Greeting elegant/tg/entleman. Last time, we’ve had a small talk with the mantis that isn’t back on her feet yet and exchanged some information with the Tanuki that seem to have been invited to the castle, and it was revealed that the agent responsible for the charming was found dead, suicide to avoid capture. Next came some charming while trying to appoint her to the eventual position of spymaster of the war effort and it seem she’s quite receptive to the idea.But now, this consumption ability we have has shown itself to be rather… worrisome and so we’ve decided to try the library for anything related, for right now we seem to possess the time.
It didn’t take much effort to find a guide for the library, apparently the castle had a inbuilt one of moderate size that had been commissioned by the queen herself a few years back, most of the books from the library outside the castle found their way here and from there the young queen kept increasing the collection because, apparently, she read much more than she work. This castle seems more and more like a manor.That catgirl servant is a real blabbermouth, but you’d certainly not refuse the help of a guide, it seems the library is deep into the bowels of the building, right into the basement where no windows are constructed, the way is light by lamp even during the late morning.Tanuya was sleeping very tightly so you’ve decided to simply leave her there to sleep, the floor was covered by a small comfortable mattress and the day is warm, she’s in hood hands anyway, your left is flanked by the angel staying as stoic and discipline as you’ve ever saw her, always armed and geared up in armor while looking straight ahead but sometime her eyes cross yours and she look away quite fast. Behind you is Bletsia, her progress perfectly even with your march thank to the obscene amount of legs she got, she’s waving and slithering on the floor with much more dexterity than any lamia, that’s something you’re more than willing to bet solid gold on, the girl tend to nibble on your shoulder with her mandible but you’ve yet to be poisoned so you feel safe enough. ‘’Here’s the door to the Library ambassador, the keeper is very likely to be present but if you need another guide, servants come and go from this area as well as soldiers’’You did cross path with some of those, you simply nod to the girl and off she goes. >cont
Next, the simple door to the library is opened by Hadraniel as she step inside without your consent, but you have to admit to be impressed, this library is big, especially for being in a castle.Two stories tall you’d say, there’s two set of ladders leading to the balcony upstairs where the large, second rows of books are situated, with rows upon row of large bookcase adorning the walls and floor with most of everything illuminated by lamp of alchemical nature: they glow a dull white without releasing magic.Hmm but something does feel unusual here, a slight feeling of discomfort…The sound of light snoring is picked up next, Bletsia also suddenly spring ahead, slithering fast as she look and… smell the various rows of books, but you see that, sprawled on a large desk, is a rather tall Crow Tengu, sleeping soundly with her cheek on some open books while her two wings take almost all the space of her support, short hair of jet black adorned with a small conic hat give a rather comical impression, but you spy some talons that would mean business in a confrontation.She’s sleeping soundly at least, for Hadraniel various clicking as she move are more than telling enough for presence.

After taking in the large library and walking in circle in the middle for a few moments, Hadraniel suddenly started to hover and fly up to the balcony, her wings produce some kind of breeze each time they flap and even if she’s out of view now, you can feel this strange breeze that seem almost natural.But again there this feeling that keeps you on edge, it’s hard to pinpoint or identify but it’s enough to make your step louder when you approach the sleeping Tengu, a quick look to the side and you see the centipede slithering through the alleys of books with incredible dexterity given her long body.‘’uguu…’’She’s talking in her sleep? Anyhow you don’t have time for this, looking through this place row by row is going to take you a week so, you a firm hand, you wake the girl by tapping the desk…Her eyes lazily plop open and you frown slightly at the crimson color, but it seem she just froze with the most tired looking face you’ve ever see someone have, you almost wonder if she’s bre-‘’Whooooa whooa!’’Her wings suddenly flap and airborne she goes, the sudden noise caused both Bletsia and the angel to look at her, with the blue armored creature clutching her spear.‘’Whooa! Who the hell!? Why are you here?’’She asks, sending papers everywhere while the frenetic flapping of her wings allows her to easily stay levitating.Off to a good start.

And so the search started, the Tengu went off to the second story with Hadraniel taking the second part, both of them having wings mean looking through the high bookcase something easy, while you were left with the first floor and a rather curious Bletsia that, somehow, found a game running through the alley and curving between each obstacle with a flexibility that was, honestly, scary. You’ve charged yourself with finding books on prophet, magical phenomenon and, if you could, inexplicable disease but so far the results were poor, most of what you found were various retelling of the Great Crusade, it would seem even the monsters are very fond of the 13 heroes, there was also quite a bit of different work about the history of the island, its geography, its various plant life and of course some books detailing the various Monsters, with some philosophical entry on the nature of corruption that you decided to pick, but overall the wield was rather… poor.Then again you’re nature of Consumer seem to be an enigma to Ame-no-Uzume and her mother. But…It seem your star shined, one armful of books you were examining one of the furthest bookcase on the wall (only to find that it was erotic literature), but this impression of ‘’wrong’’ suddenly sprang, but you weren’t feeling anything magical, no it was… something else and when you looked, between two books, you saw something unusual: a slight uneven structure on the wall, but you soon identified it to be a door, a metallic one at that, covered in dust where this ‘’wrongness’’ you keep feeling in your guts is originating from.A hidden door in the library?>>19422460

A man will be curious and form that need dreams and ambition are born, right? This bookcase is right between two others, meaning there no real grip anywhere and its stuffed full, but even so you grab the sturdiest part you can find and slowly, slowly pull while looking at your surroundings, but you can only see Hadraniel on the other end of the second story between two column, she seem busy enough, the Tengu is probably above while Bletsia continue her obstacle course with a flexibility a Lamia would never match. So you pull very, very carefully no books fall, everything is staying in place, your grip is absolutely worthless and that damn huge bookcase is both taller and heavier than you yet someone you manage to pull enough to get a more comfortable side grip and form there its smooth sailing, with nobody seeing anything while you are in clear view.How did you manage that…? Still the door. It’s one of metal and, even with all the dust, the mark of the books allow you to spot some form of runes, but nothing magical emanate from it, so those are probably decoration. You spot the doorknob; it’s a very small one as expecting so getting a grip is rather hard but then…Well as expected.It’s locked, the hole for the key is easily seen, right under your hand.

Mage are often describe as unsubtle, brutish and to the point and you can’t exactly disagree, when two mages duke it out the confrontation end fast with usually one clear winner, your kind isn’t a subtle one.But that doesn’t mean you, at the very least, aren’t.A mage of water is not limited to ice even if it became something of a specialization over the years, you index is now right on the keyhole and you take in several deep breath, calming your heartbeat while entering Focus slowly, unlike every single time you did it on your journey. The amount of magic in you in finite, it’s almost insulting but with a brief look back, Bletsia seem to have disappeared but then you see that the Tengu seem to have exchanged place with Hadraniel, the angel is nowhere to be seen.Probably above.Still you concentrate, a small gelatinous water extend from your finger and from there, it enter the keyhole and you start to morph it slowly to the perfect key, each nooks and cranny is neatly identified into the gelatin and after a few moments, you harden it with ice and create a small handle, turn it and…Bin-‘’What are you doing?’’You don’t jump, you simply freeze on the spot, Hadraniel small voice is not enough to carry to the other end of the library and with another look, the Tengu is gone, however your companion is looking at the door, the moved bookcase then at you with a frown.‘’…’’Her silence speaks volume.

The room inside is completely pitch black, but after a few steps the light reveal a few row of old, dusty, ruined bookcase completely free of anything, with one desk in taters, dust cover every surface to the point of making breathing difficult but soon enough ,you spot it.In the middle of the room, put inside a glass of alchemy, lie a small book that would fit in the palm of your hand, it doesn’t actually seem to be a book but something to take note with and that feeling of ‘’wrongness’’ seeping through, the only way to open it would be to break the glass but Hadraniel suddenly start coughing but, when you look at her and offer help, she simply wave you away.‘’I am… fine, don’t concern yourself with me’’So she say, but this… thing this energy, it feel like corruption, but not one that awaken your hunger. No, it’s afraid, almost whimpering.

Since some are still around, how about some speculation?Something I can't wrap my head around is what's the point sending Rhy back with Siggy? She's a figurehead leader and from what we've seen not even a good one at that. She has neither the will or the ability to lead so she'd be a poor envoy/coordinator for the alliance in Ame's domain and since she doesn't do anything in Rahall either it's unlikely that this is part of some grab for power on the Regent's part who holds and exercises all the power already anyway.
