Your meeting with Management bore some fruit:
    - You convinced them it's in the best interest of the park to provide chainmail to its Maintenance workers. And it's not coming out of the Maintenance budget.
    - Your suggestion of hiring a doctor was taken into consideration, and a clinic was set up in the Iguanadon Inn, capable of treating serious injuries, though not capable of treating things requiring delicate surgery.
    - Your date with the receptionist went well, though it was hardly perfect. She enjoyed it though, and wants to do it again soon.
    - Your talks with Management about training dinosaurs was met with scorn, and you were very nearly demoted for suggesting it. Luckily, your suggestion never reached Muldoon.
    - After Jacob returned from the hospital, bragging about a new scar, you talked to him about getting military surplus gear smuggled onto the island. He was hesitant, but after what happened on the river, decided it was a good move, and gave you contact information to someone who might help.
    >> Emergency Chair Warmer 09/22/11(Thu)16:18 No.16388652
Under your watch, your Maintenance crews started doing drills and target practice. As a result, they are much more organized and capable of defending themselves from dino attacks. Because of this, you have gained the department's complete loyalty.

In addition, due to interacting with your subordinates so much, you are now fluent in Spanish.

That's great, we can finally talk with the guys in our department without a translator.

Also, I'd like to talk with the DRT guys a bit, ask them about things that'll keep dinos away. Pass it off as us just looking out for our people, and wanting to pass on things to do if they're ever in a jam.
What we're really fishing for, is what kind of stuff will work on dinos. Like, tear gas grenades: will they work against a raptor? What about red-light flashlights: will the red-light be extra visible to dino vision or not. Pepper spray: can it be used to keep a dino away?

That'll lead to stuff that our Army surplus contact could supply us with. We're looking for mostly legal stuff right now. Things like tactical holsters for our dart guns, laser aiming modules and tactical flashlight attachments for pistols and rifles.

Most of the time, our workers won't need that stuff. But anytime they go into a predator dino area, they go in armed better than a DRT.

The parts came in a couple weeks after your foray into the raptor pen. Afterwards it was one month of concentrated maintenance work to get the geothermal plant up and running.

Are you going to keep the hydro plant operational?

    >>16388703

The DRT crews are happy to answer your questions.
    - Pepper spray and tear gas do work against raptors
    - Red light is less visible than white light.

    >>16388734

The fences are patched up completely, there are some minor holes due to compys, but your crews are working on re-laying fencing to a yard under the ground. That's still in progress though.

The father attempted to sue InGen, and you in particular, for physical and mental damage, but he was laughed out of court, especially after records of his bribery attempt were listened to.

We are buying a micro-tape recorder. And a mountain of spare batteries and tapes. And a clip-on mic that we can hide under our collar. We are to be prepared to record ANYTHING and EVERYTHING.
Also, tell our Maintenance guys about this. If a guest is giving them crap, make sure to record it all, discretely, and let us know. It can save their asses.

Bring it offline but ready to be activated within an hour. Given how delicate the wind turbines seem to be, we should keep the hydro plant ready to be turned on when needed. We will go to check on it every other week to make sure that it's in working condition and no problems crop up. Also, we can use it as one of our hidden weapon caches.

Even though you took the old hydro plant offline, you still perform routine maintenance on it to keep it in working order.

(Are we ready to begin, or was there anything else?)
    >> Anonymous 09/22/11(Thu)17:08 No.16389006
So our additional actions seem to be:
Buy surplus US Army flashlights with red-light lenses, some laser aiming modules and tactical flashlight rigs for the dart rifles, in small quantities, so that people will get used to us receiving surplus military supplies. That will make it easier to smuggle in disassembled weapons hidden amongst our shipments when we actually buy them.

Take the hydro plant offline, but keep it ready to be reactivated quickly. Personally inspect it every other week, as a cover for using it as our hidden weapons cache.

Buy a micro-tape recorder to record stupid guests incriminating themselves.

You contact Jacob's friend and he's willing to sell you everything except heavy weaponry. You have no problem buying the stuff you want and the shipment was received with the geothermal plant supplies.

In addition, you take advantage of the park's package system to get a microrecorder sent to you. It's a bit extra shipping/handling, but well worth it to get it so early.

You have to replace the wire connecting the camera to the ground hub. Climbing up and replacing the connection is easy, digging the ground hub up and connecting it there takes a little more time. But you get the job done in about 10 minutes.

Okay, let's go to the next camera.
If there's another pile of steaks, we radio Dispatch and tell him something funny is going on, and maybe Biosyn wants to raise the stakes a little with some more direct action.

Also, use our PDA to have another work team begin repairing the cameras on the other side of the island.
    >> Anonymous 09/22/11(Thu)20:57 No.16391004
    >>16390975
Definitely this. It'll take forever for us to mend all the wires on our own. Let's call in another repair team or two to start with the cameras on the other side of the island and work their way towards us.
    >> Emergency Chair Warmer 09/22/11(Thu)20:59 No.16391028
Alright, your PDA logs 25 work orders around the perimeter of the island, 2 of which were not there when you left.

The next one is up the road north a ways.

Send seven teams. We'll have two of them each take a cardinal point of the island and head off around the perimeter of the island so that they meet up in the gaps between each point.

The seventh, we send to our location and they work away from us in the opposite direction. This way we can get things done quickly and then tackle the root of the problem.
