Sorry bout missing the game last night, internet provider thought i didn't pay them, its all resolved now.

    latest thread is here http://suptg.thisisnotatrueending.com/archive/16572797/

last time. we found out who was causing the rampant banditry in our lands, it was lord criin's son, he tried bringing the wrath of stark down on us, but it failed and he got decapitated.

Lady Criin is now master of the Criin estate alongside her husband Edward Frey their lands are in the process of being broken up, but they still control a sizeable amount of land.

We also sent Dina up to Winterfell to bro it up, though from the letter it seems that Catelyn may have went behind Ned's back for this.

    >> Anonymous 10/11/11(Tue)19:17 No.16594910
Keep mining the granite, iron, and perhaps a little bit of mining silver.
We if we mine out the rare resources then it will give our enemies all the more reason to strike us as we basically did a hard job for them.
    >> Lone Maester !WEQrEleOpo 10/11/11(Tue)19:19 No.16594932

The Granite Mine would cut down on building stone towers by 50 dragons, and the building of futrure stone castles/keeps by 500 (down to 2500 /1500)

The Gold mine costs 500 and could be used to trade to several large families for other benefits/kept to be used as a bargining tool

Silver would be 400 and would be the same as above

Pitch is used to turn usually nonflammable stuff flammable and to waterproof objects and would cost 450

Coal would be 300 and allow for the production of steel objects

currently you have a market, but no blacksmith (costs 350)

Call to the kitchen, have them bring up cheese, bread, sausages, and wine. We will wait outside with Measter Herla and shoot the shit while we await Archmaester Merwyn.

Maybe the smell of food will entice the Mage to take a break and speak with us.

You know I feel as if we should give a good burial for all the troops that died today.

Depending on our available funds, I would suggest sending some money to the families.

Morning comes and you awaken by Maester Herla

"hurry my lord, Maester Merwyn is waiting in the Hall to talk to you" Herla says impatiently, pacing around the room as you get ready.

you finally get down to the Great Hall, Herla running in front of you, as you walk into it you see Herla standing next to a wizened old man, who walks over to you and offers you his hand. "I'm Maester Merwyn" he intones dryly "I read your letter personally...and i must have seen this for myself."

he hobbles over to the table and sits down motioning for you and Herla to join him. Just then your wife, with a ripening belly comes out of the kitchen with a large loaf of hot honey bread and sits it down on the table in between you three and sits down next to you.

"So what is i Merwyn" she says " whats wrong with my boy?" she asks frantically.

"well...dear lady" he starts eyeing the honey bread "it seems that your son has the greenseer gift." he coughs slightly looking at you two

"Greenseer?" you say incredulously "but those are just fables and myths!"

"heh, not so...back in the old days, before the wall was built people far more north travelled quite often down her to raid, plunder or to even settle Westeros, they brought with them the godswoods and Greenseers, who could communicate with nature so to say, i thought it was lost until you wrote to the citadel, and i just had to see it for myself.

Although you will have to maintain their religious burial practises. I don't know in particular how the Ironborn prefer to be buried for example.

A Greenseer? My word! What does this mean for his madness? Will he regain himself soon?

    Breakfast! Whatever Maester Merwyn wishes!

"well is there anyway to cure him of his rantings?" Karyn asks

"mmm no it doesnt seem like its curable, but Calum is still in there, hes just trying to cope with all this new information hes recieving, most greenseers of old were born with this extra sense or acquired it quite early. i wouldn't be surprised if calum would come around by the end of this year." he says "I would like to know more about your family though Lord Strongcock and Lady Karyn, maybe something in your past could've caused this to happen."

Give him access to research our lineage. Tell Herla to give him our books. Tell him that the Starks have a much bigger library and they are only up the road if he needs to check out more shit on Greenseers.

Have Maester Herla bring down the books and scrolls of both Skylar and Karyn's families. Anything we have that can help Marwyn find a way to help Calum is at his fingertips.

"Enough of this talk of greenseers and everything for the moment." your wife says, "Breakfest is almost ready we got my moose sausages almost ready along with bacon, fruit and griddle cakes. Maester Merwyn eat all you can, i won't let my guests starve on my watch." she says with an indignant look in her eye.

over the course of breakfest Merwyn talks about his various travels across Westeros and beyond the Free Cities, he talked of Atraphor, of the slave cities, and of the Dothraki and their nomadic ways.

"now, if you'll excuse me" he says standing up from the table, "I need to go see how Calum is doing."

"I must go see to the burial of the men in the last battle." you say standing up also

you get an approving look from Merwyn "its always good to show your enemies respect, you never know when it will come back for you

"Also Merwyn, it would be an honor if you could say a few words at the burial for the men." you ask

he thinks a moment "very well, i will come say a few words

you finish burying the dead just as Maester Merwyn appears he approaches the grave site

"I Did not know these men, but Lord Skylar deemed them honorable enough to be buried, so i will say a few words on their behalf. These men were brave warriors and fathers, they didn't shrik when death looked them in the eye , may they find peace wherever they go."

and with that everyone stands there in a reverent manner until Merwyn leaves, and then follows suits
