    377 KB Fuck yeah GM's Day! hets 03/04/12(Sun)02:45 No.18198211
March 4th is GM's Day. I have a proposal for you /tg/. On such a special day I'll be uploading any .pdf that I've got to interested people who would like to try new systems other than their usual D&D/WoD/40k.

Did this exact same thing a year ago and it went great, hope we can repeat it in 2012!
Remember: The main idea of this thread isn't to try to get splatbook #135 for Pathfinder, but to try out new games that are lesser known or indie. If a name sounds interesting then just ask and I'll upload it for you. Take into consideration that my upload speed isn't that fast so even though it may take a while, I will deliver.

    >I don't know you anons, I don't know what you want
    >If you are looking for D&D 3rd party books I can tell you I don't have any
    >but what I do have are a very particular set of indie roleplaying games I have acquired over a very long time
    >games that make me a dream come true for people like you
    >If you continue to play your Pathfinder I will not judge you, I will not pursue you
    >but if you feel like playing Ninja Burger then I will look for it
    >I will upload it
    >and I will link you

Practice Makes Perfect looks like extra feats and combat-related stuff.

Bag Full of Guns: Red Heat is full of extra weapons, and says it's the second in the series. Don't have the first one.

Back To Basics seems to "present an alternate class system and a looser class structure for the Spycraft system".

World On Fire is a setting/faction book, or something. It has a "New Rules" section and a few story sections. Not entirely sure what's going on there.

    DRAGON PASS (1981) - http://www.mediafire.com/?elmqav6i73baaae

A remake of the White Bear & Red Moon game, based in the world of Glorantha. Basically a fantasy RPG/wargame. The awesome RPG firm of Chaosium was founded originally just so this game could be published!

    LONDON'S BURNING (1995) - http://www.mediafire.com/?t7eyvwcd7qupqsr

    LUFTWAFFE (1971) - http://www.mediafire.com/?s989s85n4uciqby

"The game of Aerial Combat over Germany 1943-45". A turn based hex and counter wargame covering the strategic air war over Germany in WWII. Turns are roughly 1 1/2 months, units are squadrons. Hex size is unspecified but the board covers the Western Front from Belgium to Poland/Hungary.

RISE AND DECLINE OF THE THIRD REICH (1974) - http://www.mediafire.com/?cr7rm7v9q6wrhir

“Rise and Decline of the Third Reich is a classic "grand strategy" wargame covering the European theater of WWII. The game is huge in scope. Players take on the roles of all of the major national powers and can simulate the entire war effort from 1939 until the end (often isn't until 1946). This game is a favorite of many because of an excellent balance between politics and military might, and it gives players a chance to try things that did not happen historically to see if they might have worked better (e.g., Germany invading Spain). This game is definitely not for the novice gamer. The rules are intricate, and there are many factors for players to deal with: resources, unit production, negotiation, and, of course, strategic warfare.”

    SQUAD LEADER (1977) - http://www.mediafire.com/?bkdfc5vrpx3r88y

AH's masterpiece, an excellent simulation of tactical-level warfare in WW2. This is the original boxed set but with updated/revised rules.

    STARSHIP TROOPERS (1976) - http://www.megaupload.com/?d=4ZUFT8H7
“One player takes the Terran side and deploys his MI (Mobile Infantry) units directly on the board, nearly always by the Initial Drop Procedure. The other player, as the Arachnid Player, uses an Alien Control Pad sheet to record the placement of his underground central Hive cell complex and the attached tunnels radiating outward. The 'third side' of the war is the Skinnys. In early scenarios they are fighting on the side of the Arachnids. In later scenarios, after successful negotiations with Earth, they switch over to the Terran side. They're only effective fighters within the confines of their small city terrain on the board (and not very effective at that). Scenarios range from Scenario I, which starts players off with a basic MI raid on a Skinny city (just like the book. "Flores died on the way up") to Scenario VII, The Battle of Klendathu: the final Terran assault on the Arachnid Homeworld.”

    THE ARAB-ISRAELI WARS (1977) - http://www.mediafire.com/?9zq06d6iu7qsjrr

The guys who brought you Traveller and Twilight:2000 also produced one of the best WW3 wargames ever. Divisional/brigade level, with full air forces, nuclear options, and so on. Classic Traveller is my favorite RPG, and GDW published six official wargames for it. Each is stand-alone and requires no actual knowledge of Traveller.

    MAYDAY (1978) - http://www.mediafire.com/?l6jvcsh9h9dkt6e

Game One - the first and very basic set of rules for ship-on-ship combat

    SNAPSHOT (1979) - http://www.mediafire.com/?ared54816e57wf3

Game Two - simulating boarding actions and skirmish battles on starships. Bascially a more detailed version of the Traveller combat rules

    AZHANTI HIGH LIGHTNING (1980) - http://www.mediafire.com/?hwbui7ok4zxyvzj

Game Three - simulating tactical combat on a huge starship

    FIFTH FRONTIER WAR (1981) - http://www.mediafire.com/?cru93rkh67x8kh2

Game Four - a basic hex-and-counter wargame set in the Spinward Marches, simulating a sector-wide invasion. Movement of units is generally pre-plotted and executed simultaneously, combat then occurring where necessary. Each turn is one week, each hex one parsec.

    INVASION EARTH (1981) - http://www.mediafire.com/?1xxfjw1ty68juwy

Game Five - a simulation of the Imperium's invasion of the Solomanni homeworld, one of the most significant events in CT history. Ever wanted to invade/defend Earth? Here you go!

    STRIKER (1981) - http://www.mediafire.com/?7fsoq9x6e9d0gr6

Game Six - the last, and most successful, of the Traveller wargames. Rules for running tactical-level sci-fi battles with 15mm.

    SPI pt1

All of SPI's games were designed to be learned and played in a few hours, as per Dunnigan's views on rules. None are more than twenty or so pages long, taken from the in-house Strategy&Tactics magazine. All their related systems are more or less compatible - i.e. if you've played one of the tactical AFV games, you can play them all; their Napoleonic/ACW games use the same rules, and so on.

    ALBION LAND OF FAERIE (1981) - http://www.mediafire.com/?7c784puaejya3x7

A quick cash-in on the D&D craze, with Trolls and Humans battling for a fantasy Celtic Britain. Great map!

    COBRA (1977) - http://www.mediafire.com/?5eodnd0vc7mz77o

Patton's breakout in Normandy at Divisional level

    DELTAVEE (1981) - http://www.mediafire.com/?5xqszq888phg8y9

Cashing in on Traveller this time, a sci-fi ship-to-ship combat simulation.

    FRIGATE (1974) - http://www.mediafire.com/?s6mkqg86zgl8kle

Hot ship-on-ship action in the Age of Sail.

    KAMPFPANZER (1973) - http://www.mediafire.com/?lm5tb2nzz9xx9wc

Tactical simulation of tank warfare in the 1937-40 period, covering campaigns like the Spanish Civil War and invasions of Poland and France.

    KHARKOV (1978) - http://www.mediafire.com/?bb2fhas1oa2nc7t

Divisional level simulation of the Soviet spring 1942 offensive.

    TITAN STRIKE (1979) - http://www.mediafire.com/?od5n4r0rr47om22

A tactical-level sci-fi simulation of a battle on the titular moon.

    WAR OF THE RING (1977) - http://www.mediafire.com/?ve57xcect6b2f9s

Inspired by the Bakshi animated film. “On a large map of Middle Earth, armies are mustering and heroes are readying to fight the shadow spreading out of Mordor. The game is played on two levels. Both sides (or three if someone wants to play Saruman) have great armies that battle in a typical wargame style while another game is going on at the same time with individual characters around the fate of the One Ring. In the Army game Sauron's forces are the more powerful but the free peoples get the edge in the Character game.”

DARK FUTURE (1988) was GW's jump-in on the Mad Max craze. It's very original-Rogue-Trader in flavour and an interesting read.

THE WARLOCK OF FIRETOP MOUNTAIN (1986), also published by GW, is the boardgame version of the classic Fighting Fantasy book. It is similar to Heroquest.

CRY HAVOC! (1981) is a skirmish-level Medieval wargame that was hugely popular in its day. It comes complete with a set of cardboard miniatures.

any chance someone could toss up the 3.5 splats? I had them all and my pc took a shit and died. Any help would be appreciated. The Complete series at the very least would get me set.
    >> Anonymous 03/04/12(Sun)18:58 No.18205646

I've got a bunch of 3.5 stuff, but I have no idea what a "splat" is.
    >> Anonymous 03/04/12(Sun)18:59 No.18205657
Ugh. If this thread is still around in a few hours, I might have some of those on my backup drive. I'd have to a) find it, and b) create an account somewhere to upload the files if I have them. Where's a good place, in case I do?
    >> Anonymous 03/04/12(Sun)19:06 No.18205733
Splat = splatbook. Basically the supplemental books.

    Thanks a ton either way.
