    http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/17293888/

After luring the Dyles Entity to Protoss space, then saving the Protoss from the attack we had just engineered, we have managed to goad the Protoss into direct action against Dyles. They are preparing a fleet to destroy one of the lost UED worlds as we speak, though their Warp technology will require weeks of travel. We have considered taking them in our heighliners in order to speed up the conflict, but we're not certain whether showing the Protoss our slipstream drive is a great idea. We haven't decided.

(First, roll 1d100 for Horrible Things. Second, consider yourself reminded that there's no Quest next week because Partytime, Excellent. Third, is that hour downtime thing old, or will this interrupt us?)

Relatively? We control a large portion of the sector, plus colonies outside it, have a puppet Terran government, an understanding with Sis, slipstream drives, massive production facilities, and a cyborg planet. I dare say the difficulty is very low. Which makes me concerned, expand our facilities on Yoush and Xenta so we can start rolling out capital ships. And have labrate try to average a carrier and battlecrusier together, we should start having out own distinct spacecraft at this point. And more colonies in directions that aren't towards the UED or Protoss.

We believe it's more the fact that we didn't consult it while we were developing three separate plans that each would bring our empire very near to being completely broke...simultaneously.

That's the sort of financial mismanagement that could make it violent.

    >>17361116
(It only did it that once, and Kerrigan was intensely focused. An actual pat on the back might well have had the same effect)

Anyway, Accountantbrate informs us that we are expanding, but that so are our expenses. Maintaining a thousand-world empire with a gap in the middle the size of a galactic arm takes a lot of money.

Drill into Warbrate and accountantbrate's mind: Unless those two want to see the Queen and Bernie mating again across the universe in the Slipstream Club, they'd better make sure that the vessels are in CONSTANT USE.

Guys, Bernie is the equivalent of the Overmind's Gorn. Gorn's brood was only released as a desperation tactic or when the Overmind needed to scare the fuck out of someone.

While we've discovered that Gorn is in actuality just phenomenally good at shuffling troops around and kinda bad at tactics, Bernie is a cunning and tenacious combatant who gives our subconsciousness muchly-needed memory suppression practice. He's still very useful to us, we just need to find an enemy that isn't located near any one of our respectable allies. Besides, he was in the clutch of Zerglings that gave us Artisanlord! It wouldn't be right to shunt him over to die somewhere.

For some variety in our discussion, how's everything on the Confederacy side, OP? How's ZergTV faring on UED airwaves? Has the Game of Drones spinoff from the Manta Knight Chronicles been received well by Confederate viewers?

    >on the Confederacy side

(Surely, you mean the Morian Republic?)

ZergTV has officially split its bandwidth into several channels. Artisanlord is particularly happy with Bob Protoss' Joy of Painting with Cruor (hosted by our only remaining Infested Protoss, and obviously NOT broadcast in Protoss or UED space).

It's odd to watch the differing markets. The very meager Protoss audience seems to really enjoy the programming Artisanlord takes the most pride in, but also tunes out the very second peace or cooperation come across. The UED viewers tune in en masse for our technical programs and what we might unflatteringly call "technology porn." The Koprulu Terrans seem absolutely fascinated by a program Artisanlord simply didn't want to make, in which two scourge hatched from the same egg attempt to express their forbidden love.

Oh, how could I forget the tacky souvenirs from the UED we were supposed to get her!
We need to include a UED Navy baseball cap, and maybe some souvenir coffee mugs!
Oh, and we can double the hilarity by having our representative to the UED call for a high-level diplomatic meeting, at which he will apologetically state that the Overmind wishes for some souvenirs for his little sister, and where would be best to acquire such UED cultural artifacts.

Cram every overlord, battlecruiser, shuttle, carrier and dropship full of combat units and get every nuke on NukeWorld prepped for launch and ready to saturate Umoja ten times over.

We also need cloaklords and dropservers to head to Umoja. Warp them in outside the system and have them (stealthily) make their way towards the planet, looking for Kerrigan or absolutely anything out of the ordinary.

Ask to speak with our sister. If Duran refuses, jump in enough of our fleet to make a very intimidating statement. If he refuses, we go that hard way and invade the planet while searching for Kerri.

I like this. Keep him on the line, keep him distracted. We shouldn't do a psychic attack unless he's going to kill Kerrigan right that moment. Doing so might actually provoke him.

He shouldn't have any knowledge about our enhanced capabilities. Then again, considering that he's probably working for VotV (I hope we're ignoring SC2 canon), he might have his own special shit.

Position overwhelming force around him, and offer to let him leave in exchange for Kerrigan.

DO NOT DEPLOY ANYTHING BEFORE SCOUTING OUT UMOJA.

We should see about calling up raynor and preping the ghost squads. This will innevitably call for a rescue mission and he is the only man I can trust for the job. Set the crew to pick him up and the forces he is to command for the mission up with a heighliner.

We need to cut down on time between gathering the mission assets and having him in position as much as possible and theres really nothing that would do it better. This will also provide an excellent chance to see how the heighliner holds up in a presumably frantic battlezone.

And, with essentially two Swarms, there was bound to be a development or two you were unaware of. This is no different than the divergence of the Swarms following the death of the Overmind, really. You didn't interfere then. Why would you, now?"

    >>17363442
"I've not hurt her, if that's what you're asking. I'm merely trying to blaze my own trail within the Swarm. Surely, of all Cerebrates, you can understand my desire for individuality?"

    >WHAT IS THE STATUS ON THE PENDING INVASION FORCE?

Warbrate and Gorn report that forces are ready to Warp in, but that it's near-impossible to distinguish between which forces are Kerrigan's and Duran's. Clearly, the planet is embroiled in a Zerg Civil War, but we can't tell which side is which.

    Mindless drones.
I say Duran has raised a good point. Having two swarms, or now apparently three, leaves things too much out of our control.
Kill everything that isn't either Kerrigan or Duran themselves.

Foolish child, you know /nothing/ of us. We do as we will because that is our charge as directed by our father. We have no desire for individuality, that was simply a by-product of carrying out our duties.

Cease your clumsy attempts at manipulation and deliver to us our sister Kerrigan. She will be returned to us alive and unharmed.

Refuse us this simple request as we promise you will regret your individuality for a long, long time.

    >You didn't interfere then. Why would you, now?
"Because then, the Overmind gave its blessing to Kerrigan, and so we did not interfere in her path. You have no such protection."
    >Surely, of all Cerebrates, you can understand my desire for individuality?
"Understand it? Yes. Allow it? No.
"You exist because we allow it. And you will die because we demand it."

It's a shame. Ideologically, I'd be inclined to give Duran his freedom and control of a small brood of his own. More innovation can only be good for the greater Zerg cause.

But he fucked with our little sister and that just can't go unanswered.

Its really the only option... But at least we wont be losing anything irreplaceable in the process right? Making new strains just doesnt seem to be in Kerrigans style.

"It sounds like it's time for us to bring Kerri into the discussion. If we can negotiate a peace that everyone can agree upon, all the better."

And we get ready to purge the planet, but I will entertain the possibility that Duran is being upfront about things.

If we bring a Cloaklord into range of the planet, could we make contact with Kerrigan?
Or would that only allow Duran to suborn the Cloaklord psionically?

(Goddamnit, /tg/, I've got hiccups. Terrible hiccups. I haven't had hiccups in six months. I blame you guys. I don't know how you gave me hiccups, but I'm sure you're somehow to blame)

    "No."

Duran sounds perplexed. "No? That's all you have? What do you mean, no?"

"We mean no. While our differentiation from the Swarm was preordained by the Overmind, yours is unsanctioned. You are a rebel. You are an insurgent. You bring chaos to order. And you threaten our dearest sister."

Warbrate and Gorn bristle with anticipation. We may not know which side is which, but we know that one side or the other will suffer immensely and without mercy. We just need to be sure we're decimating the right army.

(Alright, these damn hiccups are unbearable, and I'm really, really drunk. Too drunk to narrate a proper planetary bombardment. I'll catch you kids the week after next. Be there, be square, or perhaps even be both at once!)

Great. Now we have to wait until next year to see Duran get his ass kicked.

    Son of a BITCH!

I've been trying to submit this for 40 minutes, and now 4Chan bothers to tell me it posted the first time?

Goddamnit. I'm going to go pass the fuck out, now.
