    Thread 50! Whoo! I've managed to keep about 5 people interested for a whole year!

    Alright, Cerebrate. Enough frivolity. Game face.

    The unknown forces behind the apparent poisoning of the planet Kassandris nearly captured one of our wraiths using some kind of plasma weapon we have never seen before. This does not take away from our elation at turning the tide of the battle at Nickenae, even though we still aren't completely sure who we helped.

    Cyberbrate is keeping up with the Confederate and Morian ciphers, though we have yet to use any of them.

    I promise to fight the urge to slip the Water Temple into Thread 50, because we'll be here all night.

    We could try infiltrating the Confederacy, or Moria. We could explore more of UED space, and find out what the hell's going on, there. We could talk to our non-aggressive Protoss Empire contacts. We could work on sifting through Cyberbrate's databanks, which are still largely untapped.

    As our overlord arrives over Zhakul, it feels a familiar psionic emanation, a warping of space that indicates that the Preservers are summoning another fallen Protoss back to life. There are two carriers in orbit, and a small contingent of forces waiting near the crystal.

    Let us explore more of UED space. Send a few dropservers to scout about using that map we found, and send a few to that one planet where we presumably chased off Dyles attempting to attack a UED planet. Listen in on traffic and whatnot.

    Contact the Jael'aten. See how they're reacting to Khas' resurrection, and ask them how Khas has reacted to their apostate status.

    Contact Kerrigan. Get her up to date on all that has transpired with the Protoss and about the possible arrival of the UED.

    I wonder if it's possible to run some psychic interferance to tamper with the resurrection process.

    I don't think we know enough about the Khala to be able to CONTROL what happens, but we should have the capabilities to ensure that the process is imperfect (random burst of protoss-like psionic emanations or a pulse of dark-templar Void-based powers).

    So long as our interferance is untraceable (or could be blamed on Dark Templar) I wouldn't mind being able to make sure that whoever is getting ressed has a brain like mashed potato.

    If nothing else it could keep the Protoss from trying res anyone else. If things go well, we'll be able to increase the divide between the Protoss and the Dark Templar. (Remember, the Dark Templar are theoretically the only beings currently on the table that can permanently kill us WITHOUT wiping out the entire Zerg race.)

    The Dark Templar are wiped out to less than ten to twenty individuals after Kingston nuked Shakuras to hell and back. Add into that fact that they willingly went against the Khala and threw it in Adun's face when he tried to reconcile them with the Conclave, and I think that Khas won't need any more help in widening the rift between the two factions. The Dark Templar are something we should be wary of, but so long as we have the cease-fire in place, we may be safe for now. If we work with Khas even more, he may even give us permission to hunt down those blasphemers with his blessing.

    Khas is a much more immediately powerful psionicist than we are. We will not likely be able to fool him if we interfere with such a process.

    Hell, I think we've still got some Dark Templar captives from weeks ago. If we can sneak them near the location and kill them there, their death-screams (amplified, by Psi-enhancers, if absolutely necessary) might just be enough to ruin the Protoss' plans.

    So long as we make sure that Tassadar is no-where close, none of the Conclave Protoss will even recognise the death-screams as anything more than some sort of psionic assault that reeks of Dark Templar essence.

    He tried to save the Dark Templar when the Conclave ordered him to exterminate them to a man. This might serve to open up more divisions within Protoss society, rather than strengthen Khas' rule.

    It seems like the whole Aldaris/Tassadar conflict might come about again, only this time with even more legendary heroes at the helm. And this time, there may be no huge Zerg threat to re-unify them under the cause of a common enemy.

    Adun is either a very good thing or a very bad thing for the Zerg.

    Send a few of our terran assets theres, along with a terran linked to a psi-enhancer to produce a death-scream. Engage the protoss fleet enough to ensure that an insertion force lands adequately close to the crystal.

    AT THE SAME TIME: use our new encryption codes to broad-cast an S.O.S. to all Terran factions warning of a fight and asking for reinforcements/saving.

    If we're lucky, the Protoss fleet will have destroyed our own fleet BEFORE the real Terrans arrive.

    Depending on whether or not the Terran reinforcements arrive in large enough numbers to be a challenge to the Protoss fleet, we can ready Zerg forces to hop in and 'save' our Protoss 'associates' and earn some extra brownie points even IF Adun survives.

    (Cerebrate Anon: Can you please let us discuss properly things before forcing us to vote as soon as two possible solutions have been proposed? Our 'poor decisions' are partially caused by the fact that we are constantly given black and white options.     The Zerg cannot use the Crystal to bring the Overmind back.

    The Crystal can only bring back the Protoss that are connected to the Khala (so it shouldn't even be able to bring a Dark Templar back).

    Since the Overmind is not part of the Khala, the Crystal will be unable to bring him back.

    (Not to say that it might not be useful to help us remember how to bring a cerebrate back like how the Overmind was able to do, but it should be considered more an object of study for the Zerg rather than a tool we could use.
