Well shit you guys. I did not mean for that to happen. Which is why I am willing to have a vote.

Option 1) We continue with the universe created in the last one
Option 2) We revert to the beginning of RQ5 and do it over.

Choice is yours, I like both options.

Basically, one guy was the only one posting.
Three major characters ended up brutally murdered by the player, including Mr. Donowitz, Mr. Max, and a few others.

I retconned it by saying it was a chemical attack on the station by the Council(I had planted seeds for it) but... I dunno. I kindof like the direction it went, but he literally took out half the major charcaters I had.

Like I said, I'm willing to work with either option.

he Dark Side of the Moon is a massive orbital station orbiting in the shadow of Tauros' smallest moon. It is a well known center of Rebellion activity and illegal gambling. Thanks to the charisma and well-placed bribes of the stations owner, Mr. Max, the station has avoided Council involvement. Not to your surprise, Mr. Donowitz and Mr. Max are quite good friends.

Mr. Donowitz explains all of this as he pulls into a private hanger bay in the station.

"You really did a good job getting those weapons, Renard. Even I would have trouble pulling that off."

Tracie comes in behind you two while you talk.

"Mr. Max is rea'y ta mett wit' you und Scot now" Tracie says.

"Always eager to make a good deal." Mr Donowitz smiles "Tracie, would you mind taking Tom with you and see if you can get some mechanics up here? Take Renard with you if he'd like to go. If not he can come with me and negotiate with Mr. Max if you like."

ou opt to go with Mr. Donowitz and Scot up to negotiate the sales with Mr. Max.

The area just off the hanger you're docked in is a massive area, filled with various shops, stalls, gambling dens and even a small church. There must be thousands of people on this deck alone. Mr. Donowitz and Scot stride purposefully across the floor as you follow. They stop near what you think is the center, at a bank of elevators. They get in one marked 'VIPs'. Gentle music plays as you take the luxurious elevator upwards.

"The Lunatic is on the grass... The Lunatic is on the grass.." you manage to make out before the elevator stops with a ding.

In front of you is an extravagent office. Rich red and gold carpet spread like wildflowers before you, and a solid oak desk adorned with old fashioned pen and papers litter it's surface, net to a modern computer that you think is built into the desk itself. The entire forward wall is a plastiglass bubble, looking out onto Tauros' moon and the various traffic going between.

    You are awestruck.

"I think you'll really like Mr. Max" Mr. Donowitz says as he guides you out of the elevator.

Mr. Max is sharply dressed in a white tuxedo. Everything about him screams wealth. He rises from his desk and goes and shakes each of your hands individually and introducing himself to you.

"A pleasure to meet you, Renard" He says. To Mr. Donowitz he says "As always, you are welcome in my palace."

With that he has several scantily clad women pull up chairs for you to sit and discuss matters. Mr. Donowitz does most of the talking, explaining that they had some equipment that had been salvaged, and that as always, you were looking to sell.

When the matter of the weapons comes up, Mr. Max raises his eyebrows and looks at you with something approaching admiration.

When Mr. Donowitz finishes talking, Mr. Max nods an begins typing into the computer.

"I'm sure I can find a buyer for you in a few days. As always Mr. Donowitz, you are welcome to enjoy the hospitality of my palace. You and your crew always have credit here." He sits back and pulls out a massive cigar from the interior of his tuxedo before continuing.

"If you want to send Renard here down to the Engineering decks to find Olivia, then we can even get those Gauss cannons and Shield generators installed on your ship for you" He flashes you another smile.

You step back with a nod and head to the elevator, humming.

The elevator ride down is quiet until it reaches the Engineering bay and opens with a little 'ding'.

Cramped, narrow corridors greet you and everything sees to be either metal or covered in grease. Workers with soot-covered faces and oil-stained overalls bustle about, few of them bothering to even turn to look at the two new arrivals on the deck. There's many indents and openings along the wall, and from an open doorway you can see the sporadic flicker of a blowtorch. Strangely, you feel like you've stumbled into a gargantuan ant hive.

It's only then that you realize you have no idea how to find Olivia.

After a few minutes of frantic searching, you stumble upon a worker smoking in a small alcove. He listens to you over the din, flicks his cigeratte away and stands up.

"Olivia? She'd probably be in the Engine room. Look on the wall. See how there's red, blue, and green arrows painted on? Red arrows always point to the engine room, Blue always points to the nearest lift and green points to the store rooms. Try not to get lost." You make your way to the warehouses, pushing your way through cluttered corridors and crowds. Finally you arrive in a long, green painted corridor, with doors on either side stretching as far as you can see. You enter the closest door and emerge in a giant warehouse. Steel, lengths of chain and cable, pipes and tools are scattered haphazardly about the room, stretching all the way to the roof 5 meters over head.

There are several other people in the room, hauling out tools and cable, but they don't even notice you as you grab a handful of tools: Hand riveters, Pocket torches, Buzz saws, all that you can fit into your pockets and not look suspicious.

You walk out of the room seconds later, trying to act nonchalant, find a red arrow on the wall, and start to head to the Engine Room.

The engine room is massive. All along the walls are fuel rods, glowing behind lead tinted safety glass. filing the 50 meters between walls are various walkways, control stations and cooling pools. Every few seconds, a rod is taken from it's spot on the wall by either a team of people in HazMat suits or a robotic claw and dunked in the cool blue freezant. The entire room is sweltering and tinted red.

Olivia isn't hard to find. She's ordering a group of men twice her size around, barking orders. She positively reeks of authority, even though she stands barely 5'5.

When she notices the newcomer to the room, she whirls on you.

You barely have time to reply before she's walking out of the room. You quickly catch up as she makes her way through the halls. Unlike when you had to struggle through the halls, the crowd sees to melt in front of Olivia, making your progress much speedier.

"I don't normally do ship work, but a few years back, Mr. Donowitz and I use to fly together. I'd do anything for that crazy bastard." She says as you ride the elevator up. "Of course, he never did seem to realize who was in charge." she says. The shift in her personality is amazing.

You spend the next few days with Olivia and Al. Olivia, although a bit cold at first, quickly takes a liking to you. She shows you the 'fine art' of welding and riveting. While installing the Gauss cannons onto the ship, she explains that the Council technology was gimped in several areas.

"First, due to the conditions that these things are manufactured under, they wear out fast. Most ships have to replace them every two years or so. Second, they don't work as efficiently as they could... Or should."

She shows you how to bypass the unnecassary safety measures on the cannons, and how to use the ships engine as a heatsink for the cannons.

Al is also very receptive to you. As you guys go through the bags of guns, he explains every little detail he can think of on the gun. Using one of the captured Council shotguns, he disassembles it and shows you every piece within it, along with the ID chip, the part that prevents most people fro firing the gun.

"Damn Council can't even figure out how to install them right. IF it were me, I'd install them during the manufacturing process, not after the whole things already built."

At the end of the third day, the three of you step back to admire your work. The ship now has functioning shields, two light Gauss cannons mounted on the port and starboard sides and somehow, Olivia even managed to hook up a more efficient issile firing system. Three of your sub- nuclear missiles could be fired in a row before it needed to be reloaded. Pressure points had been welded and riveted all over the ship so that it could remain at max speed for longer without having chunks of the ship torn away either.

"Damn good work Renard. Didn't think you'd have had it in you. Let's go let Donowitz know" Olivia says, patting you on the back.

Mr. Donowitz is pacing the room, wringing his hands behind his back. Scot is frantically discussing something with Mr. Max who is deathly pale. It takes a moment for them to even notice your arrival.

"Oh... Olivia, Renard, sit down. You may as well hear this too." Mr. Max says, gesturing. You take your seat and Olivia follows suit.

It takes a minute for Mr. Max seems unable to speak, and instead, brings up a holomap. On it, is The station. At the far end of the Holomap is a ship designated 'C-EE1'.

    It's Scot that speaks first.

"That right there, is a Council missile frigate with it's sites trained right on us. We haven't been able to let anyone leave for the last 16 hours."

Mr. Donowitz speaks next "Apparently there is some... Biological concern on the station. Terrorists planting bombs or something." He laughs, but there is no humour in it.

"They've been requesting to board for the last 12 hours to sweep the station" Scot continues. "We've held them off so far by claiming Article 117. That stopped working an hour ago."

"I tried to bribe them... But the captain... is new. Edward Esturr..." Mr. Max stammers.

As you watch, you see two more designations pop up on the Holomap, marked 'CBC-1' and 'CBC-2.'

"Those are boarding craft, coming to search the station. How long until they find something incriminating?" Mr. Donowitz asks.

"Almost.... Almost instantly. There's... 12,000 people on the station now. More then half of them are illegal in some way." Mr. Max somehow turns paler.

"We need to do something!" Olivia says, standing now. "We can't just let them come in and shoot the place up!"

"There's enough firepower on that Missile Frigate to blow this station to pieces in three salvos... How are we supposed to fight against that?"

Can we remotely rig some old ships to intercept the missiles before they reach us?

If so, we need at least ten ready by the time the shuttles get here.

We will take over the shuttles, and fly them back to the ship, claiming the station is lost, and telling them we're bugging out.

Then the missile interceptors protect the station while we take over the ship.

A third designation pops up from the missile frigate

'EM-1' It says. It moves much faster then the boarding craft and quickly passes them.

"Son of a bitch... That's a missile!" Scot shouts. Mr. Max and Scot both throw themselves to the ground. Olivia drags you and Donowitz to the ground as well.

Seconds later, the station shudders violently. The Holomap, as well as every light in the room wink off instantly.

"It was an EMP missile..." Donowitz breathes and stands up. You can just barely make each other out using the light of the moon and starts behind Mr. Max's desk.

"We need to get the fuck out, now." Scot says. Mr. Max reaches into his drawer and pulls out a small box. Inside are six pistols. He passes them out, his hands shaking.

Olivia chimes in "Are there any EVA suits in here?" She asks.

"Yeah... six... In that panel over there." He points and then asks "Why?"

"We could blow out that window right there and crawl down to the hangers. They'd never expect it."

"I say we go with the stairs. It's the safest way."

"Or we could split up. Mr. Max, what do you think?" Mr. Donowitz says

Scot hesitates but starts to pull his suit off as well. "We'll meet you at the ship. I need to make sure Mr. Max get's out alright."

Mr. Donowitz nods and Mr. Max and Scot quickly leave the room.

The three of you stand in front of the plastiglass window overlooking Tauros' moon and the stars. Although you can't see it, you know in the distance is the Missile Frigate.

"Everyone ready? On 3... 2... 1..." Olivia raises her pistol and fires. The first shot spiderwebs the glass. The second bullet causes the glass to bulge outwards. The final bullet causes the glass to shatter outwards, along with the atmosphere in the room.

"Ok... We're going straight down. SHORT jumps. Hold onto whatever you can. Olivia, what hanger is it?" Mr. Donowitz says

"25" She replies, her voice staticy due to the suit.

"Alright, let's go." Mr. Donowitz steps to the edge and drops out of view. Olivia follows suit, and right after that, so do you.

You land on a small outcropping and cling to it, your suits magnets automatically attaching themselves. Before you, the entire station stretches out before you, with windows, outcroppings, antennas and cables running all over it's surface.

You disengage the magnets and drop down, snagging an antenna array with your hand and clinging to it. You drop again, onto a rounded radar dome. Olivia floats past you silently and lands flat against the station.

You and Mr. Donowitz float down to the craft. Up close the craft is even more intimidating, with overlapping armor plating and spindly antenna.

"How are we gonna get this thing off?" Mr. Donowitz says, examining the point where the Station met the Craft.

"There and there" You point "Those sections aren't riveted very well. We can pull those off, and the whole thing would depressurize... Violently."

Olivia floats down to you. "I heard you talking" She smiles through the suit and hands you a buzzsaw. "Get cutting"

Together you start sawing at the joints. Only a few seconds pass and then... The entire arm of the ship is ripped off by the force of the depressurization. Council troops come spilling out of the craft and slamming against the hull.... As well as some strange yellow gas that quickly dissipates.

Olivia is flung backwards by the strength of the blast though. She sails off and for a moment it seems as if she's gone... Until you see her, 30 meters distant, her foot caught in a tangle of cable.

"Olivia!" Mr. Donowitz shouts over the radio. No reply. She must have been knocked out by the blast. Or killed.

Out of the ruined Council landing craft comes a survivor. His armor is heavier then the others, and he, unlike the rest who were only wearing gasmasks, is wearing a full EVA suit.

"Watch out!" Mr.Donowitz launches himself at the Council Soldier and slams into him, sending them both veering off course and causing the Soldier to drop the SMG he had pointed at you.

You search the room and quickly spot the Main hanger door's control panel. You pop up and down another Orderly, but they're quickly surrounding you.

You spray the last of your bullets over your head and rush for the control panel. Bullets whiz by you but you block the out. You smash the open button.

"I got your back Renard!" It's an unfamiliar voice, possibly Tom's. The Gauss cannon on the ship comes to life and fires dozens of white-hot slugs into the Orderlies, tearing them to pieces. Those that survive are forced to take cover.

"Renard, we're leaving! Get on here, NOW!" Tracie's voice again.

The ship is floating across the rapidly depressurizing hanger. You spot the main engines start to fire up and sprint across the hanger floor. Bullets whiz around you.

You jump and land on the ships surface just as the main engines fire up. The ship rushes out of the Hanger as you cling to the ships hull, a cable in one hand, the edge of one of the Gauss turrets in the other,

"Holy Shit Renard! Get the fuck in here!" Tracie is laughing.

    "Coming around for another pass..."

"Don't give them the chance. Fire Sub-nuclear missile"

The ship shudders as the missile launches from it's hidden tube, lancing towards the oncoming fighters. At only 200 KM, the missile explodes, melting the first ship entirely. The second ship, which had been a full 30 K farther spun out of control, trailing fire and oxygen.

Tracie only hesitates a moment, then takes the ship in closer to the Missile frigate.

From the forward camera, you can see the launch tubes open, and missiles streak out towards the station. You're just out of range of the ships point defense guns, and just barely in range to fire your sub nuclear Missiles.

The missiles fire, one right after the other. They dash from your ship, directly at the Frigate. With it's radar jammed, they can't detect the Missiles until it's too late. It starts to boost it's engines right as the missiles impact.

The first missile takes out a cluster of maunevering thrusters on the Frigates side. Fuel and glowing, melted metal mark the area.

The Second missile does far more damage. It explodes, penetrating the armor guarding the secondary Missile tubes. A row of explosions tears through the side of the ship, culminating in a massive fireball that leaves a gaping hole in the Frigates starboard side.

"Scans show... They only have 50% engine power... And no more missiles." Scot says. "I can't tell anymore without the Radar"

Gauss rounds slag bits of the ships hull, but now the Frigate is fighting back. Two more council ships emerge from the Port side of the ship and move to intercept you, while the Missile Frigate boosts it's engines up to give chase. White hot heavy gauss rounds start slamming into the ship from multiple batteries.

You turn off the Radio jammer and it's instantly filled with Edward Esturrr shouting orders. He'd forgotten to cut the connection.

"How long until those reinforcements are here! Open fire with all batteries, ram them if you fucking have too!" He's shouting. It takes him a moment to notice the connection is open. Then "Get ready to die you slimy fucks."

More heavy Gauss rounds slam into your ship. Several cameras are melted, and some of the slugs have punched through the lower armor of the ship.

You turn tail and start to head for the asteroid field. You're juts slightly faster then the Frigate, and the Light Gauss cannons don't seem to be doing much to the Frigate.

You hurry down to the tiny walk-in closet that is the ship's medical bay. With one of the beds occupied, with Tracie and Mr. Max inside, it is exceedingly crowded.

You push your way in. Mr. Donowitz is pale. He looks from you to Tracie, to Mr. Max and then back again.

"Tracie... Tell him... everything..." Mr. Donowitz coughs up blood. "The ship is yours now. You're the only one that can fly it besides Tracie." He looks you dead in the eye.

"Now you know what we're fighting against. Now you just need to know how to beat them." Mr. Donowitz coughs again, moaning in pain.

    "Fucking Council..." He breathes.

    Mr. Donowitz is dead.
