    >I'm not wearing it. And that is final.

    >>Why not?! Look, we have to dress appropriately.

    >I know, but the leather armor looks fine!

You've been in this room in our newly bought home, arguing for hours with Dio.

    >>It's a fancy dinner, commemorating the great find and contribution your friend has made to the Orc kingdom. he asked for us to be there.

    >I know that, but I barely know how to wear half of that fancy crap!

Naturally, Dio has some concerns dressing his gender - or even as a male in good clothing.

    >>He says there's a citizenry in it for us!

    >I don't care!

Sometimes you forget his (her?) age, as he (she?) paces the room in a slip and bloomers.

Yes. Poofy. It's a large, ball gown. Deep, rusty red, with a small ruby set right between where her breasts would be, were she a bit older. A neckline that ends under her jaw. Long sleeves, and elbow gloves. Good shoes and stockings, too, with a proper garter belt.

If the rebels do attack, BG will attack them. No way Dio will attack BG, unless we Mind-rape him into doing it. Which will probably cause him to turn on us later.

I really hope the rebels are subtle about their attack. If it is wide and in the open, things will go bad. Hopefully they just poison the food like all good rebels.

The carriage stops, and we step out. The air is fresh, here - clean. Dio spends a few moments brushing herself off, and follows Big Green towards the entrance.

We step inside, to look upon an incredibly opulent room. Tables here and there set out a variety of foods, human servers hand out small glasses of sparkling drink. And everyone - regardless of race - is well-dressed. Orcs seem to prefer military dress for the men and sleek dresses for the women that hug to the body.

Ok. Judgement call time. If we take this land, then we are a step up on our goals. Then we can manipulate everybody behind the scenes. Nobody expects the cute little girl who wants to do the best for her people.
On the other hand, if we take up the rebel cause, we will end up in an army, and even if we overthrow the orcs, there is no guarantee that we won't be uncontested for the throne, thus causing more trouble.

What if it isn't a countdown? What if it is a number to beat via roll, or not to beat, in order to cause some event? It goes down until we get more than the specified number, maybe? That would explain the rolling. I don't know if it is better not beating it, or beating it though...

Thoughts I guess. The number did start quite high, and has fallen by increments of ten recently. So I think it is a die roll to beat.

GENTLEMEN! Now would be the time to attempt to create ourselves a body. I mean, c'mon Dio can't really hope to fight him can she?

The man lunges again, and Dio points your handle as his arm rises to bring down the deathstroke. Green is just a little too slow. But you... aren't.

The arm flies off at an odd angle, and then the Gavel swings around, slamming into his side and sending him flying. But the blood doesn't flow - He stands, without issue, one-armed. So does Dio, who opens a slit in her dress with Xaver.

Dio lunges forth, the man holding up an honest defense, growling angrily... And then his mask is torn away by a near miss.

Nothing. No jaw. No teeth. Just a gap, like the head is supported by a tentacle of a spine.

Dio his frozen, but Green steps forth, his weapon slamming into the... man's chest, the sound of cracking bones peircing the air as he staggers back, blood briefly leaking from his body.

    Wool.

    Wool is organic.

    We rusted the dress off.

    Dio will not be pleased.

    >>16751068
All the excuses in the world won't help if the magic-fearing crusader learns that we're a dread blade that turned his charge female against his/her will. That's textbook corruption right there. Gavel probably won't even argue on our behalf, the self-righteous fuck.

We gave Dio some serious self-image issues, especially related to bodily exposure. Keeping her from getting pissed or going batshit may just take some EGO.

Dio closes the distance with speed, grunting as her arm is opened by one of the blades, a long red line - but the attack costs him as the blade slides into his chest and through his heart. You feel it pierce, deep - and then the man vanishes completely.

And Dio realizes she's wearing a slip and bloomers, covering herself and falling into a crouch with a wail.

The swords are out of range.

Green takes charge, the green and red cloak falling over her body.

"We must go to your home." he says. "I'll bind that wound."

We make our way back, and Dio is treated with care.
