    Last thread: http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/16811852/

"I almost forgot. I managed to get a Mechagodzilla. It's... not exactly what you asked for, but close enough, right? And that's about it for your funding. Pack it up and get ready to ship out as soon as everyone's in place. The bomb arrives in an hour."

These are the words you hear as you prepare for your greatest challenge yet. As the crew of the Transpace Guard vessel "The Oncoming Storm", you have been charged with protecting a Rewriter Bomb to be placed the Tokyo of a world gone mad. Infested with S.U.E.s, beset by crossover after crossover, only the infamous and mysterious 'reality nuke' can repair this world before it collapses under the weight of its own bullshit, possibly dragging other worlds into the mire with it.

The forces you have massed for this battle are the following.

“Eh... Sorry, no dice on the high output transporter. This is what you're looking at so far I addition to your standing forces. You're almost out, but you've got enough for a few more mechs, troops, or a squadron of fighters.”

    Final Loadout:
    Crowe and his Brasta.
    Shin Getter Robo.
Amuro Ray in the Hi-Nu Gundam
    Kamille Bidan in Zeta
    Char Aznable in Hyaku Shiki.

ANON: "This may be a good time to detail the weapons upgrade you received on the Storm. First of all, the combination of the weapons and sensor upgrades allows the ship to fire at very long ranges, even extreme ranges with some of its more powerful guns. In addition to its original loadout of 4 long range precision laser batteries, the Storm now boasts 4 turreted Hellbore cannons, 3 University of Planet singularity lasers, 4 missile bays with anti-matter missiles, 6 large bore railguns, and a number of plasma batteries. It is also equipped with a point-defense laser system."

if we have any left over points, buy some more Mobile infantry, and then lets do this.

    Battle Plans anyone?
My suggestions is: Beam team of sandmen and imperials onto the Exec and a few other space faring vessels, use, as one anon suggested, aurors wrapped in disillusionment, have them ward the place to high heaven in muggle-reppeling charms, then deploy our forces

Alright. Briefing time with all of the Heroes.
    And is this right?
    >but you've got enough for a few more mechs, troops, or a squadron of fighters
Could we still get that squadron of Jedi starfighters?

    Here's the plan.
Tosh and Aurors are given RED-2, to keep them from dying.
    1. We transit to the setting approximately 10 lightyears from the Earth in order to get ready.
    2. The Indefatigable cloaks, and warps ahead of the fleet.
    3. Tosh and the Aurors beam/apparite onto the Death Star, and cloak/invisibility spell to avoid detection. Using ANON's technical readouts, they point-to-point transport or apparite and disable the power relays that feed energy to the Death Star's superlaser and its regular weapons. Retreat back to Inde once Death Star disabled.
    4. The fleet warps in, and while the cloaked ships move towards Earth and Tokyo, we broadcast that we are the organization 'A World With No Boundaries' and that we have placed nuclear weapons in London, Washington D.C., Paris, Hamburg, Moscow, Beijing, Kyoto, Lima, and Los Angeles.
    5. The fleet engages the US Space Navy, and the Inde will beam out the Executor's command staff, and beam aboard RED Team to secure the bridge followed by UNIT, Mouse, and junior bridge crew from the Relentless. They will seal the bridge and suborn the SSD.
    6. The Knights, Delta Green, Aurors, Star-Lord will secure a perimeter at the necessary coordinates.

    >>16821605
We still need to clear out 400 meter radius of all life in downtown Tokyo, and then hold that area while energy signals become increasingly "HEY! EVERYONE IN THE STAR SYSTEM! LOOK OVER HERE!".
Keeping them distracted will only get us as far as getting in place and getting setup. We need more plans to keep our people alive and accomplish the mission.
    >> Anonymous 11/02/11(Wed)20:21 No.16821656
    >>16821605
    7. Aurors set up anti-muggle charms at the edges of the perimeter, magical wards, and defenses.
    8. SCV's unloaded and set up the field generators, as well as bunkers and turrets as BLUE Team sets up inner defenses around the Bomb.
    9. Once locals have left or been beamed out, bring down the other dropships and then activate the cloaking field.
    10. Secure the orbital space, hold off the locals till the Bomb is ready.

Have the Mecha pilots stay in space to help with enemy capital ships.
The battlemechs are planet-side only so they should come down with the second wave of non-cloaked dropships.

Also, how about the idea of letting Mecha-Godzilla loose around Hiroshima, or Kyoto. Somewhere else so that Tokyo won't be looked at.

Japan, and especially the Tokyo area, uses a lot of natural gas.
Just have the Aurors conjure up that smell and put it on the wind, and all the locals will leave on their own, and they won't even raise a fuss about it.

Get a few people with either universal translators or who can speak Japanese to put on Tokyo Gas employee uniforms to yell into a megaphone and ask all residents to evacuate the area for their safety, and they won't even call the police, either.

Then do a final scan for anyone who stayed behind, keep up the smell of a gas leak around the surrounding area to keep people away, and we might be able to get all of our defenses erected before the SUE's notice the Bomb's energy signature.

As said before, why would a SUE bother with an every-day run-of-the-mill accident that probably won't even result in anyone going to the hospital or property damage, when there's a giant mecha-kaiju with nukes threatening the heart and soul of Japan?

    It's a combination:
Mouse and the Sandmen ASSUMING DIRECT CONTROL, the junior officers from the Relentless giving orders that sound enough like valid ones, and hoping that most of the Imperial crew is still aboard so that when Grand Admiral Gilad Pellaeon tells them to jump, they jump.
Also, all they need to do is prevent the Executor from being an effective weapon, and we can capture it by trapping it with our transit field, and then we can reprogram the crew at our leisure.

A hail of turbolaser blasts begins battering the cloaked Indefatigable's shields even as Tosh and the Aurors see security teams scramble within the Death Star. However, despite being tipped off, they are unable to locate the cloaked team and they manage to detonate the charges, shutting down power to most of the Death Star's weapons. The Storm ceases its fire on the planet and turns its guns on the foremost Zentraedi battleship even as its propulsion systems turn it around and begin to move away, forcing the enemy fleet to either give chase or allow themselves to be blown apart from outside their weapons range.

The singularity lasers themselves are invisible, they only clue to their presence is the massive energy readings they give off and the sudden ripple-like disappearance of huge chunks of the battleship. Moving in a continuous line, the lasers cause immense portions of the mile-long ship to collapse in upon themselves until at last the ship detonates in a fireball. Pellaeon raises an eyebrow.

"I did not... quite expect such firepower. But better to be safe than sorry. Gunners, target next vessel, please."

No, we shouldn't deploy the Bomb yet.

We still need to do Steps 6, 7, and 8.
I want the Indefatigable to confirm with sensor sweeps that all locals and contaminants are clear of the area. The Aurors set up wards that will warn if anyone attempts to enter the area while some of the SCV's set up missile turrets and bunkers, as well as creating road blocks so that no one enters the exclusion zone.
The other SCV's and MCV's should put up the cloaking field, interdiction field, reality field, and shield generator.
Star-Lord is to coordinate the Delta Green, SCP, and Knights Inductor squads, taking advantage of the bunkers being built.
And have the Al'Kesh, still cloaked, take up overwatch positions.

The Relentless lives up to its name, multiple turbolaser blasts tearing apart the lightly protected UNSC ships as its fighters and mechs launch.

    "Hi Nu Gundam, launching!"

    "Hyaku Shiki, launching!"

    "Kamille Bidan, Zeta Gundam! Launching!"

"Change Getter-1 Switch on! OPEN GATE!"

Another Zentraedi ship is torn apart by the Storm as TIE Fighters and battlepods stream from the remaining ships, meeting the Tie-Defenders and VF-25s from the Relentless. The mechs ignore them for now, focusing on bigger prey. Kamille fires his Hyper Mega Launcher at a Star Destroyer's shield generator as Char does the same with his Hyaku Shiki. The powerful weapons blow apart the protective devices, leaving the mighty vessel vulnerable for what happens next.

"Getter Tomahawk Boomerang!" Ryoma needless shouts over the comm as Shin Getter Robo charges the bridge of the doomed Star Destroyer and hacks at it with its gigantic axe. Without its shields, the weapon crashes into the ship, deeper and deeper as repeated blows ensure the destruction of the Destroyer's command center. The capital ship begins to spin out of control as the mechs search for new prey.

"Fin Funnel!" A storm of psychically controlled remotes flurries around a TIE squadron, bursting their spherical cockpits like bubbles.

Another Star Destroyer erupts into flame and then oblivion as the R-Types fire their wave cannons.

And through it all the VF-25s dance in and out of combat like arrowheads of doom.

The brutal starborn melee grows fiercer and fiercer as more and more fighters are launched. The space is swarming with TIEs and Battlepods, the sheer numbers of them pressing hard on the Relentless and its escorts...

As the sheer amount of starfighters seems about to inflict heavy casualties, Admiral Pellaeon calmly hits the comm and says two words.

    "Death Blossom."

Immediately the side panels of the lone Gunstar, which had been waiting patiently for this command, open up, revealing row on row of missiles and bombs. The fighter begins to spin rapidly, faster and faster before erupting into a shower of energy bolts, explosives, and general ordinance. TIEs, battlepods, and Tri-Fighters are ripped apart all the same under the destruction barrage. As the ship begins to spin down, barely a handful of the enemy fighters remain.

"Second wave assault and mop up," Pellaeon commands as the R-types pool their firepower to annihilate another Star-Destroyer, leaving only a single Zentraedi ship left. Pellaeon turns to you.

"They will undoubtedly send a second attack group after us with the Executor at its head. But this maneuver has set them back a long way."

Meanwhile on Earth, Mechagodzilla's eye beams trace across the tank battalion, melting them all down into pools of metal as their cannon rounds explode on its space-titanium armor with little more than scratches. The AT-STs and Gundams fare little better, though the particle beam weapons of the Gundams manage to cause some superficial damage. The various troopers fire rockets, explosives, and heavy beam weapons which don't seem to do anything at all as Mecha-Godzilla's eye beams reduce platoons of them to ash at once while its chest cannon cuts apart several Gundams in one swipe. The fearsome weapon lives up to its reputation as it massacres the task force sent to stop it. The strange SUE troopers leap stories into the air with energized super katanas and nodachis... only to run smack into the Reality Emitter field. Their technology begins to short out just as they reach the height of their impossible leaps, falling back down to the ground like a rain of stupid. They leave many bloody craters in the asphalt as they impact the road, though a few land on Mecha-Godzilla and fruitlessly begin stabbing him with no-longer overpowered weapons.

The Aurors report the muggle wards are complete and have begun work on the magic defenses. The Leopard lands safely, disgorging its cargo who immediately begin to set up the field generators.

MechaGodzilla immediately fires its eyebeams, blowing one of the Veritechs out of the sky as the others bank out of the way. The squadron of bizarre Veritechs unleash a barrage of missiles against MechaGodzilla, then promptly pull up. Contact is temporarily lost as a nuclear fireball consumes the gigantic robot, a mushroom cloud forming as the Veritechs fly to a safe distance and begin to circle.

The impact and cloud is felt even at the bomb site, the Marines hastily reporting in the disturbance even though you caught it with the Storm's sensors.

For a moment, there is nothing but smoke and static. Then a hissing roar of anger as a battered and damaged MechaGozilla pulls itself to its feet once more and unleashes another wave of destructive energy on the fliers.

Now, we've got to neutralize the Executor quickly, before it can bring its massive turbolaser batteries to bear.
As we go to Step 8, rather than beaming the bridge crew onto the Inde after taking them all down with beamed aboard stun grenades, it might be easier to just have them all tied up and kept stunned. As long as Mouse and the Sandmen can gain control of the power system, they can deny power to the turbolasers and therefore take the Executor out of the fight.

This also frees up the Inde to do what Federation ships do best; hax telebomb dickery.
Send photon torpedoes into the bridges of the Star Destroyers, that should take them out of the fight.
Then do the same to the Nazca's.

The Overlord begins to move towards the bomb site as the SCVs finish setting up the shield and interdict generators. They immediately begin to set up a ring of turrets as the M.C.V.s finish unpacking and request build orders.

One of Mecha-Godzilla's arms is torn off as the Evangelion charges once more and begins to grapple with the giant machine, ripping and tearing both with its claws and a large vibroblade it produces. The Valkyries hold their fire and begin to shift to Battloid mode as the Guncannons fire with their beam rifles. Several of M-G's systems begin to approach critical levels.

Staggering back from the loss of its arm, Mecha-Godzilla issues another hissing roar as it lashes out with lightning speed, grabbing the Evangelion by its long neck. Its eye beams flare to life, directed squarely at the EVA-unit's head, while its chest cannon fires point blank into the cyber-monster's torso. The EVA's AT-field simply cannot handle that much punishment and again it shatters, the monster burning away with an outraged howl. Two more beams strike its backside, but the mecha shifts so that they fall on armor. Mecha Godzilla's head begins to spin rapidly around as a force field wraps around it. The Valkyries and Guncannons open fire on it, but their attacks are deflected. The two Guncannons draw beam sabers and close to melee, but they run into a nasty surprise when they contact the field and it melts away their armor. Now at close range, Mecha-Godzilla dispels the field and fires point blank into both Guncannons with its beam weapons. Already damage,d both mechas detonate.

While the fleet has the attention of the enemy, the Inde beams over Tosh, the Sandmen, and the Red Team (with an Uber charge), all equipped with Ysalamir to protect them from the Force-user. They kill the SUE, take the bridge, and shut down the Executor's turbobatteries.

The RED team immediately vanishes first, acting as a vanguard while the others step up five by five. Tosh's live-feed goes active shortly before he transports over.

The stormtrooper guards fare far better, their armor proof against the primitive slugthrowers... but NOT proof against rockets and grenades. They explode into showers of gore.

The RED Team and Spike are the only ones who can fight in melee. The RED Team have the advantage of the Medic and of being able to respawn, so they should take the brunt of the melee charge.

    rolled 43 = 43

Demoman draws his Eyelander, but is too slow as Vader slices his head off with his lightsaber, spinning around to do the same to Heavy. The UNIT troopers open fire with their energy weapons, getting off a few well aimed shots that fell some of the enemy before they can close. Then things get chaotic. The energy blades of the saber troopers slice deeply into the Mobile Infantry suits, but the Medic is right there to heal them. The M.I. fire their phasers, unable to use their heavy weapons for fear of hitting their comrades in the melee. Scout is torn apart next with a strangled yelp as several of the UNIT soldiers are wounded and two die, their power armor preventing greatly casualties.

One of the sabertroopers falls back with a pickaxe lodged in her brain as Soldier screams his warcry.

Spike fires his handgun only to watch the bullets bounce off the trooper armor. He scowls and looks over to one of the Sandmen communing with the computers. "Give me that!" he yells as he grabs the soldier's Mass Rifle from him and opens fire, tearing apart a trooper that gets too close.

Tosh coolly fires a gauss burst that decapitates another sabertrooper before another knocks his gun from his hands, half-leaping back, he produces his balisong with a smooth motion and proceeds to jam it into the female soldier's neck.

More soldiers rush down the hallway to reach the bridge, but the M.I. step forward and hose the area with their heavy flamers, a risky but effective move as several of the reinforcements die and the rest retreat.

With most of his minions slain, Darth Vader is the last to fall. First a plasma bolt pierces him and he stumbles. Soldier rushes in with his pickaxe to finish the deed, but Vader suddenly stands, slicing him in two. A sentry turret burst strikes his chest plate and his life support machinery begins to spark and fail as he stumbles back. The UNIT soldiers press the attack, melting off his Sith armor as Vader swiftly finds that without plot armor, SUE energy, or the Dark Side to sustain him, he's just a badly injured middle aged man that needs a respirator. With his last ounce of strength he tears his helmet and mask off to look around with hazy, clouded eyes...

...only to have his head explode in a fountain of blood.

    Next part of the plan:
Hit Washington D.C. from orbit with blasts centered in the Whitehouse and the Pentagon. Send another blast at Mt. Cheyenne.
    Broadcast our decoy message.
"Even now, all across your world, forces are moving into position. London, Paris, Washington, New York, Moscow, Beijing, Kyoto; all will feel the ending of your old world order, as borders are erased. We shall reset everything back to zero, and so create A World With No Boundaries!"
Space forces secure space. Keep scanning the ground around the bomb, in case any S.U.E.s arrive.
Most of our ground forces - including the mechs, gundams, and artillery - should be on the ground around our bombsite.
Keep the Aurors working on those anti-muggle charms.
Get the X-com troops over to the bridge of the Executor. Nothing like a little mind control for disposable scouting, and nothing like a Blaster launcher to completely fuck anyone fighting inside a space ship. They've boarded and wrecked ships like this before, they should be right at home.

Do we have any forces for further distractions around the globe? Making people think New York and London are actually under attack will likely draw forces away from Tokyo.
    >> OP 11/03/11(Thu)17:54 No.16830326

If you are doing this, are you aiming to actually blow these things up or to minimize casualties?

Also, the X-COM troops are with the rest of the ground forces at the bomb site. However, between the cloaking field and the distractions, it should be at least a few minutes before they are attacked. You have a small amount of time to shuffle your forces around.

On the Executor is RED team, the Mobile Infantry, Spike, Tosh, Mouse, the Sandmen, and UNIT. The Sandmen and Mouse cannot leave the ship.

All your ships sans the dropships are in orbit. The R-Types, VFs, Gunstar, Tie-Ds, Gundams and X-wings which I forgot to mention are with the fleet along with Shin Getter and Brasta.

    >>16830326
X-com troops are already deployed at the site? Best to leave them there, then.
I'm not even sure a distraction at other parts of the globe is a good idea, so cancel that for now.
The goal with the Whitehouse, Pentagon and Mt. Cheyenne is to blow them so far to shit that nothing is alive in the wreckage.
Keep all Space-capable forces in space for now. That second fleet is likely to give us a shit-ton of trouble.

But yes, go ahead with the Terrorist message targetting major cities worldwide.

Some of those casualties in those places may be important people. It might not bode well for the canon if some of those people are missing or dead.

Although, it's very likely that any important leadership/staff in those countries have already evacuated to bunkers and/or safe zones that are far away from our target locations. If that's so, we're looking at a skeleton crew and any stubborn leaders who refuse to be intimidated by terrorist threats to the point of idiocy (i.e. SUEs).
