    Do you see?!

    DO YOU SEE?!?!

    TG QUEST!!!

    Last thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/17615286/

Short summary: You have stumbled into the lair-world of the arch-SUE Sapphirius. She and her SUE consort, El, have been noted as attending Tokyo College, but no trace of them has been found in the facility.

What you DID find, was a gemmed manga that transported Spike, Tosh, and most of the Sandmen to what you believe is a world connected to the Kingdom Hearts canon.

Cheryl has managed to make telepathic contact with them, and the manga was recovered and put in the containment bay for research.

    What is your next move?
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)21:09 No.17650162
Have Egon, the Gurus, and the Aurors carefully examine the book, and try to determine how to open it so that we can pull our people back out.

Have Darius, Star-Lord, a squad of KI and Droids on standby in case the S.U.E.'s come through while we have the book.

    Also, confirmation from A.N.O.N.:
When we first scanned the world for reality distortions, how many distortions were detected? 1 or 3?
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)21:11 No.17650195
Have the Farseers foresee the ramifications of destroying the book.

A.N.O.N., confirm with another scan that there are no other reality distortions on this world currently.

That means that those two S.U.E.'s are the source of the distortion and therefore our targets.

Have the scientists continue examining the book.Have our two remaining Sandmen search the off-campus apartments of our targets.
    >> MetaQuest OP 01/23/12(Mon)21:25 No.17650351

i was offering the BEST solution, where we hold onto the book until we have the reality stabilizer guns ready, we gfo into the books, and blast the crap out of the SUEs with them. once they are dead we have saved multiple worlds and things are ok from there.

it gives more places to collect tech wise and it also gives us access to stupidly overpowered bullshit if we REALLY need it.

So, let's try to get something done.

    Plan of action (short-term):
    1. Have the scientists continue examining the book.
    2. Have our two remaining Sandmen search the off-campus apartments of our targets.
    3. Have Darius, Star-Lord, a squad of KI and Droids on standby in case the S.U.E.'s come through while we have the book.

so if you guys arn't willing to go blow the hell out of the SUE, how do you suggest getting spike and tosh and their crew out of the book?

also note: saving the people inside the book that arn't SUE scum is probably a bonus.
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)21:46 No.17650638
Well, since Spike already saw Mickey, what if they try to negotiate to jump worlds?
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)21:49 No.17650664
better question then; how do we get rid of the SUE's without collapsing a world?
    >> MetaQuest OP 01/23/12(Mon)21:50 No.17650677
How long are you going to wait on the scientists and Sandmen?
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)21:51 No.17650699
They haven't seen Mickey personally, or interacted with the locals much. We told them to lay low, remember?

Safely using the book is what our scientists are working on right now.

Killing them doesn't destroy either of the worlds.
At most, it would result in the book no longer working as a Meta-portal.

It's like you guys aren't even reading what's in this thread.
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)21:53 No.17650725
Sandmen have 2 tours to do their search. Make sure to record everything, have Douglas watch them, or even better, have him transport down and help them with searching the place. He's a former Detective, so he'll have experience in searching for clues about a suspect from their apartment.

Same time for the scientists, have them give us an update at 2 hours.

Also, have Data pull the course curriculum for Sapph and El, see when their next classes are so we know how much time we have before they try to come back to this world.
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)21:54 No.17650729
if the book breaks/becomes useless, that world dies.

I'm just treying to figure out whether or not the S.U.E.s are integral to the worlds continued existance or not.
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)21:55 No.17650751
You idiot. That just means that the world where the S.U.E.'s are in when the book gets destroyed is doomed because they have to deal with them and we won't have the coordinates to transit to their location.
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)21:57 No.17650766
and what's preventing us from finding the right dimension to dial into to get into the book and jump our ships there? When the SUES then try to escape out of the book, they'll be in our cargo hold, with reality emitters at the ready.
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)21:57 No.17650771
so once again, why can't we just murder the ever living crap out of the S.U.E.s?
we should probably have the weapons for it at the end of the day because reality emitters>S.U.E. shenanigans.
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)22:00 No.17650813
Because terminating the S.U.E.'s has to be undertaken in a manner which minimizes risk to our crew as well as the risk of Meta-contamination.

Right now, since we have the book inside of the Storm's containment bay and within the area-of-effect of its capital ship-grade reality emitter, we're in a prime position to kill them as they emerge. There's no need to go into the book, when we're fairly certain that they're going to be coming back out, and we can set a trap for them.
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)22:04 No.17650868
So we just place the book with every Reality Emitter and Disruptor aimed at it, and station the BLU Sniper nearby, and when Saph and El emerge, Sniper does his thing?
It sounds like a good plan.

ANON, can you determine the coordinates of the book's canon and get us there through conventional transpace travel?

It only takes a few minutes for Data to locate where the couple live, a large house on the outskirts of the city proper. Another two hours pass as the Sandmen and Douglas search the home thoroughly.

You have the SCP contain the diary and run a basic analysis on it, with your spellcasters using detect magic and identify.

The diary is composed of just paper, ink, and an expensive leather binding. However, it HAS been imbued with some sort of trap magic, the abjurists manage to find.

    >> Potential Writefag 01/23/12(Mon)22:50 No.17651445
Because we already have boots on the ground, people are already missing and possibly in danger, and everyone with boots on the ground should be armed with Reality Emitters themselves.

We don't need the probe part because we already know where this stuff is. The issue now is figuring out how to deal with it.
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)22:51 No.17651450
Weaponized Reality Emitters? You mean the Reality Disruptors? That's because they take time to build.

If you're talking about just putting reality emitters on droids, we can do that, but we don't have any place to send the droids to right now, since we can't safely open the portal book.

So why don't you shut up and contribute something useful for a change, instead of posting ideas that can't be implemented within our time constraints and don't contribute to a solution to our problem?

Your Abjurists were in the process of unweaving the wards on the book with Dispel Magic before the Farseers stop them and point out a few traps designed to activate if someone attempts to dispel the wards. They narrowly avoid catastrophe and dispel those wards before moving down the rest in order.

Mostly because HQ can decide better than us what they'd like to do with the book. If the book's ultimate fate is to be blown up, no harm done by having HQ do it. If the book's ultimate fate is to be used somehow, HQ can do that better than us.

    Here's the plan:
    Read the Diary.
Get the Sandmen and Douglas back to our ship.

The only other thing we could possibly gain from the surface is gossip with other students that are Sapphy and El's friends, but judging by her deviantart profile, she's not likely to have many of them, if any at all.

That means we should be safe to pull everything back to orbit and prepare for a space battle.

For now, just analyse the magic transport book, see if there's a way to get the Co-ordinates of its target canon, a way to open the book as a 2-way portal, or similar.

While this happens, ensure that where-ever the book is held, that entire section of the Oncoming Storm can be jettisoned at a moments' notice, and all crewmen in the area beamed aboard the Indefatigable within a few seconds.

Position any reality emitting ships in a sphere around the containment bay.

If the S.U.E.s come through, we'll want to separate the containment bay from the rest of the storm, turn up reality emitters to "0v3rcl0ck", and fire every weapon we have at them as soon as the Storm's not in the blast range.
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)23:24 No.17651836
Or mind-control some civilians of opposite genders to flirt with each person in the pair, causing Sapph and El to quarrel and escalate their fight to the point of killing each other.
    >> Anonymous 01/23/12(Mon)23:27 No.17651861
The Containment Bay is already designed for handling dangerous materials and all research on the book is taking place through remotes.
As for more reality emitters, we're within a capital ship-grade reality emitter field, with much better power and range than a personal one. The book is already inside a sphere of enforced reality.

Skipping over page after page of speculation on if El likes her or LIKE likes her, more pages of complaining how hard life is, and finally even more pages of speculations on how the radical gay agenda is preventing the public from seeing the truth of Jesus, Douglas manages to locate a few tidbits of information that are actually useful.

It seems Sapph recently learned she is the dragon-descendant of the ancient dragon-goddess Sapphirius, and has inherited all of her ancestor's ancient powers and her Ultimate Sword. She must transform into one of her 'dragon forms' to use them, except for the sword which she can always summon and use. Her crush/boyfriend El, has been granted powers as her guardian.

Some entries go by with Sapph more or less abusing her powers in the guise of 'justice', before finding a magical book in the pile of inherited loot she'd received. This book allows her to travel to ancient lands once watched over by Sapphirius, and she has gone there to take up the role of guardian. The last few entries details her experiences through the book-portal, herself concluding that while it was wonderful to meet such legendary figures as Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy, and the rest, it was clear that they needed her guidance and wisdom. The Magic Kingdom needed a goddess to lead it. And she would be it.

Also get Egon to look it over, possibly using Twinkie talk.

If we transfer to the KH verse, I think we should tell Holtz, and possibly leave some forces here in case of unforeseen calamity. It wouldn't do to kill the Sues only to find the Orz paid a visit while we were gone. Not to mention, it won't look like we're shirking the job if we cover all our bases.

I really think we should get a meta comms unit at some point. Holtz was a field agent-it might be good to ask for advice sometimes, as well as check up on stuff like the bounty.

Or mount reality emitters around their apartment and then do the poisoning/horrible nanomachine death by the stuff lying around that they have?

Alternative: Appeal and complain to Sapphirius about Sapph misusing her powers. Bam, no more SUE powers.

As Egon, the Aurors, and the Gurus continue to try to figure out how to work the book, prepare a welcoming committee for when our targets arrive back here.

I suggest we place the book on the Lunar surface on the dark side. That will allow us to be able to concentrate all of our capital ship-grade Reality Emitters into a concentrated area.
We'll see if they can breath in vacuum.

We should try to introduce her to some other warriors of justice sometime.

But asides aside, this information may indicate that this SUE has breached the KH canon (or just Mickey's kingdom in the KH canon) and forcibly took power. The farseers' warning that destroying the book would also destroy a world may also suggest this.

That said, assuming Sapphy's digestive system works anywhere remotely like a normal human, she's got non-human cells inside her. We all do. Some of them are helpful in breaking down food.

Now, who wants to name a bacterium that will completely and utterly fuck you up if it gets in your system?
Those of you answering "Anthrax", give yourself a medal. E. Coli, Tuberculosis, Salmonella, Staph, and Rabbit fever are also valid targets.

Priority A: Find a way to get people back from the book, either by dragging them out through the book or getting that Canon's co-ordinates.
Priority B: Murder them in their sleep with poisons and diseases, stealing their overpowered shit and destroying it if we can (to prevent them from waking up and using it)

Over time, I've come to see Rainbows and Light as twice the force of steamrollery destruction that Entropy and Darkness are.
Entropy and Darkness *know* themselves as destroyers, and so they can be *known*. Thus while you may not have the strength to stand up to them, you *know* how they may be halted.
Light and Rainbows do not *know* themselves, and rush blindly across the cosmos, burning everything behind them. Their form cannot be *known* because of so many different interpretations, all of which think that their paths of blind burning destruction are good and constructive. While you can destroy that which you do not *know*, it's a lot harder to do.

If she were turned into a Sandman, besides the extreme unlikeliness, she wouldn't be under our control, and some of her abilities would be boosted and work better within a reality emitter field.

You'll have to see if we can reprogram the nanites. It was very difficult to just get them to stop controlling the original Sandmen, and now you want to install an overriding protocol.

She's a brute. A hulking, powerful brute with the mind of a teenage girl. We *might* be able to reduce her power if we get lucky on the reality emitter rolls (ha.), or if we take her out of her native 'canon' and apply reality emitters directly to her forehead.

It may be easier to outsmart her. The question here is how do we apply our smarts to figuratively knifing her in the dark, or making her vulnerable to said figurative knifing?

It's not reinforcements, but that we were doubting if the bounty was planted by High Command to kill us off on purpose, that we were secretly being watched as we went to this canon.

    Step 3:
In space, all the weapons, all the reality emitters.
    Step 4:
Return to base, send in the firemen.

I'm not sure what reinforcements could possibly do. We already have the strongest reality emitters in the Metaverse, and no other weapon can kill her.
Even a pure slaaneshi beam of concentrated elemental Faggot, amplified by the power of RikuxSora, would only make her angry.

That said, going back to base with "We've found her, we're planning an assassination, anyone wanna come with?" will likely get a few ships popping in for the chance to kill her.

There was no mention of resistance. The inhabitants seemed to be friendly, though there's little mention of them after Sapph's declaration.

The scientists, sages, and technowizards have completed their assessment of the book. It appears to be a straightforward portal book that acts as a safe gateway between this world and the Magical Kingdom. The trigger mechanism is to open the book and concentrate or already possess a desire to find something. It is uncertain if you can get the coordinates of the world from outside the book.

The reality distortion of the book appears linked to the SUE Sapphy. Melchoir and Egon theorize it may be possible to track her using this link. It also probably means that killing her will collapse the book's magic.

These sneakiness ideas may be our best bet to eliminating the SUE, or at least weakening her to manageable levels. We're effectively dealing with a girly version of a DBZ SUE, and even the DBZ cast weren't immune to viruses or such. It goes without saying that head-on attacks right away would be a quick way to seeing who the next set of TG quest protagonists are.

I know that it doesn't say that she's weak vs. viruses or sicknesses of any sort. But she's a SUE imagined by a teenager, and may not be subject to such planning. Although if we know anyone who can kill a deity with retard strength, we should probably ask their advice.

"You claim to be for Peace and Justice and Good, yet you use your powers only for petty evil by taking away all free will. By forcing yourself upon them as you are, you are in fact removing their reason to grow and live and exist. That is what the villain does. MetaOP, how do we control the people we send to the Magic Kingdom? Do we just have them sneak around and find the book?
Tosh and Spike are already well-suited to Stealthing and BSing their way around in search of the teleport book.
Do we have a description or a location of the second teleport book, based on the diary we recovered?
If not, can the Gurus and Egon find a way to analyse the book we DO have, to be able to track similar magics?

We need a Book radar or Book location description, and I'm confident that Tosh can get the book on his own, just as long as we tell him where stuff is.
I have no idea how we're meant to micromanage or control or direct the forces in the magic kingdom unless we send a command crew person over, and that's all kinds of full retard, so I guess we just give them a general direction and hope for the best.

Weak one is likely the book.

Tosh, Spike and the Sandmen find the book's location, and exfiltrate via the book.

I don't want to try murdering the SUE in the Kingdom Hearts world, as she has support from the locals, we don't have ships, and she doesn't need to hide her power there.

So we simply WAIT until she comes back to this world. We go with the "Sneak into her house and poison+nanite her bed/breakfast" plan, and hit her from range with any "Destroys a house" level attacks we have, typically anti-materiel sniper rounds, C4 charges, and orbital lasers.
If she survives THAT, we teleport everyone back up into orbit, crank the reality emitters up to 0v3rcl0ck, and hit her with everything.

    Good plan y/n?

    >> Potential Writefag 01/24/12(Tue)02:06 No.17653269

It seems that we're going to have to do this with more subtlety.

Sandmen, once the hubbub calms down, change your appearance and possibly clothes too, then try hypnotizing the guards with your voice thing.

Once that's done, Tosh can engage in proper sneak mode. We need that book!
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)02:08 No.17653283

Did the team rouse any suspicions, or were they pretty much told by the guards to "go away and don't let us catch you doing that again"?

On another note, we may have to discern their coordinates and pick them up via transporter, unless they can safely attempt another go at stealing what we think is the exit book.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)02:09 No.17653287
We don't need to take it, so much as get access to it.
Once things calm down again, they need to try again. Use the Sandmen's hypnotic voice and Tosh's psionic powers to good use.

Indeed. We need some kind of plan by this evening.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)14:25 No.17658273
Well basically we are dealing with a SUE that can at any point weigh enough to start supporting an orbit for satellite objects, a sword that will not cut, but will probably break bones and destroy organs, and possesses powers that even other SUEs would call 'over powered'.

Don't bother with surprise. If she is a 'goddess' then she will inevitably know of any attack before it happens. However given her pride, she will probably walk into it anyway, convinced of her own power that she will win.

Therefore, we need to set the stage with enough firepower to kill off both. Not orbital bombing, I mean energy weapons or mass rifles, in case the reality emitters do not get rid of the 'steel endoskeleton'.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)14:30 No.17658321
Surprise is one of the best weapons in the TG arsenal.
The second is planning and preparation.

We know that she is most likely going to use the book to return to the baseline world.
We can jettison the book into space, keep it targeted with multiple overlapping reality fields, and use Delta Green snipers with their micro-transporter-equipped sniper rifles to put bullets into the heads of the targets when they emerge and are depowered by the reality emitters.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)14:31 No.17658325
We could wait for them to leave the book, but given the tight quarters, we could risk a hull breach during the fighting. And knowing her, she won't have a problem fighting in a vacum while we...
Another liability is the book itself. She may try to use it to shield herself, or may try to hold it hostage, having no concept of caring for other but her own self gratification. And in the locals' current state, they would gladly die for her. Something that is unacceptable. Remember, we may be given a wider berth as to what we can do as the Guard, but that doesn't mean there won't be a political shitstorm when the fighting is over.

Likewise fighting within the book also carries its risks. We'll be fighting in enemy territory with a limited supply line to our front line.

If anything, first we need to move the battle to a place with favorable conditions. Possibly on Earth somewhere where there will be little collateral damage.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)14:38 No.17658380
Her ability to survive and fight in vacuum could very well be nullified by our ship's reality emitter, much like how the two S.U.E.'s that tried to attack our task force suffered explosive decompression when they entered our reality field.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)15:04 No.17658645
How can we be sure the Reality field will reach them? How affected will they be by it? And on top of that there is still the book. Some lives may have to be sacrificed, but we still need to keep sacrifices to a bare minimum.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)15:07 No.17658671
If we really want to have the fight occur on Earth, we can have it take place in the middle of the Rubi-ka desert. There's really nothing around for a good hundred miles, and we can have the Al'Kesh transports provide support with their capital ship-grade reality emitters.

But if something goes wrong, we won't be able to provide fire support from our ships.

Doing the fight in space let's us concentrate all of our firepower.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)15:12 No.17658745
The reality field from a capital ship reality emitter extends quite a distance away from a ship.

The book doesn't matter once we get the S.U.E.'s over here so we can kill them.
The book is powered by the S.U.E., so the book will essentially be destroyed, no longer functioning as a portal, once we kill the S.U.E.
The prediction from the Farseers only covers what would happen if we destroyed the portal-book while the S.U.E.'s are in the Kingdom Hearts world. Once they are here, it doesn't matter what happens to the book.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)15:19 No.17658814
If we're in space, we have 10 ships with capital ship-grade reality emitters (including the 2 Al'Kesh) so we can surround them and catch the targets in overlapping reality fields.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)15:42 No.17659081
A sound plan. But forgive me if it sounds...too easy. Preferably a backup in case something terrible happens, like say we roll a '1' and somehow open a black hole or something...
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)15:50 No.17659179
You would prefer the plan that has holes large enough to fly a C-130 through, that has no guarantee of success, and which is dependent on specific behavior that we haven't even checked to see if the targets take part in?
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)16:27 No.17659604
Just playing Devil's advocate. Every plan we've made screwed up somewhere thanks to shit rolls, I wanna make sure we take that into consideration so we don't do something bad like get the entire X-Commie team killed.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)16:37 No.17659720
I'm favoring the space plan as well, once we get our people out or the coordinates for that world, then we get the book into a cargo container and into deeper space where the light show won't disturb the locals. Get the fleet into position, and the HRD rifles mounted on something that can target in space.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)16:43 No.17659780
The 'Plan B' we really need to worry about is if they don't come back out on their own. We'll need to invent a reason for them to want to leave and check on the 'real' world. We really can't afford a direct conflict in the Magical Kingdom, that would result in some major canon disruption, particularly with her brainwashing possibly pitting important canon characters against us.
Best I can come up with it developing the SUE-cure and depowering them.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)17:03 No.17659982
Simple. Wait. She needs to return to the college on Monday, so she will try to leave then. That is when we should strike. Just need to make sure our team is out by then.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)17:11 No.17660053
Right, that's Plan A. We have to keep in mind the possibility that they like the attention there, and drag their feet on returning.
More likely though, they like the attention there and return set on ruling _this_ world too.
We'll need to be prepared to beam away anyone they might drag with them to help bring Earth in line with their rule and get them into reconstruction tanks to have them patched up for later return.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)17:46 No.17660426
If waiting isn't an option then bait them out.

Spread word that Tokyo...toyko...whatever college is being attacked and can only be stopped by a goddess or something. She'll be on that like honey. Anything to stroke that monstrous ego. She'll come running. The only problem is the risk she may convince the other SUE to stay.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)18:03 No.17660630
Judging from the vanity and insipidness, I think we can avoid bait that would cause them to come out ready for battle. More like just news of a special edition of some manga or a new season of their favorite tv show would be enough. See diary for appropriate bait.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)19:00 No.17661334
Alright then, is this our plan:
    1. Tosh steals some palace guard uniforms for Spike and the Sandmen. They try to get to the book again, this time using the Sandmen's face morphing and hypnotic voice, Spike's bullshitting ability, and Tosh's psi power of detection to get through the castle this time.

    2. Dealing with the SUE
    A. We put the book in deep space, surround it with our ships, use overlapping reality fields, and have Delta Green snipers with their micro-transport rifles headshot the SUE as soon as it appears.
    B. if it doesn't leave the Magic Kingdom we check the diary for what anime or manga they like and find a way to float rumors of a new season or collectors edition coming out, to bait them to come through the book.

We can change the battlefield to the middle of a desert if people don't want a space fight.

I also think that we need to be ready to face the SUEs in the KH verse. If they figure out that we might be waiting to trap them, they might just decide to stay in KH forever, and then we'll have to dig them out.

Is there any possible loot we can pick up from KH verse?

I remember seeing somebody mention getting a copy of Tron (not sure how that would work, but if its doable than it's worth trying)

Recon where? In the KH world? Where do you want to send Tosh and Spike?

Also, considering the personalities of these S.U.E.'s, I think it unlikely that they believe that any trap we set up could kill them, and will probably walk right into it, secure in their invulnerability.
The more likely problem is that they become infatuated with the Magic Kingdom enough that they decide to stay there.

Yes, in the KH verse. I know jack and shit about KH, so somebody better versed in the universe could probably figure out the specifics.

I'm not convinced sending the crew straight into a run on the book is a good idea. if it goes wrong, they'll be aware that there are hostiles on the other side. They could thus come through prepared, or simply fortify their side.

Better to get the lay of the land before acting.

We know where the book is, and our first attempt was already repulsed.
The team needs to get through the book before the SUE's come through and we kill them, because the books are powered by the SUE's, and when they die the books will no longer work.

The SUE in question calls herself a goddess, and yet associates with a group of imperfect half human homunculi because they are all pretty boy. >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)21:39 No.17663534
right, presumably we're using those 2 days to prepare our ambush?

What if our people get discovered? Even if they get through safely, the SUEs will know someting is up. FSM forbid that one of them is captured. We'll face one of two problems

1)SUE comes through, spoiling for a fight. Considering her raw power, this is...problematic. It gets worse if she brings friends, or worse PREPARES.
    2) Decides to stay in KH, either fortifying her position, or worse sealing off the canon by shutting off the book portal, in which case we're hosed.

I'm not saying don't pull them out, but don't rush it.

Can we also check with them were they came out? I'm guessing not in the castle. If we can figure out where they came in, we could resupply them. Of course,it raise the question of why the two books aren't directly linked, and if that's the case, we need to reassess our kill strategy.

Oh yeah, and it should be pointed out that we don't even know if they come straight out the book. That's a bit of a glaring flaw in our plan. Seems to be more of a matching set of books that can open portals independent of each other, rather than two linked books.

Which doesn't make all that much sense, but they're SUEs.

Have the team prepare for their second infiltration of the castle. Have Tosh recon while cloaked this time, to get a feel for the patrol routes the guards use.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:32 No.17664380
Well, we have two options, find coordinates or hope our very-away team can sneak to the book.

If we can't then we need the book where we can dump the SUEs if they come through and still have it somewhere safe to get the team back through the book before we finish killing the SUE. Presumably the containment area can facilitate this. Strap down the book, and eject them into space when they appear, then repressurize and tell the far-away team to gun for the book fast.

If we manage to get them out before the SUEs, then we stick the book in a cargo container surrounded by the fleet.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:33 No.17664389
hmmm...our plan to surround the book on our end with reality emitters might backfire in that case, if it winds up shunting the targets outside of the killbox.

Although if we need to send people or gear through, it'll need to be with reality emitter attached if we don't want to crash into the castle.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:35 No.17664409
No, it doesn't have to, because we can have the reality emitters turned off until after the S.U.E.'s portal in. As soon as they're here, we can turn on all of our reality emitters and hit them with 10 fields at once.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:37 No.17664430
then quick death will hopefully happen to the S.U.E.s because i REALLY don't want to attempt to detain them.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:37 No.17664431
if we can't get the team out, then we'll have to extrapolate the link, and they'll to lie low till we can extract them.

Can we please get an assessment on how long figuring out coords would take?
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:38 No.17664449
What's an estimate for Egon and the Gurus to come up with a Psychic-to-Meta-coordinate translation device?

we really have to hope she doesn't go godmode on us before we switch 'em on though. That would suck.
    >> MetaQuest OP 01/24/12(Tue)22:41 No.17664487
A week, maybe two. That solution might actually be workable as opposed to trying to rip the coordinates from the book.

I enjoy Boone Quest myself. I should make discrete inquiries...

If I may speculate on the abilities of the SUE for a moment, if we are forced to take a frontal assault method for dealing with the SUE:

    >Abilities: Can control any element, mix it, can control all dragons in a blink. Almost Known to be Invincible.

Can control any element. Assuming that the SUE isn't smart enough to know what periodic elements are, we can probably expect ice (or water)/fire/lightning/earth control. She's probably immune to these things as well, or can otherwise deflect attacks from those sources. Might still be affected from light/dark/psi/what have you.

"Almost Known to be invincible" could be a potential break, if whatever powers the creation of a SUE is a stickler for semantics. But it's probably safer to assume that she will probably be impervious to most weaponry unless she's in her mundane form.

    >Weakness: N/A Herself

This may present a possible avenue of weakness through that one mirror of true sight we got from Horror-world. She may suffer a nervous breakdown or start to doubt herself, decreasing her powers in the process. It may also make her dangerously unstable.

Alternatively, we may be able to bypass her immunities/near-invulnerability if we were able to focus our applicable spells on the reflection of her in the mirror of true sight, rather than on the SUE herself. If we get sciencey enough, we might be able to bend light in such a way so that we can get a reflection in the mirror without having to go toe-to-toe with her.

    >1 to 2 weeks to get coordinates
    Last item:
While Tosh recons the palace, have Tosh and the Sandmen discretely ask how long the Goddess plans to stay around. Does she come and go on her own schedule? Or is she planning on staying permanently. If it's the former, then we need to get our people out soon.
If it's the latter, then we can afford to get the device readied.
    >> Bootleg OP 01/24/12(Tue)22:45 No.17664537
    k. When OP is on vacation I'll run the quest.
I'll stop it when OP gets back.
I don't think I can run it as well as OP can, since I don't know nearly enough canons. But I can at least throw some Crossovers and some S.U.E.s at the players, give the players an opportunity to kill them, and see how it plays out.

OP, roughly when will you get back from your trip?
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:46 No.17664564
right, so we might to look into that. That's what, 5 days, assuming the SUEs head back on the 2nd day? if they're careful, then they can just hunt for food in the woods. Plus, it'll be another tech that may come in handy for future missions, so i suggest we develop it anyway.

How long would getting it from the journal take, again?
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:49 No.17664605
Don't forget that we have overarching problems.
We can't afford to camp out here for too long.

The unknown distortion is still making it's way into our sector.
The Void Engineers and NuChaos are still fighting over more S.T.O.B.'s.
The TG Civil War is still brewing.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:50 No.17664622
Our plan for dealing with the SUEs:
    1. Get Tosh and Spike out of Kingdom Hearts
1a. Possibly find a way to get Kingdom Hearts' co-ordinates
    2. Prepare a massive alpha strike as the S.U.E.s come out of the book - a ring of reality emitters around a book in space, and every weapon we have pointed there.
2a. Have a backup plan to retreat if the alpha strike fails.
2b. Even if her keyblade is total bullshit, try "Accio keyblade" by an Auror in the Indefatigable's teleporter to obtain it, followed by teleporting the bullshit keyblade to the inside of a black hole.
2c. If no black holes are present, having the Sandmen shoot the keyblade with black hole rifles should suffice.
    3. Set Poison/Nanites/Diseases around the S.U.E.'s home, along with a reality emitter to help them work. Even if we must retreat from the S.U.E.s, diseases and poisons might take them down.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:50 No.17664623
    >A week, maybe two.

Ok, so here is our plan tiering:

    1) Hope the away team can sneak to the book before the SUEs leave.
    2) Hope they can get to the book after the SUEs leave, but before we kill them.
    3) Find them a couple weeks later.

That's the hand we've been dealt. We'll just have to deal with it.

    Combat plans amount to:
    1) Move deeper into space where the fighting won't disturb the Earth.
    2) If the team is out, place the book in a cargo container in space. If the team is not out, we have the book secured in containment, ready to flush the SUEs into space, and repressurize in case the team can make it before the fighting is finished.
    3) Emitters on full and HRD rifles mounted to space firing platforms. I'd suggest mixing them in with the turbo-laser batteries so the Reality effect might help the volleys have more effect.
    4) Fight. Win.

If we're going to wait for 2 days, then we might as well transit to another world and see if we can clear it.
We'll still need to get Tosh and Co. back, I'm surprised they haven't been able to stealth/sneak their way to the book yet.

I hope we can restrict or otherwise engineer the bacteria/toxins we're going to use so that it affects the SUEs only.

I think releasing a super-plague on a world to eliminate a SUE might not go over well with HQ. Not counting the Firemen, of course.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:53 No.17664679
well there's always the possibility of doing other stuff while we work on the device.

    Just throwing that out there.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:56 No.17664705
    I would rather not.

This was supposed to be a milk run, a cake walk, something that we could hand off to the rookies to handle.
Instead, we've got 2 Heroes and most of a squad trapped on the other side of a Meta-portal with 2 high-power S.U.E.'s.

I don't want to tempt Fate/MetaOP even more by going to another Canon with a completely unknown threat scale.
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:56 No.17664706

So if the stranded away team doesn't manage to get their hands on the book, they could be stuck in the KH canon for some time.

I think it would be a good idea for them to take another shot at getting the journal. What do you guys think?

Also, there's something I'm not clear on with the SUE. Does she and her cohort merely assume a non-powered form to blend in when they're in the real world? Or do they revert to a mundane human once they get to the real world no matter what?
    >> Anonymous 01/24/12(Tue)22:57 No.17664722

Don't worry, Anthrax, Salmonella, E. Coli et. al. already have treatments available. The most lethal bacteria have the problem that they kill their host before they can spread.
