!2he8cbHXgM 09/24/11(Sat)20:45 No.16413302”Very well. I will test my luck. Let us take your words to the test.” She steps up to it, and smiles. „Judging from what you said, I guess not much of this form will remain. So this might be goodbye." She embraces the black figure, the flesh cool and pliant under her touch. „I'm glad I got to meet you." It looks befuddled, but returns the hug. „Thank you for your kindness, Breaker. Do not worry, whatever I shall become, I will remember this.” Akasha pulls away, lowers herself to one knee, takes off the Gauntlet, and grabs the nail with her left hand. She looks up, the words appearing in her mind. „Become my strong arm, my shield, my hammer. I name you... Khasi.” The creature shivers, it’s flesh roiling, and the nail feels like a hot brand, a stream of white fire flowing through it up the girl’s hand. She cries out in pain just as the shade does as well.
It bursts into a torrent of black strands, clouding her vision for a few moments. As it passes, she sees a woman, a few years older than her, her hair in a black braid that hangs to her ankles, her slanted eyes the colour of a glacier, her skin like bronze. Furrs cover her shoulders, the loose crimson tunic underneath reaching to her tighs. On a frayed rope belt, a naked blade, heavy, wide and curved. She smiles, bowing slightly with a hand in front of her heart. „Thank you Mistress. I am Khasi, guardian of travellers, the sentinel of crossroads. Order me as you see fit.” The girl fumbles for words. „I, I wish you to right that statue.” Khasi bows again. „Yes, Mistress.” She steps up to the stone, wraps her arms around it, and lifts it back into place with nary a sound or effort. „What shall be my next task, Mistress?” |
