You don't respond to Amy, instead closing your eyes and focusing on the camera data. Rewind to two days before, right when he left. .

The camera view isn't very good, but you can see someone walking up to the front door. Someone in a power suit. They knock, and then the door opens. Gunshots, and the suited person was thrown back, bullets sparking off of their suit.

At the corner of the camera's view, you see Abel dive through a window, carrying a cat cage. He fires another shot back through the window, and scrambles off. It's strange; you've never seen him like this.
"It's impossible to tell where he went from the camera." You say, finally opening your eyes.

"These aren't real cops." Grayson said. "They're too. . too alert, too well trained. I can see that they're uneasy with only sidearms. Given the evidence, I'd say that they're ArmaTek in disguise, or possibly Cadmium."

You close your eyes again, and focus on the police, reaching into them with your will. You don't sense any augmentations, but you do sense that they have implants. Strange implants, much like the combat-drug ones, but very slightly different.
You'll have to take a look at that later. Instead you hack into their PDAs, trying to get all and any information you can. Sadly, they've been all but wiped clean; the only info you can get from the assorted PDAs is a single order, telling them to 'be a cop' and to come to abel's address. The order was from someone labelled as. . 'Grasshopper'. Strange.
    >> Paloozer 05/04/12(Fri)15:53 No.18977372
And also activate Onyx and see if he can give us sight lines like he did last mission. Line of sight for both the "cops" and any cameras. They could have someone watching those.

This could easily be a trap. They may have found out that we are connected to Abel. Let's be extra cautious.

    >What I said just before switching threads.

"What's the plan?" Amy asks you. "We could go in silent, or go in hard. If worst comes to worst, I can try to distract them and ask what happened to the 'neighbor' while you two investigate."
    >> Anonymous 05/04/12(Fri)15:55 No.18977388
    "Yeah. They aren't.
Can we contact the police with that? Eh, probably going to take too long, right?"

"I'm going to try to climb up from the alley into his apartment."
    Then do that.

"Maybe we could call the real cops?" You ask, and Grayson shakes his head.
"If anything, they might just start shooting. They look pretty twitchy. I don't think we should get anyone else involved."

"Okay, here's the plan." you say. <Onyx, give me line of sight.>
"This is probably a trap, but I might go up through the window from the alleyway." You say.
"You sure you can sneak by like that?" Amy asked, worried.
"You didn't see me on that last mission." You say. "If something goes wrong, create a distraction so I can get out."
You climb out of the car and get to the alleyway, sneaking as best you can in the daylight.

As you crawl through the window, you see that his room is pretty much destroyed. Things everywhere, drawers pulled out, bookcases stripped of objects, and his computer. . .his computer had been. . destroyed with some kind of incendary device.

As you creep through the remains of Abel's house, you see one of the 'officers' approaching. Shit.

Your mechandrites shoot to the ceiling, and you pull yourself up and out of sight. He walks below you as you hang there, and he looks around.

Now what? Now you need to find whatever it is Abel left you. . That is, if these guys didn't find it first.

"I'm just an office clerk." You say. "Accounting, TPS reports, the whole shebang."
"And you really need those to get that done?" She asked, raising an eyebrow and with a glance at the mechandrites.
"Well, they do come in handy sometimes."
She very slightly paled, noticing the new 'additions' to the mechandrites. But her mask was very good; she pretended not to even notice.
She forward, very brazenly showing off her chest. "Well, Dave, I can't wait to find out exactly how handy they can be." She flirted, but you knew what was up.

Bullet-time active. You leap out of your chair, bringing Onyx online. <Bring the droids.> You say, as the mechandrites fire wildly at the various agents and their weapons. Three of the agents go down after concentrated fire from your mechandrites, and you're moving too quickly for them to draw a bead on you.

One of the gauss projectiles catch Natalie in the head, and her head snaps back. When she tilts her head back towards you, you see a thick metal mesh underneath her skin. You knock the gun out of her hand with one mechandrite, and wrap the other mechandrite around her, using her as a human shield against the other agents.

Uh, I accidentally rolled a nat 20. Can we bank that for a mini-fate point?
    >> HeadRox 05/04/12(Fri)19:07 No.18979535
    rolled 85 = 85

I guess the limit is one.
    >> Exabyte !SIL6URyblU 05/04/12(Fri)19:10 No.18979581
You don't have a limit of fate points, but you guys will still only have the one.

Also, if there ever comes a time that you guys end up rolling so badly dave dies, I'm automatically going to spend the fate point. Unless it's a suitable end to the quest, that is.
    >> Anonymous 05/04/12(Fri)19:11 No.18979594
    rolled 11 = 11

Cool. We should probably keep the points for death situations like that.
    >> HeadRox 05/04/12(Fri)19:13 No.18979619
    rolled 39 = 39

So to not spend it accidentally, I won't roll :D

Well, what we can do next?
    When we will get futureshades?
    >> Exabyte !SIL6URyblU 05/04/12(Fri)19:14 No.18979634
you've already got the futurehelmet, which is way cooler than futureshades could ever be.
    >> HeadRox 05/04/12(Fri)19:15 No.18979644
    rolled 12 = 12

To which point AIs can control our body?
Can they, like control our pupils? Or liver, heart, etc?
    >> Anonymous 05/04/12(Fri)19:17 No.18979669
Y'know, I wouldn't mind having that jammer that Miss 100 has, or something similar. Oh, and how many USB ports do we have, and will we ever need to expand upon that number?
    >> Exabyte !SIL6URyblU 05/04/12(Fri)19:19 No.18979690
    >Most of that is all controlled by your subconscious. Your AIs can control them slightly, but as Azure previously said, your consciousness and subconsciousness has 'root control'. If they try to assert too much control over your physical body, your subconsciousness dominates them.
    >> Anonymous 05/04/12(Fri)19:21 No.18979717
Hey. What did we tell Nat when she drugged us?
    >> Anonymous 05/04/12(Fri)19:23 No.18979725
How are the numbers for rolls?
Like lose, slightly lose, even, success, great succes?
    >> Anonymous 05/04/12(Fri)19:23 No.18979735
I assume whatever we had learned by thread...2? So, basically about our first mission and what we thought about EE. Oh, and killing whats-her-face...Templar
    >> Exabyte !SIL6URyblU 05/04/12(Fri)19:24 No.18979741
You told her 'everything'. It's fuzzy, and you don't exactly know what you told her. Due to the drugs, she was just able to suggest that you two slept together and she totally didn't grill you on everything you know about EE, and you believed it.
    >> Anonymous 05/04/12(Fri)19:26 No.18979758
Dammit. So we didn't even sleep with her?
    >> HeadRox 05/04/12(Fri)19:26 No.18979766
    >> Anonymous 05/04/12(Fri)19:27 No.18979772
Nope, and she called us a vapid douchebag for even thinking she'd bang us.
    >> Anonymous 05/04/12(Fri)19:29 No.18979791
Don't worry my friend, one day we'll find a girl who loves us for who we are, for our tentacles and not just our spine. If only Amy was not a teenager, as it is I think she's a tad young for us.
    >> Exabyte !SIL6URyblU 05/04/12(Fri)19:30 No.18979796

usually, I give you guys a DC for whatever divides success and failure. If you're close to the DC, then it's either a 'slight success' or a 'slight failure'. If you're way above the DC, it'll be a massive success, and if you're way below, massive failure. A 100 is a special event, though, where you succeed so awesomely that it's a breeze.
    >> Red Baron   05/04/12(Fri)19:30 No.18979798
Anyways, thanks for the thread(s). Time to sleep! And I assure you OP. We'll still succesfully seduce and score on our truly beautiful but steel cold friend.
