HELLO Adoring Fanbase, (Yes, I am joking)

It is I, Omega, your regular purveyor of MHRQuest. As it turns out, my schedule for today would allow me to run a regular installment of said Quest. However, since I did not say this is when I would next be running it (Hence SURPRISE), I felt behooved to make this post, to check if there are enough people about to make running a thread worthwhile.

If not, then, I guess I can answer any left over questions from the last thread.

Dan gathered his friends and materials, then made a totally bitching summoning circle, before summoning the spirits Dike, Horme, Veritas and Nerio, representing Justice, Adventure, Knowledge and Courage respectively. After much internal debate, he entered into pacts with Veritas and Nerio, and received some spectral bling, before getting a phone call from Alexander Ashwood to meet him at the museum later to INVESTIGATE ARTIFACTS.

It is now about 4 PM, and you are standing outside the general science building on campus, having just been rudely hung-up on by Ashwood, the prick. You have at least an hour before you have to leave, to make it to the History Museum before they lock the doors, so you've got some time to follow up on something. Or, you could get some stuff and head out now, and just peruse the museum until its time to help Ashwood.

    Nice-looking character sheet.

Can't think of much else to do at the moment besides futz around with our new magic tchotchkies, so let's just head over to the museum and loiter for a while. Hell, we're history majors. We ought to enjoy it for what it's worth.

You decide to just head back to your room, get your stuff, then head over to the museum. It's been a while since you had time to get down there, and Dad always asks what kind of exhibits they're doing when you talk to him. You can bum around for an hour or so, and they let you in free, after all.

You get back to your dorm and open up, finding Dave's girlfriend Cheryl doing some work at the coffee table, sitting on the floor to give the pour couch a break. Just glancing at the papers she's looking at makes your head swim. "Cheryl." You observe. She doesn't even look up, simply says "Daniel." Cheryl is weird like that, not using diminutives. You can hear a shower from Dave's end of the dorm, and make some quick assumptions. "You two heading out?" You ask. Now she looks up. "Yeah. We're going to catch a movie, then get some dinner." You nod, and go to open your door, but Cheryl asks you something. "Hey, that girl who came in earlier, new girlfriend?" "Roxane?" You pause for a second to consider things, including that you've actually only known Roxy for slightly more than 24 hours. "I guess you could say that." She smirks a little. "Uh-huh. You should bring her and come with us, some time. Have a little double date."
    >> Anonymous 02/21/12(Tue)16:31 No.18043663
I forget what Cheryl's major is, but I bet Roxy would still make her head spin.

"Yeah, sure. I think you would get along well with her. She's pretty rad. Anyway, I'm going to go be an awesome ninja wizard Indiana Jones tonight." you say, making sure to keep your tone light. "But, I remember the last time I went on a double date with you and Dave." She scowls at you a little. "Not my fault you brought a luddite disguised as a linguist." She's exaggerating but, well, that date wasn't going anywhere anyway. Luckily, you distracted her from that second part.

You open your door, and step into your room. "Hey, Daniel." She calls after you. "Yeah?" "I'd still watch yourself. I've heard it can be tough, y'know, dating a metahuman." 'You have no idea', you think, and close your door. After only a couple minutes, you are now equipped with ghostknife (tucked into the ritual kit satchel) and breastplate, worn under your shirt again.
    >> Omega !Q7t.srvWZ6 02/21/12(Tue)16:40 No.18043747

IIRC, it was something related to Engineering. But yes, talking with Roxy would probably push her to her intellectual limits.
    >> Anonymous 02/21/12(Tue)16:41 No.18043757
Huh, yeah, we can probably swap the old combat knife out for the ghost knife. I didn't think of that. Do we still have those invisible cords of burning blue-white magic around our wrist and upper arm? Let's try doing a few cool free-running shortcuts through campus if there are any obstacles between us and the museum. Parkour's fucking fun.
    >> Omega !Q7t.srvWZ6 02/21/12(Tue)16:45 No.18043796

    >we can probably swap the old combat knife out for the ghost knife.

Probably a bad idea. The combat knife is for ritual purposes. Like pricking your own finger, and some other functions. The Ghostknife is pretty near monomolecular, so trying to draw a little blood is going to end up with you missing a finger tip.

    >Do we still have those invisible cords of burning blue-white magic around our wrist and upper arm?

Yes, they persist. Presumably, they will persist as long as you remain subject to the pact.

OK well basically we position ourselfs with the not-Dresden guy behind us and the enemy in front.

then spin, throwing that aura illuminating orb at him. then run as fast as possible toward the enemy whilst charging psibolts in both hands. then slap eather side of the head with the psibolts and barrel into them knocking them out and over.

if the bolt slap dosent work then we will be on top of them and ready to attack. they will be blinded by not-Dresden's aura preventing them from defending.

    what do you think?

Can we touch them, or are they transparent to matter? Do they shine through our clothes? Do they shine through other solid objects, like a wall or if we hold our bag up in front of it?

You can touch them, but any other substance, like your clothes, doesn't seem to interact with them. If you loose line of sight, you can't see them even if the obstruction should allow light to pass through.

Thus prepared, you head on out, throwing a goodbye into the void, Cheryl apparently having gone off to help Dave pick something to wear because the extend of his fashion sense is buried somewhere in Early Modern, pre-nation Italy. The history museum, though off campus, is still in Campus Town district, because it is in part attached to the college, along with a couple of other museums. Normally, you'd complain about this since this means you can't take the monorail and have to leave the campus then walk.

But that is not this day. Today, you run!

You leave campus, find an alley, then scramble up a fire-escape, to make a roof-top. Making sure no one can see you (since you weren't a wizard yesterday), you stand on the roof, and reach deep, finding the power of air. It feels a lot easier to manage now, some how.

(2x9 on Evocation, adding 2 dice to your next Agility check)

"Tehecatl." You whisper, managing to remember the right word. The air tenses, and swirls around you, before settling into a light breeze which surrounds you on all sides, making your body feel much lighter. Oh, it is on now. You take a flying leap at the next rooftop.

    (2x2, 2x4 and 2x10 on Agility test)

You hit the next roof and keep going. You can barely tell you've jumped at all, you feel so very light. You can't help but give out a victorious whoop, as you go roof-top hopping, scaffold-climbing, and all manner of parkour shit before hopping to a fire escape, pivoting, and sliding down a drain pipe, to come to a halt just down the block from the museum.

You straighten your clothes out, they having been ruffled by the wind, and a handful of bystanders give some polite applause at the sight your stunts. You wave politely, and head on down to the museum. Normally, you'd think its weird that a Museum is open on Sunday, but they make allowance since Students and Faculty from the university sometimes only have the weekends free to visit.

You walk right on into the front lobby, filled with some wonderful flashy stuff up front to get you in the door, and wave to the security guards and the front desk as you pass, getting polite nods or tips of the hat in return. Most of the staff recognize you by sight, even with the blue sunglasses.

You decide to follow up on more modern history, and see what they have about the metahuman 'revolution' as they call it, when humanity first officially crossed that gap in the 40s. This type of thing (as part of a look at the 20th century as a whole) is really your area of expertise, but it never hurts to look. You even see they're displaying some WW2 and early post-war period League exhibits now, which might be interesting to look at.

You enter the exhibit area, and find a familiar display. Replica figures of the original six league members (When they were just an allied special task force) on one side, opposed by their Axis counterparts. Beyond them is the exhibit proper.

On the left hand side of the room, representing 'West', with a big mural behind them, with the Allied countries represented in blue stand the six League heroes.

At the center is The Captain, America's first supersoldier. He's wearing an army helmet, with winged stars painted on the side in blue, and what seems like an obnoxious blue-white-red outfit, like the kind early comic book characters wore. The only thing hiding his identity is a simple blue domino mask. The ridiculous is off-set a bit by the bulges in the outfit where you know he actually had 1/4 inch steel plates sown in. He has two pistols holstered at his belt, and has an M1 Carbine in his hand. The knuckles of his gloves are raised.

On his left, sharing the center spotlight is The Citizen, his Soviet Counterpart. Here, the Citizen is displayed wearing a USSR great-coat and uniform, with heavy gloves and the red-star ushanka. His fact is covered by a black ski mask. Except there are no holes, so it looks more like a big black sock. In his arms is a Russian Mosin Nagant rifle.

To Captain's right is Lady Ashwood, who stands in an RAF flying uniform, complete with jacket, flying cap, goggles, and dashing white scarf, which covers the lower half of her face. In her hand she holds a readied epee in a fighting stance, and around her neck hangs a webley revolver on a lanyard. You peer closer at her face, and can see a bit of a resemblance to Alexander.

To her right is Crocodile Sam. He's unmistakable, with his broad hat with a band filled with crocodile teeth, no shirt, just a vest. Around his neck is some kind of aboriginal charm bracelet. In his hand, he's clutching is large kuhkri knife, and he has a boomerang sheathed on his back, and an Enfield revolver in a hip-holster.

Going back around to Citizen's left is Mr. Science, who stands in a simple labcoat, wearing white gloves, leaning on his walking stick, which has a tiny mechanical owl perched on it. He is wearing his famous laser goggles.

To his left is PHANTASMO!, who stands making a flourish with his hands in his full tuxedo, complete with top-hat and monocle. He also has a golden pocket watch chain leading somewhere into his tuxedo jacket. In one hand he is waving a monogrammed handkerchief, and in the other he has his magic staff, which looks like a fine walking cane with the handle in the shape of a silver dragon head. But its a magic staff. You know this, because you've seen the archival footage of him making it spew flame.

You decide to check out the opposite side of the room.

The Axis side of the room has a mural identical to the first, except the Axis countries are highlighted in red on their map, and there are only five figures.

In the center stands Gespenst, the undisputed head of the Waffen-SS' Occult wing. It helped that he was an undead Revenant who rose from the dead powered by his own dark magics. Here he is depicted in his SS uniform, complete with long black coat, jackboots, officer's cap and dark leather gloves which hide the fact that his hands are skeletal. He lacks a face, instead just being a skull, missing its lower jawbone. The model-makers dis a great job of recreating the glowing blue lights which supposedly sat in his eye sockets. In his right hand is grasped a broom-handle Mauser, and in the other a long staff with a red-stained human skull siting on the top, and the shaft, which in reality was carved from the femur of a jotun, a giant.

To the right of Gespenst, fittingly, is Hilde Wolff, his right-hand woman. She is wearing a female version of the uniform, minus but her coat is open revealing a tightly tied bodice, that would probably be alluring if not for the handle of a dagger sticking up from the cleavage. In both her hands she holds a coiled whip with a silver handle. The body of the whip was supposedly crafted from the spine of a dragon that she and Gespenst dug up. The mannequin's face is split in a wolfish grin deliberately crafted to show off the dueling scar on her cheek. She has a luger holstered at her hip.

To Gespenst's left is the other Nazi contribution, known only as Sturm. Its kind of hard to tell what he looked like, since he's basically in an open straight jacket, with a grille kind of mask which almost completely covers his face made of brass. Copper wires to spark-plug like studs cover the outfit, all leading back to a heavy brass back-pack, with tiny Tesla coils coming off the corners. You know that Sturm was an early Nazi supersolider experiment in bio-electricity. The results were weak, but were enhanced by his suit.

On the far right of Gespenst is Kurosawa, aka The Black Rider. He is a towering, seven-foot tall monstrosity of jet-black Samurai armor, holding a katana-type sword that's about as long as you are tall. His face is completely obscured by his helmet, only two little red lights showing in the eye slits. The Black Rider is always fascinating, since he has existed in Japanese history for a long time, and is still seen today, and while he sided with Japanese Empire in WW2, he hasn't always been so 'heroic' for them. You remember seeing something about him on the news lately. Maybe you should check that.

On the far left is Sicarius, who technically worked for Italy, but was often seen with the Nazi supersoldiers. His body is covered in bandages, with a hooded coat or robe worn over it, which hides his face. Both are open at the chest to showcase his clockwork heart, though, a device supposedly based on da Vinci's designs which empowered him for several centuries. Large parts of his body were replaced with clockwork anachrotech cybernetics, including one of his arms, which also had a cool hidden blade mounted in it. He was a specialist in stealth and assassination.

He was re-killed a couple times. Didn't seem to stick. So the last time, Phantasmo banished his soul to a pocket dimension, and the League shattered his skull and scattered the pieces across the globe.

You whip out your phone, and go checking for the news article you saw before. First hit is from the city newspaper, the Liberty City Libertarian, entitled "Black Rider Spotted?". You decide to read.

    >The infamous Black Rider, Kurosawa, may have been seen in Japan last week, reports say. The villain known as the Black Rider has not had a confirmed sighting since just after the end of the Cyrean War. He was seen attacking the Atsuta Shrine in Japan's Aichi Prefecture. Atsuta is the commonly accepted location of the Kusanagi, one of the Three Imperial Treasures of Japan. Kurosawa fled the scene after three JSDF MRF Patrol Mechs arrived on scene. Officials report he did not manage to steal the tree Kusanagi, but witnesses report him fleeing the scene with a brown cloth bag, roughly sword sized. The Identity and motivation of the Black Rider are a mystery, as he has apparently existed for at least 1500 years. Reports on him and his abilities differ, some saying he is half-demon, others suggest he is a revenant, kept alive by some unholy power, and others say that there is not one, but many Black Riders, who each inherit the title and the armor.

You think about the Black Rider, and concentrate on Knowing. You think maybe you should make up some kind of word or gesture to go with this action, but you're in a public museum right now, so probably not the best time.

    (No matches on Knowledge)

At first, you think nothing's happened. Then you focus again a little, and get a similar result. You realize that instead of cosmic revelations, or similar, you haven't learned anything new, you simply have all the same information you started with. Maybe you've got bad reception, or something?

You summarize what you know, to yourself. Black Rider's been around a long time, appears and disappears at random intervals, usually involving himself in Japanese politics in some way. And by involving, you mean he rides into battle on a horse made of shadows with glowing red eyes that breathes fire while wielding a giant sword. What exactly drives him seems to change from time to time, but is always similar. He is definitely mystical, having been around long before even anachrotech could have supplied him with those powers. During the Cyrean war, he manifested as Cyrean ground troops tried to march on Tokyo, and laid waste to a couple companies of them single-handedly, before facing one of their Generals and was forced to quit the field.

The Kusanagi is one of the three imperial treasures of Japan, kind of like a Japanese Excalibur or similar. In mythology the storm god Susanoo found it after he killed the Yamata-no-Orochi, and gave it to the chief goddess of the Japanese pantheon, Amaterasu, who in turn gave it to her grandson when she sent him to civilize Japan and he became their first emperor. Also, according to mythology, it has some powers related to wind, from a story of an emperor using it to create a wind which redirected a fire away from him toward his enemy's army. So it has a lot of mythological significance in Japan.

Having spent only ten minutes total walking around the museum and admiring the mannequins, you decide to get on about your business and see the actual exhibit.

First thing you see when you come in is a Bristol F2 Fighter, a replica of the biplane which Lady Ashwood flew in a biplane duel with Gespenst, which is suspended from the ceiling. All around this room are other various bits of early League paraphernalia, and some displays on the history which led to the League's creation, and also what they did as a special unit in WW2, before they were the league. Other areas are concerned with Nazi attempts and supersoldiers, which opened the path for early Metascience, and also their occult obsessions.

    (+2 WP for History)

Having gotten your fill of the early metahumans exhibit, for now, you decide to look into something more immediately relevant. To you.

You take a stroll over to the Area related to the Classical History, the Greeks and the Romans. Doing a little remembering from your classes on the subject, you recognize Nerio and Veritas as Roman names, so concentrate on that section. Upon entering this section, to pause, as you feel something in bands of energy tied around your arm. They seem to vibrate, or perhaps resonate is the better word. Curious. You've heard of things, Touchstones and Axis Mundi, places on this Prime Material Plane which resonate with the Spirit World. Maybe you can look into that later.

(2x2 and 2x7 on Research test)

You spend the next half hour examining statues, coins and other roman trinkets. Veritas is relatively easy to find some reference for, her name meaning 'Truth' in Latin. Related to the Greek Aletheia, she was a moderately important goddess. Daughter of Saturn, sister to Jupiter, she was said to hide in a holy well for she was so illusive, and also personified the Roman virtue of Truth.

Nerio is a bit harder to trace, and is a bit obscure. All you can get from some Ancient Roman objects is that she was a goddess of Valor, opposite number to Mars in early cult practices, before being supplanted by deities adapted from other religions.

    (2x6 and 3x9 on Magesight)

You open up your improved mage's sight. In some ways, its better than the original Psi Sense. When you used it to view auras, most of the world at large, lacking an aura, just appeared as shadowy shapes. With your Magesight, the room appears crystal clear, sharper even than normal, and the persistent blue tint of your glasses is alleviated instantly. You look around the room. Many of the objects, such as some of the statues, appear whole and new again, and you understand that this is how they exist on a spiritual level. Plato's Allegory of the Cave springs to your mind.

You can also see yourself, and the blue-white bands of power tied around your arm. Each now has an additional streamer of energy which leads off into the ceiling, disappearing into the void somewhere. People appear similar to being under your aurasight, though the magical portion seems to edit out the aura that covers them directly, just showing it radiating around them. Since you don't look at anyone to closely, just scanning the room, nothing really leaps out about the people.

    (Nope, still Psi)

(Aw man, I hate it when consensus gets me. I'll use part of >>18047447 then)

You decide to go over to their exhibits on the Cyrean War and the reconstruction period after. On the way, you shoot your father at text saying. 'Met Professor Blackstone today. Told interesting stories about Aztec mummies'. The reply you get back only seconds later simply reads 'I DONE TOLD YOU, SON. I TOLD YOU'.

You enter the Cyrean artifacts hall, which is an interesting area, if a little purple. Toward the back, they focus more on information about the early GC and the Post-War Reconstruction on Earth, but up front is the good stuff. Right in front of you when you enter is a display case with three standing sets of Cyrean armor, which you recognized from your genetic memories as light scout armor, heavy infantry armor, and squad leader armor. Off to the right are display cases filled with Cyrean weapons, both their melee ghostblades, and a couple of their infantry weapons, a plasma pistol and rifle, and also one of their long-range shard rifles. In another case right next to it are some Power Modules, two of which your expanded senses detect as inert, and the third is one you already have, the Psibolt. Makes sense, since it was fairly common.

(Had to go back a bit to remember exactly how tall I said Cyrean's were.)

You walk up to the collection of armor, and study it, comparing it to mentally to the set you're wearing. It's pretty-thin, and the shaping seems similar to the light Scout armor, which was worn by, derp, their scouts and advanced forces. The sizing is a bit wrong, though, so you put some stuff together in your head.

Due to their sexual dimorphism, Cyrean females do their most intensive work, including fighting, and their average height is about 6 and a half feet. Average Cyrean male height is five and a half. Being of average human height, and the plate fitting you pretty well, you can only make two assumptions. One, you're wearing the Cyrean equivalent of a bulletproof vest for a battlefield attache, who was tall, or you're wearing a set of armor made for the Cyrean developmental equivalent to a teenage girl. The world may never know.

You decide to go look at the shard rifle. This elegant long range weapon was the Cyrean idea of anti-armor. Specifically, anti their own armor. It fires the same diamondoid material in flechette form at high velocities, usually aimed at a critical area. Very deadly.

I can't remember if I said this before, but Dan's breastplate is un-tagged. It may not have been given to its intended user before the War ended, or maybe Regis has some way of removing the ID.

I'm going to say Knowledge wont work though, because that's A) outside of Vertias' sphere of influence (IE, Earth) and B) Doesn't fit the description of the power's Useful, which is basically "All the Knowledge skills". You'd have to find an expert and ask. There are a couple Cyrean ex-pats, and also some other ETs who remained on Earth, but they're hard to get a hold of. Or you could go to SPAAAACE.

We should probably go to space eventually.
    After our scavenge raid, maybe?
    >> !UdzMmUq0Oc 02/21/12(Tue)22:31 No.18048434
But won't going to space take a bunch of money? Or is there a "new meta going to spaaace" scholarship?

(I'm prepared for you to go to space, for once. I planned that contingency in my back pocket from like, thread 2.)

First you admire the Plasma rifle and pistol. Standard Issue infantry weapons for the Cyreans, since the were technologically advanced enough to iron out a lot of the difficulties with directed energy weapons. Less range and penetration than human ballistic weapons, but packs a lot more punch for the basic infantryman to carry.

Then you go to the opposite side of the exhibit, where they talk about Cyrean culture. Under glass are some everyday Cyrean gadgets. They also have some models based on Cyreans, and a handy-dandy chart explaining their caste system, the symbology there of, and also some differences between them, due to their own Gene editing.

There are two female, and one male mannequins. The primary female is a Warrior Caste, only a few inches shy of seven feet tall, and in full battle armor, a pretty good replica of the actual sets they have out. The male is also a Warrior caste, wearing a military uniform, denoting he is some kind of aide, or perhaps one of their tacticians. The second female is one of their Engineer caste, being the second most commonly seen during the war, wearing a pilot's uniform.
    >> Anonymous 02/21/12(Tue)22:48 No.18048742
    Can we examine the chart?
    >> Omega !Q7t.srvWZ6 02/21/12(Tue)22:49 No.18048769

The Galactic Confederacy government actually could really use more metahumans out there, and could pay your way to space, to help them fight remnants of the Empire, Hiveling infestations, or just general "fall of a nation" type discord *coughspacepiratescough*.

But that would be like getting a job. You could find other ways into space.
    >> Anonymous 02/21/12(Tue)22:51 No.18048806
Couldn`t we just enlist in the war? I assume they would accept metahuman signups.
    >> Anonymous 02/21/12(Tue)22:56 No.18048883
There is no war. The war ended a few decades ago.
    >> Anonymous 02/21/12(Tue)22:57 No.18048913
That would literally be finding a job. I'm ready to go find Ashy-kins now.

You look at the chart, which explains the nine caste system, and includes the Cyrean characters for each (which you can read).

Castes are ranked, in order of power within the Empire, starting at the Labor caste, then moving up to the Artisans, the Engineers, the Spy caste, the Merchant caste, the Warriors, the Scholar caste and finally the Noble caste at the top. There are also the Casteless, those who have been stripped of their caste for crimes committed or being disowned by their families. Being Casteless isn't as big of a deal now, you know, because the Cyrean species is basically at war with itself, and both sides have declared everyone else on the other side a caste traitor.
    >> Omega !Q7t.srvWZ6 02/21/12(Tue)23:07 No.18049048

There's still time to look at more Cyrean stuff, and still make it to Ashwood EXACTLY on time since he want you to meet him at the storage rooms after closing time.

You decide to get something to snack on, in case whatever Ashwood's doing takes a while. To the vending machine! You get some stuff, and tuck it into your pockets. You'd put it in the Ritual Kit, but then it would probably taste like incense.

You slowly walk through the Museum, casually glancing at some stuff, before wandering over to the back area, nodding at some people as you go into the back, arriving at the doors to the storeroom just in time to hear the announcement that the museum is now closing.

You walk into the storage areas, which look a bit like the warehouse from the end of Raiders, and see Ashwood at a desk just inside, sipping a starbucks coffee and looking at something on a tablet PC. He looks up at you. "Ah, Fortesque." He pulls out a goddamn pocket-watch and checks it "Right on time." He says, and puts the watch back. "Any questions before we begin?"

"Yeah, what's the occasion?" You ask. "Well," He says "To put it simply, Professor Richards is interested in a number of items of unusual origins which are in Museum storage. Normally, I'd spend this first night simply cataloging them, making sure they are where they're supposed to be and running them down if they aren't." He pauses to take a sip of coffee. "However, since you're here," He points at you with his cup, "I want to gather up any of the items we can move, and have you check them with your Extrasensory abilities. If any stand out, I can much more quickly prioritize their study for the Professor."
    >> Anonymous 02/21/12(Tue)23:40 No.18049564
"That's definitely something I can do," (you twat), "And, while I'm at it, I'll use my VAST COSMIC KNOWLEDGE to see if I recognize any of the artifacts. I expect that should help you out too."
    >> Anonymous 02/21/12(Tue)23:42 No.18049588
In other words, we're just continuing the original favor the professor laid out for us when we were trying to score power armor parts.
She's gonna owe us for this if we decide to cash in.

Nah. I was joking on the vast cosmic knowledge part. Rather, I intend to be subtle about it, having Dan supernaturally know way more than he should about the artifacts. Then he'll offer no explanation. Just, you know, fucking smart as hell.

"Alright, I can do that. I mean, I'm a History/Anthropology major, this is right in my wheelhouse. But you or professor Richards is going to owe me for all this help." He finishes his coffee, and throws it into a nearby trash can with unerring accuracy. "Got you covered old boy," He says, suddenly grinning. "Grandmother dearest is coming for a visit this week, actually. Ever wanted to meet the Lady Ashwood herself?" You narrow your eyes at him. "You win this round, Ashwood." You say, in your best faux steely voice. Alexander accepts his victory with grace, then pulls a couple sheets of paper stapled together out of his attache case, and hands them to you.

"The Professor gave me the list in digital form, so I ran off this print copy for you." He says, as you take the paper. He taps his iPad, "My copy is on here." You begin to read through the list while Ashwood gathers his things. You notice he slings a long tube with a leather cover, like a map or poster case, over his shoulder. You find the list has some interesting items on it. Black Stone Box from Greenland which predates human settlement there, some Minoan objects, some unusual anachrotech examples, a few obscure books, a dragon statuette made of bone from Germany, before Germania was considered a distinct area, some mesoamerican junk, and a set of jade tablets with spells supposedly written on them. It's going to be an interesting night...

Sorry about the abrupt end, folks, but that was a good stopping point, and it is a school night, so I do have certain things to do before I go to bed.

As usual, ask questions as you will, and I'll see what I can answer tonight or tomorrow night.

You probably don't want to learn the rituals in those books.

They are bound in the leathers of creatures which should not be made into book covers.

Oh boy son, are you in for a surprise if you think the Black Stone Box from prehistory Greenland is a TARDIS.

This is good, since he's probably going to show up regularly. I never intended him to be an actual jackass, he's just an upper class twit with a superhero pedigree (Kind of. The fact that the Ashwoods are only powered by BRITISH RESOLVE and the love of Lady Luck is notable) who spent to many years hanging around with what's left of the British aristocracy.

You guys will probably come to like him more when you find out what's in the map case.

Hmm, well usually I always try to come up with some questions for you Omega, but this whole session was more about answering questions than generating them, so I haven't got anything.

I'm the same anon who made that character sheet. If Omega or anyone else has any ideas for things to add to it, I could do that.
