    589 KB /tg/ Meta Quest B2: Bootleg OP !!Cuw+lR6NxOH 01/26/12(Thu)01:21 No.17678634
On a level of reality just below our own, the Crossover began. A thousand walls between fiction and the Metaworld tore open, releasing the hungry forces of Sue from their cannibalized homes. Metaworld itself- connection between Fiction and Reality, and the result of seven billion human's perception of Reality, was nearly rent apart.

In the aftermath, with millions dead and cities flattened, the Rifts existed still. The group that had managed the feat of slaying the Sues stepped forward to defend these gates between Meta and Fiction. They knew that the only way to restore stability was to keep to the Canon, as thousands of Meta inhabitants disappeared into the worlds of Fiction, intent on their own agendas.

    The name of these guardians?

    The Transpace Guard.

There are millions of millions of Canons out there. From video games, to books, to movies, to movies, traditional games, and more. The goal of the Transpace Guard is to ensure that nobody fucks with the story, and that Canon is preserved, so that the Metaverse remains stable, and no great castastrophe happens again.

    Previous thread:
    >>17674594

For now: You are part of Transpace Guard Requisitions. The "Looting" part of Transpace Guard Requisitions. You have been sent on a mission to the mansion of an overweight neckbeard, who has found a way to drag attractive women THROUGH the meta to reach him, and charm them into his service.

You've recently suffered a SNAFU and have had to pull out temporarily while your alert level goes down. Here are your current objectives:

    MAIN GOAL:
#1. Find out what's allowing those characters to come in from other worlds, and swipe it.

    SIDE GOALS:
#1: These women aren't likely to stay with a fat slob of their own free will. Find out how they're being controlled.
#2: Despite having a harem, there must be a place where the Mansion owner goes to be alone. Find such a place, and our assassins' team will have a much easier job.
#3: There's bound to be lots of loot in this place. Collect all the interesting loot you can. Note that we have no use for jewellery, but particularily unique items, magic items, tech, and powerups are all good.

    SHIT TO AVOID:
#1: Don't kill any of the girls. You do this, you're fired.
#2: Injuries to the girls' health and sanity may cause problems in returning them to their canons. Try not to do this.
#3: Troops and Heroes are expensive to replace. Lose as few as you can.

You have taken the following with you on mission:
    1 Nightcrawler from X-men
    1 Auror from Harry Potter
1 Heartbeat sensor, Call of Duty
    1 Omni-tool, Mass Effect
    5 Flash bombs
    1 Mirror-on-a-stick
    1 Basic Lockpick
    >> Bootleg OP !!Cuw+lR6NxOH 01/26/12(Thu)01:26 No.17678679
Important things you have found out:

    >Women come and go from this place, so there is a two-way transportation thing here
    >There is a spell shield on the mansion that inhibits spellcasting inside it, and specifically blocks teleportation out.
    >Women here have been charmed, and willingly assist the neckbeard
    >Chocolate is involved somehow

The women you have seen thus far are:
    Renamon
    Princess Peach
    Chun-Li
    Sailor Mercury
    Amalia
    A Tiefling warlock
You also know that someone owns a Geodude.

So, while you lick your wounds (literal, in the case of Nightcrawler), you hope to hatch a plan with slightly more common sense.

OK, suggest the Auror casts supersensory charm on himself and crawler. Also invisibilty and silencing spells, before we head in.

Also, investigate the mysterious hedgemaze and those artificial trees before re-entering the mansion proper.

In any case, it's now up to the players to find a plan to accomplish their objectives with the tools they've been given. Hopefully one that won't fail disastrously.

Oh, I forgot: You also have:
1 Bag of holding, which contains:
    >1 Stack of Mario Mushrooms

    >How does the Auror's magic work outside? I figure it should work at full power, but we should check to be sure
The Auror reports that he's a bit frazzled by his experience, but nonetheless, his spells work at full power.

To be blunt, we arn't going back in as unprepaired as we did last time. We need to try and play this smart. We failed to grab the neck beards name last time, which is bad, because it foils a perfectly good Taboo spell.

Perhaps that isn't all for not though. If we cast Taboo on another person's name that we saw in the mansion we will at least have some vision into the activities of the household. In addition it would give us temporary ability to enter and exit, because Taboo temporarily dispels enchantments within an area. We'd have to be DAMN fast about it though.

Taboo on James White sounds like a solid idea to me. It'd give us a chance to port in on a location, nab whoever said what, and sort it out later. Are their any more potent scrying spells in the potter-verse? i know of a few DnD ones that would be helpful, but don't know if our caster has access to them.

Also with Legilimency (memory accessing and manipulation) we could attempt to gain more information from any targets we could apprehend through these means.

It is not necessary for you to disable all the girls.
    Your mission goals are:

#1. Find out what's allowing those characters to come in from other worlds, and swipe it.

    SIDE GOALS:
    #1: COMPLETE
#2: Despite having a harem, there must be a place where the Mansion owner goes to be alone. Find such a place, and our assassins' team will have a much easier job.
#3: There's bound to be lots of loot in this place. Collect all the interesting loot you can.
#4: Abduction is a crime, but magic love potions can't be explained to the local police. Find mundane evidence of the Owner's crimes.

The Auror casts a Silencing charm.
A ring on her finger flashes, and Amalia is on guard. She says, "Where are you?", in a voice that implies she clearly is not silent.

With a "Confundo", Nightcrawler BAMFs in, steals her sack, and ports out before she can act. Amalia now seems somewhat confused.

Upon casting Petrificas Totalis, Amalia's body stiffens and becomes immobile. The ring on her finger has a subtle glow, which is increasing quickly over time.

    The bag contains:

It's a green glow, which we know by now from the window, to counteract against magic or anyone casting magic. We'll have to risk sacrificing the bag of holding right now and use it to contain what's going to happen with the ring.

We could theoretically cast Defodio into the ground to make a hole to dump the ring into, but the ring will predictable react again to the Auror or Amalia.

If anything in general, the ring is protecting Amalia.
    >> Anonymous 01/26/12(Thu)12:16 No.17682627
    OK, guys?

Let's keep a few things in mind for when the quest fires up again.

    1. The five Ps. we do not commit to a course of action without careful consideration of the consequences.
2.COMMON SENSE. Bootleg OP is much less forgiving, so we need to consider all complications, even the obvious stuff.
3.The Chocolate. The Auror can maybe cure some of the girls who've eaten less chocolate with Finite. Apparently, how much chocolate they have is a indicator of how much they've eaten. If we can do this, it'll make our infiltration far easier. Since they'll get mindwiped before being sent home, we shouldn't have to worry too much (although a cover story might be worth considering.)
    4. 'stick to the plan, chums!' we need to keep our objectives in mind. Whacking the grognard and getting the girls out are tertiary objectives. We need to get what we came for-and focus upon low-risk secondary objectives, if at all possible. We got too damn ambitious on the first run, and it bit us in the ass.

If we're up for being a more morally flexible version of our main quest counterparts, we could try utilizing small bits of chocolate to make the girls not want to kill us on sight. It seems to work immediately to invoke lust, and over time it seems to seat an instinctual liking/tolerance for a person regardless of appearance; Peach seemed to not be too eager to participate in what she thought was some sorta sex fantasy before eating some of the chocolate.

A bite-size piece caused immense feelings. Perhaps half that or a smaller piece would make the girls cooperate with us or merely not want to kick our asses or scream whenever they saw us.
    >> Anonymous 01/26/12(Thu)18:54 No.17687046
I say we use the chocolates on any of the women we can feasibly use them on. If nothing else, they'll be less hostile to us, and if we're lucky, we can nab them for eventual return to their home canons after we take them back to requisitions HR.
Any left over chocolates we turn over for DOSH.

This said, if there is no good opportunity (like with Peach tied up), we shouldn't try to force one. Primary goals first, then secondary and chocolate based kidnapping third.

Yeah, 'crawler is not liable to want a part in mindcontrol. If it was ultimate nightcrawler, maybe.

I say remove the ring, unfreeze her (with Finite), and be on standby. Finite might also remove the chocolate's affects, although this is unlikely. Then, knock here out with stupefy (or put her to sleep), and tie her up with Incarcerous if she still proves affected by the chocolate. Hopefully that'll keep her pacified. If we do that, though, make sure she's out of range of plants! COMMON SENSE, people1 We don't want the crew to be eaten by getting our own looted piranha plants set on us.

Might the level of chocolate exposure also be tied into how OOC the girls are? I mean, Mercury just wanted to study, rather than joining in Kinky funtimes, and I'm pretty sure canon Peach isn't into BDSM. Amalia being out gardening might mean she's salvagable.

yes, dispose of the ring. i just hope if we chuck it in the bag, it won't explode.

I'm guessing chucking it out of the window isn't an option? Judging by the fact it started acting up from magic, just getting it away from us might be a good idea. Or finite on it (yeah I know, broken record) to see if we can disable its enchantment. If we somehow get Amalia or any of the girls on our side, they might need nonfunctioning rings to wear, else it might arouse suspicion.

    Also:Antimagic ring+bag of holding=possibly a bad idea?

A druid from Wakfu. Summons vines, flower bombs.

You have 3 suggestions given so far:
#1: Subdue Amalia, try to apply chocolate to her, as the Auror dives on her ring and contains it
#2: The Auror casts Lumos, Nightcrawler teleports behind the Auror, and attempts to exfiltrate with the Auror.
#3: The Auror casts a Shield charm, Nightcrawler teleports to the Auror, and attempts to exfiltrate with the Auror.
    And, as always:
    #4: Something else.
Which plan do you think is best for this situation? Vote now.

Well, let's have the Auror use 'Protego Totalus' (anti-magic bubble shield), 'Accio Ring', 'Lumos', and then have Nightcrawler bamf, to get him and the Auror out of there ASAP.

    Any alterations?

I'm saying no to using the chocolates. That's not what we do. and where we are might possibly backfire if she imprints on Renamon instead.

Suggest we exfiltrate and get back to looting.

Repeating my standing order: If we subdue a girl, remove her ring and port her to the ship were we can work on her uninterrupted.

    "GEODUDE! use ROCK TOMB!"
    "Diamond storm!"

A Flurry of Diamonds, and a hail of rocks, both bash down onto the spot where Nightcrawler was just half a second ago.
Nightcrawler teleports over to the Auror for extraction, unable to grab the ring in time.
Vines spring up, tangling the Auror before he notices them - your Auror is now entangled!
A protective bubble springs up around the Auror. It holds against a stray rock - for now.

    hoorah! the dice favour us!

amending my standing order, if we subdue a girl AND can extract her without risk of detection, then do it.

But we really should keep that low on the list.

Renamon appears to be fairly high-up, so deprogramming is unlikely to be successful. But if we can get info out her head, then that might be useful.

While Renamon is the kind to fight it out like a pouncing ninja with slashing maneuvers, she hasn't shown anything in the tv series that's plays out like an assassin or a running battle to catch the enemy in a moment of weakness.

essentially either subdueing the enemy or GTFOing away from danger as much as highly possible.
its a strategy game more or less where the point is to not get caught/have as little confrontational battles as possible while trying to do the objective.

You subdued them properly and intelligently.
Then Peach rolled a 100 on her Wis check, and realised you were intruders, not new housemates.

I kind of expected you'd check what's inside each of the rooms before teleporting into one, or at the very least, HIDE instead of trying to disable and capture everyone.

    gtfo.

if possible, port auror up to the ship, then get crawler to port down and grab the trainer, do several rapid teleports to disorient her, maybe even knock her out (he has done this in the comics, including knocking people out from the strain) maybe land her somewhere outside of the mansion's boundaries (NOT THE SHIP). KO her, strip her of her pokeballs while unconscious (stick them iin the back of holding), THEN bring her up to the ship.

    "Get behind me!"
Nightcrawler shouts as he assumes a defensive position, ready to defend the Auror against any attacks.

    "DIAMOND STORM!"
A hail of diamonds pelts the Auror's shield.
The shield holds - at least for now.
    "GEODUDE! use TACKLE!"
Geodude flies at a high speed towards the Auror... penetrating and breaking the shield! Nightcrawler blocks the Geodude's tackle, taking relatively little damage.
    "ACCIO RING!"
Though Renamon and Roxanne's rings wiggle slightly, Amalia's flies right into the hands of the Auror.
"Herr wizard, let's get out of hier."
Nightcrawler BAMFs away with the Auror, and as he's doing so ...

... A rain of flower bombs explodes harmlessly on the ground where he and the Auror once were.

Time for less Rambo, more Solid Snake. We really need to lay down everything we've known so far about the mansion and the targets. First thing to do is to figure out the floor plan of the mansion based on what we've seen and scried for. Then we figure out the extent of what Roxanne and Amalia can do.

shit, I forget to implement the ring into my strategy. Make sure that 'crawler removes that before taking her up to the ship. And tell him to drop her off and remove the ring before it interferes with his porting too much.

Also, if we're playing snake, don't forget that Nightcrawler can cling to walls ala Spiderman and hide in (and possibly travel through) shadows.
