    Blood Potency 10 lets your vampire increase his stats to a maximum of 10.

    Speed is determined as Strength + Dexterity + Species Factor (5 in this case, can't be changed). The result is in yards (meters in metric) per turn, or roughly X feet per second.

    Maxed out, he's moving at 10 + 10 + 5, or 25 feet a second. Throw in a Fleet of Foot merit, and he's moving at 28 feet per second, already pretty damn fast at 19 miles per hour.

    Celerity and Forced March is where the magic happens. Normally you must spend a vitae EVERY TURN to use Celerity, which multiplies your speed by the level of Celerity you have, or 28 feet per second x 5, and Forced March lets you keep that speed up for hours x resilience.

    We have a vampire now that's moving at 140 feet a second, or 95.45 mph.

    Once we have all of our disciplines and devotions active, in order to hit max speed, we need to designate that our character is moving at twice his speed per turn. This means he moves his speed + his speed per turn.

    191 miles per hour (307.385 kilometers per hour).

    I havent played any WoD game for a long time but IIRC With 5 celerity 10 str and 10 dex he just could punch trough walls, and has no need for any kind of unarmed or melee skill to hit accurately. So he could grab enemy for its leg and smash him in cement wall 5 times per second, or rip out a lamp pole and beat him to the pulp in same amount of time. 10 dots is upper limit for any kind of stat, yes? Like for most powerful creatures in the world?

    Aw fuck. Still, 110 hours to circle the planet is still pretty damn good. Assuming his Resilience was lowered to 1 (It can't be, otherwise he wouldn't be able to take Forced March, but play along), he'd blow through 330 vitae to get around. With a Resilience of 5, he'd only need to spend 63 vitae, or about 9 mortal lives.

    I know changelings can help our Courier out, if he were to make a pledge with them. I believe the rules are that you can add +3 to speed by taking powerful pledges, (Though how many pledges a vampire can have at once, I have no clue), meaning that with double running and celerity it will add an extra 36 feet per second, or ~24.5 MPH (39.4 KPH). Not too shabby.

    If there is a token that can imitate the Oddbody contract, that's an extra +3 speed.

    Give me a second to get the info from the Acanthus player in my group - he combines Forces and Time to run around at ridiculous speeds on a regular basis, but I can never remember the exact numbers.

    Alright, that took a bit longer than expected.
    Base speed of 27 * 6 for celerity is speed 162. If you add that Changeling contract you're looking at speed 180.

    Now we add spells.

    Time 5 Acceleration does the same thing Celerity does, except it's 1 mana for a scene. So we're now up to speed 1080 if we've got one casting from a Time Master. Get a Disciple (or better) of Forces to cast Forces 3 Burst of Speed and you're now adding (successes*1080) to your speed of 1080 (if they stack multiplicatively, otherwise add successes*180 if they don't). There is no upper limit on this but it will burn through 1 mana per turn, so you're only going to be running arbitrarily fast for 3 seconds unless it's got an imbued item to draw from or something.

    The above assumes you can stack Celerity and spells on top of one another, as Mage is actually unclear on the subject.

    Isn't it obvious? The sleigh he pulls behind him doesn't carry any presents itself. What it does carry is a door, built into it. That door leads to the Hedge. The Changelings, in advance, set up caches of tokens and fae-gifts. Santa Vampire sprints from place to place, the changelings pop out of the door with the tokens and feed on the happiness produced, then Santa Vampire heads to the next cache, leaving behind some very satisfied Changelings.

    Santa Vampire obviously also feeds on the Changelings a little at a time, so throughout this whole experience, he's tripping more balls than the world has room for.

    The Time Mage is just in it for the good feel of giving out gifts to children.

    Lets go with the usual 10 strength, 10 dexterity and 5 human species factor to give our changeling a starting total of 25 yards per turn. Throw in a level 3 Fleet of Foot merit for a total of 28.

    Next we pick a Kith and Seeming. There are 5 that might work for us:

    If you want a consistant running speed:
    - Runnerswift Kith (+2 to speed, stacks with Fleet of Foot). An added consistent extra 1.36 MPH. Equinox rules grants another +2 at Wyrd 7, for a total of 2.72 MPH
    - Swimmerskins swim at full speed (An added 0 MPH, but higher maneuverability. Equinox grants Swimmerswifts +3 when swimming, for a gain of 2.04 MPH in the water.)
    - Windwings get 20 minutes of flight if you're using Equinox rules (2 minutes per Wyrd). Otherwise no extra speed gain.
    - Any Wizened if using Equinox rules, which adds +10 speed at Wyrd 10 (6.18 MPH)

    If you want to spend glamour for a substantial increase:
    - A Waterborn Elemental can spend glamour to swim at twice her speed for a scene, or three times if using Equinox rules (Though she must remain underwater during this time, she will begin to suffocate on the surface.)

    Contracts: An extra 15.98 MPH (and a x2 bonus) for spending 9 glamour a scene.

    Mirror 4 - Oddbody infers a speed bonus of +3 for a scene
    Cost: 1 Glamour.
    Gain: +3 Speed (3.04 MPH for 1 scene)

    Darkness 4 - Boon of the Scuttling Spider doesn't offer a speed bonus, but helps our Changeling maneuver by allowing him to run on walls and slippery surfaces with no penalties.
    Cost: A steep 3 Glamour.

    Fang and Talon 4 - Tread of the Swift Hooves - By choosing a running animal as your aspect the Changeling doubles her speed for one scene (Potentially until the next sunrise or sunset with an Exceptional Success.)

Our method of immortality shall be through a Blood Bather ritual, as delineated in pages 32-37 of World of Darkness: Immortals.     Sin Eaters are "bound" to their Geist, which is more like a blend between a spirit and a ghost. It's a ghost, because they definitely were human at one point, but it's also a spirit, because they come to embody aspects of death. It's likely - as likely as anything in nWoD can get - that a Geist is a ghost that consumed a spirit or vice versa.

    Through the union of mortal and Geist, the Sin Eater has all sorts of powers that don't quite fit any one category. The powers are unlocked with quasi-metaphorical "keys". There's Elemental Keys, the Stigmata Key, the Primeval Key and more. Which key you unlock your powers with flavors how those powers work. So, if you unlock the Marionette power with an elemental key, you can create little elemental homunculi. If you unlock it with the Stigmata key, you can instead raise zombies.

    Krampus itself is almost certainly an Ogre of some sort, but what kind of Seemings does it engender? Ogre, naturally - it's said to eat particularly naughty children. But, given that the children are taken BECAUSE they're naughty, they might become Darklings. It's also fairly bestial, and a durance in which you help Krampus hunt children might lean towards Beast. If, instead, you're forced into servitude, you might go Wizened...but it's not likely. Nor is Elemental, save for some associations with winter. Fairest is probably the LEAST likely.

    I actually really like Genius and really dislike Outsider. WoD's philosophy seems to be that of twisting old-school movie monsters into interesting play things that fit into the cosmology they created. Genius fits that. Outsider, on the other hand, while fitting the really nifty Lovecraftian cosmology, doesn't fit WoD's at all. I would never, ever run it as a WoD game simply because it doesn't fit at all. Mind you, I probably wouldn't include Genius either, but I would sooner include it than Outsider. It's the same reason I wouldn't include something awesome but terrible non-D&D in a D&D game - I would just use another system if I wanted to do that.

    And, somehow, Frosty the Snowman is a Promethen and Scrooge's Ghosts of Christmas are a pissed Geist Krewe..

    Can we fit other WoD beasties into this?
    I want to suggest that, while Changelings have the whole Presents thing down pat, they alone can't help Santa V. while he's in his yearly torpor. Perhaps he's protected by Reindeer Uratha, who guard against the malevolent spirits of Spite & Grinchiness?

    If it makes it any better, you could imagine them as people corrupted by things from the Abyss or the Lower Depths.

    Alternatively, if you want to imagine them as "B-Movie Monsters except well-thought-out and creepy", then take a look at any number of "Weird Alien shit is happening" B-Movies. Like The Crawling Eye. Tell me that shit isn't straight outta Arkham. Or Die, Monster, Die! Or Invasion of the Body Snatchers. Hell, even some of the things from the Quatermass series would work, though whether they're B-Movies is up for debate.

    Take cheesy old school alien invasion monsters, add Lovecraft, make them more personable, and you've got Outsiders, I suppose.

    I'd say they make more sense as Spirits. Actual, proper spirits, not geists.

    Now Jacob Marley, there's a geist in the making. Condemned by his life of avarice and greed, he should have known his evil deeds would put him in shackles. Now the Marley Geist hunts down other people who face the same fate it has, and tries to convince them to change their ways. If they're unredeemable, it'll make them suffer as it does.

    Oh, and while there was mention of a Hunter acting as the Grinch here, I reckon there's a bigger force at work. Beyond Santa Claus, the most important thing about Christmas is crass commercialisation. The Cheiron Group have got wind of this real-life Santa Claus and want in on the action, so they can monetize it properly. Cue Black Helicopters and Augmented Hunters trying to catch Santa Kindred while he's up and about before he goes back into hiding.

    Alternatively, some Long Night and Malleus Monstorum hunters decide that this vampire abomination has stolen the true meaning of Christmas: celebrating the birth of the baby Jesus. They aim to put a stop to this incessant gift-giving any way they can.

    Cool, Outsiderbro. I'm really glad you like Outsider and really disappointed that you don't like Genius - by the same token, I'm really disappointed that I don't like Outsider. The way I feel is that NEITHER of them have been twisted to fit WoD fluff enough, but Outsider fits even less than Genius. I think Outsider works better as playing cultists in one of the many legit Lovecraftian games rather than trying to shoehorn it into WoD.

    So I'm one of the guys still working on Outsider. And it's really cool to hear you say that. A few people just bitched about the whole idea, it's weirdly nice to hear that someone's disappointed. It means the premise is good, but the way we implemented it was less so. And that's fixable. Closer integration with the rest of nWoD is something we'd definitely be interested in looking at in the future, but our priority at the moment is finishing off the skeleton of the system. Once we do that, we can work out exactly how they fit.

    Of course, the core idea of the system won't change, but like anything in nWoD, we can provide any number of explanations for what's really going on.

    The more I think about it, the more it seems that the Changelings are at the centre of this. They're the ones who sneak into the bedrooms of children while they sleep and enter their brains to find out whether they've been good or bad, and if they've been good, exactly what presents they really, really want from Santa. They're the ones who take the mince pies and milk left out over night as part of a pledge that families inadvertently sign that means that Santa and his elves give gifts, the family give glamour and access to their dreams for the next year. They're the ones who kidnap high-ranking vampires to drain their blood to wake Santa from Torpor every year.     Well, it depends on the playstyle of the Genius in question. Introvert Inventor will probably stay on his basem- secret lab, making gadgets and stuff, but Active Archaeologist would probably go around the world and research stuff. What little gadgets they make are used to further their research (like perhaps a compass that points to their destination or things of interest). Something like that. Geniuses don't have to be the mad scientist cooped up in a lab or a secluded island somewhere, just as Vampires don't have to be Nosferatu-clones or Dracula-wannabes.

    Personally, I find the idea of a Spring Court conspiracy in the heart of Winter to spread joy and happiness throughout the world pretty heartwarming in itself.     Shanda knew Santa didn't deliver the presents in a van from the Boys & Girls Club she saw at the door a few days earlier, and that he sure as hell didn't employ a scrawny recovering druggie with a tanglewire goatee as one of his elves.

    Still, she played along. Mom wanted to believe in this stuff. Someone might as well be happy this time of year.

    Most of the loot was pretty good, actually - a new Barbie and some plushes with dorky-yet-kinda-cute smiles and stuff like that that mom'd never been able to afford before. But it was the one package without a body that stayed with her.

    It was wrapped without a box in a crinkly green parchment which smelled of fresh sawdust and maple leaves, with a bare tag tied around the end. Clearly whoever wrapped toy sword hadn't bothered to conceal it's shape or purpose. On the note on it ("To Shanda, braver than she knows") had any semblance of a traditional Christmas gift.

    Shanda peeled away the wrapping like the skin of a fruit, marveling at the craftsmanship on the pommel, which looked-for all the world-like the stem of some exotic flower. The blade was graceful, like a thistle's leaf, and, as she touched the blade, she could have swore she had a flash of some knight - her hair tied into a bun and her armor polished bright - charging boldly at some fearsome dragon.

    Shanda held the thing in wonder, feeling it like an extension of her hand, and, as she gave it an experimental swish, , caught sight of a second note, pinned to the tip.

    Plucking the note, she unfolded its neatly-folded creases, and read it aloud in spite of herelf.

    Spirits are animistic ethereal critters which dwell in the Spirit world and which preside over certain domains. Domains can be anything from Housecats to Paper to Lying to Consumption to Truth to Time.

    They're supposed to live in the Spirit World, and remain separate from our own. (the Spirit World, or Shadow, is kept apart from the phyisical world by way of a metaphysical barrier called the Gauntlet). Spirits are eternally tempted to cross over into our own world and raise mayhem (possess a human, and you've got all the tasty, tasty [PORTFOLIO-RELEVANT-PHENOMENA] here).

    Wereworlves, which are half-human and half-spirit (wolf spirit, to be exact) are the border patrol, and who keep the worlds separate.

    I still think having were-reindeer bodyguards who guard Santapire while he torpors is a good thing. If he's using that Fair Entrance Goblin Contract Onna Stick as much as I think he would, he'd need to have someone guard him from vengeful hunters or hungry spirits. Ooh! Spirits hunt him because he's such a powerfully ancient spiritual entity? The were-reindeer serve as guardians?

    Mortal populations have some particularly nasty and masquerade-risking vampires, so Taskforce goes in & nabs them. vamps of this power level don't go down easy, but some Changeling tokens help to even the field.

    Then, VALKARIE collects the blood from the vamps and pass it on to the Changelings.

    Mortals have one less malicious ubervamp to contend with, vampires get to keep their masquerade, and Santa gets to keep on ticking!

    Well, yeah, assuming our fastest Changeling (The Waterborn) had a straight shot (He doesn't, would have to swim around one of the Americas or the Panama Canal if he times it right). He's also only got 9 pumps of speed that he can use before he expends all his Glamour and has to recharge (Wyrd 10 grants you 100 glamour, 11 glamour per boost). Also keep in mind that scenes are malleable, inconsistant units of time, in the end it comes down to what the individual ST wants it to be.

    You're better off as a Dracula in terms of practicality, or just using the Hedge, whatever means are available

    I think, mechanically, the Elken-volk would work well if we were to have body-guards who share a connection to the spirit-world. Just ignore some of the /d/ style art.

    Mechanically, they work like this:
    "War-Beast: Strength +4, Stamina +4, Manipulation –2, Size 10, Health +9, Speed +9 (species factor 10), +1 to perception rolls

    Primal Beast: Strength +3, Stamina +3, Manipulation –3, Size 10, Health +8, Speed +8 (species factor 10), +1 to perception rolls"
