we can shoot him with the shotgun or the tranq rifle. With the tranq theres a chance he can be revived with a shot of adrinaline (may be some in the first aid kit or jason's loot boat).

You can try to make a lasso and rope something along the shore, but that'll only work as long as you're in range of the shore. Or you could take a look at the cabin.
