Also, I have some questions to you that MUST be answered:
    A) Where do you keep your chapter's machines? Name a ship, please, and please remember, that they will not redeploy themselves to wherever they are needed.

    B) When you travel with more than one ship, how do you deploy your marines? Equally on all ships, to protect them from boarding actions, or all marines on one ship, so that when escorts are lost, marines wouldn't die together with it? This setting, when chosen will also remain unchanged unless you say so.

    C) Are you happy with the way it is(you all command single Chapter Master), or would you be interested in having personal characters that could interact, train, or maybe even DIE? Second thing would be a lot harder for me to manage, but if you all want it, i think it would be fun.

    D) Are you happy with fluff in this quest? should there be more/less? Because if you don't read it anyway, maybe I should answer to your actions faster than writing half a page about every single world you encounter? Or maybe you think story is too shallow and you need something more? Speak up.

Here is a little list of things to do I made up at the end of the last part...

    - Have 5 current marines train as 3 techs and 2 apothecaries
    - Train our initiates as Marines (should have ~84 from 420)
    - Purge the DE prisoners if we can't get anything out of them
    - Get a bionic arm for now, grow a replacement for later (can we do that?)

One question: did that battle make our brothers experienced?

Let's grow a new arm then, a year seems like a good amount of time.

I think it's better we have Tetrovir train them than the AdMech on Onyx, we can't really trust them right now.

How long would it take for us to train the techs and apos? How long would it take for us to train our initiates/at what cost?

Also, I recommend asking the Eldar to move the Teleporter over from the Dark Eldar raider to Eternity. We'll hide it somewhere out of the way and cover it in Imperial crap to make it look normal.

on pc? maybe chaos gate, but i think it's squad level. or dawn of war with A LOT of you own imagination. i did that once, quite fun. however you are welcome to join us here, if you want.

Eldar agree to help you operate teleporter. However a really serious problem is that their tech is specialised for psychic users and only eldar and your librarians can use them properly(others suffer penalty + random dangers of the warp).

Also you are quite sure, that bringing this teleporter will upset techmarines... (Heresy gain.) do you do that?

I, personally, don't like having these aliens around. Something tells me they might get angry one day and end up costing us marines. We should use them once and then set them free.

I also think we shouldn't mess with the teleport. Why do we need it? This also raises another question: what are we going to do with the DE ship?

I suggest we contact an Inquisitor, and "turn over" both the ship and the aliens.

A favor with an Inquisitor is bound be useful at a later date, and playing around with xenos is a great way for us to get labeled as hereteks.

Also, we have a shitload of initiates. Motion to give them the glory of the gene-seed.

Eldar will cost you Heresy depending on how you will use them, because for now they still are glorified prisoners. Sending them to fight Orks somewhere will not cost so much Heresy as let's say fighting along side them on an Imperial Hive World.

Installing teleporters will cost you 5% Heresy, it is a quite serious xeno-tech. However it can teleport a marine per second, so your boarding action are A LOT more effective.

Do you want to initiate Second Generation Marine preparation? It will take 5 years.

Only FIVE PERCENT!? For a 100% effective, 1 marine a second xenoporter, in a fleet based chapter? We got more than that for bombing the Heretics! I say we go for it!

In other news, I think we should begin systematically asking the Eldar everything they know about both themselves and the Dark Eldar. With their cooperation, we could find new ways to kill xenos, and discover how to defeat things like Dark Eldar raiding parties and crazy ass warp phenomena.

Also, let's not forget Darwinian evolution applies. Those marines who develop stronger gene seed purely by chance will likely survive, excluding obviously heretical adaptations.

So guys, I've been thinking a bit about Chapter doctrine, and our recent history, and so it seems the thing to focus on is self-reliance.

Just as Sol inevitable rises each morning on Terra, so too will the Sons inevitable rise each day. Each ship and each company (maybe each company gets a cruiser?) should have the resources and the training to keep the Chapter alive and growing, if possible. This kind of redundancy will also ensure that our marines have a varied skillset, even within companies, and ensure that even a catastrophic blow against the Chapter will not be a fatal one.

We should begin distributing resources like this across our fleet.

Also, I think knowing Eldar, and knowing ABOUT Dark Eldar would be REALLY REALLY useful. Even if we blow up all the Xeno tech, knowing vital information on our enemies would come in handy. Also, whatever happened to that Halberd? Do we still have it?

Tetrovir, when consulted on xeno-teleporter is quite upset, but agrees that it is a very useful thing. However he claims that ship machine spirits are ancient and sometimes very capricious beings and might not like this abomination on their body. You need to carefully choose a ship that would accept it(if there is such a ship in your fleet) otherwise it might start malfunctioning(the ship) or even worse. Also, Tetrovir makes a formal protest against it(Heresy cost rises to 6% if installed).

I don't think making deals with eldar (especially DE) is good idea - but trying to screw them over on the other hand is acceptable..
As for the teleporter - better idea is to sell it to sell it. Maybe try to exchange it to admech? We could replace whole eldar escort for as much imperial tech as possible.

As for training I thing techmarines and librarians are priority for now. Especially techmarines - more of these will give us ability to increase our abilties at much faster rate

You have poor quality bionic arm and in a year replacement will be grown(unless you instead want a cool bionic augmentation of some kind). Growing replacement will cost 1 Wealth.

Halbeard is scanned by the Sophius. He claims, that it has some kind of very weak psychic signature, it definitely isn't an everyday weapon, but his skill is too low to identify it properly. If it is tainted by Chaos, then it is a very subtle and dangerous taint. Would you like to dispose of it?

Mistius, Omiron and Cessarius currently wield lower quality power weapons than your sword. However this gift is a sign of personal favour, you can motivate or antagonize your crew by giving it to certain person(it doesn't have to be a marine). So choose wisely, and remember that these three are not the only candidates to get it.

It is possible to reclaim Chaos-ships, however it takes a lot of cleansing, time and money. Also, their machine-spirits tend to be excentric even after reclaiming them. On the other hand, everyone knows a legend of Burning Glory - chaos ship that when recaptured tried to get vengeance on all chaosits because of pain it suffered while serving them.

Right. Lets Take the whole fleet and fuck them up. And lets take Salvation's guard with us.

I second the prisoner exchange Idea for the eldars. The teleporter should just be destroyed. Also I think we should pump the Eldar for information about Dark Eldar planets, and langage (that should not be too heretical)

While that is happening I want to sink 40 wealth worth of infrastructure into Heirun.

I vote we invest in some bionics for our newly regrown arm.

Let's keep our sword, as the halberd has a slight taint.

Let's try to exchange the Xeno-tech for imperial tech. I vote for installing the teleporter, but it seems like most people don't want that.

Let's try for some prisoners in exchange for the Eldar.

As for the teleporter - it is not evil by itself: the problem is not the teleporter, but whole escort ship, which we aleady used - and if we used it, we as well can sell it - we lost another escort - and we in dire need for resources. Asking onyx what to do with such a bounty wont hurt.

    >>17647463
as for helberd - we should use it - but watch for any trace of taint - if we find one - we should cleanse this item for further use (as did chapter master of space wolves with his axe). Sword we should leave as backup - we should take time in naming our succesor for wielding such a relic

As for arm - I will settle for replacement - but keep an eye for some archeotech bionics - chapter master cant be expected to go to battle with one arm.

As yet, the 2nd generation is un-tested in battle. They should accompany the crusade regiment from Salvation and establish a bastion in a suitable geographic area. This area could be reclaimed by orbital barrage first.

This will allow us to continue performing our defensive duties in the sector with the more tested battle brothers.

Immediate send in boarding parties, headed by what little librarians we have.

Keep high scanning on the rest of the system, this is almost certainly a trap of some kind.

If possible, use a cruiser to begin scanning the planet's surface for signs of heretical activity.

It may be that the Chaos forces are here to recover an artifact, or perhaps to hide from the Imperium.

Sometimes when the body grows weak the mind grows stronger.

They should be saved if possible. While recuperating they can be transferred to nordgrim to act as staff under the techmarine in the archaeology of the ship where the STC was found. There bionic limbs will not seem out of place, and besides they will have other things to occupy their minds. Perhaps one or both of them will choose to become a techmarine.

Regrowing their limbs is an expensive decision i shall leave to the others. I would personally leave the dreadnaught to the most experienced brothers, as we cannot buy many of them.

Can vehicles fit into the cave?

We should take Omiron's warning seriously; we are not equipped to deal with sorcerers just yet. I say we blow the entrance, and then wait for movement over the next few days. If we're lucky, the heretics will panic and begin killing each other while trapped inside. The traitor-marines will undoubtedly survive, but they will have nowhere to run, with their vessel captured and our Chapter watching the mountain range for signs of movement.

In this time period, we can send word to the Sisters of Battle that we need their assistance in cleansing a ship that they may choose to purchase from us.

What we could do, is set charges a little way down the cave, then blow the entrance shut. Once the entrance is completely blocked off, we detonate the charges further down the cave, the blocked entrance would force the blast into the cave, killing many cultists, as well as using up most/all the oxygen in the cave, thus condemning the traitors to death by suffocation (if their augmentations still work, they could always cocoon themselves, but they would still be neutralised).

I believe this would be better because any daemons the sorcerer could summon would be hard pressed to damage the heavy front armour of the tank, whereas a dozen bloodthirsters could make a real mess of one line of advancing infantry.

Librarians should shift their focus to bringing that chaos shield down, or at least damaging him. Our halberd would probably be very effective against here, the only problem is getting close without getting shot by his cannon and/or torn apart by tentacles.

I'm pretty sure none of them actually escaped, we killed all of the remaining chaos forces in a rage.

Actually, the idea of a "fleeing khorne berserker praying for khorne to save him" thing, as well as the "red mist of rage" has me worried. We need to have this halberd inspected more thoroughly before using it again. Maybe ask Silencius for help when we next meet.

If by original game you mean the first of its kind, then no, there was an earlier attempt maybe three, four months ago. OP seemed pretty good, but he got an inordinate amount of ridicule for his own inordinate amount of ellipses in his posts. After maybe half a dozen sessions I never found any trace of it starting again.

If by original game you meant that this is game of Skargan's is separate and unrelated to any other past game, okay, nevermind. I'll participate in this one like I did in the last one, and hopefully this one will actually keep going.

It is the latter. This is an entirely new and unrelated game to others that might have come before it,

Good to know. Skargan certainly seems to be more prepared than the last OP. Seriously, these pics he posts are an awesome addition. So long as he doesn't try to railroad as badly as the other guy, I'd be glad to join come the next session.
