So lemme get this straight: We were able to hold the university until the tanks came back, and we were able to hold off the zeds but, once a new strain of the infection came out in North Korea, the government decided that all our work was a moot point, and decided to enact cleanup protocols--i.e. napalming the area and letting the troops round up stragglers. Then, the zombies came back, and there was a three-way battle going. Our friends made the valiant effort of holding everyone off while we could rocket off to safety, before landing head-first and losing the top parts of our clothes and our sweetass rocket hammer.

This means that the university has been either (1) contained or (2) destroyed--it's too unlikely to tell from what we saw. After all, those big plumes of smoke could have been coming from burning body piles or burning buildings.

What this leaves for the conditions of our friends is three options: (1) they were shot by the military and/or nom'd by the zeds; (2) they were captured by the military and subsequently are being held in some undisclosed location, being tortured or worse; or (3) they managed to hold off both the military *and* the zombies, and are still at the university, tentatively deciding on whether or not to send out search parties to look for us.

There so much ambiguity it makes me wanna puke. And it would really suck if there was a near-TPK because we weren't around to lead everyone.

We probably had discovered around or over 100 survivors in the university, and for the most part we were armed with both melee and ranged weaponry. We had rifles, pistols, some shotguns, and a few molotov grenadiers. We might have been able to hold if they came at us in waves (alluding to that "tower defense" line Dom said), but we couldn't have done it permanently. Military would have eventually stopped giving a fuck and woulda tac-nuked the area or the Zeds would overrun our defenses when we ran outta ammo.

I dont think OC would use a tpk on something we put so much effort on. On the other hand, we can't under estimate what Beatrix did in actively organizing the fighting spirit of the University. Without Dom giving them hope, and Bea leading them to fight its highly unlikely they'll be held together.

Considering that there's been a sort of timeskip, I'd say that this bit of quest has been particularly successful, blasting apart the wall of a house notwithstanding.

This is the first Zombie Quest thread I've seen. Everyone is talking about tanks and I'm trying to burn through the other 17 chapters so I can know whats going on.

We became the leader of a small resistance movement, and were last left off holding the line against a horde several hundred strong, with Special Infected types thrown in as bosses. We had also sent out a small detachment to claim a few pieces of armor from an old-fogies community. They were coming back to the university when we last left off.

Then comes the timeskip, during which the defenses held and the tanks came back. But then the a new strain of the infection--a strain for which we had not developed a cure--broke out in Korea.
