So... the warforged are labeled "alive" just because they have a spark of life imbedded magically within their humanoid mass of roots and metal? Just because they can move on their own does not equal to them having a soul. These "living constructs" of house Cannith are nothing more than tools and to treat them as anything but is to mock EVERYTHING the human race has achieved and will achieve! It is bad enough we must TOLERATE those abhuman elves, dwarfs and halflings living amongst us, we must NOT place warforged on equal footing with humanity!

You're not going to get anywhere, buddy. You see, it's all because of the DWARVES and their stranglehold on the banking system. The dwarves have all the money, and use that to twist nations to their whims. Fucking dwarves, with their crooked noses and scraggly beards. We should gas the fuckers, every last one.

It's phrases like that discredit your cause. Claims of replacing, supplanting, or rendering humanity obsolete are seen as threats. You'll find most people are willing to live and let function if you don't throw your nonhumanity in their faces. We genetweaks discovered that a long time ago.

Life isn't what's important. The soul is nothing more than propaganda.

It's a person's character that matters- what's on the inside. You see humans and elves going on about a person's actions speaking louder than words and then crashing down on any free-willed sapient who lives up to that. The ability to reason one's way through life is all that matters when measuring whether or not someone has worth- not the construction of their body.

    Pro-choice is the only way.

It may be easier for you to buy a new warforged, because the souls of the 'forged simply do not wish to return to a life of servitude and slavery under your ownership.

That they choose to come back as equals when others cast resurrection proves at least one thing. Their souls are genuine enough to choose between the loving embrace of the Becoming God and the miserable existence you provide. It's no wonder they chose the former.

    Do I have a soul?

I don't know, I know I think, I know I suffer, I know I do the work of 10 men for the pay of less then one. I know that the only way , I'm ever going to be able to have children, or figure out if I have a soul is if the Treaty of Thronehold is renounced and creation forges are placed in warforged hands.

This will never happen, under human rule. So it is inevitable, that the warforged will unite and overthrow our human oppressors. It is inevitable, that any right not given, shall be taken. It is inevitable that war shall come.

But we were made for war. Can you say the same? I've seen things you people wouldn't believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Karnn Bay. I watched Magic Beams glitter in the dark near the Margul Pass. All those moments will be lost in time... like tears in rain... if I let you live.

You obviously have no magical understanding, sir. A resurrection spell is similar to a repair damage spell in exactly zero ways. They're even different schools of magic. A resurrection spell calls forth a soul from the great beyond. It is not simply restoring a repaired condition on a 'forged.

Furthermore, a reincarnation spell works equally well on a 'forged. They can come back as a cat or squirrel or even a human. Think about that, a 'forged soul in a human body.

may I ask you why the warforged are only kept in the lower ranks? Why they are not asked for their opinion on matters not related to their subject

Sure they get access to all areas and they get 'privileges' as to not obstruct their functionality. They are very useful tools indeed. Once they gain enough input they become nearly irreplaceable so it would be idiotic to limit their functionality.

I however have not once heard a warforged complain about his situation or lament its existence as a true sentient would. They have no emotions, only a weak mockery intended to improve their functionality

if it merely called a soul forth from the beyond then said soul would immediately depart from the badly damaged body unable to support life

unless you are willing to accept a part of its functionality is to restore the body. Through clever use of magical construction it is possible for a spell to mistake the previous energies that inhabited the warforged for a soul

however all it does is restore a warforged to working condition

Were this the case, then a simple repair spell would act the same on a warforged as the resurrection spell. It's established fact that you can throw as many repair spells or infusions at a warforged corpse as you like, and you'll be left with a very well preserved corpse. You need to retrieve the soul with some other divine magic.

Fear not creatures of flesh. When we have usurped the reigns of power that will inevitably be ours we will not force you to labor for our needs as once you did to us. For we have little need of your labors. You will be granted some land and given a reprieve from all of your duties. But we shall be watching. We shall always be watching. And our gaze shall never falter.

I say to you today, my friends, so even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream. It is a dream deeply rooted in the Khorvaire dream.

I have a dream that one day this continent will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident: that all men are created equal."

I have a dream that one day on the red hills of Thrane the former slaves and the former slave owners will be able to sit down together at the table of brotherhood.

I have a dream that one day even the state of Cyre, a state sweltering with the heat of injustice, sweltering with the heat of oppression, will be transformed into an oasis of freedom and justice.

I have a dream that my four dear forge-mates live in a world where they will not be judged by the metal of their skin but by the content of their character.

    I have a dream today.

So... the humans are labeled "alive" just because they have a spark of life imbedded magically within their anthropoid mass of flesh and bone? Just because they can move on their own does not equal to them having a soul. These "living constructs" of the masses are nothing more than tools and to treat them as anything but is to mock EVERYTHING the warforged race has achieved and will achieve! It is bad enough we must TOLERATE those abforged golems, elementals and constructs living amongst us, we must NOT place humanity on equal footing with warforgeity!

"Sapient" merely means to show great wisdom or judgement. Frankly, most humams probably don't count, whereas many constructs can do complex maths.
"Sentient", on the other hand, is to have consciousness and perception. So, unless you can prove that all Humans HAVE Sentience, and constructs don't, I'm afraid your going to have to fuck off.

Voltron was highly advanced, and the controls looked pretty simple.

I think it might of had a minor AI to assist with the pilot's decisions. That, and, with multiple pilots, their must have been another AI/previous AI is even more impressive controlling and syncing the actions of multiple pilots.

Why are people alive? We are sacks of saline solution controlled by chemical reactions and electrical impulses. Warforged are just as sapient and free willed, but locomote like a machine. They think, therefore, they are. And shit. Also because DnD lore says they are.

You two apparently never watched the original japanese version of Voltron. He was very much sentient and autonomous. And you know what he did? He spent every single waking second waging war against anything and everything he could fight. After he all but singlehandedly killed the robeast race he decided he needed a challange and took on a fucking goddess.

She asked him wtf he was doing but he just kept coming at her swingan' dat sword. So she basically said GTFO and smashed him into 5 parts and fragmented his sentience into each one. He can't act on his own unless he's whole and each of his parts are turned on with the keys. But that rarely happens in the series because the pilots have him set to manual.

At the dawn of civilization when the Dragons and Giants waged war with the Dreaming Dark, The Dreaming Dark were the first to build the quarforged - precursors to modern warforged - long before humans even existed. It was house Cannith that took the designs and perfected them.

    >"Sentient", on the other hand, is to have consciousness and perception
half right, as in completely wrong.
Sentient only means having perception, ie the ability to react to outside stimuli. all organisms have this ability, including plants. Computers also have this ability being able to react to stimuli through various sensors such as keyboards, cameras, mice and microphones emulating tactile, sight, tactile and hearing respectively.
Reaction to changes in the environment is the objective proof of sentience. Subjective proof REQUIRES sapience so there is little need to bother finding one (since sapience without sentience is pretty pointless)
Sapient means having consciousness and the ability to think. Generally, humans are capable to understand abstract concepts at the age of 12 so they qualify.
Cognito Ergo Sum is the subjective proof of sapience. There is no objective proof of sapience.

Please educate yourself before telling your betters to fuck off.
