Tick-tock, tick-tock, the hours slip away...I sit here wondering where I went astray. This Quest was originally slated to be fifty threads long.Instead, we're ending up fighting everything from Kane to King Kong.Yet as I sit down to start another session of chaos,I realize I STILL have to go through and update the... summary... oas.Shit.TG QUEST!!!Last Thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/18303830/
But we love all the time and effort that you put into the quest OP!!
Engineering list: http://pastebin.com/7hTAHGyg The Summary: http://pastebin.com/3ATuVKRQInventory/Forces: http://pastebin.com/HGsJUZZbShort Summary:You are assaulting MetPharm, a corporation run secretly by Mother Brain, and despised by X-COM NOVA. You are taking advantage of a NOVA attack to break into the labs of their HQ and attempt to steal back the three Sacred Gems of Hyrule before MetPharm can figure out how to use them.Your forces have successfully defeated Samus, who still weak from her bonding with the Chozo Suit, was able to be beaten and talked down by Spike. You also let loose a Yellow Devil in the Secure Specimen Storage chamber. You retreated, and the Devil responded by going on a rampage, breaking open more and more specimens in stasis, who then ran rampant through the labs. You sealed off the Secure Specimen chamber with dual cast Walls of Iron, and it seems to be holding for now.You proceeded to loot the other labs and made off with one of the Sacred Gems, as well as a nice selection of weapons and gear. You also learned from a cowering scientist that the other gems are inside Secure Specimen Storage. Oops.CHOOSE YOUR FATE.
>>18351738Okay, we should be able to see into Specimen storage past the iron wall using our exographic scanners. The wall is iron, not the alloy that defeated our scanners. Also ask the scientists if the tonberries we're found to be vulnerable to any toxins.
What's the status of the baneblades and drones we dispatched to Light by the way?
>>18351738have the abjurer's cast Cloudkill behind the wall of iron.http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/cloudkill.htm>This spell generates a bank of fog, similar to a fog cloud, except that its vapors are yellowish green and poisonous. These vapors automatically kill any living creature with 3 or fewer HD (no save). A living creature with 4 to 6 HD is slain unless it succeeds on a Fortitude save (in which case it takes 1d4 points of Constitution damage on your turn each round while in the cloud).>A living creature with 6 or more HD takes 1d4 points of Constitution damage on your turn each round while in the cloud (a successful Fortitude save halves this damage). Holding one’s breath doesn’t help, but creatures immune to poison are unaffected by the spell. If we're lucky, they have bad fort saves.
rolled 43 = 43>>18351820I was about to ask how the casters would be able to see the area they were casting, then >>18351795.Very, very clever. Let's see how bad those saves are. As usual, you want high.>>18351812I'll handle that when we wrap up the lab.
>>18351843Also, can we stack them so that they don't leave the clouds even after the clouds move the ten feet. You take damage based on amount of time in there, and unless they're immune to poison, eventually, they'll fall due to the ability damage to their health.
>>18351843Your Abjurers cast a Cloudkill while borrowing the exographic sights from the Delta Greens. They see a mass of monsters of all types clawing and scraping at the iron door. A greenish cloud roils forth from the floor as the spell goes off, killing a third of the creatures instantly and causing the rest to scatter and flee from the deadly gas.
>>18351866Do you want to cast multiple Cloudkills then?
>>18351738>>18351843Here's a thought. Gondegal can move through the walls and shit, right? Have him ghost through like he's been doing so well so far, physically locate the stones, and use the vent system in this place to bring them out to us. Once we've got them, I say we take our loot, those scientists whom we can bring with us, and GTFO.We.. Don't really have a reason to hang around after that. Maybe give Samus a ride to the surface with her newfound bounty hunter profession...
I'm here. What now?
>>18351881Can they still see the creatures? If they can see any through there, expecially Tonberries, alternate casting so that the person with the least kills casts it next time.If we can't see any creatures. Save it for later.
>>18351889That's a good thought.Let's combine this with >>18351897Haven Gondegal go into Specimen Storage while ethereal, locate the Jewels, manifest his hands to carry the Jewels, and bring them to us via the ventilation system that the xenomorphs had used to attempt to flank us.
Ask Samus if she's interested in helping us clear Specimen Storage.Offer to pay her. It'll be her first job as a bounty hunter.Delta Greens should be able to snipe enemies through walls, though it won't do much good against the Metroids. How many ways are there into Specimen Storage? If it's just the one, we can easily transmute the Floor into Lava, set up a freezing circle, get a Prefab bunker or Prefab barricade set up, and start using GUN on MAN.We do still want a cloudkill - but use someone who hasn't already got a ton of kills.Someone suggested getting 10-20 of the Securitrons down here to utterly screw the Tonberries, since the Securitrons haven't gotten any kills yet. It seems like a good idea.
>>18351938To go along with this, immediately hit up the Abjurers with ReRaise from the White Mages.
>>18351889>>18351897You alternate casting Cloudkills until there are no more monsters left in the corridor, either having been slain or fled back to the specimen chamber.Gondegal begins to pass through the walls towards the specimen chambers as one of the Abjurers with the exographic sights winces."Hey... uh.. guys? There's something moving through the Cloudkill. It looks like a burning ball of something, maybe a wisp? No, it's got eyes and a mouth... Holy shit it looks pissed... It's going straight for the Wall!"
>>18351956>It looks like a burning ball of something, maybe a wisp? No, it's got eyes and a mouth... Holy shit it looks pissed...If it's Mario sun, throw turtles at it.
>>18351956BOMB! GEt the fuck back guys!
>>18351956It's worth noting that despite several of the reptilians falling over slain, none of the Abjurers suffered any sort of ill effect. It's probably they weren't Tonberries at all, but some other foe.>>18351955Your White Mages cast Reraise on the Abjurers. Just in case.>>18351940"Even if I agreed, I'm still not in the best shape to help," Samus states, sitting against a wall. "All the dizziness and sickness I was feeling earlier's back. It's like being coated in leeches."
>>18351956Quick, give us a datafeed from the exographic scanner! ANON, check it against our database! It's either Angry Sun, or maybe Phantos.
>>18351956Throw up a magical shield, and move away from the wall. We may be able to get a look at it so we know how to deal with it. Also, have the Auror's cast the flame immunity spell on everyone they can.If it looks like this, just hit it with a hard enough object. If it doesn't, have the Auror's hit it with a water spell.
>>18351977Ding ding ding. Too bad you're fresh out of turtles. The Wall of Iron begins to glow red hot as the Abjurers scramble away."It's burning through the wall!" one cries out.
>>18351986use ELAINE on SAMUS>>18351986Oh. So I panicked over nothing. My bad.Still, lizardlike, half the height of a person, walks forward steadily. What, were they koopas?
>>18352008Accio Koopa shell!Have Elaine and Lyla attempt Esuna on Samus. It may help her feel better.
>>18352004Aurors, Agumenti it.Abjurers, Protection against fire circle please.Lyla, hit it with a Holy. You have the Smites Evil talent and that thing's evil.Anyone got any solid objects to throw at it?
Good news, everyone! Since we're up against angry sun now, we won't be up against this monster.
>>18352004Have the Auror's cast Flame-Freezing Charm. Causes fire to become harmless to those caught in it, creating only a gentle, tickling sensation instead of burns.Ajburers use Magic Missile. It should hit with enough force to hurt it.
>>18352029We have a wall of iron. Perhaps we could accio it and cause it to fall over on the angry sun, or accio nearby heavy objects to smack it.I'm going to guess that rifle rounds and such won't be heavy enough to count as a hammer or koopa shell hitting it. If we can't smack it with Koopa shells or Hammer Bros. hammers, perhaps ice spells may help.
>>18352049Even better news! This asshole just got killed by Cazaclaws.
>>18352029>>18352052These two, especially the Aguementi and Flame-Freezing Charms form the Aurors, and Lyla leading the White Mages in Holy attacks. Gongegal to continue on his mission.
>>18352049The DRUM?THE HORROR!!!!!!!
>>18352067Gandalf ain't got nothing on Carnival Night Zone barrel.
The newest version./shudders
rolled 81, 25 = 106The grimacing miniature sun bursts from the Iron Wall, sending a spray of white hot liquid metal over the immediate area. The Abjurers do not have any mass resist fire spells (that I could find on the SRD), and so do the next best thing and begin casting the single target resists on those nearest the monsters while the Aurors attempt to make the monster's flame harmless. Lyla begins casting Holy...
>>18352102Needs moar cazaclaw.
>>18352102Needs more Otto from Berserk.
>>18352108Have one of the Aurors try to cast Immobulus on the Angry Sun. The spells is an area-effect target spell, and the important thing is to stop the Sun so we can deal with it.
>>18352112Otto. . . Otto. . . AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!

>>18352049>>18352102Guys, I think the ultimate enemy either killed or scared away Metaquest OP
rolled 18 = 18>>18352122An unlucky Auror and White Mage are incinerated beyond raising as the flaming ball roars and flies into them before they can escape. Their screams echo through the halls as fire consumes them utterly in the space of a few short seconds, armor slagging, flesh withering before crisping, and a terrible scent filling the area. The other Aurors manage to cast the Aguementi and Flame-Freezing Charms. The former sends several jets of clear water sizzling onto the creature, evaporating almost instantly, while the second causes the Sun's flame to dim. When it swoops in to attack a third Auror, the spellcaster suffers burns, but is not immediately consumed. It seems to have had a partial effect.Another Auror attempts to paralyze the monster as Lyla's finishes casting. A pillar of pure illumination flares down on the fusion-powered foe, presenting your forces with the odd spectacle of light burning away fire. When the light recedes, the monster remains, but its fires are dimmer and it moves slower. It seems even more angry though.
>>18352240Everyone fire everything. Hit it with more holies.Douglas, get the Okku out.Send in the Okku. Why is the Okku not tanking the sun?
>>18352240Aurors, continue with Aguementi and Immobulus spells.Lyla continue with Holy. Abjurers, hit it with Magic Missiles. Delta Greens, switch to Mass Rifles; let's see how this fusion-fueled monstrosity takes being hit by micro-black holes.
>>18352255Maybe because trying to get Okku to tank the Sun is a bad idea? Cause Okku is still vulnerable to damage, and you're sending something with fur against fire?
>>18352240Evasive, folks! Lyla, Elaine, more Holy!Douglas, get Okku out here. Have you Persona bat chunks of the floor at it or something. Everyone stay away from this fucker! Some of you, keep an eye on that door. If you see a large turtle shell, call out and have an Auror fling it at the Angry Sun.
Abjurers, use Summon Monster to summon a turtle. We can use it to kill the Angry Sun.
rolled 94 = 94>>18352240The Immobolus Charm fails utterly against the "Angry Sun" as it screams in fury and soars towards the Auror that had attempted to paralyze it. Tosh thinks fast and activates his psionic-shield, knocking the Auror out of the way before taking the charge on his powerful barrier. Potent as Tosh's defense is, the Sun's second slam against it pops the psionic field like a bubble. Tosh can't help but cry out as he suffers serious burns even while rolling away from the monster.A feral roar shakes the ground as Okku bounds forward to grapple with the burning foe. The Great Bear's fur alights and burns begin to creep across even his supernatural hide, but he does not flinch, battering the Angry Sun with powerful blows imbued with divine energies. The Delta Greens begin to raise their Mass Rifles, but before they can fire, a blur of dirty grey fur bursts from the breached Wall. Before the Deltas can react, a monstrous humanoid with spindly limbs, matted, stinking fur, and a huge maw with yellow fangs grabs one of the veteran soldiers. The maw distends, looking as if the jaws were unhinged as the beast crams the unfortunate soldier in and chews frantically, sending sprays of blood and gore over those near him. In the span of a second, the soldier is gone and the creature leers at those near it for its next meal.If that were bad enough, a small group of the reptiles from earlier have returned, hastily waddling towards your forces through the breached Wall...
>>18352323Aurors, transfigure the yeti into a turtle, then throw him at the angry sun!
>>18352323Lyla, Holy on the Sun!Elaine, Cure 2 on Tosh.White Mages, 2 Cures on Okku, 3 of you cast Haste on Aurors.Aurors, set up a Repello Inimicum disintegration charm to keep those lizards and anything else from leaving the Specimen Storage room. One of you use a transfiguration spell on the yeti.Delta Green's, fire mass rifles at the creature.MI's, fire phasers set to maximum stun to slow that creature down.
>>18352323MASS RIFLE THAT YETI IMMEDIATELY!Also, have an Auror grab those reptiles and begin pelting the Angry Sun with them.Lyla, Elaine; double-team Holy!Douglas, back Okku off and have it claw chunks out of the floor to fling at the Angry Sun. Melee is a bad idea here.Everyone else, open fire with whatever you've got! Bring these freaks down!
We may want to have the white mages begin healing wounded troops (especially heroes), if they haven't begun to do so.
>>18352323Transfigure to turtle @ Yeti. Then throw the turtle at the Angry Sun.
Those reptiles might not be Koopa Troopas; they may be lemmings instead. OP, can we get a positive ID on the reptiles to see if they are shelled and/or turtle-like or not?
rolled 24, 60, 28 = 112>>18352361>>18352323>>18352363The yeti immediately yanks another Delta Green into its maw and greedily devours him even before the others can react. However when they do, it is swift and decisive, a volley of microscopic black holes ripping apart the monster in the blink of an eye before he can devour any more of your team.Okku bounds away from the Sun as another Holy hits it, then another. The creature howls and begins to bound towards a Mobile Infantryman as the MI fires phasers at it. The advanced weapons seem to have no effect as the ball of fire slams into the power-armored troops, damaging their armor, but failing to cause system failure.
>>18352427Goddammit, we lost another DG trooper, even on a 94?Shit, with Requisitions shutting down, we can't afford these losses! We need those cortical stacks!
Everyone with a mass rifle, shoot at the sun, we need that thing stopped.
Now that the Yeti is down, have the Delta Green's begin mass rifle fire on the Angry Sun.Have a White Mage cast Wall on the MI Trooper who got hit by the Sun, the defense against energy and physical attacks might help. Aurors, continue setting up that disintegration field.Lyla, Elaine, Abjurers, you've got your orders.
>>18352427Did we get the Yeti's head?if the Yeti's head is intact, we'd better loot it.Have we considered using the stuff we got from the Tech labs?I'm not sure who's qualified to operate Big Frickin' Guns, but whoever is, might as well pick it up and start firing. We have the Big Purple Monster formula, but this isn't the time to use it.We have the Pandora's Box, but again, not the time to use it.Megacrash Launcher would be worth using now.Neishot also possibly worth using.Powered suit prototypes will need to be Researched before using.
>>18352439The Yeti was capable of far, FAR worse. That 94 shut it down before it could bust out the heavy havoc.Your White Mages act swiftly to undo the wounds already caused by the Angry Sun as it rolls into the Shadowrunners, killing a lone unlucky Street Shaman and only wounded a Combat Mage. The White Mages raise the fallen in short order, the fire from the Sun no longer enough to fully incinerate its foes. Nor is it enough to burn away projectiles now as the Shadowrunners hose it with automatic weapons. The Sun's flame dies down even lower, revealing a black surface veined with glowing red lines beneath the roaring fire.
>>18352499Agrias, hit it with a Stasis Sword strike.DG's, fire on the Sun with your Mass Rifles.Aurors, continue setting up that protection charm.Lyla, you hit the Sun with a Holy, Elaine cast Raises on anyone that needs them.White Mages, cast Cures as needed.
>>18352499Shoot the core! Shoot the core! Shoot the core! Shoot the core! Shoot the core! All fire on the core!Guys, how you doing with those critters coming out of the lab still?Gondegal, please tell me you're getting close to those Stones. We're having issues out here!
Things we have on hand:Magic Troops:11 White Mages (-1)6 Abjurers 5 Aurors (-1)Shooty Troops:10 Shadowrunners (-2)10 Delta Greens (-2)3 Mobile InfantryDROOONES:14 Drones (-2 Drooones! so far)Hero troops:1 Agrias (Terrain changing, Melee)1 Douglas + Okku (Tank, Social)1 Elaine (Healer, Resser, Can heal Mechs)1 Gondegal (Ghost)1 Lyla (Healer, Smiter)1 Spike (Detective, Pistol user, Resists death)1 Star-Lord (Troop Commander, Melee)1 Tosh (Stealthy, Sniper, Telepath)1 VP-99 (Finds the path of least resistance)Star-Lord's getting a Levelup from this, no doubt. He was almost at one when we completed the kingdom of Zeal.Gondegal's no doubt getting a Levelup from his work done both here, and at the other corps.Agrias is getting a lot of XP, but likely not enough for any levelups. With the amount of Shite our Aurors have gone through, I'm surprised we don't have a hero one yet.
Where'd the Metroids go?...They're forming into Boss Metroid, aren't they? Bugger.I wonder what else we're meant to be fighting in here. Yellow Devil, Boss Metroid, and ... who else?
Scattered Mass Rifle fire from the Delta Greens finally takes the Sun down as the reptiles waddle closer, finally stopping as they start hacking and wheezing.Almost in unison they belch out a stream of slimy green bubbles that float through the air. One touches a Shadowrunner and he immediately lets out a strangled gasp, doubling over as his flesh twists and moves on its own, changing color to a deep red. In the space of a few seconds, his limbs contort, wrapping around his torso until they are absorbed. The former Decker now appears to be a horribly bumpy, knobbed cube of flesh with the only vaguely human feature two horrified eyes and a twisted mouth locked open, drooling. The reptiles bound closer and long, thin tongues dart from their mouths to stick to the mutated Runner and jerk him to them as they begin to eat him alive.
>>18352552And, though this may be FAR too Metametagaming, is it possible for our DRONES! to share their experience with Data? Or, does Data gain levelups from research?>>18352595Oh, Bubble Bobble.Everyone, get right the fuck back.maximum the fuck back.Anyone got shields or wall spells?Get that shit up.Agrias, the floor here is far too ALLOWS THINGS TO WALK TOWARDS US. Get rocks or magma up.Aurors, we need some Arresto motherfucking Momentum.Tosh, gonna need a Psi blast.
>>18352595SHOOT THE HELL OUT OF THEM! I SAW WHAT THEY DID TO SAMUS BECAUSE OF /V/!
>>18352595Fuck! Bubble Bobble!Aurors! Accio that runner back to use!Elaine, we could use your Esuna on that guy right now!Every other Auror use Immobulus and Levi Corpus to stop those fuckers from getting any closer.MI and DG's, fire on those reptiles with phasers set to kill and mass rifles.Star-Lord, stay out of range, use your sub-machine guns.VP-99, begin fire.Agrias, use your Geomancer Lava Ball ability to keep those monsters from getting closer.Okku and Douglas, same thing.
rolled 51, 29 = 80>>18352623>>18352627Everyone begins to scramble back from the monsters, and especially from the bubbles still floating towards them as your forces attempt to rally...
>>18352642VENTUS!Aurors, use Ventus to push those bubbles back!
>>18352642>>18352649Good point.Blow those bubbles back where they came from.
We need to prevent them from doing this.
>>18352660Well at least that explains where all the metroids went.
Please keep gross pictures to a minimum. Fucking please.
>>18352681Relax, it's just Samus getting mutilated. It's not dicks or poop.
rolled 23, 10 = 33>>18352623>>18352627The Aurors manage to push back or pop the bubbles floating towards the group with magic, but the mutated runner is beyond saving at this point. Then a line of magma erupts across the reptiles and Agrias kneels and channels geomantic power, causing a number of the beasts to be consumed by the liquid rock as all sorts of guns fire, slaughtering the beasts where they stand. The living creatures open their maws, but before they can retaliate, a Mindblast causes several to explode and stuns the others, giving your team precious time.

rolled 1, 14 = 15>>18352719What a shame those weren't rolled by me. That 100 prolly would've finally given you an Auror hero too.>>18352715More of the reptiles stream from the shattered containment area beyond the Iron Wall, belching more bubbles as your troops keep up the barrage of fire. The Aurors do their best and the creatures drop one after another to the heavy firepower you can bring to bear, but a few bubbles get through, causing another two White Mages and a Shadowrunner to twist and mutate. A few bubbles break on your drones, to no effect, and when one contacts a Mobile Infantryman you brace yourself, but it seems his suit protected him.
Would Aurors casting Avis + Oppungno while retreating be a good idea? The Bobblers may opt to try to snag some birds instead of go after our team. However, this will create more bubbles for the team to deal with, for sure.

He throws the weapon away and grabs the MegaCrash Launcher from the Drone that was carrying it. "Gimme dat!""You dumbass, we don't know what that can-" one of the other Runners starts to say, reaching for the weapon. The troll knocks him away, raising the bulky gun towards the reptiles."EAT IT, SHORTIES!!!!" he roars, pulling the trigger on the weapon. Suddenly explosions with no discernible source rock the area, tearing apart both friend and foe with equal abandon as the troll falls backward, his finger still on the trigger. Another series of explosions sends everyone flying, and another and another and another until the weapon finally flies from the Runner's hands as a chunk of ceiling falls on him. The subterranean construction of the labs begins to cave in on itself, huge chunks of steel, concrete, and cables falling everywhere as all contact with the away team is temporarily lost.

rolled 68, 90, 6, 72, 43, 53, 13, 68, 99, 3, 80, 30, 52, 60, 57, 77, 76, 7, 40, 23, 69, 29, 30, 80, 100 = 1325FOR THE EMPRAH!
>>18353078You realize that you're not helping things at all, right?
rolled 19, 44 = 63>>18353043>>18353048Your teams start digging as Cheryl concentrates. Luckily the cave-in along with the X-COM NOVA assault seems to be distracting MetPharm enough they can't deal with you for the moment, but this is probably temporary.
rolled 23, 86, 80, 96, 64 = 349RAIDAH PAAANCHRAIDAH KIIIIIIIIIIIIIICKKKKKKUUUUUUUU
>>18353089Have the Psions help Cheryl in attempting to lock on to Tosh, since he likely has the strongest psi signature out of our away team.
>>18353089Are you rolling d50s without telling us?Roll total:60, 51, 48, 44, 29, 28, 28, 24, 23, 19, 15, 14, 10, 1.That's 14d100 for a total of 393, after the Yeti.Whatever you were planning to send at us once the Yeti died ... it's working.
rolled 76, 86 = 162>>18353089"I can sense them... buried in the antechamber..." Cheryl murmurs. "Agrias managed to use her Geomancy to manipulate the rubble and rock, saved some of them. A lot are dead. If Agrias hadn't... wait. Tosh is alive too. He's using his psionic barrier to stop the rock from crushing him. It can't last forever, though. You have to hurry!"
>>18353100On the plus side, at least Raidah is doing amazingly well, he'll be sure to get us out of this mess.>>18353125Well, let's go in, and tally up the dead.X-com plasma tunneling, KI augmented strength digging, Drone drilling, with Cheryl and Farseer guidance.Get everyone up to ship asap, even the corpses. We may well be able to reconstruct some of them.
>>18353125Dammit, we need to hurry.ANON, can the Storm's sensors find a path for us down to the antechamber? SCP and UNIT, you have phasers. Set them to Level 16 to tunnel your way through.
..Okay, whoever the fuck this is rolling in this thread OTHER than MetaQuest OP needs to fucking stop. You're taking all our good and/or decent rolls. We just had a BUILDING COLLAPSE ON OUR AWAY TEAM because you are a fucking idiot. No one but OP *should* be rolling anyhow. He doesn't accept any rolls that are not the ones his posts generate so all you're doing is messing up the /tg/ dice generator scripts. Now; as to this issue more digging. Also, use sensor locks from tricorders and other various detection methods to start beaming out any biomass with HUMAN DNA or machinery with FRIENDLY ELECTRONIC SIGNATURES. Past that, dig out the Stone.
>>18353125The most immediate thing I can think of is to get our teleporter ships in there and get them out. However, unless we can ramp up our ECM, this may mean that our ships will be detected as we close in there to teleport them out. Another thing may be to attempt some heavy-duty tunneling with our current force of drones there, deploying additional troops with that capability if necessary. If that doesn't work, have VP-98 deployed and attempt to find a way to the antechamber counting the current terrain deformations correlated to the current map we have of MetPharm.
>>18353151Classic sign of a that guy, complains about people taking the good rolls and blaming them for things left purely to chance with insults to boot.
>>18353166That won't work because the alloy used by MetPharm in their building blocks temporal viewing and transporters. It was mentioned already, and that's why we couldn't get transporter support during the fight. The deepest place our transporters can reach is the insertion zone we've already secured.
>>18353125We can't let those dangerous creatures go and contaminate the canon further.Load up a VF-25 with two reaction bombs, and fire it at the Metpharm insertion point. At least let's honor their sacrifices well.
>>18353184This.
>>18353125Bomb the shit our way through. Get an airstrike to clear the area, stat!
>>18353184What? Are you fucking stupid?Destruction of the MetPharm building is just as bad, if not more destructive to the Canon, by eliminating a major player in the Plot.
>>18353125>>18353166Right. Fire at the insertion point with reaction bombs! We can clear out the rubble quickly this way.
>>18353184>>18353189>>18353191These have got to be trolls, given how stupid this idea is.
>>18353184>>18353189We're NOT going to kill the rest of our troops unless it's already certain that we can't rescue them and that those creatures are going to wreak havoc on everything on the surface. We can *always* nuke stuff later as a last resort. Let's NOT kill off all the troops and heroes that we've been building up since Day 1.
Who asked for a fucking airstrike? Have the mechs pull away the rubble!
>>18353125HOLY SHIT. FINALLY.>>18353149>>18353145Using phasers, plasma, and brute strength, your forces begin to tunnel towards the antechamber. You manage to clear away about fifteen feet before the rubble in front of you suddenly explodes outward, revealing a battered and bruised Agrias. An unconscious Samus is slung across her back and she breathes heavily. A few White Mages are with her."There's a few more back that way," she says, gesturing. "I saved as many as I could, and the White Mages managed to save a few more once they were free of the rubble, but..." Agrias shakes her head. "It is not pretty, as they say..."
>>18353184..You do realize that Reaction warheads are goddamn nukes; right?OP, do NOT deploy Reaction warheads. This is a blatant attempt to contaminate the canon beyond all hope of repair. IF we've got Asgard teleporters on station, have them start coordinating with sensor-equipped units on the ground and teleporting the bulk of this rubble away safely so we can get at our dudes faster.
>>18353219Save Elainehave Elaine save everyone.CHERYL! massively 0vercl0ck Elaine's power!Hell, we might as well send Cheryl down to Elaine directly. The few seconds saved vs. teleporting Elaine and the corpses up might make the difference. With Cheryl boosting Elaine (assuming Elaine survived), Elaine can res everyone.Time is of the essence. Go now! Hurry!
If we get another hero requisition, we're getting a high level 3.5 or pathfinder cleric. Simply for ONE SPELL.http://www.d20srd.org/srd/spells/trueResurrection.htm>This spell functions like raise dead, except that you can resurrect a creature that has been dead for as long as 10 years per caster level. This spell can even bring back creatures whose bodies have been destroyed, provided that you unambiguously identify the deceased in some fashion (reciting the deceased’s time and place of birth or death is the most common method).
>>18353219UNIT, help Agrias get Samus up to the Extraction Zone to be beamed to the Storm's Medbay for healing. White Mages, take a breather, we'll need your magic again.Everyone else, continue in and nanny-bag everyone.Raise them if you can.Dr. Lazarus, we have incoming.
>>18353232>>18353231>>18353235That seems to work. I recall in Bootleg quest we used a Cleric of Desna for the rerolling. Rerolling might be handy.
>>18353219Get status report from Agrias. Should we teleport Samus out of there? Is Agrias well enough to assist in rescue efforts? Her geomancer abilities would be very helpful here.Have one drone team proceed VERY CAREFULLY forward and start scanning thoroughly for any life-signs or bodies. Try to get to Tosh first and free him from his rocky prison. Have Psions/Cheryl/Farseers help guide drone team to him, then resume reaching out for signs of other survivors. Also: GODAMMIT TANK. Requisitions should've let him rot in several pieces in storytiem instead of soulgemming and reconstituting.
>>18353245Actually, we hired the Shadowrun teams ourselves, so you only have Drowtales to blame.
>>18353245Oh, right. Geomancy.Better to keep Agrias on the ground.Should Evac anyone who's wounded but not dead, so our medbay can handle them.Save the White Mages for raising the dead.Thankfully Reraise should handle most of the heroes. The question then is how many of everyone else got dead.
>>18353219>>18353231>>18353235Also, see if any of the comm equipment is still working on our first away team. The Securitrons and SCP Troopers should be able to find all of our team that way.HK-50, take a dozen Securitrons and to take out any of those Bobble fucks that survived.ANON, can you raise Gondegal's comm-frequency?
>>18353260If we're going to keep Agrias down here, have Medic hit her up with a blast from the Medigun.
>>18353280To the ship's medbay with those wounded but not critical (Unless said people are white mages or geomancers).Medigun on those critical but not dead.White mages on those dead.Elaine on those super dead (with Cheryl helping)If Elaine is dead, White mage on Elaine.Does this seem like an acceptable plan?
>>18353219That was a terrible end. But it's not the end.Anyway OP, I've sent you a couple of things to look at for feedback, thanks.
>>18353219Check to see if any of the Abjurers survived. They may have been able to roll Nat 20s on their save or had time to teleport, dimension door, Meld into Stone or something.
>>18353219Your troops travel down the tunnel Agrias made to reach a small group of survivors, bringing them out into the light as a handful of SCP drill to where Tosh was."Tanks, mon," Tosh says as the SCP help him out from the small niche where he survived. "If'n I be killed like dat, I woulda haunted you for years."The clink of two gilded stones falling to the floor alerts you to Gondegal's presence as the ghostly paladin slides out from a hole in a breached ventiliation chamber."I was going to complain about how much trouble getting these two things were... but after hearing those explosions, I don't want to compare notes anymore. In any case, here are the gems," he says, floating down.
>>18353299"Thank you, Gondegal. We need you to assist us in our rescue efforts, however. Many of our troops are still missing, and your ability to go ethereal would help us immensely in locating them."Get an SCP Trooper to secure the Jewels, and get them beamed up to containment on the Storm.Everyone else continue with our rescue efforts.HK-50, take a dozen Securitrons and secure the Specimen Storage lab. If you see those Bobble fuckers, kill them.
>>18353299Get everyone else one, heals and rezzing as needed. Make sure we have THREE STONES before we leave. THREE. This is important.Red. Green, Blue. We cannot let sacrifices be in vain... And I'm sure we're close to wearing out our welcome. Get our dudes, get our objective, and get the hell out of here. Also, i agree with >>18353328. Gondegal can help us find the ones we might otherwise miss. We're gonna have to do something really good for him when we get a chance. He's been the star of this canon's repair efforts so far. Also, no Shadowrunner trolls. Never Again.
>>18353348Now hey, not all Shadowrun trolls are bad. I've played a couple myself.
rolled 88, 62, 89 = 239Someone in the steam group chat said you needed trolls. So, um, Hurr butts or something. Also I'm rolling for no reason.
>>18353348I agree Gondegal has been incredible in this realm. If he wants to complain, go ahead. He's more than earned the right.
Right. Let's save as much as we can then gtfo. What's Samus' role in the canon from this point?Do we drop her off at Light?
>>18353260After reconstruction, magic, and all the life-saving operations you can muster, the casualties from the cave in amount to the entirety of the Shadowrun team, an Abjurer, and an Auror. Your various preparations along with Agrias' Geomancy helped turn a possible total wipe to just heavy casualties.Your troops manage to dig out the M.I. after a short search. Marauder armor needs more than a cave-in to breach.>>18353294I know, lately I've been really pressed for time. You'll have your replies as soon as I can free up enough time to review them in depth.
>>18353402If Gondegal gets a levelup now I'm suggesting we take "SPIRIT GUIDE - Can guide spirits and souls, either for guiding souls of dead people back to their bodies, or allowing the tortured to find rest."No idea on the second talent.>>18353428So, that's 2 WHMs lost to the Sun, 1 Abjurer lost to the Cavein, 1 Auror to the Sun and 1 to the Cavein, 2 Delta Greens lost to the Yeti, 2 Drones lost to Samus' beam, and 1 Shadowrun team lost to Trollery.Ultimately that's not too bad, but we're really gonna miss those Whms and Aurors and Abjurer.
>>18353428We had 2 Shadowrunner teams though. Did we lose both of them, or just completely lose 1?And 2 Aurors is a heavy blow. Can we get confirmation that we were able to recover the weapons from the Weapons Lab, all 3 Jewels, and the scientists who were holed up in the Bio Labs?
>>18353428Did we teleport out the scientists like we offered at the end of last thread? Also, if we have the chance, we should probably find a working computer and hack it. Might as well hack them since we blew up a good chunk of their building.
>>18353454We can always Ask our Aurors where they came from, and see if we can find their homeworld in our database.Sure, Requisitions might have been nuked. But they can't have nuked ALL of our recruiting outposts. And unless people are going to start shooting down Editor ships for visiting Transpace recruitment offices, we could do that.A trip to Hogwarts, Ivalice, and D&D might be handy.Of course MetaOp might just say "Lol no thanks, stay in the sector or Meta-sinistar eatz yuo". But it's worth thinking about.
What about Spike, he get out fine?
>>18353428Hey, OP. What about those scientists and guards and stuff from earlier? Are *they* alive? If so, try and see about recruiting whoever's left. If there's any magic/medkits/whatever left offer heals and such; plus less... hazardous... work environments.
>>18353483We know where they came from (Harry Potter Canon, Final Fantasy Tactics Canon), but we don't have their Meta-Coordinates until we finish our Ruby Slippers/No-Place-Like-Home Device.
Not currently relevant, and I haven't read the planning threads, but has anyone linked all those nukes we gave to Holtz to sell to the ones used on Requisitions yet?
>>18353428Collect the bodies of the dead and their names. See if Elaine can raise any of the more intact troopers with her greater raising abilities; have Gondegal or Cheryl or any other light-attuned people attempt to boost Elaine's power, if those assisting Elaine are well enough to do so.
>>18353428Gather up all evidence of our presence.See if Cheryl and turbo-charge Elaine's Raise 2 and her special ability. It might work, and it's at least worth a shot.
>>18353454You just lost one of the two teams.>>18353328The lab entrance is blocked by rubble. Do you want to order it excavated?Samus blinks her eyes, squinting at Gondegal."Lately there's been rumors of ancient Hylian knights returning from the grave to cause havoc in the corporations..." she murmurs. "Never thought it was true..."
>>18353529I say excavate it. Maybe we can find computers and stuff there too.Anyone with weapons, be ready for anything please.Prepare for rapid emergency transport if things get too hot. We can't take another round of that insanity right now.
>>18353529First, check behind the rubble with an exographic scanner so we don't get surprised. Now, is this the Specimen Storage Lab, or the Bio Lab?If Bio Lab, excavate. If Specimen Storage, have the Delta Greens kill all of the monsters in there via micro-transporter rifles, then secure it with the Securitrons going in first.
>>18353529>The lab entrance is blocked by rubble. Do you want to order it excavated? We might as well. However, if you see the Yellow Devil, then get the FUCK out and never come back.>>18353529Samus. Have you heard any tales of Rebellion or Terrorism or plots against the corporations?
We should have drones handle the excavations so if there are more foes we don't lose someone permanantly.Other rescue groups should be close by, but not withing direct line of sight, so they can save anyone inside or run away depending on what we unearth.
>>18353529>>18353556"Looks like your reputation precedes you, Gondegal, and that you've made quite an impression on the evil-doers of this world."
rolled 67 = 67>>18353485Spike is fine.>>18353483Asking some of your crew about recruitment may or may not produce results depending.I was assuming you at the least transported the lab scientists out. It was unclean if you imprisoned them or just took them topside. If you offer them work, let's see if they take it.
>>18353501By nukes we gave to Holtz, I mean the ones we looted from Falloutworld.
So, after this is done, we want to:A. See other sectors about trading our servicesB. Hit up Requisitions' assets in place in other canons (Farming worlds, Recruitment worlds, Looter teams) and see if any of them have stuff.C. GET DAT FUKKEN CORE TICKLE STACK
>>18353585Speaking of Holtz, I found what would be a real-life picture of him. He just needs more booze.
>>18353574Our offer:They and their dependents will get beamed to the Storm and the All Under Heaven, and they will work with our current science staff. We offer good pay, and fairly good medical benefits. We can drop their dependents off on one of the TG's off-world colonies, someplace safe.Even resurrection is covered in the medical package. If they refuse, we just erase their memory of this incident and beam them back down.
>>18353574Ask the Corp squad and the Scientists if they want work.We can offer them more safety than they'd find in this world, and secure food/shelter for their families.>>18353574We may as well ask, then. Our crew knows damn well that anyone they send to us is being sent into the Meatiest of Grinders, but if they believe strongly in saving the meta, they might be interested. For example, the Delta Greens, the Final Fantasy dudes, and the Star Trek Federation are very much about saving the Meta. However, the Aurors or Farseers may well tell us muggles to go fuck ourselves.
>>18353574TEN scientists are fed up and agree to jump ship to work for you.>>18353573"Then I know I am doing my work correctly," Gondegal says with a small smile.>>18353563"A few... yes..." Samus warily says.Your Securitrons begin blasting at the caved-in debris, slowly clearing a path until the lab is breached. Immediately a giant fist of yellow glop slams through the last later of rubble to engulf the lead Securitron. Muffled cries of "HALT, CRIMINAL SCUM!" issue from the robot before it vanishes completely.
>>18353659Samus. Please charge shot the core. I have a hunch you can kill it pretty easily.
>>18353670I agree with this, but ask the Farseers first if it'll still work.>>18353659"Samus, what we're saying is ... you're not alone.I don't know - and can't know - what path you'll make for yourself in life. But there'll be people there to support you, whichever path you take.Take a day or a week or so to clear your head. You need it. Decide what you're going to do afterwards, and go for it."
>>18353659Oh goddammit! We were supposed to look through the rubble with exographic scanners to see if this fucker was still around or not!Fuck!Securitrons and HK-50, use lasers and blasters to keep the Yellow Devil at bay while Aurors hit it with Glacius spells.Elaine, Medic, see if you can get Samus back on her feet."Miss Aran, if you could bring your suit back up. Your suit is one of the few things known to be able to destroy this damn thing."We're now putting a reward of ten thousand credits in jewels on that thing. Consider if your first bounty."
>>18353687Relax. we were sending in Securitrons ahead. The rest of us are safely back away JUST IN CASE shit like this happens. We have a plan, our plan is "Just walk away and leave it alone."Or, as Codeki put it, let the Canon native that kills the Yellow Devil ... kill the Yellow Devil.
1) Get Samus in her suit ASAP2) Send Samus alone against the Bio-Devil for canon reasons3) Keep watching in case shee needs to be bailed out
>>18353687Negative on the whole bounty thing, Samus hasn't even decided to be a bounty hunter yet. That'd just be weird to say something like that to a non-bounty hunter.
Elaine and the Medic begin to heal Samus as another Securitron is glorped by the Yellow Devil. Antagonized by the rockets and lasers, it begins to ooze out of the Secure Specimen Lab, morphing itself to fit through the hole blasted by the robots.Everyone but HK-50 and the Securitrons are far removed from the fight, but hear the weapons fire from the antechamber. Are you fighting or fleeing?
>>18353828Flee. Pick up the Securitrons and HK-50 and go away. This is Samus' fight. Ask the Farseers if she'd win, and perhaps have them Guide her. Perhaps get the white mages and the Abjurers to buff her. But this is Her fight to handle and we can leave it to Her.
>>18353828We got what we came for, didn't we. Lets make a fighting retreat and let MetPharm deal with the Yellow Devil. We can always come back for another round later if we need to
>>18353828Troops are to begin pulling back towards the extraction zone.Once Samus is ready, see if she can summon her suit. If she can, hit her up with some buffs (Wall, Haste), and send her on her way.We can't fight her battles for her.HK-50 to have a fighting retreat with the Securitrons covering.I'm still saying we should offer Samus the bounty, in order to lock her into the bounty hunter path that she started to consider when Spike talked her down, and to ensure that she goes to work for Light.
Guys, I just realised something. Here we are with Samus. We're on /tg/.We're discussing her future employment opportunities. We're not discussing how to get in her pants. When did we evolve from waifufags to father figures?
>>18353882Because we're command crew. It's Spike who wants to get into her pants. We're protecting her from him. Also, I suggest we offer her a bounty on it, but only if she wants it.
>>18353882Never, really. We sort of fluctuate back and forth.I think the White Knight is coming out in this instance because of Other M; poor girl has suffered enough without our help.
Samus is currently too weak to summon her suit as the rest of your forces perform an orderly retreat back to the ships. She groans as you mention the Yellow Devil. "I already killed ONE of them today... you mean they had another?">>18353882Questers, I am proud.
Everyone flee. If we get it in an area with teleporter capability, we can steal the core right out of it.
>>18353964>"I already killed ONE of them today... you mean they had another?"Well, fuck that shit then."HK-50, perform an orderly retreat with the Securitrons back to the extraction zone."Get everyone up and out of there. We'll drop off Samus with Light once she's recovered.
>>18353964Gondegal, was there anything else in the containment labs that WASN'T moving, but looked like it could be picked up?Aurors, scry them labs.I'm thinking that we already looted damn near everything, and that fighting the final boss is someone else's problem now.Right, now how do we reach Grimm? We can mikasa-drill to him, but that'll piss off the entire space fleet. We could do the dungeon crawl, but oh lawdy horrendous casualties, and we won't be able to use mech support.Wait. I have a plan. The Corps. Robotnik and Metpharm, at the very least, are known to have spaceships. Privately owned spaceships are not completely out of the question. What would it take to make our Mikasa drilling operation seem like a legitimate corp operation? If we do that, then we won't have to do any space fights at all.
>>18354003For instance, we'd need to know:What rights you'd require to Drill a hole into the earth's crust 100 meters wide. What rights you'd require to fly a spaceship close enough to dig that hole. What you'd need to do to set up a Front corporation that could receive those rights.Alternatively, we could pose as an existing Corp ship. We'd need to find a Corp with a history of drilling or mining or excavation. If they don't already have rights to use spaceships in operations, we'd need to get them those rights. We then need to either bullshit/hack our way into the Corp database and register our Mikasa as being a legitimate corp asset, orjack enough of their existing assets to allow us to disguise the Mikasa as an asset, orUse diplomacy with the Corp, convince them to treat the Mikasa as one of their assets and keep the feds off our ass while we drill shit for them. While there's holes in this plan, the alternative is to take on the entire space fleet, and I don't think that's a good idea.
You manage to pull all your forces out without incident, dropping Samus off topside so she can make her way back to Dr. Light. If someone wants to remind me what forces you committed to help Dr. Light's assault, we can deal with that now.
>>18354003>>18354050We can bring the Mikasa in, under the protection of the RVF-25's ECM field, on the exact opposite side of the planet from the City. That should lower chances of detection.According to Mouse, the datanets used by 8-bit Dystopia are utter shit, so he and his Sandmen should be able to make the necessary paperwork appear, as long as they get access to the datanet.
>>18354131So plan: Paperwork and Drill?>>183541265 Banned Blades and 20 Security TRONs.
>>18354126The initial plan called for 20 Securitrons and I think 5 Baneblades. We may send other reinforcements as necessary, also if it looks like we get another chance to erase those upgrade schematics.
Exactly what forces does/did the GDF have?Weighing in our options here.Loot GDF vs. Paperwork.Looting the GDF might be tricky since I don't know what it'd take to fly an R-type, we lack specialised pilots.
>>18354192But if we Loot the GDF's R-types and Gradius ships, we can then baffle the rest with paperwork, and commence drilling.I figure the drilling is the best method, since it lets our orbital fire have a clear shot at Grimm, and also lets us bring in mechs and fighter ships. But for now: LIGHT ASSAULT!Which is actually quite the Heavy assault.
Sorry guys, I did not notice the time when I said I'd deal with the Light assault. I gotta turn in, but I'll be back tomorrow at the same time. If this thread is still up, I'll pick it up.Hope everyone had fun, and let's hope we don't have rolls like that tomorrow! On the bright side, now you know what the MegaCrash Launcher can do.
rolled 7, 28, 65, 81, 68, 40, 66, 87 = 442>>18354246I WILL EAT UP ALL THE BAD ROLLS NOW
>>18354246>now you know what the MegaCrash Launcher can do.Kill our squad when a troll tells you to fire it indoors?
>>18354246See you tomorrow night, MetaOP.Okay, we've got the beginnings of a plan on how to get to Grimm; but how do we defeat him there, especially since it seems that he has some Heroes as hostages?
>>18354287I do not know.
>>18354287I think we should send the AUH back to Holtz to ask Holtz if he has any idea or information about Grimm.
>>18354279...technically, yes.
>>18354346MetaOP.Give info.
>>18354324I don't think we should split up the Task Force. There's also the problem of inconsistency when it comes to Meta Transit. It SOUNDS like it's instantaneous to get from one place to another, other times it sounds like it takes a couple days.We ARE on a time limit here.
>>18357041Technically we have a month ever since we reburied the Temple of Time.
>>18358408Not if we want to get paid for this. We're still on a time limit for requisitions.
>>18358587This is true. We need to return to Sector HQ within a week, is what Holtz told us when we left, because at the end of the week is when Requisitions is going to go into lockdown for the duration of the TG Civil War.
Hey guys, the White Mages and Abjurers hit by the Bubbles; they didn't die when they were mutated, and they weren't eaten by the Bobbles. Were we able to recover them? We might be able to cure them using a transporter trace and the Indefatigable's transporter array, or by using the medical nanites and Dr. Lazarus' expertise.Or if they did die in the building collapse, were we able to revive them?Something that we'll need MetaOP to answer.
GOGOGOGOGOGOMETA QUESTEN
So, plan:Steal the Gradiuses and R-types in the GDF. If we can use them, do so. If not, just shove them in the Hangar to learn how to use later.Acquire permits to let the Mikasa drill without anyone interfering with us.Drill to Grimm, somehow defeat him using massive firepower.Get in contact with other sectors, offer to sell our Manufacturing/Research expertise in exchange for stuff.Get in contact with Requisitions' leftover bases (on farming / recruiting worlds), see if we can convince anyone to help us.See if we can acquire a Looter team.Pray that nobody pulls the Fuck-the-meta lever.
If we can manage to get one last squad from requisitions, we should get some Blood Ravens.
>>18360745If they got hit with a bubble, you can assume they're dead.Your 20 Securitrons and 5 Baneblades are prepared and ready. Where are you going to deploy them in support of Dr. Light's assault? After a quick talk with Light, you learn that Mega Man has been activated and is closing in on a WilyCorp powerplant to attempt to shut off their power supply. The bulk of Dr. Light's resistance forces have scattered to strike at key points across the city. You can attempt to support an incursion into MetPharm, Robodyne, or WilyCorp territory, or simply strike with your own forces at a target of your choosing to add to the chaos and hopefully tie up more of the enemy forces.
>>18361455Hang on, someone had better suggestions in the "wat get" list, and it was pretty much all Equipment that was much more valuable than any squad. And if we're getting anything, it'll be those Clerics of Desna for rerolling and ressing.
>>18361445No to stealing the GDF ships. That's unnecessary. The drill idea still needs to be gone over; we need a plan on what we're going to do to Grimm first.Holtz would be the one taking care of manufacturing, and considering our need as the Sector Task Force to continue fixing this mess of a sector, we won't be in much of a position to be doing the manufacturing for anyone.Holtz will be dealing with that using the Branch Offices and their manufacturing capacity.
>>18361466Wilycorp. We need to prevent SuperHeatMan and SuperAirMan from raping everything.
>>18361466Send the Baneblades and Securitrons to WilyCorp. We still need to destroy Airman and Heatman, and destroy the upgraded minion bots.Maybe Megaman can take them out for us, if we provide the support.

Are you going to deploy your forces in support of the resistance team or deploy them separately? And if separately, do you have a specific target?
>>18361724Support the resistance.Who's the local resistance leader/commander? We probably want to set up a dummy relay / comms system in some abandoned house in the slums, bounce messages off there, and stay in touch with the local resistance leader.
>>18361724I thought we were clear. We are deploying our initial load of 5 Baneblades and 20 Securitrons in support of Megaman as he assaults WilyCorp. We wait for him to bring down the power generator, in preparation of sending in another assault team to wipe the Iron Men upgrade schematics and destroying intact upgraded robots.
>>18361740No, we can't be sending our troops around just to help out Light's Resistance. We need to make sure that Heat Man and Air Man are destroyed along with their upgraded minions. That is one of the requirements of mission completion.
In any case, I must sleep.Try not to get us killed while I'm gone.
>>18361753Megaman is currently inside a powerplant complex. You can deploy Securitrons to help him, but not any vehicles or Baneblades.>>18361740Bill "Mad Dog" Rizer, and Lance "Scorpion" Bean head up the resistance forces attacking WilyCorp holdings. They are leading from the front, laying down blistering volleys of gunfire as they advance.
>>18361841Where are we likely to find Fire Mans or Air Mans? It's best to let Mega Man work alone. If he's in a Power plant he's probably fighting Elec man, which is perfectly fine (even if Elec man is a bit of a cunt that kills you in 3 hits).
>>18361841Alright. Deploy Securitrons to Megaman's position. Have Light tell him that reinforcements are enroute, so he doesn't accidentally shoot our robots.Have the Baneblades beam down (using the Asgard transporters on an Al'Kesh) to assist the Resistance forces attacking WilyCorp holdings. Coordinate with local leaders so our TANKS get the most use.Have the Al'Kesh maintain transporter locks on the Baneblades and their crews, to beam them out if they get too damaged.
>>18361868Heat Man was last seen in Wily Towers. It's not known where Air Man is currently stationed.Which is something I think needs to be rectified."Mouse! Is that network tap into WilyCorp's datanet still up? Can you find the tactical command node and find where Heat Man and Air Man have been deployed?"
rolled 25 = 25>>18361996"Sure thing, boss! Give me a minute!"
rolled 75, 63 = 138>>18362053"Did I say one minute? Uh... I meant... Hang on... What the... They shouldn't be able to... yow! It'll take more than that you little sonuva..."
>>18362075"Jesus that was close! Right then, activated some nasty ice, but I shook it off. Air Man is being deployed to counter the insurgents and Heat Man is guarding the entrance to WilyCorp HQ for the time being."
>>18362089"Thanks Mouse. Good work."Change of deployment plans!Securitrons and Baneblades to both be routed to the Resistance.Prepare another 20 Securitrons to be beamed to WilyCorp HQ once Megaman indicates that he is ready to assault Heat Man. Inform Light that we have secondary reinforcements ready for Megaman, and that a Robot Master is waiting for him at Wily HQ; we will send in our secondary reinforcements once Megaman engages Heat Man.Warn Mad Dog and Scorpion that their group is going to be targeted by a Robot Master, and that we're bringing in firepower to help them out.Keep a transporter lock on our Baneblades; we need to be able to beam them out if they become too heavily damaged.
>>18362089Right now, I think we should take out Air Man first. The chaos the insurgents bring should force Wily, Robotnik and MetPharm to deal with them first and when the insurgents hit a point where it looks like they might win, more and more will join them. I think its our job to help the insurgents reach that point. Once that point is reached, we will have minimal trouble from the three corporations.
I think we were pretty clear in our changed deployment plan. Is there anything you still need from us, MetaOP?
rolled 64 = 64>>18362129The immense warmachine at your command materialize onto the battlefield to the cheers of many resistance fighters."The Tanks! The Tanks are back!!!" one calls out, ignorant of both the true nature of the near mythical Tank as well as the behemoth Baneblade. The STC supertanks begin grinding forward, explosions shattering the sky as their main cannons fire again and again, blowing apart ranks of Sniper JOEs and their walker backup. Heavy bolters chatter to life on either side, sending streams of high caliber death to rip apart the enemy robots while they are down."HALT, CRIMINAL SCUM!!!" roar out your reprogrammed Securitrons as they roll forward, letting loose salvos of rockets from their shoulder-launchers.The Securitrons spread out along the flanks, protecting the more fragile infantry that comprise the core of the resistance as the Baneblades rumble forward, taking point.
>>18362485ANON, have the Storm's sensors scan the area and try to pinpoint Air Man's reality distortion signature. We know he's supposed to be inbound.Oh, if only Gaunt had survived till now. He could have been standing in the cupola of a Baneblade, with a powersword demanding that he be taken closer so that he could strike the hereteks with his sword.
rolled 72 = 72>>18362485Mechanical dragons, robots that stand twenty feet tall, huge tanks with what looks like the upper torso of Gutsman welded to them, the Baneblades power through them all, their thick armor and heavy weapons proof against the worst Dr. Wily can offer. Several Securitrons go down as Sniper Joes and attendant human infantry attempt to flank the resistance, but most of the robot's self-repair systems are proof against this assault. Mad Dog and Scorpion easily wipe out the human collaborators while the resistance and Securitrons gun down the rest. The column continues on.Suddenly, the Oncoming Storm detects a large number of flying objects moving towards the Resistance forces at high speeds. Enemy air assets have scrambled in response to the failure of the ground forces to deal with the threat.
>>18361445If we steal the R-Types we could force the pilot to come with us. This also makes it easier for us to bring the wave cannon into Grimm's face.
>>18362584Damn, enemy air might actually do damage to our Baneblades. We can't send in our own fighters. Can we use TG Soldiers and our second Al'Kesh for anti-air?Beam them to a rooftop, they fire off anti-air rockets, they beam out and beam down to a different rooftop. Beam, fire, beam, fire, beam, beam.
>>18362584Send in Crowe with the Brasta. Load him up with extra pistol mags and the sniper-rifle barrel attachment. Have two VF-25's act as his wingmen. Preferably a squad leader and his #2.

>>18362644>>18362659If we deploy fighters, where are they coming from? How do we get them there from where they were training at Jupiter? How do they get to the area without being detected by every sensor in the City?
>>18362678AFAIK, the Hyaku and Brasta are still with us in the main group, so we can probably beam them down I think? So much for the VF-25's, but it's okay.
>>18362695Equip the Hyaku Shiki with the clay bazooka + mags, and a beam rifle + magsWe'll need it for Airman.
>>18362584>>Did we make sure not to leave any tech bechind when we pulled out of metpharm? I'd hate for the natives to get mass rifles. Also, send in mech support since we don't have available fighters.
>>18362695>>18362727>>18362730Hold it!Don't forget that we are still the Transpace Guard and we're here to prevent Meta-Contamination.We can get away with it if we kill or Obliviate witnesses, but deploying too many mechs will cause Meta-Contamination issues amongst the Resistance members.
>>18362747Not really. What only matters is heavy canon contamination, otherwise, the canon repairs itself naturally.
>>18362747Robotnik has mechs. Nobody will notice if we deploy some.
>>18362747>>18362761>>18362766ANON, run a distortion probability analysis:Given our current exposure to the Resistance members, will deploying our mech forces cause high levels of Meta-Contamination, or will the levels be low enough for natural self-repair to take care of it?
rolled 58 = 58You manage to deploy the Brasta and Hyaku Shiki just in time as a squadron of jet-drones soars towards your forces alongside two squadrons of robotic helicopters. You have less than a minute to react as weapons systems begin locking on target...
>>18362831ANON: "No permanent harm should be done."
>>18362855Alright, that's not too bad.Make sure that we can beam Baneblades damaged too badly back up to the Storm or to the All Under Heaven.
>>18362855Have the tanks disperse and have them and the mechs go AA-fire. The Brasta can go air-to-air, so have it up in the sky.
If we can do any more telportation without lowering the chance of removing protection from our troops, can we use any spare capacity to snag the heads of any "recently dead" humans.
We can also use spare teleporter capacity to sabotage the enemy air units, the teleporter interdiction shouldn't cover the sky.It might also be a good idea to sabotage the facility launching these aircraft in a stealthy way, no big explosions if we can help it.Maybe we should deploy some troops with AA equiptment to rooftops, possibly telehopping or using cloaking to move between positions to doge enemy fire. We can replicate some anti air stuff if we don't have it on hand, maybe lasers or phasers so the aircraft cant dodge?
rolled 24 = 24>>18362963The tanks attempt to disperse, making it a bit more difficult for the incoming air force to hit the armored behemoths. Unfortunately, the sheer size and slow speed of a Baneblade is not enough to make up for this. The enemy jets unleash a salvo of missiles even as several of their number explode mid-flight thanks to beam rifle shots from the Hyaku and the Brasta. More missiles are added to the fray as the helicopters open up as well. The enemy missiles strike the Baneblades, causing armor plating to go flying as the tanks suffer moderate damage from repeated missile detonations. The Brasta and the Hyaku Shiki escape mostly unscathed, the mobile mechs using the towering spires of The City to their advantage, but a handful deal minor damage to them as well.
>>18363130Hercules, create a Behemoth, with a Nano-Repair Module, Soulchip, Recycler unit, and a Deflector Shield. Teleport it from the Hercules and down to the battlezone. Have it begin disassembling battle debris and providing onsite repairs to our forces. The deflector shield should shrug off most enemy fire. And if it dies, well, it can't die because the pilot's already dead.
>>18363130Have the Hyaku and Brasts concentrate on the aircraft. Have our ships teleport out chunks of the helicopters' center shafts and mast.
rolled 90 = 90>>18363185>>18363193The Hercules begins construction as the Hyaku and Brasta continue to duel with the jets and choppers. Skilled as Char is, the Hyaku is at a disadvantage on the ground rather than in space, and suffers light damage as a few more missiles slam into its armor. The Brasta fares better, taking out a few more jets while evading the return fire. However, one of the Baneblades finally goes up from the continued pounding the supertanks are received. The others press on, gigantic treads rolling over the scattered debris of their fellow machine.
>>18363251Beam out that Baneblade, and get its crew to the Medbay on the Storm. Maybe Doc Lazarus can reboot their brains.Hercules, begin construction of Phoenix attack helicopters.Loadout: 2 Scalpel Machine Guns, 1 Soulchip Interface, 1 Deflector Shield.Get the necessary materials by sending a Scarab down to the Moon's surface by having an Al'Kesh do a site-to-site transport, and have it begin collecting the resources needed to fuel the construction. As each Phoenix is completed, have it teleported to the battlezone to support our troops.
>>18363251Run scans to check for any escaped/surviving Baneblade crews.
rolled 33 = 33>>18363294You beam out the wreckage to your cargohold and immediately begin going through it for brains.>>18363251The enemy aircraft are moving too fast for you to get a teleporter lock on them. However, the point is moot. Though both your tanks and mechs receive a few more missiles against their armor, Char and Brasta manage to mop up the remaining air squadron with a dazzling display of rapid, but accurate shooting. Drone after drone explodes as its ammunition and fuel stores are ignited by energy beams pulsing through them. The sky rains debris and fire as your tanks push on.However, even this triumph does not last long."Sir, I've intercepted a classified WilyCorp signal," Mouse reports. "Air Man is less than three minutes away from intercepting your column!"
>>18363462"Hercules, we still need that Behemoth on the ground."Inform the Resistance force leader of the imminent approach of Air Man."Char, Crowe, contact with Air Man in three minutes. He is going to be an extremely fast, human-size target. Find things to clog up his air intakes, like that lime-launcher you've got Char."Al'Kesh crew, I want you read to beam a 2 cubic meter volume of beach sand from the coast, and put it in your cargo holds. Once Air Man arrives, and someone is able to keep him stopped for a bit, beam all of that sand onto him. Let's see how his fans take a cubic volume of sand.
>>18363462Tell Char to prepare the Clay Bazooka and Birdlime launchers. Tell Crowe to prepare the net launchers and sniper rifle. Plan is for Crowe to snipe Airman from maximum distance and hide. The idea is for the Brasta to pin down Airman with that mech-sized net launcher rounds, then the Hyaku Shiki clogs and smothers Airman something fierce with the birdlime launchers and clay bazooka rounds.
>>18363462>>18363512Can one of our ships provide extra targeting solutions to the Brasta for the sniper shots? If so, let's begin the relay.
>>18363462If he's on the ground, teleport a large amount of mud and sand from the bottom of the nearest ocean onto him. It should clog up his fan or turbine to to point where he'd be screwed.
>>18363462...Air Man Ga Taosenai?
Waiting for OP.
Hopefully, Wily didn't fix that problem with his fan being easily clogged, otherwise, we may have to teleport slice him, fill his fan with baneblade ammo. . .
>>18363811He didn't fix Metal Man being critically weak against his own weapon, so pretty sure we're good.
God damn it guys, Air man has kidnapped OP.We have Farseers. They can, to at least a certain degree, influence actions to Doom a target, such as Air Man. We should do that.
>>18363462>>18363923Have the Farseers use Doom on Air Man.
>Air ManThe robot masters have been improved with partial tech from the Men of Iron. We have 19 baneblade tanks. We're going to give that thing a baneblade enema.
Well, we have a Hyaku Shiki, a Brasta, a lot of Baneblades. We're ready to telefrag Air man with mud.Do the obvious thing - repeatedly telefrag a tree to get a whole pile of leaves. Combine these with the mud.ANON - which canon natives are slated to Die in the attack on Wily Corporation? If there's anyone who's meant to die here, we should have them go up against Air Man first.
>>18364006I... I'm pretty sure Wood Man's weapon isn't normal leaves.Although it would be hilarious if that proves effective.
Should we let Megaman look at the corpses of Metal Man and Air Man?It might be necessary for Megaman to learn their weapons.
>>18364006Bill and Lance aren't supposed to die.
>>18363923>>18363809I dunno if it was something I ate or more likely something I drank, but St. Pat's Day is showing a mean side to me. I've been trying to fight past it to update for a good forty minutes now.>>18364006ANON: "Unknown."Your remaining Baneblades continue to advance as the Behemoth is finally completed and shimmers into existence nearby, immediately going to work on repair one of the massive tanks. However, there is a burst of movement from a nearby building as a tornado erupts from the blown out windows of a nearby store, actually managing to flip over one of the Baneblade tanks!

Hey guys, Just letting you know that we have a steam group for throwing ideas around, feel free to come and chat with us about metaquest stuff and help us think up ways to not get ourselves killed.http://steamcommunity.com/groups/metaquest
I would like to yell the following at Air Man:"HOW DOES IT FEEL TO ONLY HAVE THE POWER TO PUSH PEOPLE AWAY?"
>flip over a multi-ton tankHoly shit that's a powerful fan. I dunno if sand is gonna do anything to him, but if we can get some acid or something on him it might help.
rolled 79, 49 = 128Your forces attempt to follow your orders, but are foiled by the fact that Air Man is not in sight. However, after another mega-tornado flips another Baneblade, the remaining tanks open fire on the building itself, leveling it and forcing Air Man into the open. The two flipped Baneblades are teleported back, leaving you with two in the field.Your attempt to teleport goop into Airman's fans fail as your cannot get a lock on the agile robot. Crowe and Char fire their net and birdlime respectively...
>>18364356Well, teleport down 2 baneblades that are flipped upright.
>>18364300Nice one. How about this."HOW DOES IT FEEL TO ALWAYS SUCK AND BLOW AT THE SAME TIME."
>>18364356When Airman gets hit, fire the Clay Bazooka right at him, or the fan. Hopefully the splash is big enough to cover more than just the fan but the whole torso, or all of him.At the same time, if Airman gets hit, do another teleport of gunk into Airman.
And on that cliffhanger, we're done for the night. See everyone on Monday at 8! Sorry today was kind of a meh session.
>>18364404Alright, see you Monday night. Feel better, MetaOP!
