Ooh boy, here we go.
The village contains somewhere in the neighborhood of 75 people. It's not large by any stretch of the imagination, and most of the adults are focused on either farming or hunting to keep the village fed. Children that do well in the raising house are apprenticed to craftsfolk like carpenters, blacksmiths, or healers. Those who aren't as adept, or who express interest, go to learn farming and hunting.
As far as you know, there are no villages nearby. As far as Osyki knows nobody has ever explored past the Ikrin peaks, nor does he know what lies beyond the Swamp. Out of game, there are a few settlements in the part of the continent where Osyki's village is, but in general it's a vicious, monster-filled land.
I have a ton of creatures though up, and whenever I think of a new one I write it into the increasingly large word file I keep on the quest. Give me a biome or a type of creature and I can throw out three or four examples.
Your village is indeed on a continent, in the northeastern portion of it. If you track down a map in the next few quests, you'll see how the continent is basically laid out, and what neighboring seas and islands it has. I wont give too much away, but there are a wide range of biomes for you to hunt totems in. |
