There will be a quest today, but I got back from the gym just 10 minutes ago. So, I will consume a metric ton of delicious pasta, make some coffee, and relax a bit.

    ETA 1 hour-ish.

You are a strange creature, capable of taking over other lifeforms to serve as your vessel. Your current host, Jack Winters, was unbeknownst to you a drug addict, and overdosed on speedball. To survive, you bonded with him, but this damaged you, leaving you separated from the bodysnatcher command structure. An individual by accident, you are hunted by the cyborg aliens, the forces guided by the illuminati called the Wise, and your own kin.

The sneak attack of the Overseer wounded you, and somehow mutated you, granting you new and strange powers, as well as showing you a coming assault, orchestrated by a Queen and lead by a Hunter, freshly created for this very purpose. Deciding that the threat is too large, you warily agreed to an alliance with the Wise.

    Your known abilities are:
    - reinforcing your muscle and bone tissue, making you several times stronger, faster and tougher
    - growing weapons from your arms, limited to one on each arm in any combination:a hooked, double edged blade on your forearm, claws, a spike that springs out from your wrist underneath your palm or launchable bone spikes
    - hardening your skin into thick, segmented bone plate armor resistant to heat and energy weapons, and growing a membrane under your skin, that contains fluid that hardens on impact
    - absorbing ingested organic material, that you can use to increase muscle and bone density(animal tissue is the most effective)
    - the ability to call forth your host's memories, skills and knowledge
    - altering your appearance, includin skin\hair\eye colour, facial features, height, build, and gender, though the more elaborate the change is, the more time and effort it takes.
    - producing almost any kind of drug, poison or acid in liquid form, including sedatives, that you can deliver either at high pressure from an opening that can be created anywhere on your body, or through the wristspike.
    - emitting pheromones that influence humans
    - sensing the mind-link of bodysnatchers
    - enhanced senses, capable of switching to different spectrums (infravision, ultrasound, noise filtering, etc.)
    - fiber-optic nervous system, allowing you to ignore pain to some extent, and speeding up your reflexes by orders of magnitude
    - a pair of leathery wings growing from your shoulder blades, with a bio-fuel fed jet system underneath it, allowing you extremely fast aerial movement
    - superhuman sense of balance
    - four combat tentacles

    Mutations:
    -Perfect Predator
Noise-level sense, body better optimised for stealth, invisible to digital sensors and leaves no scent

The massive reinforced door shuts closed behind you with an enormous thud, cutting you off from the strange spherical chamber behind you. You are thankful for it, something about the way the Wise member talked sent off alarms in your head. Taking a deep breath to calm down, you look up to see Director Fadil waiting for you.

"So. I've been ordered to help you out in any way I can. Keep in mind though, we're preparing for the battle tomorrow, so don't expect any miracles." He sighs, for a second showing a bone-deep weariness, then redons the professional expression he wore. The Canes Belli shift with discomfort behind him, uncomfortable with your presence as he says "So, what do you need?"

    Wat do?

The rest of the elevator ride is spent in silence, and soon the doors open to reveal a rather luxurious room, with hardwood floors and expensive, but tasteful furniture and decorations. From the fullsize windows you can see downtown below, bustling with everyday normal activity.

"This is the guest suite. You're companions are already here. If you need anything, this intercom has the most important numbers on speed dial. Number one is the reception, number two is security, and number three is Agent van Rohe's cellphone." You turn around when you hear a happy squeel, seeing Daisy rush up to you with her cat in her arms. "Jack, Jack, this place is sooooo coool. Are we really going to live here?" Cath appears in the hallway behind her, leaning against the doorframe.

    Which kind of weapons?

Well, we obviously need the hybrids or straight up the alien guns. Human modern weapons are kind of useless for us.

Then we should take a moment and think against what kind of enemies we will use them.
We didn't have much problem dealing with the Warriors or the Leader ... but I think if they actually managed to attack us, they would have done some damage, fortunately they seem to be close range enemies, so I think a weapon that can take on Warriors is a good start.
Then, the Hunters. I am going to assume they are going to be fast as fuck, so the kind of weapon that was used against us (which projectiles shoot as fast as possible) would be nice.

Also, we might go against hundreds of enemies at once, so having a weapon with huge area damage might be nice too.

Ask what kind of devices they have that are not straight up weapons. What would he suggest taking when fighting against a hunter?

Also Cath. Do you think that she could absorb the weapons and make them part of her which she can call up at any moment?

Let's think for a minute..We are fast, agile, and very strong, so we can probably take he heaviest wepaons they have with no problems.

And thinking back to our own experience, that bolter weapon fucking HURT, that came close to killing us, a direct hit prrbably would've, so if they have a bigger, badder version of that, it would be great for taking out other hunters.

But taking Perfect Predator into account, we might also want something more stealthy..

Richard makes a bitter face, pacing around the room a little. "To be honest, our attempts at silenced weaponry have failed rather spectacularly. Both alien races' senses are well beyond human capabilities, and that negates the tech we came up with. And our hybrid tech, since it came from the cyborgs, has no such features, as they don't employ silent ranged weapons. They believe in maximum destructive power."

    >>15823167

The lab boys should be able to put together a feeding mechanism, if it's your choice. For devastation on larger areas, the energy lance is your best bet, rips through almost everything, accurate too."

"So, could you recommend something against a Hunter?" you ask him. He snorts derisively. "A nuke. Cruise missiles. A batallion of tanks. Honestly man, you are our best bet against it, only one we took down without blowing everything up was the one Grey pounded into a pulp."

They believe in maximum destructive power."

... could Cath modify them somehow?

Well, if not, lets take a lance (it is not too huge, is it? About the size of a automatic rifle?) and the huge gun just in case.

Then go to get the bodysnatcher samples (or did we have something else in mind?)

True enough, there are only two other high-tech weapons, one is the one you saw when you escaped the base, the microflechette launcher with underbarrel flamethrower, and the other is a lightning gun, ionises air with a laser then sends electricity through it, basically a taser against Warriors and such.
    So yeah, my bad again.

He sees a gleam in your eyes, and lets out a loud, throaty laugh. "I see you like the idea. Only thing you'd have to figure out is what rounds to use. There's HEAT, HEDP, and APFSDS rounds for it." He looks at you, and notices the polite incomprohension. "High Explosive Anti Tank, basically sends out a copper plate at more than twenty times the speed of sound, punches through a lot of armour. Then ther's High Explosive Double Purpose, that is similar to the prvious one, but it sends out shrapnel as well like a frag grenade. Last is Armour-Piercing Fin-stabilized Discarding Sabot, it's a big, pointy bit of metal that has a more stable trajectory because it has fins like an arrow or missile."

HDEP..good for groups, and fast enemies.

Warriors wont be an issue either, after all, it's not like we only get one shot.
TO THE RANGE! And have Cath do some ...techy analytical stuff to help us perfect our methods..We will want to see how it impedes our movement as well, and get used to firing it one the move.

"Sure, lemme just make some calls. We'll have it ready for a test drive soon." Let's just say that they have some rather strange ideas, and leave it at that. So, why do you need Daisy again? She's having fun playing with the cat and I'd rather not disturb her without need."
