Prometheus stole 12 dollars and 2 hours of my life and I want them back.

Uh... TG QUEST!!!!

Last thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/19460617/

When last we left our Command Crew, they had just had a chat with some Guy, pounded the tar out of a man in black, and let someone in a purple suit elude them. With an astounding five out of six SUEs imprisoned, and the Chaos forces driven back, they're making excellent time.

Day: 2
Current Objectives: Restore Ah My Goddess world to natural state, remove SUE infestation, repair damage to space-time. 5/6 SUEs neutralized.

Fleet Location: Main force hiding behind the moon. Indefatigable wreckage in low orbit. Al'Keshes running operations planetside. Oncoming Storm in high orbit.

So I assume you didn't like it? What was your opinion? And I heard there was a Xenomorph in it, this true?
>>
Okay. First order of business is to get the Inde's remains into one of our Star Destroyers; most likely the All Under Heaven. We'll deal with repairs/additional salvage back at base.

Second order of business is to secure that last SUE. I would advise an Al'Kesh use it's Emitter to weaken the SUE, then we just teleport in sleeping gas of some sort. Then send in people with air filtration, restrain the SUE, and abscond like hell.

Third, free Urd. Appropriate precautions being taken just in case she's under SUE influence still.
>>
>>19496965

Have our stakeout team keep us updated on when the goddesses and K-1 reach their home. Also, if any shit goes down there. Also, let's get ANON to scan the world for any reality distortions matching that of a SUE.

I forget when Requisitions shuts down. Should we contact Holtz to get an official time on when we'll start paying out the nose for goods, and when the Black-Ops fleet will be meeting the reality distortion?
>>
>>19497078

(cont.)

Also, let's get the unknown device/meta-comm we swiped off of Guy into containment. Have our team carefully assess Guy's meta-communicator to see if there's any malicious software or defense mechanisms that are built into it.
>>
>>19497037
>>19496965
It's probably also safe to move our ships from behind the Moon.. It's not like they don't know we're here anymore.

Codeki was talking about maybe borrowing Lind.. Dunno how that'd work since I know nothing about this canon.
>>
I was saying that since she's a minor character, we could possibly recruit her on the requirement that we bring her back should she be required. However, I don't think she will be.
>>
rolled 43 = 43

>>19497006
It was very, very pretty. But an alternative title for it could've been, "Retarded People Do Retarded Things". The amount of dumb actions was bad even for a horror movie. I could go on and on, but we're here to quest. And yes, one was shoehorned in.

The All Under Heaven begins tractor-beaming the wreck in.

Your tech team and engineers begin going over the transpace communicator. It will take them the rest of the day for a thorough test, but it's already evening.

You manage to locate a reality distortion matching a SUE signature in an apartment in the middle of Nekomi.

Douglas reports that K-1, Skuld, and Belldandy have safely arrived back at their original home of the temple. On brooms.
>>
>>19497203

While Lind would be a fine addition to our forces, there are some problems that I can see with this:

1.) She's very closely associated with Heaven. If we're intent on this canon staying ignorant of the meta, then she'll have to sever her ties with them lest she risk backlash or a conflict of loyalties.

2.) She's well-known in Heaven. If she goes missing, people are going to wonder where she went. Maybe even plot-relevant people.

3.) This canon has not yet run its full course. She may yet have an important role to play, if we're not in the most current iteration of the canon.
>>
>>19497266
Alright. Observer on station to give us a peek at what's going on. I still propose sleeping gas deployment and Al'Kesh Emitter support. Unless someone has a better idea.

This should be pretty quick if we do it right.
>>
>>19497266
Have VP-98 and 99 continue their search for the third unknown meta-operative, and the zombie hunters and Dystopia troops continue their search of Nekomi Tech.
Have Douglas and a pair of the DG's stake out that apartment. Use conventional means of surveillance(binoculars) before using something like the exographic scanner.

While that's going on, have 3 Al'Kesh rerouted to the apartment and begin blanketing it with reality fields.
Do we have knockout gas grenades available, or can we whip some up?
>>
>>19497302
Only possible way we'd be able to in the first place is to get permission from the Almighty. And under that category, he already knows we're an abnormality. If he's anything like the rest of the gods, he's meta-aware, but prefers to keep to himself.

And if she would go missing, she'd probably just be listed as "On mission assigned by Almighty"

>>19497266
Have the scans of Britain turned up anything?
>>
I think we should christen our meta-comm array to see if it works, and contact Holtz. If there's been any shit hitting the fan as far as meta-politics goes, it might do us well to be aware of it before we return to base.
>>
In regards to contacting Holtz, we need to let him know that another Meta-Aware faction was snooping around.
I doubt it was the TSAB, they know well enough to stay out of TG territory.
>>
>>19497343

Should we leave a Drone or Observer at the Morisato residence in case anything happens? Everything seems to be in control now, but it might be a good idea to keep an eye on them until the last SUE is subdued and Urd is freed.

Although we're supposed to minimize contact with the inhabitants of the canons as much as possible, it might be worth finding out how Skuld/Banpei were able to so easily detect our Observers. They're meant to evade detection from other Protoss, heightened Zerg senses, and most Terran sensors.
>>
rolled 51 = 51

>>19497347
No results on England, no.

>>19497361
You've been using your Meta-Comm Array. The Meta-Comm Array is what's letting you intercept transpace communications.

You currently have no KO gas grenades, but your X-COM scientists have the Stun Gas grenade blueprints, allowing your engineers to make them.

>>19497343
Douglas and the DGs halt their stake-out of the temple and begin to sweep around the apartment.
>>
((I get worried about Alice from the resident evil movies ending up in the game canon))
>>
>>19497433
I'm thinking Gas grenade, smash and grab. Thoughts?
>>
>>19497397
Doesn't seem to be the Peace Keeping Bureau. We'd have picked up more SUE signals. Unlikely to be the TSAB. They know better. They knew about the Reality Emitters, but not of our existence. Only group I can think of would be the group Grimm claims we stole the Emitters from.
>>
>>19497433
Have our engineers make a dozen Stun Gas Grenades. How quickly can they be completed?

Task Drone Squad 2 (with its attendant Observer) to keep an eye on the Morisato residence.
>>
>>19497454
Pretty much. Best if we wait for them to be asleep, then beam in the gas grenades to keep them asleep. Then we beam in, grab and contain the SUE, then beam out.
>>
>>19497433
>>19497454
Stun Gas grenades sound awesome. +1 to a dozen of them.

We should decide on the capture team.

Beam in sounds very good.

>>19497459
This *is* worrisome.. But if we got our tech from them, wouldn't they have already been out and about? How come it took us so long to run into them?
>>
>>19497476
The minimum time and amount is half a day for enough grenades to equip a squad.
>>
>>19497525
Capture team: SCP Troopers ( have power armor, reality disruptor rifles), Spike, Aurors for magic backup.
>>
>>19497555
And it is evening now, correct?
So half a day will mean that the grenades will be ready around 2AM, meaning that it's the perfect time for our operation to take place. Am I right?
>>
>>19497525

We should include Aurors to ward the apartment against muggles, and ward it so that no sound escapes the room. If a scuffle occurs, it would not do to rouse the suspicion of local law enforcement or such. They can also provide spell support.

The SUE may be an upjumped grognard, but his SUE levels may be on par with the other Elemental Knights. The SUE-influenced Peorth is the real trouble here. If she wakes up, she'll undoubtedly protect the SUE and/or pursue us if we make off with him.

If the KI can fit into the apartment, some KI with reality disrupters would provide a lot of muscle. If not, then the SCP troopers with reality disrupters may be better. Abjurers with dimensional anchor could prevent Peorth from teleporting to whichever vessel we ferry the SUE in.
>>
So for a plan, I'm thinking wait till the SUE's asleep, drop a metric fuckton of stun grenades on him then break in the doors and windows. make him think its swat or Spec OPs, then hit him with the fancy shit. Opinions?
>>
>>19497266
Plan:

Tech team working on communicator - That's good. It'll hopefully allow us to decode things.

Mr. Purple is likely already teleporting out. If possible I'd like to scry for him just to know who he is.

Get a look at Tom's apartment. Stake it out with Douglas and an Observer. Douglas is a PI, that should be standard fare for him.

Don't loot Lind, Canon is not yet complete.

We know that the Transpace comms were from some dude spying on our forces, most likely Black. The only other thing to search for here is Purple.

I'd contact Holtz, give him the description of the Man in Black, and ask if he knows anything about a faction like that.

>>19497408
Good idea, leave a drone at K1's place.

Oh, if you're planning for Gas-n-grab (which will probably work): Grab Urd first.
>>
Heroes: Virtun for level 20 cleric support/double roll. If he casts the "Forbiddance" spell, that effectively wards a 1200-ft cube of space around him against teleportation. If we need to hoof it out of there, this could be very handy.

If we need to fight, Agrias with Gurthang could prove murderous in a melee. Spike can also fight well and turn on the charm, which may work if we need to talk Peorth down.
>>
>>19497675
It's not likely that it was Black that was spying on our forces, since he appeared to be ignorant of our presence until we spoke with him. Also, he was out in the city while the communications from Nekomi Tech continued.

As for Urd, let's just stick to the plan and release her last. Given her meddling nature, she's too likely to try to help us, and end up causing a mess.

We need containment cells readied on the All Under Heaven, so that once we have the last SUE captured, we can have them transit out of this Canon, and the Oncoming Storm can confirm that their influence has been severed from this Canon.
Because if it hasn't, then we need to know so that we can kill them once the AUH arrives at base.
>>
>>19497735
We should try to keep Virtun safe in orbit, we can't afford to lose his True Resurrection ability.
Anyway, his luck Double Roll ability can be done with him in orbit.
>>
>>19497790
No, it can't. It requires touch. And there's no reason to keep him up there when he's so much useful down here.
>>
Also, for the Drone being left at K-1's residence:

Instruct it to carefully observe if Banpei or any other mechanical forms (like that one girl-android Skuld built) get in its line-of-sight or attempt to get close to it. If they start to get too close or start to observe it for too long, have the drone depart and return 10 minutes later. We can't have it falling into Skuld's hands.

If Belldandy attempts to "speak" with it, the drone is to give long-winded, noncommittal answers. If she tries to pry any information about the nature of the metaverse or the identity of the command crew, it is to depart immediately at top speed.
>>
>>19497874
You are right that it requires touch, but wrong that it can't be done from orbit.
Virtun can use Bit of Luck to give, say, Spike a Double Roll a second before Spike and the others are beamed down.
Since it lasts for a round, six seconds, and the Asgard transporters only require 1.5 seconds, it's still enough time for it to work.
>>
Loot to get:
Worlds already clear:
C&C - loot some MCVs, and the Tech trees. Feed any useful vehicle scrap into the Antaeus [e.g. Subterranean APCs].
Maybe loot a Mammoth MKII. Loot Tiberium to sell to base.
Dark Matter - True Res Gaunt
Ebon Night's hellhole - Need to check that email inbox we had Mouse set up

Worlds our troops are from:
X-com - if an alien Battleship is about to ransack an X-com base, steal the base personnel. And the Battleship.
Starcraft - get a Terran Command Center + Tech tree, help Tosh on his Jorium and Terrazine mission.
Ivalice - recruit some more troops.
D&D - I don't know the setting that well, but there's bound to be some lootable shit in here.

Remember to use Identify (we got the spellbook) on that other unidentified item we looted from Guy.
It's Nethack ID so it should work on mundane items. Speaking of which:
If we know what canons our items are from, we could go grab a Black pudding from Nethack, or some random crap from Warcraft. Don't interfere with the canon though.
>>
The thing about this mystery faction is that, to a certain extent, the timeline of each Canon is independent of any other Canon, and I'm pretty sure Meta Earth as well.
It's entirely possible that guy and the man in black are either our predecessors or maybe even successors.
Like linearity might not be a thing that's happening.
>>
>>19498037
Might well be, Time isn't exactly a static thing in the Meta after all.
>>
rolled 19 = 19

Douglas the Delta Greens establish a stake-out around the apartment, the Aurors quietly beginning to setup supernatural wards to keep onlookers away. After a thorough sweep, the DGs report the perimeter is clear.

Douglas reports that the apartment is empty for the time being. It remains so until dark, when Peorth appears within, alongside a man with brown hair in streetclothes.
>>
>>19498057
Check for distortions. Is that our mark?

Also, a 19? I suppose a Civilian noticed us and the regular police are going to yell at us, just roll with it.
>>
>>19498057
Just keep up surveillance for now. We're waiting on the stun gas grenades to be finished before we move in, so we've got some time.

Almost immediately, Peorth frowns, disappearing again as the man walks deeper into the apartment.

We may want to retreat and try again later. Perhaps we can use the Avatar to discern if Urd is free from Koh's influence, in the meantime?

>>
>>19498198
Just made it.

After much examination, aided by his incredible knowledge of the Planes and his magic, Virtun consults with a few of your scientists to reach a conclusion. The device is a reality emitter. More than that, its design is highly advanced, at least decades ahead of the model used by the Transpace Guard.
>>
Since we're not quite in a life-or-death situation as of now, here's a pastebin with a portion of the magic we have so far:
http://pastebin.com/u/TFW
While my dark work is not yet complete, now you too can suggest spells for our Abjurers and Vitun.

Damnit, they're from the future.

>>
>>19498243
:-O
>>19498257
Wait until later, when we have a better shot.

Might be time to go free Urd?
>>
>>19498243
Wait, decades ahead of the Mk. I Reality Emitter? What about the Mk. II? Or is comparing the two like comparing an iPhone 4S to a vacuum tube radio?
>>
>>19498243

Aw shit. Well, we can rule out any currently known meta-faction, at least. I think we may be dealing with the original makers of the reality emitter. Only while Black Ops was playing ComStar with the technology and keeping the secrets all to themselves, these guys were actively working to perfect it. The question is, what the hell do we do with this? If we turn it in for brownie points, Black Ops might go "oh shit" and decide to wipe us all out.

OP, can Virtun/Our researchers determine how it measures up to our reality disrupters/reality emitter MK-II devices?
>>
>>19498267
Ahead of the Mk.II as well, since the Mk.II is essentially the Mk.I with extra circuitry to extend the effect to Warp creatures.
>>
>>19498243
What are we researching at the moment?
S2 Organ and those Blue crystals?
That should be done soon.

What's next on the research list, Aglaphotis-B and ... what else? I remember there being something really neat that we were meant to be researching.
Well, might as well research Aglaphotis-B, Creation engine databases, and now this Reality Emitter FROM THE FUTURE!.
>>
>>19498289
Look for a maker's mark. I want to see if a version of the Guard from the future made it.

It would be entertaining if this thing was OUR custom Reality Emitter MK32.
>>
>>19498317
There actually is an emblem on it. A downthrust flaming sword over a twelve-pointed elongated star.

>>19498285
With a little time and testing, yes.

You still need to do something about Peorth and Tom. Currently the Deltas and Doug are complying with the order to bug out, swiftly packing up their gear and getting ready to move.

The pilots of the Al'Kesh reports he can't find Tom or Peorth to lock onto with the teleporter, so that option is out. This is despite knowing he's in the apartment, suggesting some sort of ECM-like defense.
>>
>>19498289
Does it have any manufacturer's mark or serial number?
Does our science team believe that this foreign reality emitter can protect against Warp and Chaos entities and powers?

And get Douglas and the Delta Greens to the safety of the Morisato residence. It's not nice to barge in on Keiichi and Belldandy just as they're catching up, but we're left with few options.
>>
>>19498290

I think we already researched blue crystals. Since we are not elder gods or possess any of their technology, we couldn't use them. So we traded them away from Philemon for information and foreshadowing.

OP, have our forces successfully bugged the fuck out from the SUE's apartment?

If this is so, ask Mr. Data and our researchers if they can modify the armbands to project a small field. If this is possible, we can shine a bit on Urd to return her to normal time-space and see if her mental faculties are intact and not SUE-ified. If not, we can merely turn off the field and/or point it away, and she'll return to being time-frozen.

I suggest we bring along Cheryl, Tosh, and the Avatar to see if they can determine if Urd's time-frozen form is free of SUE influence. If so, then we can proceed with the armband plan above.
>>
>>19498378
Have the sensors on the Storm analyze the ECM field; does it only prevent transporter locks, or is it an actual interdiction field?
>>
>>19498399
Works for me. That'll get reality completely stable, at least.

>>19498409
Seems like a wise idea.

I'm not sure how to go about the next steps. Obviously Tom knows we're coming and has protection of a Goddess of Earth.
That, I think, is likely why we can't find him - he's hanging out with a Goddess whose powers include Earth.

The solution? Ask Avatar and Agrias (Geomancy) to see if they can sense any Earth-related magic around the place.
>>
>>19498409
Also have the Storm's scanners check the size of the interference field as well.
And keep a lock on Tom's reality distortion signature. We need to make sure we don't lose him.
>>
>>19498409
The Storm's sensors do not find such a field in place... or any signs of Tom's presence at all save for the reality distortion he projects.

>>19498388
It would need to be examined further.

Douglas and the Delta Greens materialize in the living room of the temple, almost running into a startled Skuld as she leans back to avoid one, spilling over a large bowl of many-flavored scoops of ice cream. Skuld's eyes go wide as cherry, chocolate, vanilla, banana, strawberry, and more go splattering across the floor.

"But... but..." Skuld murmurs. Finally she cries, tears flowing as she screams, "I HAVEN'T MANAGED TO EAT A BOWL OF ICE CREAM SINCE THIS CRAZINESS BEGAN!!!"

"Oh!" Belldandy says, poking her head in with a smile. "Keiichi-san! We have guests!"

>>19498399
They believe so, but the modifications may take some time.

>>19498439
Avatar and Agrias moongate down. The blond lady-knight, frowns, laying a hand on the earth.

"I cannot sense anything..." Agrias murmurs.

"I can. A powerful current of ether..." the Avatar murmurs, closing his eyes. "Clashing with another current. She's erasing the wards the aurors put up."
>>
Oh, and MetaOp. I finished Vitun's armor and weapon.

His Morningstar has Ghost Touch, deals non-lethal damage by default and can change shape at will.

His armor is confortable, floats in water, glamoured, and provides 1 backup rez on Vitun per day.

The rest of his money was spent on scrolls.
>>
>>19498577
"Miss Belldandy, we're very sorry for this unannounced visit."
Have our cooks and replicators whip up come confectioneries and candies real fast, including a banana split sundae with fudge for Skuld, and have them beamed down to Douglas to present to Belldandy.
It's only polite for us to present a gift of some kind for visiting unannounced; it's the culturally appropriate thing to do.
>>
>>19498577
Replicate her ton of ice cream. that was mean of us.
>>
>>19498577
Oh. Well I guess we'll have to make do without Wards then.
So Wards increases our chances of detection? Don't use them.
Can the Aurors dispel their wards?

We'll need to want to get Tom when he's not next to Peorth. Hopefully he leaves his house every once in a while.

>>19498625
>>19498628

Your chefs get to work, Skuld perked up noticeably at the prospect of a replacement treat. She chows down enthusiastically on the small amount of ice cream in the bowl that didn't get spilled.

"It's fine!" Belldandy says with a small smile.

"Happens all the time," Keiichi says as he enters the room. "What can we help you with? PLEASE don't tell me you need a place to stay for a while. That's how..." Keiichi stops, frowning. "Come to think of it... Where IS Urd?"

"We'll get her next!" Skuld vehemently promises, waving her spoon at Keiichi. "Just need to recharge the batteries a bit and off we go!"

Pretentious, shitty title? Check.
Rage inducingly bad summary? Check.

Fucking terrible, Anon. Fucking terrible.
>>
>>19498653
It might be Tom.
Like here's an excerpt:

>Peorth nodded in acceptance. "I'll run a scan on him, anyway. Just to be entirely sure." Belldandy shrugged. "Go ahead." Peorth reached out with her goddess powers and tried to read the Yggdrasil signature Tavin gave off. After nearly a minute, she woke up to Urd's and Belldandy's voices calling her name.

>"Huh?" She glanced up into the concerned faces of her three fellow goddesses and one mortal. "What happened?" She then realized that she was laying on the floor of the living room. "Well, you said you wanted to scan him, and you just, uh, collapsed." Belldandy told her. "Seems to be happening a lot around here, lately," Urd added, snickering.

>"And? Did you get a good reading on him?" Skuld asked. Peorth tried to recall. "Not really. Actually, I didn't get any reading at all. It's like he's screened from Yggdrasil, somehow." Urd shot her a sideway glance. "A real mystery man, huh? I like that," she said before jumping through the TV. "Be back in a jiffy," she noted before vanishing totally.

>"Peorth, is something wrong?" Belldandy's voice cut into the other goddesses's thoughts. "No, nothing. I was just thinking."

>"About what?" Keiichi joined Belldandy and placed a hand on her shoulder.

>"You know, before I was assigned head of Yggdrasil, I used to work with the Earth Help Center. I came across lots of people, and only one I had ever known barely came close to having the raw power to shroud their Yggdrasil tracking signature."

If he can block Yggdrasil, he can probably block us as well.
>>
Just wondering:

Are we getting the goddesses and K-1 to help out with Urd, or with the situation we have with Peorth?

...I've waited years to say this.
"She's at a place like the beach. Only it is the moon."
>>

I'm voting the Peorth situation.
She's active, she's mobile, and she's compromised.
Urd is safely contained within a time distortion.
>>
>>19498835
"What do you mean, 'coming after?" Belldandy asks. "Peorth can have a temper, but she'd never hurt anyone..." Belldandy pauses. "...she'd never hurt anyone badly! Her pride as a goddess is too much for that!"
>>
>>19498782
We know where Urd is, but we're not sure if she's under compulsion like Bell and you were, Skuld.
If you'd like to come with us to help break Urd's compulsion, assuming she is under compulsion, it'd be a big help.
Similarly, Peorth is under compulsion. We'll try to free her after that.

Sound like a plan to you guys?
>>
>>19498894
"Remember what TC was doing to you and Rei was doing to Skuld? The 'Goddess Knight' - note the sarcastic quotation marks there - with Peorth is influencing her the same way they did you two. We're trying to free her, but she vanished and our team bugged out in case of rabid Goddess attack."

"And yes, we would appreciate your help with Urd.. It'd help everyone."
>>
>>19498878
"The moon?!" Belldandy gasps. She doesn't pause, immediately summoning her broom and flying out a nearby window.

"Onee-samaaa! Wait!!!" Skuld cries, shrugging on a large jetpack she gets from... somewhere. She blasts off out the window as well, swooping back in and out a moment later to grab the new bowl of ice cream just as it beams down.

"...I guess I'm sitting this one out..." Keiichi says, laughing nervously as he scratches the back of his head.
>>
>>19498894
"Well, yes, but please understand that we're liable for damage incurred upon our operatives and their equipment. I mean, the forms we have to fill out for Accounts Payable, and the auditors from the Oversight Committee, and explaining to the Internal Audit Committee about a loss of equipment.
"It's not exactly a pleasant experience."
>>
Guys.

if Peorth is under compulsion

who's best at breaking compulsions

Urd

Plus, the two goddesses just gtfo'd, so I'd say now's a good time to get out there and start helping.

Send some Droooones! to pick up Urd and let's roll.
>>
>>19498971
...Man we didn't even say she was frozen in time or anything like that.
Does she have a problem against the moon or something?

...Write a note and then beam down a probe droid holding the note.
Have it describe the time dilation field, and the possibility that Urd is still under Koh's charm.
>>
>>19498971
Goddamnit. Open some sort of hailing frequency with the two of them, or have Cheryl stab them in the brain or something to get their attention. If we can communicate...

"You can't just up and free her like that! WE can do it, but we'll need your help if she's still being influenced. Now meet up with one of our transports and we'll do this properly!"

Vector an Al'Kesh to their position and get them to join us so we can do this properly.
>>
>>19498971
Goddammit.

Beam 3 Viper Droids to the Moon's surface just outside the time distortion.
Have them equipped with the modified emergency transporter armbands we used to get into the time distortion before.
We'll need to give two of them to the Goddesses.

Have the remaining Viper Droid tag along with the Goddesses to see if they need help.

I don't think we have EVA suits for the Avatar and Cheryl.
>>
>>19498971

Ffffffuuuuuu....

Should we get our ships to hide behind another planet? And pack up as much debris as they can possibly carry before doing so? Should we deploy a team on the moon to meet with the goddesses as they arrive, and should we get K-1 to come along?

If we decide to leave K-1 where he is, we can have Doug + the Delta Greens make some small talk with him. Try to see WHEN exactly we are in the canon.

Have a Viper Droid and Al'Kesh welcoming party ready to intercept the Goddesses when they get there.

In fact, try to have an Al'Kesh match velocities with the Goddesses, maybe try some flashing lights to get them to pull over.
"Ma'am. Do you know why we pulled you over?"

And get a White Mage to Cheryl to heal her.

Don't sell yourself short, Cheryl. You've got the respect of a council of space not-elves that normally regards humans as impudent monkeys, and you've saved our asses more times than we can count.

Skuld's got some machinery on her; keep hailing her with our comms until we get a channel through. We can also try to send a shuttlecraft or something to intercept them.

1.) We can expedite the process of getting you girls to the moon.

2.) There are circumstances concerning her that you will probably want to know so that you NOT RUSH IN and trigger something disastrous.

3.) Japan has a modest selection of ice-cream flavors. However, there are other countries with access to cheap and plentiful sources of dairy, and have come up with potentially *thousands* of distinct flavors. If you stop your sister and agree to let us ferry you to where Urd is, and promise to be calm when you reach the site, these flavors can be yours.

Tosh may as well beam down to the drop-site when the goddesses arrive.

They already think we're pretty weird. Though this iteration of Tosh that we've recruited is fundamentally a good guy, he's seen some shit and gone through more shit. I don't want to make things HAWKWARD by expecting them to share seats with a hardened Spectre and having them reading the ambient psionic waves he gives off along with any baggage.
>>
>>19499784
Do you realize that's not an actual plan? That it's nothing more but bullet points of optimum results rather than actually planning for contingencies?
>>
>>19499800
k, need a plan
>>
>>19499767
First, do we have EVA suits or personal EVA belts for Tosh, Vitun, and Cheryl?
Because if not, then they will need to stay on the Al'Kesh.

Have two Vipers with modified emergency transporter armbands move into the time distortion and see if there's any change with Urd.
Have the Storm scan the distortion and see if Urd still has Koh's reality distortion signature on her.
The subspace communicator part of the emergency armbands should allow communication out of the bubble.

What we do will depend on whether we can have Tosh, Cheryl, and Virtun move into the time distortion or not, which is dependent on them having EVA gear.
MetaOP, do we have the equipment?
>>
>>19499767

Once the goddesses arrive at the drop-off site with the droids and Tosh/Cheryl (our guys equipped with the armbands), we will then explain to them what we think happened: we believe that Urd and Koh (TC's other brother) may have been involved with something involving gates and judgement. We think that this is what caused them to be frozen in time on the moon.

We've also determined that anything that enters the time bubble becomes frozen in time. However, we have successfully moved living entities to and from the time bubble. BUT. We do not want them to dispel the time bubble right away; we have Koh in custody, and he is still frozen in time. Breaking the bubble may release Koh.

We are going to carry Urd to the border, after inspecting her for traces of Koh's influence. If she is under Koh's influence, we may want to give the goddesses armbands so they can go into the bubble and see if they can cleanse Urd while she's time frozen. If not, we will move Urd out of the bubble, where the goddesses will attempt to jar Urd's memory and have her return to normal.
>>
>>19499875
Yes, you can throw all that stuff together.
>>
>>19499886
>>19499875
Seems like it should work.
Stress on NOT removing the time bubble.
Also, double rolls.
gogo
>>
>>19499886

Also. If the squirrel is still in the bubble and hasn't been ported out, have a drone quietly confine it in a box and move it to an Al'kesh to be ported back to Earth. Preferably when everyone is wrapped up in the Urd situation.
>>
>>19499905
Then what we do is we have Vitun, Tosh, and Cheryl equipped with the modified emergency transporter armbands, as well the two goddesses.
Have them enter the time distortion, go up to Urd, and see if she's still being influenced or not.
If yes, then have Vitun use his Bit of Luck to give Cheryl and Tosh a Double Roll as they attempt to sever Koh's influence over Urd.
Once the influence has been severed, the goddesses can dispel the time distortion.
>>
>>19499886
Would Koh really be a problem?
I mean in theory he'll go into a coma just like Rei did, seeing as we neutralized TC.
>>
>>19500065
Still, to be safe, be best to isolate Koh from the other SUEs so we don't have a SUE containment breach.
>>
>>19500065

Maybe. But it never hurts to be sure.

Besides, a time-distortion bubble could come in handy when dealing with Peorth/Tom. We could challenge the SUE-compelled Peorth to a duel on the moon; and whoops, did we just give her coordinates that were smack dab in the middle of the time distortion? Silly us.
>>
>>19500089
Would Peorth even give a shit about duels?
>>
>>19500096

Iunno. One thing is for sure: she is very prideful, though this improved during her stay with the other 3 goddesses and K-1. She may not accept a duel from *us*, but from another goddess who calls her out on stuff? Maybe.
>>
>>19500096
Not even a little.
Neither would Tom.
>>
>>19500112
>>19500110
I'm thinking.

Would the 3 main cast have any real reason to help us with Peorth+Tom?
If Peorth is happy with Tom, would they care much about mental compulsion?
I suppose they could check Yggdrasil and verify that reality is being warped around him.
Do they like us enough to be willing to help with our issue?

Plan from thread:

Have the 3 goddesses call up Peorth, ask her to visit the temple.
Do this when Tom isn't in earshot.
Use the reality emitter we got from Guy, the 3 Goddesses and K1's experiences, Virtun's diplomacy, Avatar's magic power, and Cheryl present since she can apparently get into the mind of goddess.
Try to talk Peorth down out of possession.

While that is happening, have a team ready to go engage Tom, but DO NOT DO SO YET.

>>19500616
BELLDANDY, use WORDS to talk about TC to URD.
And let's head back down to the ice cream to eat some temple.
>>
>>19500616

As for Urd's question, "Seeing it for yourself is faster than us trying to explain it. If you see Peorth for yourself, you'll understand."

What's the ETA on the gas grenades? We won't try to get Tom until the gas grenades are ready and Peorth has been freed of his influence.

When the Al'Kesh reaches the temple once more, Skuld immediately scurries off to the waiting offering of ice cream, Urd already well into the case of whiskey you picked up on the way. Wisely choosing to not be near a gorging Skuld or a drunken Urd, Tosh, Virtun, and Cheryl follow Belldandy to the kitchen. After Belldandy puts the call in to Peorth, the three partake in a very normal activity that seems ridiculously out of place for the three to do.

They help Belldandy make tea.

After an hour, tea and some light cakes are ready, and a female voice comes from the courtyard.

The Avatar should be present, checking the flows. Be polite and all that. Everyone else, be on the lookout, but GTFO so Peorth doesn't freak out. Storm, keep a solid lock on Tom's distortions.

Heh good game. Although I am sure we are not supposed to recruit the canon characters like that. Then again, there were few ways the whole thing could have played out and at the same time achieving the same results.

Thinking about it, has the REAL police and military arrived at the campus yet? The media should be making a report about the 'mysterious attackers', has that aired yet?

We also have to be careful about what we say. We can't have the goddess's getting curious.

We could have the Avatar talk about the virtues he lives by. I think Belldandy would like the listen to that.

Considering the S.U.E.'s I think we have got enough to research. We can just go.

Us: "Look in this mirror" (shows mirror)
Tom: AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Lastly, while Holtz is more concerned about getting the sector fixed and he's been good bro's with us so far. Perhaps its time to lie to him and say that we captured less S.U.E's then we have. I have a suspicion that the guard HAVE captured S.U.Es before us, its just that they haven't been recorded and they get 'lost' on the way the HQ.

P.S. Damn my +5 hour time zone.
>>
>>19501892
The local police and military were already mentioned as having attempted to control the situation at Nekomi Tech early on and having failed miserably.
We set up our perimeter and passed the civilians we saved on to the local police. Our cover story is holding for now.

The best way to not say anything that might be problematic is to not say anything at all. There's no need to have the Avatar talk with Belldandy beyond the necessary interaction dealing with Peorth.

I see no advantage in not telling Holtz how many SUE's we captured. We are going to be keeping them at Sector HQ for research and testing of the SUE-Cure. That also means that using the Mirror of Truth on them is a counter-productive, since the Cure we are researching is supposed to be used against a fully powered SUE, and would be useless to test against a SUE that has had its powers stripped.
>>
>>19503311
Not completely useless.
Remember that we only used the Mirror once, on a person who was weak against "herself".
We don't actually know whether or not the thing works on anyone but Sapphirus.
So testing it on a SUE would also be science.
>>

I'd rather recover a Go'auld sarcophagus from one of the many Ha'taks lost during the war between the System Lords, Anubis, and the Free Jaffa.
Not only is it a fast resurrector and regenerator, but it forces someone back to life. Useful if there is someone who we want to question that is dead and whose body we have in custody. That way, even if the person doesn't want to come back to life, they have no choice and we can extract the information we want from them.
Maybe even a bit of Anubis' interrogation implant technology.

>Although I am sure we are not supposed to recruit the canon characters like that.
Original mission statement for The Editors was convincing the canon to kick out the SUE. As long as we don't take these folks with us, we should be fine.

Better not use the mirror wantonly. It will probably work on TC, but that's a waste of some good !!SCIENCE!!.

> I have a suspicion that the guard HAVE captured S.U.Es before us, its just that they haven't been recorded and they get 'lost' on the way the HQ.
Hmm. You may well be right. I find it hard to believe that we'd be the only people to capture a SUE, when at least a small portion of them would be fooled by "WE ARE SPACE TRAVELLERS. JOIN US IN OUR SPACE PODS FOR ADVENTURE" and then the space pod fills with Stasis / Stun gas / Carbonite / Time stop magic.

That said, we can trust Holtz and we should tell Holtz. It's HQ that we shouldn't tell.
"Hey HQ we improved a reality emitter! :D"

>>
>>19507133
The optimum resolution for an Editor mission was to terminate a SIE with zero interaction with the Canon.
Telling the Canon about the SUE and getting them to do the job was considered to be one of the worst resolutions because of how it would put the Canon characters in danger.

Right. Will add it to the list of shit we might want to loot.

Loot to get:
Worlds already clear:
C&C - loot some MCVs, the Tech trees. Feed any useful vehicle scrap into the Antaeus [e.g. Subterranean APCs, Sonic tanks].
Loot the weapons of the NOD and GDI commandoes, and the Mammoth Mk. II, if we can find them.
Dark Matter - Ibram Gaunt

Worlds our troops are from:
X-com - if an alien Battleship is about to ransack an X-com base, steal both.
Starcraft - get a Terran Command Center + Tech tree, help Tosh on his Jorium and Terrazine mission.
Ivalice - recruit some more troops.
D&D - I don't know the setting that well, but there's bound to be some lootable shit in here.
Stargate - Go'auld sarcophagus
Star Trek - Industrial replicator
Warcraft - Hitting up some Merc camps or a Tavern might be useful.
Nethack - Loot a Pudding, set up a farm.

>>
>>19507215

True... although given how the circumstances presented themselves, we might get a bit of a pass on that. I don't think HQ would have been happy to know that Ahriman would have had ample opportunity to delve into the inner workings of the SUEs; that would also probably have earned us some evil points as well. In this way, we can at least demonstrate the resilience of a canon and how it will try to right itself in the presence of logic and reason, and we can say that we prevented one of the most dangerous meta-factions out there from attaining very dangerous research subjects.

Besides, we've interacted with canon natives extensively in Horrorworld and in the 8-bit Dystopia world. In this canon, we can at least say that did it in such a way that was appropriate to the canon where necessary, without bringing elements of grimdark or horror into a relatively bright canon. I don't think things would have turned out real well if we decided to ventilate the SUEs at Nekomi Tech rather than try to talk them down.

"That's not what I was going to say. Peorth. Why do you love Tom?" Belldandy asks.

"Well..." Peorth says, blushing lightly. "His eyes are just so deep... and the wind blows easily through his brown hair..."

"Is that it?" Belldandy asks, face completely serious. Peorth frowns.

"No... No, he's also brave... and strong..." Peorth trails off, fumbling for the words.

"All right. If you love him for these qualities, what did you share together to make you realize that?" Belldandy asks, taking a sip of tea as she motions for Peorth to sit. She does so, after a moment's hesitation. "Peorth, you should know this well. Love is like a rose. It blooms from the seed of a crush or attraction when tended carefully, blossoming in the soil of experiences shared between two people. So if it is love..." Belldandy puts the tea down. We hoped he hadn't gone insane in that time." She smiled. "And he hadn't. Though he was reluctant to do so, compared to the other choices, Tom seemed the best."

He's also supposed to be one of the Goddess Knights. Which we proved were sinister entities who were seeking to usurp the goddess' and Keiichi's life. But we need more solid ammunition than that, especially since we're talking to someone who is under SUE compulsion.

>>19509051

Why on earth would the Almighty pick a mortal man to counsel Urd on controlling her demonic side? Belldandy is there for that. And so is Skuld. Some more ammunition to use as we see fit, or to correct if this doesn't prove anything:

And that demon that attacked Peorth under the guise of the old man. This demon was intending to inflict harm upon Yggdrasil by exploiting the wish system to send a virus.

1.) Wouldn't the Yggdrasil system detect demonic influence in a mortal BEFORE making such a potentially world-shaking decision?

2.) Why would a demon do that? The whole POINT of the doublet system was to prevent an escalation of conflicts. If the demon did such a thing, why did no hacking wars occur afterwards, seeing as how that was still apparently fair game? Why have no other demons attempted to hijack the Earth Assistance Hotline?

3.) A goddess first-class with an unlimited license possess powers beyond mortal reckoning, and few demons can truly rival them. Wouldn't Peorth have detected right off the bat if this mortal was not in his right mind, or was being influenced by demons?
>>
>>19509226
What are you even talking about?
That old man wasn't possessed or collaborating with a demon at all, and his wish was completely legitimate.

Point #2 still stands, however. The demon was sending a virus along with the old man's wish to crash Yggdrasil. Yet, if Yggdrasil was so vulnerable to such a thing, why have no other demons attempted such a thing or variations of such? Surely, such a monumental event would have touched off a series of copycats at the very least.

"Well, I like Belldandy's suggestion. Why not regale us of the tale of how he saved you from a demon?" the Avatar asks.

"Well..." Peorth pauses. "I was granting a wish, and a demon was lying in wait for me, going to try and sabotage his wish..."

"Are attempts like that common?" the Avatar asks. "It seems it would run counter to the 'peace' between Heaven and Hell. And how would the demon know he was selected for a wish anyway?"

"I don't know... There is peace yes, but there are still plenty of conflicts between the two. Spies and the like are common..." Peorth says. "And the Goddess Knights are specifically trained to detect things like that."

Those four should be okay for now.
With Urd and Skuld to troubleshoot Yggdrasil, Bell and K1 needing time off together, and Peorth KO'd anyway, I'd say they're busy.

Next steps:

Finish manufacturing the Stun bombs.
Get a few Observers up around Tom's place.
Get the Anti-muggle wards back up.
Get an idea of who's got what nonlethal abilities available.

For instance:
Abjurers can trap someone in smoke and debuff them
Aurors can turn people stiff or stupid
Stun bombs do the usual
X-com operatives can mind control or panic opponents
Agrias can Stop opponents, or confuse them if she's not a high enough level for that yet
Tosh can mind blast. It's a temporary stun but it's a stun.
White mages can throw chloroform.
MIs and KIs should be able to wrestle damn near anyone into submission.
Get Darius + Star-Lord down there for tanking, commanding, and the +20% damage boost from the WC3 items.

That should be enough, but don't Gogogorushin yet. I want to check:
A. Where Tom is
B. If he's agitated or otherwise upset after recent Peorthic events
C. If Tom still has a mana connection to Peorth.
We want to hit him while he's sleeping.

And before we do THAT, we want to tricorder and magic-detect the room he's in and check it for any traps or alarms.

Does that cover all the bases?

Right. Would the 3 Goddesses like to try the link first? They're better at Goddess magic than any of our crew is.
>>
>>19510102
I suppose we could.
But is there anything we should do in the interim?
Like should we contact Holtz or just wait until we're face-to-face to tell him about this mystery organization?
>>
>>19510102
>>19510090

Bring an Al'kesh over and have it direct a reality emitter where Peorth is. Ask the Avatar if any changes occur in the nature of the mana-link when this happens.

If the emitter weakens the link, then we may want to try to reality emitter that Guy had. After probing it for defense mechanisms or such first.
>>
>>19510102
I just counted.
We have 3 more "Bit of Luck"
We have 2 more "Good Fortune"
We have 2 more "Flash of Insight"
We have 9 more "+5 luck aura channels"

As long as we don't do something completely retarded, we'll be fine.
>>
>>19510141
Break the magic link if possible.

Tell Holtz that we're making good progress, Reality should be much more stable now.

Don't tell him about the captured SUEs or the Reality emitter or the new Meta-capable faction. I'm worried about Black Ops getting up our ass for that.

>>19510158
It seems solid.
Try breaking the link, get the observers in position, get Tricordering, Sensor scans, Detect Magic and Scrying up on his base.
Get information before rushing in, especially about Traps, Defenses, and whether the guy's asleep.
>>
We need to break the link at the last second, right when we begin the assault so Tom never learns that were after him.
>>
>>19510187
Good idea. First see if breaking it is possible.

Then, prep up our nonlethal attacks.
I'm going with >>19510025 + Spike, since Spike's already robusted a SUE.
That'll get us lots of nonlethal, some magic, some tanking, and some gunmen for stunning.
Should we risk bringing Virtun along?

And of course, scan his shit before just dropping in. It would be WELL worth spending an hour just scanning and scrying and giving Darius a damn good idea of what he's getting himself into.
>>
>>19510218
He'll be fine. His armor gives him one free breath of life spell per day. So, one free Rez basically.
>>
We need to have Aurors and Abjurers check the apartment for passive wards and defenses, and erecting anti-Muggle wards.
We can also look inside the apartment using a single exographic scanner.
>>
have Vitun cast http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/m/moment-of-prescience before we go.

It's a domain spell slot, so if we don't use it, it's wasted.

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/s/spell-turning as well. Lvl7 domain slot for that one.
>>
Plan:
Spend an hour on recon, including ship scans, detect magic, exographic scans, scrying. Use Stealth + Silence magic to cover your approach.
Get Anti-muggle wards up.
Make note of any traps, physical or magical.
Get Peorth's magic link ready to be broken.

When the link breaks, tele down the Go team, and get ready to go:
3 Abjurers
3 Aurors
An X-com squad (Stun bombs and Psi amps)
3 WHMs.
3 MIs
As many KIs as we have spare stun guns/bombs for
Agrias
Darius
Star-Lord
Spike
Tosh
Virtun
Remember to bring the WC3 gear, for +20% damage, and in case we need to dispel shit.

Also, since Tom uses time magic, any of those Time Armbands we got would be very very helpful. Equip as many people as possible with them.

>>19510328
>>19510364
Do those.
>>
>>19510395
I'm fine with this plan.
>>
>>19510395
We don't have stun bombs or the small launchers that use them.
We're currently making stun gas grenades which are a completely different item, and only enough for one squad.
>>
>>19510435
Are X-commies fine with using those?
>>
>>19510395
How are we going to fit that many people into a single Japanese apartment?
There isn't even enough space for all of those people to even stand inside of the apartment.
>>
>>19510465
What squad size are we looking at, then?
>>
>>19510102
>>19510176
>>19510187
>>19510218

You contact Holtz and tell him everything's OK.
"Well, we're detecting LESS distortion from your sector, so that's good. Keep up the good work, I guess. Uh... that's it? Really? OK then..."

Urd, Skuld, and Belldandy nod.

"We'll try to break the link on your signal," they say. "A concert effort between us, a simul-spell should do it."

The Stun Gas is completed in the dead of the night as your Observers and spies are unable to get a glimpse of Tom in the apartment. Your Aurors are however, able to put up the wards again.

Peorth is still out cold.
>>
>>19510440
Yes. They should be able to use them.
>>
>>19510472
A single squad of X-COM troops, probably only half of them.
Alongside Spike and Agrias, Avatar.
>>
>>19510479
What approach vector are we looking at for the apartment?
Were there any traps?
Avatar + Cheryl, since they're not with the robust team, should be ready to assist the 3 Goddesses with their dispel.

If our squad size is too big, what squad size are we looking at?

I'd say deploy everyone in the building via teleport, have Tosh or Spike lockpick the door to Tom's apartment, and go in stealthy.
Use any Silence or Invis charms we have access to. Stealthy at first.
>>
>>19510479
Strike! strike while the Iron is red hot!
>>
>>19510479
Scanning with your various sensors gives you an estimate of the apartment's size. There's enough room for about 12 people before things get extremely crowded. 6 if you want maximum mobility.
>>
>>19510540
Right.

Darius
Virtun
Spike
Agrias
an Auror
Tosh

And our X-com psi ampers can work from nearby rooms since psi amps don't require line of sight.
>>
My preferred team would be
Agrias, Darius, Vitun, Avatar, Spike, and a Veteran X-commie

For the X-commie, pick the one closest to Hero.
>>
>>19510571
I support this.
>>
>>19510565
>>19510571
That'd combine for 8, should be good enough.

Shall we do this?
>>
>>19510479
Have the Aurors and Abjurers set up outside the apartment.
Have three Al'Kesh on Overwatch with their reality fields set to full power and in position to optimize the reality field of effect.

Have Star-Lord, Spike, Agrias, Vitun, and the Avatar equipped with Bio-Filter masks and ready to breach the apartment a minute after we beam the stun gas bombs into the apartment and have them go off.
>>
>>19510604
This works too.

Bring Guy's Emitter along too - Emitters might be handy vs. this dude.

That'll give us Gas, Gas masks, Reality emitters, Surprise, +20%, Panic attacks from nearby rooms, a spellcasting interruption, and enough asskick to kick large amounts of ass.

The three Norns sing a short but beautiful hymn of dispelling while Cheryl uses her powers in conjunction with the goddesses to widen any breach their magic causes in the link. The four manage their teamwork wonderfully, and after just a few minutes the link vanishes, broken completely.

The attack on Tom doesn't go so well, the Stun Gas teleport redirected onto the breach team as well as the crew of the Al'Kesh that did the beaming. The breach team is immune to the gas as Star-Lord kicks down the door, but the Al'Kesh begins to spiral out of control without a crew!

The Star Destroyers are still hiding behind the moon, so another Al'Kesh pilot teleports in with a gas mask in an attempt to regain control of the vessel.

Star-Lord breaks the door down as the group piles into the apartment. Tom is there, his back to the group.

"Was it really that bad?" he asks. "I wasn't like the others. All I wanted was Peorth, and enough power to justify being with her. I didn't try to merge worlds together, or wrench apart an established couple. She was lonely. So was I."

>>
>>19511183
You're right. Your 'crimes', are of a much less severe nature than everyone else.
But unfortunately that isn't relevant. Despite hiding your presence from Yggdrasil, the universe still groans in protest from your continued presence.
And left alone, you will, through no choice of your own, tear this universe, and hel, and heaven, apart.
That's why we're here Tomaas. We're going to take you somewhere where you can't do any harm and cure you.
After that, who knows. We could bring you back here maybe, if the future permits it.
And who knows, maybe something may arise between you and Peorth again.
You seem to be a good man, and you don't have to look far to see that there's precedence for this kind of thing.

True, but you're not part of the official story.
By changing the story, you warp reality, and throw Ygdrasil out of whack.
We're not planning to kill you. If you'll come along quietly, we can show you a way to act out your fantasies in a way that doesn't harm anyone.

If he had only popped in a fanfiction side-timeline instead of one of the primary Canons, then he might have been able to fly under the TG's radar indefinitely.

As it is, the best that he can hope for is that the SUE-Cure is effective on him, and we hide his identity from TG HQ. Otherwise, as soon as he's cured, a Black Ops hit team will come in and terminate him.

>>If he had only popped in a fanfiction side-timeline instead of one of the primary Canons, then he might have been able to fly under the TG's radar indefinitely.

Well, I don't think it's that easy to find a way into a fanfiction. I assume that it's very difficult to do and I assume one would end up being dumped into (one of) the main canon(s) instead. Supposedly, a fanfiction, or similar works are "un-canons" and don't normally exist?

Yet if the don't normally exist, we still know that these SUEs come from specific places.

What do you people think?
>>
>>19511316

His loneliness contributed directly to a destabilization of an entire sector and its surrounding sectors, and nearly resulted in the AMG canon looking more like the Diablo canon. I can empathize with fixers, but not once did this guy try to make it work. Instead, he endangered lives and manipulated divine beings to make his fantasy come true.

We'll cure him of his SUEness... but he'll have to face the consequences of his actions.

Yoke of Mercy
Enchantment (Compulsion) [Good, Mind-Affecting]
Level: Apostle of peace 2,sorcerer/wizard 2
Components: V, Abstinence
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Close (25 ft. + 5 ft./2 levels)
Target: One creature
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: No
This spell compels a creature up to 4 HD more than the caster’s level to fight in a merciful manner. Specifically, the creature deals nonlethal damage with its attacks, avoids using damaging spells or spell-like abilities, and does not deliver a coup de grace to a helpless foe.
Abstinence Component: You must not have dealt damage, by spell or any other means, to another living creature within the last 8 hours before casting this spell.

If we're playing nice, it's only fair that he should as well.

VISAGE OF THE DEITY, GREATER
Transmutation [Evil, Good]
Level: Cleric 9
Components: V, S, DF
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal
Target: You
Duration: 1 round/level
As lesser visage of the deity, except that you take on the qualities of a half-celestial or half-fiend (see the Monster Manual for complete details). You do not gain the spell-like abilities of these creatures.
Your creature type changes to outsider for the duration of the spell. Unlike other outsiders, you can be brought back from the dead if you are killed in this form.
Good clerics undergo the following transformations:
• You grow feathered wings that allow you to fly at twice your normal speed (good maneuverability).
• You gain +1 natural armor.
• You gain low-light vision.
• You gain resistance 10 to acid, cold, and electricity.
• You gain immunity to disease.
• You gain a +4 racial bonus on saving throws against poison.

I structured TG Quest (or tried to) so that the nature of the game-world would be revealed as the game went on, but I'll nip this in the bud. As far as the Guard knows, there is no such thing as a pure "Fanfiction canon." The closest thing are canons that are stable re imaginings such as Super Robot Wars worlds or the 8-bit dystopia prior to its downfall. Why do some worlds exist while others have never been found? That's a mystery the Guard doesn't spend much time on. In fact, the nature of the "Meta-verse" has a lot of questions the Guard doesn't seem to look into.
>>
Does the Guard know that these worlds are fictional? Do they have the manga and videogames and whatnot to reference them?

Does TSAB? Do they have their own anime on reference to check themselves for reality distortions?
>>

Agrias, hit Tom with a Slow spell!

Farseers, help our troops with Battle Fortune!
>>
>>19511664
The TSAB does not know.

The Transpace Guard is, of course aware that the worlds around them are rooted in fiction. They have no idea why or how, only that the places they explore and protect seem to all be linked back to media on Earth. There are many theories, but no one has ever proven anything.
>>
>>19511625
Yeah I'd say have him do that, and then maybe this.
IVINE PRESENCE
Transmutation
Level: Blackguard 2, cleric 2, druid 2, paladin 2
Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Personal
Target: You
Duration: 10 minutes/level (D)
Your back straightens, your eyes flash, and your aura pulses with divine might.
You channel a tiny spark of the divine, granting yourself nearly inhuman presence. You gain a +5 sacred (if your deity is good or neutral) or profane (if your deity is evil) bonus on Intimidate checks made against anyone who does not worship your deity. When making such checks against individuals who have one alignment component opposed to yours (chaos/law or good/evil), this bonus becomes +10. When making such checks against someone whose alignment is diametrically opposed to yours, the bonus becomes +15.

Have Vitun try and intimidate Tom into surrendering maybe?

That means the amount of clones of each fictional character must be a LOT smaller than I initially thought, if fanons have no part in it.

Makes me wonder.
At what point did Ruby become a recruitable thing?
At what point did the KI become a recruitable thing?
Presumably they exist in some canon somewhere.
So, what drives a particular piece of work written on Meta-Earth to 'spawn' a Canon?
How does it know, to, say, spawn 8-bit dystopia, while not spawning Goddess Knight?
Would Garry's Mod and Second Life even exist in the Meta, being basically "a miserable pile of Fanworks" as dracula would put it?
So many questions.
>>
>>19511688
You know, this makes me think that the Meta is some sort of Noosphere. A kind of "field of knowledge" like how the Earth has an electromagnetic field, humanity generates a gestalt knowledge field.

The meta would be the field, and the canons the ideas suspended within it.

If we ever come across the STALKER verse, we should chat with C-Consciousness to see if our theory has any merit. They could run an in-house experiment and see if it works.
>>
>>19511638
Just keep spamming Panic Attack on Tom.
Tosh, mind blast him if you're nearby. You can target that shit through Supply Depots, so Japanese walls won't stop you.

Spike ... Disarm.
Agrias, Stasis sword.
Darius, protect people.
Star-Lord, Disarm. (Literally, if possible)
Virtun, do whatever Codeki says
Avatar, got anything to stun this asshole?
>>
>>19511798
and what of fanons with highly divergent and openly different worlds like Dornian Heresy, FoE, Red vs Blue, etc. and then there's crossovers.........
>>
>>19511798
Ruby is a published universe (kinda).
The KI are from the normal Warhammer 40k Canon. It's left malleable enough that they could exist there.

My theory is that there are fanfiction canons, it's just that the guard doesn't give a shit about them because they're unstable and flicker.

Virtun lays a hand on Spike, channeling a potent Heal into him, and restoring the gunman to full health. He groans, then nods in thanks.

"Thanks, preacher. Even better than Elaine and Lyla! Don't tell them I said that, though," he says, retrieving his pistol.

"I'm a little amazed at how someone that basically just mind-controlled someone else tries to keep up the victim angle," Star-Lord comments, Anguirel clanging against Tom's own sword. "Then again, I guess I've become a connoisseur of hypocrisy."

The Farseers begin tapping into the combat team's minds, sending them visions of correct paths to take to ensure their survival as Agrias attempts to use her sword to cast a Slow spell on Tom. Tom shakes the spell off, however, growling at Agrias.

"What IS that sword? You want time? I'll give you all the time in the world..." Tom murmurs, bringing up his right hand. "Gate of Time! Obey me!"
>>
>>19511810
So ... what causes one idea to spawn a canon, while another idea not to?

Or maybe I'm thinking about this the wrong way.

Maybe it DOES spawn the ideas, but the easiest way to spawn some of them, is to adjust a Canon that already exists, rather than create a new one?

And SUEs are a manifestation of this ... bump ... in the knowledge field.
>>
>>19511798
The reasons the Knights Inductor are recruitable is due to the nature of the Canon they come from.
Namely, that there are official rules on how to make original chapters.
They are the result.
Also, Ruby is an original work, so thus it's a canon.
>>
> Tom murmurs, bringing up his right hand. "Gate of Time! Obey me!"

SUEs are just like mary-sues. Some person creates an awful, awful character and it somehow generates attention, usually through a circle-jerk of sue creators. Communities that don't allow criticism are a good source of sues.

If these canons live and die by the number of real people that follow them, then SUEs are mary-sue characters that have enough people ranting about how beautiful their 26-colored eyes are.

The only permanent solution to the SUE menace would be to make contact with real Earth, explain the situation, and have the real authorities hunt down and destroy all reference to sue characters.

Tosh interrupts Tom with a Mindblast, temporarily stunning Tom and allowing Darius to swing at the weapon in his hand, Ringil actually slicing the longsword in two as it cleaves past it. Tom shrugs off the effect far faster than most, though.

"In Zu!" the Avatar calls out, sprinking some dust in the air. Tom wobbles on his feet, but shrugs it off as well, fury tightening his face.

"Gate of Time!" he calls again. "I DEMAND YOU ANSWER MY CALL!"

As Virtun attempts to cast Dimensional Anchor, each of your away team suddenly freezes right in their tracks, as if time had been stopped. Face ashen, Tom picks up the shattered remains of his sword and looks at your operatives with fury.

"Game of Time," he states. "Cut off the source."

Sniper manages to take a perch, waiting for Tom to go past the window of his apartment to take his shot.

"Do you think you can affect me with time magic? I control the Gate of Time!" Tom says with scorn as the Avatar's Time Stop spell fizzles. The SUE walks over to Star-Lord's frozen form and wrests Anguirel from his grasp, turning to face Agrias and the Avatar with the stolen blade. Once we have him in stasis, one way or another, we should move the SUE's we've captured over to the All Under Heaven.
Have the brig festooned with reality emitters and secured with knockout gas, and have the SUE's contained there.
Make sure that the Indefatigable is secure in the AUH's main hangar bay, and then have it transit back to base. Call up Holtz and let him know that the Storm is staying for an extra few hours to make sure that the reality distortions are all gone.

Once the All Under Heaven transits out, we can make sure with the Storm's sensors that all reality distortions are gone.

Also, because of the 13 hour time difference, it's the afternoon in America, and we can collect up the ice cream we promised Skuld, the booze we promised Urd and that we need to get for Holtz, and with some hacking to create credit cards with $100,000 credit limits, give Cheryl, Agrias, Lyla, Elaine, Lavian, Alicia, and the others the shopping trip to Manhattan that they wanted.

3.) Notify goddesses that Tom has been neutralized. Gently remind goddesses that DOUBLET SYSTEM is still down, and needs restarting. While stuff is happening, Cheryl and whomever else is still at the Morisato residence should get ready for extraction. As heart-warming and inspiring as a scene with Cheryl and the other goddesses would be, that level of interaction with canon natives when our work is essentially done may be pushing it.

4.) Get copious amounts of booze/ice-cream using TG currency hax. Transport said copious amounts of ice cream/booze to K-1's residence for Skuld and Urd. This amount of stuff should make even the most open-handed Orlanthi go "maybe we're going a bit overboard on the sacrifices guys" even if they were sacrificing to Urox in the midst of a Chaos apocalypse.

OTHER: Holy shit that was close. We need to brush up on our preparation skills, and not get so tempted to engage in dialogue with a SUE. Even if that was the "final boss" of this stage, that was more hair-raising than the fight with Ebon Night//Queen Zeal.

>*actions*.

Please refrain from that in the future, as it is considered to be as bad as using emoticons.
>>
Remember, before we go have one of our guys salute/thumbs up Urd and tell her to keep fighting the good fight, and then give Bell a really nasty glare, shake their head and say "I'm very disappointed in you."
>>
>>19512815

About Gaunt...

If we are able to rez him, would he be OK with all the unsanctioned psykers, eldar council, and other miscellaneous bits of heresy that we have going for us? And what about that whole dynamic with Ahriman that we have going?
>>
>>19512957
?
Better not annoy goddesses.
Now get more booze for holtz.
>>
>>19512966
We can at least give him back to Holtz. Apparently Gaunt was looted from a canon in progress, and needs to go back.
>>
>>19512967
She totally deserves it.
>>
>>19512957

We may not even know that yet, as far as the meta-verse goes. And at any rate, that's beyond our judgement and jurisdiction. We must accept that they do these things because they are necessary.
>>
>>19512980
Doesn't mean we can't shake our head and go "Tsk Tsk."
>>
>>19512992
>>19512992

It opens up a risk of revealing the nature of the metaverse, or at least revealing a hint of it. Nobody is supposed to know that except for Bell, the Almighty, Hild, and a handful of other select individuals. Tsking or Tutting or what have you could blow our cover story of being a special-ops team sent by another Heavenly agency.
>>
>>19513005
Haven't we already done quite abit that reveals we know more then we're letting on and besides, as a heavenly body who takes care of these improper alternations, we'd logically know about it to make sure it hasn't been changed. Thus we can tsk tsk, without letting them in on anything other then we know about something we disapprove of.
>>
Guys, less Meta-Meta and more

- Looting Tom
- Looting a good supply of high-value diamonds
- SHOPPING TRIP for everyone who wants to go (If only for Cheryl to try and start paying her back for the sheer awesome she's been this whole time)
- Massive booze buying for Holtz (we should ask Urd if she knows where some of the really good shit is. Maybe some of her private stock if she has such a thing?)
- Final miscellaneous tweaks and mop-ups ("For the record, we were never here. Nothing out of the ordinary happened. It was all just some sort of weird dream. Now go back to sleep or whatever..")

That should about cover it. Do NOT tsk or anything at Bell. That is Meta-Meta and beyond our in-game knowledge. Stop it.
>>
>>19512992

.....

We don't know that. The archives are out of date.
BUT we can go to K1 "You know, I think its time to up the game. You might not get another chance. Considering what happened to you."
>>
>>19513032
I thought this was the quest where it was okay to use meta knowledge. To say something is beyond meta knowledge makes no goddamn sense. And until MetaOp comes out and goes 'You totally don't know that" if we know something, we know it.
>>
>>19513029
I disapprove of interacting with Canon natives in this manner.
There is no need to be mean to anyone. Our task is complete.

Misc. tweaks and mopups: You mean like getting Obliviates on K1's sister over the whole Chaos mess?

>>19513042
I asked, he said we didn't know it. :P
>>
>>19513029

Well, you can tsk tsk all you want, just keep it to yourself. We're supposed to be impartial protectors of the canon. Besides, we don't know nearly enough about the circumstances surrounding K-1's initial contract to judge. And it quite nicely absolves him of any of the wussiness that is normally associated with protagonists in his position.
>>
>>19513045
Show some proof.
>>
>>19513050
We are impartial. We're not doing anything to change it, we're just tsk tsking at her.
>>
>>19513042

Well,MetaQuest OP said something like "Its going to be more like 'What do you mean the archives are out of date' rather then 'we instantly about bell's dark secret'"In some other thrend.

Considering MetaQuest OP has properly said good night. I guess he/she/it has fallen asleep at the keyboard again.
>>
>>19513063
She is a goddess of the present
She is not your waifu
>>
>>19513076
Seeing as you're bringing Waifus up, I suppose she's yours. Going to go on about how your poor Bell-chan had no choice and she's perfect and pure?

I'm actually more fond of Urd, in any case.
>>
>>19513096
Best trolling 10/10
>>
>>19513096

(shifty eyes)
I....

I didn't like Urd and Skuld when they first showed up.

My nicknames for them were.
"Call me for the threesome" Urd
"I want to be an incestuous lesbian" Skuld
>>
>>19513162
Hahah. I always thought Urd seemed way more fun, and Skuld was that nerdy girl who's kind of annoying but still cute.

Bell was always too perfect waifu for my tastes.
>>
Why the desire to res Gaunt?

We had to tiptoe around him and make him think he was working for some branch of the Inquisition. We'd never be able to pull that off now, considering the types of people and technology we have on board. And frankly, we have enough melee combatants already.

Voting against wasting 10k gp of crushed diamonds on rezzing a guy we don't really need.
>>
>>19513162
(action) is also heavily frowned upon. I would suggest you to quit the habit in all forms for the duration of your stay on 4chan.
