    Barely a month old and perhaps not the most traditional Ork to ever turn up in the Goff clan, you have nonetheless made quite a name for yourself during your short life. Rallied to your side is a small warband of loyal boyz impressed by your kunnin' brutality and brutal kunnin', and with them and your loyal sidekick Grotlikka, you have managed to capture yourself a small human outpost.

    Still under construction when you attacked it, the base was heavily damaged during the battle. Your first priority should be repairing your defenses, but no doubt you are also eager to upgrade your facilities.

    Time is of the essence, and with limited resources you will have to choose how to go about building up your fortress carefully. You are surrounded by enemies with more dakka than you, so you can't afford to be reckless.

    Things are moving on a bit slowly. Will post State Of The Waaagh to give you some ideas.

    Personal Gear
    -1 Gob of Teef
    -Mega Armor
    Power Klaw, Shoota and Iron Gob.

    Important Guys
    -Grotlikka.
    After technically trying to kill each other, he ended up becoming your sidekick. Dead loyal, if a little unlucky.
    -Gutwort.
    Mekboy. Relies on his Gretchin slaves to do all the boring work, but loves (and has a major talent for) interesting stuff. Made your Mega Armor.
    -The Dok.
    A Grot that masterminded an escape from a particularly nasty Squig Herda - possibly the one that you met earlier. His little fingers can stitch up wounds a lot better than any Ork Dok could. Is touchy about the treatment of his "fellow lib'rated gretchen".

    Mobs
    -42 boyz
    7 tough ones with chain-choppas. 4 young ones with shootas. Rest are unarmed, and average.
    -6 Squigs
    Little, red, bitey and fast.
    -44 grots
    20 have lasrifles and looted 'ooman equipment. The rest are general labor, mostly oilers.
    -32 snotlings
    Simple, tiny and mostly ignored. Good at cultivating fungus, and not much else. Keep the squigs away from

    Vehicles
    -Killy Kart. Warbuggy with rokkit launcha. Fits 4
    -3 looted tanks
    Rhino chassis. 1 reinforced with a twin-linked big shoota. 1 reinforced with skorcha. 1 skorcha. All fit 6 boyz each. because
    -2 Trukks.
    Fit 15 boyz comfortably, more if you drive extra slow and make 'em hang off the sides.
    -3 Construction Vehicles
    1 heavy lifta, 1 digger and 1 bulldozer.

    The Base
    -Defenses
    Metal wall surrounding the base, a tower in each corner. East side has autocannons, but the battle destroyed the weapons on the west.
    -Supply & Command Depot
    Several storeys high. Majority of building is warehousing and unloading areas. Stairs to the rear leading to makeshift offices over floors.
    -Barracks
    Three separate buildings. Each can fit 20 Orkz, or at least twice as many runts.

    As with the vehicles, the western towers are utterly destroyed. Gutwort insists that he is up to the challenge of making more, but says that it will take time, and a generator to work some more komplicated machinery.

    While the Gretchen seem to have looted most of the flak armor and las weapons for themselves, the reamining dakka in the armory is perhaps better.

    Hmmm, base seems less easily defended, but our new weapon cache, seems like we can turn this base into a hollow shell, and ambush any folks who come along.

    Outfit the grenade launchers into some bomma boys, and start laying up an ambush for any one who comes along?

    Half of the Gretchen seem to have formed a a mob intent on defending their new, seemingly safe camp. Armed with lasguns and flak armor mostly too big for them, they should be able to keep a lookout from the towers at least.

    Most of the remaining Grots are oilers, but welding up the walls will take a lot of time. Gutwort says that he can fix up some weapons or the karts today, but probably not both.

    Finally, it does turn out that Grotlikka had forgotten to pile up the nuns bodies yesterday. When you search the depot for them, you find 12 bolters.

    Frustrated with the slow progress and lack of fings to krump, you throw down the funny hat you knicked from dat 'umie during the raid. Gutwort cackles and takes a wrench from his belt and waves it in the air.

    "See dis 'ere, Boss? Gottit from da Big Mek zonkz ago. I call it my lucky wun 'cos he never found out I knicked it. I'll get da tankz fixed up dead quick, roit."

    With that he wanders over to the depot to fix up the buggy and tanks. Grotlikka then assures you of similiar speediness and stomps off to boot sum boyz up da arse to get 'em werkin'.

    Neither job seems to take long and by early evening, with the boyz help, the wall has been (mostly) welded up good as new, the heavy stubbers have been twin-linked and raised to one of the towers, and all of your karts are now bodged up and painted a dark red (turns out there was none in the base, but Gutwort brought some with him from camp.)

    The Dok has spent the day organizing the snotlings, and despite his talk of compassion has not hesitated to knock a few around the head. It seems that there is now a fungus patch in the base, though it is too small to feed all the Orkz.

    It is now night time. Do you still want to go racing? If so, roll 1d100 and choose a location (nearby, north/west/east/south whatever)

    Any good Waaagh needs good drivers, and after relying on your boyz to sort out amongst themselves who gets to drive, you decide to organise a proper speedy race to decide who gets to drive your karts. The boyz, as always, are more than enthused about driving at dangerous speeds, but the prospect of doing it at night and finding some more 'umies to klobber just makes it all the better.

    You choose 20 boys to bring along with you, plus Grotlikka. Knowing that the camp can't be left unsupervised, Gutwort and some boyz are left behind to keep The Dok in line and hold the line in case any 'umies turn up wanting their base back. The only "rules" you establish for the race are "If you shoot at da Boss' karts you get fed to da squigs."

    You head off north, or at least what you think is north. Knowing that they are competing for a position of prestige in the slowly forming heirarchy of your Waaagh, the drivers are even more reckless than usual. The three of them more or less keep up with one another, and although they refrain from shooting, there is a lot of ramming.

    Eventually though one of them - in the shoota tank - takes the lead, and even in the buggy your personal driver sturggles to keep up. Heavy pollution has ensured an almost pitch-black night, and with the rough terrain of this area it will be difficult to keep an eye on the shooty tank if keeps up his speed. What do?

    Datz da boy fer da job! You yell at a boy to signal the end of the race. He fires a rokkit into the air and shortly after the drivers slow to a stop and the winning driver turns around to return to the group.

    The karts have come to a stop in an unusual part of the wasteland, overgrown with a variety of strange plants that cling to the floor and encircle rocks. They crunch as you jump off of the buggy, and seem to make a whiney sound as you stomp towards the shooty tank to congratulate the driver.

    He is a deranged looking Ork without any armor. He has several slug shaped skars on his chest and Orky glyphs painted on him in blue and red. You tell him he done a good 'un, and that he is now going to be your personal driver. He looked pleased.

    "Hurhur, had a feelin' I might win. Boyz said I 'ad a knack fer it since I knocked over da girlnaught."

    Although you couldn't bring any burna boyz, the skorchas on the on the tanks are still full. You order the boys to torch the area - without trapping yourself in a circle of fire.

    As the plants wither and die, the low whine of "pain" that they let out when stomped on instead changing to a high pitched shriek. There is no sign of other life (yet), but the flames keep growing and growing, and the smoke should be visible from miles away.

    This seems so tragic to me. I feel like I've killed a puppy.

    Your boyz seem unnerved by the unseen presence of other boyz, and the feeling of being watched from the dark caves lining the cliffs. Some want to leave quickly, not seeing the point in fighting with a rival clan. The others grin cruelly, feeling confident that their freshly looted dakka will be more than a match for the loonie Snakebitez.

    Before you can make a call either way, something crunches beneath a wheel of your buggy and a guttural scream is let out from a cave. A hail of spears appear from above, but despite their crude construction pierce the side of a skorcha tank. Several of your boyz start firing wildly at shadows, but the Orky screams have died down, replaced by horrible hissing.

    The skorcha tanks aim high and the burny fuel spurts out in globs. Several cave entrances are coated, their dark outlines replaced by a wall of flame.

    The area is soon illuminated in by the warm orange-glow, but no Snakebitez have appeared. The hissing is as loud as ever, with a mixture of guttural cries of pain, but there are yet caves too high up the cliff face to burn. Shapes shift out of these holes and along the narrow walkways carved into the rock, then cling to the wall and move further down.

    As they approach the flame you can see green skin, but it seems that there is something wrong. No Ork should be able to climb that well, and these boyz seem to have purple armor covering them, almost chitinous in appearance.

    The skorchas start aiming for the ground, the shoota for the cliff face. Those Orkz hit squelch and write and spit out violet blood, but several cling tightly to the rock even with missing limbs.

    The inferno covering the exit burns fiercely. Those quigs stupid enough to attempt to pass it melt into gooey puddles. The hissing never stops though, and it seems that the swarm of climbing Orknids are not adversed to great leaps, either. Several dozen coat the walls of the cliffs, and many more have scuttled and leaped over the flames blocking the entrance. They don't walk like Orkz, preferring to gallop using their lean, pale arms as front legs. Now closer than ever, you notice that they have elaborate carapce structures on their heads.

    Enormous beyond compare, none of your boyz have ever seen such a specimen of Squiggly might before. And certainly not one like this.

    The thuds reach a terrible rhythm as the Squiggoth moves through the flames, too wide to fit the gap but too strong to be stopped. It crushes the lesser creatures running beside it as it goes, roaring and thrashing awfully.

    Though difficult to see in the poorly illuminated distance, it almost seems that it has too many limbs...

    Your boyz have trained their guns on it but to little effect. Your skorcha does not want to slow down enough to get in range, while your shooty tank seems to only enrage it further. It is doubtful that you can outrun it in the open, and the only significant terrain features are disappearing in the distance behind you.

    Your boyz carry on firing at the Squiggoth but it is no use. Now far from the illuminating glow of promethium, it is difficult to aim and even more difficult to tell when the shots hit.

    Your gunner twists the launcha around and fires a rokkit beneath the squig, a direct hit on the shifting mass of it's underbelly. It explodes with the sound of shraphnel bursting pustules and shredding blubber, purple blood and bits of tentacle flying in all directions.

    The squiggoth trips and sprawls on the floor, roars of agony as more blood pools out from it. Druzka keeps the car close, circling it at speed for safety. There are still alien cries of pain, and Orknids scuttling off of it.

    Druzka slows the kart down as you make a close pass of the squiggoth. Without any finesse you jump out of the kart and crash to the ground, rattling the looser bits of your mega armor. The kart slows down a little further on and keeps in close range, your boys picking off the scuttling Orkynids that they can see. Few seem to be advancing on you, but at this close range you can see a bigger problem - the squiggoth's belly seems to be spewing forth dozens of smaller, gribblier beasts.

    You advance towards it without any hesitation, shooting as you go and easily cleaving in half off the burnt up Ork hybrid that attempted to pounce on you. The Squiggoth is dying, and still on the ground, but it is thrashing and roaring, it's vast, razor sharp tusks reaching meters in front of its head. You continue to fire at the massive open wound on it's stomach, the internal organs and its spawn bursting and exploding again and again.

    In the distance you can hear your two remaining tanks dealing with their own problems.

    You charge the head, ignoring the oozing balls of teeth crawling up your suit as you reach out with your power klaw. The beast connects with a hit and you are knocked back slightly, but your grip was strong and managed to snap off the tusk. Unable to reach you with the other, you hurry on and reach it's face, ficing directly at it's eyes. Squealing, shrieking and now blind, it is helpless as you finally plunge your klaw through its ear, powdering bone and frying what little brain matter it had.

    Time to clean up the rest and see if tyranids taste good! How much squiggoth hybrid can be towed back to base? Bringing back some game meat - that'll impress the lads. Any lottable armor carapace will come in handy, sharp bone bits can be stuck on fings to make them orkier an' the skull will look AWSUM if it's mounted in the base! (and painted)

    The great squiggly beast of the Bugboyz dead, you let out a Waaagh cry louder than ever before, demonstrating quite clearly how much bigger and 'arder you are now. The grubby parasites crawling all over you are difficult to reach however, and impossible to shoot, but fortunately your only exposed point is your head. Swarming and ravenous, the centipede-like creatures head for your face and attempt to crawl into your mouth, oozing with a green acid.

    I guess they didn't realise that you were getting kinda hungry, anyway.

    After eating every single one of the gitz that try to crawl into you, you survey the scene. It is several miles from the Snakebite caves and the majority of the horde will take quite a while to reach your group, if they are even still trying. Those few Orkynids that hitched a ride on the squiggoth have been shot by the boyz on your buggy, or have fled the scene under the cover of darkness [lol cliche]. It's time to mop things up.

    The entire carcass of the beast is far too big to drag back to the base, but the skull, a portion of the carapace, the tusks and maybe a few bones should be easily doable. Indeed, it takes a mere moment to break off the other tusk with your klaw, and a pair of chain-choppa boys manage to cut off it's head and a section of carapace without any trouble.

    We may (probably) have lost a tonk. Apart from that we got away scott free, but one tonk is STILL almost a quarter of our heavy armour gone. I was hoping to make a tank/vehicle-heavy army to help smash the humies with, but it looks like there's a new threat.

    Great chunks of squiggoth meat, carapace, bone and tusks are piled into the kart until the boyz have to hang off the edges just to fit.

    You have to head past the Snakebite caves to get back to camp anyway, so checking for the skorcha tank isn't much effort. It appears the the tank - and Orknidz have dissappeared, however, though the fires still rage in their cave system. Your convoy continues on back to the camp, the night almost turning to a dirty morning as you pull through the gates.

    The gretchen on guard duty seem to have been supervised by several Orkz, but the majority of the base is sadly asleep for your triumphant return and display of trophies.

    It seems that work continued late into the night while you were gone, however, and all the damage to the buildings exteriors has been bodged up.

    Leaving some boyz to sort out the spoils, you head off for a snooze.
