TONIGHT IS A NIGHT FOR BLOOD!

AND THAT BLOOD... SHALL BE YOURS!

TG QUEST!!!

Last thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/19308577/

Against all sense and reason, you were able to extract Koh from the temporal anomaly and shove him into the containment bay with ease, leaving Urd stuck in the anomaly for the time being. You then trapped, 'debugged', and freed Mara with the hope she'd try to restore Nidhogg to normal, while you trapped and threw Trevor into containment as well.

Of course something you should've thought of is that Mara's track record of actually ACCOMPLISHING what she sets out to do is about on the same level as the /tg/ dice generator giving non-crazy results.

Day: 2
Current Objectives: Restore Ah My Goddess world to natural state, remove SUE infestation, repair damage to space-time. 2/6 SUEs neutralized.

Fleet Location: Main force hiding behind the moon. Indefatigable and Al'Keshes running operations planetside. Oncoming Storm in extreme orbit for sensor support.

Inventory: http://pastebin.com/HGsJUZZb
Descriptions: http://pastebin.com/UpKiRZnh

---------
The early evening of your second day on this mission is filled with a sense of great accomplishment. Two SUEs have been not only defeated, but CAPTURED! A feat never before entered into the annals of the Transpace Guard, even if one was extremely weak and the other was already frozen in time.

So of course SOMETHING has to muck it up.

"New time-space signatures, sir!" the call comes up from the comm/scan station. "Several transpace portals are being ripped open planetside, around the Nekomi Tech campus!"
>>
Prepare to beam down troops. Can we see where they lead, or should we assume it's the Warhammer 40k universe?
>>
>>19401982
You cannot identify where the portals lead.

Which troops are you deploying?

"Another set of signatures, sir!" an officer calls out. "In the wilderness around the city! Only two, though."
>>
>>19401926
What time is it, and where is Ryu?
>>
>>19402000
>>19401926
Tosh, the Delta Greens, Units's, and KI be ready to beam down. Send an observer down and observe for now.
>>
>>19402025
6 PM around, and Ryu is still sneaking around the city, shooting and slashing bugs. Given the lack of complaint, it may be that he's working off some aggression.
>>
>>19402000
Get the Knights (all of them), UNIT, the Shadowrunner teams, Prawns, TG Soldiers, White Mage Squads, Zombie Hunters, X-COM Squad, Mobile Infantry, 2 X-COM NOVA squads, Aurors, Dystopian Squad, MetPharm High-Sec Trooper squad, and BLU Team prepped on the 6 Al'Kesh we have.

Send 1 Drone squad to the portals at the Nekomi Tech campus, the other Drone squad to the wilderness portals. They are to observe and not engage.

Have the Mad Cats, Tomahawks, and Von Luckners prepare on the Overlord (equipped with an Incursion holo-emitter) for an orbital insertion. Include 3 Baneblades.

Have the RVF-25 provide ECM support to the VF-25F squadron.

Have all non-magical/psionic troops equipped with cortical stacks.

Does this quest have an IRC room?

Yep.

We've also got a steam group. http://steamcommunity.com/groups/metaquest
>>
>>19402054
Delta Greens are already on the ground.
They and Douglas were doing surveillance on the goddess knights.
>>
>>19402063
Alright, can our scanners detect if there are any civilians near the portals?
If so, we need to get them out of there without knowing something's wrong.
>>
>>19402080
I'm running the numbers and we don't have enough cortical stacks for all of those troops.

We will need to either have the White Mages, Lyla, and Elaine make up the difference by casting ReRaise, or cut the number of troops we send down.

We can keep everyone on stand-by, but first response should probably be UNIT, 1 Knight Inductor Tactical Squad, the Mobile Infantry, the Prawns and BLU Team. That's 43 cortical stacks in use.

Also, have the Hercules construct some Panther scout buggies with cloaking devices and Soulchips to scout ahead, and a pair of Scarabs with nano-repair modules to fix up the power armor used by these troops.
>>
>>19402054
>>19402080

The Drone squads allow their Observers to go first since they are cloaked, the remaining drones remaining at a distance, spread out to make any interception work less difficult.

The Observers arrive at the campus to find a scene of pure chaos... literally.

Gibbering demons and maniacal marines in tainted armor pull themselves through glowing cracks in the air itself to immediately attack any soul poor enough to be in range. Several students are cut down, blasted apart, and devoured whole in scant seconds. Screams permeate the air as everyone on the college campus bolts in all directions, desperate to flee the area.

As the carnage continues, you easily recognize the mark of Khorne on several of the Chaos Marines... but also spot a few with the mark of Slaneesh, Nurgle, and Tzeentch.

"Reality distortion moving towards the portals!" one of the comm/scan officers calls out. "One of our SUEs is on the move!"

(cont.)
>>
>>19402201
BLU team can respawn, so they don't really need c. stacks.

>>19402213
By the time the Drone Squad reaches the wilderness portals, they are already gone, with no obvious sign they were even in the area...
>>
>>19402213
Probably the Vindi. We should send troops down, but he can probably handle it. If he gets wounded, capture or finish him, otherwise he'll get a powerboost due to Bullshit DBZ rules.
>>
>>19402213
...If we help the SUE (probably Brett) kill Chaos, he's more likely to trust us, which gives us opportunity to backstab him.
Any ideas on an attack strategy?
>>
>>19402248
>BLU team can respawn, so they don't really need c. stacks.
Yeah, that's why I didn't count them in the number of cortical stacks that need to be used.

>>19402213
Have the Hercules construct 6 Hornet attack helicopters with Soulchip pilots and cloaking devices (weapon: Scalpel machine gun). Have one of the Al'Kesh do site-to-site transports of the choppers to beam them to the wilderness area where the portals were detected. Have them activate cloaks and fan out, and have the Observers and the Drone Squad continue searching for whatever came through the portals.
>>
rolled 82 = 82

>>19402308
Your forces begin to search the area as stealthily as possible. It may take a while for results, given the amount of ground to cover.
>>
"Reality distortion continuing to move towards Chaos forces! ETA: 5 minutes!" one of the comm/scan officers calls out.

"Chaos forces are continuing to rampage... Local law enforcement is enroute..." another states. "Priority message from Mr. Cartland and the Delta Greens! The remaining two Goddess Knights appear to be preparing for combat!"
>>
>>19402213
>>19402308
As for the college campus, make sure that everyone in the fast response group has cortical stacks implanted.
Fast Response Group: UNIT, 1 Knight Inductor Tactical Squad, the Mobile Infantry, the Prawns. Heroes: Darius, Star-Lord, Finalon. Make sure that Finalon has tritanium arrowheads to be able to punch through enemy armor.

BLU Team goes down first, followed by the members of the Fast Response Group. They are to land at the edge of the chaos, have the Von Luckners transported down with a trio of Scarabs equipped with Soulchips and nano-repair modules to create a safe zone.
Try to lead the civilians to the safe zone.

Have everyone marked with JSDF Ground Forces insignia, and on the vehicles, to make us look like a JGDF Fast Response Unit.

We don't directly engage Chaos, letting the SUE take care of most of them.
>>
>>19402384
>The remaining two Goddess Knights appear to be preparing for combat!
This could be our chance to get the Vindi-SUE and 2 of the goddess knights in one single action.

I'm still for this plan:
>>19402389
Except that now we have 5 of our 6 Al'Kesh come down to the area in order to have their Reality Emitters ready to be used to suppress the SUE's when we fight them.
Until then they can help with overwatch over the safe zone.
>>
Use reality emitters to de-power the sues during the battle, chaos forces should make quick work of them. Though, let them kill off some chaos forces first before doing that so that clean up will be easier.
>>
We can attempt to take Belldandy and Skuld out of the picture by contacting them, and telling them we've found Urd. That we don't know how to safely get her out of where she is, and that we're hoping they can help.

We then take them to the Moon, and give them modified Emergency Transporter Armbands to isolate them from the time distortion; but have the power cells in the armbands only have enough power for 5 minutes.
They'll go in, see Urd, and as they walk towards her, the armbands will run out of power and trap the two of them in the time distortion until we can neutralize the SUE's.
>>
rolled 30 = 30

>>19402389
Your forces are hastily rallied and sent down even as your officers continue to funnel you updates.

"Confirmed! "Brett" has engaged the Chaos forces! Repeat, "Brett" has engaged!"

"Goddess Knights have left the house and seem to be heading for the combat zone!"
>>
>>19402506

Negative. The last thing we want are those SUEs flatlining while still linked to a goddess.

I sense a draw play here. If Chaos knows we're here, they're trying to gather everything into one nice neat place to chew on or corrupt. Let's get a cordon of our own around the combat area and see if we can't start transporting civilians out of the danger zone. Let this reality's two biggest problems whittle each other down a bit while we save some lives from distinctly un-Canon Bad Ends.
>>
>>19402552
We need confirmation on whether the goddesses are also making a move.
Are Belldandy and Skuld also moving?

Also, what about the goddess knight for Peorth? Have we been able to detect him at all?
>>
>>19402559
>The last thing we want are those SUEs flatlining while still linked to a goddess.
Actually, that would be a good outcome, since that would undo the enthrallment that's compelling the goddess in question.
>>
Shadowrunner teams are too underpowered unless they have delta-grade cyberware. Like, if they got the implants to be like Agent Smith, or are like, Adepts with Killing Hands, they can't fight Chaos in open combat.
>>
>>19402559

I'd lead with the more blendable types- let's save the big guns and the weird robots and such for when it's time to drop a bigger hammer. Obviously alien things are going to get mistaken for Chaos forces and end up unpredictably destroyed or worse. The Von Luckners and more conventional assets get set up, and let's hold the rest in ready reserve while we start getting transporter lockons on all those humans getting nommed for Chaos. Lobbing heavy fire in there is going to create collateral damage and turn this in a three-way battle that'd probably level the place in short order.
>>
>>19402600
Is anyone but the Knights Inductor really qualified to fight Chaos?
>>
Don't waste the Zombie Hunters on Chaos forces. 1 Bloodthirster is enough to TPK them.
>>
Also, have Vitun Align people's weapons to LAW. Should do a massive damage boost against Chaos.
>>
>>19402600
That's why they're not part of the first teams on the ground.

The ones that are, either have respawn capability, or are equipped with power armor.

And the other troops are for support, dealing with panicked civilians and providing long-range fire support.
>>
>>19402616
Everyone else should avoid getting into melee with Chaos. We need to be careful of Nurgle's Rot infecting our troops too.
>>
>>19402592

We still had to purge Mara even after we had her SUE neutralized. An irrational, unsealed Goddess First Class going postal cause her favorite SUE pet bit the dust will effectively cause an even worse reality distortion than currently possible. And if we don't get as lucky as we did with the previous ones...

Let's get the innocents out. If nothing else, it denies their souls for Chaos to burn to bring worse things from the Warp, and should let the SUEs concentrate on beating up Chaos-things (and hence getting worn down faster).
>>
>>19402611
Which ones specifically?

I've specified that the Von Luckners create a safe zone where civilians will get herded to and beamed to.
Teams on the ground will be BLU Team, a Knight Inductor Tactical Squad, the Mobile Infantry, and the Prawns.
Heroes are Darius, Star-Lord, and Finalon.

Everyone is given Japanese Self-Defense Force patches and insignia, so it all looks like prototype gear.
>>
>>19402657
>We still had to purge Mara even after we had her SUE neutralized.
No, Trevor wasn't neutralized, just captured and put in containment. Mara would have been freed from his control if he was killed.
We saw with the Royal Pain that a SUE's mind control is still in effect, even if the SUE itself is surrounded by reality fields so that they can't use any of their other powers.
The mind control only breaks once they're killed.
>>
>>19402635

Come to think of it, WTF has been letting the SUEs resist that crap?
>>
>>19402701
They're SUES. Duh.
>>
Oh, and MetaOp. Send some of our unimportant troops to loot diamonds in Africa. We need them for our "Fun" spells.
>>
>>19402701
>WTF has been letting the SUEs resist that crap?
They're SUE's. Bending and distorting reality to fit in with their own personal worldview is what they do.
As soon as they realize they've been infected, they will the infection away.

That's why anti-SUE combat protocol requires either a reality emitter to enforce reality upon a SUE, or we kill them before they realize what's happening.
>>
>>19402744
Seconded for Diamond looting.

Alternatively, we loot the jewellry retailers instead for the refined diamonds.

Cut & polished diamonds are much, much more valuable than raw diamonds.
>>
>>19402744
>>19402760
You don't need troops for that, when we have transporters and advanced sensors.
But since they're all tied up with the fighting going on at Nekomi Tech, we can't really give our troops transporter backup to get them out of trouble when looting, either.
>>
>>19402582
"Negative! No response from target "Tavin."

"Goddesses are not moving from the house... confirmed. They seem to be waiting in the house."

>>19402552
Your forces beam down via the Al' Keshes, the Von Luckner tanks immediately launching a deadly salvo of cannon and missile fire that completely tears apart a small group of unlucky Chaos Marines armed with bolters. With those foes slain, a small safe zone is creating, the tanks using overwhelming firepower on any of the scattered Chaos forces that draws near to keep it that way.

Your Fast Response Group has far less success. Appearing at the edge of the campus, BLU takes the lead, heading directly towards a screaming mob of fleeing civilians pouring from a nearby building.

"Hey, hey! Running's a great idea, but you're running the wrong way! Run over that way, we're tryin' to evac you!" Scout yells. He is met only with a few confused yammerings in Japanese.

"EEDIOTS!" Medic screams at the crowd of students and teachers. He gestures to the far off tanks. "STAND ON ZE POINT!"

(Cont.)
>>
>>19402786
Goddammit we forget to give BLU Team Federation Universal Translators AGAIN!
FUCK!
>>
>>19402786
Dammit, have the Indefatigable replicate Universal Translators for everyone and beam them down to our troops so that we aren't left with playing charades with the civilians.
>>
The civilians don't stop to talk, but continue to run past BLU team, though luckily most of them head towards the tanks. Almost immediately afterwards, the wall of the building explodes outward, a trio of Khorne Beserkers howling a battle cry as they fall upon BLU team. Caught by surprise, the casualties are high. A Berserker leaps forward to decapitate Sniper as he tries to raise his rifle. Demoman brings the Eyelander up and scoffs.

"Ye call that a decapitation? I'll show YEW a-" the one-eyed Scot's words are cut off as his neck becomes a fountain of blood seconds later.

Spy immediately cloaks and is lost to sight as Soldier fires his rocket launcher at point blank range, sending both a Beserker and himself flying backwards from the resulting explosion.

"BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD!" one roars as Scout is caught by a chain axe to the gut. "SKULLS FOR THE SKULL THRONE!"

"IT IS KILLING TIME!!!" Heavy roars in response as Medic activates the Ubercharge, the pair standing their ground and opening fire. The Khornites strike them again and again in rage, their chain-axes doing nothing against temporary invincibility. One lets out a crazed howl of frustration and chops off his own hand before resuming the futile attacks.

Spy decloaks and attempts to backstab one of the Khornites, aiming for a damaged chink in the armor. His aim is true and the knife sinks in to the hilt, but that's a pinprick to a Khornite. The angered marine whirls around and bisects the Spy with a single sweep of his chainaxe.
>>
>>19402815
Can't we just beam them down to our pilots and have them speak through the speaker system?
>>
>>19402830
Yeah that's... about as well as expected.
>>
>>19402832
The Von Luckner crews also count as troops on the ground.
>>
>>19402830
Spy did better than I'd thought he'd do. He actually got a knife into one of them before dying.
>>
Hm. We could have Vitun and the Abjurers summon a bunch of monsters and then beam them to the battlefield.
>>
Lets beam down some Knights Inductor. They likely have training in controlling a panicked crowed and killing CSM.
>>
>>19402830
MetaOP, has the Hercules been equipped with an Incursion Holo-Emitter yet?
If so, have it move next to the Oncoming Storm so that it will be easier for the Al'Kesh we designated as our tranporter to beam vehicles from the Hercules to where we need them on the ground.

Have the Hercules construct 3 Phoenix gunships with Soulchip pilot, dual Scalpel machine guns, and deflector shields. Have them constructed with JSDF colors and have them beamed to the Safe Zone to help provide air cover.

Then have the Hercules construct 4 Rhino tanks with Scalpel machine guns, Soulchip pilot, and 1 deflector shield for close in support of the Von Luckners.

Finally, construct 3 Puma scout buggies with Soulchip, Scalpel Machine Gun, and Cloaking device. Have the three drive around picking up civilians and either getting them to the Safe Zone or off the campus entirely.
Have the Soulchip drivers say, in Japanese, that they're experimental prototype remote-controlled vehicles.

All vehicles to be constructed with JSDF insignia and paint jobs.
>>
Have Vitun cast http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic/all-spells/h/holy-aura.

A brilliant divine radiance surrounds the subjects, protecting them from attacks, granting them resistance to spells cast by evil creatures, and causing evil creatures to become blinded when they strike the subjects. This abjuration has four effects.

First, each warded creature gains a +4 deflection bonus to AC and a +4 resistance bonus on saves. Unlike protection from evil, this benefit applies against all attacks, not just against attacks by evil creatures.
Second, each warded creature gains spell resistance 25 against evil spells and spells cast by evil creatures.
Third, the abjuration protects the recipient from possession and mental influence, just as protection from evil does.
Finally, if an evil creature succeeds on a melee attack against a creature warded by a holy aura, the offending attacker is blinded (Fortitude save negates, as blindness/deafness, but against holy aura's save DC).

Soldier manages to pull himself to his feet, but the Khornite he blasted hasn't forgotten him, and is already charging. Soldier just grins and pulls a grenade. "I can come back to life!" he shouts. As the Khornite closes, Soldier pulls the pin. "Can you?!"

Then Soldier smacks the grenade against his helmet just as the enemy's chain axe contacts his torso. The resulting explosion sends the Beserker flying again, this time several large shards of ceramite cracking and falling off the already damaged powered armor.

Meanwhile Heavy continues to fire Sasha at a single Beserker, laughing maniacally all the while.

Darius and Star Lord look at each other and nod, both coming to the same conclusion.

"Forget friendly fire! Everyone fire everything you've got while the Khornites attack Heavy!" Star-Lord roars. "Fast! He won't be invincible forever!"

"Knights! Send the foul traitors back to the Warp! Fire!!!" Darius shouts as the KI Tactical Squad takes aim.

No longer concerned with trying to avoid friendly fire, the air is filled with the deafening thunderclap of twenty four Bolters being discharged at once. The low roar of Panther autocannon and crash of Prawn lightning guns are added to the cacophony as the Berserkers are caught in the crossfire and torn to pieces, Heavy laughing all the while. When the last bit of twitching meat hits the ground, the blue metallic glow of the Ubercharge fades and Heavy turns to Medic. As the newly created Phoenixes, Rhinos and Pumas begin to appear on the battlefield, Heavy grins.

"WE MAKE GOOD TEAM!" he shouts, slapping the doctor on the back and beaming a smile at the space marines.

The Rhinos roll around the Von Luckners, further reinforcing your defensive line as your air support spots a mixed group of Nurgle demons and marines shambling towards your forces. Darius is already ordering the Knights to assist a group of civilians spotted attempting to flee as Star-Lord begins to organize the non space marines.

Somehow, the loud crack of a high-powered firearm is heard over the battle as a Phoenix spots several Tzeentchian sorcerers go down with smoking holds in their heads. Catapulting from hiding, a man in a Vindicare Assassin suit crashes into the final sorcerer and decapitates him with a single slash of what must be a phase blade. A handful of Chaos Marines in garish many-hued armor draws chain and power weapons and runs to attack him. The Assassin moves with impossible speed and skill, dodging and turning aside each of the Marines' blows while slaughtering them one by one.

"It's HIM!!!" one marine roars. "KILL THE CHOSEN OF THE EMPEROR!!!"

Four of them wear icons and items of import to one of the Chaos Gods, while the fifth is draped with the eight-pointed star over and over again. Two attending Chaos Marines drag a struggling young woman toward a hastily erected altar.

The portals, still open after all this time, begin to disgorge a second wave, but far slower than before. Methodically, mechanically, marines in deep blue and gold armor, bereft of horns, but instead with egyptian-like headdresses begin to emerge from them.

You create an area in which only good creatures can be magically summoned. No matter what a later caster attempts to summon, he actually summons a good version (a celestial beast rather than a fiendish one, for example) or a good equivalent (an archon rather than a formian).
If the summoner was attempting to summon a neutral or evil creature, the good creature that appears is not bound to obey the commands of the summoner or attack his enemies. Instead, it deals with the summoner as it sees fit—possibly attacking an evil caster.
The summoning spell cannot be dismissed, though it can be dispelled. A perfect summons spell can also be dispelled normally.

Get the Guardian and the Hercules to the Indefatigable immediately.
Along the way, have the Hercules immediately begin construction of Scarabs equipped with nano-repair modules.
Have the Al'Kesh we had in reserve beam those Scarabs to the Indefatigable, to immediately begin using the nano-repairs to stabilize the warp core and prevent a breach.

Once the Scarabs are in place, have the Al'Kesh scan for survivors and beam them directly to the Medical Bay on the Oncoming Storm.
Inform Doc Lazarus that we have a medical emergency.

Have Virtun use his double roll ability for this rescue operation.

The structural integrity fields should be able to keep the ship mostly intact, as well as the emergency force fields.
Fortunately Federation starships are designed to be able to handle getting hit by more powerful explosives.

The Al'Kesh begins deploying Scarabs, unleashing the repair bots into the wrecked interior of the former Defiant-class ship. One of the Abjurers begin to cast this... and immediately feels a familiar presence lending him additional clarity of mind and power. Hidden Bonus! SOMETHING is boosting the Abjurer for this spell. Gain +15 to result roll.

Should an Abjurer give this spell a try, on either the sorcerers or the Tzeentch marines?
Wages of Sin
Enchantment (Compulsion) [Good, Mind-Affecting]
Level: Sorcerer/wizard 6
Components: V, Abstinence
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: Medium (100 ft. + 10 ft/level)
Target: One evil creature/level
Duration: 1 round/level
Saving Throw: Will negates
Spell Resistance: Yes
The affected creatures’ own evil thoughts and impulses blossom in their minds into intense suspicion and distrust. Each subject becomes convinced that its own allies are plotting to kill it at any moment, and attacks the nearest evil creature using whatever attack form (melee or ranged attack, spell, supernatural or spell-like ability) is most effective against that foe, to the best of its knowledge. Affected creatures do not completely ignore other threats, but attack evil creatures in preference to any other foes.

Or are their wills too strong to even bother?
>>
>>19403628
...Well that's unexpected.
Should the Abjurer cancel the spell, or should we see how this plays out?
>>
>>19403665
Let's let it play out.
It could either be Ahriman paying us back, or it could be that Mara actually succeeded in getting Nidhoggr back online and is helping us.

Remember that to her, Chaos are competitors and rivals that she would prefer to have kept out.

The woman is almost to the altar. Across the battlefield, the Nurgle force is almost within firing range, and Brett continues to blaze a path of blood through the Chaos Marines sent his way.

The blue armored Chaos Marines slowly continue to form up from the portals.

>>19403465
The Scarabs successfully stabilize the warp core, but the ship itself looks to be beyond repair with the resources you have. The structural integrity fields stopped the ship from simply blowing up into a million pieces, but even the Defiant wasn't designed to survive a proton torpedo detonation within its belly. However, it's not beyond salvage. Your crews estimate they can probably take out a number of key systems from the ship and install them onto the Oncoming Storm.
>>
>>19402600

It's a bit late for me to say, but isn't that where Thunderstruck Gauss would be perfect? They are expensive...but they are a personal weapon that puts a hole in most tanks without too much issue.
>>
>>19403752
Have the Scarabs continue pouring in repair nano-bots. Once the hull has been stabilized, we can attempt repairs on the Indefatigable.
As a pocket warship, it's far too valuable to lose.

I can only hope that the Looter Team comes through for us with those Industrial Replicators.
>>
>>19403752

Would we be able to repair it if we got the ship remnants back to HQ?
>>
>>19403752
The wards may prevent us from beaming the woman out, but perhaps we don't have to.

Has Sniper respawned yet?
Can we get him onto the top of a nearby building with an anti-tank rifle, and have him snipe the Chaos Marines dragging the woman?
Then as he continues to snipe the sorcerors, have one of the Puma's crash in and pop open its door while the Soulchipped pilot tells the woman to get in, and then they drive out of there as the cloaking field hides them.

Have Vitun use his Double Roll ability for this.
>>
>>19403858
Or we could watch her die and laugh as they summon the good equivalent of a greater daemon.

What will that even be? A primarch? Imperial saint?
>>
>>19403858
How do you propose to do that?
I'm pretty sure BLU Team respawns on our ships.
>>
>>19403945
The wards that prevent beaming in and out have a set range, since we can still use our transporters in the Safe Zone.
So there should be a building onto whose rooftop we could beam Sniper to once he finishes respawning.
And anti-material rifles usually have a range of at least a mile.
So we should be able to get him into position to take out those Chaos Marines without too much trouble.

>>19403941
Yeah, we could watch her die, but I don't think our personnel would much like that.
>>
>>19403945
But yeah, if the Chaos Marines are actually grabbing her, I'm not sure what we can do.
Like maybe having an Auror try a Summoning Charm on her?
Do we even have any Aurors?
>>
>>19403990
Yeah true enough.
I guess I got the impression that 'almost' means by at least five feet.
But the trouble is that we can't shoot at them with regular guns, because then we stand a high chance of hitting the hostage.
And I haven't had luck finding any spells that would solve this problem.
>>
...As much as it pains me to do this, we could notify Brett and point him in the direction of the girl, and have him SUE his way through the opposition.
As a bonus, those sorcerers might incapacitate him.
>>
>>19404021
The hostage is going to die either way, and Sniper is...well, a sniper. We may as well try it.
We could have someone with him play Alleria's Flute of Accuracy if you want to increase his to-hit bonus.
>>
>>19404042
Might as well.
I'm not comfortable sending our troops to be killed, but if Brett dies saving a girl?
Then I consider that a happy ending.
>>
>>19403752
MetaOP, ask Data if we can repair the Indefatigable if we have access to a Class 4 Industrial Replicator and continued usage of the Antaeus nano-repair modules. Include having the schematics and molecular properties of the alloys used in the construction of a Defiant-class ship uploaded to the Hercules to be used by the repair nano-bots currently working on the Indefatigable.
>>
>>19404097
...Yeah true enough. If we can, have Vitun cast BLESSED AIM

Components: V, S
Casting Time: 1 standard action
Range: 60 ft.
Effect: 60-ft. spread, centered on you
Duration: Concentration
Saving Throw: Will negates (harmless)
Spell Resistance: No
This spell grants a +2 morale bonus on all ranged attacks for your allies within the spread.

It's not much, but every bit counts.

...Not that it matters.
I'm pretty sure all the HP curses and hexes are things the Marines could either ignore, laugh off, or get off on.

>>

>>19403827
Possibly, but not certain. At the very least you'd be able to salvage more systems.

>Respawning: BLU team respawns at a point designated by the Engineer as the Respawn Point, which he takes a few minutes to set up the Australium Machines that allow the team to respawn.

Sniper respawns at the Safe Zone and is quickly issued an anti-material rifle from your stockpile of Shadowrun gear. An Auror teleports him to a vantage point and he takes careful aim...

*BLAM!*

A Chaos Sorcerer that had not been wearing a helmet's head explodes into a fine mist of gore as his body topples to the ground.

"Who DARES!" a Sorcerer in Slaaneshi garb hisses as he looks around the ritual area.

*BLAM!*

The silks and waving tentacles of the Prince of Pleasure turn out not to be the best of protective garb as that Sorceror gives out a strangled cry, pitching backwards.

"Enough of this! The sacrifice will not be interrupted so easily! Servants! To me!!" the Tzeentchian hisses as he murmurs dark words and snaps his fingers. A shimmering portal appears at his feet and warp energies cascade from the opening maw as suddenly blinding light bursts from the portal. When it fades, a beautiful young woman in strange clothes bearing a large halberd is in front of the sorcerer. The spellcaster appears at a loss for words as he stumbles back.

"W... what?" he mumbles.

"Goddess First Class, Special Duty, Unlimited Lind reporting," she states, coldly looking around her. "Hmph. Another system error? There's no way you qualify for anything related to the Heavens."

"A... A living saint?! Here?!" the Chaos Sorcerer spits and begins summoning warp energy to his hands. Faster than the eye can track, Lind's halberd separates his head from his body.

"How stupid," she remarks as the body collapses.

Hahaha yes. I want that moment recorded and put on our Christmas video.
>>

"Not exactly as planned, eh? U MAD, Tzeentchian?"

Anyway, after making sure we got that on video, have a Puma drive up to rescue the sacrifice as Sniper continues to provide cover fire.

A Puma drives up to pick up the woman, who immediately jumps in.

"Wow, what kind of car is this? I've never seen this model before!" she wonders aloud as the Puma drives away. "And that performance! Hey, will you let me take a look at the drive system later? It'll take my mind off of almost being killed! Honest!"

Well, at least we successfully saved a Canon character without even realizing it.

Get her to the Safe Zone, brief everyone there about her.
http://ohmygoddess.wikia.com/wiki/Megumi

What's the status of the fight between Brett and Chaos?
What is Lind doing now?

Are we nearly done getting civilians out of the area? We should prepare to hand them over to the local police.
>>
>>19404953
Probably Vitun, given that he's a powerful cleric.
>>
>>19404926
>>19404838

Driver, do your usual schpiel when dealing with non-meta aware individuals. Something non-committal but vaguely comforting. Also checking the drive system while driving away for your lives is probably not conducive to good vehicular or personal well-being.

Have the Storm scan Lind for any reality distortions or signs of SUE-compulsion. If she's clean, then we might want to talk to her. As far as who would talk to her: Virtun's got a lot of diplomacy going on, and he's a representative of a good deity. Darius is also acceptable, but he might be tied up with fighting.
>>
>>19404959
Brett absolutely massacred a large group of Marines sent to engage him... but his reaction time seems to be slowing in the presence of the reality emitters. Slowly but surely he seems to be losing steam even as he stubbornly continues to fight.

Lind is busying herself with killing the last of the Chaos forces around the ritual area. Sniper is helping her with his anti-tank rifle. Judging from the occasional glance Lind throws in his direction, she is aware of the aid.

A full squad of blue armored marines is now out of the portals. They have assembled in two rows beside one portal in particular and seem to be waiting for something.
>>
>>19405028
Squad of Rubric marines, eh?
I hope they're not waiting for Shinji.
Or for that matter, Ahrima...
...
Here comes AHRIMAN, Lads!

I'd say now is a good time to get reality emitters up on the target area.
We've got 2 goddess' knights and a Saiyan incoming, and the Saiyan isn't fully fucked by reality emitters.

I'd like to find where Brett sleeps, and have the Doc whip up some kills-you-in-under-a-day virus or bacteria.
As much as many SUEs like to mention their combat capability and fighting spirit, so few fanfiction OCs mention anything about being more resistant to their own immune system crapping itself.

While we do that with one hand, we have a goddess to talk to.
I'd like to have Koh warped out of this Canon - that should break his influence.
With that done, we can either free Urd, or give Skuld and Belldandy the short-fused time-stabilisers as one person suggested to get them out of the picture. Either works.

If not for those f*cking knights, this Canon would reassert itself pretty quickly.
>>
>>19405028
Well huh.
If they're not making a move yet, I don't want to provoke those blue marines.
Also if Brett winds up exhausted, then that means that he can't make saving throws.
>>
>>19405028
Continue monitoring Brett. Have the Al'Kesh spread themselves out for an optimum pattern to blanket the campus in reality fields.
I will laugh long and hard when Chaos finally kills Brett, only to realize that they just killed the thing generating the portals into this Canon for them, and they just cut themselves off.

Keep an eye on the Thousand Sons marines.

Have the Valiance and the Relentless head to the asteroid belt and pick up some asteroids; the Hercules is probably starting to run low on matter by now.

Have Data work with the Scarabs currently repairing the Indefatigable. We need the warp core stable and see if he can get some of the rudimentary systems back online, such as deflector shields and impulse drive.
>>
>>19405081
Maybe Lind can actually see Brett for what he is and work with us?
She seems harsh but reasonable.
>>
>>19405107
We'll want the teleporters as our top priority.
Transphasic cloak is useful too.
>>
Regarding the Rubric Marines
Can we... can we loot them? Like cast a spell to make them follow us instead?
>>
>>19405119
Yeah, but without replicators, we'll have problems getting the parts to fix those systems.
At least with the drive and deflector shield online, we can set the Indefatigable into one of the open hangar bays of the All Under Heaven where it can be repaired more easily.
>>
>>19405175
What's LEFT of it, you mean.
So, we want the replicators and the teleporters saved from it.
Cool. Get on it.

Anything else would just be me samefagging, so I guess now I wait for op.
>>
So if we kill anyone who looks like a Tzeentci Sorcerer (which is always a good plan), the Rubric Marines won't do anything?
>>
Falling asleep time is now. I'll pick this up tomorrow. Seeya all then!
>>
>>19405292
See you tomorrow.

Once our engineers finish with the portable holo-emitters, we should detail them to attempting repairs on the Indefatigable. The Antaeus nano-repair systems should be able to act as replicator-analogues for a number of system components.
Data will be crucial in directing the ship repairs, and with the Mobile Emitters set to generate Emergency Engineering Holograms and the Portable Emitters making squads of Emergency Engineering Holograms to do repairs to supplement our other engineers, I think we have a good chance at making the Indefatigable operational again.
>>
I'm a bit worried about what might come out of that portal. What happens if Ahriman comes out? And what's the worst we can expect out of this Thousand Shinji?
>>
>Sorcerer-marines wearing egyptian-style headdresses instead of the horns getup

So, confirmed New Chaos, or is it just regular Thousand Sons?
>>
....

Well I do have an idea about the current situation. I am not sure about how the meta coupes with conflicting canons but I assume it does with via 'parallel universe'.
The thing is that many people consider the judgement gate to be non-canon, so I suppose the problem is that this non-canon thing is being forced into canon. Which is why it does register as an anomaly.

The point? I think if we take urd out of the judgement gate, the gate will disappear and the time stop on both her and Koh will vanish.

Anyway I think we should keep urd there for the moment. We can use knowledge of her location as a barging chip if we get into trouble with either heaven or hel.

What about the current situation?

>>19406036
I think we got confirmed new chaos. One thing people should have notaced that several sorcerer of different chaos gods are working together for that ritual. Perhaps its new chaos and thousand Shinji is aware of the meta and maybe sacrificing a canon character is more potent than doing in an extra.
>>
Plan.

>>19404838

"Look, I know you were almost killed back there but this is important! Did those people drag you out of a crowd or do you think you were selected randomly?"

>>19404680

We should try to initate contact with Lind. She would have notaced that something is wrong.
>>
>>19407623
We decided further up in the thread that Vitun would be best suited to make contact with Lind.
Lind is already aware that there are problems, since she mentioned rampant system errors, but she likely doesn't know what's causing them.

We can use the story that we used on Mara, that we're part of an Agency called in due to someone messing with the records of Heaven and Hel.

Rather than having her help out on Earth, she'd be more valuable going back to Heaven and organizing an attempt to fix Yggdrassil and re-initialize the Doublet System from Heaven's end.
>>
So, since we can't repair the defiant, can we bring it to star trek online to get it repaired?
>>
>>19407598
Nah, Thousand Shinji only had like... less than ten Rubric Marines.
And New Chaos Rubric Marines aren't automatons.
>>
>>19407942
We can't repair the Indefatigable to full operational status here in the field, but we could conceivably fully repair it once we're back at base.
Especially if the Looter Team succeeds and brings back those Class 4 Industrial Replicators.
>>
Oh yea, there was one thing tat people seem to have forgotten about. I think MetaQuestOP mentioned that ANON was downloading the history files for TG first contact with the meta. Has it finished yet?

Oh and how is K1 still holding up, is he still asleep?
>>
Samefagging my plan from earlier:

Biological warfare to sicken Brett, do so in such a way that he can't trace the cause.
Lure him to a remote spot with holograms.
Burst him open with artillery and sniper fire, preferably from automated units.

Virtun talks to Lind. This is a good idea.

Deal with Peorth's knight last.

Save the replicators and teleporters from the Inde. This serves to remind us to think "What could possibly go wrong?" before attempting anything.

Getting Skuld or Bell stuck in the time distortion by giving them a short-fuse time stabiliser is an idea, as long as it doesn't appear like trickery to them. E.g. warn them beforehand that we didn't try prolonged exposure or use of the devices.

We'll want to collect evidence of SUE shenanigans and mindwarping bullshit. We have K1's testimony, at least.

Keep up the appearance of us as the good guys; so long as we're the good guys, we won't draw God aggro.
As for how to justify killing Brett: We did it because he was the one opening the portals to Chaos.

Ultimately I think we could use convincing @ Gods, or Trickery @ either Gods or Knights, to defuse this situation without being directly responsible for a Knight's death.
>>
>>19409206
Now, what could go wrong:

Bio warfare:
"Aw balls someone's trying to poison me"
Solution: Make it look like Nurgle's work
and/or
"I've had spies in that orbitting ship; these guys use disease, lies, and misdirection in their plans, we can't trust them."
Solution: Make sure nobody's watching us. Anti-scrying wards gogo.

Virtun talking to Lind:
Shit rolls - shit happens
Revealing too much about the Transpace Guard or the Meta - for the love or christ keep your story straight, and don't reveal too much
Lind sides with the SUEs as a result of what we say - don't mention the SUEs, just mention the Doublet system needing a reboot.

Final knight last:
Knight is ready for us and/or makes a pre-emptive strike - shit happens. Fortunately as an Earthmage, can't do shit vs. orbiting ships.
Knight convinces the Goddesses that we're the enemy - don't make us look responsible for whatever happens to the other Knights. OR, Convince the goddesses that the other Knights aren't particularily good people. OR, convince the Goddesses to stay neutral on the matter.

Salvaging inde:
Someone decides to risk the Antaeus on a plan to bring the Inde back online, and we lose the Antaeus - No risky plans pls, the last one backfired literally.

Time trickery:
Pissing off goddesses - for the love of christ don't make anything look like blatant trickery.
Skuld looks into the workings of our armbands - don't make any deliberate sabotage LOOK like deliberate sabotage. There are many ways a device can go wrong; use one of those instead.
They rescue Urd - Reboot doublet system, take partial credit. Ensure Koh is outside the canon, in case the Judgement gate collapses. (Shove him in a chronosphere from the C&C Canon?)

>etc
>>
Collecting evidence of shenanigans:
We talk to someone to gain info, and either reveal knowledge of the meta, or give a conflicting story, or make an enemy, or give knowledge to the knights/goddesses that we shouldn't have - For the love of fuck, keep your shit straight and don't say anything that you don't want people to hear.
The Knights notice us as a spy and attack directly - Spin it to make them look like the aggressors, thus giving us authority to asswhup.
Anyone notices us and takes objection to our spying - "Yes. ... And?". BS our way out of the situation like we did with Skuld.
We try Electronic Hax and we lose our dudes due to virus popups - Don't try Electronic Hax.

Keeping up the appearance of being Good Guys:
Ahriman shows up, drops a datacube of us consorting with Chaos, the Goddesses look at it, and get angry at us - Respond with datacube of us fighting Sauron and passing Ringil's tests. Problem fixed. OR, just shoot Ahriman. Problem fixed.
The SUEs see us as a rival and start BSing the Goddesses - collect evidence of the BS as what it is. That is, manipulative BS. use evidence against SUEs.
The SUEs see us as a rival and challenge us to a fight - Rig the fight, win the fight.

Downsides of Convincing:
Many. Need to take these as they appear. Also, do not try to directly convince any SUEs.
Downsides of Trickery:
Someone smart enough to notice it catches it and gets angry at us - subtlety and deniability are key.

There. There's bound to be more problems unthought of, but might as well focus on what we know for now.
>>
>>19409312
This is a well thought out plan, but your forgetting how the dice love to hate us. so yeah, might be a bit of a problem.
also,
BUMP BITCH!
>>
>>19409689

The dice love to hate us when we get full of ourselves.

C'mon. Teleporting a bomb into the middle of Mr. Just As Planned's sorcery ritual...a group that's USED to people trying to Derp Strike into such things? Someone's shit needs to be slapped. We actually did more damage in one shot to our own forces with that than anything in this whole Canon managed, even a little.

Smartass moves get our shit slapped. On the other hand, honestly working (within reason) with the Canon's gotten us much good karma for rolls. Fuck the shenanigans and stop treating the canon types as barely better than the SUEs who jacked them. They're victims of a disease. We cure it in the least harmful methods available to prevent further distortions.

Also, having even part of the three goddesses locked out of maintaining the functionality of this Canon can only be making it easier to fuck with it. If we've got the SUE linked to Urd safely contained, let's get her out of there. Urd is the Goddess of the Past, and if anyone can look back (possibly through Yggrasdil's records) and give us insight on where this all started (and hence, fixed)- it'd be her.

>Someone decides to risk the Antaeus on a plan to bring the Inde back online, and we lose the Antaeus - No risky plans pls, the last one backfired literally.
Then you haven't read the plan at all and have no idea what is being discussed.

The Hercules isn't doing any of the actual repairs, it's the Repair Scarabs that the Hercules can manufacture in 2 seconds. Also, the Emergency Engineering Holograms are designed for just this type of situation, where the work environment has environmental hazards.
Finally, the construction of replacement parts using the Creation Engine is nothing new to the Antaeus system.

Well about Urd is that we could either:

1. Release Urd, I figure when we do so the judgement gate will be banished back into its own canon and the time effect will stop. That will also mean a released Koh. However if I am wrong we could use either haste or Esusa to unfreeze Urd.

The advantage is that we could gain a lot of Kama from doing so and Urd is a systems administrator so she will be better at rebooting the doublet system then Maria.

The disadvantage is the Urd could still be under S.U.E. enthrallment, excape and warn the others. Remember we only got Maria free because of a roll in the 90's.

2. Keep Urd there. One advantage is that we can use the knowledge of where Urd is as a bargaining chip if we get intro trouble with either Heaven of Hel (we can also lie and say that we didn't find Koh, but if Urd was conscious when we took Koh out we may be caught).
>>
>>19409206
Using biological weapons to infect Brett is unnecessarily complex.
He's already here, under attack from Chaos forces, and our reality fields have already slowed down his reaction speed.
We only need to increase the power of the overlapping fields and let Chaos kill Brett for us.

We don't need to let him get away, and due to his Saiyan physiology there is a considerable chance that he will adapt to the effects of the reality fields and make any follow-up attempts to terminate him much more difficult.

Also, "Make it look like Nurgle's work"; how exactly is this supposed to be done?
>>
>>19410209
>>19409793
You've got points.
I think if we take Koh out of the Canon, we can contain him that way. Once that's done, freeing Urd is a decent next step.
It's true that the Canon's inhabitants want this crap fixed as much as we do.
The only problem is, proving to them that Brett, Rei, and Tai are the sources of it.
Brett's easy enough - robust him and problem fixed. But proving the other two are creating canon distortions is difficult.

We could at least prove to Hild, Lind, and Urd that the SUEs are fucking shit up.
And by ressing K1, capturing Trevor, releasing Mara, rescuing Megumi, killing Chaos demons, and splatting bugs, we've demonstrated to at least some extent that we're the good guys.
That is, we're unlikely to get Bell and Skuld aggro if we talk to them nicely.

The question to all this is, then, how do we gather proof that these SUEs are using mind-warping effects, or reality-bending effects, that are making the system go all out of whack?

Would it be sufficient evidence to go into the system and collect proof from the inside?
>>
>>19410281

One more reason to bust Urd out of her SUE-daze ASAP. We can easily show the before and after results of the SUEs from the World Tree's records, especially since trying to hack the system just got us one very loopy decker. Urd's also pretty darn familiar with control effects, courtesy of all that alchemy she's fond of.
>>
>and due to his Saiyan physiology there is a considerable chance that he will adapt to the effects of the reality fields and make any follow-up attempts to terminate him much more difficult.
That's the Borg, son. Not the Saiyans.
Saiyans gain more power every time they recover from near-fatal conditions.
You write with a very righteous tone for a person who doesn't know very much. Stop it.

As for how to make any disease look like nurgle's work: Marks of Nurgle.

Note that, due to a Saiyan's ability to get stronger when recovering from near-death conditions, if he barely survives this encounter he's going to be quite the pain in the ass.

Also, assuming he's been at this for a while, if he was seriously injured by Chaos forces and recovered, then he'll have gotten stronger from it. From this, you can assume he's strong enough that Chaos forces can't seriously threaten his life any more.
That means - Sniping isn't likely to work. At least, not without a dice roll.

>unnecessarily complex
Hurr durr let's NOT stack the deck in our favour because it's 'complex'. What a retarded point of view.
Get complex for +10 or +15 bonuses to dice rolls, I say.
>>
>>19410281
We got Koh on our ship. If the time effect does stop after we get Urd out we can flood containment with reality fields and sleeping gas. I think we should do that before we get Urd out, as a precautionary measure.

I had an insane plan which we could do if everything went tits up and both goddesses and goddess knights were rampaging around the incoming storm.

Invite them to tea.

Use our members to play up the whole 'gang of mistfits' angle, try to be nice and friendly and essentially stall for time.

We could invite the goddesses to tea under the pretences of discussing this new threat.

But yea, that should be last resort only.
>>
>>19410352
He's not going to adapt to the reality field itself, but he can get faster to compensate for his slowed reflexes and response times, like how Goku got stronger in response to higher gravity during the Namek arc.
I think we should kill him now, if the Chaos forces can't do it.
>>
>>19410552
Eh, while it is true that his Saiyan blood means that he will come back stronger, it's important to remember that Saiyans don't really have any fast-healing.
Like when they get beat up, they stay beat up for quite some time, unless an outside healing influence acts on them.
It's not like Brett's the Hulk or whatever.
>>
>>19410653
Then wouldn't it be best to kill him as soon as he finishes off the last of the Chaos forces, when he's at his weakest, rather than giving him time to heal, even if it is only for a day?
And also, as long as he stays alive, Chaos can attempt another incursion. We'd be giving them another chance to make a permanent foothold or cause even more Canon disruptions for an entire day if we choose to wait.
>>
>>19410728
or because he's stupid, we could have one of our Space Marines offer our healing tank so he can recuperate. We then have another SUE captured.
>>
>>19410750
I love your deception move.
>>
>>19410750
and by "healing tank," I mean Stasis Pod.

We'll capture him by having him freeze himself.
>>
>>19411936

We might also see if we can hook up said pod with time-freezing technology. Or send the pod into the time distortion, get both the equipment and Brett frozen, then see if the science team can reproduce the sustained time-freeze effect on said pod.

If Brett gets suspicious about the time-tech on the thing, we can merely say that it's a "hyperbolic" healing tank. Or something.
>>
http://en.memory-alpha.org/wiki/Stasis_unit

So there should be some stasis pods on the Indefatigable, and we can see if one survived.
According to it's description, we won't need to attempt any dangerous time manipulation to keep Brett down.

Also, if we successfully capture, or kill, Brett, now might be a good time to send the captured SUE's back to base on the All Under Heaven, along with the Indefatigable.

Not only would we be able to get more repairs on the Inde done before we have the Looter Team take it to the Star Trek Online Canon for repairs (which can be paid for in energy credits that are easy enough to counterfeit, and in which there are neutral starbases), we could test to see if a SUE's influence extends beyond a Canon's boundaries, and finally put that question to rest.
>>
>>19413076
And while we're there, we can have some upgrades done to it. Maybe even buy a couple of other ships.
>>
>>19413130
Ship-buying might be hard.
You need dilithium or a ship requisition to get a ship.

Weapons, though, depending on the quality level, can be bought. Either from Starfleet, Ferengi weapons merchants, or off of the Exchange.

We could switch out the phaser type weapons for disruptors, or go with anti-proton weaponry.
Or we could purchase quantum torpedo launchers for the other ships in our task force. Maybe even some anti-proton turrets, or tetryon heavy dual cannons.

"It still doesn't make any sense," Cossack grumbled as he flicked the glass on the observation port for the containment bay. The glowing form of a stasis tube loomed within, the vague silhouette of a humanoid sealed inside as steady thrum filled the air, power diverted to numerous and redundant containment system.

Dr. Cossack sighed and looked down to one of the many monitors containing block after block of scrolling text. "How can someone alter the very foundation of reality like that?"

"I think a better question is how they came to attain such power," Egon murmured, tapping at one of the computer consoles. "That is to say, where did they come from?"

"That information may very well be classified, if even anyone knows," Data states, fingers flying over a different console. "Even if our immediate superiors have been relatively open, the organization itself seems to almost delight in keeping secrets. I attempted to go through some of the archives available on this vessel. A lot of my inquiries were met with the simple statement that the information I sought was not included on the Storm's database."

"Still..." Cossack murmured, gaze locked on the motionless form in the tube. "With the intellects this group has gathered, I wonder how long before we figure it out?"

"Or..." Egon stated, looking up to gaze impassively at Dr. Cossack. "How long will we have to figure it out?"

The portal flares as an imposing figure clad in blue, horned powered armor steps from it. The Thousand Sons assembled, twelve to a side, immediately straighten, almost coming to 'attention.' Waving a gauntlet hand, the space marines fall into a guard formation around the sorcerer as he strides into the chaos of the battlefield.

Meanwhile, Brett bisects a possessed space marine with a sweep of his phase blade and begins moving towards the portals again.

The Nurgle squad has closed to attack range, twelve Plague Marines sending an explosive hail of bolter shells into your troops while their demonic companions scurry forward.

A gaggle of Plaguebearers, Nurglings, and Beasts of Nurgle ooze towards your defensive line, gleefully chanting dark hymns and cheers.

>>
>>19414610

I thought it was still in debate whether to use Virtun or Darius, but OK.

>>19414610
The majority of BLU team that had just respawned gets immediately torn to pieces by the bolter barrage. A few errant rounds slam into the powered armor of the Mobile Infantry as they stomp foward, but the return barrage from the Marauder-class armors is what puts an abrupt end to the battle.

Out in the open, and now that most civilians are clear, your MI veterans launch the smallest of the Y-rack nukes. A trio of fat-headed rockets fly towards and past the enemy, precise calculations insuring a detonation that would catch the enemy within it while sparing any others. A blinding flash of light and a dull roar heralds the arrival of a blast wave that engulfs the advancing Nurgle forces in a blast of nuclear fire that purifies even the most virulent of their plagues to ash.

On the other side of the battlefield, your aerial support notices two figures arriving at the battlefield, flying down for a landing. One appears clad in ornate red armor with a flame motif, the other is noticeably smaller, with a blue color scheme.

I propose that Virtun back off since there's a huge battle about to get hotter, now that the SUEs and Ahriman are here. Likewise for Darius.

If the Heavens are aware of the situation, they probably know that the SUEs have something to do with it, and that the WH40K chaos-guys are not to be taken lightly. If they're smart, they'll do as we're doing and let them have at each other.

For a man who values his mind above all else, the idea of being dominated by the mere presence of a SUE must be horrifying.

...This may not be a popular idea, but if he's successful, we might gain something by negotiating with him again. He's relatively new to the meta and weak outside the Warp, so we could offer information of the political situation, and maybe point him towards the Combine or Hyper-Athens so he's out of our hair at least.

And in return, we gain knowledge of magic that suppresses SUE powers.

It appears to be a detailed report on the battle unfolding in Nekomi Tech, including identification of our fielded units as not being native to the world, AND correct identification of some of those units."

The forces of Chaos fall upon TC, who utters a wail as daemon-blades pierce his armor, bolter rounds burst through his side, and chain-axes bite into his shoulder. The Goddess Knight suffers terrible injury, but does not die, pulling himself together and barely keeping the corrupted space marines at bay with his divine sword. A hail of ice bolts suddenly drives the attackers back, giving TC room to breathe as Rei dives down from the sky to pull him aside.

"TC! It's in the sky!" he shouts, pointing up. "Some sort of energy wave, sapping our powers! But I can't sense the source yet!"

Brett ignores the two, though he takes a moment to groan in disgust as TC almost gets overwhelmed.

Lind takes this opportunity to lay into the Chaos forces on the other side, catching them in a sort of pincer attack. Bolter round, warp bolt, plague-missile, all sorts of tainted projectiles simply bounce off some invisible field around the Valkyrie as her pole-ax cuts a gory swathe through the Marines that would make Kharne jealous.

Hopefully they can't reach our ship. That would be trouble.

In any event, it seems that Lind is going to prevent Chaos from killing the SUEs for us.

Could we take advantage of the enemy being pushed back and direct some fire at the Goddess Knights and Brett?

The transpace message is probably earth-based divine or infernal elements reporting on the battle to their superiors.
OR
Chaos plants reporting to their masters.

Can we trace that transmission? If it's Chaos, we need to shut it down.

>>19416551

Seconding attempting to trace the source.

Also, have the Al'kesh ready to jet off in case the Knights wise up. They've been observed flying over here, it's likely that they can reach our Al'kesh if we don't prepare for evasive action.

I'm almost tempted to bring in some orbital reality emitter support for this, but that would probably tip off the Goddesses about our true mission here.
>>
>>19416696

Also, get more details about the message that was intercepted. Which of our units were positively identified?
>>
>>19416712
The units that were positively identified were the Von Luckner tanks, the space marines, the Prawns, and the Mobile Infantry. Your attempts to trace the message only let you discern it was sent in the general vicinity of the Nekomi Tech campus.

"If it's in the sky... Rei, we gotta work together!" TC says. "If we can combine the power of ice and fire together, we might have a chance!"

"R-right!" Rei nods. "With icefire, we can do it!"

TC and Rei fly back, out of reach of the Chaos forces. Brett snorts.

"Running away already? I'll handle 'em. I've always got to be the one to handle them..." Brett murmurs, casting aside his Exitus rifle and drawing his phase blade.

"Brothers in blood, brothers in elements," TC and Rei intone as ice and fire begin to swirl around them. "Enhance the power of one with the other! The brother of ice is fire, and fire, ice! With their powers combined, let them destroy everything born of vice! ICE FIRE!!!"

An abomination against logic, a gigantic wave of fiery ice... blasts from the pair to sweep across the sky until finally it crashes against the cloaked Al'Kesh, severely damaging it and causing its cloak to malfunction.

"Alien invaders!" TC shouts. "We're being attacked on two fronts?!"
>>
Wait.... I just realised something.
What about the OTHER canon characters?
Like the people in the motor/auto club? That popular girl and that.... other guy.
Chaos might decide to sacrifice them!
The next step is to secure their safety and fast!
>>
>>19416817

Aw, shit.

Al'kesh, get outta there, evasive maneuvers, etc. etc. Try to escape orbit as fast as you can. Get another one of our Al'kesh in the area to keep Brett suppressed with reality emitters.

Do we have any other ships capable of transporting large objects? If we could beam out the Al'kesh from there, that would be great.
>>
Unfortunately, that's all the time I have for today. Next quest thread, Monday at 8.

I don't know what's worse, the SUE's finding us out or the possible Black Ops/Firemen Spy monitoring us for fear of us giving out sensitive information to Ahriman. Or it being something even worse than us coming home and getting whiteout'd.

It's too bad we don't have an Inquisitor to act as a possible mouth if we end up needing to bullshit our way out with the SUE's, simple KI don't seem convincing enough and lack the "I speak with the voice of the Emperor" shtick. Then again, maybe we could dress someone up for the job. Who all has a Silver tongue on our employ that we could possibly use for this? We will need to obtain a properly silly/large hat and ornamented power armor for the job, and have them review enough 40k information to make it seem believable for a short conversation. Oh, and to have them not talk to Ahriman, that could get pretty bad, no matter what.
>>
The first thing we need to do is get the damaged Al'Kesh back into orbit and into the hangars of one of our star destroyers for repairs.
There's still 5 other Al'Kesh we have in the area. We should have them use the buildings for cover and maintain their fields. That will make it harder for the SUEs to hit the other Al'Kesh.

We also need to have troops track down that transpace signal. The power armored troops are needed to maintain the perimeter, so using the zombie hunters or dystopia troops might be better, especially since they're dressed in armor made to look like police SWAT and contemporary military units.

Finally we need Mouse to pull apart that intercepted transmission and identify the headers and flags to determine the protocol used, to see if it matches known organizations.
>>
I think our first priority other then getting the damaged Al'Kesh into orbit (although if the knights are stupid enough to follow it then we should lead them on a goose chase) is to see if all of the minor canon characters are accounted for. As the chaos characters deliberately look Megumi for sacrifice whats to say they are not going to take them for sacrifice?
If some are absent I suggest we assemble a task force and attempt to secure the motor club.

Also Skuld is not stupid, when she hears 'alien invaders' from TC and Rei she will go "Alien invaders + talked to guys from space = they must be doing it" Although if she is going to come to us alone or not remains to be seen.

When we get confronted on the subject, we can bluff and say we lied to skuld when she first came here and chaos was our true target but we thought that Trevor would be the one to bring them here. If confronted by the waves we can say that they are an anti-chaos weapon and we have no idea that they would effect the knights.

What I think anyway.
>>
>>19418764
Or we can point out how we were HELPING defeat Chaos, rescued civilians and then some morons shot at our ship.

If they ask about the reality waves, claim they prevent chaos magic.
>>
>>19418780

Well that is pretty much what I meant.
>>
Also since we also had a MASS appearance of chaos, I say this world is falling part quickly. I suggest we get Urd out, so we can get started on fixing things quickly.

Oh and there is Maria to worry about. She is no systems administrator and her track record would suggest that she won't bring it back on herself. The worst thing that could happen if Hild catches her and she will know the whole 'Tiger Team' thing is bullshit.
>>
>>19418780

That could buy some time, at the very least. But what if they tell us off and say not to use those waves? Do we just claim that the energy from the portals will bleed over the entire city and cause horrible destruction/corruption, and point out that the purifying attack from that one goddess knight didn't do jack shit to chaos?
>>
>>19418764
There was a second set of portals in the woods that we were too late to contain.
We have a squad of drones canvassing the area, but we might need to put more boots on the ground.

As for Skuld, our Reality Emitter Mk2 is designed to combat the magic used by Chaos. If it interferes with the Knights then maybe she should look into the sources of their power.
>>
>>19418969
If they tell us to not use the reality emitters, we could ask Brett if he would go through the Warp without a Gellar field. And since the Mk. II emitters use a Gellar field, we wouldn't be lying that they're meant to stop Chaos and Warp powers. Maybe even imply that te reason why the powers of the goddess knights were affected is because they're unsanctioned psykers.
That might get Brett to attack the knights.
