmidons and Brutix's after the Comets, and let them unleash their Drones and Anti-Matter blasters at point blank. The real kicker is before this, we assign the Nyx's Fighter Drones to the Comets. This isn't overkill, T3 Cruisers are more expensive than Battleships, and can take more damage, depending on how they are built.

Have the Dominix trio form a defensive logistics repair chain centered on the Astarte Command ship, activate fleet statboosting modules. Put the Nocturne right behind the All Under Heaven while providing the AUH with remote Shield repair support. The other ships of the Gallente Navy Task Force can be used to supply drone and Railgun Artillery support to our remaining fleet.

If any of the Black Ops ships gets uppity and starts laying down some hurt, use the Nocturne's AoE ECM Burst to break it's lock for 20 seconds. It has a 5 minute cooldown though, so use it wisely. http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Remote_ECM_Burst_I
>>
>>19718416
P.S. Only do this if negotiations with BlackOps breaks down and fleet action is required.
>>
>According to this one guy in a previous thread, the Nyx-class can tank lots of hits, give bonuses to drones/fighters, and also has a repair beam that it can use to transfer shielding/armor from itself to damaged vessels. No idea how this works, never played EVE.

It actually doesn't transfer armor and shields, despite the module description, it uses energy from the ships capacitor reservoir to regenerate the targets armor and shields. Capital sized modules do it in insane amounts, and Carriers and Supercarriers are made for using these instead of normal weapons. So the Nocturne doesn't have any Railguns or Blasters of it's own, but it repairs the hell out of allied ships in exchange.

I was really hoping to use the "If you had legitimate orders, then you would have been given legitimate authorization command codes!"

Anyway, MetaOP, what about the other items that we asked about?
Like the telepathic messages to our task force captains so as to not give the Black Ops task force forewarning by seeing bursts of communication.

Or getting the members of the Psi Matrix ready for a psionic storm?

Or if the Black Ops ships look like they're upgraded from the original specs, and if they're within the base's interdiction field?
>>
>>19718416
Continued, the Dominix logistics chain will be the center of our defensive line. The All Under Heaven will be the point of our offensive wedge. The defensive line will be close behind the offensive wedge, just close enough that the offensive wedge can unleash hell on any part of the enemy fleet that tries to attack the defensive line. Combined with the Nocturnes Capital Logistics modules and the Dominix Logistics chain, we get remote repairs done on the offensive wedge. Once the Comets, Battlecruisers and Fighters waste the four cloaked Tengus, which may or may not have bomb launchers, we let them run interference and picket lines on the enemy fleet, as well as a reserve force for any tricks the Black Ops fleet tries.

The ships are almost certainly upgraded, the telepathic messages went out without a hitch, and your psychics are prepared to attempt to stun the crews of the ships. They won't be able to get more than one or two. Do you have a specific target for them?

An alarm sounds as ANON appears onscreen.

ANON: "Warning! Computer systems being compromised by unknown entity! Security systems active and attempting countermeasures! Intrustion attempts detected on fire control, comm/scan, life support, and primary datastore. Intruder ejected from life support. Life support systems locked down."

Even if I put that aside, your reckless 'handling' of the Orz threat here would be enough to investigate. And finally, even if I ignored those points, your close association with rogue elements like Holtz and Yellowman would mark you as potential enemies of the Guard. Put them all together, and here we are."
>>
>>19718690

Get Mouse and the Sandmen on purging that virus. Have our ornery white mage chick prepare "that counts as healing right?" for use on the Storm's computers.

Bullshit.
If capturing and neutralizing SUEs are illegal, than someone would have told us.
The canon was free of reality distortions, which is all we were hired to do.
And while admittedly we handled our encounter with the Orz poorly, I don't see what relevance that has to our current situation. Looking at how much bigger your fleet used to be, I don't think you have much of a leg to stand on when it comes to bungling.
Also Holtz and Yellowman are rogue elements now?
Says fucking who?
Every base commander we've met seems to respect the both of them.
>>
>>19718690
Shit.

"ANON, get those systems back online! Data, Mouse, Isel; assist ANON. We need those systems up now! Psi-matrix, inform the rest of the task force we've been partially hacked. Paelleon has command if they fire weapons."

Try and determine the source of that intrusion.

"Incorrect. Our orders were to NEUTRALIZE THEM. Capturing is a form of neutralization. We submitted regular reports on the SUEs we had captured to the upper echelons of the Guard, and had received NO ORDERS TO DESIST OR TERMINATE. And you STILL have not explained what Holtz and.. Wait.. What about Yellowman?"
>>
And we just found our mole gentlemen. Any bets on who it was?

My money is on one of the new recruits from the last resupply. That one guy seemed way too competent.

Either way, check for anything being taken. Data, specs, tech, whatever. Engineering probably has been compromised, so get that is lock down. Try and see if the arbiters can do a dimensional recall on the escape pod. Barring that, ask Cheryl to mind crush the son of a bitch that just tried to hamstring us and (probably) steal all our research.

If any of our ships can get a lock on the pod, teleport it into containment for questioning later. At this point, I want to deny them data more than anything. My assumption is that whoever did this was not able to transmit anything substantial yet and has most of the files on his person since ANON didn't detect any unauthorized transmissions. Once ANON is not trying to fight viruses we can try to confirm that.

Would one of our shadow runners be of much use here? Throwing a few machine spirits into the system to help combat the attack would be really helpful right now. I can't remember if we got a technomancer or not. I know there was a rigger, but I am not sure how much he will be able to do here.

"And finally, your authorization code? KANE? Really? You couldn't figure that out? Are you fucking retarded? We're from motherfucking EARTH! We're free of the blinders of the Meta! Rogue Elements? We were stationed here! We were literally the ONLY forces in this sector it had to draw from when everything went to hell! If there was something about sector transfers, nobody sure as hell told us!

So, any plans on what to do with the hostile AI in our ship's main computer?

We could try a manual reboot, wipe, and restore from secure backup.
>>
>>19723757

We could attempt to get a boarding party to wherever the main CPU is located and try to have Elaine heal it. Since the Life Support systems are locked down and online, we don't have to worry much about explosive decompression or stuff like that.

Unfortunately, those low rolls are going to KO our hackers or do something even nastier to them. We can assume that Vol Opt is going to take control of weapons systems and other fun stuff and start taking potshots at our own fleet.
>>
The main problem is that while we are dealing with the A.I. the storm is vulnerable and the fact is that this one cyber attack has crippled the command crew.

Should we make contingency and send a message to evacuate non-essential personal?
>>
>>19724083
I think that would be premature.
Yes, the comms of the Storm has been knocked out, but we have telepaths.
Yes, the shields on the Storm are down, but we have plenty of other capital ships that can soak up damage.

Until we get control of the Storm back, we simply tell Admiral Pellaeon to move the flag of the task force to the All Under Heaven.
>>
Is the Oncoming Storm immune to ion weaponry?
If we're worried about it shooting our forces, we could have Pellaeon open fire, which would mean Vol Opt would be neutralized.
>>
>>19724801

That is something to consider. Disable the Storm, beam up personnel to the AUH, and try to recover it later after Black Ops is dealt with. Assuming that the AUH and the other ships aren't dealing with E-Warfare of their own. We also might want to have the EW Valks we have to set up that ECM bubble of theirs to prevent further hacking, if at all possible.
>>
>>19724801
As a last resort, we could do that. If Vol Opt is stupid enough to keep the shields down, then we would be able to have the All Under Heaven, Valiance, Guardian, and Relentless knock out the Storm's systems. That should provide our troops onboard the opportunity they need to perform a full purge of the central computer core, and do a system restore of ANON from secure backup, then reboot all systems.

Of course, all of this assumes that we don't lose all of our hackers completely due to the 15 we rolled.
>>
>>19726695

If we're feeling lucky (hah), we can use "Good Fortune", which allows us to reroll something if we haven't been shown the result. However, we must accept the results of the roll even if it is worse than the original roll.

We used this once before in a diplomatic situation and it didn't help.

>>
>>19727940
Well, he has the Will power to do so. it's just a question of did our engineers manage to put in some Minor S2 organs to power it, and rig up a control module so someone without the Ancient Technology Activation Gene can use it.

If they did, we can very easily assrape the Black Ops with it, considering that the Ancient Drone weapons completely ignore Armor and Shielding.
>>
>>19727733

I'm reading the rules and I don't see any wording that says that the Cleric has to be the one doing the roll. And if Vitun was close enough to bestow the double-roll for the hackers, couldn't he also do the same for Good Fortune?

>>19728196
Here are the two spells.

Bit of Luck (Sp): You can touch a willing creature as a standard action, giving it a bit of luck.

Good Fortune (Ex): At 6th level, as an immediate action, you can reroll any one d20 roll you have just made before the results of the roll are revealed. You must take the result of the reroll, even if it's worse than the original roll.

Belthasar is going to be so fucking mad.

"Mouse! Make sure that those records stay intact, we need that evidence.
"Lyla, Elaine, medical emergency!

White mages to get the Deckers and riggers healed so they can jack in again.

Have the RVF-25 and Nocturne and Gallante task force fire up ECM.
>>
>>19728371

Have the EW-Valks activate their ECM bubbles and generally stay out of trouble for the fight. The ECM bubbles should help to jam any further attempts to hack/scan our fleet, and may help to baffle targeting. The Gallente Task Force should also start deploying remote sensor dampeners as well.

I think it goes without saying that the fleet should go to full battle stations and start to enact any plans that Pellaeon and Tassadar have cooked up.

Have someone Rez the Decker if it isn't too later.

Have Vitun cast this spell.
http://paizo.com/pathfinderRPG/prd/ultimateCombat/spells/joltingPortent.html

The creature you designate is surrounded by a glowing red aura of vengeful fate. Once per round when the target makes an attack or casts a spell, it must succeed at a Fortitude saving throw with a DC = 10 + 1/2 caster level + Charisma (in the case of oracles) or Wisdom (in the case of clerics). If the target fails the saving throw, it takes 4d6 + your Charisma modifier (in the case of oracles) or Wisdom modifier (in the case of clerics) electricity damage. It takes no damage on a successful saving throw. You can dismiss this spell as an immediate action when its subject confirms a critical hit to negate the critical hit and daze the creature for 1 round. The attack still hits its target and deals normal damage. The effects of the daze occur after the attack.

This should allow Mouse to have a fighting chance while the enemy erases itself from electrical damage.

"Gotcha you sonnuvabitch!" Mouse snarls, his eyes distant. "Boss... Chased him out of comm/scan! That's locked down, so the fleet's communications are secure, it can't jump to any other ships! Still working on the rest..."

Your fleet's observers spread out and take watch positions, continually relaying the locations of the cloaked Tengus as well as swarms of Wraiths that eject from the battlecruiser's hangar bays.

One of the Behemoths suddenly stops advancing as Cheryl and the other psychics let out a collective gasp.

"We managed to stun everyone aboard, but that took a lot out of us..." Cheryl wheezes. "They have some nasty wards up... I think we can manage one more ship, though, if you want us to."

Your R-types begin scrambling along with the VF-25s, Tie-Defenders and other fighters as Mecha-Godzilla begins its launch sequence.

The remaining Battlecruisers lock on to a trio of Tassadar's Carriers, unleashing Yamato blast after blast that tears apart two of them and leaves the third heavily damaged.

Elaine begins rushing to the computer core, escorted by two Knights Inductor as the alert comes up all across the fleet.

Your Securitrons begin encountering the boarders, sinister figures in powered armor with a large variety of energy weapons. The battle is joined the minute they come into sight, lasers and missiles turning corridor after corridor into twisted metal death mazes. The sheer size of the All Under Heaven, and the built in defenses of the Storm help to contain the enemy, but a final garbled transmission from the Imperial-II Star Destroyer Valiance shows an enemy assault team teleporting onto the ship's bridge and opening fire on the crew. The Valiance begins to float lazily in space as the Guardian reports intruders as well. Your Al'Keshes frantically work to beam Securitron reinforcements to those ships.

The Gallente Task Force begins scrambling the sensors on whatever enemies come within their range as their Comets soar right next to the cloaked Tengus and reveal them, webbing them with stasis modules as the Gallente focus on the foe they best know how to fight.

As they do this, your fighters form up just in time to be contacted by waves of Guarlions, Wraiths, and Ghost X-9s.

The two waves of fighters clash in a vicious dogfight. Almost immediately on contact several Solvalous get shredded by autocannon fire from the Ghost X-9s. Simultaneously, four of your FIRE LEOs are lost acting as screens for your R-types while their cannons charge. The retaliation from your units is disheartening ineffective, the Ghost X-9s evading most of the attacks on them with advanced ECM and extreme maneuverability, while the Wraiths use a displacement field hooked into their cloaks.

The battle heats up between your capital ships. The Gallente Task Force and the Nyx are tying up the Tengus, but the formidible cruisers must have experienced pilots. Though all are taking heavy damage, not a single one is destroyed yet, and 4 of your Navy Comets have been reduced to scrap metal. One of the Minotaur Battlecruisers heads towards your clusters of fighters, firing its small laser cannons as point-defense guns and taking out several TIE-Defenders. The other battlecruisers focus their fire on the Relentless. The Victory-II's shields begin to fail under the concentrated barrage as two Vexors detonate under sustained long range missile and NPPC fire from the Texas and Aegis vessels.

The Albatross begins firing long range beam cannons at the Guardian, the Star Destroyer's shield power levels dropping alarmingly as several direct hits are taken.

Mecha-Godzilla successfully launches, blasting towards one of the enemy's Behemoths like a blazing comet. Several fighter attempt to intercept him only to find their weapons completely useless against the robot's force field.

Cheryl and Douglas encounter a boarding party on their way to the Tria, but between their own powers and their droid escort make beary short work of them. They successfully reach the ship.

Losses from your Securitrons continue to mount as they are steadily pushed back from the Guardian and Valiance, and only manage to hold the line in the AUH and the Storm. Star-Lord and Darius are requesting permission to get into the fight.

Elaine has reached the computer core and is beginning to cast her beefed up OmniEsuna. At the same time, Mouse furiously attempts again to lock out the weapons systems as the Storm's singularity lasers slice through a Protoss Arbiter, revealing a large part of the warfleet to enemy fire.

A bolt of electricity cascades from Mouse as Vitun's spell goes off, wrecking the computer console he was working at. Mouse blinks. "What the hell was that?! Quick..."

As Mouse scrambles for a new console, Elaine continues to channel her Esuna. Slowly but surely, ANON's image begins to overwrite the alien face dominating your monitors.

"I dunno what El's doing, but it's helping!" Mouse yells, merging his hand with a new computer and jacking back in. "Weapons are locked down! Just need to boot him from the grid, now!"

MechaGodzilla slams into one of the Minotaur battlecruisers, disappearing into its hull as a huge hole in its side is made. The ship begins to move and fire erratically a few moments later as explosions begin to jet out from within its armor. At least once, multicolored beams of light melt through the armor and lance upward as unseen havoc is wrought inside the vessel.

If we decide to ECM burst a capital ship, that one Minotaur-class cruiser shredding our fighters may be a good choice. If the Albatross and/or Texas cruisers aren't getting stasis'd, then the Albatross would be a good choice as well.

"HOW?!" he roars. "It was CONTAINED!!!!"

The missile salvo detonates in mid-flight as some sort of ECM defense causes them to explode early. The turbolaser barrage deals heavy damage to the cruiser, however.

Cheryl seems to be having no luck with awakening the drones, but she keeps at it.

The Valiance has been almost completely secured by the boarders at this point, and it's beginning to turn towards the rest of the fleet.

Black Ops, begone!
>>

Have an Arbiter toss up a Stasis field on the Valiance. Vitun may be needed for luck rolls on the bridge. That should buy us some time until we can deal with Vol Opt.
>>
>>19730738
Concentrate Securitron reinforcements to the Valiance!
Take back the bridge and the engine room!

Have the Indefatigable take out the Minotaur with support from Mecha-Godzilla.

Have the R-Types fire on the Peregrines.

Authorize use of Death Blossom on Pellaeon's command.

On the Storm itself, have Agrias, Alicia, Lavian, Mustadio, and Gondegal join the fight to repel boarders with Lyla and a White Mage squad supporting them.
Have the other White Mages in Medical helping to heal the injured.
>>
Someone, stop those fucking Ghosts from ripping up everyone!
>>
>>19730789

Although... Vitun could summon some Archons for use on the Storm or AUH.
>>
>>19730884
Archons can teleport at will.

If we summon them here, they can go to the valience and reinforce the troops that are left by teleporting there.
>>
>>19730879
We can have the VF-25's try to interdict the Ghosts with Guidance from the Farseers.

I wish we had gotten those VF-25 plans into the Creation Engines, so we could have a instantly respawning squadron.

Waiting for OP.

If Tassadar's Carriers are close enough, have them deploy interceptors to join the dogfight. If High Templars are available, have them start to put up psionic storms concentrated on the Minotaur at our fighter lane. Alert our fighter pilots about areas where psionic storms will be occurring.

I kinda want to put psionic storms where enemy fighter concentrations are, but that might hit a lot of our own guys. If the Farseers use a combination of "Guide" and "Fortune" for our fighters and the high templars, this could potentially wreck a lot of enemy fighters. It'd take a lot of psionic coordination, however.

In addition to everything already ordered, have the Hiigaran Shipyard and the Hercules also provide repairs to the Protoss fleet.

Ships that are damaged should fall back for repairs. The Hercules might not be able to construct space ships, but the repair Scarabs can still repair them.
Also, if the Shipyard can, have it construct ion cannon and flak defense turrets to help bolster the defenses of the fleet.

The R-types open fire with their wave cannons in one perfectly executed volley, huge beams of energy slamming into the enemy's battlecruisers and coring through them. Both the Behemoths and the Minotaurs are hulled and dead in the water, if not exploded to pieces by the fierce assault. Shortly after this Pellaeon gives a familiar command.

"Death Blossom."

Shrouded by an allied Arbiter, the Gunstar emerges from hiding right on top of the enemy mass of Ghosts, unleashing its trade-marked Death Blossom in an orgy of laser blasts, missiles, and explosion after explosion. The enemy fighter teams are devastated by this unexpected assault, allowing the FIRE-LEOs and VF-25s to press the attack.

"Got it!" Mouse chortles in triumph. "Weapons locked down again!"

However, three Myrmidons from the Gallente go critical and explode as the Texases alter their fire. The Protoss Fleet begins to move forward, swarms of Carrier Interceptors punching holes through enemy Peregrines with their plasma guns.

Right. Have the Fire LEOs switch to their Hunter weapon; should allow them to fire-and-forget while constantly harassing anyone who gets close.

Bloody hell those Tech3 Tengu Cruisers are more resilient than I remember. They must be using Officer Modded everything to still be alive.

Right. Have the Fire LEOs switch to their Hunter weapon; should allow them to fire-and-forget while constantly harassing anyone who gets close.

Have the R-9S continue charging up another Wave Cannon barrage (but this time, they should fire in a rotating sequence instead of a volley). The other R-9's should focus on protecting with the Shadow Force's additional firing.
>>
>>19731084
Once ready, the R-Types should probably take out those Texases, while the Inde and Mecha-Godzilla take out the Tengu's.

As one of the Tengus finally explodes under the Gallente fleet's fire, the Albatross begins to lumber deeper into the fray, its beam cannons firing into the Protoss lines as reaction missiles begin to chew away its heavy armor.

>>19731000
Damaged Protoss vessels begin to limp towards the Shipyard as the Hercules begins manufacturing repair drones for the Guardian, whose shields have failed and is taking hull damage.

Vitun begins summoning Celestial allies as your Securitrons attempt to flood the Valiance in a desperate attempt to win back the ship.

>>19730937
The VFs begin going after the Ghosts, leaving the FIRE-LEOs alongside the Scouts, Corsairs, TIE-Defenders, and the Galaga to handle the Wraiths.

Mecha-Godzilla, sink that Albatross.

Indefatigable, use your beam arrays to destroy enemy fighters and tranaporters to beam away their pilots.

Ground troops to continue repelling boarders.

How about covering fire for MechaGodzilla with the Absolute Zero Cannon? It'd also hopefully make it easier for the Big MG to blast it.

"Got it!" Mouse finally cheers. "Got the bastard! All systems are clear! We can fight again!"

The Gaia Gear rips through another squadron of Guarlions as the Brasta acts as its wingman. Though both are beginning to take damage, they are managing to steadily whittle down the enemy mech force.

>>19731130
A pair of photon torpedoes followed by a phaser blast is sufficient to finish off one of the damaged Tengus as Mecha Godzilla swings around to fire its eye beams and finger missiles at the other. Already on the verge of destruction from the sustained Gallente attack, this one too, detonates. The fourth suddenly ceases all activity as escape pods begin to jettison from it, followed by a particular large pod recognizable as a Capsule.

A pair of enemy Guarlions sonic-breaker through the shield generators of the Guardian, the ship beginning to suffer heavy damage. Its captain begins to align it for retreat towards the Shipyard as the All Under Heaven fires its guns at the four Aegises, melting through their hulls and detonating the stockpiles of missiles and munitions within. The four cruisers go up in a dazzling display of deadly pyrotechnics.

Long-range sniping with the Absolute Zero Cannon?
We don't want the Mikasa getting into the fight because we haven't equipped it with shields yet.

Indefatigable, provide cover for the Guardian as it falls back for repairs.

Mecha-Godzilla, attack and sink that Albatross.
>>
>>19731448
Yeah. I'm hoping it'll act like a Reflex Cannon and at least half freeze anything near it when it fires, and if we're lucky it'll hit the Albatross

Brasta: Stick to the pistol + grenade launcher with the occassional Bayonet Spiker maneuver

How's the Hyaku Shiki repairs coming along?
>>
>>19731444
Comets don't you dare let that Capsuleer warp off, webs and scrams on it! If he tries to reboard the Tengu, give the Comets and one Brutix permission to pop it. The rest of the Gallente fleet, warp to the Protoss fleet and assist.

And give our heroes and squads permission to engage hostile boarders as they see fit, unless otherwise ordered.

The Comets comply, holding the capsule fast as the rest of the Gallente forces begin to target the Albatross.

The R-types charge up again, attempting to down the Texases...
>>
>>19731830
The Gallente forces pound down the Albatross shields as Mecha-Godzilla flies into it like a bullet, rending, tearing, and blasting the ship's superstructure as the powerful beam cannons fail to crack the mecha-kaiju's armor. The ship is destroyed a mere moment later.

The R-Types manage to destroy the Texases, but preoccupied by the capital ships, several enemy fighters managed to pierce the fighter screen around them, destroying a flight of 3 Grace Notes.

The four transports wink out of existence as the last Texas falls, apparently having readied an emergency warp-jump all this time.

And that's all for tonight. Boarders will be resolved on Friday.
>>
>>19731865
We must make sure to recover the evidence of Black Ops taking over the Storm and firing the first shot.
Those transports are going to report to High Command with their version of the story.

We could see if Elaine can "heal" the missing recorder data from ANON. If she can cast Esuna to purge a virus from a CPU data core, then perhaps she might be able to act as a sort of system recovery for the recorder. There's also one Tengu-class cruiser that launched those escape pods, and maybe a handful of intact fighters still flying around. {erhaps the recording is still saved on a cache or something on their hailing records.
>>
We're going to need to get a lot of the fighter designs into the Creation Engine after this fight to replenish our losses.
At least all of the fighter pilots were implanted with EBO Cortical Stacks.

I wish we had been able to implant the regular crew members of the Valiance as well.
Hopefully with Vitun and the White Mages we'll be able to recover most of the crew.
