One more thread 'til revolution, we will nip it in the bud!
We'll be ready for these school-boys!
They will wet themselves WITH BLOOOOOOOO-

    TG QUEST!!!

Short Summary: Good job, you killed Grimm! Too bad his death throes are collapsing the hollowed core of Hyrule!

Your troops in the planet core desperately try to rally as the quake makes it difficult for most to stand. Huge chunks of stone fall from the ceiling and cracks open in the floor, magma leaking up from below. Star-Lord's voice crackles over the comm, requesting for extraction over and over again.

As debris continues to fall all around your strike team at the planet's core, the Oncoming Storm is detecting a multitude of space-time fluctuations and ripples. Reports stream in of whole city blocks just vanishing into thin air, mountains erupting where there were none before, lakes and streams pouring forth where once there was only pavement. The planet's surface is violently changing in every way conceivable.

Alright, our first priority is getting our people out.
Al'Kesh 1 and Indefatigable, beam up our troops.
Al'Kesh 2 beam up the Mikasa (Asgard transporters are great) if it can't extract itself.

BLU Scout needs to run and grab the Ebon Lance of Longinus; he's the fastest guy we have on the ground.

Use Prawn TK to retrieve the lance of longinus!
    >> Potential Writefag 03/26/12(Mon)20:24 No.18468772
    First things first.

    Second thing.

Also, if possible grab Grimm's human body. Not the horrible fleshy-blob thing he was.

Al'Kesh, drop down in the Mikasa's hole until you can get transporter lock on us, and start beaming, for the love of God. Everyone, into the ship!

The planet's reverting to one of Hyrule's previous forms!

So was this your plan Goddesses?
Now that Grimm is gone, Hyrule will live once more?

    thrown Lance of Longinus
as many of Light's army as we can
Anyone in Jay's bar and the Robo-diner (we attacked Metpharm at dawn, so it should be about lunchtime now, yes?)
    Great Fox

    Anything else to loot?
    >> Anonymous 03/26/12(Mon)20:25 No.18468784
Right, grab Link and Zelda and get out of there. We need to send orders to our orbital forces to grab everyone we can, mainly: X-Com Nova, Chozo, Gunship, Falco and Slippy, As much of the Army of Light as mortally possible (Especially Light, Rock, The Contras, Snake and Samus), Ryu, Captain N, The Inspector and Penny.

Have Tosh contact the Goddesses, see if they want to come with/can do anything.
    >> Anonymous 03/26/12(Mon)20:26 No.18468802
What happened to our rescue plan that we wanted to do DURING the battle with Grimm?

Have Tosh ask the goddesses to come with us as well.

Have the ISDs from Jupiter tractor beam the Great Fox.
    >> Anonymous 03/26/12(Mon)20:28 No.18468834
Also, no more need for stealth; have Guardian, Valiance, Relentless, and All Under Heaven rendezvous with the Oncoming Storm.

Our forces need to pick up Link and Zelda, and the Avatar, to be beamed up.
Try to find Grimm's human body if it's there.

Open a comm-channel to Light, tell him to get everyone he can together, the reality is collapsing and we'll explain later.
Have the Relentless make a micro-Jump to the edge of the atmosphere and launch our Leopard and Union dropships to pick up Light and his forces. Try to get the Contra guys, Samus, and Snake, as well as Lucca and Light himself.
    Tell Light to recall Megaman.

    I have a plan!
Maybe the Inde's transphasic cloaking will let it get close enough to rescue people.

    rolled 16, 97, 32, 47 = 192

Your forces manage to retrieve the Lance no problem, the Al'Kesh beaming out as many people as possible as fast as they can while magma begins to burst up from the ground in fountains and leak down from the ceiling in rivulets.

Your ISDs jump close to the Great Fox and lock onto it with tractor beams, the ship powering up its defensive systems in response to the action, Arwing units beginning to scramble from its hangar.

    You attempt to contact Light...
    >> Anonymous 03/26/12(Mon)20:35 No.18468929
It's easier to teleport out if one of our guys is holding it, because our troops have subcutaneous tranporter beacons that enable fast lock-ons.

In this situation, we need all the milliseconds we can squeeze out of the transporters. While someone's grabbing the Lance, the transporters can be beaming out the other people we have down there.

You attempt to contact Dr. Light, but only a panicking lab aide picks up the comm. "What's going on?!" he screams.

Your ships warp into orbit to help with the evacuation/looting/rescue/whatever. The good news is that in the chaos, a good portion of the Galaxy Defense Force is vanished to elsewhere. The bad news is that your cover is broken and ships are being scrambled to intercept you, most notably the Star Destroyers as they are grappling with the Great Fox.

Just a thought, couldn't we just broadcast to Falco that our sensors indicate this area of space is becoming unstable along with the planet. We can keep them from being affected, but only if they are willing to work with us. We are just trying to save as many people as we can at this point. If they would like to take a chance on their own, we cannot guarantee their safety. Ask them if there is something we can do to prove that we are not hostile, other than the fact we have been helping Dr. Light and the fighting the corps. We don't have much time, so they need to decide now so we can focus our efforts elsewhere if they choose to stay.

The Mikasa begins to make its way up through the tunnel, flying as fast as it can. However, fate seems against the ship. Magma continually bursts from the tunnel walls, boulders crash into it, and its damaged drill-prow isn't half the help it was getting down. The Scarabs onboard do their best to mitigate the damage as it occurs, but one by one they themselves are destroyed by the roiling lava pouring from the collapsing tunnel. This is not your place and staying will not bring your comrade back. If you come with us, you will have a chance to do something greater. To prevent heroes like Fox from being destroyed in vain. I ask you this: If Fox was still here what would he ask of you? Would he want you to stay when the battle had moved elsewhere or to keep fighting for the safety of everyone? Our time is short. After Spike finishes, you send this off. There is no response over the communications channels, but the Great Fox has disengaged its FTL drives and is moving towards your ships.

"Found him!" one of the Aurors shouts, pointing to a shallow bowl of water that shows a ninja jumping around a collapsing city, barely avoiding the chunks of concrete plummeting overhead as he carries a bulging bag on his back.

The Overlord begins to lift off to the outraged cries of the crowd as its engines begin to burn. The crew has to fire onboard weapons to fight off an attempt by several armed gangers to hold the hatches. Several civilians are killed attempting to hang off the boarding ramps or weapons turrets as the machine ascends, only to drop off and fall too far to survive.

X-COM NOVA begins giving their coordinates as well as craft IDs, sending their modest array of ships to join you. The Al'Keshes begin to beam them up as fast as they can manage.

A giant explosion is visible in space as Zebes bursts outward before phasing into nothingness.

On the planet, the majority of the surface is now covered in shifting forest, mountains, or seas. Huge tracts of The City fall to nothing. Huge space-time distortion waves ripple across the surface, reshaping everything in their path. Streams of civilian air attempt to flee event waves only to get caught in them and vanish, while several streams of spacecraft crawl upwards towards what they hope is salvation.

The Relentless isn't near full, but its shields are already taking damage from collapsing buildings, and they are perilously close to an event wave. The captain is requesting permission to rejoin the fleet.

The announcement that you are carrying refugees causes the GDF to falter in its attack, they regroup and the Storm can detect them conducting several high-powered scans of your fleet.

The Relentless begins to lift off as slowly, the entire surface of the planet begins to shine with multi-colored light.

Alright. Let's gather our fleet together and ensure that everyone can make the jump to HQ. We should also ask the members of the Great Fox for a confirmation of whether they want to join us or not; I'm pretty sure that we'll have to make special warp-technobabble preparations to ensure that they'll make it to HQ.

Should we do the same for the GDF remnants?

Storm, get into range of the ships coming off the planet. All Under Heaven, have the ships in orbit gather into your transit window.

Only a handful of GDF ships break ranks and enter the transit bubble as the planet flares with blinding light and you make the jump to transpace.

A few moments later you appear in realspace near the Sector HQ, the sensor board lighting up as you detect a massive fleet encircling the station! The moment of panic fades though, as ANON swiftly pegs them all with TG identification tags.

    List of questions.

When we ordered Mouse to hack into the computer system, did he get any plans for Zero, Megaman, Protoman or any other robots?

Did Cossack give us any of above data?

    What ships came with us?

What did we acquire from the frantic looting at the end?

Is it possible to replicate any of the robot masters with the Hercules via a research project?
    >> Anonymous 03/26/12(Mon)23:32 No.18471460
Now. After this we can check out the void engineer warzone or go to the SRWQ spot or do space pirating. At the same time we now have enough ships to multi-task and stuff. Space pirating and backtracking allows us to kill time for research and engineerign to catch up. Hunt down Hedonians, free the hostages.

We can now send the AUH to check out the grey world and do scans of it to conclusively determine what the colors on the sector map REALLY refer to.

We should invest 100% into small meta ships (for the transit drives) so we can actually do multi-tasking.
    >> Anonymous 03/26/12(Mon)23:34 No.18471489
My main concern with splitting up our task force is the kinds of shit that we've had to fight. I'm afraid that if we split the task force, we'll end up losing ships.

    >> Anonymous 03/26/12(Mon)23:37 No.18471521
We can afford to split our forces now, seriously.

Splitting up our forces is for doing mining/engineering/research errands and backtracking, NOT doing lynchpins/distortions.

    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)00:12 No.18471909

We've managed to clear that last lynchpin world. Turns out that the cause of it all was a rogue scientist named "Dr. Grimm". He shaped the world into an 8-bit grimdark dystopia central in a perverse need to "preserve" the canon even after it had run its original course; he was also vastly mutated either by the energies needed to sustain such a place, or chose to mutate himself. We've got his corpse in one of the containment bays aboard our vessels, if R&D wants to have a look at it.

After defeating Grimm, the Hyrulian goddesses that presided over the world that Grimm shaped returned all of the canon-essential characters (and most of the non-essential people) to their rightful places. We've taken significant losses in terms of personnel and vehicles, but we did not lose any starships or heroes.

After Grimm died, the Hyrulian goddesses appeared to reconstruct the world that Grimm warped. While they sent people back to their respective canons, there were also a number of people who weren't sent back.

These people include several heroes and other combatants; they're currently either aboard our ships or following us in the non-TG flagged vessels. We've also taken on a significant amount of civilians/non-combatants who sought refuge on our ships when the goddesses started to reconstruct the world.

Economizers sound useful for white mages.
    Ethers might be handy.
Nethack holy water - can convert other water into holy water. Blesses things. Could be handy, especially if we keep going up against unholy abominations.
Book of Identify - yes. We keep picking up all sorts of random crap that we don't know what it is.
Flute, Drums - probably cheaper than 10% more troops, might as well get it. If we're getting those, might as well get all the Aura items.
Staff of Negation - Spammable dispel, hurts summons. Could be handy. Take along a staff of silence too, if we come up against spellcasters.
    Black Barrel - isn't it canon-important?
Nannybags / Rejuve tanks - yes please.
Mobile emitters - medical holograms and incursion tech? Also good.
D&D Spells - could be REALLY expensive, get a cost quote before grabbing them.
Might be worth grabbing the nethack divination spells, too.

Seems to be missing the SMAC tech databases and the Cortical stacks.
SMAC tech would be really handy; we could get awesome weapons and armor.
Cortical Stacks are extremely useful to us, too.

Upgraded tele for shenanigans might be good.
Upgraded fabricator for shenanigans might be good.
Gonna need a Meta-comms array if we're playing trader.
TG Looter team - might be handy, but we can do loot runs ourselves if we want, I assume.
No idea what the techbow does.
Hero resser and reroller would be handy.
Zol is a boss but is probably too expensive to be worth recruiting.
The ENTIRE SUPERFORTRESS? My god you think big. Out of our pay grade for sure.

D&D spells - Guys already running off a computer database, we just need to update it.
Techbow is an awesome bow that can take down planes.
Superfortress - can send looters to get.

Meta-com array - possibly craftable ourselves from meta-ship designs.

Taking a Tausennigan Superfortress intact is actually easier than it seems, if you can get into one. And teraport interdiction fields can't stop teleporters.
And the shields in Schlock Mercenary are gravitic based and can't stop a subspace transport straight into their AI Control Center and right next to the switch that turns off the AI's allegiance.
And finally, the AI's are hardcoded to obey an ob'enn, with priority going to the one controlling their allegiance switch.

So it's quite a bit more plausible than it originally seems.

The Strike Bomber and Grace Note have very different functions. The former is more frontline fighting , and the latter are ultra-long distance snipers.
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)02:59 No.18473547
Then that means going to two different StarCraft Canons, of which we still need to get the meta coordinates for.
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:02 No.18473569
At the end of the day, we still need meta coordinates, period.

There's this bizarre chance that we'll enter the Zerg Quest canon, by the way. Of course, if we do enter it, we can snatch as many named Ghosts and Spectres as we please, since they have no mention/relevance in there due to massive derailment.

Of course, the risk of hitting Zerg Quest is very rewarding in itself too...
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:03 No.18473579
Man I don't want to risk that.
Opens too many cans of worms.
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:05 No.18473588
If we hit Zerg Quest, we have a chance of getting the academy people without damage since...

    >>PseudoHeisenberg's Literary Uncertainty Principle
    >>-Cannot know location and velocity of an off-focus character at same time
    >>-Allows for respawns for background characters
    >>-Allows for multi-recruitment respawns for 'plucked' recruits as well
    >>-Makes asking what is real or not in MetaEarth's multiverse an invalid question

We can take on Dyles, Kingston, Bernie and Gorn and run away to tell about it, if shit happens.

ANON: "Vespene gas can't be replicated. It may be a good idea to acquire a large stockpile of minerals and gas to store on the AUH for use in the field."

    Next thread.
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:06 No.18473604
Zerg Quest, depending on WHEN we land there, might work out for us. Cerebrate is determined to attempt a few direction for the Zerg, one that doesn't involve a relentless tide of Zerg crashing down on an enemy.
    >> Codeki 03/27/12(Tue)03:06 No.18473608
As a regular to Zerg Quest, I would find it hilarious if we rob it. Sadly, though, most of the tech we developed there wouldn't be of any use to us because it's Zerg only.
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:07 No.18473610
We can snatch practically _ALL_ the named ghosts, Nova included, this way. And Delta, for the sake of that waifufag.

We can literally run around scooping up background characters like a combine harvester.

    In particular, CAPITALISM HO!

All in favor of Zerg Quest, say aye.
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:08 No.18473629
Alright, that means that we'll need to take the AUH along with us if we go. Maybe the Guardian and the Valiance, too.
Then we fill up our ships to the gills with vespene gas and minerals.
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:09 No.18473635
    So, shit to sort out:
List the people we looted from that canon, vs. the people we lost.
Convince them to join us peacefully.
Levelups for the Shadowrunner, and possibly also Darius, Data, Gondegal, Star-Lord.
    Pick a ship
    Pick a ship upgrade
    Pick 3 vehicles/mechs
    Pick 3 squads
    Pick 3 heroes
Confirm that we're getting the items listed, or at least as many of them as possible.

I'd be careful with that. It's ALMOST CERTAIN that a Canon will fix itself from small distortions and allow respawns of characters. Almost. It's an uncertainty principle, and relying on one of those to be true has a very tiny - but present - chance of biting you in the ass.

We just make sure we keep with the timeline of who is where at what time, like in the Grimm world, right?

One more vote in for Zerg questing.

Alright, so we seem to be amenable to Tosh's plan, as long as we can get the meta-coordinates for a StarCraft Canon.

Do we have time to meet with the Gurus?
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:13 No.18473668
I'll write that down as a "yes" vote. The Zerg tech isn't our aim anyways.

    Zerg Quest, HERE WE COME!
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:15 No.18473689
    In my opinion:
Transpace Looter team + their vessel
    Ship upgrade:
Comms array. If that's free, then upgraded teleporters
    ARM or CORE commander
[Nod and GDI MCVs, Sonic tanks, and Drill tanks, which we loot on our own form the C&C Canon]
    White Mages
    Alpha Centauri Engineers
    Alpha Centauri Thinkers
Cleric of Desna (true ressing, rerolling)

Isn't Zerg Quest the one with the Cockalisks and shit? Can we go to a less rapey Starcraft canon?

MetaOp what would it cost us to get MechaGodzilla? Can we get him in some sort of a bundle?
    >> Codeki 03/27/12(Tue)03:18 No.18473716
That was a long time. We purged those demons. . . and nuked the shit out of them.

Bernie the Rape Zergling, then the Rape Cerebrate, was killed when he rebelled.
I'm averse to Mecha-godzilla because, despite his immense smashy power, you don't often need smashy power in restoring the canon.
He is the fucking KING of smashy power, but I'd rather have looters or construction units or scientists.
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:20 No.18473729
Now, how do we get Cerebrate Anon's permission? He's gonna have a session this week, right?
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:20 No.18473731
Yeah but if we ever need Smashy Power it's good to have it there. MechaGodzilla may not be appropriate to launch for every mission, but when we need MechaGodzilla it'll be great to have him there.

Also, he's adorable and huggable and cuddly.
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:21 No.18473741
We don't need permission. We show up, throw him some booze, and be like "sup bro, heard you were havin' a party and woooooooooah dude what's up with the tadpoooooles"

    No, No, NO, NOO NNOOOOO!

If we're robbing Zerg quest, we will do it while the universe was still someone normal. This is before Dyles came into existence. On a normal Starcraft timeline, this would be about the time Aiur is being attacked.

    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:27 No.18473796
For the third Troop choice, instead of White Mages, it'll probably need to be TG Looter Team.
The Ship Requisition will likely get us the Requisitions ship and crew we need, but the actual Looting part will likely need to be done by a Team.

If we can get both team and ship with a single Ship Requisition, that's fine.
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:30 No.18473822
Looter teams are part of a command staff.
The infantry and heavy-lifting are done with troops we give them.
Like, if we have troops unassigned, we say "right, here you go, get us something" and they go get us something.
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:36 No.18473880
Do you really want to leave our troops to a bunch of looters?
Especially as how many of our troops actually come back will be determined by the dice alone, and won't be mitigated by planning and all of the support that our task force has?
    >> Anonymous 03/27/12(Tue)03:41 No.18473921
TG Looter Team = workaround requisitions shutdown. GM approved and endorsed.

Now how do you suppose we reliably recruit Tosh's classmates?
    >> Codeki 03/27/12(Tue)03:44 No.18473954
We could jack them from the "Starcraft Ghost" canon. It's dead, and will never be used again.
