You are a strange creature, capable of taking over other lifeforms to serve as your vessel. Your current host, Jack Winters, was unbeknownst to you a drug addict, and overdosed on speedball. To survive, you bonded with him, but this damaged you, leaving you separated from the bodysnatcher command structure. An individual by accident, you are hunted by the cyborg aliens, the forces guided by the illuminati called the Wise, and your own kin.

After a quick talk with Fadil, where he confided that the organisation governed by the Wise is likely compromised by the Fools, you had the opportunity to test out the weaponry you requested, and ask the tech experts assigned to help you for some other things as well.

    Your known abilities are:
    - reinforcing your muscle and bone tissue, making you several times stronger, faster and tougher
    - growing weapons from your arms, limited to one on each arm in any combination:a hooked, double edged blade on your forearm, claws, a spike that springs out from your wrist underneath your palm or launchable bone spikes
    - hardening your skin into thick, segmented bone plate armor resistant to heat and energy weapons, and growing a membrane under your skin, that contains fluid that hardens on impact
    - absorbing ingested organic material, that you can use to increase muscle and bone density(animal tissue is the most effective)
    - the ability to call forth your host's memories, skills and knowledge
    - altering your appearance, includin skin\hair\eye colour, facial features, height, build, and gender, though the more elaborate the change is, the more time and effort it takes.
    - producing almost any kind of drug, poison or acid in liquid form, including sedatives, that you can deliver either at high pressure from an opening that can be created anywhere on your body, or through the wristspike.
    - emitting pheromones that influence humans
    - sensing the mind-link of bodysnatchers
    - enhanced senses, capable of switching to different spectrums (infravision, ultrasound, noise filtering, etc.)
    - fiber-optic nervous system, allowing you to ignore pain to some extent, and speeding up your reflexes by orders of magnitude
    - a pair of leathery wings growing from your shoulder blades, with a bio-fuel fed jet system underneath it, allowing you extremely fast aerial movement
    - superhuman sense of balance
    - four combat tentacles

    Mutations:
    -Perfect Predator
Noise-level sense, body better optimised for stealth, invisible to digital sensors and leaves no scent
    -Monstrous Strength
Increased strength, speed, and leaping distance

ou wake from relaxing dreams, sunlight streaming in through the windows. You can hear the shower running, and extending your senses, come to the conclusion that Cath snuck out whithout disturbing you. Daisy is explaining something very seriously to Doctor Scruffles in the hall, and Kellery seems to have left the floor.

A phone rings on a night stand by you, and you fumble around for it, still half-asleep. "Uh, Jack?" You mumble something offensive about his parents. "Not a morning person, huh. This is Richard. The word is that the bodysnatchers will be in range in approximately two hours. We move out half an hour before that. Try not to be late man, it would be embarrassing." He laughs, and you slam the reciever back in place with irritation.

I believe the plan is that the Wise's forces do most of the fighting, we wait for the target to reveal itself, get dropped into the middle of it, take out the leader, then mop up the rest.

We're geared more towards fast hit-and-run tactics rather than a long drawn-out brawl with out mutations/adaptations, so it sounds like the best plan to me.

You get up, the urge to smoke appearing out of nowwhere again. One of these days you really should get a pack. Stretching your muscles a bit, you start to head to the bathroom to at least wash your face, when the phone rings again. You stomp back to it, snatch up the reciever, and bark into it. "What."

A startled, somewhat familiar voice answers. "Uh, it's, uhm, Michael Ursson? From R&D? I helped you with your gear last night? If this is a bad time..." You sigh, then, with a more polite, level voice, say "No, no problem. What's the problem, Michael?" "No problem, just thought I'd let you know that the stuff we talked about last night is ready. The visor, and stuff. If you want to check it out, Lee and I are at the shooting range."

"Yeah, I'll be down soon. See you there." You hang up, and walk over to the bathroom. Cath comes out draped in a towel, which seem more for modesty's sake than actually dying herself, as you can see that her skin and hair has a water repellant layer. Before she can say anything, you rush past her, and say "We've got two hours until the fireworks start. I still need to gear up, so I'm in a bit of a hurry." You take a quick cathbath in the sink, find a clean grey shirt and pair of jeans from one of the duffel bags you packed Jack's things in, and head out.

She's already dressed in a red tank top and black cargo shorts when you get back out, apparently preparing some breakfeast for herself. You give her a qucik kiss on the top of her head, saying "I'll be back as soon as I can." You get a strange feeling as you do, and as she turns around, you can see that her eyes turned back into their obviously metallic state. "Very well. We will meet at the helicopter pad on the roof. Do not be late." The waves of cold nausea hit you, and you force a grin. "Wouldn't miss it for anything." You practically flee to the elveator, relaxing only when it has already halfway to your destination.

He destroyed his mind willingly with that overdose.... but I suppose if he hadn't we still would've consumed his consciousness anyways. So when you put it like that, yes, we are a bit of a bastard.

Still, keeping up the charade is still for our best interests, it makes us look like better allies towards the Wise, and I'd hate to think how Cath would react if she learned that Jack, really her only connection to her former, normal life, is gone for good. I think she'd give up trying to supress her darker alter ego altogether, and we'd have a bit of a problem on our hands in that case.

We give her something to fight for, something to hang on to. It's the least we can do after all the shit that's happened to her so far.

Stepping out of the elevator, you compose yourself, and head to the range, your steps showing confidence. The door is open, and the two men are already waiting for you. "Good morning Jack, I mean Winters, I mean Mister Winters, sir, uhm." The taller one, Lee, nudges the nervous little man with an elbow, and he adjusts his glasses, then point at a table with a large device on it. It's a visor or goggle of sorts, attached to a large, padded headband. "We rigged this gem up for you. Took us all night, but damn if it isn't our best work." He straightens, looking very proud, and you notice the bags under their eyes. "So. What's it do?" you ask.

"Well. It's connected to our main network with a sattelite connection, and a pretty strong one to boot. The left visor shows general tactical display, including our troop disposition, the locations of confirmed hostiles. It also has live access to a spy sattelite diverted to have full coverege of the battlefield, and is uploaded with floor plans for every building in the city. The right screen acts as a Heads Up Display, with identification, schematics and statistics for every weapon and vehicle in the Wise database. It counts your and your enemy's weapon's shots, has a smart link that shows the estimated trajectories of your shots. Oh, and we put target painters in both guns you asked for, and the visor as well. You can call down precise airstrikes, crusie missile strikes and LEDS drops."

    >>15927341

Will we really need all this stuff for this one mission though? I mean, we do have a super-advanced fiber-optic sensory system already built in so I'm not sure how useful the HUD is going to be. Calling in airstrikes might be somewhat useful, but we're focusing on single targets in this fight, not taking out an entire army on our lonesome. I still think it'd be better to lay off the heavy tech for this fight.

"Huh. Cool. Thanks guys." "Oh, don't mention it. One more thing. We know that you have enhanced reflexes and reaction speed, so if you'd give us a minute, we could calibrate it to you." They both look expectantly at you. "I guess there's no harm in that." The next two minutes are spent looking through the visor, telling them when the speed is comfortable for you.

"Let me try something." You concentrate, and can feel bone and muscles shifting, nerves growing. Soon, you have a pair of new, widely spaced eyes on your brow that increase your peripheral vision. The two men stare at you with slackjawed expressions. "That... was awesome!" "Okay guys, shows over. Thanks for the gear again." You give them a wave, take off the visor, and walk back to the elevator, heading back to the suit.

Daisy is waiting for you, shoving a pile of black clothes in your hands as soon as the door open. "They left this for you, said that you should wear it." It's the Cannes Belli uniform, but instead of the unit designation, there is a white patch on it's left breast that someone doodled a surprisingly good Xenomorph on with magic marker. Cute.

Well not much to do now other than wait for the mission to begin. Maybe play around with the gear in the meantime, get more aquainted with it before we use it for real.

Also, lose the extra eyes while we're not using the visor, we save the weird shit for when we're fighting, right now while we're around a bunch of other humans supposed to be allied with us, the more human WE appear, the more it'll engender ourselves towards their favor, I think.

You dismiss the eyes, and head into your room, qucikly changing clothes. After getting the uniform on, you heat up some of the meat that they stocked the kitchen fridge up with, and wolf it down. Checking the clock on the wall, you see that you have half an hour left, and spend ten minutes digesting your meal, slumping lazily in an armchair in the lobby.

When you get up to leave, you see Daisy standing in one of the doorways, her cat by her side. You walk up to her, and give her your best smile. "Don't worry kiddo, we'll come back in one piece." "Promise?" "Promise." You rustle her hair, and she puls away giggling. "Don't worry boss, I'll take care of her while you're gone." You exchange a serious nod with Doctor Scruflles, and take the elevator up to the roof.

The wind blows with considerable strength up there, the visor hanging from your fingers flapping around. Cath is leaning against a VTOL, her eyes shining with dispassionate blue light. Richard stands a bit further from her, only half-turned away, keeping an eye on the woman. The guns, harness and ammo are propped up against the wall beside the elevator, and you pick tehm up, hauling the massive weight towards the aircraft, non-ceremoniusly chucking them into the hold with an underhanded throw. The Cannes Belli troops, a dozen of them, stare at you, and though you can't see their faces, the way they grip their guns shows that they didn't take this casual demonstration of strength lightly. "You ready to go man?" Richard grins.

His grin freezes for a second, but he explodes with roaring laughter when you finish. After ten seconds, he gasps for air, burshes tears out of his eyes, still chuckling. "You almost got me going there man. Good one." He climbs aboard, and you follow him with Catherine in tow. The door closes behind you with a thud, and the VTOL lurches, taking off, a sound barely audible under the buzzing sound of the engines signilling the activation of the cloaking. Flopping down on a seat, you notice one of the Canes Belli eyeing Cath. His voice is muted by the gas mask on him as he says "You sure that outfit is going to be enough miss?" She raises an arm, a ripple running through it, the skin briefly transforming into a black steel mesh then back to normal. She smiles, looking at the soldier with those distrubing blue eyes. "I will be quite fine. But thank you for your...concern. It has been noted." There is something threatening about the way she says it, and the man visibly recoils, starting to lift his gun. "Easy there. We're all friends here." Richard pushes the gun

The soldier coughs, clearly confused. "It's okay? I guess?" Richard beams at the two of them, clapping the man's shoulder. "Very good, now you are acting like proper teammates." He drops down on another seat, leaning the back of his head against the plate behind him, and closes his eyes. You follow suit, and must have dozed off, because the next thing you know is Catherine shaking you awake. "Jack? It's started." You do hear the sound of explosions and gunfire in the distance.

The VTOL circles in the air for a few minutes, when Richard tenses up, holding his hand to the earpiece in his left ear. "Uhhuh. Huh. Got it HQ, we're Oscar Mike." "I'll go out and shoot them. Keep this bird in the air." Richard let's out a disbelieveing snort. "Keeping it simple, huh. Okay, you're in charge." You put on the visor, grow the xtra eyes and shrug into the harness, adjusting it so your wings and bio-thrusters aren't restrained by it. You won't be as nimble as without it, but it'll have to do. After attaching the ammo feeder, you give Cath and Richard a thumbs up, open the door, and leap out. The wind tears at your clothes as you zoom down, letting loose short burst from the cannon on the way, strafing the Warriors below. You don't get many direct hits, but those shells that do hit head on tear the creatures apart, and one of the shrapnels must have hit the Overseer, evident by it's mental wail of pain.

Barely ducking behind an outcropping balcony to avoid the hail of bone spikes coming in retaliation, you consider your options when a screaming sound startles you, the air being displaced with deafening noise. Cath smashes into the ground like a shooting star, sending chips of concrete flying with incredible force, strange devices extending from her back, similar to the ones you assume allowed the HK you encountered to fly. Her flesh has been replaced by glistening black steel, and her arms are twisted into weapons, a stream of blinding energy flowing from them, slicing the rest of the Warriors apart. The Overseer screams out for help through the mind-link, while the two Leaders roar in challenge, rushing Catherine.

You twist in the air, the cannon kicking in your hands, half a dozen shells hitting one of them, it's body pulverized by the projectiles. The shrapnel spraying from them strike the other one, and it's left tentacles and arm go limp, jagged bits of metal potruding from them. Cath let's out a scream, like the keening of a bird of prey coming through a voice synthetiser, and charges it, her hands turning into talons with serrated edges.

Turning back towards your target, you pinpoint it's locaiton, and soar towards it, smashing through the display of a department store, mannequins flying around as you bull through them. You catch the bodysnatcher hiding behind a shelf, a shrapnel sticking out if it's right leg. You lift it into the air by the throat while planting your feet on the ground, skidding a few meters on the waxed floor from the remaining momentum. Your fingers morph into claws and sink into it's skin, blood lightly trickling from the wounds, your tendrils bursting forth into it. It tries to fight back like the first one you met, but you are prepared for it, and nonchalantly smash it's head against the sharp corner of a shelf a few times, the concussion confusing it enough to allow a smooth absorption.

You let the body drop to the floor, and hear Cath approaching from behind, the broken glass crunching under her feet. "You are done, yes?" Her eyes are a piercing, bright blue, the black around them conealing any humanity she might have. At the moment though, you find it hard to be scared by her, adrenaline coursing through your veins, singing out to you to strike down your enemies.

Cath continues to stare at you but nods. "Affirmative." You stomp out of the store, and see that the Leader Cath took on is plastered evenly across fifty square feet of wall and pavement. Glancing back at Catherine, you notice a gleam of ferocious hunger in her eyes. "Uh, Jack, what's going on?" Richards voice comes through your earpiece, sounding concerned. "They're dea." "What? All of them?" You smile. "Yep." "Holy shit, you guys don't fuck around, do you now? Okay, the next Overseer is about two hundred meters southwest, heading westward along the street." After a few brief moments of silence, he speaks again. "Uh, be advised, a Dragon is heading your way. ETA two minutes."

"Got it. Keep a lookout for me." You take to the skies, Cath following you, her propulsion emitting a low buzz that sets your teeth on edge. You glide after a hundred or so meters, landing behind an outcropping on a roof. Down in the street, you can see an gaunt elderly woman in a pin cardigan walking at a brisk pace between a detachment of Warriors, a single Leader shadowing her.

    Wat do?

Search the old woman for a mind link, if there is one, take her out. If not, ignore her..we're not a fucking boyscout, and shes clearly too senile to live very long after this.

You crouc down by the edge of the roof, pointing the cannon at the old woman clearly emanating a powerful mind-link signal. The visor display a clear line, and you adjust to fire in front of her. The shells would hit her clean, but a fraction of a second before you squeeze the trigger, her arm shoot up, palm facing towards you, and her head snaps to the side to face you. The explosive projectiles that would've hit her seem to slow down, like suddenly passing through thick jelly. This doesn't stop the ones that went stray, and some of the shrapnel hurtling from them find their way to the Overseer, burying themselves into it. It barely has enough time to gasp before falling down on the ground, a large pool of blood appearing underneath it in a second. The Warriors seem to go mad, clawing at each other and the pavement, but the Leader rushes towards you with clear purpose. It isn't anywhere fast enough, and the next burst rips it to shreds. Cath steps up to the edge too, and the two of you mow down the confused Warriors with ease.

"Incoming Dragon. I repeat, incoming fucking Dragon!" Richard sounds panicked, and you can see a large from hurtling towards you at an alarming speed. The visor shows that it's about two kilometers away, and closing fast. You have about four seconds before it reaches you.

    Wat do?

Um. Scatter! put some distance between one another, if it turns to go after one it'll be turning it's back on the other.

    Soooo.
    Everyone else left or something?
Because if they did, I think it would be enough of a cliffhanger to have something the size of an eight-wheeler called a Dragon hurtle towards you at almost twice the speed of sound.

Alright, fuck. bitch has telekinesis, and does not give a FUCK about the overseer.

Oh god. Shes a fucking hunter. Call in the troops, get an airstrike on the overseers position, get a cruise missile ready to launch on our command, and have Cath take care of the dragon. We're the only one who can take down granny

In that case, ask for intel on just what the hell a dragon is, and if we should already be running.
