Name me one monster in pathfinder that an airship armed with all cannons and the proper ammo won't make short work of
Shadow
wizard
Fighter with fullplate and a tower shield.
>>19681790no he dies pretty quick
>>19681713Sentient airship with all cannons and proper ammo.
>>19681801What would be the CR for that? That sounds fucking terrifying
Dwarves. Dwarves with golems and underground roads and shit.
>>19681830nah man the bombs would fuck their caves up
>>19681816A colossal animated object filled with animated siege weapons. Go from there.
colossal swarm of..
Tarrasque.
>>19681839>implying they haven't reinforced all the tunnel systems with marble and steel. Also the dwarves have a literal underground railroad and their own airships.Get on their level, pleb
>>19681839>implying implication that dwarven strongholds will collapse to couple of bombs
>>19681854>a colossal swarm of>>19681853>TarrasqueYeah that'll fuck an Airship up pretty quick,I wonder what the CR is on that?
Under pathfinder rules how can we get an airship with 40 large sized siege weapons?
Well, the largest airship in Pathfinder according to Ultimate Combat can hold up to three large siege weapons per side. With each cannon dealing 6d6 damage, the airship could focus 18d6 of damage per round at a single target. A large around of monsters around CR 15 and up could probably take it easily, possibly lower with magically dickery such as Mirror Image.
Drider infestation under a big city.Cat boys.
>>19681928BOMBS. Bomb rounds double the damage. Enchanted bombs. Coming from enchanted cannons.
>>19681892The Tarrasque is something like 26 CR. Without magical bullshit or Wasteland Warrior, you're not killing it. Remember that Find City Nuke where you could do thousands of d6's worth of damage? Someone did the math. It takes the Tarrasque all of a half day if I recall correctly to regenerate that damage.
>>19681950Like alchemist bombs or something else? I'm not seeing them under siege weapons.
>>19681965If you can plane shift the tarrasque it's not really an issue. Send it to the positive energy plane and it will cease to exist.
>>19681713A blimp orc
>>19681991my bad i was looking at the ones for catapults.
>>19681995Except no. It'll just lie dormant. It'll effectively be dead, but it's still there. Waiting. Also I think it may be immune to that.
>>19681995Doesn't work. Every world must have 1 tarresque. You plane shift it, a brand new one just pops into existence. Nothing short of wish actually removes the tarresque.
>>19682011It's not, but cracking that SR 36 will be a bitch.
>>19682011No, it dies up there. It's own healing gets used against it. Only way to kill it in pathfinder without resorting to wonkey shit. And teleporting the tarrasque is allowed. If need be convince it to walk through a gate.
>>19682018wish doesn't kill the tarrasque anymore
>>19682007I didn't know inquisitors could do that.
>>19682038Explain what you mean by this.Because if I recall correctly, the only way to kill it is a wish spell. Besides, it'll be back due to >>19682018
>>19682053Commissars too
>>19682059Anything in the positive energy plane explodes and ceases to exist after reaching double it's hit points. You kill that tarrasque, a new one pops into existence but that fucker is dead.
swarms don't take damage from weapons, so shoot all the canons you like, unless you equipped them with flamethrowers (and a steel, not wooden ship) it's good. I was making a swarm of cherry blossom petals animated by negative energy from mass graves near the trees that had effectively a breath weapon of negative energy and all sorts of fun shenanigans. Hand your players devastating weapons, then make them fight things immune to weapons. Asshole GM? I dunno, but it's funny.
>>19681991siege bomb discovery from alchemist perhaps. 'enchants' a siege weapon shot to carry a bomb-charge atop it.
>>19682089Isn't that pointless unless you have a grudge against that specific tarresque? Which is in of itself pointless since they're supposed to be an elemental representation of life on that plane, hence why they just respawn.
use alchemist fire rounds on an enchanted cannon. What would be the best possible enchantment for it?
>6d6 damage per shot>3 per side>108 max damage across three attack rolls.>Attack rollsAny adult dragon.
>>19682119Well who cares if it's pointless, you just killed the tarrasque. Maybe you set up a gate to the positive energy plane over their spawn zone so they just keep dying as soon as their born.
Changing topic question.Build me the most powerful airship possible by the rules.
>>19682152Now you're attempting to argue against what is basically rule 0.Players dont normally win those arguments.
In Pathfinder, the easiest way by RAW to deal with the Tarrasque forever is to befriend it.A druid can use its Wild Empathy on magical beasts at a -4, so lets assume we have a level 20 druid. Since big T only has a Cha of 14, a DC 32 Wild Empathy check will change it from Hostile to Indifferent, assume it's even at Hostile and not Unfriendly. A druid with a flat 10 Charisma can get this on a roll of 16 or higher, so assuming we crank this bitch's Charisma up as much as humanly possible we could get that DC much, much lower. Now that he's indifferent, we can ask favors of him using Wild Empathy at much lower DC. Assuming asking "Don't attack my country for as long as you live" is "lengthy or complicated aid," we only have a DC 22 Wild Empathy to request this of the Tarrasque. This way works, keeps everyone alive, and now you have the Tarrasque as a buddy.
>>19682152hmm, that gives me an interesting idea. an epic level wizard decides he is going to permanently solve this whole tarrasque problem by finding where he spawns, and forcing the positive energy plane to leak over into the area. this causes all life for a few miles to go absolutely shit-crazy, but its still better than letting a tarrasque run wild.are you a bad enough dude to establish a stable perimeter?
>>19682174I think the mental image is worth it. A constant flow of tarrasques through a portal.
>>19682187I'm imagining an order of druids, finding the most silver tongued in the land so as to train them.In their forest keeps they wait, as the day the Tarrasque rises and the Speaker is needed once again.
>>19682205Thats assuming it spawns in the same place everytime.Which any DM would make it spawn in the safest place for it to slumber. Also epic level wizards arent allowed to get anything done, theyre supposed to be constantly trying to fix hundreds of problems and getting constantly attacked and bothered by their rivals and enemies. Which results in them getting nothing done until they finally get killed or "leave" the known universe.
>>19682238You just really love the tarrasque don't you? Tarrasque fucker. I bet it's your fursona.
>>19681965http://www.1d4chan.org/wiki/Tarrasque#How_to_Kill_A_TarrasqueKilling a Tarrasque is always fun and Profitable.
You're the GM, you can build crap outside the rules if it fits your mod. Want a cannon that does 2d100 damage? Yep, it exists. Want an airship that holds 700 cannons, with full mounted ballistae on top? You got it. GM = God, unless he fails so hard the players abandon him / her.
>>19682238if i were dming this, which i probably will, i would say that it would make such an interesting story i dont give a shit. but you do raise valid points.
>>19682263If his fursona is the Tarrasque, do you really want to fuck with him?
>>19682296Actually you have a point. That's a pretty badass fursona.
>>19682263>Tarrasque fursonaEw.
>>19682296>>19682263>>19682286No, I'm just a forever DM who is too used to undermining my players every plot, outmaneuvering their every strategy, filling every loophole and squashing every dream. And if their conviction takes them to the end, I slowly open my hand and let them grasp their victory they have struggled so long for.In short, nothing gets "fagged" in my campaigns.
>>19682305>FurCon>Tarrasque guy shows up, just starts yelling and destroying everything>Tazers and pepper spray are unable to penetrate its armor coating of fur>Only a brave group of adventurous police officers can wrestle it down until it once again enters its millennium long slumber
I let epic level wizards get bored unmaking and remaking reality. Then other bored epic level wizards clean up their mess because, hey, why not, we're more powerful than gods and twice as immortal
>>19682340If this were to happen i may actually go to a furcon just to see it laid to waste.
>>19682327but the tarrasque wouldnt even be a part of that campaign, thats backstory. the campaign is about containing a couple mile radius biohazard zone filled with extremely dangerous monsters.
>>19682363and accidentally unleashing the tarrasque in the process
>>19682363Just as there is always a THAT GUY there is always a tarrasque. It is one of the universal laws that hold the fabric of reality together.
>>19682368hahaha oh god yes, thats perfect. the wizard shows up and is like "WHY THE FUCK DID YOU GUYS DO THIS, I SPENT 20 YEARS PERFECTING THIS SPELL. WELL WHATEVER, NOT MY PROBLEM." unfortunately the players are only level 10.
>>19682395you didnt read the thread i take it?
>>19682354The balancing fact is that theres forces in the universe more powerful, that dont let people like that run out of control. Not to mention their peers, rivals and enemies.MTG planeswalkers handle the concept perfectly with few exceptions COUGH URZA NICOL BOLAS
>>19682416Wait. Was this just drawn, or did this topic come up before?
>>19681713this.
>>19682360>Not using this opportunity to bar all the convention center doors with chains and locks and burning the place down, doing a daring rappel rescue through the showroom skylight for the police officers with a helicopter.>And tarrasque furry
>>19682451i also wonder this
>>19682451>>19682481We still have a decent amount of drawfag lying in wait, and something of that quality could easily be doodled in the timeframe of this thread.
>>19682462Did you spend all this time putting that together in MSPaint? Bless your heart.
>>19682512Actually that image has been kicking around /tg/ for quite a while now.
>>19682462 Shoot ballon and let gravity do the rest
>>19682512This is an old. OLD. Picture.I bet you don't even know the glory of the Emperrasque. Or Emprahsque. Or however it was.
>>19682536>2012>thinks falling damage can kill a Tarraque.
Half-dragon tarrasque with class levels. Get at me.
>>19682548I saw the Emperrasque thread. It was hysterical. Never saw this image, though, and it seemed too perfect to just be floating around.
>>19682557...Can Tarrasques even fuck?Apart from the furry ones I mean.
>>19682568a whizzard did it
>>19682554 Do you have to kill it or just make short work of it?
>>19682579Neither of those things are happening from falling damage.
>>19682548this?
>>19682536Honestly with its Powerful Leaper ability, it probably didn't need the balloon in the first place.
>>19682566I found it on 1d4chan. This conversation has been had before.
>>19682594 Once it's grounded, the airship is out of harm's way
So, apparently we know what happens to a Tarrasque if you dump it on the Positive energy plane. What about the Negative Energy Plane?
'Sup op?Generally any deep-dwelling subterranean creature.I did not read the rest of the thread, but I assume from all the Terrasque bitching no one bothered to go the obvious route of creatures and airship would not be coming across?
>>19682626Well, due to it's regeneration, jack shit. I guess if you throw it there unconscious it says unconscious til it leaves.
No this is the guy suspected to have the Tarasuqe as my fursona
>>19682624It can jump that high.>>19682626It probably cancels out the negative energy damage with regeneration, and eventually becomes the Lichasque
>>19682416Rule 63. sorry but if had to be done.
>>19682658did you just draw that because it's pure epic
>>19682658I love you drawfag. I really do.
>>19682658Draw him sitting at a comptuer!
>>19682658That is now one of my favorite internet pictures
>>19682657NEP drains levels. I think the Tarrasque might be immune.
>>19682743omfg i love you. this needs a backstory.
>>19682743
If anyone hasn't suggested it, an an Elder Air Elemental would fuck their shit up.
>>19682710
>>19682786You won /tg/! I wonder what tarrasque is doing in his holding cell...
your mama
>>19682786I have one request, Drawfriend. Could you craft a depiction of this Tarrasque walking dejectedly away from a group of furries whom he has just smashed up in his quest to be accepted and loved?
You know what OP. I'm disappointed in you. The easiest way to attack that airship would be from inside, namely Rust Monsters. Have a few eggs thrown in the next supplies they pick up and boom, they have to exterminate them before they knock it out sky.
>>19682786I offer you my best kitten gif
shut up about the damn airship there are much more important things. like the tarrasque
>>19682798Excellent witty retort, my good man.
>>19682598>>19682566>>19682548
>Tarrasque fursuit/fursona manI NEVER ASKED FOR THESE SIDES, ANYWAYS
>>19682801
>>19682919Haha yes you are the best drawfriend
>>19682919I imagine the piano music from the credits of the old Hulk show when seeing this.
>>19682919LET THIS DRAWFAG BE ENTERED INTO THE HALLS OF USEFULNESS AND LEGEND
>>19682919So, how did the people at the local jail react to the Tarrasque being hauled in?
>>19682919You are win!Show us what happened to the tarrasque after he got jailed?
>>19682966By being murdered.
>>19682018pathfinder tarrasque, different fluffs.
>>19682995But this is the Tarrasque! Surely being shivved a few times cannot fell such a mighty beast!
And then theres always the sad realization that every furry is just a fat sweaty guy in a suit.
>>19683007>Suddenly, the magic's gone.
>>19683007>>19682919>>19682786>>19682743>>19682658Drawfag, you are amazing. Are these done in MSPaint?
>>19683007Is the line under his mouth his chin? With as fat as he is it may just be some left over ramen...
>>19683007Did you hear that? That was the sound of my heart breaking. Please tell me the sweaty man takes of a second mask to reveal that he was in fact a Tarrasque dressed as a man dressed as a Tarrasque.
>>19683007...I feel somewhat saddened by this realization. It was almost magical.Still, good to know the Tarrasque was James Bond.
>>19683035>>19683035>>19683035>>19683035>>19683035
>>19683035>>19683046We demand to see the real Tarrasque drawfriend! Is the Tarrasque some sort of deviant fetishist who dresses like a human during sex?
I wouldnt wake up this stone cold motherfucker. You need a wish to put his ass down.
>>19683098are they terrified of him?
>>19683106Are you not?
>>19681965oh no sir, you misunderstand me.a colossal swarm... OF Tarrasque...whats the CR on that shit...
>>19683122i fear tarrasque-chanI wonder where he works
>>19683017>>19683032>>19683035>>19683037>>19683064>>19683046IS IT EVEN A MAN AT ALL? WE MAY NEVER KNOW.
>>19683142More importantly, does he work as the Tarrasque?
>>19683142At Monsterburger. It's the only place that lets him wear the suit.
>>19683158You have no idea how hard I just giggled, drawfriend.
>>19683158He's just an endless pit of masks
>>19683030Yes, I have more trouble emulating MSpaint in other programs ironically.
highlight of the thread for me.
>>19683194you are full of win. These need to be spread to all corners of something
>>19683158Truly you are a god among mortals.
>>19683194>>19683158Oh great drawfriend, are you done presenting us with gifts? Or will you continue to shower us with such glorious images?
>>19683317I think I'm all spent and heading to sleep.
>>19683351You are today's Teddy Roosevelt.
A few of these should dohttp://www.d20pfsrd.com/bestiary/monster-listings/constructs/golem/golem-cannon
